It's only a matter of time before the mainstream media straps on a suicide vest and self destructs. Here's another leftwing meme debunked. Major Muslim Hasan did not apply for early discharge. The left wing media contended he was terrified to go to war, was refused his discharge, and he "snapped". Another media mess. Clean up on aisle 2, 4 and 7.
Contrary to previous
reports, Hasan's military personnel record indicates that he did not apply for
an early discharge from the army, as a conscientious objector or for any other
reason, according to military officials. Hasan, who was born in the US to
Palestinian parents, was widely understood to have sought and been denied an
early separation from the army, a factor that could have helped explain why he
allegedly snapped and went on the shooting rampage.
There is a little known movement afoot that gives me great hope. Folks across the country have taken to the streets to protest the corrupt and biased activist media. It's about time. Media malfeasance has been criminal. They have
destroyed this country in their messiah worshiping coverage of the
enemy in the White House. They know not what they've done -- but we do. And it destroyed this country. They must be exposed and deposed.
In more than 100 cities across the U.S. protesters converged on
newspaper and television offices Saturday to denounce the liberal-left
bias in national and international reporting. These latest rallies are
a response to blatantly biased media coverage of the center-right
taxpayer protests, which began in February as a response
to Washington’s unprecedented deficit spending. The ”Tea
party” movement gathered steam through the spring and summer with a
series of nationwide rallies. On September 12th a massive Tea party was staged in Washington DC.
Can You Hear Us Now Protesters at NBC news headquarters in Denver on Saturday
These people are fed up with the MSM’s dishonest news coverage. When
a million of these taxpayers swamped the nation’s capital on September
12 2009, big media dismissed them as angry racists and reported only
tens of thousands. The Daily Mail the second largest newspaper in
England headlined the event:A million march to US Capitol to protest against ‘Obama the socialist’.
I have personally experienced being in crowds of over one million on three occasions. Once in Santo Domingo, at a Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD)
march and rally in the late 1980s. I spent eight hours photographing
that crowd. My second experience was when the people of Bali, rallied
in support of Megawati Sukarnoputri when she visited Denpasar
in the late 1990’s. She was later elected President of Indonesia. Both
of those rallies were documented by national newspapers to have
exceeded 1 million people.
I was also in Washington DC on 9/12, and I believe based on what I saw there, that 9/12 was a similar rally of over a million.
The “tea party patriots” have been denigrated and attacked
repeatedly by corporate media giants and administration officials in
the most vicious and lewd terms. They were called racists, nazis, and teabaggers
by media and government elites. The size and demeanor of all these
rallies goes under-reported or misreported and downgraded. Saturdays
“Can You Hear Us Now” rallies in dozens of cities across the U.S. are a direct response to unethical liberal media misreporting in politics, both domestic and foreign.

Dan F opines, "Aren't you getting the feeling that the candidate who ran a smart campaign has become a dimwit now that he's in office? I do."
We are gong to treat FOX news the way we would treat any opponent. White House to NY Times
They are whining about "opposition" media. I can only choke on my laughter when I think back to the Bush years. There was only opposition media.
Calling Fox News "a wing of the Republican Party," the Obama administration on Sunday escalated its war of words against
the channel, even as observers questioned the wisdom of a White House war on a news organization.
"What
I think is fair to say about Fox -- and certainly it's the way we view
it -- is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party," said
Anita Dunn, White House communications director, on CNN. "They take
their talking points, put them on the air; take their opposition
research, put them on the air. And that's fine. But let's not pretend
they're a news network the way CNN is."
Fox
News senior vice president Michael Clemente, who likens the channel to a newspaper with separate sections on straight news
and commentary, suggested White House officials were intentionally conflating opinion show hosts like Glenn Beck with news
reporters like Major Garrett.
"It's astounding the White House cannot distinguish between news and opinion programming,"
Clemente said. "It seems self-serving on their part."
In
recent weeks, the White House has begun using its government blog to
directly attack what it called "Fox lies." David Gergen, who has worked
for President Bill Clinton and three Republican presidents, questioned
the propriety of the White House declaring war on a news organization.
"It's
a very risky strategy. It's not one that I would advocate," Gergen said
on CNN. "If you're going to get very personal against the media, you're
going to find that the animosities are just going to deepen. And you're
going to find that you sort of almost draw viewers and readers to the
people you're attacking. You build them up in some ways, you give them
stature."
He
added: "The press always has the last barrel of ink."
Gergen's sentiments were echoed by Tony Blankley, who once
served as press secretary to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
"Going after a news organization, in my experience,
is always a loser," Blankley said on CNN. "They have a big audience. And Fox has an audience of not just conservatives --
they've got liberals and moderates who watch too. They've got Obama supporters who are watching. So it's a temptation for
a politician, but it needs to be resisted."
Nia Malika Henderson, White House correspondent for the Politico newspaper,
also questioned the White House offensive against Fox.
"Obama's
only been a boon to their ratings and I don't understand how this kind
of escalation of rhetoric and kind of taking them on, one on one, would
do anything other than escalate their ratings even more," she said.
Dunn used an appearance on CNN's "Reliable Sources" over the weekend to complain
about Fox News' coverage of the Obama presidential campaign a year ago.
"It was a time this country was in two
wars," she recalled. "We'd had a financial collapse probably more significant than any financial collapse since the Great
Depression. If you were a Fox News viewer in the fall election, what you would have seen would have been that the biggest
stories and biggest threats facing America were a guy named Bill Ayers and something called ACORN."
Ayers
was co-founder of the Weather Underground, a communist terrorist group
that bombed the Pentagon and other buildings in the 1960s and 1970s. In
1995, Ayers hosted Obama at his home for a political function and the
two men later served together on the board of an anti-poverty group
known as the Woods Fund.
The
Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which
once had close ties to Obama, has been accused by a variety of law
enforcement agencies of voter fraud. In recent weeks, the
Democrat-controlled Congress moved to sever funding to ACORN after Fox
News aired undercover videotapes of ACORN employees giving advice on
how to break the law to a pair of journalists disguised as a pimp and
prostitute.
As
for Dunn's complaint about Fox News' coverage of the Obama campaign, a
study by the Pew Research Center showed that 40 percent of Fox News
stories on Obama in the last six weeks of the campaign were negative.
Similarly, 40 percent of Fox News' stories on Obama's Republican
opponent, Sen. John McCain, were negative.
On
CNN, by contrast, there was a 22-point disparity in the percentage of
negative stories on Obama (39 percent) and McCain (61 percent). The
disparity was even greater at MSNBC, according to Pew, where just 14
percent of Obama stories were negative, compared to a whopping 73
percent of McCain stories -- a spread of 59 points.
Although Dunn accused Fox News of being a "wing of the Republican Party," she said the network does
not champion conservatism.
"It's not ideological," she acknowledged. "I mean, obviously, there are many commentators
who are conservative, liberal, centrist -- and everybody understands that."
Still,
Obama refused to appear on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace on Sept.
20, the day he appeared on five other Sunday shows. At the time, the
White House characterized the snub as payback for the Fox Broadcast
Network's decision not to air an Obama prime time appearance. But last
weekend, Dunn blamed Fox News Channel's coverage of the administration
for Obama's snub of Fox News Sunday.
"Is
this why he did not appear?" Dunn said. "The answer is yes."
Wallace has called White House officials "the biggest
bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington."
Dunn was asked by CNN's Howard Kurtz whether
Obama would grant an interview to Fox News by the end of the year.
"Obviously,
he'll go on Fox, because he engages with ideological opponents and he
has done that before, he will do it again," Dunn replied. "I can't give
you a date, because frankly I can't give you dates for anybody else
right now."
But
last week, Fox News was informed by the White House that Obama would
grant no interviews to the channel until at least 2010. The edict was
relayed to Fox News by a White House official after Dunn discussed the
channel at a meeting with presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs and other
Obama advisers.
"What
I will say is that when he (Obama) goes on Fox, he understands he's not
going on it really as a news network, at this point," Dunn said on CNN.
"He's going on to debate the opposition. And that's fine. He never
minds doing that."
Dunn also
strongly implied that Fox had failed to follow up on a New York Times story about a scandal swirling around GOP Sen. John
Ensign of Nevada, although Fox News broadcast the stories on numerous shows, including Special Report with Bret Baier.
Clemente
questioned the motives of the White House attack, which comes in the
wake of an informal coffee last month between Fox chairman Roger Ailes
and Obama adviser David Axelrod.
"Instead of
governing, the White House continues to be in campaign mode, and Fox
News is the target of their attack mentality," he said. "Perhaps the
energy would be better spent on the critical issues that voters are
worried about."
Blankley suggested the war on Fox News is unpresidential.
"It
lowers the prestige," he said. "If you're president or speaker, at a
certain level, you don't want to be seen to be engaging that kind of
petty bickering. If you're just a congressman, maybe you can do it."
In an interview over the summer,
Obama made clear that Fox News has gotten under his skin.
"I've got one television station that is entirely devoted
to attacking my administration," he told CNBC's John Harwood. "You'd be hard pressed if you watched the entire day to find
a positive story about me on that front."
At the White House Correspondents Dinner in May, Obama even mocked the
media for supporting him.
"Most of you covered me; all of you voted for me," Obama said, spurring laughter and
applause from the assembled journalists. "Apologies to the Fox table."
Gergen said the White House should delegate
its attacks to outside support groups.
"Why don't they take this over to the DNC, over to the Democratic National
Committee, and have their struggles like that fought out over there and not out of the White House?" Gergen said. "I have
real questions about that strategy."
How is the left wing media and the Muslim media playing this? In order to defame the movement and discourage freedom lovers from standing up against this century's fourth reich, they are calling these good, decent folks "Nazis". This is the propaganda campaign. Islamists and left fascists calling the Jews, freedom lovers, free men, and those fighting for freedom, Nazis. Get it. It is exactly what the mainstream fringe media does here in the states with patriots, tea partiers, and opposition to dear leader. It's the same tactic that low life libel bloggers use of counter jihad bloggers and authors.

"Masked Southern populists, in the armed wing of the Democratic Party, speak to the press during a press conference....?"
Believe it or not, one of these two
photographs is real.
Masked Palestinian Hamas militants speak to
the press
during a press conference in Gaza City, Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009.
Israel and Hamas
militants announced a deal Wednesday that will see Israel release 20 Palestinian
women from prison this week in exchange for a videotape proving that a captive
Israeli
soldier held in the Gaza Strip is still alive. The decision was the first
tangible sign of movement in more than three years of talks over the release of
the soldier, Sgt. Gilad Schalit, who has not been seen since he was captured by
Hamas-linked militants in a cross-border raid in June 2006. (AP Photo/Hatem
Moussa)
For the first time in a
while, the press
has decided that it's safe to run glamor shots from a Hamas
press conference again. Those of you who are new to this site might not
remember, but Snapped Shot was involved in loudlyprotestingsuchthug conferences back
in the day, which I believe had led to these photos being barred from the
newswires.
Until now, that is.
What is plain and true and good is lost on the erudite barbarians in the press:
So, again I raise the same questions as before to the morally-challenged
members of the
press who allow this to continue:
Would you have
attended these press conferences if the Ku Klux Klan was hosting one about the
evils of the civil
rights movement? Would you be going out of your way to provide the Nazi
German point of view during coverage of World War II?
And editors,
would you allow glowing coverage of either of those two groups to
dominate your news coverage?
Because Hamas, an organization
which has
genocide written into its constitution, is no better than either of
those two groups—and yet, you seem to think that the news consumers of the world
are dying to know what Hamas has to say.
Coverage of these
disgusting murderous thugs must stop. Unless you don't mind destroying
every last shred of your credibility, that is.
Tonight I will be going live with Jamal Jivanjee, Rifqa's confidante and fellow Muslim apostate
\
Jamal, a Muslim apostate, has been friends with Rifqa for over a year. She approached him in 2008 when she read a sermon of his concerning the difficult journey of leaving Islam and converting to Christianity. Tune in to listen to someone close to Rifqa and hear the evidence of Rifqa living in secrecy and fear. She worshiped in secret and she was terrified.
Tonight Jamal will discuss his shock at the mendacity of the Newsweek reporter with whom he spoke at length, none of which was reflected in their coverage. The article is full of patent lies and pre-determined narrative void of facts.
The thought police do not like being challenged. Talk about "flat out stupid".
Watch the decrepit leftopath media czars lick their wounds over the Van Jones resignation. Crying in their pathetic zuppa. Even though he deserved the boot, the internet is bad. The wild thing is, the right doesn't sling and smear like the left does. They have it down to a cold science. Propaganda is the motor of their machine.
What exactly are they railing against?
Have these tools asked once, ONCE , for any of the following from their king? Obama's original birth certificate or his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records?
How bout that letter from Percy Sutton to Harvard, his school aid app (foreign or domestic), his 1981 passport that he traveled to Pakistan on ....?
