If there are any lingering doubts that ACORN has been an
organization that was squarely in the tank for Democrats, ACORN (which
has never been coy about its thuggery and aspirations of political
power) has offered proof in their own words. ACORN's 39th Anniversary
celebration takes place on June 17th, 2009 and it promises to be filled
with a who's who of Democrats.
Sadly
for new puppies everywhere, this announcement is also another nail in
the coffin of the Main Stream Media, as the RSVP at the bottom is that
of The Advance Group, a major firm specializing in public relations.
The Advance Group has many contacts in the MSM, but this event has been
surprisingly kept under wraps. How is it possible that ACORN, who is in
the middle of a ground war with bloggers and right leaning newspapers
across the country (MSM reports only when they have to), has managed to
plan a major event in DC with little media scrutiny. The email
accompanying the attachment is also very telling, the full text appears
below. The ACORN ties of each honoree or member would require another
10 to 15 posts.
While the Association of Community
Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, remains under investigation for voter
registration fraud and related allegations in at least 14 states, one former
insider told WND the organization acted as unofficial arm of the Democratic
Party during the recent election and used cash operations to keep some financial
transactions under wraps.
In 2005, Anita Moncrief began working in the
Strategic Writing and Research Department of ACORN Political Operations and its
affiliate Project Vote. She said she conducted voter fraud research and census
research and worked with political organizers. Moncrief left the organization in
January 2008.
"It has always been a Democrat operation," she told WND.
"They've never made any secrets about who they support. Their political action
committees are usually set up to support these Democratic candidates."

If she is correct, they should really be able to help the
Dems as part of Obama's national census team. Which is why we must tip our hats to the wonderful Michele Bachman:
Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann told the Washington Times that she
and her family will not be fully filling out the 2010 census forms.
Bachmann, a Republican, said her family will only be indicating the
number of people in the household, because “the Constitution doesn’t
require any information beyond that.”
Bachmann believes the upcoming census to be “very intricate” and
“very personal” and expresses concerns about ACORN’s involvement in the
data collection. The community organizing program came under scrunity
after charges of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential
elections.
“I think what the threat of ACORN would be deluding the ballot box
and the effectiveness of our vote,” she said. “They will be in charge
of going door to door and collecting data from the American public,
this is very concerning.”
Bachmann also expressed frustration at the president’s backing for
ACORN, saying he has supplied $8.4 billion to ACORN since he has come
into office, a number that far surpasses the $53 million given in the
past 15 years.
Protesters closely aligned
with Democrats nearly knocked a Republican senator to the floor and spit in the
face of his chief of staff.
Sen. James Alesi, of Monroe County, walked out of the
chamber later today, not seriously harmed. He said he was disturbed by the crowd
of at least 150 people, including those from Citizen Action and ACORN - the
Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
Both groups deny their supporters spat on anyone, saying they
were protesting the coalition of Republicans and two dissident Democrats who
claim to have taken power of the Senate.
Republican Sen. George H. Winner Jr., of Elmira, blames
Angelo Aponte, secretary of the Senate, for not preventing the protest. Winner
says Aponte violated chamber rules by allowing it to go on.

Protesters who were part of an angry
mob that included many ACORN activists nearly knocked New York state Sen.
James Alesi, a Republican, down to the floor and also spat in the face of his
chief of staff, according to reports.
The protesters were reportedly upset that two Democratic senators had decided
to caucus with Republicans — a move that, when finalized by the state Senate,
would hand Republicans control of that body. Majority Democrats have shut down
the chamber to prevent the transfer of power.
In 1995, for instance, ACORN attracted attention when about 500 of its
activists stormed the Washington, D.C. Hilton, forcing then-House Speaker Newt
Gingrich (R-Georgia) to cancel a speech he was to give to county commissioners.
Demonstrators chanting “Nuke Newt!” grabbed the microphone in the hall and took
over the head table. When the speech was cancelled, ACORN activists cheered.
Later that year, ACORN mobilized when a congressional panel began considering
reforms to the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which many blame for the
subprime mortgage bubble and its subsequent collapse. Led by ACORN’s national
president, the
ever-confrontational Maude Hurd, the activists commandeered the microphone
and chanted, “CRA has got to stay!” and “Banks for greed, not for need!” Arrests
followed, and efforts to free the activists were led by ACORN
allies Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) and Rep. Joe Kennedy
(D-Massachusetts). The U.S. Capitol Police let the activists go only when Rep.
Maxine
Waters (D-California), exhibiting
her characteristic defiance and political arrogance, showed up at the
detention facility and threatened to stay put until the demonstrators were
released.
Across the United States, ACORN activists have seized abandoned houses and
encouraged homeless people to squat there, claiming these actions would convince
authorities to convert the structures into low-income housing.
Meanwhile, Pennsylvania state Rep. Stephen Barrar, a Republican, is
circulating a petition calling on his state’s attorney general to
investigate ACORN.
Decision Bars Georgia From Continuing
Voter Verification Process
Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel issued the
following statement following the U.S. Department of Justice’s denial of
preclearance of Georgia’s voter verification process
Atlanta - “The decision by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to deny
preclearance of Georgia’s already implemented citizenship verification process
shows a shocking disregard for the integrity of our elections. With this
decision, DOJ has now barred Georgia from continuing the citizenship
verification program that DOJ lawyers helped to craft. DOJ’s decision also
nullifies the orders of two federal courts directing Georgia to implement the
procedure for the 2008 general election. The decision comes seven months after
Georgia requested an expedited review of the preclearance submission.
“DOJ has thrown open the door for activist organizations such as ACORN to
register non-citizens to vote in Georgia’s elections, and the state has no
ability to verify an applicant’s citizenship status or whether the individual
even exists. DOJ completely disregarded Georgia’s obvious and direct interest in
preventing non-citizens from voting, instead siding with the ACLU and MALDEF.
Clearly, politics took priority over common sense and good public policy. “This process is critical to protecting the integrity of our elections. We
have evidence that non-citizens have voted in past Georgia elections and that
more than 2,100 individuals have attempted to register, yet still have questions
regarding their citizenship. Further, the Inspector General’s office is
investigating more than 30 cases of non-citizens casting ballots in Georgia
elections, including the case of a Henry County non-citizen who registered to
vote and cast ballots in 2004 and 2006.
“It is important to underscore that not a single person has come forward to
say he or she could not vote because of the verification process. Further, while
DOJ argues that the process is somehow discriminatory, the historic voter
turnout among Hispanic and African-American voters in the 2008 general elections
clearly says otherwise.

During the actual voting, Black Panther party members threatened with deadly weapons, voters at the polls and blocked poll and campaign workers by "threat of force".
Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party for
Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the Obama
Justice Department, FOX News has learned.
The charges stemmed from an incident at a Philadelphia polling place on
Election Day 2008 when three members of the party were accused of trying to
threaten voters and block poll and campaign workers by the threat of force --
one even brandishing what prosecutors call a deadly weapon.
The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and
Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush
administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats
and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors
said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he
"supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews."
The Obama administration won the case last month, but moved to dismiss the
charges on May 15.
The complaint says the men hurled racial slurs at both blacks and whites.
A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case noted
that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south in the 1960's
and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said it was the most
blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen.
In his affidavit, obtained by FOX News, Bull wrote "I watched the two
uniformed men confront voters and attempt to intimidate voters. They were
positioned in a location that forced every voter to pass in close proximity to
them. The weapon was openly displayed and brandished in plain sight of
voters."
He also said they tried to "interfere with the work of other poll observers
... whom the uniformed men apparently believed did not share their preferences
politically," noting that one of the panthers turned toward the white poll
observers and said "you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker."
A spokesman for the Department of Justice told FOX News, "The Justice
Department was successful in obtaining an injunction that prohibits the
defendant who brandished a weapon outside a Philadelphia polling place from
doing so again. Claims were dismissed against the other defendants based on a
careful assessment of the facts and the law. The department is committed to the
vigorous prosecution of those who intimidate, threaten or coerce anyone
exercising his or her sacred right to vote."
Three men were accused of trying to threaten voters and block poll and
campaign workers by the threat of force -- one even brandishing what prosecutors
call a deadly weapon.
Obama earmarked billions to ACORN. Is 2010 even viable? What percent do rational, reasoned Americans have to win? We always knew that a 5 to 6% ghost vote (dead, illegal, fictitious "voters) were in the mix -- but is this even surmountable?
The 2008 election has passed, and some people are going to tell me to just
drop it...Obama won, but I answer did he win fairly? There are new allegations
coming out of Nevada, that might suggest that over half of the votes in Las
Vegas could be fraudulent. This might have turned the state to Obama, and John
McCain should have won the state.
The Secretary of State of Nevada, a
Democrat, believes the votes might have been a fraud, and he is prosecuting.

