FOX Feeds the Jew haters: Creating Anti-israel Propaganda

Did anyone just catch that anti-semitic segment on FOX evening news with Chris Wallace? Earth to FOX - your anti-Israel bias is showing. Reena Ninan is reporting on a very small protest in the Israeli village Naalin (in Judea/Samaria, where a fence is being built to keep out "Palestinian" Islamic homicide bombers). Why FOX is covering this asshattery while ignoring the brutal slaughter in Iran (and Somalia, Sudan, blah blah blah) is transparent. The violent "peace" agitators (made up of Israeli "peace" activists and "Palestinian" Muslims) at this "protest" were hurling rocks and had stopped the work on the fence - so the Israeli security forces sprayed some harmless smelly repellent (think skunk)  into the crowd as well as tear gas. See photo right, that's the whole protest (agitators and security) at its height - this is AP, they always try to make it look worse.  So you can see, it's a non-event and in the FOX video it's even less people.

Why doesn't FOX cover protests in NYC (that are ten times, twenty times the size) against Chavez, Ahmadinejad, or Iran? They don't. I know, I cover them. They ain't there.

Back to the manufactured news story in Israel: drama queen Reena Ninan starts coughing and acting like she is in some kind of jeopardy. This is called full-of-shitnik press. Did she actually expect us to believe she was in danger at any time? No one was hurt. She is there filming, for heaven's sake. In Israel, no safer place for a journalist. Can the same access be had in Muslim countries?

Why isn't the brave Ninan covering the hi-tech security system the Saudis are building, including a fence, around the whole of its 9,000 kilometer border? She should go to Saudi Arabia and dress up in a cloth coffin type garment, aka burka, and cover the story.

Why isn't diva Ninan in Iran? Why isn't brave and tough Ninan covering how the authorities handle protesters in Iran? What clownish antics. And FOX did an entire segment on this non-news item just to make the Jews look bad. If I can get the video, I'll post. If you see it, send.

Not one word on Chris Wallace's Special Reports (filling in for Bret Baier) on the thousands that returned to the streets in Iran today and yesterday and were shot, killed beaten. Not a word. Got it?

Is FOX trying to more like CNN? FOX was chasing CNN's trail last week in the Michael Jackson coverage.

Watch the asshats talk aboout the "violence" (no one was hurt) in the "Palestinian" territories (no it's Israel, Judea and Samaria is Israel). Meghan Kelly squawking "unbelievable tape, Reena",  and Kelley further destroying her credibility by spouting "that was the Israeli military unleashing that, on these Palestinian protesters". You have to watch and know that at the same time the mullahs are going after protesters with axes, batons and  guns, today. Has Meghan Kelly seen this Iran: The Revolution or spoken in any depth of Neda.

Media Laps Up Obama's Weak and Hopelessly Naive Capitulation to Russia

Who can forget how the media derided and mocked George W. Bush when, after a 2001 visit, he said of Vladimir Putin, "I looked the man in the eye. I was able to get a sense of his soul, a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country."

They pounded him relentlessly. Six years later the NY Times was still running headlines like Mr. Bush Gets Another Look into Putin's eyes.

So it is amusing to watch the media cows groveling at Obama groveling to an evil despot (note, in the article, the media is still blaming Bush). Am I the only American who winces in embarrassment when Obama does his ass kissing/apology tours?

Obama Lauds Putin’s ‘Extraordinary Work’ in Visit to Mend Ties

July 7 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. President Barack Obama lauded Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for his service to Russia, continuing a three-day push to overcome the animosities of the George W. Bush era.

“I am aware of not only the extraordinary work you have done on behalf of the Russian people in your previous role as prime minister -- as president -- but in your current role as prime minister,” Obama told Putin.

Yes, invading Georgia was an extraordinary moment. He appears weak and easily beatable. The man is groveling to Russia. I am going to puke.

Obama has accomplished worse than nothing. He abandoned our allies in the region as he dumps a desperately needed missile defense plan for Poland.

When queried in his press conference with Mededev by Ben Feller of the Associated Press as to whether he trusted his Russian counterpart and whether he believed he's truly in charge, Obama said:

"I trust President Medvedev"

On the matter of whether Prime Minister and former President Vladimir Putin is really calling the shots, Obama was even more simpering.

"My understanding is that President Medvedev is the president. Prime Minister Putin is the prime minister. And they allocate power in accordance with Russia's form of government, in the same way that we allocate power in the United States," he said.

Obama wishes.

Could you imagine if Bush had displayed such stupidity and naivete? They would have ripped Bush to shreds. Trust Medvedev. What asshattery. Groveling to Putin. This 8 years after Bush "looked into Putin's eyes". So eight years later, we know what he is.

Putin is a KGB thug who has assassinated numerous journalists. Does Obama admire Putin's war in Grozny? He trusts Medvedev? Wow. I mean just wow. There really is no word for this kind of stupidity. It's more than stupidity, it's just evil. The only nuclear reduction the Russians will undertake is selling more of their weapons to America's enemies.

Washington Post sells access, White House denies involvement

The Washington Post has long prided itself on its access to the capital's elite. Now, it appears, the paper is willing to sell that access.

In a flier circulated to Beltway lobbyists, the Post touted a "salon" program which gives "exclusive access" to "Obama administration officials, Congress members, business leaders, advocacy leaders and other select minds" for between $25,000 and $250,000.

White House officials said privately Thursday that the administration had no idea that the Post was peddling access to its officials.

After news of the salon program broke and received wide circulation on the Internet, the Post canceled them.

"This should never have happened. The fliers got out and weren't vetted," Weymouth told her paper. "They didn't represent at all what we were attempting to do. We're not going to do any dinners that would impugn the integrity of the newsroom."

IRAN: The Silence of the Media

I have a piece today in the Canada Free Press on the perfidy of the media in their lack of coverage of the Iranian revolution. This historic event has cataclysmic implications for the course of human events; instead, the media obsesses over the cocktail of drugs has-been Michael Jackson was using to assuage the pain of his oh so tragic life. Ugh.

Despite Obama’s passivity, Iran and its henchmen are blaming America for the uprising. Hezbollah’s deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said Thursday: “The extent of Western and American involvement in Iran’s internal affairs is now clear. What is going on in Iran is not a simple protest against the results of the presidential election. As that regime strikes back hard, I do not believe the movement has been quelled, but I do believe it has been silenced. And this is partly due to the failure of the Western media. The mainstream media fearlessly took on Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney. They were so tough on those who didn’t share their ideological views. They had no fear of those they ridiculed, marginalized, tongue lashed mercilessly. Who can forget how they climbed all over each other to get embedded into Iraq so that they could make America look terrible?

But when it came to really doing their job, they have been absent on Iran. Why weren’t they clamoring to get into Iran to cover an historic, cataclysmic event? CNN has been the only news network to cover Iran in any depth. FOX has been negligent in its lack of coverage. Left leaning sites on the Internet have been leading the way – notably the Huffington Post, whose reporter Nico Pitney has been almost a singular voice in speaking up for the Iranian protesters. And blogs like Revolutionary Road and Get Honest Third Eye deserve commendation for doing the job the mainstream media has not been doing. Get Honest Third Eye had the first video that showed an Iranian being shot on camera by government officials. The shooting occurs while the person filming is quite far away, but the video then shows closer images of his body.

It is indelible images like those that reveal the full horror of what has been going on in Iran. But now, Iran’s citizen journalists have gone dark. The tweets are not coming in. “New” twitters, pro-Ahmadinejad (twitters with ironic names like “antifascista”) have been tweeting vile propaganda. The media can talk about Michael Jackson all day, with no news coming out of Iran to distract them.

The only losers are those who are yearning to be free.

CAIR AND THE SCIENCE OF PROPAGANDA

Playing on the "secret prison" meme - what secret?  We are talking about them(!).  CAIR promotes the work of a little known leftist blogger who fantasizes about "secret US prisons".

Citing this little known left wing blog, they send a factually incorrect piece that leftwing blogs pick up and run with as if it were the god's truth. The science of propaganda -- you'll notice the big welcome to all the leftwing blogs that linked this asshattery.

Secretive U.S. Prison Units Used to House Muslim, Animal Rights and Environmental Activists

The government is using secretive prison facilities on U.S. soil, called Communication Management Units, to house inmates accused of being tied to “terrorism” groups. They overwhelmingly include Muslim inmates, along with at least two animal rights and environmental activists.

Accused? No these are convicted prisoners. CONVICTS.  Since when do convicts get to pick their prisons?

Little information is available about the secretive facilities and the prisoners housed there. However, through interviews with attorneys, family members, and a current prisoner, it is clear that these units have been created not for violent and dangerous “terrorists,” but for political cases that the government would like to keep out of the public spotlight and out of the press.

OPENED QUIETLY AND PERHAPS ILLEGALLY

"Quietly" -- what did he want? A parade down Fifth Avenue? "Illegally" - so says the red now green blogger. Meanwhile we are reading all about it.

