State Department Welcomes Hamas Mouthpiece, Al-Quds TV, to DC to Film Propaganda

The State Department, in a stunning act of sponsoring terror, has invited the propaganda television station of Hamas, Al-quds TV, to film propaganda here in the United States in your dime.

Below is a cable of a proposal from the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem. Al-quds TV, the mouthpiece for Hamas, will film a documentary and miniseries about Muslims in America. All at US taxpayers' expense. It's really disgusting. Hamas comes to Washington.

Imagine the FDR administration welcoming Goebbels to DC during World War II to film Nazi propaganda and footing the bill.

Understand that no other propaganda TV stations are invited to come here at our expense who are not pro-hamas/hezbollah or in some fashion - part of the Muslim Brotherhood. No Hindus, no Buddhists, etc. are invited. Only Muslim stations. Israel could certainly use an invite.

There isn't an agency that is not infiltrated (see this). In the case of DOS, in particular, it's beyond infiltration. They are running the show. a new position/division has been created at the State Department: "Special  Representative to Muslim Communities overseas and domestic".

1. ConGen Jerusalem submits the following TV Co-op proposal on behalf of two Palestinian organizations, a local media NGO and a Ramallah-based television station.  The intended production will include several documentaries on the life of Muslims in America.

The nominated 2-3 person TV crew will conduct interviews with local Muslim leaders and individuals, visit Muslim institutions and organizations, and meet with USG officials.  In addition, the crew will cover some events that are part of a single country project

IVLP consisting of prominent Palestinian religious leaders. Separate interviews with selected individuals from different segments of the larger American society, including representatives from various religious denominations, will also be an integral part of this TV production.

 

2. Post will coordinate with PA/OBS to generate a program that will fulfill the objectives of the TV Co-op program.

 

3. MSP Goal:  Improve attitudes of Palestinian public and leaders toward U.S. policies, principles, and people.

 

4. Time Frame:  July 13-30, 2009

 

5. Background/Objectives:  A 2-3 member television crew will produce a one-hour documentary and a series of other mini-documentaries on topics related to the daily lives of Muslim-Americans, including their role as active participants in civil society and contributions

to U.S. society overall.  The documentaries will highlight aspects of the Muslim community in the U.S., including their equal and full exercise of guaranteed civil rights and full protection under the

law to practice their religion freely.  The documentaries will help counter numerous local press reports of alleged discrimination against Muslims living in the United States.  The production of these documentaries by a Palestinian television crew and their broadcast on local TV outlets will help promote greater public awareness of the overall positive experience of Muslim Americans.

During the two week program organized by PA/OBS, post hopes that the TV crew will be able to film some specific portions of a post-initiated IVLP [International Visitors Leadership Program] Single Country Program on "Religion in America" taking place at the same time. The documentaries will be aired on several local media outlets, including independent Al-Quds Educational TV and the national Palestinian TV, as well as several other independent television stations that reach viewers throughout the West Bank and Gaza.

 

6. Participating Organizations:  The proposed documentaries will be jointly produced by the Jerusalem Center for Studies and Islamic Media, a local media NGO, and Al-Quds Educational TV, one of the largest local TV stations in the Palestinian areas.

 

The Jerusalem Center for Studies and Islamic Media:

 

Established in October 2005, the center aims at reflecting Islam as

a religion of tolerance and one that is accepting of other

religions.  Through its activities, the center seeks to provide a

"forward look toward promoting religious tolerance, peace and

security for all peoples of the region."  Some of the center's

activities include conducting workshops and conferences on Islamic

media, producing television programs and computerized multimedia

presentations about Islam and Islamic civilization, and organizing

constructive dialogue sessions with members of different religions.

 

Al-Quds Educational TV:

 

The TV station currently reaches the greater Ramallah and Jerusalem areas, and is a member of the Ma'an TV network that reaches all of the West Bank and Gaza.  The station itself is under new management and wants to renew its image and viewer base by adding high quality programs to its existing broadcast.  The new management is very

excited about the possibility of making the TV Coop documentaries a centerpiece of their new program launch.  Al Quds Educational TV last participated in a TV Co-op program in 2002.

 

7. Filming Locations:

 

The 2-3 person film crew would travel to several different locations in several states in order to obtain a well-rounded picture of Muslim Life in America.  As mentioned, post would also like the film crew to capture some of the meetings/events taking place as part of

the SCP [Single Country Program] on "Religion in America."  Post will work with PA/OBS in coordination with the crew to identify relevant sites to visit and

appropriate individuals to interview.  PA/OBS and Post would also work with the SCP program officer to identify appropriate integration of the film crew in specific activities of the SCP.

 

8. Participating crew members/Logistics:

 

The participating TV crew will consist of 2-3 professionals:  A reporter, a cameraman and a soundman.  The reporter is a professional journalist and a leading TV talkshow host and news anchor.  The remaining 1-2 crew members are professional technicians

with Al-Quds Educational TV.

 

9.  Funding:  International airfare to the U.S. and visa costs will

be paid for by post.  Post requests that all other costs be funded by PA/OBS. THIS MEANS US

Every year TV stations come in from all over the world. However, TV stations from most of the Arab world cover one issue only -  Muslim life in America, or Islam in America. No other non-Arab nations send a TV station run by terrorists, nor do they focus on religion.

An Egyptian newspaper reported this week that several European members of an Al Qaeda cell recently busted in Egypt received training and financing from Palestinian terror groups in the Gaza Strip.

The Europeans - three Belgians, a man from France and another from the UK - stand accused, along with seven Arab Al Qaeda members, of planning to attack Israeli targets in Egypt and monitoring Israeli traffic through the Suez Canal.

Egyptian authorities involved in the investigation told Cairo's Al-Masri Al-Youm daily newspaper that they had discovered shocking evidence of the massive degree of Al Qaeda activity in both Gaza and Egypt.

Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas for years denied that Al Qaeda was active in Gaza, but the territory's Hamas rulers never hid their affinity for Osama bin Laden's group and its accomplishments.

A Cartoon to Inculcate the Next Generation of Muslims about the  fake “Palestinian Cause”:

As the US government works to force an Israeli-Palestinian "peace process" forward, a significant obstacle to winning Arab public opinion and achieving a lasting peace is the current Arab Islamic narrative of the conflict. The narrative of “the Catastrophe of 1948” and the resulting “Palestinian suffering” has long served as an inciter of  violence and anti-American sentiment. A soon-to-be-released Arabic animated film, that aims to teach children about the faux “Palestinian Cause” from the viewpoint for a Palestinian"refugee", may serve to further cement this narrative in a new generation of young Arabs and Muslims.

The Saudi-produced film, titled “The Olive Dream,” tells the story of a young girl who in 1948 witnessed her father’s death at the hands of “Zionist gangs,” who “came to take” the non-existent Palestinian lands. The girl and her family are then forced off their land to the refugee camp of Jenin, where they endure the 2002 “Jenin massacre” before finally returning to their land at the end of the film.

Al-Jazeera Arabic profiled the film in April, where it aired clips of it and interviewed its producer/director, who said the “most important message” of the film is that “this is our land and we should hold on to it.”

