They were tried by a Pakistani anti-terrorism court, which are generally off limits to the press or other outsiders.

Terrorism cases in Pakistan rarely result in convictions or prison sentences. Police often lack basic investigative skills, prosecutors lack training in terror cases and judges and witnesses are often subject to intimidation.

Pakistani security officials have also been accused by human rights groups of holding suspects for months, even years without filing charges or divulging any information about their cases.

Two other men arrested by Pakistan in the wake of the Times Square incident were previously released.

The U.S. has long pressed Pakistan to crack down on militants within its borders, both militarily and through the courts.

"Allahu Akbar" -- Arabic for "God is great" -- after the judge sentenced Muslim terrorist Faisal Shahzad to the mandatory life imprisonment.

"Brace yourself because the war with the Muslims has only just begun," he told the judge before he was sentenced during the 30-minute hearing. "The defeat of the US is imminent and will happen in the near future."

Life in prison for this devout and pious Muslim who attempted to detonate a 275 pound bomb on a Saturday night in Manhattan's Theater district, in Times Square teeming with humanity. He should have been executed. His six life sentences will run concurrently (Faisal was pleased with this saying, "I am happy with the deal") -- does this mean he is eligible for parole? And if so, when?

Faisal considers himself, in his own words, "a Muslim soldier."

A secret FBI test of a correctly made version of the Times Square bomb revealed that it "would have killed thousands of people" if it had been made to explode as terrorists had intended, law-enforcement sources told The Post yesterday.

Had he built the Times Square device the way he had originally intended to, terrorist Faisal Shahzad, would have turned his SUV and nearby vehicles into a fatal spray of razor-sharp fragments and transformed building windows into glass guillotines hurtling to the streets, cutting down hundreds of people walking by.

Failed Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad was sentenced this morning to life behind bars for trying to set-off a parked car full of explosives.

A defiant Shahzad said "Allahu Akbar" -- Arabic for "God is great" -- after the judge sentenced him to the mandatory life imprisonment.

"Brace yourself because the war with the Muslims has only just begun," he told the judge before he was sentenced during the 30-minute hearing. "The defeat of the US is imminent and will happen in the near future."

Shahzad, 31, a married father of two and naturalized American citizen who lived in Bridgeport, Conn., had pleaded guilty on June 21 in Manhattan federal court to 10 felonies, including international terrorism and trying to use a weapon of mass destruction.

When Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum asked Shahzad, who was sporting a beard, that he was an American citizen and that he had sworn an oath, he replied, "I did swear, but I didn't mean it."

The judge handed Shahzad six life sentences -- to run concurrently -- for his crimes.

"So, I am happy with the deal," a smirking Shahzad said.

At one point, Cedarbaum argued with the unrepentant Shahzad.

“You appear to be someone who was capable of education and I do hope you will spend some of the time in prison thinking carefully about whether the Koran wants you to kill lots of people,” she told Shahzad.

Shahzad responded that the Koran "gives us the right to defend. And that’s all I’m doing.”

Cedarbaum told Shahzad that the time he spends in the slammer could be used to re-think "whether the Koran wants you to kill lots of people."

The courtroom was packed with marshals and other security as Shahzad was led away in handcuffs.

The feds have said that Shahzad put together an improvised car bomb -- a 1993 Pathfinder fitted with 250 pounds of ammonium nitrate and diesel fuel, three 25-pound propane tanks and two five-gallon gasoline canisters -- that failed to ignite.

Bomb experts who have studied Shahzad's design before using it to build a working model say clearly demonstrated his deadly intent.

"Had the bombing played out as Shahzad had so carefully planned, the lives of numerous residents and visitors of the city would have been lost and countless others would have been forever traumatized," prosecutors wrote in court papers.

"It definitely would have been bigger than [the 1995] Oklahoma City" bombing of the federal building that killed 168 people, the source said. "There would have been a lot of casualties."

"People would also have been stomped to death from running away. It would have been panic. The buildings would have been severely damaged."

One source added: "If you look at the four corners [near the bomb] that night, there could easily be 500 people between 20 to 30 feet from the car.

"Any car going down that block or parked nearby would have been turned into fragments, because that SUV's going to rip apart those cars. More people get killed by the fragments than the actual explosion."

Shahzad's homemade bomb -- on which he substituted less effective, cheaper components for the more expensive and deadly components he had planned to use -- was left in the back seat of his parked SUV in the middle of Times Square, where it smoldered but failed to detonate.