Wow. Check out the CNN headline - if anyone is not a Muslim, it's Rifqa Bary. Four years a devout Christian, but CNN respects their master's shariah law. allalua quid pro quo.
I thought Atlas readers would find it very telling
to read the question and answer session from yesterday's Rifqa Bary press conference. Notice how so few questions address Rifqa. Why so little on the abuse? Why no questions on the Qaradawi connection? Why no questions on Sultan? Why no questions about apostasy in Islam? Why no questions on the very real danger Rifqa is in? Why no questions on what a high value target Rifqa is? Why no questions on Mohamed Bary's claims of poverty? Questions on Rifqa's friends? No. Teachers? No.
Why are the media so in the tank for the Islamists?
Mike Schneider from the Associated Press: "Just a quick question. A lot of what you described kind of seems tangential to the case, I mean, has her parents ever proclaimed support for the Muslim Brotherhood or supported terrorist organizations? I mean, shouldn't the focus be on her family?
John Stemburger: Well, her family are members of this mosque, they are involved with these types, that's the problem, and they associate with people in their home and on a regular basis are involved. It's obvious they're being influenced by the unique teachings, which would be highly observant teachings of this particular center. That should be a major concern to the court I would think especially since its directly tied to their household.
Mediator: Does that answer your question, Mr.Schneider?
Mike Schneider: Oh yeah, there is a follow up if I could, um, given the attention this has gotten from the Florida authorities, Ohio authorities, the media, can you honestly say that you think that she'll be harmed if she goes back to Ohio?
John Stemburger: Based upon everything that we have researched, and all the experts that I have listened to, I think that there is no question in my mind that if she is sent back to Ohio, it is only a matter of time before she slips away into the night. The United Nations has reported that there are over 5000 honor killings or apostate killings a year, and so this is not something that want Rifqa to be a statistic of. And we believe that it's in her best interests, clearly to retain her stable placement here in Florida and to not have her return to Ohio.
Mike Schneider: Thank you.
Wall Street caller: Question: Hello, I would like to know if you know anything about the contact between the local CAIR chapter and the Orlando Sentinel? Is this where the Orlando Sentinel is getting its version of the case?
John Stemburger: I have no idea if there are any special relationships between CAIR and the Orlando Sentinel, I think they are in cue too to ask a question, so perhaps they can answer that question directly, so, but I don't have any information for you.
Wall Street caller: Thank You
[Rene is the rube over at the Sentinel - Atlas]
Orlando Sentinel, Rene Stutzman: Yeah, this is the Orlando Sentinel, Rene Stutzman. Can you give me the names of the people at Noor Mosque that want Rifqa dead?
John Stemburger: Rene, I think that after you read our brief the totally of the circumstances present a direct danger to her. Obviously in this kind of a situation you are not going to identify a specific person. Her father made specific threats to her, that's a significant threat.
Orlando Sentinel, Rene Stutzman: Mr. Stemburger, also, could you tell me, have you seen the report or gotten the summary of the FDLE's findings in regards to its charge from the court?
John Stemburger: No, but I would eager to see those, do you have a copy of those?
Orlando Sentinel, Rene Stutzman: Yes, sir.
John Stemburger: I do not have a copy of that but I would look forward to seeing their findings. I imagine a lot it would be consistent with what we have alleged here, but I have no idea of knowing that.
Orlando Sentinel, Rene Stutzman: Thank you.
Rachael WKMG: Can you tell me if she has spoken to her parents, and does she still feel that they would be the ones to take action against her if she went home or is more a concern of the more larger community from the Noor Center?
John Stemburger: I am not aware that Rifqa has spoken with her parents since she's been here in Florida, and Rifqa, in her statement in court indicated that she definitely loves her family, but is threatened because of the past beatings from her father, and the threats from her father. My primary concern has to do more with the community which surrounds her household and their daily lives as a result of this incident. I'm certain that both are real and serious, but it's hard to know which would be more serious.
Rachael WKMG: Ok, thank you.
Danielle Cangelosi, Fox News channel: Mr.Stemburger: I want to ask you if Rifqa ever recalls her father using the language of "dishonoring the family" or "dishonoring Islam". In the affidavit he threatened to kill her, I just wonder if he ever specifically said that he would, he needed to take care of her because she was dishonoring Islam or the family.
John Stemburger: I am not aware that she has indicated those specific words
[Cangelosi was the FOX producer I worked with on their Honor Killing special back in June 2008 - Atlas]
Danielle Cangelosi, Fox News channel: So where did she, I mean did she just base on her studies and what she knew about the faith is how she came to the conclusion that it would be an honor killing if she returned?
John Stemburger: She knew when she stepped into the Korean Methodist Church years ago that she was doing something that would be viewed very very, with great hostility, rather, and she had fear back then and continued to live with fear until she escaped to Florida.
Danielle Cangelosi, Fox News channel: Um..also in the affidavit it also, there also at the end, her mother threatened to send her back to Sri Lanka to be dealt with there. Did she ever explain exactly what her mother meant by saying "to be dealt with in Sri Lanka"?
John Stemburger: No, she did not explain it in detail, but the implication was that she knew that Sri Lanka did not have the kind of protections the United States had, and that it would not be a pretty situation.
Danielle Cangelosi, Fox News channel Ah, one more question. In the household, was it, did her father uh, was it a strict Muslim household? You know that in lot of the pictures on TV, she seemed to be very Western in that, it looked like she was on the cheerleading team, because she didn't appear to have to wear a burka or anything like that. I was just wondering if it was a strict household? I mean in what ways?
John Stemburger: Ah, certainly. It appeared that her father was encouraging all members of the family as adherent as possible under the circumstance. If you look at the two young girls that were killed in Texas in January of last year, they were modernized, they were not devout Muslims at all, and so in a lot of these situations you have kind of a tipping point where the child or the spouse becomes so westernized in a variety of ways or so unadherent to certain traditions or practices, that there's a tipping point and there's the ultimate demise.
Question: (UNCLEAR)
John Stemburger : We have literally gotten hundreds of communications from Christians who were former Muslims. We've gotten communications from a variety of types, people who just love her and want to pray for her, I mean it's really difficult to keep up with the influx of communications, but there's a number of people who have an interest in the matter.
Same Questioner: What about other Muslims (UNCLEAR)
John Stemburger: None specifically that I'm aware of. I'm sure that they are out there but none that I'm aware of.
Same Questioner: Has Rifqa been able to visit at all with her brother or her family..(UNCLEAR)
John Stemburger: The court allowed for her to visit with her younger brother after the last hearing, however for some reason that visitation never took place. It's possible that the parents just denied visitation with her, but we have no way of knowing why it did not go down.
Mike Schneider, Associated Press: Hi John, Mike Schneider from the Associated Press, I just hope that you could clarify something for me you said a few minutes ago about past beatings, what did you mean by that?
John Stemburger : Her father has slapped her with such force that just knocked her over. Her father asked her to wear the official headdress of Islam, and because she, I guess, lowered her body down in the car so she couldn't be seen, he punched her on the side of her face, with great force, because she was ashamed of that.
John Stemburger : I do not have that specific information, it's not in the affidavit, but it was in our original petition.
Mike Schneider Associated Press: Ok, thank you. Morry Radio: Thank you very much. Mr. Stemburger, what is Rifqa'a emotional and spiritual state right now, knowing all that has been at stake for her, in converting to Christianity? Where is she now in her spiritual journey, and how is she maintaining her faith despite the media attention and the horrendous threats presented to her life
John Stemburger : I have to tell ya that Rifqa is a remarkable young lady, she is petite in stature, almost stunningly petite, but she is robust and big in heart, and it's just, while she has great moments of fear and apprehension, has great hope and trust and joy. Her faith is very very real, much more than most of ours, and that's a great source of hope and comfort to her.
Morry Radio: What kind of a future is she looking at, remaining in foster care indefinitely, what will happen when she turns eighteen when other legal matters may present for her to live an independent life? What is the outlook of her future
John Stemburger: Those questions are beyond our, you know, the scope of this conference. Obviously her goal is trying to get the state to protect her, at least over the next year. Obviously when your free and you're a minor, you can hire body guards, you can move about on your own, you can protect yourself, you can move around to other parts of the country, you can freely go about in order to protect yourself. Because of the circumstance now, we're trying to get her to be , to remain under the custody of the state of Florida until she reaches the age of maturity.
Morry Radio: Ah, very good. And have other people shown interest in taking her under their wing, so to speak, into their households and would this be permissible?
John Stemburger: Right now the court has specific orders that she's to be in a licensed foster care home, and so that's where she will stay until the court orders a new location.
Thank you very much for participating in this conference, this is very important information, and we hope that you all will provide to the public, we believe that much of the coverage, but not all of it, but much of it has been one sided. And it's really been not focusing on the problem, and the problem is not Islam, the problem is Noor Center, because this in a unique mosque, that has unique beliefs and is extremely dangerous. Thank you very much for your time and for participating.

After today's bombshell press conference - Rifqa Bary's statement and mosque investigative report - there was not one, not two, but three CAIR-fused anti-Rifqa articles at the Orlando Sentinel today. Three. The shills at the Orlando Sentinel are on the warpath against Rifqa Bary. It's like watching a train wreck in slow moe. It is jaw dropping how vested the media is in advancing CAIR's fallacious narrative against Rifqa and those speaking in her defense. So much so they print the most ridiculous trash without so much as a question mark.
They ignore everything that validates Rifqa's claims.
Armaros wrote in a previous thread:
But what horse does the media have in this? Are they so afraid that their
kids might be lured into Christianity by on line predator missionaries?
.....they fear them more than AL Queda, as Al Queda was "exaggerated" by
Bush and Cheney. Christians are the enemy. Their bibles, guns and pick up
trucks. Hell if it weren't for them and "their president" Bush, Muslims would be
in deep love with us.
They have latched on to the religious euphoria, which Rifqa is obviously
exhibiting, and assume as if it was unique or somehow due to the Pastor couple
who have taken her in. All converts go through this phase. Especially if met
with such adversity which also happens to revolve around their new faith.
How many shills have we heard about John Walker Taliban Lindt? The
explanations for his "misguided yet well meaning" euphoria he felt about Islam
were so many I lost count. As well as concerns for his safety.
Will he be devoured by inmates in prison? Should he get extra
protection...?
And above all, how he must be able to continue practicing his faith. All
that while the real question should have been whether to hang him or shoot him
for his treason.
It is striking how the media let themselves be played. They ignore
everything and anything relating to the Barys. Nothing even seems odd to them.
Their suspicion is 100% with the other side. Not 60% or 80%. 100%.
The US immigration paper Pamela posted indicates that Mr Bary violated the
conditions required for permanent residency in the USA. That being, the 6 years
continuous presence on US territory. It appears from his own accounts that he
was going on business trips while he was supposed to stay put in the US. Not
that this makes one a murderer or reveal sinister things.
Still strikes
me as odd when papers so kindly miss this, and all the other shenanigans like if
this was the 08 election campaign.
I think the Bary side is already playing a field ahead. I believe they
resigned to the possibility that the Florida court will move in favor of a
child's welfare, especially given her age of 17. It will be judged that she was
old enough to assess danger if she saw it.
-At least I hope that.
So the Bary camp is already setting up the narrative for the next round.
For this they have enlisted the sympathetic, naive and politically correct
media. The narrative being, their poverty, misfortune and victim hood to
Islamophobia and a right wing christian conspiracy after the economic
misfortunes of Mr Bary having lost his shipment in 2001 and his unfair treatment
by the INS.
[Needless to say ..... the Barys were still renting
two homes, owned two businesses and traveled a lot. Up until the very end of
last month. Ignoring his business dissolution and distracting with this luggage
story says more about the journalism at the Sent and StP Times than the Bary
camp who is trying to win a fight.]
These new "revelations" are readying them to face off at a higher venue. This
is why they re feeding the media with these stories and this is why the
christianophobic liberal establishment is taking up their cause. Such cause
being based in a lie, that Rifqa was converted and brainwashed by child stealing
christian fanatics. Leaving behind in shatters the Bary family after all the
other injustices they have suffered, including being refused permanent status in
the USA because of silly and archaic immigration rules. Those "un american" rules
Pelosi was pontificating about when pimping herself for the "legalize them all"
crowd.
[Rifqa Bary] claimed in court documents Monday that her family's mosque in Ohio has
terrorist ties — a charge disputed by the Islamic center's leader.
What did the tools at the Sentinel expect? That the mosque would say, Oh yes, we are extremists tied to Hamas! Such stupidity takes the breath away. Here is the evidence of the terror ties here, here, and here.
In a 35-page memorandum filed Monday in
Orange County family court, attorney John Stemberger claims Fathima Rifqa Bary,
who will remain in foster care in Florida at least until a hearing on Thursday,
should not be returned to the custody of her parents, Mohamed and Aysha Bary,
because of their connection to the Noor Islamic Cultural Center near Columbus,
Ohio.