He said the film aims to introduce children to the “Palestinian Cause from a geographic and religious perspective.” One battle scene depicts a military bombardment of civilians and young men fighting back, with a song playing in the background that says “the world has become a jungle, and the promises of people are mirages” and that “death is at the door.” Though most Arabic-produced animated films over the years have not enjoyed commercial success in the Arab world, The Olive Dream has been receiving increasing media attention ahead of its release because of its subject and its “high quality.”

According to Al-Arabiya’s website, the Saudi produced and directed film has a “suspenseful” storyline and the same production values as a “Disney” animated film. From the clips I have seen, the quality of the work is closer to that of a decent Flash video than a Disney cartoon, but still better than most Arabic-produced cartoons. The producers are reportedly arranging for distribution in all Arab countries and in Turkey, with a planned release date set during the family-oriented holy month of Ramadan (between August and September).

The film’s producer/director says he is working on an English version for international distribution because he sees the film as “directed at the entire world, not just Arabs and Muslims. It involves the most precious subject to the Arab heart.” Yes, incitement to kill Jews and annihilate Israel.Regardless of the success of the theatrical release in the Arab world, the film will most likely be later sold to a number of Arabic TV channels.  One clip from the film, showing the girl fulfilling her “Olive Dream” of returning to her land to plant an olive tree, is available on YouTube courtesy of the YouTube channel of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood. But this was his first meeting under the Obama administration, which has launched a fresh quest for peace in the Middle East, and came as Obama's Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, was less than 400 miles (645 kilometers) away in Cairo preparing to visit Syria Friday.

Carter, who went to Syria after observing elections in neighboring Lebanon, stressed that he was in Damascus as a private citizen and not representing the Obama administration.

Obama, also a Democrat, seems to be going in the direction that Carter has long advocated - engagement with longtime foes Iran and Syria. So far Obama, like the Bush administration, has drawn the line at meeting with Hamas. But in a speech in Cairo last week, Obama seemed to suggest some basis for believing that Palestinian factions who rule Gaza might be drawn into the peace process.

Hezbollah's power in Lebanon (along with its population numbers) continues to grow, and it controls the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabbih Berri, as well as several Lebanese government cabinet positions and government ministries.

But what you didn't hear about is that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter--who previously met with and feted top HAMAS officials--just met with Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, the spiritual leader of Hezbollah. Carter's son, James, accompanied him, and the meeting took place in Beirut. (Carter was in Lebanon ostensibly as an "impartial" election monitor and observer. But he was hardly impartial.)

Interestingly both Frank and JC ended up in the NUCLEAR end because it was considered to have a high probability of FAILURE and most of the "up and coming" types wanted to avoid that. (Chance and history made it the other way around.)

The ONLY degree the Academy offered at the time was in "Naval Science". Sort of a ship/navy/Civil/Mechanical and minor electrical engineering combination.

 

JC and Frank went through Admiral Rickover's one year "nuclear training", but as Frank said, 1/2 technical and 1/2 MBA (Management), because of the emphasis on RUNNING the operation with a cadre of skilled technicians/seamen.

 

So the "Nuclear Engineer" claim is bogus too.

Source: Booby-trapped horses used in failed terror attack

Under the cover of morning fog, a group of around 10 Palestinian gunmen armed with "huge amounts of explosives" launched a failed Gaza border assault at the Karni Crossing on Monday, in which booby-trapped horses were used, a security source told The Jerusalem Post.

At least four terrorists were killed in an ensuing exchange of fire with the IDF. No Israeli soldiers were wounded in the incident.

The terror cell belonged to the Janud Ansar Allah (Soldiers Loyal to Allah) organization, a small group which is linked to Iran and Hizbullah, the security source added.

Members of the cell, some of whom had suicide bomb belts strapped around their bodies, led the horses from trucks and began planting explosive devices along the fence. They were identified by IDF soldiers on patrol, of Golani's 13th Battalion. The gunmen proceeded to open fire on the troops, while mortar fire from deep within the Gaza Strip was also directed at the soldiers.

Soldiers returned fire, and called for backup. At first, tanks were dispatched to the scene, and fired on the terror cell. Air Force combat helicopters then joined the fight, also firing on terrorist targets from above.

"A very big terror attack was thwarted," the security source said. "These terrorists were armed with a huge quantity of explosives. They launched a combined attack, using mortars, and attempted to approach the border fence with booby-trapped horses to harm our soldiers, before firing on our force."

PA Muslims Raid Christian Graves

Palestinian Authority Muslims went on a rampage Sunday and desecrated 70 Christian graves two weeks after the pope praised efforts for a new PA state and tried to appease Muslim anger over previous disputes between the two religions.

The vandals smashed gravestones and knocked metal and stone crosses off graves in the village of Jiffna, near Ramallah, home to approximately 900 Christians and 700 Muslims. Greek Orthodox Church official George Abdo told Reuters the head and hand of a statue of Madonna also was severed.

The Palestine News Network, which claims to be comprised of independent journalists, did not report the incident but instead told its readers about a Muslim-Christian meeting in Shechem to discuss bias during Pope [Benedict] XVI's visit. It said that the focus of the talks was the status of Jerusalem and efforts "to keep the optimal model of peaceful coexistence and tolerance between religions, particularly between Muslims and Christians."

Sunday’s anti-Christian attack follows years of harassment from Muslims that has escalated a lengthy exodus of Christians from Judea, Samaria and Gaza. The areas enjoyed strong economies from 1967, when Israel took over administration of the areas following the Six-Day War, until 2000, when PA terrorists launched the Oslo War, also known as the Second Intifada.

However, the PA and foreign news agencies have blamed Israel for harsh economic conditions that have chased away Christians. Reuters told its readers that “[Arab] officials say many Christians have emigrated in recent decades. Most cite economic hardships under Israeli occupation, though some also voice fears of less tolerant forms of Islam growing among Palestinians.”

Sheikh attacks Israel, pope walks out J Post (hat tip rut)

Chief Islamic Judge of the Palestinian Authority, Sheikh Tayseer Rajab Tamimi, launched a poisonous verbal attack on Israel at a Monday night gathering attended by Pope Benedict XVI.

In a meeting with organizations involved in inter-religious dialogue at the Notre Dame Jerusalem Center, Tamimi called upon Muslims and Christians to unite against what he said were the murderous Israelis.

Taking the podium after the pope without being on the original list of speakers scheduled for the evening, Tamimi, speaking at length in Arabic, accused Israel of murdering women and children in Gaza and making Palestinians refugees, and declared Jerusalem the eternal Palestinian capital.

Following the diatribe and before the meeting was officially over, the pope exited the premises. Army Radio reported that the pope shook Tamimi's hand before walking out.

Minutes after the embarrassing occurrence, Father Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See press office, released a response to the incident.

"The intervention of Sheikh Tayseer Tamimi was not previewed by the organizers of the interreligious meeting that took place at Notre Dame Centre in Jerusalem," the message read. "In a meeting dedicated to dialogue, this intervention was a direct negation of what [it] should be," it continued.