Street vendors noticed the smoke and alerted police. The cops quickly evacuated the tourist-packed area as they dismantled the device.

FAISAL SHAHZAD, THE FAILED TIMES SQUARE BOMBER, exemplifies the legacy of Islam in the world today. It wasn't Faisal Shahzad who planted a fizzled bomb in Times Square; it was the unseen hand of Islamic theology and hegemony, using Shazad as a willing zombie, devoid of conscience or responsibility for his murderous acts. “So you did not slay them, but it was Allah Who slew them, and you did not smite when you smote (the enemy), but it was Allah Who smote." So says the Quran. And the Quran cannot be questioned.

The first sentence of Shahzad’s recently published email explains the totality of his motivation: "If something from what I wrote doesn't correspond with Quran and Sunnah then I renounce it and I ask Allah's forgiveness due to my ignorance." That's what passes for rationality in Islam.

Shahzad is just one of many millions of Muslims who have submitted entirely to "the will of Allah." That is the first requirement of becoming a Muslim. The very word Muslim means “one who submits.” After that there is no need for conscience. There is no responsibility for one's actions, except that they "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah"—Islamic theology. There is no need for empirical observation. There is no room for rationalism. There is only slavish obedience to Islamic theology, and to any whim, however abominable, that can be interpreted as “the will of Allah.”

That's why Fizzled Faisal felt perfectly fine about planting a bomb in New York City and praying to Allah that it would murder or maim as many innocent men, women, and children as possible. It was, after all, the unseen hand of Allah guiding his thoughts and actions. Shahzad’s attempt, and the attendant prayers to succeed in killing and maiming innocent people, all "correspond with the Quran and Sunnah," as he put it.

To a rational mind, that not only is the epitome of ignorance, it's the act of a homicidal maniac. It's curious, though, that so many homicidal maniacs find a welcoming brotherhood in Islam—the ummah, or community of Muslims—and find in Islamic theology "divine" justification for all of their perverse and criminal and murderous impulses.

Almost any conduct that civilized people recognize to be degraded, depraved, criminal, or brutal can be found to "correspond with the Quran and Sunnah": murder, beheading, stoning, hanging, dismemberment, pedophelia, wife beating, slavery, betrayal, lying, stealing, persecution, terrorism, torture—all are recorded as models of righteous conduct in Islamic theology.

These very acts of barbarism are being played out every day in Islamic countries and enclaves around the world. Faisal the Failure is no "radical" Muslim; he is a model Muslim, doing just what the Islamic theology tells him he has every right to do—and not just the right, but the obligation.

In order to become a citizen of the United States, Faisal the False swore an oath "to support and defend the Constitution and all laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

He lied, and he knew he was lying, and he didn't care one bit. After all, Islamic theology tells him it's perfectly holy and righteous to lie to kaffirs—non-Muslims—if it serves the purposes of Islam. Such is the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya. Shahzad admitted his willful duplicity in his own email: "Why do you have to follow Democracy (Human made Laws) if you're already given Laws revealed from Allah, Quran and Sunnah."

Those "laws revealed from Allah, Quran and Sunnah" are called Sharia, and, obviously, if you're Muslim and have Sharia law, you don't have to follow human made laws at all. You can spit on the Constitution. Fertilizer Faisal did. And as does Faisal, so does Islam.

It should come as no surprise that Shahzad acted "in violation of the laws of the United States." Our laws are meaningless to any real Muslim, like Shahzad, whose life and actions "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah." Of course there are many millions of dilettantes who pay lip service to being Muslims, and go through the superficial rituals, but are almost entirely ignorant of what those source documents of Islam actually say.

In fact, while many leading Islamic clerics insist that the Quran cannot be understood properly at all except in the original Arabic, the vast majority of Muslims the world over cannot read Arabic, and, indeed, a large percentage of those counted as “Muslims” in the world are illiterate even in their native tongues, relying on what they are told about Islam.

But Shahzad and suicide bombers and Universal Jihadists and Islamic terror organizations and Osama bin-Laden and their ilk are the real Muslims, devout Muslims, orthodox Muslims. Those are the true face of Literal Islam. Those are its true ambassadors. Those are the keepers of the faith exactly according to Islamic law.