"The leader of the mosque, Dr. Hany Saqr,
was previously an imam for another area mosque at the same time the largest
known Al Qaeda cell in the U.S. since 9/11 was operating out of the mosque," the
document read. "Additionally, Dr. Saqr was identified in exhibits submitted by
the Department of Justice in a recent terrorism finance trial in Texas as being
one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America — an international
organization responsible for birthing virtually every Islamic terrorist
organization in the world, including Al Qaeda."
The center also is affiliated with Dr. Salah
Sultan, a "cleric alleged photographed with terrorist leaders designated as such
by the U.S. government," according to the document, and frequently hosts
"extremist speakers" who have allegedly made statements supporting violence and
terrorism.
Back to the dhimmi Sentinel:
Rifqa Bary, 17, said in a sworn statement her family regularly attended
gatherings at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in suburban Columbus,
Ohio, and her attorney said in a memo the mosque hosted extremist
speakers and supported a scholar with ties to the militant group Hamas.
One can only imagine what a Hamas ideologue mosque would do with a little girl like Rifqa Bary. I mean, think about it.
Hany Saqr, director of the Noor Center, refuted all the allegations raised by the
teenager's attorney.
Shocka!
[...]
"At our center we know that people accept Islam, some people accept
Christianity, some people accept Judaism," Saqr said. "Based on our
religion we think that there's no compulsion to religion. Everybody has
the right to choose whatever religion he wants to."
This is, of course, how Islamic groups in the U.S. have reacted to
every act of violence and every threat that any Muslim has issued in
recent years: they've raised fears of a non-existent "backlash" and
claimed they're being persecuted, rather than address the root causes
of the violence and brutality within their own community. And the
bemused, befuddled multiculturalists in the mainstream media go along
with it happily, every time.
The Orlando Sentinel has been engaging in a full-scale campaign to discredit Rifqa Bary and her defenders. Pamela Geller skewered a few of their recent propaganda pieces here, here, and here. And here's the Sentinel's latest fresh steaming pile of Rifqa coverage:
"Muslims fear runaway girl's case will fuel religious hatred," by Jeff Kunerth for the Orlando Sentinel, (more at Jihadwatch here)
Rifqa said, "My father was very intent on making sure that his
children, and especially me, were raised deeply in the faith of
'Original Islam' which was taught at the Noor Center"

There have been a good number of lies circulated by big media to counter what has recently been discovered about the Bary family finances. Today we saw the Orlando Sentinel paint the "doting father" - here is what Renee the rube reporter wrote in the Orlando Sentinel:
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Mohamed Bary is a doting Muslim father, intent on
giving his daughter the best education he can. But he says he made a
terrible mistake last October: He bought her a laptop computer.
A source very close to Rifqa told me that Rifqa bought that computer out of her
own money. It is so interesting (and disgusting) that the 'doting' dad is now claiming he should have never bought
the computer.
I am hearing that the Bary parents have a new legal team. Who is paying for that?
Rifqa told the judge she'd been a Christian for
four years. Her parents learned of her conversion a year ago — and that she had
kept her new faith a secret from them. She proclaimed herself a Christian on her
Facebook page in 2007.
People who know the Barys say Rifqa's allegations are crazy.
So these "people" say Rifqa is "crazy". Would you send Rifqa back to a town where they say she is crazy?
"There is no way this man would hurt his daughter," said Neil Javery,
52, a Hindu and family friend in Westerville, the Columbus suburb where
the Barys live.
[...]
Away from home, though, Rifqa was open about her
faith. She gathered with other students for "See you at the Pole," an annual
prayer service held at schools around the country. Until about three months ago,
she attended a youth group at the tiny Korean United Methodist Church in
Columbus.
She carried a Bible to class. That upset her parents, who told
her they were afraid — not that she had converted to another faith but that
she'd get in trouble for violating the separation of church and
state.
The devout parents were worried about the separation of church and state? Say what? And if it was so "safe" for Rifqa to practice her Christian faith, why did she run? Why did she spend 20 hours on a bus? Why would she speak of such abuse?
When Rifqa was born, her family was wealthy and lived in
Galle, Sri Lanka. They owned a large house and enjoyed the benefits of a driver,
a cook and a maid.
Rifqa was a tiny newborn, just 5 pounds, and very
quiet, Aysha Bary said. When Rifqa was 5, she fell onto a toy airplane. It left
her blind in the right eye.
This story is a lie. She did not fall.
Her father insisted she get medical care in
the United States. He feared her care would mean a long separation from his wife
and son, so he moved the family to Queens,
N.Y., in 2000.
In 2004, he moved them to the Columbus area because of its
excellent public schools.
By the time the Barys moved here, though, they
were no longer wealthy. Two months after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Mohamed
Bary was on a business trip, flying with a bag of gems, as he often did. This
time, the airline ordered him to check the bag. It was lost. It contained nearly
$400,000 worth of jewels, said David Leung, 48, of Worthington, Ohio, a close
family friend. Financially, the family has not recovered, he said.
Here is the same amount being cited in Mohamed Bary's application to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. His application was denied. I wonder why.
The Barys live in a small, two-bedroom
apartment and own one car, an 11-year-old Honda station wagon that has 225,000
miles on it.
A week ago, Rifqa's parents and brothers, ages 5 and 18,
climbed into that car and drove 16 hours to Orlando for a court hearing. They
had hoped the judge would order Rifqa back to Ohio.
What judge would order a child back to such a dangerous situation?
But by then thousands
of people had seen Rifqa on YouTube,
crying and saying that her father, because he is a Muslim, has no option but to
kill her for abandoning Islam. Gov. Charlie
Crist's office received hundreds of e-mails — much of it anti-Muslim —
urging him block her return to Ohio.
Anti-Muslim as opposed to life saving. How low will these trolls go?
He did not, but he sent his general
counsel, Rob Wheeler, and DCF Secretary George Sheldon to the Aug. 21 hearing.
While they sat watching, a DCF lawyer asked the judge to put off a decision on
returning Rifqa to Ohio until Sept. 3. He did.
DCF also asked the judge
to let the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigate whether Rifqa's
father and other Muslims in Columbus are a threat to her. The judge said yes to
that, as well.
FDLE agents and child welfare workers inspected the
family's home and questioned Rifqa's parents last week.
"I'm happy they
came," her father said. "We have nothing to hide."
He and his wife are
modern Muslims, he said. Now, during the holy month of Ramadan, a time of
prayer, they eat nothing between sunrise and sunset. Until this year Rifqa
fasted with them.
Their prayers this year, her father said, are that
Rifqa will come back to them.
"We want our daughter back home," he said.
"She can practice whatever religion she wants."
Salam
al-Marayati of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, a thoroughly
unpleasant character with whom I have appeared on many radio shows (on
which he invariably likens me to Osama bin Laden, although I have never
flown any planes into buildings, beheaded anyone, or exhorted anyone to
do so), attacks Rifqa Bary, the seventeen-year-old girl who converted
from Islam to Christianity and fled from her home and father after he
threatened to kill her (as she explains here), and her supporters in a contemptuous, dishonest, condescending and arrogant piece at the Huffington Post, "Rifqa, the Reverand [sic] and Apostasy" (August 18).
Hugh Fitzgerald and Andy Bostom have already weighed in on this utterly contemptible article, but I have a few things to add.
Al-Marayati is intent on impugning Rifqa's own testimony
in favor of her father's protestations that he does not intend to kill
her -- and indeed, it is her word against his, and the only price we
will have to pay if al-Marayati turns out to be wrong is a murdered
teenage girl. To support his case, al-Marayati makes essentially two
points, both encapsulated in this sentence: "Mohamed Bary allowed his
daughter to become a cheerleader and says she can practice any faith
she wants -- clearly, he is not a fundamentalist."
His first point is thus that Mohamed Bary, by allowing his daughter
to prance around in skimpy cheerleader costumes, clearly was not the
sort to insist on the finer points of Islamic law like the death
penalty for apostasy (which al-Marayati implies does not exist anyway,
so it's hard to see why it would be a feature of "fundamentalism" in
the first place). However, honor killing victims in the West have
invariably been girls who have been Westernized, adopting Western
non-Muslim mores to the growing dismay of their male relatives.
Al-Marayati's point is that if Mohamed Bary were a "fundamentalist," he
would not have allowed Rifqa to become Westernized in the
first place. Real life, however, is not always that simple. Honor
killing victims like Amina and Sarah Said in Texas and Aqsa Parvez in
Canada appear to been quite Westernized for a considerable period
before their relationships with their fathers reached a tipping point,
and they were murdered. Rifqa Bary fled before that could happen, but
the fact that she was a hijab-less cheerleader indicates nothing.
Pamela Geller explains further in responding to the same claim from Mike Thomas of the Orlando Sentinel:
Victims are generally beautiful, Westernized, and dressed
in a manner that perhaps Thomas would term “provocative.” Muslim girls
who live in the West lead two lives. Amina and Sarah Said, allegedly
murdered by their father in Texas on New Year’s Day 2008 for having
non-Muslim boyfriends, were honor students, star athletes, soccer
players, tennis players, etc. Rifqa was the same way in Ohio before she
fled. These girls led double lives. The murder always happens when the
family sees they have lost control of the child.
Al-Marayati's second point is that, contrary to Rifqa's own claim, the Qur'an says nothing about killing apostates:
She claims that her parents "love God more than me" and
therefore have to perform an honor killing on her. She argues "it's in
the Quran". No it's not, sweet little Rifqa. It's not in the Quran.
Whoever told you that is either ignorant or a liar. You should look it
up yourself before claiming it's in the Quran.
Rev. Lorenz is then quoted in a local television station report
saying that if a Muslim leaves his religion and does not return to
Islam in a couple of days, then he must be killed. He claims that
someone showed him the verse. There is no such verse, Rev. Lorenz. In
every faith, apostasy is shunned but ultimate judgment is left to God,
not people.
Two things are being confused here: honor killing and the death
penalty for apostasy. Honor killing is not discussed directly in the
Qur'an, although it is given strong implicit support by 18:74, 80-81,
when the mysterious figure known in Islamic tradition as Khidr,
traveling with the prophet Moses, kills a young man Moses terms
"innocent" (18:74). Khidr explains: "And as for the lad, his parents
were believers and we feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion
and disbelief. So we desired that their Lord would give them in
exchange (a son) better in purity (of conduct) and closer in
affection." The young man is murdered because he is an unbeliever, so
that his parents may be given a believing child in exchange. (Why the
unbelieving son has to be killed before the believing son can be given
to them is not explained.) Thus the precedent is set: a child who is an
unbeliever is killed for his unbelief.
The death penalty for apostasy is found more directly in the Qur'an
-- Islamic authorities generally root it in two Qur'anic verses, 2:217
and 4:89, as Hugh has noted. Here is 2:217:
They ask thee concerning fighting in the Prohibited Month.
Say: "Fighting therein is a grave (offence); but graver is it in the
sight of Allah to prevent access to the path of Allah, to deny Him, to
prevent access to the Sacred Mosque, and drive out its members." Tumult
and oppression are worse than slaughter. Nor will they cease fighting
you until they turn you back from your faith if they can. And if any of
you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will
bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be
companions of the Fire and will abide therein.
What does it mean that the works of those who "turn back from their
faith and die in unbelief" will "bear no fruit in this life" as well as
in the next? Let's go for an answer to the Tafsir al-Qurtubi, a classic and thoroughly mainstream exegesis of the Qur'an. About 2:217, Qurtubi says this:
Scholars disagree about whether or not apostates are asked
to repent. One group say that they are asked to repent and, if they do
not, they are killed. Some say they are given an hour and others a
month. Others say that they are asked to repent three times, and that
is the view of Malik. Al-Hasan said they are asked a hundred times. It
is also said that they are killed without being asked to repent.
Did you notice one option that Qurtubi never mentions? That's right:
he never says anything like "some say the apostate should not be
killed." The only point of contention seems to be how long the Muslim
must wait before he kills the apostate.
Meanwhile, 4:89 says this:
They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and
thus be on the same footing (as they). But take not friends from their
ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (from what is forbidden). But
if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them;
and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.
Just for the record, Rifqa had no laptop when she converted four years ago.
Rifqa Bary says: "And
I had a laptop and he took that laptop and waved it in the air and he
was about to beat me with it, and he said, 'If you have this Jesus in
your heart, you’re dead to me. You’re not my daughter.' And I refused
to speak but he said, 'I will kill you. Tell me the truth.' In these
words, bad words, cuss words. So I knew that I had to get away.
The deception to cover and advance Islam is staggering over at the dhimmi Sentinel. Decrying Christian extremists and diabolical laptops, everyone and everything is to blame, but Islam and the laws mandating the death penalty for apostasy are never called into question. This is Nazi propaganda.
