SUDANESE President Omar al-Bashir danced, punched the air in delight and shouted "God is great" in his first public appearance yesterday as a war crimes suspect.

Sudan promised to turn Darfur into a graveyard as it reacted to charges laid by an international prosecutor accusing Mr al-Bashir of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.

Turn Darfur into a graveyard? Yeah, that'll show that no genocide is going on, all right.

The threat was made by an official in Darfur after Luis Moreno-Ocampo, of the International Criminal Court, called for the arrest of Mr al-Bashir over his Government's campaign of violence in the war-torn region....

Mr al-Bashir appeared to have hardly a care in the world at a ceremony to mark Sudan's new electoral law....

Sitting on a high podium in the Chinese-built Friendship Hall in Khartoum before more than 500 supporters and Sudan's leaders, Mr al-Bashir was given roars of support as he stood to sign the legislation....

Many in the audience, which also included high-ranking army officials, Muslim and Christian leaders, and foreign diplomats, stood to dance in a brief music break.

"My faith is in my homeland, what makes me stand proud and say 'I am Sudanese, I am African'," sang pop singer Jamal Mustafa. "This is the land of good people, a country full of untapped resources."

Dozens of the audience then rushed forward to try to shake the President's hand, as Mr al-Bashir clicked his fingers to the beat and waved to the crowd.

Mr al-Bashir made no speech but shouted "God is great" as he left the stage....

Al-Bashir, who came to power in an Islamist and military coup in 1989, has imposed the Muslim Sharia law on northern Sudan, were large protests were held against the Danish cartoons. Sudan is now setting up a committee to protect Prophet Muhammad from the "insults" and the "campaign led by some countries," SUNA reported.How about protecting humanity from Islam?

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir is threatening to expel Danish organisations, snub its officials and boycott the country's products in reaction to cartoons republished in Denmark criticising Islam's Prophet Muhammad, the presidential palace and state news agency said Sunday.

David Horowitz Freedom Center Announces Declaration Against Genocide

The David Horowitz Freedom Center announced that it will distribute a Declaration Against Genocide and ask individuals and groups, particularly those on American college campuses, to sign it.  The Declaration notes that the Sudanese and other Africans have been victims of a slow motion genocide, and that Islamo fascists in the Middle East are preparing a new genocide against the Jews and can be found here.

In describing the objectives of this new initiative, David Horowitz, President of the Freedom Center, said: “We are asking all campus groups to repudiate the genocidal passage in the Islamic Hadith which reads: “The prophet, prayer and peace be upon him, said: ‘The time [of judgment] will not come until Muslims will fight the Jews and kill them; until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!’”

Horowitz continued: “We are also asking all campus groups, including the Muslim Students Association, to condemn the Hamas Charter which says: `Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.’ Signers of the Declaration will also be asked to repudiate the Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has said `The accomplishment of a world without America and Israel is both possible and feasible.’  And Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah, who called the Jews `a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment,’ and has said, “If  the Jews `all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.’  These are hateful doctrines that threaten the lives not only of Jews, but of  all Americans.”

In addition to condemning the genocidal agenda of these leaders and organizations, the Declaration calls on campus groups to affirm “the freedom of the individual conscience and the right to change religions or have no religion at all; the equal dignity of men and women; and the right of all people to live free from violence, intimidation and coercion.”

“Although a Declaration Against Genocide should be seen as a document with universal appeal,” Horowitz notes, “a coalition of groups with ties to the Islamo-fascist jihad are bound to protest this effort.  Our goal is to test universities’ claims that they support religious and ethnic tolerance, and to challenge the campus left, which consistently overlooks statements by Islamic radicals which are nothing less than an invitation to mass murder.”

Al-Qaida claims Mauritania attack J Post hat tip wolf

An al-Qaida affiliate purportedly claimed responsibility for a shooting attack on the Israeli Embassy in Mauritania's capital, saying it had carried out the assault in response to Israeli policies in the Gaza Strip, an Arab television station reported Saturday.