This is a serious
allegation, and not everyone in the media is following this story. The only ones
really are Fox News, and bloggers like this website.
Even if this
allegation is true, and it turned out John McCain would have won the state, it
still wouldn't tip the election away from Obama, but the question is how
widespread is this case? Could there be other states that were affected by
ACORN, and could possibly have influenced the outcome of the election?
We
will continue to follow this story as it unfolds, and report on the Secretary of
States findings.

part of the budget approved by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and state
lawmakers.

To an observer from outside Louisiana, it’s
sometimes difficult to tell where SEIU ends and
ACORN begins. The union and the community
organization seem to merge. The relationship is
easier to understand when one learns that Wade
Rathke, who founded the New Orleans ACORN
chapter 30 years ago, is also the chief organizer
of SEIU local 100. The two are fraternal, not

When employees of Rathke’s SEIU Local 100 wanted
to organize themselves into a union, Rathke relied on
his wife and brother to plot out an aggressive (and
hypocritical) union-avoidance strategy. One former
employee reported that after employees provided
Rathke with a petition demanding union recognition:
Rathke quickly called a meeting of ACORN’s inner
circle, which included his wife, Beth Butler, head
organizer of Louisiana ACORN, and Rathke’s
brother Dale, who is the financial guru of the outfit.
The troika devised a variety of tactics, such as can be expected from any union-busting corporation, to
divide and destroy our solidarity.

and other Rathke/ACORN-run operations.
Democrats are split on how to deal with Acorn, the liberal "community organizing" group that deployed thousands of get-out-the-vote workers last election. State and city Democratic officials -- who've been contending with its many scandals -- are moving against it. Washington Democrats are still sweeping Acorn abuses under a rug.
On Monday, Nevada officials charged Acorn, its regional director and its Las Vegas field director with submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration forms last year. Larry Lomax, the registrar of voters in Las Vegas, says he believes 48% of Acorn's forms "are clearly fraudulent." On Thursday, prosecutors in Pittsburgh, Pa., also charged seven Acorn employees with filing hundreds of fraudulent voter registrations before last year's general election.
Acorn spokesman Scott Levenson calls the Nevada criminal complaint "political grandstanding" and says that any problems were the actions of an unnamed "bad employee." But Catherine Cortez Masto, Nevada's Democratic Attorney General, told the Las Vegas Sun that Acorn itself is named in the criminal complaint. She says that Acorn's training manuals "clearly detail, condone and . . . require illegal acts," such as requiring its workers to meet strict voter-registration targets to keep their jobs.
Other Democrats on the ground have complaints. Fred Voight, deputy election commissioner in Philadelphia, protested after Acorn (according to the registrar of voters and his own investigation) submitted at least 1,500 fraudulent registrations last fall. "This has been going on for a number of years," he told CNN in October. St. Louis Democrat Matthew Potter, the city's deputy elections director, had similar complaints.
Elsewhere, Washington state prosecutors fined Acorn $25,000 after several employees were convicted of voter registration fraud in 2007. The group signed a consent decree with King County (Seattle), requiring it to beef up its oversight or face criminal prosecution. In the 2008 election, Acorn's practices led to investigations, some ongoing, in 14 other states.
The stink is bad enough that some congressional Democrats have taken notice. At a March 19 hearing on election problems, Michigan Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, pressed New York Rep. Gerald Nadler, chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, to hold a hearing on Acorn. He called the charges against it "serious." Mr. Nadler agreed to consider the request.
Mr. Nadler's office now says there will be no hearing on Acorn because Mr. Conyers has changed his mind. Mr. Conyers's office released a statement on Monday saying that after reviewing "the complaints against Acorn, I have concluded that a hearing on this matter appears unwarranted at this time." A Democratic staffer told me he believes the House leadership put pressure on Mr. Conyers to back down. Mr. Conyers's office says it is "unaware" of any contacts with House leaders.
Then there's Barney Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. Last month, he voted for a committee amendment (to the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act) by Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R., Minn.) to block groups indicted for voter fraud from receiving federal housing or legal assistance grants. Identical language was passed into law in the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. Mr. Frank now says he "had not read [the amendment] carefully" before backing it. He gutted the amendment on Thursday, claiming that the language Congress passed just last year is "a violation of the basic principles of due process."
A lot of money is at stake. In the stimulus bill passed by Congress, Acorn is eligible -- along with other activist groups -- to apply for $2 billion in funds to redevelop abandoned and foreclosed homes. Meanwhile, public records show that last spring the IRS filed three tax liens totaling almost $1 million against Acorn, most of which concerned employee withholding.

The acting director of the U.S. Census Bureau, Thomas Mesenbourg, told
CNSNews.com that the bureau intends to work with community
organizations to make sure every illegal alien in the United States is
counted in the 2010 Census.
The Census is used to apportion the seats in the U.S. House of
Representatives. States with more people get more seats in the U.S.
House.
This means that a state harboring more illegal aliens can gain more
House seats as long as the Census Bureau finds the illegal aliens and
counts them. This also means that the illegal alien population resident
in the United States during a census year has the potential to alter
the regional and philosophical balance of power in Congress.
Mesenburg said: "Our job is to count everyone that resides in the U.S.
-- count them once. So, certainly that’s our goal to count every
individual, every resident whether they’re documented, undocumented,
whether they are citizens or non-citizens."
Ruben Keoseyan, publisher of the newspaper La Raza, said the
organizations at the press conference have partnered with the Census
Bureau to help undocumented immigrants "come out and register" for the
census.
"This is not just a partnership among the people that you see here,"
said Keoseyan. "This is also a partnership with the Census Bureau
because we believe that we can aid in helping those people come out and
register and participate in the census. It’s a much easier form. It’s
going to be in Spanish."
The NY Times killed a story during election season because they knew it would kill Obama's chances to win the election. Could the stakes have been higher? Those who sat on the story ought to be indicted.
It's criminal, because the American people count on media to vet our candidates. More proof that the mainstream committed the greatest act of perfidy in American history and installed a criminal and an enemy in the most powerful office in the world. Wow.
It strikes me that this is an entirely appropriate subject for
more Congressional investigation, because if some of the allegations are true,
there is a good chance that (surprise!) ACORN may have been implicated in
violating federal election law.
As the debate continues over the fate of
America's newspapers, it's worth asking: If this happened, did the New York
Times really live up to what's supposed to be a newspaper's...
A lawyer involved with legal action against Association of Community
Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) told a House Judiciary subcommittee on
March 19 The New York Times had killed a story in October that would have shown
a close link between ACORN, Project Vote and the Obama campaign because it would
have been a “a game changer.”
Heather Heidelbaugh, who represented the
Pennsylvania Republican State Committee in the lawsuit against the group,
recounted for the ommittee what she had been told by a former ACORN worker who
had worked in the group’s Washington, D.C. office. The former worker, Anita
Moncrief, told Ms. Heidelbaugh last October, during the state committee’s
litigation against ACORN, she had been a “confidential informant for several
months to The New York Times reporter, Stephanie Strom.”