And this is the case they are going to make to the courts. There is a reason such trash is being printed. The Huffington Post printed a giant lie about apostasy today in regards to Rifqa (look for Spencer's piece later on that).
Let me first digress and dispense with Al-Maryati’s crudely unsophisticated taqiya [3]. Yes, despite Al-Maryati’s denial, apostasy is mentioned in the Koran—Koran 4:89 [4] most prominently—and the punishment is death, as noted for example by two of the most important classical Koranic exegetes, Baydawi and Ibn Kathir, in their commentaries on this verse. Al-Maryati’s crude taqiya fully ignores the fact that punishment by death for apostasy from Islam is firmly rooted in all the most holy Muslim texts—both the Koran, and the hadith—as well as the sacred Islamic Law (the Shari’a). Koran 4:89 [4] states, “They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.” (Andrew Bostom)
When it comes to the welfare of a minor child, you err on the side of caution. But not according to the shills in the media. This has nothing to do with years of abuse and shariah law; the laptop made her do it. Anyone, anything, but never dare speak ill of Islam
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Mohamed Bary is a doting Muslim father, intent on
giving his daughter the best education he can. But he says he made a
terrible mistake last October: He bought her a laptop computer.
Because of that laptop and access to the Internet, he says he lost his daughter to Christian extremists.
If that were true, why would she make up all that stuff? And if he is so doting, why would she run away at all? And if she is such a Christian, she wouldn't lie so. Lying is not part of Christianity. There is no taqiya in Christianity.
Fathima Rifqa Bary, 17, is 800 miles away, living with a Christian
foster family in the Orlando area. She is a runaway who has become a
cause célèbre among evangelical Christians.
But I'm Jewish.
She fled Ohio last month,
saying her father had threatened to kill her because she had converted
to Christianity.
Not true, Mohamed Bary said.
"I still cannot believe she would think that," he said.
But somebody planted that idea in her head, and he is convinced it was someone she met on the Internet.
Facebook,
an online social network in which users select "friends" from anywhere
and everywhere, is where Rifqa met Blake and Beverly Lorenz, the
Orlando husband-and-wife minister team who took her in after she ran
away.
In the weeks before she fled, her parents noticed she would sleep all day and stay up all night exploring the Internet.
Until this spring, Rifqa was a model student, an obedient
daughter. She earned good grades, worked part-time at a Chinese
restaurant and called home even if she were running just 10 minutes
late.
But about the time school ended in May, she began all-night Facebook
sessions. She started withdrawing from family members and longtime
friends, her parents said.
Many of her chats were with evangelical Christians, her father said. They turned her against him, he said.
People who know the Barys say Rifqa's allegations are crazy.
"There is no way this man would hurt his daughter," said Neil Javery,
52, a Hindu and family friend in Westerville, the Columbus suburb where
the Barys live.
Aysha Bary is a stay-at-home mom who speaks little English but breaks into tears over what has happened.
What about the business she runs? Why no mention of Custom Bridal Veil?
"My heart goes out to them," said Holly Easton
of Plain City, Ohio, who owns a wedding gown business and pays Rifqa's
mother to stitch beads onto gowns. "It's horrible. ... I hope they're
able to reconcile, and she comes home and they can be a family again."
The Barys are not radical Muslims, friends and associates say. Their household is as normal as any other.
"It's just typical," Easton said. "Kid comes in, looks at parents, rolls her eyes and goes upstairs."
How would Easton know? Do we take some plant's word over Rifqa? Read the whole bloody mess so you can see what Rifqa and, frankly, the whole of the West is up against.
No surprise here, but it is revealing of how Islamists hope to frame the Rifqa Bary argument. Read the letter by Ahmed M. Rehab Executive director, Council on American-Islamic Relations, to Mike Thomas, breathtaking shill for the leftist Islamic alliance (my take here).
Does un-indicted co-conspirator CAIR mention the death threat to Rifqa? Does un-indicted co-conspirator CAIR discuss apostasy in Islam? Does un-indicted co-conspirator CAIR discuss Rifqa's fears? Does un-indicted co-conspirator CAIR speak to the danger Rifqa is in? Nah. It's all about "nuance," "perception," insulting the ummah, etc. Nothing about the minor child's abuse, fear or peril. What a sleight of the hand, eh?
It is amusing and ironic that Ahmed Rehab would dare invoke the "public's ignorance of Islamic history, culture and
contemporary affairs" and of Islam's 1,400 year history. It is that very ignorance that makes possible the advancement of mendacious, fallacious and utterly wrong propaganda such as his. Bat Ye'or, the world's leading scholar of Islam, describes the 1,400 years this way: "over a millennium of jihad wars, land expropriations,
enslavements, and humiliations of the conquered non-Muslim populations on three
continents."
Even the headline is a complete lie. "Rare"? The media never questions Islam, its teachings, misogyny, and violent acts. It promotes the taqiyya. Name the last time you saw Ibn Warraq, Dr. Andrew Bostom, Wafa Sultan, Robert Spencer, etc. in the mainstream media. Name one media outlet that published the Danish cartoons. Who is the victim and who is the victimized?
Thomas's column on teen rare for Muslims ...I
was pleasantly surprised to note the level of perception and nuance in
Mike Thomas's column about Fathima Rifqa Bary ("Anti-Muslim bias
obvious in girl's case," Orlando Sentinel, Sunday).
Such professional journalism is sorely missing from the usual media
treatment of Muslim-related articles that are too willing to assume the
worst.
Thomas is absolutely correct; the mass incrimination of Muslims is
common practice in places where it would be far-fetched for followers
of other faiths. Muslims receive special flak, not only because we have
nut cases in our religion that have given our religion a bad name —
though nut cases exist in all faiths — but because the media's coverage
of Muslims seems to be limited to those nut cases.
Pundits often portray Islam as a crazy, murderous cult. Because
they rely on the public's ignorance of Islamic history, culture and
contemporary affairs, they do not have to be bothered about their
simpleton views being irreconcilable with 1,400 years of solid
civilization by Muslims from China to Spain, or with the fact that 7
million American Muslims live among their neighbors in this country as
proud, upright citizens.
For those pundits who are pressured to reconcile the two, the
escape clause then becomes, "American Muslims may seem admirable on the
outside, but they are really stealth jihadists on the inside." And so
Rifqa's parents are judged not by who they are but by what the pundits
say they are.
This serial mischaracterization will not be duly challenged unless more
columnists exhibit the journalistic integrity and cultural smarts of
the likes of Mike Thomas.

The leftist Islamic alliance is pulling out all the stops to crush the power of authenticity, the gospel truth, the word of a just turned 17 year old girl, Rifqa Bary. The Islamic spin machine was slow on the media spin uptake, as they thought for sure that they had the cat (or in this case Rifqa) in the bag when they went into the jurisdiction hearing on Friday. They assumed Rifqa would be sent back to Ohio and dealt with accordingly.
But the candor and integrity in this girl's desperate plea set freedom loving people alight. Furious flurries of emails, faxes, and phone calls from blog readers, talk radio listeners, etc., were frantically made in a lifesaving plea for this brave girl's life. And G-d bless, she was saved (in more ways than one). And if you haven't dashed off a note of thanks to Governor Crist, by all means do it.
But now, the cultural jihadists and their infiltrators are furiously at work. The media puppets are called to do their masters' bidding. And so they are. I called the shills over at The Orlando Sentinel to task here and here and here. But that was only the beginning. That was small taters.
Now, a larger context comes into play. Those who question the violent teachings of Muhammad are being painted with the racist brush. The objective is to smear those who dare speak the truth and validate, with scholarship and historic evidence and accuracy, Rifqa Bary's claims. The left's weapon - ridicule and smear. If you destroy a person, their analysis and work is destroyed as well, rendered worthless.
Today, Kos, the largest left-wing blog on the net, went after "anti-Muslim" blogs and pundits. Robert Spencer, best selling author of nine books (his latest is "The Complete Infidel's Guide to the Koran," which is about to hit the book stores), renowned scholar on Islam and great friend of Atlas, beheaded Kos's fallacious and intellectually dishonest argument.
This is the strategy. It is no accident that Kos decided to do a counter jihad smear today. You can't attack a little girl every day and rally the folks. So now it's time to take down her defenders.
Leftist/Jihadist Alliance Update: "LoonWatch Explores the Underworld of Anti-Muslim Blogging," by Devon Moore at the Daily Kos, August 24:
The anti-Muslim blogosphere is a cesspool of some of the most vile hatred and misinformation on the internet.
It is not "hate" to report accurately on how Islamic jihadists use
Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence against non-Muslims.
Nor is it "anti-Muslim" to do so. If the Kos gang is interested in
actual "hate," they should write about those who kill unbelievers and
oppress women in the name of Sharia. It is not "hate" to defend the
equality of rights of women with men, freedom of speech, and other
rights that are denied under Sharia.
The anti-Muslims cover a wide spectrum though most can be
found slithering in the Right-Wing. They range from academics such as
Daniel Pipes, self-declared scholars like Robert Spencer and his
JihadWatch, to open racists such as Debbie Schlussel, Pamela Geller and
the blog Gates of Vienna.
"Open racists"? When the Left can't argue (which is most of the
time), they smear and lie. Schlussel and Geller are freedom fighters,
warriors for human rights. Only to a Leftist would that be "racist."
They are not open racists or closet racists or any kind of racists.
It should be noted that the anti-Muslim blogosphere is not
a monolith, they come from various, mostly conservative backgrounds but
are only united by a hatred of Islam and Muslims. So it is no surprise
that this bloc has in the past turned on one another. The most glaring
feud being the one between Charles Johnson (Little Green Footballs) and
JihadWatch's Robert Spencer; a feud that broke out over whether or not
the anti-Muslims should join forces with European neo-fascists.
Just for the record, the "feud" did not break out over "whether or
not the anti-Muslims should join forces with European neo-fascists." It
broke out over a couple of weblinks.
No one was or is saying that anti-jihadists (which is not the same
thing as "anti-Muslims") should join forces with European neo-fascists.
The question was whether one could find wanting Johnson's "proof" that
certain groups were actually neo-fascist without in turn being defamed
as a neo-fascist and racist by Johnson. The answer turned out to be no.
But the issue here was never whether anyone should ally with genuine
European neo-fascists. Of course no one should.
Various websites have taken up the task of chronicling the
exploits and breaking down the hate of the anti-Muslim blogosphere.
There is Islamophobia-Watch, Islamophobia.org, and a few others though
none seem to be as organized, or updated as their opponents. However,
LoonWatch, a site that I have been following since I learned about it
over 3 months ago and which I have featured as an editor of the Islam
page on Topix is one site that gives the anti-Muslims a run for their
money.
For one, they aren't defensive, instead they satirize and poke fun
at the lunacy that is Islamophobia such as: blaming every negative
piece of news from the Middle East on Islam, calls for nuking Mekka,
the stereotypes of the subjugation of covered women, evil Muslim cells
lurking around the corner, leftists colluding with Muslim terrorists,
etc.
They "satirize and poke fun." In other words, they can't answer the
arguments presented (not that I do the things enumerated above in the
first place). It's straight out of the Left's playbook. As Alinsky put
it in Rules for Radicals, "RULE 5: 'Ridicule is man's most
potent weapon.' There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating.
It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into
concessions."
I am pointing this out to you because this is a campaign that is being waged by the left and the islamists to attempt to control the damage by one little girl who dared to tell the truth. And this is just the beginning. It will not end. In order to destroy Rifqa, they must destroy the truth. In order to destroy the truth, they must destroy the truth tellers.
Not surprisingly, Rifqa is turning into a cause célèbre. Conservative
websites often accused of anti-Muslim agendas, such as the Jawa Report,
Atlas Shrugs and WorldNetDaily, have been lighting up over the Rifqa
fight. No doubt conservative and anti-U.S. Muslim will eventually step
into the media frenzy.
Rifqa is an apostate in America. The icon of freedom vs shariah. In an Islamic country, she would be history. In America? Well, that is what is at play here, is it not?
...a secret strategy meeting conducted by
the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) earlier this week has
conveyed the strategy that the media's favorite Islamist group has
devised to respond to the ongoing public relations crisis. According to
my source who attended the strategy session, CAIR officials handed out
copies of this Orlando Sentinel article
and want supporters to push the meme that Christians have brainwashed
and abducted this gullible teenage girl. They have also instructed
supporters to circulate rumors that Rifqa had been carousing with
infidel boys and engaged in acts of immorality. This CAIR strategy
takes the focus off the near-universal Islamic legal precepts and
Quranic injunctions that demand death for apostates
and impugns the character of the innocent girl at the center of this
controversy who appears to be in genuine fear for her life if she is
returned to her parents.
Rifqa Bary faces death
for her apostasy from Islam, while the media ignores the solid
religious and institutional grounding for the practice. Today. In
America.