"I call on every sincere and zealous Mauritanian... to hurry to aid Islam in their land and to expel from it the embassy of the trespasser Jews," Ayman al-Zawahiri said on the videotape released on February 13, 2007.

The statement by Zawahiri was one of the first times that Mauritania had been the focus of a public address by a core al-Qaida leader, indicating a possible increase in interest in the sparsely populated, dune-enveloped nation.

(IsraelNN.com) Several people were wounded in an Islamist terrorist attack on the Israeli embassy the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Friday morning, according to eyewitness reports.

Six gunmen yelled "Allah Hu Akbar" ("G-d is Great" in Arabic) before firing their weapons at the embassy compound in the nation's capital, Nouakchott just after 2:00 a.m. One unidentified eyewitness said five people were wounded, including one foreign national, according to Ynet.

The terrorists fled on foot and then jumped into a getaway car after exchanging fire with the embassy's guards. There has been no official comment from the Mauritanian government so far.

Hundreds of Sudanese demonstrate in front of UN building J Post

Several hundred Sudanese demonstrated Tuesday in front of a UN building here to show their solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and demand the United Nations intervene.

The protesters, many of whom were students, shouted slogans including "No for the killing of Palestinians. No for the killing of civilians." They also handed over a letter to the UN office that was addressed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, calling on him to try to end the Israeli blockade.

Student demonstrators affiliated with the Khartoum State Students Union, which is controlled by pro-Islamist groups, dressed in their school uniforms and shouted "Down, down USA" and "Allahu akbar," which means "God is great" in Arabic.

"We have taken part in this demonstration to express our discontent with the way the world community is standing by while Palestinian civilians are being massacred, humiliated and killed by the Zionists" Fatahi Khalil, who heads the pro-government Organization for the Support of the People, told The Associated Press.

The Associated (with Islamic terrorists) Press eats this Jew hating propaganda up.

Riot police guarded the UN compound, and demonstrators were kept at bay during the hour-long protest. After Khalil and student representatives handed the letter to the office, the demonstrators dispersed peacefully.

Sudan's foreign ministry however insisted the attack was "an isolated incident which has no political connotations."  The interior ministry said the diplomatic car had been caught in a fight which broke out as some Sudanese nationals were on the street celebrating the New Year.

"The soldiers of Tawhid carried out an operation of killing the American diplomat and his Sudanese driver who sold his religion for few benefits of life, in the section of Al-Riyadh in eastern Khartoum," read the translation provided by SITE. (More here)

Islam Murders US Diplomat to Sudan in Cold Blood

US Diplomat John Granville murdered, he brought short wave radios to women in Sudan.
The murder of a US diplomat in a rational world governed by reasonable men would illicit the harshest retribution. Not so, we wouldn't want to insult Islam now, would we? It's open season on US diplomats.

In the first terror attack of 2008...........US diplomat dies in Sudan attack in Khartoum.  The driver, identified as 40-year-old Abdel Rahman Abbas, was killed instantly, it said in a statement. The interior ministry identified the American as 33 year-old John Michael Granfield.

Bill Warner sent me this story and notes that 17 shots were fired at US Diplomat John Granville (his photo) . "This is a hit not a random killing of US Diplomat in Sudan.  The shooters (al-Qaeda) were waiting in front of US Diplomat John Granville's house.  This attack is right out of the al-Qaeda playbook, same type hit on US Diplomat Lawrence Foley in Amman Jordan which was an al-Qaeda operation."

According to Western officials, Mr. Granville left a New Year’s Eve party at the British Embassy around 2:30 a.m.  (1/01/08) and headed to his home in an upscale neighborhood in central Khartoum. Shortly before he arrived, a car pulled up next to him and 17 shots were fired, Sudanese officials said. Mr. Granville’s driver, a Sudanese employee of the American Embassy, was killed instantly, and he was shot in the neck and chest. He was rushed to the hospital and died several hours later.

A Sudanese government official said the attack appeared well-planned and involved two gunmen who exited their car together, with one of them shooting Mr. Granville and the other shooting the driver. Walter Braunohler, a spokesman for the American Embassy in Khartoum, said he could not comment on the circumstances because the shooting was under investigation.