In April of 2006, the Department of Justice proposed a new set of rules to restrict the communication of “terrorist” inmates. The proposal did not make it far, though: during the required public comment period, the ACLU and other civil rights groups raised Constitutional concerns. The program was too sweeping, they said, and it could wrap up non-terrorists and those not even convicted of a crime.

The Bureau of Prisons dropped the proposal. Or so it seemed. Just a few months later, a similar program (now called the Communication Management Unit, or CMU), was quietly opened by the Justice Department at Terre Haute, Ind.

Then, in May of 2008, a handful of inmates were moved, without warning, to what is believed to be the second CMU in the country, at Marion, Il.

Both CMUs are “self-contained” housing units, according to prison documents, for prisoners who “require increased monitoring of communication” in order to “protect the public.”

WHO IS HOUSED AT CMUs?

The CMUs are less restrictive than, say, ADX Florence, the notorious supermax prison for the most dangerous inmates. The supermax holds al-Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui and Unabomber Theodore J. Kaczynski.

CMU inmates stand in sharp contrast to the Moussaouis and Kaczynskis of the world, though.

There are millions of Moussaouis but only one Kaczynski. How do you equate the two?

They include Rafil A. Dhafir, an Iraqi-born physician who created a charity called Help the Needy to provide food and medicine to the people of Iraq suffering under the U.S.-imposed economic sanctions. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison for violating the sanctions.

Translation: He was sentenced to 22 years by a jury of his peers. In February 2005 Dhafir was convicted of 59 out of 60 charges. Dhafir had run an unregistered (and unaudited) charity, "Help the Needy". The 59 convictions included:

• not recording the $400,000 of his own money that he contributed to the fund
• using a portion of the funds he collected to aid needy for his own benefit
• circumventing the laws against sending funds to Iraq, without a license
• defrauding Medicare

Five other people, including his wife, had already pleaded guilty before him. “There were charges of money laundering, tax evasion, mail and wire fraud, but also Medicare fraud. His wife was the billing manager in his medical office."

They include Daniel McGowan, an environmental activist sentenced to seven years in prison for a string of property crimes in the name of defending the environment. He was previously at FCI-Sandstone, a low-security facility, and was transferred without notice to the CMU, and told it was not for any disciplinary reason.
And, until recently, they included Andrew Stepanian. Stepanian was convicted of conspiring to commit “animal enterprise terrorism” and shut down the notorious animal testing laboratory Huntingdon Life Sciences, in a landmark First Amendment case pending appeal. The government’s case focused on a controversial website run by an activist group that published news of both legal and illegal actions against the laboratory. He was sentenced to three years in prison, and is currently on house arrest in New York City. Stepanian is believed to be the first prisoner ever released from a CMU.

VIOLATION OF DUE PROCESS RIGHTS

Attorneys and prisoners have said that inmates are transferred to the CMUs without notice and without opportunity to challenge their new designation, in what seems to be a clear violation of their due process rights.

For many inmates in federal prisons, phone calls, mail and visits are flecks of light in the darkness.

Prisoners transferred without notice? So what? Who died and made them the Queen of England? They broke the law.

“No one got a hearing to determine whether we should or should not be transferred here,” said Daniel McGowan in a letter from the CMU in Marion, Ill.

Similarly, Rafil A. Dhafir said in a letter to his family from the CMU in Terre Haute, Ind., that he was put in isolation for two days before the move. “No one seems to know about this top-secret operation until now,” he wrote. “It is still not fully understood… The staff here is struggling to make sense of the whole situation.”

“We are told this is an experiment,” Dhafir says. “So the whole concept is evolving on a daily basis.”

OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND

The CMU “experiment” limits prisoner contact with the outside world through a list of restrictive policies. According to prison documents giving a skeleton of CMU policies, called institution supplements,

The creation of secret facilities to primarily house Muslim inmates accused of non-violent charges, along with a couple animal rights and environmental activists, marks both a continuation and a radical expansion of the “War on Terrorism.”

First, it is a continuation of the “terrorism” crackdown that Arab and Muslim communities have intensely experienced since September 11th.

Guantanamo Bay may be closing. But as Jeanne Theoharis beautifully wrote recently: “Guantánamo is not simply an aberration; its closure will not return America to the rule of law or to its former standing among nations. Guantánamo is a particular way of seeing the Constitution, of constructing the landscape as a murky terrain of lurking enemies where the courts become part of the bulwark against such dangers, where rights have limits and where international standards must be weighed against national security.” 

Nuts.

James von Brunn was charged Thursday for the Holocaust Museum shooting, and new reports suggest his anti-Semitism was tied to theories about Obama that flourish on the Web. Why von Brunn’s network of online extremists are increasingly dangerous, and becoming violent.

Among other things, alleged Holocaust Museum killer James von Brunn is a “birther”—someone who subscribes to one of the many elaborate conspiracy theories regarding how Barack Obama is constitutionally ineligible to be president, because supposedly he isn’t a natural-born American citizen. Today police found a note in von Brunn’s car, reading in part, “The Holocaust is a lie. Obama was created by Jews.”

Media Hypocrisy and Willful Stupidity

The only thing that could replace the media's obsession with the murder of a late term abortion doc is a .........right wing Nazi (National Socialists are lefties, but why split hairs?). I was floored last night while watching an exchange between Ellis Henican (Newsday) and Bill O'Reilly discussing that lack of coverage for the jihadi who murdered a US soldier, wounded another and planned attacks of churches, Jewish centers and other targets.

Henican dismissed the Islamic attack on the Arkansas military station and murder of a US soldier as a random act of violence. Henican remonstrated with O'Reilly, asking, "What about the 9,000 other murders in the country? Why not discuss them as well?" [paraphrasing]. So the left narrative is that there is no war on the West, there is no jihad. Surrender. But the abortion doc, according to Henican, is enormously important, because there is a moral value. Henican's moral value? Not that the murdered doctor performed over 60,000 late term abortions of viable babies, but that he was murdered -- which is undeniably terrible and wrong. The criminal who shot Dr. Tiller had a prior record (as did the shooter of the Holocaust Museum security guard). Why did these nuts have guns? I do not believe in gun control, but I do believe that criminals should lose the privilege of gun ownership. That's the law, is it not? Why aren't we pursuing the failure of law enforcement on this issue? Why isn't the media even talking about that?

If anyone grabs the video clip of O'Reilly/Henican, please send it on.

But back to the media's Nazi party. This random killer, 89 year old Nazi Von Brunn, is vile, and I hope his gunshot wound kills him. But he does not represent a threat to the West, to our society -- he is a whackjob. The Nazis lost the war in World War II. This disconnect the left wing media is suffering is lethal for Americans, and particularly dangerous for non-believers (Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs etc.).
The murder of Private Long is the news story that should be given 24/7 coverage. Abdulhakim  Muhammad, a soldier in the war for Allah, said he was justified. He said, "It wasn't murder, it was war". The same war that killed almost 3,000 Americans on 911. The same war that has committed 13,358 Islamic attacks since 911. The same enemy that vows to annihilate the Jews and destroy Israel. The same enemy that is taking over Europe. The enemy makes no secret of their hate, their intent, their ultimate objective.

Did the media give this woman any coverage? What if she was screaming in defense of Nazi Von Brunn's ideology?

I don't know how I can continue as I am, to be surprised/shocked/appalled by the shameless hypocrisy. I'm listening to the circus at the Holocaust Museum. It's been going all morning and will continue for the rest of the day. Does my memory fail me, or have there been a number of extremely violent acts against Jews -- Seattle? etc. -- where the killer was a Muslim, and there was no such big show.

Maybe it's me -- but I see this phony fiesta as nothing to do with horror at this ugly murder and anti-semitism -- no one there gives a damn about that -- it ONLY has to do with the fact that it was a "Right wing Nazi."

The FBI said the killers face was in all newspapers and on TV and asked the public to call in if anyone has any information on him or any possible accomplices. Did they do the same when the killer was (how many times?) a violent Muslim?

Did I hear the FBI guy say that the FBI doesn't approve of violent hate crimes??? Huh? Did someone think they might?

So now they have more reasons to go after Jews -- (and tea partiers, and our military) -- in the name of Nazis.

Oh, Mr. Nazi Killer has served the Obama camp and the Islamist DHS very well.

Our new president did not tell a virulent anti-Semite to travel to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington to kill Jews, but he is most certainly creating a climate of hate against us.

It is no coincidence that we are witnessing this level of hatred toward Jews as President Barack Obama positions America against the Jewish state.

Just days ago Obama traveled to Cairo, Egypt. It was his second trip in a short time to visit Muslim countries. He sent a clear message by not visiting Israel.

But this was code.

In Cairo, Obama said things that pose a grave danger to Jews in Israel, in America and everywhere.