Another real Muslim is Faisal's "inspiration" and mentor, Anwar al-Awlaki, the U.S.-born terrorist hiding out in Yemen, who said: "Fighting in the cause of Allah is an obligation." The endless fighting is a given—for any real Muslim (not a "peace be upon you" pretender) who knows and follows Islamic theology as it is written:

Islamic holy man Anwar al-Awlki (who was arrested several times for soliciting prostitutes) also said, "Establishing Islamic Sharia [law] is an obligation." There's no question that establishing Sharia law is an obligation—if one wants to "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah," as Shahzad did.

And Islam's Sharia law doesn't just spit on the Constitution—it forbids its very existence. Sharia law forbids trial by jury. Sharia law forbids due process. Sharia law forbids our Congress. Sharia law forbids our President. Sharia law forbids our Supreme Court. Sharia law forbids freedom of the press. Sharia law forbids freedom of speech. Sharia law forbids freedom of religion.

Sharia law forbids the United States of America.

NEW YORK – Calling himself a Muslim soldier, a defiant Pakistan-born U.S. citizen pleaded guilty Monday to carrying out the failed Times Square car bombing and left a sinister warning that unless the U.S. leaves Muslim lands alone, "we will be attacking U.S."

Faisal Shahzad entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Manhattan just days after a federal grand jury indicted him on 10 terrorism and weapons counts, some of which carry mandatory life sentences. He pleaded guilty to them all.

Widely circulated snapshots of Shahzad — a U.S.-trained financial analyst and married father of two — show him with a neatly trimmed beard, all smiles and looking carefree behind sunglasses or with his American wife. When led into court Monday, he had on a white skull cap and prisoner's uniform, his beard shaggy and his demeanor serious.

U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum challenged Shahzad repeatedly with questions such as whether he looked at the people in Times Square, especially the children, to see who they were or whether he really built the bomb by himself. He repeatedly insisted he acted without help from others in the U.S. and built the bomb "all by myself."

"One has to understand where I'm coming from," Shahzad said calmly. "I consider myself ... a Muslim soldier."

The 30-year-old described his effort to set off a bomb in an SUV he parked in Times Square on May 1, saying he chose the warm Saturday night because it would be crowded with people he could injure or kill. He said he conspired with the Pakistan Taliban, which provided more than $15,000 to fund his operation and five days of explosives training late last year and early this year, just months after he became a U.S. citizen.

Feds raid radical Islamic center owned by terror front

It remains a mystery: Where did the alleged Times Square terrorist – a Muslim man with an apparent zeal for Islam – go to mosque?

The Council on American-Islamic Relations says it surveyed the mosques in suspect Faisal Shahzad's home state of Connecticut and concluded Shahzad did not worship at any of them and therefore was not religious.

"I've asked everyone, 'Have you seen this person, have you heard of this person?'" said Mongi Dhaouadi, spokesman for CAIR's Connecticut chapter. "And the answer is 'no.'"

WND, however, has learned that federal agents investigating the alleged car bomber paid a visit to a radical mosque in Bridgeport, Conn., with ties to terrorism. Shahzad has lived in the Bridgeport area for nearly a decade.

FBI agents questioned leaders of the Masjid An-Noor, also known as the Bridgeport Islamic Society, after arresting Shahzad on terrorism charges.

The mosque serves a sizable population of Pakistani immigrants in the area, and Shahzad, recently naturalized as a U.S. citizen, was born and raised in Pakistan.

The front group, North American Islamic Trust, holds title to the large Bridgeport mosque. NAIT is the financial arm of the Islamic Society of North America. Both entities have been blacklisted by the U.S. government as unindicted co-conspirators in a criminal plot to underwrite Palestinian terrorism, including suicide bombings that have killed Americans.

NAIT also holds the deed to Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center, the large mosque outside Washington where the Fort Hood terrorist and some of the 9/11 hijackers worshipped.

This radical custodian of the Bridgeport Islamic Society also publishes and distributes jihadi literature that exhorts Muslims to "kill" any Westerners who get in the way of spreading Islam, as WND has previously reported.

"No political system or material power should put hindrances in the way of preaching Islam," asserts one Islamic book distributed by NAIT. "If someone does this, then it is the duty of Islam to fight him until either he is killed or until he declares his submission."