President Obama just released his proposal for the 2010 federal budget. ACORN
members are excited that the President has produced such a progressive budget
proposal that resets America's priorities in historic fashion to provide real
funding to programs that are extremely important to low- and moderate-income
families.

included in the Senate and House's version of the budget. Particular pressure is
needed in the Senate to guarantee that a progressive budget is passed that

A lawyer for a whistleblower on the activist group ACORN is prepared to tell
a House panel Thursday that the group provided liberal causes with
protest-for-hire services and coerced donations from the targets of
demonstrations through a mob-style "protection" racket.
ACORN called it the "muscle for the money" program, according to prepared
testimony Pittsburgh lawyer Heather Heidelbaugh plans to
deliver at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution,
civil rights and civil liberties.
A copy of her prepared testimony was obtained by The Washington Times.
The protest shakedowns are among a slew of accusations that Ms. Heidelbaugh
intends to make against the Association
of Community Organizations for Reform Now. She also will accuse the
nonprofit group of violating tax, campaign-finance and other laws by sharing a
list of President Obama's maxed-out campaign donors to solicit more funds for a
get-out-the-vote drive.
The accusations, which are based entirely on sworn court testimony late last
year by ACORN whistleblower Anita Moncrief, range from unlawfully coordinating
campaign activity with Mr. Obama's presidential campaign to deliberately
engaging in voter-registration fraud and misusing federal grant money.
ACORN officials say none of the charges is true, though they declined to
respond to any of the separate claims.
"None of this wild and varied list of charges has any credibility, and we're
not going to spend our time on it," said Kevin Whelan, ACORN deputy political
director. He said the group's voter-registration drive succeeded in bringing
many disaffected minority and low-income voters into the democratic process.
Ms. Heidelbaugh, a member of the executive committee of the Republican
National Lawyers Association, spearheaded an unsuccessful lawsuit last year
seeking a court injunction in Pennsylvania against ACORN's voter-registration
drive for the 2008 presidential campaign.
Republican members of the committee invited her to appear as a witness.
Ms. Moncrief, who worked for years as a clerk at the ACORN office in the
District before being fired for charging about $2,000 in personal expenses on an
ACORN credit card, is not scheduled to testify. Ms. Heidelbaugh said the
whistleblower will be present as a guest at the hearing.

The prepared testimony described two facets of the "muscle for the money"
program, an official and unofficial program.
The "official" program is the name of the ACORN voter-registration drives.
The Obama campaign paid an ACORN affiliate group more than $800,000 for these
get-out-the-vote services during the primary race, though the expenditure was
initially misrepresented to the Federal Election Commission as for "sound and
lighting equipment," but later corrected.
The "unofficial" program collected payments to organize protests. For
example, the Service Employees International Union hired ACORN to harass the
Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm. Other paid protests targeted
Sherwin-Williams, H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt and Money Mart, according to the
testimony.

The protests then became a way to extract corporate donations.
"The protesting was used to get companies to negotiate. The companies would
pay money to get the protesting to stop," Ms. Heidelbaugh said, quoting Ms.
Moncrief's court testimony. "In addition to calling this activity 'Muscle for
the Money,' the insiders at ACORN called it 'protection.' "
The hearing likely will rekindle criticism of the financial ties and close
cooperation between Mr. Obama's campaign and ACORN and its sister organizations
Citizens Services Inc. and Project Vote.
The groups came under fire during the campaign after probes into suspected
voter fraud in a series of presidential battleground states, including Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Mexico and Nevada.
This is madness. What this constitutes is a coup on the American electoral system, a usurpation of the will of the people, a government by the people for the people made into a sham. More than half the voter registrations turned in by ACORN canvassers during
the last election were not valid, according to testimony to be presented before
a House Judiciary subcommittee.
The testimony is from Anita MonCrief, a former employee of an affiliate of
the Association of Community Organizations. MonCrief, who was fired for
improperly charging personal expenses to the ACORN affiliate, originally
testified under oath as part of a request by the Republican State Committee in
Pennsylvania for an injunction against ACORN. The request was denied. The FBI
has been investigating the liberal community organizing group for possible voter
registration fraud.
MonCrief will appear at the congressional hearing Thursday with Heather
Heidelbaugh, who represented the Republican committee in the civil suit and is
on the executive board of the Republican National Lawyers Association. She will
provide a legal analysis of MonCrief’s testimony.
“We will be presenting evidence that ACORN is engaged in voter registration
irregularities and fraud,” Heidelbaugh tells Newsmax,
According to MonCrief, ACORN considered 40 percent an acceptable level of
accurate voter registrations turned in by its workers. She said ACORN barely
trained its workers in how to register voters properly and would fire employees
if they did not meet a quota of 20 new voter applicants daily. If the
registration cards turned in did not meet the quota, supervisors were told to
“fire them right there; don’t let them waste your money for the day.”
If a canvasser was caught committing fraud, ACORN threw the individual “under
the bus,” MonCrief said. ACORN employees were briefed on how to deny that voter
registration fraud existed, she said.
According to MonCrief, the Obama presidential campaign called her in October
2007 asking for coordination in soliciting donations from people who had already
made the maximum contribution to Obama allowed by election laws. MonCrief
testified that she was given a massive database of Obama donors who had already
reached the limit. Her task was to cull it for potential donors who would then
donate to Project Vote, an ACORN affiliate which targets individuals and
entities to solicit donations.
If true, MonCrief’s allegations constitute violations of the Internal Revenue
Code, federal campaign finance laws, and laws against voter registration fraud,
according to a memo by Cleta Mitchell, co-chairman of the Republican National
Lawyers Association.
President Obama tried to steal the census (here) and that didn't work. Folks caught on too fast, and so did Judd. There's a lot of money, power and politics tied to that census. Obama is sending in his thug army.
If you saw Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck voting at a polling location near you,
they were probably registered by an ACORN volunteer.
This corrupt organization has faced lawsuit after lawsuit claiming the group
is responsible for massive voter fraud. What did the group do after that? They
moved on to "help" people break the law by breaking into locked-down, foreclosed
homes and encouraging the evicted home owners to continue living in the homes,
even though they could not pay the bills. Now, this group will be helping with
the 2010 census.

So, people who got into homes they couldn't afford and don't pay their bills
are not only encouraged by ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for
Reform Now) to remain in their homes, they are also being aided by ACORN to do

As Fox News reports, ACORN "signed on as a national partner with
the U.S. Census Bureau in February 2009 to assist with the recruitment of the
1.4 million temporary workers needed to go door-to-door to count every person in
the United States."
Just how accurate do you think this census is going to be with ACORN
involved? Much is at stake with the new census. As I wrote last month in U.S. Census Becomes Focus
of Latest Power Grab, Obama already is looking to exert more control
over the census. The census not only determines congressional allocation, but it
also provides the raw data by which government spending is allocated on
everything from roads to schools.
ACORN has been accused of voter fraud, embezzlement, and more... and yet this
is a group that the federal government wants helping with the census?
"It's a concern, especially when you look at all the different charges of
voter fraud. And it's not just the lawmakers' concern. It should be the concern
of every citizen in the country," Rep. Lynn A. Westmoreland, R-Ga., vice ranking
member of the subcommittee for the U.S. Census, told FOXNews.com. "We want an
enumeration. We don't want to have any false numbers."
The news story quotes an ACORN spokesman, Scott Levenson, as saying that
ACORN "has not been charged with any crime." Levinson adds, "ACORN is committed
to a fair and accurate count." Does anyone actually believe that?
In order to carry out the census, a large number of volunteers are needed.
But what is not needed is help from an organization that claims to be
non-partisan but goes out of its way to support left wing candidates and causes.
ACORN should not be anywhere near the census process.
Deeply deeply troubling Obama development. President b. Hussein is removing the Census from the Commerce department and moving it to the White House. Bear in mind that President O has allocated one billion dollars in the porkulous package for the already automatically funded census taking.
Look at the seal of the Bureau of the Census. It was the intent of the framers of the this great country (the first census after the American Revolution was taken in 1790 under Secretary of StateThomas Jefferson) to keep the census out of partisan hands. This move by ACORN organizer and current President seems a deliberate violation of the Constitution. And yes, I think his ACORN days (illegal voter registrations etc) and the gaming of the Census data are tied.
Is this another reason why the 'President' named Judd Gregg as Commerce secretary - to cite "conflict of interest"? Scary, eh?