And if his views are not vigorously opposed they will help create a danger as great as that posed by the Nazis to the Jewish people.

Just last week, Obama told his worldwide audience — more than 100 million people — that the killing of six million Jews during the Holocaust was the equivalent of Israel’s actions in dealing with the Palestinians.

This remark is incredible on its face, an insult to the six million Jews who died as a result of Hitler’s genocide — and it is a form of revisionism that will bode evil for Jews for years to come.

While Obama acknowledged that “six million Jews were killed — more than the entire Jewish population of Israel today” — his discussion about the Holocaust was followed by this statement: “On the other hand, it is also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians — have suffered in pursuit of a homeland.”

“On the other hand . . . ”?

Obama’s clever construct comparing the mass genocide of six million Jews to the Palestinian struggle will not be lost on the estimated 100 million Muslims who tuned into to hear him.

Perhaps it was not lost on James W. von Brinn, the 88-year-old white supremacist identified as the alleged attacker Wednesday at the Holocaust Museum. He apparently felt that he could easily take retribution against the Jews for the atrocities Obama implies they are guilty of.

When people such as 89-year-old white supremacist James Von Brunn, who attacked the U.S. Holocaust Museum, see the impunity with which Jews are being targeted around the globe by Muslims, it’s only a matter of time before they take an example.

I have explained numerous times the obvious deleterious results of funding the jihad via shariah finance.

Personal Finance: …and a donation to the Muslim Brotherhood Shariah Finance Blog

This week, CNN and Money magazine ran an article focusing on the role of faith in the personal finances of certain families.

In the article which they published which deals with a Muslim family, we have discovered a whole slew of questions with regard to matters outside of personal finance which, not surprisingly, the lapdogs at CNN and Money totally overlooked, or perhaps ignored.

The article is about the Saroya family from Pakistan who have settled in Minneapolis and starts off with  Kashif Saroya facing a dilemma since the Qu’ran forbids “paying or receiving riba, usually understood as interest.”

This is an interesting point (no pun intended) because there are actually Muslim scholars who dispute this very point. They claim that the prohibition of riba actually refers to usury and not all interest. It has only been since the rise of Jihadists and the promotion of Shariah that this prohibition has been interpreted widely as forbidding all interest.

So, right from the start, the article errs, or at least ignores the fact that there is indeed controversy over this fundamental matter. Once again, our media lapdogs have neglected to conduct proper research and demonstrate a lack of curiosity.

The article goes on to describe how the Saroyas took out a Shariah-compliant mortgage and (I must concede this much) it did point out that such a mortgage does cost them $1800 more per year than a conventional mortgage.

This revelation is a rarity. Shariah-Compliant mortgages are convoluted constructs designed to conceal the fact that they are in fact patterned after conventional mortgages. In fact–and the article neglects to mention this unfortunately–the Saroyas can take an interest deduction on their Shariah-Compliant mortgage according to the IRS!

At any rate, these Shariah-Compliant mortgages, which are often advertised as “interest-free” typically cost more than a standard interest-included mortgage. The fact that they are advertised as “interest-free” is just another example of the lousy disclosure practices of the Shariah-Compliant Finance industry.

Now we get into the really disturbing part of the article, which illustrates just how irresponsible CNN and Money magazine were in selecting subjects for their faith-based investment profiles.

It seems the Saroyas have put a large sum of money toward establishing a local chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Good grief. Many readers of SFW won’t need an introduction to CAIR, but we’ll give it just the same.

The Council of American Islamic Relations is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial.

147 people were killed during fighting on Monday night and Tuesday in Afghanistan, the deadliest case of civilian casualties in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion that ousted the Taliban regime. The muted reporting on this is interesting, with the Obamedia using terms like "if true". Was Bush ever given that benefit of the doubt? War is ugly, no doubt, but this is too much.

Will Cindy Sheehan and Jody of Code Pink be camping our in front of dear leader's Hyde Park home? Will the supplicant press corp berate Obama at his daily press conference or stick to "enchanted" questions? Just askin.

US denies 147 civilians killed in Afghan violence AP (hat tip dave)

KABUL – The U.S. military said Friday reports that as many as 147 civilians died in fighting involving American forces and the Taliban were "extremely over-exaggerated" and investigators were still analyzing the data collected at the site.

In the south, meanwhile, four NATO soldiers and 21 civilians died in a string of insurgent attacks, and an unmanned U.S. drone crashed in central Ghazni province.

Officials said preliminary findings of the joint U.S.-Afghan investigation into the deaths in the villages of Ganjabad and Gerani in the western Farah province could be released as early as Friday, but they have yet to schedule an announcement.

Reports of the large number of civilian deaths come at an awkward time for the Obama administration, as the U.S. steps up its military campaign here while emphasizing the importance of nonmilitary efforts to stabilize the country.

While the reports of civilian deaths at the hands of international force in the past were met by an immediate outcry from President Hamid Karzai's administration, this time the response was muted. The most ferocious reaction came from lawmakers in the parliament, who demanded of foreign troops' operations be regulated by a special agreement with the Afghan government, without specifying what that would entail.

A local official said that he collected from residents the names of 147 people killed during fighting on Monday night and Tuesday. If true, it would be the deadliest case of civilian casualties in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion that ousted the Taliban regime.

N.Y. Times Reports Another Large Loss Boycott the Times (hat tip Terri)

From the N.Y. Times:

The New York Times Company reported a first-quarter loss of $74.5 million on Tuesday, compared with a loss of $335,000 in the period a year ago, as it joined the roster of newspaper companies recording the steepest advertising declines in generations.

Advertising revenue at the company’s publishing segment fell 28.4 percent in the quarter, including an 8 percent decline in Internet advertising at the News Media Group.

The worst drop, 31.6 percent, occurred in the New England Media Group, which consists primarily of The Boston Globe and its site, Boston.com. The company has told unions at The Globe that the paper was on track to lose $85 million this year, and that unless deep cuts were made, the paper would be sold or closed.

Internet businesses accounted for 12.8 percent of the company’s revenue compared with 11.1 percent in the first quarter a year ago.

Other publishers have had similar declines in newspaper ad revenue in the first quarter, the sharpest drop since the Depression, and far worse than analysts predicted just a few months ago.

The Times Company’s total revenue of $609 million, down 18.6 percent from $747.9 million in the first quarter a year ago, fell more than $20 million short of analysts’ projections.

Newspaper circulation revenue recorded a slight gain, in the wake of price increases. And revenue at the company’s About Group, a collection of Internet businesses that includes About.com, fell 4.7 percent.

Despite the gloomy numbers, chief executive Janet L. Robinson tried to paint a bright picture by saying that the company was well ahead of its goal to cut overhead expenses by $230 million and that the first quarter was traditionally the weakest one in the newspaper industry.

The cuts, while painful, are necessary for a paper that, like most in the country, is losing readership and advertisers at a rapid clip. Though with each succeeding cut the net savings will diminish, and at some point the paper could be so thin that no one will want to read it.

Peace activist Cindy Sheehan will be in Albuquerque this weekend for a series of talks. Sheehan is known for her protests of the Iraq war after her oldest son, Casey, was killed in combat in April 2004.

Sheehan will make three appearances while in New Mexico.

Her first is Saturday morning at 10 at the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice. Later on in the afternoon, she will join activists at the corner of Tulane and Central in Nob Hill at 1 p.m.

Sheehan's New Mexico visit wraps up Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with a public address at Smith Brasher Hall at CNM.

About 20 anti war, anti Israel protesters showed up to protest with her. It was published in the local paper but there was still a small turn out. I have noticed Sheehan and the protesters have turned from the anit war movement to primarily being anti Israel. I have included several pictures for you to use if you like.

Corrupt Media "Teabags" the Tea Parties

How disgusting .... the leftist media tools were equating the phenomenon of the rising of the people across this great nation, perhaps a million good folks, to "tea bagging". To understand tea-bagging, imagine the dunking motion of a tea bag when making tea. Now instead of a cup, picture someone's mouth, and instead of a tea bag, picture testicles. I find it difficult to believe the leftopaths would use such a colloquialism - particularly since they have no balls.

Clearly, Anderson Cooper does a lot of teabagging, as he seems to know a great deal about it. Apparently he can't do two things at once ............

"Teabagging" - a sex act - you learn something new from the leftwing media everyday.

Watching leftist media coverage of this great American phenomenon was like watching a car wreck in slo mo. Or a drug addict injecting the last fatal dose.

For thousands of Americans, Tax Day was a moment to protest what they see as bloated budgets and a pile of debt being passed on to their children. 

For CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to use the word "teabagging" in a sentence. 

Teabagging, for those who don't live in a frat house, refers to a sexual act involving part of the male genitalia and a second person's face or mouth. 

So when the anti-tax "tea party" protests were held Wednesday across the country, cable anchors and guests -- who for weeks had all but ignored the story -- covered the protests by cracking a litany of barely concealed sexual references. 