Despite the left wing dhimmi media's losing all credibility after having first broadcast that the Times Square jihadi had to be a tea partier, and then a casualty of Bush's failed economic policies (4.5% unemployment), the dhimmi media then, when jihad was clearly the motive, said that he was a lone bomber angry at US policies in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have no shame in their contempt for the truth and for their low estimation of the intelligence of the American people. 

Now comes this, the White House says Pakistan Taliban is behind the Times Square bomb.

Obama says there will be "severe consequences." Like what? More aid and a strongly worded billet doux?

White House says Pakistan Taliban behind NY bomb

WASHINGTON – Citing new evidence, senior White House officials said Sunday that the Pakistani Taliban was behind the failed Times Square bombing.

The finding is a reversal for the Obama administration, which had downplayed potential links to overseas terrorist groups in the immediate aftermath of the attack. It also raises new questions about the U.S. relationship with Pakistan, which is widely known to have al-Qaida and other terrorist groups operating within its borders.

Attorney General Eric Holder said that new evidence shows that the Pakistani Taliban was "intimately involved" in the bombing plot. John Brennan, the president's homeland security and counterterrorism adviser, made similar remarks, linking the bomber to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP.

The militant group is believed to be hiding senior al-Qaida leaders, including Osama bin Laden.

"We know that they helped facilitate it," said Holder. "We know that they probably helped finance it. And that he was working at their direction."

A U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent, Faisal Shahzad is accused of spending five months in Pakistan before returning to the United States in February and preparing his attack.

Shahzad has told investigators that he trained in the lawless tribal areas of Waziristan, where both al-Qaida and the Pakistani Taliban operate. He was arrested aboard an Emirates Airlines jet in New York just minutes before it was scheduled to take off for Dubai.

After the attack, U.S. officials said they were exploring potential links to terrorist groups overseas but cited the bomb's lack of sophistication as an indication that Shahzad was acting alone.

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, told NBC News that "at this point I have no information that it's anything other than a one-off." Likewise, Gen. David Petraeus told The Associated Press that Shahzad apparently operated as a "lone wolf."

Brennan said on Sunday that the attempted bombing shows that the capability of overseas terrorist organizations is being degraded.

"They now are relegated to trying to do these unsophisticated attacks, showing that they have inept capabilities in training," he said.

The link between an attack on U.S. soil and terrorist groups operating inside Pakistan opens up a new chapter in relations between the two countries. Until recently, administration officials have said they thought Islamabad was doing all it could.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said last week that there would be "severe consequences" if the attack were traced back to Pakistan and that the South Asian country could do more.

Accused Times Square Bomber Faisal Shahzad linked up with the Pakistani Taliban through the internet, ABC News has been told by law enforcement and intelligence sources close to the investigation. Once the Taliban identified him as more valuable in the U.S. than in Pakistan, they trained him to return to execute his bomb attack.

But according to these sources, Shahzad also had a web of jihadist contacts that included big names tied to terror attacks in the U.S. and abroad, including the figure who has emerged as a central figure in many recent domestic terror attempts - radical American-born Muslim cleric Anwar Awlaki.

Besides Awlaki, sources say Shahzad was also linked to a key figure in the Pakistani Taliban, its Emir Beitullah Mehsud, who was killed in a drone missile strike in 2009. The Mehsuds had been family friends of Shahzad, who is the son of a former high-ranking Pakistani military officer.

The tricky business of defending the nation while building a court case.

The Obama administration strongly prefers the law-enforcement model, and that is how the Times Square case is being handled. Though I believe the military process should be our default choice during wartime, the administration should be cut some slack in this case. There are things to criticize, and the case bears close watching. Knee-jerk derision, though, would be a mistake.

AMERICAN CITIZEN ENEMIES
In two critical ways, this case is different from the attempted Christmas bombing. First, the man who has been apprehended, Faisal Shahzad, is an American citizen. Christmas terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was not. Second, there was very strong evidence that Abdulmutallab was an al-Qaeda operative. We don’t have that sort of intelligence on Shahzad at this point.

The citizenship complication is a big deal. About a year ago, Shahzad became a naturalized American. National-security conservatives are thus pointing to Ex Parte Quirin (1942), the World War II saboteurs case in which the Supreme Court upheld the military detention, trial, and execution of an American citizen. Like his seven German confederates, Herbert Hans Haupt was clearly a Nazi operative sent to the United States to commit acts of terrorism. Further, in the 2004 Hamdi case, the justices reaffirmed the validity of military detention for Yaser Esam Hamdi, an American citizen captured on a foreign battlefield fighting for al-Qaeda.