"We hope that such an incident will not damage the mission of the Holy Father aiming at promoting peace and interreligious dialogue, as he has clearly affirmed in many occasions in this pilgrimage," Father Lombardi added.

"We hope also that interreligious dialogue in the Holy Land will not be damaged by this incident," the message concluded.

The Tourism Ministry and the Foreign Ministry both denounced Tamimi's remarks.

"Interreligious dialogue" = convert or die.

A 22-year-old Palestinian from the West Bank was indicted at the Jerusalem District Court on Sunday for the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl from Beitar Illit.

The young man, who was conducting renovation work at the house of the girl's neighbors, allegedly cornered the girl and assaulted her when she came for a visit.

Move sparks outrage among Israel supporters. (As it should for every American.)

The Obama administration is laying the groundwork for dialogue with a Palestinian unity government that includes Hamas, the Los Angeles Times reported on Monday. According to the LA Times, the administration has asked Congress to amend US law so as to enable continued financial assistance to the Palestinian Authority even if Hamas becomes part of a future unity government.ppp

US law requires the PA to adhere to three conditions in order to be eligible for aid: Recognizing Israel, renouncing violence and accepting past agreements. Hamas, as an organization, does not meet these conditions. (How many times do they have to tell us they will NOT recognize Israel before this Muslim thug believes them? )

According to the proposed change, if the rival Palestinian factions reach a power-sharing agreement, the US would like to provide aid as long as the government members backed by Hamas meet the administration’s criteria. This new initiative, reported the LA Times, signals a break from the policy of the Bush administration, which opposed a unity government.

The move has already sparked anger among Israel supporters in Congress. Rep. Mark Steven Kirk told Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton at a House hearing last week that the administration’s proposal is akin to agreeing to support a government that “only has a few Nazis in it.”

US General: Fatah Soldiers are 'Founders of Palestinian State'

Palestinian Authority special forces were praised by an American general this week for becoming the founders of a new Arab country within Israel's current borders.

"As I look at you, I couldn't be more proud of the fact that you stepped up to be the founders of a Palestinian state," U.S. Lt.-Gen. Keith Dayton told a battalion in his speech to the troops Monday in Tulkarm. Dayton is responsible for the military training of the PA special forces. The statement was reported by the Reuters news service.

The American government has spent tens of millions of dollars outfitting the PA troops, which it calls “special forces,” possibly in order to avoid contradicting the Oslo Accords that limit military activities of the PA. Dayton has been overseeing their training, which takes place in Jordan and at a base built in Jericho with U.S. funds. Weapons for the “special forces” are provided by Arab countries, with Israeli approval.

The Olmert administration also approved a gift of armored personnel carriers from Russia with the stipulation that they be unarmed. In addition, Russia had wanted to hand over two helicopters to the PA as well.

Dayton told Reuters that the Obama administration plans to expand the training program for 1,500 more PA troops, creating three more battalions, in the next 12 months. Dayton already has supervised the training of 1,600 troops, most of whom are deployed in large PA-controlled Arab cities, including Jenin, Shechem and Hevron.

Despite their presence, the IDF continues to carry out the task of arresting terrorists, particularly at night when the PA forces do not operate.

"If it goes the way the administration has asked for, we will accelerate dramatically what we are doing here in terms of training and equipment, and filling in the gaps in between," Dayton said during his visit in Tulkarm, located almost adjacent to the Judea-Samaria separation barrier and only a few miles east of Netanya.

The additional training program requires approval from Congress for more funding that would allow the construction for more PA military bases in Judea and Samaria. Without defining the cost of the additional training and construction, Dayton stated it will entail “more financial support than we have ever had before.”

Mahmoud Abbas: "I do not accept the Jewish State"

So the world sanctions 56 Islamic countries (all the very model of modernity) and cannot tolerate one teeny, tiny Jewish state. Think about that. We must be very, very special.

A major terrorist car bombing was averted at a Haifa mall on Saturday night when one of several explosive devices hidden in a parked vehicle malfunctioned. After being alerted by an employee of the Lev Hamifratz shopping center, who reported hearing an explosion, police sappers were dispatched to scan the area. The sappers found a partially exploded bomb in the trunk of a white Subaru car which was parked outside the shopping center, and registered to a woman who lives in Jerusalem. A further search of the vehicle uncovered several more unexploded bombs, containing dozens of kilograms of explosive material, which were neutralized by the sappers.

"We believe this is a terrorist incident," a police statement said. Police immediately moved to evacuate the mall, which was filled with shoppers at the time, and sealed off the area. A major traffic route adjacent to the mall was also closed off to traffic, as police went on high alert across the Haifa area.

On the ground, roadblocks sprang up and police presence was increased in crowded areas. It was not immediately clear how the vehicle managed to get past security checks at the entrance to the mall....

Dahlan to Hamas: Never recognize Israel J Post hat tip Rut

Former Fatah security commander Muhammad Dahlan on Tuesday called on Hamas not to recognize Israel's right to exist, pointing out that Fatah had never recognized it.

This was the first time since the beginning of the peace process 15 years ago that a senior Fatah official has said that his faction does not recognize Israel's right to exist.

Dahlan's remarks were made in an interview with the Palestinian Authority's official Palestine TV station.

Dahlan, who has kept a low profile ever since the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007, resurfaced during Operation Cast Lead. Since then, he has made several public appearances, the latest being last Friday when he was seen praying next to PA President Mahmoud Abbas in a Ramallah mosque.

Fatah officials said that Dahlan's return to the center stage is an indication of his desire to play a role in any post-Abbas administration. They said that Dahlan was recently appointed as a special adviser to Abbas.

Dahlan confirmed that he was "providing advice and ideas" to Abbas, especially regarding to the reconciliation talks with Hamas that were launched in Cairo last week.

Arab Terrorists Kill 2 Policemen in Jordan Valley Attack INN

(IsraelNN.com) Arab terrorists killed two Israeli traffic policemen Sunday evening near Moshav Massua in an apparent drive-by shooting in the Jordan Valley between Beit She’an and Jericho. The victims’ squad car overturned after the terrorists shot them in head. Medical officials say one victim died as a result of injuries suffered by the car overturning.

Different terrorist groups took responsibility for the attack, the first in the Jordan Valley since January. Fatah-Tanzim terrorists initially were quoted as saying they carried out the murders, but an unknown group called the Imad Mughniyeh Squad later said it was behind the attack. The cell is named after the Hizbullah terrorist mastermind who was assassinated a year ago in Damascus. The unknown group said the attack was "in response to the crimes of occupation against the Palestinian people."

The murders occurred at the same time that two Israeli officials were concluding talks in Egypt on agreement by which Israel would free hundreds of murderers and others terrorists in exchange for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, who is presumed to be alive and physically well after nearly 1,000 days of captivity.

Poll: PA Leads in Anti-American Sentiment Israel national News

IsraelNN.com) A poll released this week by the World Public Opinion polling group showed the Palestinian Authority leading several other Arab and Muslim countries in hatred for the United States, belief that the United States is battling Islam and support for attacks on American civilians.