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper interspersed "teabagging" references with analyst David Gergen's more staid commentary on how Republicans are still "searching for their voice." 

"It's hard to talk when you're teabagging," Cooper explained. Gergen laughed, but Cooper kept a straight face. 

MSNBC's David Shuster weaved a tapestry of "Animal House" humor Monday as he filled in for Countdown host Keith Olbermann. 

The protests, he explained, amount to "Teabagging day for the right wing and they are going nuts for it." 

He described the parties as simultaneously "full-throated" and "toothless," and continued: "They want to give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending." Shuster also noted how the protesters "whipped out" the demonstrations this past weekend. 

Tea Party participants were not amused. The events were held in dozens of cities across the country, and while some demonstrators were criticized for wielding off-topic and sometimes insensitive protest signs, most took to the streets to speak out against government spending. 

Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center, said the media coverage was "insulting," reacting specifically to CNN reporter Susan Roesgen's combative interviews with Illinois demonstrators in which she declared that the protests were "anti-CNN" and supported by FOX News. She left the teabagging jokes to her colleagues, though. 

"I've never seen anything like it," Bozell said. "The oral sex jokes on (CNN) and particularly MSNBC on teabagging ... they had them by the dozens. That's how insulting they were toward people who believe they're being taxed too highly." 

Max Pappas, public policy vice president at FreedomWorks -- a small-government group which promoted the tea parties -- said it's a "shame" media outlets cracked jokes at a genuine "grassroots uprising." 

"I think what that reveals is how worried they are that this might actually be something serious. You make fun of things you're afraid of, I'd say," Pappas said. 

If anyone thinks the orally charged remarks on mainstream cable were just a coincidence, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow's segments over the past week with guest, Air America's Ana Marie Cox, would dissolve all doubt. Their on-air gymnastics, dancing around the double entendre of the week, looked like live-action Beavis and Butthead. 

By one count, the two of them used the word "teabag" more than 50 times on one show. And on Monday, Cox even let the viewers in on their joke -- referencing Urbandictionary.com, a site which offers a number of colorful definitions for the term "teabagging." 

"Well, there is a lot of love in teabagging," Cox said. "It is curious, though, as you point out, they do not use the verb 'teabag.' It might be because they're less enthusiastic about teabagging than some of the more corporate conservatives who seem to have taken to it quite easily."

Hey, I voted for Obama and am involved. Bush spent too much and Obama is tripling the debt he produced. That goes against the "fiscal discipline" he promised. You should check it out and see for your self instead of simply letting Fox News or CNN tell you what it is all about.

The one guy spewing the garbage at our Tea Party in Orlando was removed yet he is the only one the liberal local media covered and they portrayed him as being the norm. He was a plant. The Conservative local media was more accurate although they may have juiced the numbers in attendence.

Do not worry, this will only strengthen our resolve. We are getting unbelievable response and invite everyone to join our movement.

Keller was speaking at Stanford University to dedicate a new building for the campus newspaper -- an event he likened to a "ribbon-cutting" for "a new Pontiac dealership."

The bombastic broadsheet editor went on to equate the keep-the-Times-alive movement to the cause of starving African refugees, saying, "Saving the New York Times now ranks with saving Darfur as a high-minded cause."

Keller said he had little use for Web sites like Google and Drudge Report: "If you're inclined to trust Google as your source for news -- Google yourself."

Keller's comments come as the Times sat down with the Newspaper Guild Wednesday in their first serious bargaining session to figure out how to extract $4.5 million in savings from the newspaper company's unionized workforce.

There are believed to be around 1,200 to 1,300 members of the Newspaper Guild working at The New York Times, and they are apparently not ready to accept the same pay cuts that their bosses did on April 1.

Ah, the unions ..............the leftists love 'em. Poetic justice!

"Most of the [union] council believed that the company has not gone far enough in eliminating superfluous managers and exempts who hold few responsibilities, and that most of the burdens for corporate missteps have fallen on Guild members," said a Guild newsletter fired off yesterday.

The company agreed to look at alternatives to a wage cut, but is standing firm on its need to shave $4.5 million in costs.

U.S. bill seeks to rescue faltering newspapers Reuters hat tip Amaros

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - With many U.S. newspapers struggling to survive, a Democratic senator on Tuesday introduced a bill to help them by allowing newspaper companies to restructure as nonprofits with a variety of tax breaks.

"This may not be the optimal choice for some major newspapers or corporate media chains but it should be an option for many newspapers that are struggling to stay afloat," said Senator Benjamin Cardin.

A Cardin spokesman said the bill had yet to attract any co-sponsors, but had sparked plenty of interest within the media, which has seen plunging revenues and many journalist layoffs.

Cardin's Newspaper Revitalization Act would allow newspapers to operate as nonprofits for educational purposes under the U.S. tax code, giving them a similar status to public broadcasting companies.

Under this arrangement, newspapers would still be free to report on all issues, including political campaigns. But they would be prohibited from making political endorsements.

Advertising and subscription revenue would be tax exempt, and contributions to support news coverage or operations could be tax deductible.

The failure of these newspapers long preceded this Democrat created economic crisis. The New York Times is textbook failure.

"We are losing our newspaper industry," Cardin said. "The economy has caused an immediate problem, but the business model for newspapers, based on circulation and advertising revenue, is broken, and that is a real tragedy for communities across the nation and for our democracy.

Newspaper subscriptions and advertising have shrunk dramatically in the past few years as Americans have turned more and more to the Internet or television for information.

At a time when his Washington honeymoon is turning into a hazing, President Barack Obama and his team are launched on a strategy to sail above the traditional White House press corps by reaching out to liberal commentators, local reporters and ethnic media.

The highest-profile moments in the new approach have been well-noted, such as the president giving an interview to progressive radio host Ed Schultz and Obama calling on a reporter from the liberal-leaning Huffington Post at his first news conference.

But those moves are only part of a much larger strategy aimed at communicating directly with audiences the White House believes are more sympathetic to the president’s agenda — and one in which much of the work is being done by Obama’s top advisers.

On the day Obama released his ambitious spending plan, the administration put White House budget director Peter Orszag on a conference call with liberal-leaning writers. Senior administration aides have followed up by promoting the budget to local radio talk shows during morning drive time.

Jared Bernstein, Vice President Joe Biden’s economic adviser and a favorite of the labor-liberal wing of the Democratic Party, also held a conference call with friendly reporters.

White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel has done conference calls with black and Hispanic media outlets.

Obama himself plans to meet soon with liberal bloggers, according to an administration official. With little fanfare, he’s already sat for interviews with Black Enterprise magazine, Telemundo and Los Angeles-based Hispanic radio host Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo.

Obama has a special stake in encouraging this movement. The campaign that vaulted him to power began mostly outside his party’s Washington establishment and was based heavily on the strength of his personality and promises to change the capital’s culture.

At his first news conference, for instance, his aides seated Schultz in the front row and called on reporter Sam Stein from The Huffington Post.

Unlike some of his predecessors, however, Obama and his aides tend not to boast about their media strategy or publicly exalt in how they are confronting or marginalizing the traditional news media.

Of course not, they are creating their own propaganda machine.

“You’ve got lots of people that aren’t cable junkies or news junkies,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, explaining the thinking behind the tailored media strategy. “This gives us the opportunity to reach a little bit different of a segment.”

Another top aide used a sports analogy for the comprehensive strategy: “Flood the zone.”

Dan Bartlett, Bush’s White House communications director, said that he and his counterparts in the Obama administration were simply following the path of their audience.

“The lagging role of the mainstream media has prompted people to seek information from a wide variety of outlets that are often now aligned with their personal interests,” he said.

That can mean hoops fanatics or duck hunters, but it also often now means political partisans.

“The president has to be careful to tend to his base,” said Dee Dee Myers, press secretary in Clinton’s first term. “A lot of what he’s doing, like giving trillions to corporations, is not that popular on the left flank of the Democratic base. So going to places like Ed Schultz or engaging the Huffington Post or MoveOn is a way to say, ‘Look, we get it; we’re talking to a lot of the people who brung us.’”

Going on opinion shows “allows you to more discreetly mobilize people for certain causes,” said Bartlett.
“It’s like mainlining into a vein — you’re getting the drugs where they need to go,” he said.

He wants recognition of Israeli Palestinians as a nation, separate but equal within a state that will no longer have the effrontery to call itself Jewish. BBC Morphs Sh*t Spraying Muslim into Chemist

A couple of days back I reported on the depraved jihadi who was spraying food, baked goods, and children's books with a fatal mix of feces, urine and .......(can I please stop now?)

I have been covering this story for over a year and now they slap a chemistry doctorate on this slug. Why don't they stop lying and making these barbarians into "edjumacated" professionals, and tell the folks what's really happening? This act of jihad, spraying food with piss and shit, is in the Al Qaeda manual for pious Muslims.