Magdi Allam, is an intrepid Egyptian-born writer and vociferous critic of jihadism who was publicly converted to Christianity from Islam by Pope Benedict XVI
during an Easter eve service in St Peter's Basilica broadcast
worldwide, Saturday March 22, 2008. Writing at the time of his public
apostasy, Allam highlighted the West's weakness and flaccidity,
foremost, its stifling multiculturalism.
Allam
decried the multicultural ethos for blandly asserting the "equality" of
cultural and religious mores, even abjuring rational criticism of
Islamic religious bigotry -- such as authoritative Islam's living, consensus jurisprudence
that those who apostasize from Islam must be killed -- lest the tender
sensibilities of Muslims be offended. He noted how in his adopted
homeland of Italy, every Muslim can go to a mosque, but in the Muslim
world there is ongoing and long-standing discrimination against
religious minorities -- notably Christians -- entirely ignored by
Western multiculturalists, of all ilks. Allam observed, moreover, the perverse phenomenon that in Western countries,
"When
a Westerner decides to convert to Islam, that's fine, but when a Muslim
converts to Christianity, it is suddenly the end of the world. Everyone
condemns him, as though he has done something of which he should be
ashamed."
"I
say that it is time to put an end to the abuse and the violence of
Muslims who do not respect the freedom of religious choice. In Italy
there are thousands of converts to Islam who live their new faith in
peace. But there are also thousands of Muslim converts to
Christianity who are forced to hide their faith out of fear of being
assassinated by Islamic extremists who lurk among us. If in
Italy, in our home, the cradle of Catholicism, we are not prepared to
guarantee complete religious freedom to everyone, how can we ever be
credible when we denounce the violation of this freedom elsewhere in
the world."
The unassuming and previously unknown Rifqa Bary,
has now become, arguably, America's most conspicuous apostate from
Islam to Christianity. Truncated, grossly warped media depictions of
her plight demonstrate that the American chattering classes remain
stubbornly unwilling to even acknowledge, let alone confront Islam's
malevolent doctrinal intolerance, ignoring Magdi Allam's plaintive appeal.
Just for knowing, Rifqa Bary is the most courageous person I know. I stand in awe of her and will protect her right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as steadfastly as I would protect my own.
These assclowns will be exposed every time they pull this. It looks awfully bad to keep going after a little girl. Even these depraved evildoers know that. So they alternate -- ruin the girl, then ridicule the truth tellers. Labels, labels, labels. "Racist!" "Anti-Muslim Bigot!" "Islamophobe!"
Those intrepid geniuses over at The Orlando Sentinel are working overtime! They haven't gotten off their fat asses and done any work, mind you. But they are running more ads, asking you to do their work for them again on the Rifqa Bary case -- especially the anti-Muslim angle, as opposed to the "save the girl's life" take.
May I recommend that my expert readers and pundits contact the vegetables and leftools at the O.S. and see if you can edumacate 'em some :)
6. RELIGION: Teenage Convert
from Islam to Christianity Seeking Sanctuary -- Orlando Sentinel (FL)
I'm seeking expert insight (e-mail observations are welcome) regarding an
Ohio teenager who ran away to Florida, saying she was afraid her father would
kill her for converting from Islam to Christianity. She had been living with a
husband/wife pastor team, whom she met through a prayer group on Facebook. They
took her in after she ran away, rode a bus from Ohio and popped up unannounced
in Orlando. I'm looking to discuss the prevailing issues of sanctuary, religious
freedom, anti-Muslim bias, honor killings, jurisdiction, propriety of clergy
housing a teenage runaway, etc. The full story is found at:

UPDATE: Atlas Reader David H has more knowledge in his pinky toenail than all of the useful idiots at the Orlando Sentinel. David was responding to this editorial in the Orlando Sentinel
Mr. Thomas, your article asks a number of questions and also contains some inaccurate information. I will do what I can to address all the issues I take with it. First, I am not personally involved in the case with the exception of advocating the life liberty and pursuit of happiness for Rifqa Bary. I take the position of not returning Rifqa to her parents or Ohio based on 10 years of living and working with the officials and local populations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. I have also visited Jordan, Egypt and Kuwait for periods of three to four weeks.. I have taught Middle Eastern Studies at a government institution.
First, calling the struggle to protect Rifqa Bary a “Second Crusade” shows a lack of history as well as a lack of objectivity on your part. The Crusades were an attempt to retake land and sites sacred to Christianity that had been conquered and occupied by the Muslims since the 760's CE. To equate the attempts to retake those lands with genuine concern for a young lady's safety is ludicrous. The Crusades were bloody as were the wars wages by Muslims both prior to and following the Crusades. The efforts to safeguard Rifqa Bary are peaceful and with the intent to prevent bloodshed.
The claim that her father wants to murder Rifqa is a serious allegation and one that needs to be taken seriously by the authorities. If you look at the recent honor murders in the US, Canada and other countries you will find that in many cases there was no report of violence with the perpetrators' until the actual murder, so you have to ask yourself what prompted the murderous act? They all came about because a female member of the family crossed a line in Islam that demanded their death as punishment. In Islam the concept of shame holds the same significance as guilt does for Christians. Usually the attack occurs when something the female has done becomes public knowledge and this public "shame", whether it was filing for divorce, a pregnancy brought about by rape or public knowledge of a relationship with non-Muslims, no matter how innocent, is what sparks the murder.
In bringing up the Elian Gonzalez case you are incorrect. According to Federal law, once that child reached our shores, he was entitled to stay in the US. Elian was sent back by a Justice Department and Administration wanting to curry favor with the Marxist regime in Havana. Do you really think that Elian's father had a free choice in whether he asked for him to be returned or not? Your words used in the Terri Shiavo case shows your bias. Where was it proved that her mind was not working? The husband's lack of following his stated purpose for the settlement should at least have been cause for further scrutiny by the press, funny how no serious follow-up investigations occurred.
The stereotyping Mr. Thomas, is being done by you. You extrapolate the concern for Rifqa's life into an attack on all Muslims. Should all Christians now attack you, Rene Stutzman and the Orlando Sentinel for the "insult to all of Christianity" you have made in questioning the motives of the pastor and the alleged hatred that Christians bear for Muslims? Yet this is the rationale you use in saying that the concern for Rifqa's safety is an attack on all Muslims.
In your article I do not see any concern for Rifqa's safety whatsoever. You throw out her concerns due to your and most of America's ignorance or complicity with Islamic doctrine and values. If Rifqa was trying to get away from her family's strict Christian of Jewish beliefs (even there would be no threat to her life as you have admitted in your article) you would be championing her cause. Why is it in all of these proceedings you do not wish to possibly err on the side of caution? Do you not understand that the dictate to murder Rifqa is incumbent on every member of the Islamic community and not just her parents? You admit you do not know the Bary family dynamics, yet you are willing to risk Rifqa's life on your ignorance, how generous of you.
The state of Ohio has the 9th largest Muslim population in the US, following close behind Texas, Virginia, Michigan and Indiana. The Noor Islamic Center is a documented center of Jihadist support. If Ohio's public servants are so ignorant and inept that they can not perform the mental arithmetic to conclude that a community that hosts speakers who want to turn this country into an Islamic state with the possibility that they will also follow the other tenants of their doctrine, then those authorities DO need to be investigated. If you have not investigated the Noor Islamic Center and discovered their Jihadist ties, then shame on you.
As for the activities that Rifqa has been allowed to participate in at school: this is where each family has exercised leeway, at least in countries not ruled by Islamic governments. A vast number of Muslim men living in countries like the US do set different standards for their daughters' conduct. But once that line is crossed, the response is deadly. For the Said sisters in Texas, it was dating non-Muslim boys that prompted their father to shoot them and leave them dying in his cab on New Year's Eve two year ago. For Muzzammil Hassan it was his wife filing for divorce that caused the man who had founded a TV station dedicated to showing how moderate Muslims are, to chop off her head. Rifqa has alleged that her father threatened to murder her. Do you think that her father is going to come out and admit this freely? Especially when it is permissible for him in the Koran to lie to Non-Muslims?
According to Rifqa, her parent only recently found out about her becoming a Christian, again you are taking sides instead of presenting Rifqa's side of the story as well. You sarcasm is really inappropriate, your analysis one dimensional and your investigation non-existent. So I will help you a little. First, the Bary's have sold their jewelry business. Why would they choose this moment to liquidate their assets and have a ready reserve of cash on hand? Since Rifqa is a minor she can be taken back to Sir Lanka or another Muslim country and murdered there, where even if the father does turn himself over to the police, the sentence will be light. Rifqa could "run away again" and in fact be taken away by several young men from the Mosque, this time never to be heard from again. The sorrowful parents would then garner sympathy from the press and country about how they did everything possible but "that Christian cult must have taken her away". All you have to do is look at other murder cases which involve family members as the perpetrator or accessory, including those who have fooled authorities for months or years. A certain former policeman with deceased ex-wives and a missing wife comes to mind...
Comparing the followers of the Koran to Christians not following the dictates of the Old Testament is another false analogy. Christian doctrine for the most part does not follow most of the dictates of the Old Testament, not in the calendar, holidays, personal or congregational practices. There is nothing in western Christian teachings that calls for members of the faith to kill those who leave the faith certainly not in the New Testament and not in theological writings of mainstream Christianity for the last several hundred years. But killing apostates does exist in the Koran and in the teachings and commentaries throughout the history of Islam and are currently endorsed by Islamic Religious leaders and institutions around the world.. Evidence of its practice can be seen almost daily around the world if you care to look. Anything that can be seen as an affront to Islam can result in death, especially when it comes to women.
hear is an example: Last year in Pakistan three teenage girls announced that they would go to the magistrate and file proceedings that would allow them to marry whoever they wished. The mother and aunt walked with them to the magistrate. They were intercepted by an official car carrying the uncle and several men. All the women were shot and buried alive along the road. Their uncle is a member of the Benazir Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples’ Party in Baluchistan Province. One of the PPP’s MP in the national Parliament even spoke out in favor of the murders saying it was justified.
I am not saying every Muslim abides by the "dark saying of their faith". What I am saying is that those who attend Muslim controlled education have these ideas drilled into their heads to some extent. Whenever "shame" is brought to the family by a female, the inclination is to remove the stain from the family honor. This inclination is reinforced to the same extent that the larger Islamic community surrounds and exerts control over the family. This is the true danger of sending Rifqa back to Ohio, especially since the authorities are clueless as to what they are dealing with.
My question to you is where is your concern for Rifqa to be protected from Islamic religious teachings and does the rule of law apply to her rights as well? The rule of law has not prevented honor murders yet, just as it has not stopped murders for any other reason. Once the crime is committed, any concern or outrage will be too late to help the victim.
Here is a "French" take on media malfeasance in the Rifqa Bary coverage. Nidra Poller responds to this Atlas post exposing the shills over at the Orlando Sentinel:
Dear Pamela, I wanted to give Amy Edwards a chance to reply to my letter
before eventually forwarding a copy to you. But to my surprise and astonishment
I received an "out of office" reply.
Rifqa Barry's case is going to be heard
today, and the journalist who is "covering" it for
the Orlando Sentinel isn't available until Monday. She asked people to send her
information...and closed her doors and windows.
So here is the letter, which you are free to
publish.
I understand that you have been covering the
Rifqa Bary case. You claim that there have been exaggerations "on both sides." I
assume that you don't know how these situations are handled in
France.
We have the largest Muslim population of any
western European country. France has made major concessions to Muslim demands on
all levels while at the same time taking a firm stand on certain questions, such
as the prohibition of hijab in public schools and government
offices.
Both sides, you might say, are discontented. No
matter how many accomodations made by French authorities, the Muslim Brotherhood
is never satisfied . But liberated free-thinking Muslim French women are
constantly urging the government to offer greater protectionagainst extremists
who want to impose sharia.
That, in a few brief words, is the context.
Now for the specifics: on the question of runaway
Muslim girls and women, French authorities consistently provide refuge.
Offering refuge to Muslim girls and women who flee oppression and death threats
from their families is so commonplace it rarely gets into the news. I can't
imagine a French social worker refusing to believe that the woman'who seeks
refuge is not truly in danger.
Because we have a huge Muslim population and
extensive experience with these situations, the danger of "honor" killings is
taken seriously. Runaway girls and women are housed in secret locations where
family members can not reach them.
Rifqa Bary would be given refuge without a sliver
of a doubt.
Muslim families often try to marry their teenage
daughters to men in the home country during school vacations. When the girl's
classmates--Muslim or not--suspect this has happened because the girl doesn't
return to school after the vacation, they report it to the authorities who
investigate and intervene when necessary. These Muslim girls are French
citizens--as Rifqa Bary is American. As citizens they are entitled to the
protection of French authorities. Whatever their origin or religious beliefs,
families do not have the right to deprive their children of the freedom granted
to all citizens.
It is curious to observe the ignorance of
American authorities and media on such fundamental issues. And it is troubling
to see that the freedom of a young woman is taken so lightly in the United
States, the land of liberty.