[Faisal Shahzad] defaulted on a $200,000 mortgage on his Connecticut home and the Shelton property is now in foreclosure, according to court records. The foreclosure records show Faisal Shahzad took out the mortgage in 2004, and that he co-owned the home with a woman named Huma Mian. Chase Home Finance LLC sued Shahzad, 30, in September to force the foreclosure. The case is pending in Milford Superior Court. (here)

Records obtained by Fox News show Huma Asif Mian, Faisal Shahzad's wife, has relatives listed at various addresses in Colorado. The addresses include apartment leases and a property deed in Aurora, Colo., and an apartment lease in Golden, Colo., that were held on-and-off from 2003 to March of this year.

A person who answered the phone at the Golden address listed in the records refused to answer questions on Tuesday and instead asked a series of questions about how Fox News obtained the address, phone number and other information related to the case.

Zazi, the would-be subway bomber, returned to the U.S. from Pakistan after receiving bomb training and lived in Aurora from January 2009 to July 31, 2009. He then traveled to New York City, according to the information contained in his indictment, where he attempted the failed subway bombing. He and several relatives had lived in an apartment off Smoky Hill Road in Aurora, about seven miles from the address of an apartment associated with Shahzad's wife.

Attorney General Eric Holder, asked if there is any link between Shahzad and Zazi, said at a press conference Tuesday afternoon: "No comment on that. I don't have any basis to believe at least at this point that there's any connection between the two."

Pakistan makes arrests connected to NYC bomb attempt

(ISLAMABAD, May 4 (Reuters) - Pakistani police arrested several people on Tuesday in connection with the failed Times Square car bomb attack in New York, security sources said.

"We have picked up a few family members" related to Faisal Shahzad, the chief suspect in the attempted attack, a security official in Karachi said. A friend of Shahzad was also arrested.

Shahzad, a 30-year-old Pakistani-American, was arrested late on Monday at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York after being removed from a plane as it was about take off for Dubai, U.S. officials said. [nN04129610]

Another intelligence official in Pakistan said Shahzad received militant training in northwest Pakistan near the garrison town of Kohat. The area around Kohat is a stronghold of Tariq Afridi, the Pakistani Taliban commander in the region.

Shahzad will appear in Manhattan federal court later on Tuesday to face charges "for allegedly driving a car bomb into Times Square on the evening of May 1", according to a statement by U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, FBI agent George Venizelos and New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN: "Don't give this guy his Miranda rights until we find out what it's all about," McCain said on a radio show this morning.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said this morning it would be a "mistake" to read the 30-year-old naturalized American citizen his Miranda rights, which inform a suspect of their right to avoid self-incrimination.

"Don't give this guy his Miranda rights until we find out what it's all about," McCain said on a radio show this morning.

Pistole said that joint terrorism task force agents and officers from the New York Police Department interviewed Shahzad last night and early this morning before reading him his Miranda rights and that he was "cooperative" and provided "valuable intelligence and evidence."

"He was Mirandized later and continued to cooperate and provide valuable information," he added.

Republicans similarly criticized the Obama administration for reading Miranda rights to "underwear bomber" Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who was charged for attempting to blow up an airplane on Christmas Day last year. Abdulmutallab, who is not an American citizen, was also read his Miranda rights after he had been interrogated.

New York (CNN) -- Authorities hunting for the suspect in the botched Times Square bombing dramatically beat the clock overnight, seizing a Pakistani-American citizen moments before he was set to begin a long trip to his strife-torn homeland.

Faisal Shahzad, 30, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. ET Monday at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, said Attorney General Eric Holder.

President Obama said Tuesday that "justice will be done" in the case and that U.S. officials "will do everything in our power to protect the American people."

The failed bombing is "another sobering reminder of the times in which we live," Obama told an audience of business leaders. But the United States "will be vigilant" and "will not cower in fear."

The SUV was filled with propane tanks, fireworks, filled gas cans, clocks with batteries, and two clocks with batteries, electric wire and more. A police official said: “It looks as if the perp was trying to light it up, and was interrupted by the cops, panicked and took off. It looked like someone tried to detonate it and we got to it in time. This is a big deal. It has the makings of a real car bomb.” A police officer who was on the scene said: “I did a lap around the vehicle. The inside was smoking. I smelled gunpowder and knew it might blow. I thought it might blow any second.”