Now there's a quick and easy way to skip all those laborious years of education to get a degree in chemical engineering. Seems as if you go jihad, the more disgusting thing you do, the bigger the sheepskin you'll get. I would ask what kind of coverage do you think a Jew would get in this situation, but no Jew is capable of this debased perversion.

CHEMIST GUILTY OF CONTAMINATION BBC (hat tip Kasper)

An Algerian chemist has been found guilty at Bristol Crown Court of contaminating food and wine by using his own urine and faeces.

Sahnoun Daifallah, 42, of Bibury Road, Gloucester, was found guilty of four counts of contaminating goods at four businesses in May 2008.

Daifallah, who had defended himself, had pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Sentencing was adjourned to allow preparation of psychiatric reports. Daifallah is likely to be deported.

Judge Carol Hagen said: "I find this a very worrying case and the circumstances are alarming."

She warned Daifallah that if he did not cooperate with authorities in creating pre-sentence reports, it would "reinforce my conclusion that I find you to be a potentially very dangerous man".

The court had heard the Algerian-born chemist sprayed the mixture in the Air Balloon Pub, in Birdlip, near Cheltenham on 14 May.

He then moved on to the Waterstones bookstore in Cirencester, Tesco in Quedgley and Morrisons in Abbeydale.

The court heard shoppers and staff in both stores saw Daifallah with a black lap top computer with a vapour coming from the bag being sprayed on the shelves

Who is Bob Simon Kidding?

Anybody watching Bob Simon's segment trying to show he is not an anti-semite by doing a segment on a Nazi holocaust survivor? (With a twist, of course. "The Youngest Corporal In The Nazi Army" -- who is, in fact, a little Jewish boy who escaped death. Simon's subliminal point -- Jews can be Nazis too).

This is so typical of classic Jew haters -- fetishizing dead Jews while aiding and abetting the coming of the second holocaust. Simon's is a disingenuous puffery piece, while he condemns Israel for every act of of self defense, no matter how benign.

it is the thesis of this little paper that these attacks are coordinated by the left and islam. the left very consciously uses the tensions in western political systems caused by islam and islam’s application of jihad, especially via the mechanism of hate speech laws to restrict and destroy free speech traditions to advance its leftist political agendas the world over. the islamic jihad uses the over complicity of euro and ameri leftist thought to provide legitimizing social justification for its terror, and receives direct financial subsidies from organizations like the united nations to subsidize and support it terror campaign, and to promote islamic immigration into the west to advance is demographic campaign to institute sharia. the left is, in short, complicitous with the jihad in its attacks, and supports the legitimacy of the jihad’s attacks upon western business interests and institutions, precisely to aid the imposition of its agenda antagonistic to the very institutions attacked by the jihad.

in order to advance this thesis, i am going to examine the various assumptions and values which have held societies and human groups together since time immemorial, and posit those which are also subsumed under the modern nation state. in other words, what beliefs and values make the constituent parts of democracy what they are together in sum, and which of these values are absolutely necessary to support the continued vitality and function of the modern democratic nation state, founded, as it is, upon free market economies and free speech. you might ask, why go to this bother? this is a good question, especially as some of these matters are not mentioned again in the course of the paper: but, think, if you will, as you read this paper, how many of these ancient values are assailed by the left and by jihad, even as the main pillars of western institutions, free market economics and free market thought, come under the direct attacks of the leftist and jihad agenda. (this requires some participation on your part.) then, i will look at the left and the jihad, with a view toward how its attack is very precisely focused on these bedrock assumptions and intellectual premises of the free market, so as to understand the very real danger that these attacks pose on the very existence of democratic states.

finally, i will try to look at the relative danger posed by the partnership of the left and the jihad. it is a very complicated situation, and very fluid, and not without some subtle ironies. for there is no less inherent antagonism between the left and islam as there exists between democracy and islam, and at some point, a reckoning will come between islam and the left as well, as islam will neither brook nor tolerate the rule of the left, and will break from the left and seek to conquer it as well. and, the euro and american left are no better at comprehending the animus that drives islam than their rightist brethren, who they seek to topple by using islam. given the inherent fluidity of this situation, i will still attempt to point towards what i consider the greater long term threat to our institutions, and our very survival as free people.

as the title to the paper suggests, i am not horribly sanguine that america and the west will survive, not because the jihad and the left are so strong, but because we as the adherents of freedom have become enfeebled, and lost our way, having forgotten the basics of what made us great in the first place. we are, in short, no longer true believers in the values that gave us our wealth and our liberties. we do not defend them jealously, to the death.

Albright: Americans “woefully ignorant” of Muslim world, should accept Hamas

Woefully ignorant -- hey pot, the kettle is calling. Once again ^{not so} Albright is displaying her ....woeful ignorance.

Madeline ^{not at} Albright is right in one thing. Americans are woefully ignorant of the Muslim world. If they had a clue, they would stop Muslim immigration immediately (see Europe). Or at least pass Tom Tancredo's Prevention Act.
^{Not at} Albright's suggestion that we submit to Islam is spoken like a true dhimmi.
What is noteworthy and particularly disgusting is swallowing this in light of Albright's history. Her parents converted from Judaism in order to escape Nazi persecution. So it is really rich that she would ally with this century's nazis. Is she a pig?
Many of her Jewish relatives in Czechoslovakia were killed in the Holocaust, including three of her grandparents.

Any surprise here from Madeline Albright? Blame America for the Muslim worlds problems. According to Albright, Americans are not only ignorant of the Muslim world, but woefully ignorant. No mention of how ignorant the Muslim world is of America and other issues.

Former Secretary of State Madeline Albright and former Represenative Vin Weber (R-Minn) spoke at the Council on Foreign Relations conerning American relations with the Muslim world. Secretary Albright said that Pakistan is the most dangerous country in the world, but that Afghanistan and Pakistan are closely tied in their turmoil. She continued that most Americans are “woefully ignorant” of the Muslim world, and that America’s approach should not be one of ‘tolerance’, but rather one of ‘respect’. Concurrent to that line of thought is the notion that the United States should be prepared to deal with Islamist democratic elections where the results are not favorable to American policy. Albright said people all over the world are ready for democracy, but that the United States should take the position of supporting popular democratic movements, not “imposing democracy”. Weber echoed that sentiment, but insisted that the U.S. could help build the “preconditions for democracy”, such as improving women’s rights or encouraging an open media.

Regarding America’s approach to fighting terrorism, Albright said that the U.S. must not fight terror in a way which creates new terrorists, and that every civilian death makes both the United States and our causes suffer. Regarding the policies of ‘targeted killings’ and assassinations, Weber highlighted that both the Bush and Obama administrations said that they would not ignore ‘actionable intelligence’ on the locations of terrorists. Albright also stated that it is important for America to distinguish those who were civilians and those who were “murders”.

Listen to that asshattery. The objective of the enemy is to kill as many civilians as they can get off on one attack, but if we defend ourselves, we will get them angry. So .... what? Don't defend ourselves, just give them money and land?

The American public is woefully ignorant about, first of all they think that most Muslims live in the Middle East which they don’t uhhhhhh, and they don’t know anything about ehhhhh the difference between ummmmm Sunni and Shia or or any aspect of this, and so I think it is an educational process for the United States which can eh the American people which cannot be done without the help of reporters and ummmm the help of the media. Also the other way, I think that this is what we talked about in uhhh both these reports basically that there had to be ummm also more coverage in the uh Arab media or Muslim community of the United States.

So, when referring to terrorists who happen to justify their murderous actions on Islamic law and the Quran, we cannot damn an entire religion or culture. But when Obama is kissing their ass, he can refer to ‘the Muslim world’ and when Albright dictates the level of knowlege Americans have of Islam she can damn an entire nation of people? Clearly she isn’t aware of the growing counter-jihad, counter-sharia movement in the United States, many whom are more knowledgable than she on things Islamic.

No surprise Albright is a professor at Saudi-funded Georgetown University, her parents converted from Judaism, she has relatives who were killed in the Holocaust, she helped the spread of Islam in Europe, and that she is dictating the media bombard Americans with Islamic propaganda to educate them - it more than suggests she has become a most useful idiot for Islam.

Last night's story totally smeared Israel as warlike in regard to settlements and evil with regard to violating 'Palestinian"  rights. BTW,  they are not "settlers", they are Jews living in the Jewish homeland. Period. (hat tip Ken)

BOB SIMON: Palestinians say they can't have a state with Israeli settlers all over it, which the settlers say is precisely the idea.

Notice how they say the Jews have to leave the land. The Jews have to be expelled from Judea and Samaria (Jewish land) but Muslims, Arabs etc. live in Israel and have the freedom to conduct mass demonstrations against Israeli policy! Bob Jew hater Simon says the Jews can't live there ............ why? Simon never mentions Islamic antisemitism and the vow to destroy Israel. Simon never mentions all the Jews expelled from Gaza and the gorgeous successful state Gaza turned out to be. Jew hater Simon never mentions the 950,000 Jews expelled from Arab lands ...