Salman Rushdie, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Geert Wilders ........ these truth tellers live under 24-hour guard because of Islamic death threats against them, which they received because they spoke the truth about Islam. Rifqa Bary's crime of apostasy is far worse. Her testimony is far more egregious.
Rifqa Bary is the highest value target in America. She should be under 24 hour guard. Period.
There is an almost incomprehensible, misogynist column over at the Orlando Sentinel that is so inaccurate, so misinformed, so dangerous, that "columnist" Mike Thomas ought to be charged with incitement to violent honor killing.
This tool, who wrote this at the behest of his masters, got nothing right. Not one detail. Further, at no point did he consider Rifqa's testimony. At no point did he consider the consequences of Rifqa's testimony. At no point did he consider the risk to Rifqa's life.
Mike Thomas decries an "anti-Muslim" bias in the media coverage. I posit the opposite. There is an anti-Christian bias. They are vilifying the good Christians who provided sanctuary to Rifqa, who sought only to escape a promised violent end. They have been reporting only the parents' Islamist narrative -- giving Rifqa's story no air time or ink. They repeat the lies over and over again. Folks have to go to you tube to hear Rifqa in her own words. Why has not one media outlet had on an expert/scholar on apostasy in Islam? Why hasn't Ibn Warraq or Wafa Sultan been called? This borders on
criminal. I heard that the completely uninformed Walid Phares was on today.
The man is a political pundit, he is clueless. Robert Spencer, wherefore
art thou? The only responsible expert who weighed in was Frank Gaffney here.
Not one scholar on Islam. Anywhere.
The Islamic machinery is in full swing. The ruling on Friday was
unexpected. They never expected that G-d, Rifqa and the people would
prevail upon the powers that be in Florida. So now they are in
overdrive. Just watch.
CAIR officials handed out copies of this Orlando Sentinel article and want
supporters to push the meme that Christians have brainwashed and abducted this
gullible teenage girl.
Dr. Andrew Bostom states in tomorrow's American Thinker, "Rifqa Bary’s public apostasy from Islam is a watershed event which will
gauge just how far into the depths of stultifying Islamic correctness we have
descended".
Fathima Rifqa Bary is playing a familiar role in Florida's latest cultural
clash, a symbol who personalizes a much broader conflict.
Claiming her
Muslim father is going to kill her for converting to Christianity, Rifqa fled
her Ohio home and was taken in initially by Blake and Beverly Lorenz, who head
the Global Revolution Church. Blake has been quoted as saying Christians are at
war with Islam and that Islam is evil. And those who share that view have
embraced this case.
It brings back memories of Elián González, the Cuban
boy whose arrival in Miami caused a furor as the exile community tried to block
his father from bringing Elián back to the island. And then there was the
right-to-life battle over Terri Schiavo, waged between her parents, who wanted
to maintain her mindless body on a feeding tube, and her husband, who wanted the
tube removed.
And the left was wrong on both issues. Elián Gonzalez was never given a shot. Clinton went in there with guns and kidnapped this child from his loved ones. His mother died trying to escape Fidel's Cuba. It was a crime against humanity to send Elián back to that hellhole.
And Terry Schiavo was murdered by the left. Murdered. Are they bragging that they ripped this girl from her loving family's arms and killed her? (Check out all of Atlas Shrugs' Terri Schindler Schiavo coverage here). The left loves to instruct us on whose life is valuable and whose is not.
It's clear that Mike Thomas is a mental vegetable, but you don't hear me advocating for euthanasia in his case :)
Rifqa, 17, is a symbol for those who believe we are
fighting Round 2 of the Crusades.
For them, the stereotype falls perfectly into
place: Conniving Muslim extremist plans to murder his innocent daughter for
turning to Jesus.
The case went to court last week. And in a rather
surprising twist, rather than send Rifqa back to Ohio, Circuit Judge Daniel
Dawson decided to investigate Ohio. And so the Florida Department of Law
Enforcement is off to determine her survival chances there.
And in a "rather surprising twist," Governor Crist stepped in to save a child's life. SHOCKING!
One assumes
this had something to do with the intervention of Gov. Charlie
Crist, who faces a conservative challenge from Marco Rubio
in the Republican U.S. Senate
primary. Not to be left out, Rubio promptly issued a statement in support of
Rifqa and spammed it to the media.
Left unanswered is what business
Florida has involving itself in this matter. The people best suited to determine
the threat level to Rifqa are the cops and social workers in Ohio familiar with
the Bary family and the Muslim community. It appeared they had worked out a good
compromise plan, allowing Rifqa to go into foster care while they ensured her
safety.
Yes, that's why Florida needs to investigate. The corruption of Ohio law enforcement deserves a special prosecutor. OHIO Law Enforcement COVER-UP on Rifqa Bary's Abuse. A police officer involved in this case from Columbus told my source that he had talked to 20 people, and almost all 20 said she was in fear for her life. One
of Rifqa's out of state friends used to talk to Rifqa frequently on the
phone. She said they had to use code words (that they had established
earlier) when talking about Christianity, so that her parents would not know
what she was saying on the phone.
And one of Rifqa's teachers said she knew
Rifqa's life was in danger, but became very frightened when told by the
school to "stay out of this"...
If there is evidence that the folks in Ohio are incompetent and
need Florida's assistance, I would like to hear it.
I just presented it, asshat. And it was published here and also here by International Christian Concern. Why don't you get off your fat ass and get to Ohio and do something really cutting edge - like questioning Rifqa's friends or doing some actual reporting?
I do not know the
Bary family's dynamics.
Bingo! Investigate, man!
From what I have read, Rifqa's father, Mohamed
Bary, brought his family to America from Sri Lanka in 2000, at least in part to
seek medical treatment for Rifqa after she lost the sight in one eye.
Did Mike Thomas bother to find out the circumstances behind the loss of the eye? Does Thomas know that Rifqa was forced to lie by her parents on how she lost that eye?
He
sends her to a top high school, where she has excelled and where she is a
cheerleader.
Somehow I can't imagine a Muslim extremist allowing his
daughter to wear short skirts and shake pompoms in front of a crowd of
infidels.
This is America, the West. Not an advanced Islamic state (at least not yet). You knew this was coming because Thomas is utterly clueless. This man knows nothing of honor killings in the West. Look at the girls here -- all of them beautiful, Westernized, dressed in a manner that perhaps Mr. Thomas would term "provocatively", eh? Those misogynists all have the same vocabulary.
Muslim girls who live in the West lead two lives. Just as Amina and Sarah Said were honor students, star athletes, soccer players, tennis players, etc., so was Rifqa.
Amina and Sarah did it all.
These girls led double lives.
The murder always happens when the parent/family sees they have lost control of the child. In the case of Amina and Sarah, the girls ran away. The mother lured them back, and they were both dead less than 24 hours later. Aqsa Parvez had left the house and was staying with friends when she too was lured back, only to be murdered.
The girls live in a constant state of war, negotiating the terms of surrender. The tug, the back and forth, goes on for years. The negotiation precedes it for years. It is only when the parent loses control of the child -- either they run away, file for divorce, leave the faith, etc., act independently in some way, that they are murdered in the final act of control. They "win" and cleanse the family of the dishonor of their daughter's un-islamic behavior.
Bary is a middle-class jeweler with no documented history of
abuse and no record of radical actions or beliefs. Whatever his disagreements
with Rifqa — and what parent of a teen hasn't had his or her share? — he
obviously had invested a lot in her care and upbringing.
Most of the girls who are honor murdered in the West suffer abuse unknown to law enforcement authorities. But the friends know. Teachers know. Amina and Sarah told teachers, friends etc. So did Rifqa ....for years.
Yet last month —
long after learning she had become a Christian — he suddenly decided to kill her
over it.
He forced her to take Islamic classes. She promised she would try to "return". Rifqa said here: "A couple of weeks later,
after I told my dad that I would follow -- I wouldn’t follow Islam, but would
learn more about it. Then he put me in class after class after class after
class, thinking that, you know, that my mind was gonna be back in it, but of
course not, I’m a follower of God, Jesus, the true living Jesus! But a couple of
weeks later my mom found a Christian book and I knew right then that it was over
for me. I had to leave.
So Mr. Thomas, you lie. Her mother discovered her journal. She called the father home -- he was on a business trip which he abruptly cut short to "deal with Rifqa". Her mom packed the bags and Rifqa .........ran for her life.
I think ole' Mike ought to take the boys out for a beer (non-alcoholic, of course).Yaser Said, Chaudhry Rashid,Mohammad Parvez -- all dear men. And so was Mohammed Shafia............. lovely men all, "obviously invested a lot in the care and upbringing of their daughters".
And Rifqa had to flee for her life to the Lorenz family, whom
she first met on Facebook. By
coincidence, her flight apparently followed a confrontation with her mother over
her coming home late.
Lie.
Not content to just be rid of their apostate
daughter, the parents immediately contacted police to bring her back so Mohamed
could carry through with killing her. Mom and dad put on a good act, fooling the
investigators, who reported they were like any typical, concerned parents
worried about their daughter.
Obviously, this murder wouldn't be a
whodunit. So Bary would wind up on death row, leaving behind a wife, sons and
life he worked hard to build for his family in America.
When a moderate Muslim, Mohamed Hassan, chopped his wife's head off, he called police and said, I killed my wife. He was a pillar of the Muslim community, a television producer who started a TV network called Bridges because he "wanted to improve the image of Muslims." He ripped a sword off the wall when his wife filed for divorce, and beheaded her. And then he called the cops and said, I did it. It's what they do. Who says Bary would run away?
13 February 2009:Muzzammil “Mo” HASSAN,
the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, a Buffalo, NY based
Islamic television Network he helped pioneer in 2004 amid hopes that it would
help portray Muslims in a more positive light, reportedly admitted to police
that he beheaded his wife at the television station yesterday afternoon. The
victim was identified as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37, who just last
month, filed for and received an order of protection against her husband.
According to police, HASSAN walked into the Orchard Park police station
shortly after 6:00 om.
Frankly, I think the Bary bags were packed to flee the country, with the killing of Rifqa taking place shortly before or after their speedy departure.
Nobody would
possibly believe such a scenario if not for the fact Bary is a
Muslim.
Exactly. Because Christian and Jews do not kill apostates. Muslims do.
The anti-Muslim groups that have embraced Rifqa say his faith
requires that he kill her, as if he has no say in the matter. As proof, they
point to a passage in the Quran mandating death to Muslims who reject Islam.
They back this up citing "honor killings" in Muslim countries.
Rifqa's
father is not judged as an individual. He is judged by the actions of others and
quotes in a religious text.
There is no individualism in Islam. There is only the Koran, the immutable word of allah. No one can reform it or reinterpret it. To do so is be a "hypocrite", punishable by ... death. Secular Muslims do not subscribe to this, but devout Muslims do, and clearly Mohamed's Bary's mosque, The Noor Islamic Center, was fundamentalist and extreme.
I could go through the Old Testament and
cherry-pick any number of quotes demanding death for nonbelievers, nonvirgin
brides and blasphemers. No Christian I know endorses that, yet it seems every
Muslim abides by the darker writings in the faith.
What difference does that make. The Christian and Jews are not killing their daughters and wives to restore their honor. Muslims are. Christians and Jews have not conducted close to 14,000 (it changes daily) Islamic attacks since 911 in the name of their g-d. These facts are .....irrefutable.
Imagine if Rifqa fled
a Christian family and wound up in the home of an anti-Christian imam in
Florida. And like Blake Lorenz, he delayed notifying authorities about her
arrival. She would be on the next flight back to Ohio.
Fortunately, we
have a rule of law to protect individuals from the political passions and
religious doctrine of others. It is what separates us from Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The man just made the case for Rifqa. This is lefopathic mental illness.
The
rule of law blocked Gov. Jeb Bush from
imposing his personal beliefs in the Terri Schiavo case.
The rule of law
sent Elián González back to his father. And ultimately, the rule of law
will send Rifqa back to Ohio.
Yesterday I called Amy Edwards at The Orlando Sentinel to understand why she would shill for Muslim fundamentalists. She is not alone, just more pathetic than most of the shills.
Has anyone else noticed that the only narrative being propagated by the media on the slow motion honor killing case are thelies and deceptionof
Rifqa Bary's devout Muslim family and their lawyers? The only
opportunity Americans had to hear Rifqa Bary's story was on a youtube
video I pulled off a raw news feed.
Amy Edwards, the latest subjugated sycophant at the now notorious Orlando Sentinel, "broke"" this Christian smear. Did she fact check? Did she vet it?
The poor excuse for a reporter, Amy Edwards, (whom I called but had not returned my call) "breaks" the story with
this:
Did the Orlando pastors who sheltered an Ohio teen convert who feared her Muslim family help the girl run away to Florida?
A Department of Children and Families document just obtained by the Orlando Sentinel indicates there's a possibility.