Despite all that, the feds said at first that it wasn’t a terrorist attack. Then what was it?

That line was so absurd in this case that they had to change their tune, and fast. Now New York Governor Paterson and even DHS Secretary Janet “Nudnik” Napolitano are saying it was a terrorist attack attempt. Said Napolitano: “We’re taking this very seriously. We’re treating it as if it could be a potential terrorist attack.” But everyone was saying that they had no idea who was behind it. Police are now searching for a “white man” – a search the mainstream media is playing up big, hoping that the terrorist will turn out to be a non-Muslim. As if there are no white Muslims! Tell that to the North Carolina jihadis arrested last year.

But for Barack Obama and his gang there are no jihadis at all. Granny at the Tea Party is the real terrorist threat as far as they’re concerned.

The mainstream media also at first dismissed the gravity of the failed Times Square bomb as “amateurish.” Many headlines led with this angle. This, yet again, reflected the nonsensical and lethal “logic” of our news gatherers. It was ridiculous on its face. Saturday night in Times Square is teeming with humanity. Thousands of people could have been hurt, many killed, and now officials are admitting that: New York police commissioner Ray Kelly said, “If this had detonated, it would have caused casualties, a significant fireball, and would have ripped the vehicle in half.”

Bloomberg said there was no evidence that the bomber was affiliated with any terrorist organizations. How does he know that? Let’s assume for a moment that this car bomb was Islamic jihad. Whether the bomber was loosely tied to an organization or was a lone jihadi, what’s the difference if the motivation was the same? How many soldiers of Allah (a moniker on Fort Hood’s jihadist Major Nidal Hasan business card) are playing with bombs in their basements right now, and have nothing to do with al-Qaeda or the Taliban?

Even worse, their motivation is indirectly sanctioned by the Obama administration, by its silence and refusal to address (or even speak of) Islamic jihad. Has Obama apologized for the theater district yet, or has he written another big fat check to Pakistan or the Palestinian Authority or some other jihad-supporting entity?

Fort Hood Jihadi, a devout Muslim, had "Palestinian" Parents, Admired Homicide Bombers

What we know:

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan is a U.S. citizen whose parents are Palestinians from the West Bank, according to the Washington Post.

He wrote Allah on his door, according to a neighbor, in Arabic. Allah on the door.

Hasan was put on probation early in his postgraduate work at the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He was disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues, according to the source, who worked with him at the time. NPR

Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case.

One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades. (more here)

He was happy about the Muslim solider who shot and killed a soldier and wounded another at a Little Rock Military recruiting station. Hasan said Muslims should rise up against the aggressors. Maybe we should have more of these.....strapping bombs on and going into Times Square".

The officials had access to Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's military record. They said he received a poor performance evaluation while at Walter Reed.

They promoted him to major. Jihadi Malik should have been removed from military service. Yes, the lawsuits would have been flying, but so what? Those great Americans would still be alive.

This was "not the act of a crazy". This was not the random act of a nutcase. It was execution style, close range. He shot 44 - 50 rounds - that's a lot of ammunition to come out of those two guns in such a short period of time. This was premeditated. "A deliberate act of execution of the largest army base in America".

Neighbors say he was giving away his possessions this morning and PASSING OUT QURANS. Newscaster: "he was proud of his religion".

NidalHasan scribbled: There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that "IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE" and Allah (SWT) knows best.

Their blood is on the hands of Islamic apologists, dhimmis, media, the weak, and lily livered politicians. The media spin on this massacre is another form of attack on America.

UPDATE: CAIR is spinning like a washing machine on steroids. At their press conference this evening they spun the post traumatic syndrome (even though Hasan was never in Iraq - helloooo).  The media is eating this nonsensical cud right up. This is jihad.

On Thursday night, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad told a news conference the alleged Fort Hood attacker's motive remained unknown.

"We urge all Americans to remain calm in reaction to this tragic event and to demonstrate once again what is best about America -- our nation's ability to remain unified even in times of crisis," Awad said. "We urge national political and religious leaders and media professionals to set a tone of calm and unity.

"Unfortunately, based on past experience, we also urge American Muslims, and those who may be perceived to be Muslim, to take appropriate precautions to protect themselves, their families and their religious institutions from possible backlash." (Rantburg)