Everyone
knows that it is possible to organize a Decennial Census in a way that
benefits one party or another politically. One way to effectuate this
otherwise unpalatable departure from the Census Bureau's two hundred
year history of non-partisanship is to put the Bureau administratively
under direction of the politicos in the White House. In reality that
would be a sure invitation to cook the books on the highly
consequential count of Americans.
Advocates argue that putting the 2010 Census under direct White
House control somehow assures a higher priority to its mission. This is
cynical. It puts a priority on manipulation of carefully derived Census
criteria. The only reason the White House would want to be involved is
in figuring out how to add more voting power to certain states and
groups within states.
Simply put, there is no excuse for this idea. it is not true that the
Census Bureau has ever been under the direct management of the White
House, and for good reason. Even if angels were in charge of the
Executive Mansion, if the nation's premier statistical agency were
placed under White House direction the danger to public trust would be
enormous. The Decennial count is one of the few federal functions
specifically described in the Constitution itself and must be operate
above suspicion of politics.
I was Director of the Census from 1981 to '83 in the Reagan
Administration. I always was made to feel conscious of the sound public
servants who had preceded me and, regardless of who appointed them,
defended the decennial count. . I have known directors from the Kennedy
era (the estimable Richard Scaammon) to the G. W. Bush Administration
(the very professional Louis Kincannon). I don't know anyone who cares
for the integrity of the Bureau and its products who would desire to
see the Census Bureau report directly to the White House.
Power flows from an accurate Census Count. Everyone involved for
years has seen the count therefore a sacred trust. It must not be
polluted with even a semblance of Presidential meddling.
The power grab continues. My bet is that Old Media will also
maintain its studied ignorance of this development, despite years of
whining about alleged Executive Branch excesses during the Bush
administration.
Now it looks like Barack Obama’s inner circle is going to teach the
Census Bureau how to count in 2010. CQpolitics.com this morning
reported that the White House is taking the next decennial census away
from the Commerce Department, and keeping it for itself.
The reason given why Commerce is supposedly not up to the job is
that nominee Judd Gregg of New Hampshire fought Bill Clinton in the
mid-1990s over “emergency funding” for the 2000 census that was really
an attempt by the Clinton administration to cook the books.
The director of the Census Bureau will report directly
to the White House and not the secretary of Commerce, according to a
senior White House official.
The decision came after black and Hispanic leaders raised questions
about Commerce Secretary nominee Judd Gregg ’s commitment to funding
the census.
Gregg, New Hampshire’s senior senator, voted in committee and on the
floor for a 1995 Republican budget that envisioned the elimination of
the Commerce Department. Of even more concern to black and Hispanic
leaders, Gregg battled President Clinton over a request for “emergency”
funding for the 2000 census.
The back story that this report did not pick up is this, as taken from an itself heavily-biased June 3, 1998 story at the Los Angeles Times (bolds are mine):
Commenting on a dispute that has become highly partisan, President Clinton on Tuesday argued for the use of statistical sampling techniques for the next U.S. census, promising that the method would avoid the 1990 undercounting of minorities and children.
“It’s not about politics. It’s about
people,” Clinton declared to applause at a community center in a Latino
neighborhood of Houston. “It’s about making sure that every
American–literally and really–counts.”
Against a backdrop of one of the most undercounted cities in the nation, he added: “Nobody’s got an ax to grind.”
Actually, the once-a-decade exercise of counting America’s heads has turned into a fiercely partisan matter. The
Democratic White House wants to introduce statistical projections into
the year 2000 census and not depend solely on counting individuals one
by one. Republicans generally have assailed the proposal as a violation
of the Constitution, which calls for “actual enumeration,” and a ploy by Democrats to bolster their standing when districts are redrawn after the census.
“This just opens the door to tremendous political corruption,”
said Grover Norquist, a conservative activist who is part of
a coalition, Citizens for an Honest Count, that wants the census to
stick to traditional methods of counting people.

confirms my memory that the courts threw out stat sampling for the
constitutional reason cited above. But of course, book-cooking — err,
stat sampling — fans weren’t done (bolds are mine; paragraph breaks
added by me for readability):
In 1999, the Supreme Court had settled one part of the
issue, ruling that sampling adjusted figures could not be used to
apportion seats in Congress. But it left the door open for other uses, like redrawing congressional districts within a state and allocating federal funds.
Late last year, then President Clinton ordered that the Census
Bureau director, a nonpartisan civil servant, should decide whether to
adjust the 2000 census figures through sampling. But the Bush
administration reversed that order, saying the census… census
director’s boss, Commerce Secretary Donald Evans. Today the Census
Bureau in a written statement, they recommended to Evans that he not
use sampling to adjust the Bureau’s official figures for the purpose of
redistricting.
In a memo to Evans, acting Census Director William Barons, said the
Bureau “was unable, based on the data and other information currently
available, to conclude that the adjusted data are more accurate for use
in redistricting.”
It’s hard to predict without a lot of legal research, but Team Obama
may argue that its usurpation of the census-taking function makes it an
area of executive branch decision-making that is outside the purview of
court review. There may be other, more “creative” arguments in the
works. At a minimum, it would appear that the White House will attempt
to stretch the use of stat sampling into as many areas as it possibly
can.
There is an honest way to do this: Amend the Constitution to allow
it. That would force a debate on the appropriate uses of stat sampling;
but of course that’s way too much work for those who simply want to
grab power and see if anyone dares to do anything about it.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with stat sampling in certain
applications as long as those engaging in it use it validly and under
strict controls. But short of a constitutional amendment, any move
beyond “enumeration” for any purpose, despite what the courts said a
decade ago, looks obviously unconstitutional to me.
Which brings us to a variation of an old accounting joke — When
asked by his boss how much 2+2 is, the accountant replies with his own
question: “What do you want it to be?”
With the next Census, the question will be “How many people were
there in the US in 2010?” It appears that the answer will also be
another question, and a very long one, “Do you want the enumerated
count, or the apportionment count, or the welfare count, or the Food
Stamps count, or the …..?”
House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) is joining other
Republicans in blasting the White House for plucking control of the
Census Bureau away from Commerce Secretary-designate Judd Gregg and
vesting it, perhaps, with Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
Boehner, in a soon-to-be-released statement:
“I am disturbed by reports that control of the traditionally
nonpartisan Census Bureau is being stripped from the Commerce
Department and placed with the White House staff. This action appears
to be motivated by politics, rather than the interests of our country,
and the burden will be on the new administration to prove otherwise
during Senator Gregg’s confirmation hearings. The United States Census
should remain independent of politics; it should not be directed by
political operatives working out of the White House.”
A donation in the amount of $2 million has been made to the ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) Housing Corporation of Chicago, according to a document posted on Bank of America corporate philanthropy Web site – which shows the bank had given the total amount in grant money from October 2007 through June 2009.