Several western officials in the country said the attack that killed him and his driver was reminiscent of the killing of Laurence Foley, an American aid official who was shot outside his home in Amman, Jordan, in 2002. Two years later, a military court in Jordan sentenced to death eight Islamic militants linked to Al Qaeda — six of them in absentia — for his assassination.

After initially citing robbery, as the motive for Monday's attack outside Aleg, 250km southeast of the capital Nouakchott, investigators said they were hunting three killers, two of whom were suspected members of Islamic militant groups. They viewed the attack as potentially a high-profile strike by Islamist extremists aimed at Europeans at Christmas, and carried out 12 days before the January start of the Lisbon-Dakar rally that will cross Mauritania. Three turbanned gunmen fired on the picnicking French with automatic weapons at a roadside halt on Monday, killing four of them outright and wounding a fifth...Mauritania's prosecution service said in a statement two of the men being sought were "young Mauritanians suspected of belonging to extremist Salafist groups". This reference pointed to an Algeria-based Islamic militant group formerly known as the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), which is accused of attacks in North Africa. [read more]

The Arabs are killing the Sudanese fleeing to Israel to escape the unrelenting rape and murder by the Islamic Jihad government in Khartoum. Egyptian Soldiers Kill Four Sudanese Refugees at Israeli Border
Egyptian soldiers shot and beat to death four Sudanese refugees who were trying to illegally cross the border into Israel, Israel's Channel 10 television reported Thursday. A soldier from an Israeli military unit near the border said the Egyptian border police fired many rounds of bullets at the refugees, killing two and injuring one. The fourth refugee tried to climb the border fence. The Israeli soldiers, in what they described as a "tug-of-war," said they tried to pull him over to their side, but the Egyptians overpowered them and captured him.
    The shocked and audibly shaken soldier said he and others from his unit heard screams of agony as they helplessly watched the Egyptian soldiers then beat the two refugees to death, calling the incident a "lynch." Human rights groups say more than 1,000 Sudanese refugees have entered Israel through the porous border with Egypt this year, including at least 250 from the war-torn Darfur region. In late July, reports said an Egyptian military unit shot and killed a female Sudanese refugee as she and others tried to cross the border into Israel. (Deutsche Presse-Agentur)

Sudanese defense minister says '24 Jewish organizations fueling conflict in Darfur' Yaakov Lappin

Exposing mass murder is "fueling the conflict." What conflict? The Islamic government in Khartoum are slaughtering Christians, moderate Muslims. Genocide is not a conflict. It's mass murder.

Sudan's defense minister, Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein, has accused "24 Jewish organizations" of "fueling the conflict in Darfur" last week in an interview with a Saudi newspaper.

Hussein was interviewed during an official state visit to the Saudi kingdom last week.

 

A journalist from Saudi Arabia's Okaz newspaper asked Hussein: "Some people are talking about the penetration of Jewish organizations in Darfur and that there is no conflict there?"

huh?

"The Darfur issue is being fueled by 24 Jewish organizations, who are making the largest amount of noise over the issue, and using the Holocaust in their campaigning," the Sudanese defense minister replied.

Those damn Jews. Let us commit genocide and murder without interference!

Hussein added that the Darfur conflict was driven by "friction between farmers and herders and shepherds. Among the biggest problems is that of water, which is used to exploit the differences and fuel the conflict."

"Are these Jewish groups supporting (the rebels) financially?," the interviewer from Okaz asked Hussein.

"Yes, they provide political and material support through their control over the media and across American and British circles," Hussein said, adding that Jewish groups were using "all means to fuel these conflicts."

He added that Western reports of 200,000 people dying in Sudan were false, and said: "We talk about 9,000 dead as a result of either government or rebel actions."

'We came to Israel to look for a better place'

Several days ago, Sudan's Interior Minister, Zubair Bashir Taha, lashed out at Sudanese refuees who had sought asylum in Israel, and accused "Isaeli authorities of encouraging the Sudanese refugees to come to their country."