The poll was conducted in 2007 and 2008 among residents of Egypt, Indonesia, Morocco and Pakistan, and in 2008 among residents of Azerbaijan, Iran, Jordan, Turkey and Palestinian Authority-controlled areas in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Nigerian Muslims were polled as well.

The survey also showed a slight increase in support for terrorism and attacks on US civilians in countries where the poll was conducted in both 2007 and 2008.A total of 638 PA Arabs were questioned for the poll, and the margin of error regarding their responses was four percent.

Among the findings:
A full 88 percent of PA Arabs said spreading Christianity in the Middle East was “definitely” or “probably” one of the United States' foreign policy goals, with PA residents the most likely to support this claim. Muslims in Turkey, Jordan and Pakistan were also likely to hold this belief, with between 70-80 percent of respondents in those countries answering that the spread of Christianity was “definitely” or “probably” a US goal.

Eighty-nine percent of PA respondents said the US was “definitely” or “probably” trying to control Middle East oil resources, a percent similar to that in other Muslim countries. Seventy percent said the US was “definitely” hoping to divide and weaken the Muslim world.

Over 50 percent said the US was “definitely” or “probably” interested in creating “an independent and economically viable” PA state. However, 90 percent said the US was also planning to expand Israel's borders.

Forty-nine percent said the US “purposely tries to humiliate the Islamic world.”

When asked about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the US, 42 percent of PA respondents said they believed Al Qaeda or another Muslim terrorist group was behind the attacks, while 27 percent blamed the American government.

By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of  1962 (the ``Act''), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I  hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the
Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration  needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.

Hamas negotiators stopped with suitcases of cash

CAIRO – Hamas negotiators left Egypt without a long-term cease-fire with Israel on Thursday — but not before some members of the militant group's delegation were stopped at the Gaza border carrying millions in cash.

The delegation walked away from the cease-fire talks because of disagreements over the blockage on Gaza and border security. Talks will continue at a later date.

An Egyptian security official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said the group initially refused to be searched by Egyptian authorities at the Rafah border crossing. When the group relented, authorities found $7 million and 2 million euros ($2.5 million) in cash in their suitcases. Another security official, also speaking on condition of anonymity, said $9 million and 2 million euros were found. The discrepancy could not be immediately explained.

The money was later deposited in an account in Egypt by a Hamas member who stayed behind while the rest of the delegation was allowed to return to Gaza, the second security official said. He later returned to Gaza, the second official said.

It was not clear what would happen to the money.

There was no immediate comment from Hamas.

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.

The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.

President Obama's decision, according to the Register, was necessitated by "the urgent refugee and migration needs" of the "victims."

Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

The charter for Hamas calls for the replacement of the nation of Israel with a Palestinian Islamic state.

Since its formation in 1994, Hamas has been responsible for hundreds of terrorist attacks, including the 2002 Passover suicide bombing. The leaders of the movement signed the World Islamic Statement of 1998 – a document, penned by Osama bin Laden, which declared war on America and Israel.

President Obama's executive order is expected to bring hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, many with ties to radical Islam, to our shores, furthering a process that was inaugurated in 1995 by Senator Ted Kennedy and the Cedar-Hart bill.

In 1965, Allah in His mercy raised up Senators Ted Kennedy and Edward Celler to initiate changes in the immigration law that made it possible for millions of Muslims to make their way to the New World – as the Christian Europeans had done in the early years of the 20th Century. The Cedar-Hart bill, which was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson on October 3, 1965, abolished the national-origin quotas that had been in effect since 1924. In the spirit of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, it barred discrimination on the basis of race, creed, religion, or national origin. America, by fiat of liberal secular humanists, was to be become a multicultural country – a country severed from its Judeo-Christian roots.

Remaining cognizant of the common roots as the American people, our legislative had enacted stringent laws pertaining to immigration and naturalization. The Naturalization Act of 1790 stipulated that "any alien, being a free white person, may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States" The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 prohibited Chinese families from immigrating to the United States. The Immigration Act of 1907 reorganized the states bordering Mexico (Arizona, New Mexico and a large part of Texas) into Mexican Border District to stem the flow of immigrants into the US.

The Immigration Act of 1924 further limited the number of new immigrants by the establishment of a stringent quota system. The number of newcomers was now limited to 2 percent of each nationality who lived in the country not in 1924 but in 1890. The reliance of this legislation on the ethnic composition of the country before the turn of the century guaranteed that the majority of new arrivals would be from Northern Europe. Since few Italians and Eastern Europeans lived in the US in 1890, the quotas for these nationalities became fixed at marginal rates and the number of new immigrants from "undesirable" regions greatly reduced. First off, there is no such thing as a "Palestinian". You don't go to sleep in 1967 a trans-Jordanian and wake up a "Palestinian". Secondly, these barbarians were aligned with Hitler during the Holocaust (also see: Hitler and Muhammad).

It's no coincidence that the ad runs on the UN  International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

Secondly, these Philistines that deny the holocaust, have the audacity to use the word holocaust. They haven't a clue.  Perhaps that's why they have no humanity.

On the first day of the Hamas ceasefire with Israel, Hamas TV has released a propaganda film to bolster its claims that it won the war in Gaza and killed 49 Israeli soldiers. The animated film depicts Israeli soldiers as cowards, and vows that soldiers who dare to come to Gaza will face "certain death."

Observers have reported that hundreds of Hamas fighters were killed in the conflict, More..while Israel lost 10 soldiers in combat and three civilians in rocket attacks. However, in the attempt to present this war as a victory, Hamas TV reported today that Hamas lost only 48 fighters and killed 80 Israelis, including 49 soldiers.

Now check this out. It's a complete rip off. Are the  Muslims capable of an original thought? Do they produce anything other than seventh century death, slavery and misogyny?

I am a Canadian soldier currently serving in Afghanistan. We too are fighting an intractable enemy, who has little regard for the lives of the innocent people they destroy. I have read some people's opinions on this war and how Israel is the big bad aggressor in this conflict. Put yourself in the minds of the Israelis and ask yourself what your response would be if terrorists on our borders continually lobbed rockets into our backyard, killing and maiming our citizens. What do you think our response would be? You know it would be exactly the same response as the Israelis. When Hamas agrees to stop rocketing Israel, the Israelis will stop their campaign. It seems pretty damn simple to me.

Ex-US Foreign Service Officer Fries Rice, Blames Her for Hamas   INN

(IsraelNN.com) Former United States Foreign Service Officer Norman Olsen has blamed U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for misguided policies that he and his Gaza activist son say put Hamas in power.

Writing in the Christian Science Monitor, Olsen and his son Matthew also revealed that the U.S. State Hamas never called for the elections that put them in power. That was the brainstorm of Secretary Rice and her staff. Department is so deeply involved in the Palestinian Authority that it financed Fatah in its election campaign against Hamas.

The senior Olsen worked for the Foreign Office for 26 years, including four years in Gaza as a counselor for the American Embassy in Tel Aviv.

"Hamas never called for the elections that put them in power. That was the brainstorm of Secretary Rice and her staff," he and his son, who runs peace programs, wrote in the Monitor Monday morning.