A rising chorus of GOP leaders are protesting that the blockbuster Democratic
stimulus package would provide up to a whopping $5.2 billion for ACORN, the
left-leaning nonprofit group under federal investigation for massive voter
fraud.
Most of the money is secreted away under an item in the now $836 billion
package titled “Neighborhood Stabilization Programs."
The Democrats are rewarding ACORN for their fine Illegal work by throwing some cash their way in the Obama stimulus plan:
Looks like the infamous ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) that was caught up in voter fraud in 2008 will be in the running to get some funding (pages 72-73 of the report.) The bill provides for $10 million for the SHOP program. The funding will provide competively awarded grants to national and regional nonprofit housing organizations to develop or rehabilitate low-income housing.
There is plenty of more funding that will no doubt find its way to ACORN coffers like the $1 billion for Community Development Block Grants or the $4.1 billion for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Source Swine Line

In the September 19 posting I pointed out that sources who attended an election
training session this summer at Justice specifically were told that the Criminal
Section of the Civil Rights Division intended to prosecute anyone it considered
to be engaging in voter “intimidation” or “oppression.” I have seen the
materials from the conference that substantiate that claim. One of the deputy
chiefs, Mark Blumberg, told some attendees that anyone sending a mailer to
voters telling them that you must be a citizen to vote was engaging in voter
suppression and should be hauled before a grand jury.(anonymous)
It is looking to me like most , if not all of the Military Absentee votes were
NOT counted which Atlas warned of here. In Hawaii , the last state to have a count , they almost
certainly did not . Did this occurred nationwide?

I sent coffee to these units and in each and every box of coffee ( over 300 so
far!) there was info on all the Fed voting processes from deployed Armed

And note, that even of these , 0.0% were tallied
towards the Presidential contest
Why ?
Because the Election was
decided early, and concession give, based on the results of Electoral College
votes in DNC targeted states. Once that happened , ALL absentee vote were
rendered useless and not counted.
This included virtually ALL U.S. Armed
Forces votes . If not nationwide at least certainly here in Hawaii as these
returns show.
This is the constituency that was supposed to have a voice in
selecting their own future Commander & Chief that was disenfranchised
here .....
What the solution ? In the future and
by decree or law , the entire U.S. Armed Forces should be allowed to and
encouraged to VOTE EARLY ! Just as the ACORN goes out and gets countless
people to do across this country today . Their votes do count !
And the
votes of our Military do not? An Early Voting AND tabulation process for the
military could fix this grave injustice . (as well as their own Electoral

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - On American college campuses, where some two out of three students voted from Democrat Barack Obama, it wasn't so much "get out the vote" in this election but rather "text out the vote."

The US census estimates of current population
July 1,2007 estimate of people between the age of 18-24 years old
in the US is 29,492,415. Now lets double that to get roughly 60
million from 18-29 but it is probably a bit less than that.
Now 19% of the voters were 18-29 per the exit polls or roughly 20% of
about 114,000,000 votes combined ( or ball park 22 million voters in
that age group).
So we are to believe 1 in 3 in that age group voted much less registered?
I will have to pull the historic data but traditionally it is only a small fraction of that.
ACORN only claimed 1.3 million new voters and backed off to some much lower number.
When the new numbers finally come in,
almost 10 million or more under 30 types would have had to have registered for
this election for the first time.
I don't think the total for all age groups - new voters were claimed by the states total.
Something just doesn't add up.
Vote absentee at home and then vote and at your campus address. Then cross state line to same day registration and vote for a third.
Like those BHO workers who voted absentee in NY and at then used their campaign house in Ohioto register as well.
Vote in Chicago and cross over to NW Indiana just 20 miles away and vote via an Uncles address to double down.
Slim guy worked as a poll monitor again this year and caught one gal who was on her 4th vote of the day because she was using all the variations of her past married names since each kid had a different dad.
She was trying to pass off as a different identity in each precinct.
Slim happened to recognize her simply from seeing her vote at another precinct in the morning under one name and then the one he switched to in the afternoon set with another name.
She had a very distinct tee shirt that made me remember her.
Slim is waiting to see if she went to the next county and voted also. They are waiting on the reports.

Places like Madison County have over 123% more registered voters than people over the age of 18.

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Mississippi's voter situation is hard to believe. Places like Madison County have over 123% more registered voters than people over the age of 18.
Sue Sautermeister, First District Election Commissioner in Madison County, tried to purge the rolls, but ran into trouble when it was discovered it takes a vote of three of the five election commissioners and the purge cannot take place within 90 days of a federal election.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann is the first to admit the situation with voter registration in this state is terrible.
"It is terrible," he says. "Combined with the fact that we don't have voter ID in Mississippi, anybody can show up at any poll that happens to know the people who have left town or died -- and go vote for them."
"Whenever we have a third party determined by payment, for example, as they did in Benton County -- 'walking-around' money -- and they determine what that vote is going to be, they've taken your vote, whether they may have voted like you would have or not, they've still thwarted the process and they've still have taken your vote away from you," added Hosemann.m/p>
Sue Sautermeister is working hard in the First District of Madison County to start a purging of the voter rolls as soon after the election as possible. She has file drawers full of names of people who haven't voted in years and are known to be dead.
"We have people who registered in 1965 who have never voted," she says. "We have 486 people (registered who are) over 105."
Hosemann says 190,000 new voters have registered for this election and he believes the turnout will be historic.

This fraud matters. I live in WA state. In 2004 ACORN registered 40,000 new voters (a fraction of what they currently are doing). Of those 40K, they only caught 1,800 fraudulent ones. Federal authorities must immediately launch – and publicly announce – a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)[i] investigation into ACORN and its voter-registration operations, conducting simultaneous raids of ACORN’s front organizations in multiple states where voter fraud has been observed and documented. Involved could be hundreds of thousands, or more, falsified votes. It is critical that citizens call state and federal authorities to demand immediate action, especially the Department of Justice and your territorial State’s Attorney.[ii]
ACORN is the largest radical group in America, with 400,000 dues-paying member families and 1,200 chapters in over a hundred U.S. cities, operating in at least 38 states.[iii] But incredibly, all of ACORN's power is directed by a single family, the Rathkes.[iv]

TRENTON — Top election officials expressed confidence in New
Jersey's voting machines Tuesday, coming out strongly against a recent Princeton
University report finding some 10,000 voting machines in the state are
vulnerable to being hacked.
At a news conference to announce a record 5.3 million registered voters in
the state, Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells and Division of Elections
director Robert Giles said the voting machines in New Jersey are secure and they
had no expectations of any problems come Election Day.
The officials then attempted to cast doubt on a Princeton report released
last week saying Sequoia AVC Advantage machines used in 18 of the state's 21
counties are insecure and can be hacked into in eight minutes to manipulate vote
tallies.
The Jersey whores and looters said:
"Do not be concerned. There is no basis for it. Go to the polls with the
upmost confidence that your vote will be counted," Wells said, citing a
state-commissioned report that criticized the Princeton report for using
improper methodology and finding it had no scientific basis that another voting
system would be better than the current Sequoia machines.
New Jersey is currently battling in court with the Constitutional Litigation
Clinic at Rutgers University, which sued the state because of concerns over the
security of the voting machines. Penny Venetis, the clinic's co-director, said
it was "a shame and a dereliction of duty" that the state continues to claim the
machines are safe despite the Princeton report's finding.
"It is very, very problematic that the state ignores science. It is
unacceptable and should be unacceptable to the voters of the state," Venetis
said.
New Jersey has until Jan. 1 to retrofit the machines to provide a paper record
of vote tallies; it has already missed two earlier deadlines. When asked if the
state would meet the new deadline or push it back again, Wells said, "We are
moving toward that date at this point."
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — North Carolina's Republican
leaders lashed out at a county elections board that expanded the number of early
voting sites open Sunday to accommodate people attending a rally for Democratic
presidential nominee Barack Obama.
Terri Robertson, director of Cumberland County's elections, said she was
concerned that a crush of people Sunday afternoon would leave her staff working
all night to process voters. Elections officials are required to process anyone
who is in line by close of polls at 5 p.m.
These folks work once a year and they are crying about the workload. That's rich.
"We decided that the best thing to do for our staff was to open two more
sites so they weren't up all night processing voters," Robertson said. The full
elections board, including one [asshat] Republican member, voted unanimously on Friday to
open two additional voting sites Sunday, bringing the total to five.
The county does not plan to open voting sites on Sundays for the rest of the
early voting period, but will have polling places open the next two Saturdays as
well as week days, according to a schedule on the state elections Web site.
Linda Daves, chairwoman of the state GOP, said while the party supports extra
early voting capacity, the GOP opposes such a move when it is taken to
accommodate people surrounding Obama's campaign.
"Their action makes the voting process an extension of a partisan political
rally and that is clearly inappropriate," Daves said.
For those skeptics and "voter suppression leftards" that insisted the hundreds of thousands of fraudulently voter registrations ACORN and their ilked manufactured were irrelevant because those invisible folks could not show up to the polls .......... think again.