A hand-written note on a caregiver home study conducted on Blake and
Beverly Lorenz, pastors of Global Revolution Church, said an initial
DCF study was approved "prior to being informed that the pastor's
family was involved with possibly helping the child run away from Ohio."
Did Edwards read the copy of Petition for Dependency by Rifqa’s Lawyer, with detailed facts of the case? Of course not. The story says that the missing persons report was filed on the
29th. Another report says that they waited 10 days. This report says they filed on the 19th. So I ask Ms. industrious Edwards: what is she looking at? The
DCF report has been cited inaccurately, from my
understanding.
John Stemburger also states that the DCF received reports of Rifqa's abuse on 8/5 and 8/7. Earth to Amy.
The media has terrorized Rifqa, the empathetic Pastor and
his lovely wife. They are victims of this Kafkaesque trial. Nowhere is the violent
ideology behind these heinous murders spoken of -- Christianity is the
villain. The Pastor is fair game, any lie, any "cultish" innuendo alluding to nothing makes headlines. Not a word about Islamic misogyny and subjugation.
Just for knowing, this is not about the Pastor, it's about Rifqa.
The reporter, Amy Edwards, from the Orlando Sentinel
finally returned my call after I posted that my calls were not being returned (someone at the Sentinel is reading Atlas). Mind you, she returned my call after she posted an ad looking for Islamic apologists to shill for (see below).
I
asked her why the Sentinel was only printing the fallacious narrative
of the devout, abusive parents. Why were they acting as a printing
press for the parents' press releases without vetting the lies?
I
asked where was the investigative journalism? Why hadn't she
interviewed Rifqa's friends? Where was the investigation into the Noor
Mosque and the danger it posed to Rifqa's life? Why no background on
the victims of honor killings in the US and Canada?
Edwards could not answer me. She said she got Rifqa's story from Rifqa's parents. Huh?
Edwards said that they tried to speak to the Pastor but he was out of
the country. So I asked why run a story based on the "possible" involvement of the Pastor in Rifqa's escape from terror? She said it was
in a DCF document. I said, So what? Why that? It doesn't advance the story (and it's wrong). Why pick up that
singular fact of all the overwhelming evidence that what Rifqa is saying is
true? What has that got to do with Rifqa? This is about Rifqa. Reporters
like Edwards will have a hand in this girl's fate. How flippant, cavalier, evil she
is with human life. Edwards and those like her have a responsibility to report what actually happened. Is that asking too much?
Edwards defended her paper's position. I said it was not at all balanced. She thought that it was and recommended I "write a letter to the editor". I recommended that she do some investigation and not be the mouthpiece for a devout and violent ideology.
Wait, it gets better. Urban Infidel got this after I called out Edwards:
[Emphasis mine. Did Edwards think that the parents would say, yes we
fully intend to kill her, thankyouverymuch. And who does Edwards think
will contact her. Shills, that's who.]
6. MEDIA/TODAY: Media
Attention of Muslim/Christian Convert Teen Runaway -- Orlando Sentinel (FL)
I have been covering the story about Fathima Rifqa Bary, an Ohio teen who
ran away to Florida because she feared her Muslim family would hurt or kill her
because she converted to Christianity. Since the news broke, her story has
attracted national media attention.People have taken to the extremes on both
sides -- ranging from those who think Bary will be a victim of honor killings,
and those who think the Orlando pastors who have sheltered her are crazy. I'm
trying to find someone who could say why this case has drawn the attention it
has -- and would it outside of religion. Contact: Amy Edwards,
aledwards@orlandosentinel.com
How funny is this? G-d forbid this reporter get off her ass and actually do her job. Pick up a phone. Talk to Rifqa's friends. Like I said, pathetic.
Please call Governor Crist (Florida) and beg him to keep the case and call or fax Governor Strickland of Ohio and implore him NOT TO ASK FOR THE CASE. Contact info here.
*****THE ORLANDO SENTINEL CALLS INTO ATLAS -SCROLL****
On June 4th, President Barack Hussein Obama made a speech to the Muslim world in Cairo. In it he said:
Freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s
religion. ...That is why the U.S.
government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to
wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.
Why doesn't Barack go to the same extraordinary lengths to protect women and girls WHO DON'T WANT TO WEAR THE HIJAB?
Has anyone else noticed that the only narrative being propagated by the media on the slow motion honor killing case are thelies and deceptionof Rifqa Bary's devout Muslim family and their lawyers? The only opportunity Americans had to hear Rifqa Bary's story was on a youtube video I pulled off a raw news feed.
The insipid shills sell this girl down the river. Who are they working for?
One after another, lined up like good little dhimmi slaves. Once again the media makes evil good, and good evil. Three hours ago, Amy Edwards, the latest subjugated sycophant at the now notorious Orlando Sentinel, "breaks" this lie:
The pathetic reporter Amy Edwards (whom I called but has not returned my call) "breaks" the story with this: {UPDATE: Edwards called this morning, scroll for my conversation]:
Did the Orlando pastors who sheltered an Ohio teen convert who feared her Muslim family help the girl run away to Florida?
A Department of Children and Families document just obtained by the Orlando Sentinel indicates there's a possibility.
A hand-written note on a caregiver home study conducted on Blake and
Beverly Lorenz, pastors of Global Revolution Church, said an initial
DCF study was approved "prior to being informed that the pastor's
family was involved with possibly helping the child run away from Ohio."
This is the tactic, BTW, to smear the good pastor. Rifqa hitchhiked to the bus depot, trying to get as far away from her terror as possible, and the good folks who provided her refuge are the guilty party? Did this tool Amy Edwards attempt to contact Rifqa's friends in Ohio?
Did this shill Amy Edwards attempt to confirm Rifqa's easily
confirmable story?
The story is not the pastor, Amy. The story is the terror of Rifqa and how we, as good decent human beings, can help save her from a tragic fate. Shame on you. Why doesn't the media do an investigative piece on the Bary family mosque, Noor Islamic Center, hot bed of extremist activity? Patrick Poole on the extremist ties to the mosque:
We need Ohio to stay out of Rifqa's case.Ohio is biased, Florida is neutral. Look at the remarks law enforcement has already made, before they conducted any investigation.
Columbus police also question
the girl's claim of being in danger.
Mohamed Bary "comes across to
me as a loving, caring, worried father about the whereabouts and the health of
his daughter," said Sgt. Jerry Cupp, chief of the Columbus police missing
persons bureau.
The police and child services in Ohio have spoken to Rifqa's friends. Law enforcement knows about the abuse.
Back in July, the news reports mentioned her recent
trips to churches in her community; some of her friends were worried
that her going missing had something to do with her recent conversion.
The authorities also know that the night before Rifqa left the house - she left a note for her parents. Rifqa said here:
I
wrote my parents a note, I said, I refuse to deny Jesus and He’s my Lord and
Savior and I pray you find His forgiveness and mercy and I love them both
dearly. I wrote that, but they never showed it to the police officers. They want
me back home, I can’t go back to Ohio, you guys don’t understand. That
community, they’re like – I will die within a week. My life is at stake. My dad
threatened me
They also know she wrote notes to her friends and posted it on facebook, "please pray for me, My mom discovered my journal. She said just wait until your dad gets home". Rifqa asked for their prayers. So the police were well aware of this intolerance of religious views.
It
was the father who deleted her facebook page. It was her father who
disconnected her cell phone. He had plans for that girl. He had plans.
So they are corrupt. And biased. That is why you must call Governor
Strickland TODAY and tell him NOT TO ASK FOR THE CASE ON FRIDAY.
FRIDAY 3:15 pm IS WHEN JURISDICTION IS DECIDED! GET ON THE HORN.

UPDATE: Giant props to the International Christian Concern and Act for America for getting behind Rifqa and urging members to save her life.
Rifqa Bary said she ran to Orlando to save her life, but her
father and the Islamic Society of Central Florida say she's being
"brainwashed by a cult", "kidnapped by a cult", that she's a "rebel", a "troubled teen". Well, which is it?
Brainwashed by a cult? Which is the cult? One that calls for the murder
of a daughter who shames the family by not wearing the proper head dress, or wanting to live a free life, or
dating the wrong Muslim boy, or choosing another religion? Or is it the religion
that offers sanctuary?
Rifqa Bary's father is alleging that she was "brainwashed by the Pastor" of a church. Pastor Lorenz refutes that and says that Rifqa had been a Christian for four years, "long before he met her".
Let's look at the facts.
Below is Rifqa's myspace page - last log in
2007. She had already converted by then. Rifqa told Pastor Lorenz she converted four years ago - the myspace page is evidence of at least two years.
There's more evidence on that same myspace page. Check out the choice of "Christian layout" and her favorite movie "A Walk to Remember"
(a good Christian flick that I love watching with my kinderlach). The
movie is about a Pastor's daughter, a good Christian girl who changes
the life of a popular but rebellious teenage boy through her indomitable spirit,
purity and goodness.
A Walk to Remember found a warm reception in the Christian
community due to the film's pandering; as one reviewer approvingly
noted, "The main character is portrayed as a Christian without being
psychopathic or holier-than-thou" (Wikipedia here)
Further, under Rifqa's favorite book, there is a small icon of a page from the bible. The passage highlighted? Love is patient.Notice
how it's all done cryptically, as if she is hiding. JC is Jesus Christ.
The movie is a Christian movie. The book is the bible. And this is 2007.
The family that is accusing her of lying and saying "she is free to practice her Christianity" is a devout Muslim family. It was the members of the family's mosque that alerted Rifqa's father of her conversion to Christianity. The devout family's mosqueratted Rifqa out. How can this girl be safe?
The Islamic Society of Central Florida President Imam Muhammad Musri wonders if Rifqa is "nothing more than a troubled teen" and a "rebel teenager running away from home".
Let's look at the hard facts.
When I first ran the story of a missing teen in Ohio here on August 3rd, she was feared dead - my headline was,"Fathima Rifqa Bary: I hope she got away". The report said,"according to police, the girl's friends told detectives that it was possible she
ran away because of conflicting religious beliefs in her home".
Counter Jihad blog has this update from Rifqa's friend:
I know that her dad
is a threat to her, because I am friends with her and have heard her talk about
it. In addition, when she took off and ran, I was one of the last people to talk
to her via cell phone and as a result her dad started obsessively calling me and
being very harsh and threatening towards me, while demanding that i tell him
where she went to.
So
all of this "troubled teen" propaganda is a yarn spun (taqiya) to con the
authorities into sending this girl back to a dangerous and deadly
situation. She is not only in jeopardy from her father and other family
members but from all devout Muslims. She committed the worst of all sins, apostasy. And she broke the code of silence.
Fathima Bary converted to
Christianity and said her Muslim father threatened to kill her for
dishonoring the family. Her father is on the defense, while the Islamic
Society of Central Florida said its faith doesn't condone murder and
wonders if the religious runaway is nothing more than a troubled teen.
"It's completely false," said father Mohamed Bary. "Honestly, it's not my daughter who is speaking."
Mohamed Bary said he denies he ever threatened to kill his 17-year-old
daughter for turning her back on the family's Muslim faith by becoming
a Christian. He said he believes the Ohio girl fled to Florida last
month after being brainwashed by the pastor of Global Revolution Church
of Orlando, who she met on Facebook.
So I knew that I had to get away."
"This is a cult group who kidnapped my daughter and took her away," Mohamed Bary said.
She hitchhiked to the bus and took a Greyhound from Ohio to Florida. How is that a kidnapping?
The Rev. Blake Lorenz spoke with WESH 2 News earlier this week.
"She's just afraid for life," he said.
"She has been a Christian for four years, long before we ever met her," he said.
Fathima Bary is in protective custody in Central Florida, but Lorenz
said he believes she won't be safe if the court returns the religious
runaway to her family. He said former Muslim followers call it an
"honor killing."
"There's no such thing as honor killing in the Koran," said Islamic Society of Central Florida President Imam Muhammad Musri.
Murder is unjust killing. To say that their faith doesn't condone murder doesn't
address the real question: does their faith consider the killing of an apostate
to be a just action? If so, then to kill Rifqa wouldn't be murder at all, but an
act of justice. Yet again we see a Muslim group using weasel words instead of
condemning genuine injustice. This statement still leaves Rifqa's life at risk. (thanks to Robert Spencer)
Musri
said, like Christians, Muslims believe killing someone is murder. He
said, while there are extremists in every religion, he hopes Fathima
Bary isn't hiding behind faith to find freedom.
Show
me one Jew or one Christian who has been murdered by their family for
such an act. I can find you thousands upon thousands of Muslims.
Musri added "hiding behind faith to find freedom" - a very telling quote , is it not?
"Is she a rebel teenager running away from home, or is she really in danger?" Musri said.
That's the question that the Department of Children and Families is
asking. There's another custody hearing for Fathima Bary next Friday.