 Simon basically served as a Hamas-idal shill - saying that Israel has 3 choices: (i) ethnic cleansing, (ii) democratically including all Gazans and West Bankers in its elections or (iii) becoming an Apartheid state. Of course, the Apartheid remark comes with a visual of the separation wall and the "humiliating" checkpoints that Israel has. Very little mention of the full-scale continuing war that Palestinians have against Israel or that, before the wall, pizza joints and discos and buses were being blown up. No mention of how, by his example, the USA is an "Apartheid State", shamelessly keeping vigilance at its southern border and not letting in everyone who wants to emigrate from Yemen, for example. Feh, and double-feh.

 It would not be surprising that anyone without an in-depth understanding of the Gazan situation and Hamas/Hezbullah and Iran (i.e., most of the world) would come away from this with an extreme distaste of Israel and a love of Hamas.

It would be funny if not so biased. He has one scene where Israeli soldiers allegedly have taken temporary possession of a Palestinian's home to scout out a disturbance in the valley below it. The Palestinian comes to the door, but says he is in "prison" in his own house and cannot leave. Apparently, however, he is not so in prison that he can't answer the door and have an interview with a news correspondent. Also, no mention of what "disturbance" was occurring below that would necessitate the alleged "occupation" of this man's home.

Israel and the Jewish people should start suing these "media" organizations for their anti-semitic propaganda and incitement to Jewish genocide.

60 Minutes: Growing Number Of Israelis, Palestinians Say Two-State Solution Is No Longer Possible

CBS (CBS) Getting a peace deal in the Middle East is such a priority to President Obama that his first foreign calls on his first day in office were to Arab and Israeli leaders. And on day two, the president made former Senator George Mitchell his special envoy for Middle East peace. Mr. Obama wants to shore up the ceasefire in Gaza, but a lasting peace really depends on the West Bank where Palestinians had hoped to create their state. The problem is, even before Israel invaded Gaza, a growing number of Israelis and Palestinians had concluded that peace between them was no longer possible, that history had passed it by. For peace to have a chance, Israel would have to withdraw from the West Bank, which would then become the Palestinian state.

It’s known as the "two-state" solution. But, while negotiations have been going on for 15 years, hundreds of thousands of Jewish settlers have moved in to occupy the West Bank. Palestinians say they can't have a state with Israeli settlers all over it, which the settlers say is precisely the idea.

Daniella Weiss moved from Israel to the West Bank 33 years ago. She has been the mayor of a large settlement.

"I think that settlements prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state in the land of Israel. This is the goal. And this is the reality," Weiss told 60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon.

Though settlers and Palestinians don't agree on anything, most do agree now that a peace deal has been overtaken by events.

"While my heart still wants to believe that the two-state solution is possible, my brain keeps telling me the opposite because of what I see in terms of the building of settlements. So, these settlers are destroying the potential peace for both people that would have been created if we had a two-state solution," Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, once a former candidate for Palestinian president, told Simon.

And he told 60 Minutes Israel's invasion of Gaza - all the death and destruction - convinces him that Israel does not want a two-state solution. "My heart is deeply broken, and I am very worried that what Israel has done has furthered us much further from the possibility of [a] two-state solution."

Palestinians had hoped to establish their state on the West Bank, an area the size of Delaware. But Israelis have split it up with scores of settlements, and hundreds of miles of new highways that only settlers can use. Palestinians have to drive - or ride - on the older roads.

When they want to travel from one town to another, they have to submit to humiliating delays at checkpoints and roadblocks. There are more than 600 of them on the West Bank.

Asked why there are so many checkpoints, Dr. Barghouti said, "I think the main goal is to fragment the West Bank. Maybe a little bit of them can be justified because they say it's for security. But I think the vast majority of them are basically to block the movement of people from one place to another."

Here's how they block Barghouti: he was born in Jerusalem, grew up in Jerusalem and worked in a hospital there for 14 years. Four years ago he moved to a town just 10 miles away, but now, because he no longer lives in Jerusalem, he can't get back in - ever.

He says he can't get a permit to go. "I asked for a permit to go to Jerusalem during the last year, the last years about 16 times. And 16 times they were rejected. Like most Palestinians, I don't have a permit to go to the city I was born in, to the city I used to work in, to the city where my sister lives."

What he's up against are scores of Israeli settlements dominating the lowlands like crusader fortresses. Many are little cities, and none of them existed 40 years ago. The Israelis always take the high ground, sometimes the hills, and sometimes the homes. And sometimes Arabs are occupied inside their own homes.

I remember when I went to Bush's inauguration back in 2005, the leftist fascists were out in full force with their verbal diarrhea and pornographic signage. There was none of that at the velvet Stalin's coronation this past Tuesday (and there is more than enough scandal to protest this fraud).

We (on the right) spent eight years watching the left undermine, sabotage, and thwart the Republican agenda. Every appointment, every confirmation was a circus - excellent men were smeared and scuttled (uh, can you say Bolton?). And they expect us to sign off on a Treasury secretary who didn't pay his taxes for years? His top defense pick has hit an "ethics bump".

Now President Hussein is directly attacking Rush Limbaugh. This means the Democrat machine is geared up to destroy Rush's reputation and pull  him off the air.

WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.

"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."

That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.

While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.

"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."

Didn't matter when Bush and the Republicans won .....

There's more, read it all. But there is one thing I can tell you. The Republicans better find their balls or there is going to be a revolution in the damn party.

Limbaugh Responds to Obama   [Byron York]

According to an account in the New York Post, President Barack Obama yesterday told Republican leaders, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."  With George W. Bush now off the stage, it may be that Obama and some of his fellow Democrats view Limbaugh, and not John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or any other elected official, as the true leader of the Republican opposition.  This morning I asked Rush for his thoughts on all this, and here is his response:

There are two things going on here. One prong of the Great Unifier's plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me. And who knows? Are ideological and philosophical ties enough to keep the GOP loyal to their voters? Meanwhile, the effort to foist all blame for this mess on the private sector continues unabated when most of the blame for this current debacle can be laid at the feet of the Congress and a couple of former presidents. And there is a strategic reason for this.
Secondly, here is a combo quote from the meeting:

"If we don't get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can't let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That's how things don't get done in this town."

To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective.  Obama's plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR's New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts.  It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward.  It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing "eternal" power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.

Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn't Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn't they have to buy the new furnishings? What's the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet's office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs. Are we really at the point where the bad PR of Merrill getting a redecorated office in the process is reason to smear them? How much money will the Obamas spend redecorating the White House residence? Whose money will be spent? I have no problem with the Obamas redoing the place. It is tradition. 600 private jets flown by rich Democrats flew into the Inauguration. That's fine but the auto execs using theirs is a crime? In both instances, the people on those jets arrived in Washington wanting something from Washington, not just good will.
If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion dollar debacle.
One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama's ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy's Rules for Radicals:

The National Democratic Party (NPD), a German neo-Nazi party, announced on its Web site Monday that it will hold a solemn vigil on January 27 in downtown Berlin to "stop the Israeli holocaust in the Gaza Strip."

Hatred of Jews and Israel has over the years, particularly since the Second Lebanon War in 2006, unified diverse political groups in Germany, ranging from members of the German Left Party to pro-Hizbullah and pro-Hamas Islamists, to the NPD. Members of the Left Party, which is the fourth largest party in the Bundestag, with 54 deputies, marched in anti-Israeli demonstrations over the last three weeks in which protesters called for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews and Israelis.

According to an announcement on the NPD's Berlin chapter Web site on Monday, "efforts striving for a cease-fire, which are supposed to calm the world population, cannot conceal that the Israeli war is about a campaign of extermination. We are defending ourselves against foreign rule in our own land and recognize the right of the Palestinians to their own state without Israel's patronizing and dominating behavior."

The NPD is represented in a number of local city councils in Berlin districts and scored state-level victories in the state parliament of Saxony in 2004 and 2008, as well as in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2006.

"Joint hatred of everything Jewish is unifying neo-Nazis and Islamists... German-Palestinians protestors unashamedly admitted that they would vote for the NPD during the next election," Charlotte Knobloch, the head of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, warned in her speech at a pro-Israel rally earlier this month in Munich.

Knobloch noted that the alliance between Nazis and the Palestinians was not new and that in 1941 Adolf Hitler met the grand mufti of Jerusalem

AFTER DECADES OF SEXUAL CRIMES: UN SEX-FOR-FOOD SCANDAL

These sexual crimes committed by UN personnel have been going on for years, decades. They are never prosecuted, never punished. The perpetrators are merely moved to another  country to rape, molest and traffic women and children in other places. Obama wants to triple our taxpayer dollars to this house of depravity.