- Two weeks before Election Day, Democratic presidential nominee Barack
Obama is busily banking every early vote he can get in key states.

large numbers.

Obama is pushing
early voting on a grand scale, in speeches, e-mails, a Web site and
even ads placed inside video games. Eighteen video games, including the
extremely popular "Guitar Hero" and "Madden 09," will feature in-game
ads from the Obama campaign.
"We are trying to expand the electorate and expand the process," said Obama campaign manager David Plouffe.
I bet. Here's the set-up:
Obama could win the
absentee vote race in some competitive states, but Republicans are
hoping McCain will more than make up the difference on Election Day,
Beeson said.
The Republicans, with their extensive database of voter
information, have long had a formidable get-out-the-vote operation.
Nationwide, about a
third of the electorate is expected to vote early this year, thanks to
expanded early voting provisions and fewer restrictions on absentee
voting. That would be up from 22 percent in 2004 and 16 percent in 2000.
Sen. Barack
Obama’s campaign is complaining to the Justice Department about the attention
being focused on the determined effort by ACORN, Obama’s wholly owned vote-fraud
division, to steal the 2008 election. Adding ignorance to gall, the campaign
demands that what it calls a “Special Prosecutor” must investigate not ACORN but
— you guessed it — the McCain campaign and the Bush administration.

already knows this election is going to the supreme court. They are, and

Advocacy groups and shelters across the country have stepped up
efforts to register the 3.5 million people who drift in and out of
homelessness in the United
States.
Meet Jennifer Brunner, Ohio's real life Secretary of State, whose
actions in the lead up to this election have been so shamefully
partisan -- violating both federal and state law in the process --
that it is doubtful any result on Election Day from Ohio is going to
be accepted as credible.
Coupled with the outrageously illegal registration activity of ACORN
and the shockingly illegal actions of the Obama campaign itself and
what you have is an effort to not only "count every vote" but also
steal as many votes as will be necessary for Obama to win the state on
Election Day.
Strong stuff. But here's former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell
and Ken Klukowski writing in the New York Post:
A perfect example is Ohio. Last Monday the Ohio Supreme Court, in a
4-3 decision, interpreted Ohio law to allow for people to register to
vote and cast an absentee ballot on the same day.
(As the three dissenters noted, this directly contradicts Ohio's
Constitution, which requires that a person register to vote 30 days in
advance of actually casting that vote. But the Ohio Supreme Court is
the last word on Ohio state law.)
So now the Obama campaign is using buses to take tens of thousands of
people to go register and cast same-day votes. Some media reports say
that the Obama camp hopes to get hundreds of thousands of votes this
way.
Secretary Brunner, incredibly, got around the provision that one had
to be registered 30 days before being able to vote with the following
bit of Orwellian doublespeak.
There is no way, no way, we can have a fair election with legitimate results. No way. The taxpayer is funding this stealth coup against our election system. ACORN is the most egregious but they are hardly singular. We must STOP, verify every voter, confirm their legitimacy. This is CHAOS and it is happening, strangely enough, in every battleground state.

A retired
Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice says that she is "not confident we can get a
fair election" in the state come November.
Justice Sandra Newman,
accompanied by Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico and Pennsylvania
Republican State Chairman Robert Gleason, expressed her concerns at a Harrisburgpress
conference this morning. A thick document replete with photo copies of phony
registrations and aerial shots of vacant lots used as "addresses" for "voters"
was handed out to journalists.
Gleason was even more
explicit. "Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including
ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election
Board" with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information. "Most of these
registrations were submitted by ACORN, and rejected due to fake social security
numbers, incorrect dates of birth, clearly fraudulent signatures, addresses that
do not exist, and duplicate registrations. In one case, a man was registered to
vote more than 15 times since the Primary election."
"Voter fraud is no
longer just a Philadelphia problem," Gleason said, with ACORN
targeting key counties across the state. Counties specifically cited included:
Barack Hussein Obama states at a
December 2007 community organizer forum that he will invite ACORN to “shape the
agenda” during transition period and he will allow them to be actively involved
during the first 100 days of his administration.
Got
that?
The people who helped facilitate
the mortgage mess and the people who have been engaging in voter fraud for years
will play a direct role in an Obama Administration.
Just how in bed is Obama with the deeply corrupt and seditious ACORN? So deep he has taken to repeatedly bold faced lying about just how involved he is with them.
Barack Obama
endorsed Acorn State Chair Ted Thomas in his bid for the 15th ward alderman race
in 1999. Obama’s friend Madeline Talbott described it best when she wrote in
November 2000 that with Thomas’s victory “we (acorn) had elected one of our
own.” Perhaps Senator Obama should explain what led him to endorse the Acorn
candidate.
Another case of gross voter fraud: Indiana has received 5,000 voter registration cards from ACORN and all cards were fraudulent. This is added to the charges being made in Las Vegas, Missouri, and Ohio.
The Cleveland Leaderreports this morning that Barack Obama is lying about his involvement with the group ACORN, which recently added Missouri
to the list of states in which its activities are under investigation.
While Obama's site maintains that he never trained ACORN activists --
whose training apparently encourages them to play fast and loose with
election laws -- Chicago ACORN leader Toni Foulkes has thanked Obama
for doing precisely that:
Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training
sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many
of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for
office. Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in
his first campaign for STate Senate and then his failed bid for U.S.
Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old
friends."
The Los Angeles Times has reported the same. Given all the improprieties with which ACORN has been associated in the past, as well as the accusations against it this year, it's easy to see why Obama hopes the media will ignore this issue.
The push to register voters for this
year's presidential election is breaking records.
"This is really
disquieting. It's concerning. It's worrisome," said Seibert.
He heads up
the non-partisan news group on the web.
Texas Watchdog compared Harris
County's voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and
found more than 4,000 matches -- registered voters that, it appears, are
already dead.
Some of them, like Henderson Hill's late wife Linda, voted
postmortem.
"I would like to know who did it, myself," Hill told Davis.
Intrepid bloggers at Sweetness & Light, Gateway Pundit and Riehl World View have documented the lies that the Obama
campaign is publishing on its "Fight the Smears" website. Confident that the
media will not report the facts, the campaign does not hestitate to deny
docuemnted facts.
The underlined portion reads,
"Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other
capacity."
Community organizing at its best. Obama's first job, where he learned his trade, was as a "communitay organizer" for .............. ACORN!. This is the organization the Democrats wanted to give 200 million dollars to in the Dodd/Franks/Obambi bailout.
ACORN's Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud.
Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las
Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered
to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.
Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state's office, told
FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about "erroneous"
registration information being submitted by the Association of Community
Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.
The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known
as Project Vote.
"Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and
some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications," Walsh said,
describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark
County, Nev.
Secretary of State Ross Miller said the fraudulent registrations included
forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team.

Colorado Democracy Alliance outlines a roster of "operatives" who worked for
Democratic victory in the 2006 general election. The document outlines specific

Host Committee Tuesday, national Democracy Alliance founder Rob
Stein explains the need for large, secretive donor networks. "We do not
have the infrastructure that the right has built, yet," he said. "But there has
never in the history of progressivedom (sic) been a clearer, more strategic,
more focused, more disciplined, better financed group of institutions operating
at the state and national level."
In the same podcast, Laurie Hirschfeld Zeller, the newly
installed executive director of CoDA, explains her organization's mission. "Our
job is to build a long-term progressive infrastructure in Colorado while we're
conceding nothing in the short term in terms of progressive goals at the ballot
box."
Zeller had high praise for the state's liberal establishment, specifically
naming America Votes, New Era Colorado, Progressive Majority, the Latina
Initiative, and ProgressNow as partners in CoDA's coalition building efforts.
"CoDA works with all these organizations," she said.
The Bell Policy Center, a liberal think tank involved with CoDA, was praised
for its work fighting to dismantle Colorado's Taxpayer's Bill of Rights. She
characterized Colorado's constitutional requirement for voter approval of tax
increases as "arcane."