Olsen maintained that Rice and her aides "had apparently decided they could steer Palestinians into supporting the more-compliant Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah faction through a marketing campaign that was to counter Hamas's growing popularity.'

The American strategy was to pave the way for Mohammed Dahlan, Fatah's strong man and "warlord" on Gaza, to destroy Hamas's terrorist brigades.

"Rice was reportedly blindsided when she heard the news of Hamas's victory during her 5:00 a.m. treadmill workout," the Olsens recalled.

Last Saturday they were 20,000 (police figures) or 25,000 (organizer’s claim). Today they were 30,000 (police estimate) or 100,000 (organizer’s assertion). With a dozen hefty police cars and several rows of riot policemen in the lead, he demonstration left Place de la République at 3 PM, went down boulevard Beaumarchais to the Bastille and from there to Place de la Nation. Some “minor” incidents have been reported in the press so far, attributed to “smashers” who didn’t really belong to the demonstration. For some mysterious reason they went straight to Place de la Nation, where they caused the usual trouble, until they were finally joined by the real demonstration, to which they were not really attached. This unlikely story will not convince anyone who actually saw the demonstration, with its smashers ready to smash.  Their faces covered to show the heights of their courage, they ran in packs, often in the opposite direction to the rank and file.

The march was mean, ugly, raucous, defiant, hysterical, frightening. Hundreds of Palestinian flags, a few Hamas flags, and a huge banner proclaiming support for Hamas, carried by the Indigènes de la République. Watch their video on this site http://www.indigenes-republique.fr/ Pro-Hamas, pro-Hizbullah, unashamedly extremist, they claim to resist until all of Palestine (=all of Israel) is liberated. Chanting Palestine vivra, Hamas vaincra (Palestine will live, Hamas will win) the indigenes (the natives) vilify the French president, Arab leaders, Bush of course and, if I heard right, Obama as well. The Indigènes are the hardcore of the demonstration. They are the ultimate in humanitarian protest, n’est-ce pas?  I don’t have to tell you, just watch the video, and you will understand that these people will do whatever their leaders tell them to do. There is no limit.

The rest of the demonstration stretched out in various degrees of jihadism. The banners were slapdash, the “bloodied” sheets were sloppy, the blood libel baby was a dummy. Occasional posters thanked Hugo Chavez (for kicking out the Israeli ambassador), hundreds bore portraits of the founding warlord Izzedine al Qassam. The usual slogans accused Israel of cold-blooded murder, proclaimed “We are all Palestinians of Gaza,” demanded that the media tell the “truth.” Meaning the whole truth, the Hamas truth, and no other truth.  The sound trucks looked like IEDs. The keffieh was de rigueur. Some wore it around the shoulders, some wrapped it around the head…all that was missing was the RPG.

Extreme left anti-capitalist party leaders, Marie-Georges Buffet and Olivier Besancenot, were present and accounted for. There was mention of someone from the Human Rights League. Mouloud Aounit, president of the MRAP, an anti-racist association that known for its dallying with Islamists, announced that the demonstration was a warning to France. They must intervene for an immediate ceasefire and/ or send forces to protect the Palestinians from the Israelis. The demonstration, he said, is not communitarian (ethnic) or religious, it is in the name of justice.

The infidel minority was a bit stronger this time than a week ago. As I presumed then, the UOIF had a lot to do with the turnout. A colleague, Clément Weill-Raynal, confirms that the French branch of the Muslim Brotherhood told imams to talk up the Gaza crisis at Friday prayers, and get the people out into the streets. A week of phony humanitarian crisis and atrocity reports in French media has probably mobilized additional support for the Gazaouis and their Hamas government.

This week France 2 admitted, barely, that a 12-second sequence allegedly showing death and destruction caused by an Israeli airstrike on January 1st was in fact footage shot in 2005. They did not bother to explain that the footage in question was used at that time to falsely accuse Israeli forces of committing an atrocity when in fact the casualties were caused by a truck laden with explosives that went off accidentally in the midst of a crowd in Jabalya. The newscaster mumbled the half-hearted apology without bothering to rerun at least a few seconds of the fake footage so that viewers would know which sequence was being retracted and why. And, more important of all, she did not mention that most of the videos the station is showing these days from Palestinian sources are also faked.

French media have slipped headlong into blood libel mode. Just as they did in September 2000 when the pre-planned jihad attack against Israel was disguised as a popular uprising that turned radical because of a disproportionate Israeli reaction to perfectly normal protests. Today, French media are wallowing in blood, steaming hot libelous blood. If anyone in the French media’s Jerusalem studios is checking the videos that pour in, it must be a Hamas operative. Those courageous Hamas combatants are hiding underground and, with the help of Western media, launching lethal narratives at Israel. Talal Abou Rahma of Mohamed al Dura fame gets a credit now and then, but he has too much competition this time around. Not likely to reap rewards for any scoops!

I suppose the same stories are going around everywhere. The Israelis shot at a UN (they don’t like to say UNWRA) contractor trying to bring in humanitarian aid, forcing the UN to suspend distribution; the Israelis gathered over a hundred innocent civilians in a building… and then bombed it;  etc. , etc., etc. Enough atrocities to go around the world…and strangle it. You can see some of them on the front page of the Communist newspaper, L’Humanité, displayed by demonstrators today.

And of course if we object to staged, faked, doctored, and photoshopped images it means we don’t care about the children who really did get killed or wounded. Tell it to the humanitarians who demonstrated today.

Someone from the Lyon branch of a Muslim association warned that France better heed the message delivered today and take a strong position (against Israel of course). If not, the banlieue is going to explode. That’s right, it’s going to explode. There are elements in the banlieue, he said, that can’t be controlled. No one—not the associations, the political parties, the imams—can control them. Israel can no longer be given special dispensation from respect for international law.

If Nicolas Sarkozy hoped to calm the banlieue by his strong condemnations of Israel’s disproportionate response to the Hamas rocket attacks, which he also condemned, it wasn’t worth the loss of dignity. Today’s demonstrators and the masses they speak for won’t be satisfied with half-measures.

Allow me to propose a metric for evaluating whether a journalist is behaving responsibly or not: If he reports that Israel bombed a UN school and killed 30 civilians, he is irresponsible. If he reports that Hamas used a UN school as a weapons cache and base of operations for launching mortars at the IDF, and the IDF’s return fire killed the Hamas cell along, tragically, with a yet-unspecified number of civilians, then he is behaving responsibly. If he wishes to be particularly scrupulous, he might additionally note that Hamas had rigged the school with explosives which detonated after the IDF took out the mortar team, killing a large additional number of civilians. And he might add that you can go to the IDF’s Youtube channel to from 2007 of Hamas using the very same school as a mortar-launching base.

Journalists who abjure reporting the vital details of this story should be called what they are — activists masquerading as reporters.

HUMAN SHIELDS WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE ?

Hamas' use of the children and other innocents as human shields at the UN school got it desired effect yesterday.  They they fired mortars on Israeli troops, the troops returned the fire, and dozens of civilians died or were injured, along with the terrorists. There is a library full of evidence proving it isn't the first time Hamas has used innocents as human shields.
 