THE UN SEX FOR FOOD SCANDAL Washington Times

The United Nation's "sex-for-food" scandal continues to spread. As the human rights group Save the Children documents in a new report, U.N. peacekeepers in the war-torn, refugee-rich Liberia have been accused of selling food for sex from girls as young as 8. They are the latest victims in a growing tragedy that includes girls from Burundi, Ivory Coast, East Timor, Congo, Cambodia and Bosnia, proving correct a prediction made last year by the assistant secretary-general at the United Nations for peacekeeping operations. "We think this will look worse before it begins to look better," she said last May after efforts to investigate peacekeepers in Congo had fallen short.

The report found abuse at all age levels from 8 to 18, though the victims older than 12 were identified as being "regularly involved in 'selling sex'." But "all of the respondents clearly stated that they felt that the scale of the problem affected over half of the girls in their locations," the report said.

Similar to other U.N. missions, the scandal in Liberia seems to be the result of inadequate training, zero threat of punishment and collusion with top mission officials and NGO workers. "In all the [refugee] camps where discussion groups were conducted, the Camp Management Committee and block leaders were implicated," the report found. What's more, parents of the abused children typically have refrained from complaining since selling their children for sex is the only way to get food.

Despite being aware of the abuse for some time, the United Nations appears to be operating at its usual sluggish pace. A U.N. humanitarian coordinator in Liberia, Jordan Ryan, told the Associated Press that the report was "outdated" and that "much has improved since then." "There are good things that are now happening in Liberia," he said, adding that those caught engaging in "sex-for-food" are fired.

That, unfortunately, hasn't been good enough. It took U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan nearly a year of similar allegations from the mission in Congo before telling reporters that he was taking the matter seriously. When the United Nations finally did act, a handful of peacekeepers were fired. But the scandal continues to spread, suggesting that a more serious overhaul of hiring and training practices needs to be implemented.

Toward that end, the United States needs to exert greater pressure. Congress should take the place of an unconcerned U.N. bureaucracy and hold hearings to investigate how and why young girls continue to be at the mercy of U.N. workers. At the very least, such hearings would shine a much-needed light on these tiny victims, whose lives have been shattered by the peacekeepers in blue helmets.

PRO-ISRAEL RALLY IN SPAIN

I had the pleasure of going to the pro-Israel rally in front of the Israeli embassy here in Madrid today and it was so great (but it didn't last as long as I had hoped). It was really beautiful to see all the flags and quite a surprise as I was not expecting to see that many people! The police made sure to keep the pro-Hamas people very, very far away so it was really, really nice compared to all the other rallies in Europe (and even the US).

Also, as a young, gay man I felt very happy to see that there was a Spanish gay organization that was there protesting Hamas. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the gays here have a lot more sense than the idiots in Berkley and San Francisco and it was great to have other allies.

I just can't stop saying how nice it was because last Sunday there was a huge anti-Israel rally that (I think) was organized by the party of the current President Zapatero (PSOE - the Socialists). Although it was much calmer than the others, it was actually one of the biggest in Europe and even drew celebrities and I was disgusted to see a sign later that said Auschwitz 1944, Gaza 2009 and a Palestinian flag on the statue of King Carlos III and even a kuffiyeh on his horse!

The timing is unfortunate. For a story that has gone neglected for the best part of 60 years, this is hardly the ideal week to be extolling heroic Jewish resistance fighters. Ari Folman's angst-laden nonfiction animated film, "Waltz With Bashir," is altogether more relevant.

The police were on hand to protect the counter-protesters at the Israeli Consulate in New York. And for good reason too.

During the course of this altercation, one of the Palestinian supporters is yelling that he wishes the holocaust would start with the Israeli supporters.

His companion, while simultaneously addressing another counter-protester, takes the time to claim that 9-11 was the work of the Mossad (0:55).

Like I always say, "No protest is complete without a 9-11 Conspiracy believer in the crowd."

The police said they arrested 10 people after seven police officers were injured during a scuffle between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian protesters in Manhattan on Sunday.

This is a disgusting lie. I have been covering these rallies for years. The anti-Israel rallies are always hostile, nasty, and menacing, and the Pro-Israel supporters are almost always genteel, always civil.

MEDIA SILENCE ON GLOBAL DEATH TO THE JEWS MARCHES

Regular Atlas readers are acutely aware of the stunning Jewish genocide marches taking place worldwide (go here: DEATH MARCHES WORLDWIDE, and scroll) But if you didn't read Atlas, how would you know? Good on Steve Emerson for exposing this on FOX: (hat tip Jane)

JON SCOTT: You have seen protests around the world over the violence in Gaza, but demonstrations in Washington, D.C. and New York billed as anti-war rallies look a lot more like anti-Israel rallies in this exclusive video by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

The protesters are chanting pro-HAMAS slogans – one man wearing a shirt that reads "Holocaust: it is time to the ovens again."

Steve Emerson is Executive Director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism. Why don't we see more of this video, Steve?

STEVEN EMERSON: You know, it's a good question. We had crews shooting in five cities and then we found some other stuff on YouTube and these rallies, as you point out, are not just anti-Israeli, but they're pro-terrorist – calling for Israel's destruction, calling for HAMAS and Hizballah to beat the Jews – for the Jews to be annihilated using a taunt that has been chanted at them for a thousand years.

I find it absolutely strange and disturbing that the mainstream networks are not reporting on this as they have reported on the casualties in Gaza. This is a very important development in the United States insofar as these are American protesters promoting Hizballah, HAMAS, and even al Qaeda.

SCOTT: Well it is a free country, obviously, and they can promote whatever they want I suppose, up to a point. My question is: is there any evidence of outside interference from the Iranians for instance?

EMERSON: No, I don't think there is. And as you point out, it's free speech. You can't yell fire in a crowed theater, but you can certainly yell "death to America," and some of them have. But the fact is that if this was a Nazi rally, there would be major coverage by all of the networks. Instead, one paper in L.A. referred to these rallies as mere protest rallies. They're hate rallies, and I think it shows the agenda of those that are promoting HAMAS and wanting to see the Israelis not just end the assault, but actually eviscerated.

SCOTT: Are they big enough to be something worrisome? I mean, are they more than just a few dozen people?

EMERSON: Well there were hundreds of people that were at the Washington rally and in New York, there were hundreds of people as well. Now not all of them were chanting death to Jews and death to Israel, but a fair number of them were. And it is troublesome that those people exist in the United States just as it's troublesome that neo-Nazis exist in the United States. Again, it's legal, it's protected speech, but you really have to worry about what they could possibly do if they wanted to carry out violence.

ORWELLIAN FRENEMIES

Any friend of Israel is a friend of mine. Period.

If anything has become increasingly clear in the march to the second holocaust, it is that the left is as great an enemy of the Jewish people as Islam. Both are decrying Israel's self defense, both are marching calling for the death of Israel and the death of Jews. It is no secret. The left wing parties march under the flag of Hezballah in Sweden and the leftists call on Euro governments demanding Israel stop defending herself. It is these same parties that feed their willing US dupes inaccurate propaganda to smear and destroy Filip Dewinter.

There is something sinister in the demonization of the rare political party that stands for Israel, staunchly defends her and demands actions to protect the Jewish people. This should be encouraged among the friends of Israel. While impostors and their half wit lemmings  turn themselves inside to explain the unexplainable - the fact is - it is enormously unpopular with the electorate in Europe to back Israel and so it is a principled stand, a rare thing indeed.

I stand with Vlaams Belang because by their fruits ye shall know them, and so I know them.

Vlaams Belang demands an explanation from the Mayor and the Chief of Police on the serious incidents that occurred. They also want to know why there was nothing done about banners saying "Joden Buiten" ["Jews Out"], "Osama we need you" and "Jihad, yes we can".

Vlaams Belang accuses Mayor Patrick Janssens of not having done anything to prevent this. "Only zero tolerance towards violence and vandalism is suitable here. The present policy with which all is done not to 'provocate' nobody, is a weak stand in which the Government beds backwards for the AEL and connected organizations.

This is noteworthy since Vlaams Belang has been repeatedly tarred with accusations of neo-Nazism, neofascism, white supremacism, etc. And there is some evidence that there is some of that in the party's history, but if a party cannot change over time, Barack Obama should be asking himself why he is a member of the party of the KKK, Jim Crow, and segregation. Of course, any group that is actually neo-Nazi, neofascist, or white supremacist is morally abhorrent and should be rejected: but the ongoing spectacle of an allegedly neo-Nazi or crypto-Nazi party taking a consistent and (in today's dhimmi Belgium) unpopular and politically damaging pro-Israel stance ought to move the party's accusers to some self-reflection.

Unfortunately, as the last year has shown many times, these accusers have no compunction about working to destroy the reputations of decent people with outrageous and unsubstantiated accusations. Defamation and lies come easy to them -- in their reptilian minds, if you aren't convinced the people they say are Nazis are actually Nazis, then you must be a Nazi yourself. But admit they were wrong? That would be above their pay grade.