La Raza is a member of MEChA is an Hispanic separatist
organization that encourages anti-American activities and civil
disobedience whose members romanticize Mexican claims to the "lost
Territories" of the Southwestern United States -- a Chicano country
called Aztlan. In its national constitution, MEChA calls for

Work the polls on election day! You've got to go to your campaign headquarters now and register to get certified. You cannot wait until the week of the election.

reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them
from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and
moderate-income families."
If ACORN is systematically committing voter
fraud across the country, there would seem to be a number of federal crimes
involved, to include racketeering.

Honest elections absolutely depend on preventing the stuffing of the ballot box
by people who are not eligible to vote.
Among those who are not eligible to vote are those who are dead, who are not
residents of the precincts where they vote, who are registered to vote in
another state, who are underage and especially those who are not citizens. Votes
cast by any of those can cancel out your vote and, in close elections, decide
the winner.
Fund describes how easy it is for unscrupulous politicians to buy voter
impersonators with a little cash and get them to cast illegal votes. The Seventh
Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals explained "the extreme difficulty of apprehending
a voter impersonator. He enters the polling place, gives a name that is not his
own, votes and leaves. If later it is discovered that the name he gave is that
of a dead person, no one at the polling place will remember the face of the
person who gave that name."

appears to be widespread.”
1,000 fake voter registration cards have been turned in in New
Mexico and 6,000 cards remain to be examined. At least one -- the one which
triggered the investigation -- was turned in by ACORN. It's not known how many
more of these were though in a 2005 New Mexico election ACORN was found to
have submitted phony voter registration cards.
States are nuts to allow this to
continue:It costs a fortune to root it out; and it's likely it cannot all be
found out in time. And you, the taxpayers, have to bear the costs of the
investigation and you, the voters, bear it as well because your lawful votes are
stolen and diminished by fraudulent ones.
I will ask this question for the hundredth time, why isn't ACORN stripped of its eligibility and every ACORN voter registration null and void

In the past I have been a Republican poll worker in the St. Louis area. I have stood in front of and handed out brochures to incoming voters at polling places. I have noticed what appeared to be some people who came back at least two or three times to vote at the same place.

In light of the reports of voter fraud being committed in Michigan by the
Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a reader sends
along this story from a few weeks ago reporting that dozens of ACORN
workers are similarly under investigation for voter fraud in Milwaukee:
• Seventeen apparently filled out voter applications and then signed the
cards themselves. That involved two to four cards in each case.
• Twelve submitted cards for individuals who later told ACORN they never
filled out an application. That involved one card in each case.
• One submitted a card for a dead voter. That was the second such case; a
Voters Project worker previously submitted a card for a deceased voter.
• One was apparently making up driver’s license numbers for an unknown number
of voters.
• One submitted about a half-dozen applications for already-registered
voters.
In 2004, ACORN-related voter fraud plagued
Milwaukee County. Bush lost Wisconsin that year by 11,000 votes.
Election officials, election watch groups, and Republicans: GUARD voter
registration, absentee ballot voting, and ALL other voting practices in
battleground states. If ACORN is there, watch them.

This comes as no surprise to anyone following ACORN’s trail of voter
fraud.

The Dems ace in the hole in November is electronic voting machines (particularly those with no paper trail). Hacking DRE ( Direct-recording Electronic) without
VVPAT (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail Printers) should be as easy shooting fish in a barrel. One can almost imagine all those pimply faced losers working feverishly in their mother's basements. Eureka!
Lots of opportunity for leftist manipulation. Most of the electronic
voting is in Blue or weak GOP states. The donkey has no ethics, no
morality. Electronic voting machines are very easy to hack and without
a paper trail it's like vote tabulation in ................... Venezuela or Iran.

A study
is cited (p. 78) in which only 3% of the voters actually review the
paper trail. Of course these were no real voters put 36 paid subjects
which were in just for the money. They were only interested in getting
the money in the shortest time. It's probably safe to assume that
anybody who goes to the election office on polling day cares for his
vote, otherwise he would stay home. The Machinery of Democracy also mentions this, but only after one page of calculations which is not appropriate for scientific work.
The chapter "DRE w/VVPT Attack Number 1A" (p. 74) explains
over several pages the triggering of a Trojan Horse using ballot
definition files. This method is not specific on DRE w/VVPAT and rather
belongs chapter "Software Attacks on Voting Machines".
The chapter "Software Attacks on Voting Machines" includes
attacks on DRE w/VVPT, still the conclusion (p. 47) doesn't mention
that these attacks are harder to carry out than on DREs without VVPAT.
Also in the chapter "Summary of Findings and Recommendations" (p. 4) the study says:
For DREs without voter-verified paper trails: DREs without voter-verified paper trails do not have available to them a powerful countermeasure to software attacks: post-election Automatic Routine Audits that compare paper records to electronic records.
In short: "DREs without VVPAT do not have a VVPAT and so no audit of
the VVPAT is possible". There is a lot more to say on the security of
DREs, it is all in the study but did not find its way into the summary,
for example:
The Trojan Horse and other corrupt software attacks are
extremely dangerous because they require very few (if any)
co-conspirators and can affect enough votes to change the outcome of a
statewide race. (p. 60)
The Basic Set of Countermeasures currently used in many
jurisdictions is not likely to catch a clever Trojan Horse or other
Software Attack Program. (p. 60)
Red/Blue map here - Compare this map to the map above - New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland , Louisiana, hard care Democrat states with DRE ( Direct-recording Electronic) without
VVPAT (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail Printers)and then there are the mixed states (paper ballot and electronic).
I worry about DRE without VVPT states like Georgia and South Carolina. . Mixed ballot states like Florida and Texas are key.

Voter Registration alive and well in Denver! Several
PUMA members were out and about in Denver trying to savor some of the ambiance
when they were approached by a group of young people registering voters in
Denver. They tried to register this group to vote — all of them are registered
voters in other states. The young people never asked where they
lived, only if they wanted to register to vote.
These PUMAs caught up with me in between gigs….excited and confused, they
needed to tell me the story of voter registration in Denver. These ladies
poliely declined to re-register but asked a question of these young people. They
asked, where are these voter registration forms going….. the answer:
MoveOn.org!
They have endorsed Obama and promised to mobilize their members on Obama’s
behalf.
Why are voter registration forms being sent to MoveOn.org?
ACORN has been caught red handed registering dead people many, many times so why are they still allowed to do this? Why is anyone allowed to do this? Why the need for corrupt organizations to "register voters"?
If it were done properly, as it should be, every voter would register to vote on their own. Voting is a privilege. If you won't get off yer fat keyster to register, you don't deserve the honor of voting of a free republic. Remember those women in Afghanistan crossing over mountains and valleys just to
vote? And Iraq? Think about it.
Organizations such as ACORN seem to exist to hijack the system. As early as Novemer 2006, I ran it post,"I SEE DEAD PEOPLE... voting on election day" - appararently a federal grand jury in Kansas City
indicted four persons working for the group Association of Community
Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), accusing them of submitting more than 40,000 voter registration forms with fictitious names, phony signatures
and bogus addresses.
Is this the kind of "change" Obambi" is shilling for? Tell me what he brings that is not evil and marxist?
Like I said, why is this group still allowed to register voters?