Hamas built armories in the basements of Mosques and schools, private homes and hospitals. They create their bunkers and weapons factories in crowded neighborhoods. All of this "construction" was done out in the public. Under the watchful eye of the UN as well as human right's organizations such as Amnesty,  Human Rights Watch (HRW), and B'tselem.

Where was Ken Roth, head of Human Rights Watch when Hamas was violating international law and setting up children as human shields? He was busy trumping up accusations of collective punishment against Israel for defending herself.
 

How about Irene Khan the Secretary General of Amnesty International, surely she must have noticed that Hamas was "drawing targets" on hospital beds? No She was too busy blasting Israel for occupying Gaza, even though Israel left Gaza three years ago.

David Kretzmer and Gila Svirsky of B'tselem were too busy working on their annual report fabricating Palestinian civilian casualties to prevent any REAL civilian casualties. 

Where is the outrage? Why is no one complaining that these supposed Human Rights groups have chosen to distort international law, ignoring the real danger to Gaza civilians. 

The blood of the innocent women and children called out to these groups, but they fell on deaf ears, these organizations were too busy creating false charges and anti-Israel propaganda to notice the real human rights crimes.

Please read this post from a soldier's mother:

Yesterday, mortars were fired FROM the school In Jebalya. This was a direct and intentional attack on Israel, on Israel's soldiers and population. Mortars are explosions. They are loud. You can't pretend you didn't hear them. Many months ago, I went to a ceremony on a base where Elie had completed his basic training. Part of the ceremony included Elie's group showing their parents what they had learned. After the awards and the talking, some of the soldiers ran to the armored personnel vehicles, while others, including Elie sat on the ground and watched. An officer came near me, as I stood watching with my youngest daughter. He told me to sit down with the girl "on your lap." So, we sat down, as the soldiers were doing. As another officer was explaining to the crowd about the types of explosives that would be fired, where they would be targeting (the hill a few kilometers in the distance), etc. I saw the soldiers stick their fingers in their ears.

I thought to myself - they've been doing this - they know. So I told my daughter to do the same...quickly. She did, and so did I. Except - then I couldn't hear the explanation and so I uncovered my ears. Now, I've lived in Israel more than 15 years, but there is still sometimes a delay factor in my Hebrew comprehension. Now they are going to fire...took me too long and so, I heard and felt the BOOM as the cannons fired.

Everyone in that building yesterday KNEW that the school was being used as a launching ground...and yet, apparently not one of those thought it would be a smart thing to leave. That seems strange to me, unnatural. I was once in Jerusalem, walking with by two daughters when something "exploded" ahead of me. Everyone around me stopped, as I did. It was a bus hitting something that went flying in the air and crashed loudly into something else. People began to move and yet I stood there, unsure what to do. It should be both human instinct and parental instinct to move away from danger.

And the people who now mourn the "innocents" who died in yesterday's attack on the United Nations school don't question why people remained in the building from which these weapons were fired. They don't question that this defies human instinct and certainly what should have been every parent's first reaction. The people in the school died for three simple reasons:

1. Palestinians decided to use the United Nations school as a launching base to attack innocent civilians. This wasn't the first time they had used the school. Months ago, Israel filed a formal complaint to the United Nations. Clearly, nothing was done to stop this abuse and so we come to reason # 2.

2. The United Nations did not stop the Palestinians from using their area. One might argue that they could not stop them - and the answer, the simple answer was that they should then have made it clear, publicly, that they could not offer a place of refuge in a firing range. They should not have allowed families to take refuge in such a place. And that brings me to # 3.

3. The families and parents. I heard a father mourning the death of his son. He blames the Israeli government, and I blame him. "Are you insane?" I want to ask him. "How could you allow your son to be near mortars being fired? What did you think Israel was going to do?" Why didn't you take your son? Why didn't you behave responsibly? It was YOUR job to protect him; to love him enough to keep him safe and it doesn't take a genious to figure out leaving your son in a building from which mortars are being fired in the middle of a war is negligent, stupid, insane, and so so wrong. How could Israel have known that there were people in the building? All they could know is that mortars were being fired from that location. My son is stationed far from the cities. Why? Because if he is a target, we don't want civilians nearby. We do not hide in hospitals, in schools, in homes. Why, why do the Palestinians? And if they do, why, why does the world blame Israel?

People will ask how it is that I don't blame Israel and the answer is simple. Fire came from that building. Call it what you want - a school, a refuge, a mosque, a home...if you shoot at an enemy...common sense would say the enemy will shoot back. Do it from inside a mosque, and the mosque becomes a target. Do it from inside a school, and the school becomes a target. Do it from behind your citizens and families, and you show the true nature of your society, your culture, your cause.

So, beyond the tragic pictures from yesterday, I offer a deeper image of what life is like in the Middle East. There are the tragic pictures - but please take a moment to look beyond...and below.

And what they forget to tell you - is the people who allowed these many pictures to happen, the ones who posed these children with guns, painted their hands with "blood" and strapped "explosive belts" to their bodies, the ones who raise them to believe death should be attained for the glory of God and the more Jews and heathens and infidels you take with you, the higher your place in Heaven - they are the ones responsible for the horror that happened yesterday, because they are the ones who put hundreds of people into a place that should have been a sanctuary and then they turned it into a launching ground.

Today Israel fired a on a UN School in Gaza, killing 40, including some children. According to the IDF, early reports suggest that there were mortars fired upon them from the school. Hamas has a history of using this school as a launching point for mortars, and the students as human shields. (hat tip yidwithlid)

The UN is not even a poser. They are working with Hamas. The objectives set forth  in the UN charter is scorned and reviled by the jihad body of dhimmis and Islamists. OUT OF THE UN NOW - it is the collective organization for the axis of evil.

IDF: Mortars fired from bombed school

While UN spokesman reports at least 30 casualties from attack near UNRWA school in Jabalya, army claims strike targeted terrorists firing mortar shells from structure moments earlier

Global news agencies have decried the Israel Defense Forces strike near a United Nations school in Gaza on Tuesday, in which dozens were killed, and Palestinian sources said the casualties were mostly civilians.

The Israeli army, however, claimed that terrorists were firing mortar shells from the school just moments before the strike. The IDF stated that a number of Hamas gunmen were inside the school, among them Imad and Hassan Abu-Askar, who are known to the IDF as Hamas operatives.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Consulate of New York, invited me to participate in a briefing on the current situation in Gaza --  I just got off the phone, liveblogging it.

Ambassador Jeremy Issacharoff (Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy) and Brigadier General in Reserve Relik Shafir of the Israeli Air Force, briefed bloggers and broadcasters on the latest developments regarding Israel's response to continued rocket and mortar fire from Gaza.

Much discussion of what precipitated this military option -  the tens of thousands of rockets fired into Southern Israel, with intense escalation last week.

"Israeli wanted to exhaust the diplomatic option..... military option was the last resort. Hamas always  chooses the military option first."