He added that his ministry was "very confused" by Sudanese citizens who came to Israel."

Yes, of course, they are confused. They want to live. The nerve.

In the case of the complicity of the Arabs outside Sudan -- who have cleverly disguised their support for that regime, their efforts to hinder and delay (very successfully) actions that might have been taken by the U.N. against Sudan during its twenty-year campaign of mass-murder in the southern Sudan, or its several-year-long campaign in Darfur -- the explanation is simple: Islam is a vehicle for Arab supremacism. Islam is the national religion of the Arabs, evolving initially out of pagan Arab lore, and a mishmash of appropriated, and much distorted, figures and stories taken from Judaism and Christianity. The final result was a "faith" that could be used to both justify and promote the conquest, by comparatively primitive Arabs, of much larger numbers of non-Arabs, chiefly Christians and Jews and Zoroastrians. A non-Arab Muslim, until recently and still ideally, reads the Qur'an only in Arabic. Non-Arab Muslim children memorize as much of it as possible -- in Arabic. Non-Arab Muslims take as their model a group of seventh-century Arabs and above all, Muhammad, the Perfect Man, al-insan al-kamil. The Sunna itself consists essentially of the ways, the customs and manners, of seventh-century Arabs. Muslims turn Meccatropically five times a day for the canonical prayers; they perform hajj to Mecca; Arabia is the center of their being. It is as if all those who were part of the British Empire, five times a day, turned and prostrated themselves toward London. It is as if every Indian, every black African in a British colony, took an English name, and took some Englishman (possibly someone a bit more modern than a woad-painted Pict from 700 A.D.) as a putative ancestor.
Islam is the source of, the promoter and vehicle of, this Arab supremacism. Arab supremacism can be of the linguistic and cultural kind, that attempts to ban the Berber language, or to convince Maronites and Copts, not always unsuccessfully, that because they are "users of Arabic" that makes them "Arabs." Or it can be of the murdering kind that simply wishes to eliminate non-Arabs if they happen to possess something -- oil, as in the Kurdish lands and in the southern Sudan, and possibly now water: that vast underground lake discovered by American researchers. Those researchers naively have said that if the waters were to be used for irrigation, this "might solve" the Darfur crisis. Yet if anything, it will only make Darfur that much more desirable to the Arabs, and their insensate desire to remove all the black Africans -- through murder -- that much greater.

An internal UN report, obtained by The Independent, shows that up to 30,000 Arabs have crossed the border in the past two months. Most arrived with all their belongings and large flocks. They were greeted by Sudanese Arabs who took them to empty villages cleared by government and janjaweed forces.

One UN official said the process "appeared to have been well planned". The official continued: "This movement is very large. We have not seen such numbers come into west Darfur before."

The UN refugee agency, UNHCR, sent a team to the border with Chad at the end of May to interview the new arrivals. Fighting in eastern Chad has been steadily increasing and it was thought that many could be refugees. But only a very small number have required support from UNHCR.

"Most have been relocated by Sudanese Arabs to former villages of IDPs (internally displaced people) and more or less invited to stay there," said the UN official.

The arrivals have been issued with official Sudanese identity cards and awarded citizenship, and analysts say that by encouraging Arabs from Chad, Niger and other parts of Sudan to move to Darfur the Sudanese government is making it "virtually impossible" for displaced people to return home.

TWO Sudanese women were sentenced to death by stoning for adultery after a trial in which they had no lawyer and which used Arabic, not their first language, the rights group Amnesty International said.

Sadia Idriss Fadul was sentenced on February 13 and Amouna Abdallah Daldoum on March 6 and their sentences could be carried out at any time, the London-based group said.

North Sudan implements Islamic sharia law.

“The women had no lawyer during their trial and were not able to defend themselves, as their first languages are those of their ethnic groups,” Amnesty said.

Both women are from non-Arab tribes but the proceedings were in Arabic and no interpreter was provided, Amnesty said. Their trial took place in central AlGezira state.

“One of the women, Sadia Idriss Fadul, has one of her children with her in prison,” Amnesty said.