Read the following comment on another PUMA blog and bear in mind that BTW, Obama has paid SEIU over a quarter of a million dollars in "canvasing
expenses" and they have dumped big bucks in support of Obama but
through independent campaigning for Obama--as in over $125,000 [corrected] in the last FEC filing.
The Obama campaign is not worried by the polls.
I wouldn’t either if I were them. Dead and nonexistent people can’t be polled, but they do vote.
Soros in Control of National Voter Mobilization Efforts

–George Soros is the prime mover behind America Votes, an umbrella organization of 48 entities involved in various voter-registration and mobilization drives in 14 states. America Votes received $2.15 million from George Soros and $854,000 from co-conspirator Peter Lewis (total over $3 million) in 2006, and $1.25 million (from Soros), along with $1.25 million from the SEIU and $1 million from (Democracy Alliance) Fund for America, in 2007. The Center for Responsive Politics says that, in 2006, they were the second best-financed election committee behind SEIU. In total, America Votes spent over $7 million in 2007, and has already spent $10 million this year. Reading their website, however, it is very unclear as to exactly what they do with all that money.
The board of America Votes (not to be confused with ACORN’s “Project Vote”) is loaded with Soros-connected operatives, including: SEIU director Anna Burger; Paul Booth operative Larry Scanlon; Howard Dean/MoveOn operative Arshad Hason; Center for Community Change director and Open Society advisor Deepak Bhargava; ACORN President Maude Hurd; and former senior advisor to Nancy Pelosi, Shamina Singh. Martin Frost, a former long-term Democratic Congressman from Dallas, is the titular President of the operation.
This money-stuffed Soros-ruled apparatus is perched in an advisory and intelligence-gathering role with various Democrat-affliliated entities. With ACORN’s “Project Vote,” it is to take the place of the moribund regular Democratic Party apparatus.
In May, much was made of Barack Obama’s public call to stop funding “outside organizations,” which he made following a meeting with his finance committee in Indianapolis. The coverage played this as a loss for David Brock’s Progressive Media USA and John Podesta’s Fund for America. Reading the fine print, however, this call indicated a Soros-led shift away from the public media, and toward more covert “voter registration” effort, all the time under his control. “We’re continuing with our fundraising and things have been going well for us,” Frost told an interviewer at that time.
A national organization that conducts voter registration drives for low-income
people has curtailed its push in Cuyahoga County after the Board of Elections
accused its workers of submitting fraudulent registration cards.
Board employees said ACORN workers often handed in the same name on a number
of voter registration cards, but showing that person living at different
addresses. Other times, cards had the same name listed, but a different date of
birth. Still another sign of possible fraud showed a number of people living at
an address that turned out to be a restaurant.
“I’m obviously very concerned,” Board Chairman Jeff Hastings said. “This goes
to the essence of our democracy.”
ACORN had a part-time staff of 30 who worked five days a week to find
unregistered people. The workers made $8 an hour and were required to sign up 20
voters in each five-hour shift.
The elections board’s registration department said in a report that ACORN’s
quota contributed to the possible fraud.
ACORN stopped the registration efforts of the part-timers on Aug. 15. Three
salaried employees continue the drive to sign up voters.
Kristopher Harsh, head organizer for the agency’s Cleveland office, said it
is unlikely a full-fledged movement will resume before the Nov. 4 election.
ACORN has submitted about 75,000 voter registration cards to the Cuyahoga
board this year.
Board employees are unsure how many of the cards are fraudulent. But the
voter registration department received so many suspicious cards that it began
compiling a binder with evidence. The binder grew to be an inch-thick.

Some of Hillary Clinton's most fervent supporters are
taking their enthusiasm and their campaign contributions -- to John McCain.
More than 85 of Clinton's fundraisers, including
Donald Trump, Univision chief executive Joseph Uva, cable mogul Charles Dolan,
philanthropist Norma Hess and one of Florida's biggest lobbyists appear to be
skipping Barack Obama when it comes to writing checks for the general election,
according to an ABCNews.com review of campaign finance records.
These Clinton donors have contributed at least
$200,000 to McCain's campaign in the last few months, an amount which doesn't
include larger contributions to the Republican joint fundraising committees.

How low can you go? If you're a Democrat, there's no bottom. Denying America's finest young people who are fighting for our very way of life their vote is obscene.
Rep. Roy Blunt, the House Republican whip, on July 8 introduced a resolution demanding that the Defense Department do a better job of enabling the U.S. military personnel overseas to vote in the November elections. That act was followed by silence. Democrats normally leap on an opportunity to find fault with the Bush Pentagon. But not a single Democrat joined Blunt as a co-sponsor, and an all-Republican proposal cannot pass in the Democratic-controlled House.
Analysis by the federal Election Assistance Commission, rejecting inflated Defense Department voting claims, estimated overseas and absentee military voting for the 2006 midterm elections at a disgracefully low 5.5 percent. The quality of voting statistics is so poor that there is no way to tell how many of the slightly over 330,000 votes actually were sent in by the absentee military voters and their dependents and how many by civilian Americans living abroad -- 6 million in total.
Nobody who has studied the question objectively sees any improvement since 2006, and that is a scandal. Retired U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Charles Henry wrote in the July issue of the U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings: “While virtually everyone involved … seems to agree that military people deserve at least equal opportunity when it comes to having their votes counted, indications are that in November 2008, many thousands of service members who try to vote will do so in vain.”
At least!
Henry, now an independent broadcast journalist, has personal experience with this enduring scandal. While serving as a Marine at sea off Iran, he received his 1980 presidential ballot too late to count. President Harry Truman said of troops fighting in Korea, “The least we at home can do is to make sure that they are able to enjoy the rights they are being asked to fight to preserve.” But the U.S. military that has so perfected the art of war over the past half-century is at a loss to enable soldiers to vote.

candidates are looking to pay workers on election day, then they come to
Clarence. A big election like this primary typically runs for about $110 per
person. With 500 people working for Clarence this election, our math says
$55,000 deployed in the 43rd.

During the past two years, while my nomination to the Federal Election
Commission was pending – and before I withdrew last week – friends would call
whenever the latest newspaper story or blog post attacking me was planted by
political operatives and left-wing advocacy organizations.
They always asked the same question: Why was I putting up with the character
assassination that has become the norm in Senate confirmation battles whenever a
conservative is nominated for public office?
In 17 years of practicing law I'd never been accused of ethical or
professional lapses. Since my arrival in Washington, however, I've been called
corrupt and unethical, and labeled as everything from a Klansman to a Nazi (my
last name seems to generate that latter pejorative) for my work at the
Department of Justice.
All of these charges were levied because I dared to take a different view of
the law than the political left in the area of civil rights, voting and election
law. Those outside Washington cannot conceive how far advocacy organizations,
party activists and congressional staffers are willing to go to personally
destroy anyone who doesn't agree with their political agenda.

The Bush administration filed more voting-rights lawsuits in its first five
years than the Clinton administration filed in its last five years. And we did
so without having over $4 million in attorneys' fees levied against us for
filing frivolous discrimination claims, as occurred during that
administration.
I do plead guilty to this: bringing to the attention of superiors at the
Justice Department the legal manipulations of ideologues in the Civil Rights
Division who passed themselves off as professional civil servants while carrying
water for their friends and allies in left-wing organizations like the ACLU. Had
I kept silent, I would likely be in a far different position than I am today.
But I did not, and those I butted heads with have their revenge.
My own hard feelings will pass. But the political system has been damaged
once more by the poisonous tactics of the left, and there is no reason to think
that the whole sorry spectacle will not be repeated again and again and again.
So long as such tactics are accepted and even encouraged by politicians and the
media, it will become harder and harder to find ordinary citizens willing to
submit to the character assassination that now passes for our confirmation
process.
When it comes to civil rights and voter ID the left's first response is to
demonize, and when that does not succeed they ratchet up the demonization. They
are so emotional attached to these issues that they do not see room for reasoned
argument. I expect the civil rights division will get worse if Obama is elected.