"Hamas wanted to escalate the conflict" to undermine Fatah ....they felt much more isolated. This puts them center stage

Israel two objectives to cripple the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas - the military primary purpose we are focused what they are using all their air force assets

Military capabilities is the target. Disarm Hamas. Their military infrastructure is the target.

Up to yesterday 89 trucks of humanitarian aid.....

General Shafir conferences in from the field in Ashkelon where it has taken 30 hits from rockets and kassams - sirens going off - and you can hear in the air the sounds of war.

"We have tried to minimize collateral damage because we know it is going to be a long battle"....

My question was what is the objective of the war - to disarm Hamas or to take take out Hamas? If Hamas's objective is to destroy Israel, disarming is not enough - this is just more foreplay ....

"We need goals we can measure"

The objective is to "defend our citizens".

General said, we are in for the long haul this kind of power game is something we cannot shouldn't tolerate. This conflict will end will power or fire power

we will take out one by one - so course this will take longer. so it will probably take longer, but this is who we are."

They have destroyed three major weapon smuggling tunnels - they cannot guarantee a complete stop of shooting. Now its a hunt - taking out the targets.

"We could have stopped a lot more firing but will not bomb places where uninvolved civilians will be hurt"

"We have warned citizens in homes with factory making facilities. We have dropped leaflets, made phone calls - we see them moving out of their homes and then we remove the target ...."

"This is why you see a minimum of casualties" .... it's going to take a little while.

Accurate Middle East Perspective, thankyouverymuch

It is mildly bemusing that politicians in Israel and (the US) move right of center to get elected. It's what the people want. Once elected, they veer wildly to the left to the detriment of civilization.
This may well be Livni's attempt to snatch victory from the hands of likud. But I do not think they can pull that off. You can't fake integrity and courage for terribly long.  Olmerde and company  do not have the spine, the fortitude, the soul to fight for the Jewish people. (Olmert said that the action was intended primarily to improve the security of the residents of southern Israel  - so we now what that means, he will cave when the pressure gets too intense). We saw this in the summer of 2006, the last time Islamic jihad declared war on the Jews.
Israel should rout her enemies and take out Iran's nukes NOW. Before it is too late. But these dhimmi Jews just don't get it and they will continue to appease their executioners.
That's my take.

When in the history of the world has a country given up land they captured in a defensive war launched against it by surrounding enemies? Only in Israel has this happened.  So great is their quest for peace.

All 22 Arab Nations incite daily in their (non-free) press for Israel’s destruction. Children in the 22 Arab Nations are being raised with a goal of becoming suicide bombers – killing as many Israelis as possible as they die a martyr. Their mothers celebrate their deaths and the countries hail them as heroes – other children collect trading cards with their pictures and descriptions on them much the same as American Children used to collect baseball cards.

Ahmadinejad in Iran promises to ‘wipe Israel off the map.’ He denies there was a European Holocaust that killed  six million Jews while he plots and plans to carry out a second one. He is rapidly working on Atomic Bombs for just that purpose. We should believe him when he says that is his goal…but no one seems to be.  We should have believed Hitler when he wrote about his intentions to get rid of all Jews…but no one did.

Mortars Land Deep in Israel as Troops Move Near Gaza

On the second day of deadly Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip, "Palestinians" in Gaza sent a smattering of rockets and mortar fire into Israel -- some reaching targets deeper inside the country than ever before.

Despite pleas by the United Nations Security Council for an immediate end to the violence, Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said "Israel will continue until we have a new security in the south [of Israel], when the population there will no longer live in terror and in fear of constant rocket barrages."

The Israeli Army says that over the last week militants have fired 300 rockets or mortars at targets in Israel. One Israeli died in a rocket attack on Saturday according to a report by the Associated Press.

Knowing the world loves their Arab lies, they say anything knowing ABC, NBC, CBS,  the soon to be dead as a doornail MSM, will print anything they say as fact. For example, in this same article -

But longtime Palestinian negotiator Hanan Ashrawi told "Good Morning America" today that Hamas militants were "provoked" into violence by what she called an Israeli occupation of Gaza.

Occupation of Gaza? WTF? Israel left  Gaza in 2005 and expelled Jews. Did the Muslims create a human environment? No, they build a Jew killing military complex. The Jews left industry, production, greenhouses which were summarily destroyed by the "peace loving" savages.

Does the media question these statements from these Nazis? They take them down like dictation.They'd rather take the gas pipe then print the truth and I am sure Islamic jihad will see to it that they do take the gas pipe.

"The thing is Israel continued its state of siege, continued its encouragements, gave itself a free hand in Gaza, practically starved the people with a very ruthless blockade and that gave Hamas no choice," Ashrawi said, referring to the blockade of food, fuel and medical supplies that began in June 2007 when Hamas gained control of the region.

The thing is, and what Israel needs desperately to understand is, If they shut the lights off or kill one jihadi or 1,000 jihadis - the world condemnation is the same. No matter what Israel does and no matter how much good Israel does, she is vilified mercilessly in the media and world community.

This is a peculiar blessing. If you are going to get condemned no matter what you do (except of course accepting the annihilation as the Jews did in Germany) then do it right. if you will be shunned no matter what, KILL THE ENEMY, EVERY LAST ONE,  for all  of our sakes.

HAZAK ! Hamastan is getting the Hanuka treatment, special delivery for evildoers.  It seems the mighty jihadis were caught by surprise. Not me. Listening between the words of leftist Israeli journalists interviewed on our Jewish radio stations this week, I was sure the attack was imminent. It’s one of those times when Israel speaks with one voice and acts with one determination. Even the wimpy Olmert government could not dawdle any longer. Only two days ago the Hamasniks were gloating over Israeli indecision. These jihadis operate in closed circuit minds. Once they convince themselves they are winning, they whip up a whirlwind of delusion. Now look at them, battered and bloodied, stunned and dazed, caught in full dress uniform, whining and calling for help.

As Israel stands tall and proud, exercising its sovereignty, European Jews threaten to bomb the carpets in Strasbourg and mow down the sprouts in Brussels if E.U. officials don’t stop spouting off their mouths. Not really. But it’s no more of a joke than the Automated Out of Office Replies registered early this afternoon in the French media. The French presidency of the E.U. is calling for an immediate ceasefire and, incidentally, requesting that Hamas refrain from shooting rockets into Israel. The French presidency of France, no surprise, is making the same inane statement. And so it goes down the line, flutters of indignation from automatic official responders while the real leaders are out to breakfast lunch and dinner in the empty year-end week. Never at a loss for a lie, French media have thrown the U.S. in with the hypocrites under a one size fits all headline claiming that the international community is calling for a ceasefire.  In fact, the U.S. position is radically different. Wishing that Israelis will do their best to avoid civilian casualties, our government more or less told Hamas it got what it was asking for.

This is now. What will happen when the 90lb weakling usurps his seat in the White House? Will we hear European squeak from the next to the last bastion of courage? A few days ago le Figaro descended to new depths with an article about Obama in swim trunks, exclaiming: “What a gorgeous hunk of man!” The only moment of truth in this endless flow of Obamaniac drivel was an article a few weeks ago about how Michelle will certainly be using fashion advisers to get her act together. Though that journalist, too, imagined gorgeous legs and a perfect figure, she did say that the future first lady’s red and black election night dress was not exactly a winner. 