The bottom line is if one only has limited energies to devote to a wide range of enormous problems,  why would anyone chase this? With all of the leftist Jew hatred run amok, why set out on a campaign to destroy those helping the Jews, helping Israel and further ......... set out to destroy those that champion such behavior? It speaks to a dark motive. How long before these "deciders" (like Ellsworth Toohey) throw Israel to the wolves for "racism" or "ethnic nationalism"?

Just for knowing, any friend of Israel is a friend of mine. Period.

If you are in 'journalism' or any responsible position of news dissemination, you cannot look at the depraved Jew hating insanity sweeping the globe and not say to yourself, "I must be responsible in what I print, I must be accurate in my reportage. There is a mental illness, a moral depravity spreading like a cancer through besieged societies. I have seen this before. I know where this leads. I must be responsible". But we are witnessing the opposite taking place. The media can't throw enough kerosene on the the growing fire.

Check on the latest blood libel being peddled by Hamas's public relations organization - the UN. First this from Atlas reader Chuck:

I was listening to a ton of talk radio yesterday during a 13 hour drive.  The top-of-the-hour news (PBS I think) at about 7pm had an Irish-sounding spokesman for the UN, located somewhere in Gaza. The "reporter" asked him if he knew for sure that it was an Israeli soldier that fired on a UN worker.  He said that yes, he knew that absolutely - it was a fact.

The reporter then asked him how he knew this.  His reply was that that was because he was told by "eyewitnesses", and that nobody from Israel was talking to them about.  Reporter asked, "you mean that nobody from Israel has neither confirmed nor denied their involvement?"  The Irishman hesitates, and then says, yes, that's true, and that that was how he knew that they were guilty.  And then the reporter quickly ended the "interview" with a, "and this is bla bla bla reporting live..."

So ALL DAY yesterday the only thing that the top-of-the-hours (CBS, FOX, etc.) were reporting on news radio stations in four states (OH, IN, KY, TN) was that Israel had attacked and killed a UN worker. 

Where's the damned apology, Pamela?  These are the same jackasses that tell our skulls full of mush that the West is bad, that we need to try to understand Islam, that it's possible for a peaceful solution if only big bad Israel will just stop.

New Blood Libels in the Making.......

The UN and other international organizations working in the Gaza area are clearly in the bag for the Hamas, so it stands to reason that they will be only too willing to shove a few shivs into the back of Israel whenever given the chance.

We have been hearing quite a lot lately about UN vehicles and trucks delivering aid supposedly coming under fire from Israeli ground forces, but when pressed a bit further, the "neutral parties to the conflict" are forced to admit that they can't say with certainty that Israel is to blame.

 

All this leads me to ask the question, "if these neutral parties observing the conflict from the side are truly neutral, why then are 100% percent of their claims being leveled at one side only, Israel? All of the reports are being filed by Palestinians, most likely Hamas supporters or affiliates that have every reason to embellish, stretch the truth or outright lie to the Western media and international organizations, in an attempt to cast Israel as the chief evil doer.

 

Even Norwegian doctors are in on the fix as well, with Mads Gilbert and Erik Fosse shilling for Hamas every chance they can get. The media is willingly allowing itself to be set up, and to hell with the truth, and in the event they are caught with their pants hanging around their ankles, well, just shove the faulty report down the memory hole and act as if nothing happened at all.

Uncertainty shrouds UN driver's death

J'Lem Post: Who killed the Palestinian driver of an aid truck and wounded two others as their convoy made its way into the Gaza Strip through the Erez crossing during Thursday's "humanitarian cease-fire?"

According to the foreign media, who based their information on UN sources, IDF tank shells blasted the truck. According to the Magen David Adom medic who claimed to have taken the Palestinians to an Israeli hospital, the truck actually came under Hamas sniper fire.

The medic, who asked not to be named, said he got his information from soldiers in the field, but by press time - some eight hours after the incident - the IDF Spokesman's Office was still unable to provide a response or to establish contact with the relevant sources in the field.

Adding to the confusion, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it had evacuated the victims, but the MDA medic said soldiers told him they had gone in, at great personal risk, to evacuate the wounded Palestinians. What is certain is that there is one dead Palestinian, and two others being treated at Ashkelon's Barzilai Medical Center for gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon at the Erez crossing into northern Gaza, the main entrance used by aid agencies to funnel badly needed food and medical supplies into the Strip.

John Ging, the director of operations in Gaza for UNRWA, said via video link that "the verbal assurances have run out in terms of credibility."

"We cannot rely on firm commitments given from the Israeli side," Ging told reporters. "To have Israeli forces on the ground firing at and now hitting convoys that have been specifically cleared - this is real-time clearance?"

Ging acknowledged, however, that he could not be absolutely certain that the attacks came from IDF forces, telling a reporter who asked whether other combatants may have been responsible, "There is a conflict going on.

For at least seven hours, the international media were quoting a version of events that claimed the Palestinian truck driver was killed by an Israeli shell.

According to MDA, the driver and two others, Palestinian civilians contracted by the UN, suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and upper body. In response to a Post query, a spokeswoman from Barzilai confirmed that the two surviving Palestinians were being treated for gunshot wounds.

Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says Israeli forces evacuated about 110 Palestinians into Gaza house which they then repeatedly shelled 24 hours later, killing about 30 people. IDF: UN claims unreasonable

Military officials said in reponse to the accusation that "from initial examinations in the IDF there is no knowledge of any incident in which IDF forces moved people from one building to another.

"Furthermore, the claim that the building was attacked on January 4, in 24-hours after the IDF entered the Gaza Strip is unreasonable since the IDF forces had not yet reached the areas in question on this date.

"An Israeli television network examination of the matter with hospitals in the area showed the hospitals had no knowledge of such an incident."

The fix is in, and it's something that more and more people are becoming aware of, hence the lack of outrage coming from across the board. It's for the most part coming from all of the predictable places, the Lefty blogs, the gullible and/or the willingly led by the nose media and Palestinian propaganda outlets.

Allow me to propose a metric for evaluating whether a journalist is behaving responsibly or not: If he reports that Israel bombed a UN school and killed 30 civilians, he is irresponsible. If he reports that Hamas used a UN school as a weapons cache and base of operations for launching mortars at the IDF, and the IDF’s return fire killed the Hamas cell along, tragically, with a yet-unspecified number of civilians, then he is behaving responsibly. If he wishes to be particularly scrupulous, he might additionally note that Hamas had rigged the school with explosives which detonated after the IDF took out the mortar team, killing a large additional number of civilians. And he might add that you can go to the IDF’s Youtube channel to from 2007 of Hamas using the very same school as a mortar-launching base.

Journalists who abjure reporting the vital details of this story should be called what they are — activists masquerading as reporters.

PARIS: France’s public broadcaster was forced to apologise to viewers yesterday after it mistakenly used amateur footage shot in 2005 to illustrate a report on the current Gaza conflict.
France 2 television on Monday broadcast part of an amateur video presented in a voiceover commentary as showing the fallout from an Israeli air strike on a civilian area in Gaza on January 1.
Dating from September 2005, the video, which has been widely circulated on the Internet, actually shows civilians wounded in the accidental explosion of a pick-up truck loaded with Hamas rockets at a rally in Jabaliya refugee camp.
Alerted by the French website LePost.fr, France 2 admitted its mistake yesterday and made a formal apology to viewers in its midday news broadcast.
“It is an error on our behalf. There was an internal malfunction in the checking of information,” a France 2 executive told AFP.
France 2’s head of news reporting, Etienne Leenhardt, told LePost.fr that ....  The people who put it together worked too fast”.

This newspaper was on the German side during occupation, and General Charles de Gaulle banned it the first years after 1944. Now they are writing about several (!) schools being attacked by IDF.

The header means: Gaza: Bloody Israeli Raids Against Schools. That is, IDF does not persecute the terrorists but they are going against schools and their pupils.

My good friends at CAMERA Snapshots (no relation) have been covering the latest Hamas manipulation of the press fairly relentlessly over the past few days, and a couple of photographic-related items seem to stand out:

There are more photographers than doctors on the scenes at al-Shifa Memorial Human Shields Storage Area Hospital? And to think, almost none of them seem to be able to spot the militants amongst the bunch.

CAMERA has also spotted a non-injured man being paraded around as a victim. Or at least, he surely looks non-injured (as do many of the other "victims" being paraded into al-Shifa Hospital).

I'll only add to this by pointing out that faithful Muslims the world over appear to be quite adept at parading around bodies. Or, to be more accurate, reasonable approximations thereof.

Is it therefore beyond the depth of imagination, armed with this knowledge, to suppose that Palestinians are also "dressing up" their victimhood just a touch?

As fauxtography may be getting underway at Shifa hospital, photographers line up to give the casualties maximum exposure.