Back to Hamastan. A Metulla News Agency (www.menapress.com for those who read French) release reports that 50 targets were hit simultaneously in the first wave of bombing, scoring 97% of direct hits in the space of 3 minutes. 50 additional targets were hit in the second wave. Most of the command posts, military bases, arms factories, and arsenals were damaged or destroyed. Tunnel personnel came scurrying out of their underground enterprises near the Egyptian border as the bombings shook the earth. Noting that Hamas spokesman Fawzi Baroum gave shooting orders—over the radio-- to rocket launchers near the Israeli border, the Metulla reporter supposes that the military communications network was destroyed. An airstrike against a building where Hamas military and political personnel had just gathered for an emergency meeting indicates, according to the same source, information gathered from human intelligence on the ground. The Metulla News Agency release concludes that Hamas, caught by surprise by “the timing, the scope, and the precision of the attack,” is desperately searching for some civilian victims to display as proof of an Israeli massacre. 

By 5.30 PM, Le Figaro had lined up an impressive list of condemnations. The U.E., Javier Solana, President Sarkozy, PM François Fillon, Ban Ki-Moon, Leila Chahid, Turkey, Mahmoud Abbas, Abdallah of Saudi Arabia, Moubarak, the Arab League, Iran, Ghadaffi, Syria… Le Figaro tucked the U.S. and the U.K. into the list, trying to assimilate them with these accusations of everything from carelessness to war crimes. They must have missed this exchange with Egyptian MFA Ahmed Aboul Gheit, at a Cairo press conference. Asked if he’d known the attack was imminent, About Gheit replied, “Didn’t you? Didn’t you hear the declaration of Tzipi Livin last Thursday?” He said Hamas had been warned, and shouldn’t be surprised at getting what they asked for.

Why? Isn’t Sudan part of the elevated conscience of international opinion?

Hamas leader Mashaal: Launch third intifada

Hamas vows it will not be defeated by IDF operation in Gaza, despite death toll of over 200 in one day. Exiled politburo chief for Islamist group calls on Palestinians to launch another wave of 'resistance' against Israel

After more than 200 fatalities, with scores more wounded, Hamas' politburo chief issued a pointedly aggressive statement.

"I call upon you (Palestinians) to carry out a third intifada," Mashaal, who lives in exile in Damascus, told Al-Jazeera television in an interview.

Mashaal pledged Hamas would respond to Israel's operation in Gaza against the Islamist group. "The time when you were the ones to control the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is over," he said, and vowed that "Gaza will soon be liberated" despite Israel's military superiority.

Here is an account by the BBC, from "the BBC's Rushdi Aboualouf," their man in Gaza (well, Tim Franks is the primary anti-Israel propagandist in Gaza, but Rushdi Abaoulouf  is apparently a member of the local supporting staff), an account meant to be entirely unsympathetic, of course, to Israel and of course meant  to win our sympathy for the "Palestinians" who have done nothing to deserve any of this:

"It's hard to find a secure place in Gaza. Gaza has no shelters, it has no safe places. The Hamas security compounds are in the middle of the city - it's not the kind of place where you see compounds outside the cities.

I have witnessed one of the compounds - which is 20m away from my house - I was standing on the balcony and I have seen the Israeli airplanes hitting the place. "

So what do we learn from his report? That the "security compounds" are deliberately placed "in the middle of the city." It's no different from the anti-aircraft missiles and guns deliberately placed on top of mosques and schools by  the PLO, in Lebanon in 1982, and Hezbollah hiding -- not quite to the extent that the PLO did  -- among civilians as much as possible.

And yet, look what the Israelis did -- the reporter was standing on his balcony, a mere 20 meters from "one of the compounds" and he saw "the Israeli airp[lanes hitting the place" and leaving him, still standiing on his balcony. And why did he stay on his balcony during all this? Because, despite the stories of they wish us all to believe, their own actions and attitudes bespeak their real understanding. They call the Israelis Nazis, but clamor to be treated in Israeli hospitals by those same "Nazis." They call the Israelis murderers, but whenever a group of Arabs wants to flee another group of Arabs -- those "Palestinians" who fled from King Hussein's Bedouin troops during the crackdown on Black September -- they try to ford the Jordan, arms raised, hoping desperately that they will be allowed to surrender to the Israeli "killers."

And here, on his balcony, in the full security of knowing how careful the Israelis are, this Arab reporter stands, and sees the bombing, some twenty meters away, of one of those military targets that the Israelis aimed for, and hit, and once again, showed the world that denounces them -- what other country, anywhere, has engaged in such spectacularly pinpoint bombing designed to spare all but strictly military targets, even with those targets deliberately having been placed smack in the middle of, cheek by jowl with, civilian apartment buildings, schools, hospitals.

Once again the Israeli Air Force amazes.

25 mortar shells pound South as IDF poises for limited Gaza op

Although Israel stepping up its threatening rhetoric on Thursday, Gaza terrorists intensified their attacks, firing at least 25 mortar shells at the South overnight, one of which hit a building in the Eshkol region. No one was wounded in the attacks, but the building was damaged.

Despite the mortar shell fire, Israel began transferring humanitarian aid to Gaza on Friday morning.

The army said the first of an expected 90 trucks started to deliver medicine, fuel, cooking gas and other vital goods to the Strip on Friday.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided Thursday to open the Kerem Shalom and Sufa crossings to allow the transfer of humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

“Hamas is exploiting the weakness of the Israeli government’s response,” Ashkelon Mayor Benny Vaknin said on Israel Army Radio today. The southern Israeli city, which was hit by two rockets from the Gaza Strip, is home to 110,000 people. “I see no explanation for this weakness,” he said.

Hamas members of the Palestinian Legislative Council in Gaza have approved a new bill "to implement Koranic punishments," including hand amputation, crucifixion, corporal punishment and execution. Drinking, owning or producing wine is punished by 40 lashes, while drinking in public adds three months' imprisonment. Several laws are directed against Hamas's Palestinian rivals, including a law intended to inhibit non-Hamas negotiators by sentencing to death anyone who was "appointed to negotiate with a foreign government on a Palestinian issue and negotiated against Palestinians' interest."

 

The following is the description as it appears today on the Al Arabiya website:

Headline: Hamas approves law of punishment by lashes, amputating hands, crucifying, and execution -- in order to implement the Islamic Sharia law.

Hamas members of the Palestinian Legislative Council approved in its meeting in Gaza a new bill proposed by the Hamas who have a majority in the Legislative Council, whose purpose is "to implement Koranic punishments." The newspaper Al Hayat of London reported on Dec. 24, 2008, that this step is seen as unprecedented, and has brought criticism and concern from human rights organizations in the Gaza Strip, especially as this law includes punishments by lashes, cutting off of hands, crucifixion, and execution...

The language of the law proposes "primary and secondary" laws. Primary laws include: "Koranic laws, blood revenge, lashes, crucifixion, and execution ..."