Further,
let's look at how the newspaper Pakistan Daily describes Rifqa
Bary. Notice the headline says pregnant, but nowhere in the article do
they write about it. It's just an Islamic smear campaign against a brave young girl fighting for her life, and it's vile.
A very disconcerting video is being shown by the Christan church. A minor Sri
Lankan girl belonging to well to do parents has been kidnapped by a church in
Ohio and being kept away from the legal guardians and parents of the girl. The
family maintains that the girls was into drugs, promiscuous behaviour and
raunchy messages on facebook. She was discussing sex with multiple older married
men. When the parents tried to control her behaviour she refused to do so. On
her return to the home she conjured up a story of conversion to Christianity.
There are serious accusations against the church on holding a minor girl in
custody against the will of her guardians and parents.
How many more girls will
the church kidnap?
Media reports indicate that the
Muslim father denies his daughter’s charge that he plans to take her life in an
“honor killing” because of her conversion to Christianity.
This is what they do all the time.Destroy the truth tellers.
I will be on the Young Gun Conservative Radio show Monday night at 7pm. They will be interviewing Rifka Bary's parents' lawyer. I will provide the counterpoint. Listen live at 7pm (click on YGC Radio at the top of the page on the right).
Remember, Islam is the only religion with a propaganda wing, and it works 24/7/365. The taqiyya (lies to advance Islam) is full on, and Rifqa's life hangs in the balance.
The fact is that this teenage girl converted to Christianity more than four years ago. Get it? This is not some ruse. The family's performance in the video is a ruse. Here is the screen shot of her myspace page from 2007(last log on 2007)
Her savior was JC back in 2007. So Rifqa has been hiding this from her father and brother, her family since 2007.
The Christian teen also said her father had threatened to kill her after he
heard that she had been baptized. (here)
And Rifqa ran for her life. She hitched to the bus and went to the only port in a storm. The Pastor Blake Lorenz. I do not think the good pastor has a clue as to what he is dealing with. Nor does law enforcement, which believes that the father is "sincere". And I am not entirely sure her lawyer is up to speed on Islam.
There are those who think she is "too emotional" in the video. I would like to see how you would react if your life was in danger and death around the corner.
If they return her to the father, it will set a standard like the Dred Scott decision did back in the day. Rifqa refers to Amina and Sarah Said. She knows. And Rifqa's crime is worse than that of the Said girls: Rifqa is an apostate.
Rifqa Bary is a target for all Islamists now. In the interest of the safety of the child, experts on Islam should be consulted, as Islam is little understood. Apologists come out of the woodwork almost immediately and obfuscate the truth.
Contrary to claims made in court, Islam DOES prescribe the death penalty for apostasy. Look at the family. Look at how the mother is dressed. Rifqa said on her video, her family is devout -- so is al qaeda.
This would be not only an honor killing, but the killing of an apostate, which
adds an additional dimension.
Islam’s death penalty for apostates is only a dead letter if no one
cares or is able to enforce it in a particular case, but it is deeply
rooted within Islam. Some argue that it derives from Qur’an 4:89, which
speaks of those who have embraced the Islamic faith and then turned
“renegade,” directing Muslims to “seize them and slay them wherever ye
find them.” Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, said, “Whoever changed his
Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari, vol. 9, bk. 84, no. 57).
This is a universal principle in Islamic law. The Islamic scholar and
ex-Muslim Ibn Warraq explains that all the schools of Islamic
jurisprudence teach this: “Under Muslim law, the male apostate must be
put to death, as long as he is an adult, and in full possession of his
faculties….According to Hanafis and Shia, a woman is imprisoned until
she repents and adopts Islam once more, but according to the
influential Ibn Hanbal, and the Malikis and Shafiites, she is also put
to death.”
And here:
Here is a cluebat for those who might be tempted to believe the
soothing lies that are coming from Islamic apologists in connection
with the Rifqa Bary story:
"Why should a person who disbelieves after becoming Muslim be executed?
The punishment for the apostate is execution. Why such harshness?,"
from Islam Question and Answer, Fatwa No. 12406 :
The punishment for the apostate is execution. Why such harshness?.
Praise be to Allaah.
The punishment for apostasy from the religion of Islam is execution. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a
disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the
Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide
therein forever”
[al-Baqarah 2:217]
And it was proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: “Whoever changes his religion, execute him.” Narrated
by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh. What this hadeeth means is that whoever
leaves Islam and changes to another religion and persists in that and
does not repent, is to be executed. It was also proven that the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is not
permissible to shed the blood of a person who bears witness that there
is no god but Allaah and that I am the Messenger of Allaah except in
three cases: a life for a life, a previously-married person who commits
adultery, and one who leaves Islam and forsakes the jamaa’ah.” Narrated
by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.
This harsh punishment is for a number of reasons:
1 – This punishment is a deterrent to anyone who wants to enter
Islam just to follow the crowd or for hypocritical purposes. This will
motivate him to examine the matter thoroughly and not to proceed unless
he understands the consequences of that in this world and in the
Hereafter. The one who announces his Islam has agreed to adhere to all
the rulings of Islam of his own free will and consent, one of which
rulings is that he is to be executed if he apostatizes from the faith.
2 – The one who announces his Islam has joined the jamaa’ah (main
body) of the Muslims, and whoever joins the main body of the Muslims is
required to be completely loyal and to support it and protect it
against anything that may lead to fitnah or destroy it or cause
division. Apostasy from Islam means forsaking the jamaa’ah and its
divine order, and has a harmful effect on it. Execution is the greatest
deterrent that will prevent people from committing such a crime.
3 – Those Muslims who are weak in faith and others who are against
Islam may think that the apostate has only left Islam because of what
he has found out about its real nature, because if it were the truth
then he would never have turned away from it. So they learn from him
all the doubts, lies and fabrications which are aimed at extinguishing
the light of Islam and putting people off from it. In this case
executing the apostate is obligatory, in order to protect the true
religion from the defamation of the liars and to protect the faith of
its adherents and remove obstacles from the path of those who are
entering the faith.
4 – We also say that the death penalty exists in the modern laws of
man to protect the system from disorder in some situation and to
protect society against certain crimes which may cause its
disintegration, such as drugs etc. If execution can serve as a
deterrent to protect man-made systems, then it is more appropriate that
the true religion of Allaah, which Falsehood cannot come to it from
before it or behind it [cf. Fussilat 41:42], and which is all goodness,
happiness and tranquility in this world and in the Hereafter should
punish those who commit acts of aggression against it and seek to
extinguish its light and defame its image, and who fabricate lies
against it to justify their apostasy and deviation.
Crown prosecutors are seeking to send the head of Ottawa’s taxi union to jail for up to two years, alleging that a campaign of threatening and intimidating behaviour directed toward his daughter after she turned her back on the family’s Muslim beliefs was an honour crime.
I said the J in J Street, the fake Jewish lobbying group, stood for jihad, not Jewish. I was, of course, right. It's no wonder this group of wannabe Jew killers were welcome at the White House:
The J Street political action committee has received tens of thousands of dollars in donations from dozens of Arab and Muslim Americans, as well as from several individuals connected to organizations doing Palestinian and Iranian issues advocacy, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
Additionally, at least two State Department officials
connected to Middle East issues have donated to the PAC, which gives money to
candidates for US Congress supported by J Street. The organization describes
itself as a "pro-Israel, pro-peace" lobby pushing for more American involvement
and diplomacy in resolving the Middle East conflict.
Arab and Muslim donors are extremely rare for other
organizations that describe themselves as supporters of Israel as J Street does,
Jewish leaders at organizations across the political spectrum told The Jerusalem Post. Because most of these other
organizations are not PACs, however, US law does not require them to release
their donor lists. J Street's non-PAC arm also does not release a complete list
of contributors
There's more. Want to fight back against this century's nazis?
Z Street and the Z for zoooooom, baby. There is a wonderful new organization, Z Street,
that was created to counter the growing Jewicidal influence the left
wing anti-Jew Jews have in the anti-Israel Obama administration. I
wrote about it here.
J Street, the marginal, fringe, alleged Soros group, given such
credence by the White House, should be put on notice. The Jewish people
have a real voice that speaks to the existential needs of the Jewish
community (the J in J Street stands for jihad, don't let them fool you).
"We need to show everyone that it isn't only those on the left who know
how to organize," said Lori Lowenthal Marcus, a long-time Zionist
activist and, with Allyson Rowen Taylor, a Z Street founder. Her point
of reference, and the inspiration for the name Z Street, was the
well-known Jewish-American far-left advocacy group J Street and its
associated Capitol Hill political action committee.
They are having a huge rally in DC, where I, among others,
will be speaking. If you can get down to DC in support of Israel at the
end of October, please join us. This group speaks for those who love
and support the state of Israel.
Lori Lowenthal Marcus penned this piece for the American Thinker:
There is a chilling scene
in the 2002 movie "The Pianist." In it the train was already chugging
along on the path to insanity and destruction, but before all was
destroyed. The family of the protagonist has been moved into the
Warsaw Ghetto and the head of the family is sitting at a table, reading
a newspaper. He looks up and says, "I blame the American Jews."
He was talking to me.
At
least, that's how I heard it. I resolved then not to be our time's
analog of a World War II American Jew -- you know, the ones who read
the newspapers, see what is happening to Israel, mutter "tsk, tsk" and
turn the page.
Others
have had similar epiphanies, but the light from our bulbs going off is
obscured by the clouds of appeasement and apologies, dressed up as
tolerance and even-handedness.
For
several years we have agonized over the gathering storm of hostility
towards Israel, and the organizational human shields which eagerly
validate those positions. Finally we decided that action - an
immediate, decisive, in-your-face facts war, was imperative. Allyson
Rowen Taylor and I spent a few hours on the phone and created Z
(Zionist) Street.
Z STREET is based on these ironclad positions:
The
right of the Jewish people to a state, and the right of Jews to live
freely anywhere, including inhaling oxygen in areas the world insists
are reserved for Arab Palestinians;
Relishing the terms "Jewish State" and "Zionism" - ones currently derided as shameful instead of sources of pride;
Circulation of facts -- not deceptive "Palestinian" narratives -- about the Middle East, Israel and terrorism;
Condemnation
of those who revile Israel for actions they ignore when taken by
Israel's enemies and virtually all states throughout history;
Categorical
rejection of agreements with, or concessions to, terrorists (or
their supporters) who are dedicated to Israel's destruction.
Unlike
other organizations that claim to be pro-Israel, Z STREET will not
pander to politicians who invite us to their offices and pay attention
to our pocketbooks but ignore our positions. For those who do not
embrace our principles, there are plenty of other organizations to
join. This catalyzing organization seeks to change the way discussions
about Israel are crafted and viewed.
A
fuel source previously untapped has been released: within days of the
launch thousands clamored to our site, asking how to join and how they
can help. Z STREET already includes members from five continents and
more than twenty states. News articles are being written about Z
STREET from the far right and the center, and we have been viciously
denigrated and cartooned from the far left - all of which is gratifying.
The
rising groundswell is in part a response to organizations whispering
into the ear of this US administration that pervert the meaning of
"pro-Israel." Their ultimate loyalty is to left-wing principles
including a secular Israel and tolerance of terrorism only when
directed at Jews. They are ashamed of an avowedly Jewish State, yet
completely comfortable with 22 Muslim ones, and are actively seeking
the creation of a 23rd, based in Jerusalem, whose governing documents
call for the destruction of Israel.
Here we go again. The NY Times whores itself for da jihad. This is so intellectually dishonest. This generation grew up on Hamas TV, suckling at the breast of the worst Jewish blood libels.
But the Times can't bother itself with reality. Instead they put lipstick on a pig and euphemistically call them "new leaders [who] are considered more pragmatic than their predecessors".
BETHLEHEM, West Bank — Fatah,
the mainstream Palestinian
nationalist party, elected a mostly new leadership committee, ushering in a
younger generation and ousting some prominent veterans, according to preliminary
results released here on Tuesday.
The new leaders are considered more pragmatic than their predecessors and
grew up locally, in contrast to the exile-dominated leadership they are
replacing. But many are familiar names who have already played active roles in
Palestinian society and the peace process, and their election to the committee
is not expected to bring about significant changes in Fatah policies.
[...]
Mr. Rajoub said there had been a “coup” in the party hierarchy as a result of
an “honest competition.”
Marwan
Barghouti, a
popular leader of Fatah’s younger guard, also won a seat, but the post is
likely to be largely symbolic for now, because he is currently serving five life
terms in an Israeli prison. Mr. Barghouti, 50, was convicted
in the deaths of five people during the second intifada, the violent Palestinian
uprising that started in 2000
Dan Riehl exposed Jesse Griffin, the slimy operative who was the "anonymous" blogger behind the Palin divorce smear. Griffin's day job was as an assistant kindergarten teacher -- who penned sick invective against Palin and her children like, "Trip [sic] Palin Will Get His Ass Beat"
Yesterday the low life "resigned" from his kindergarten post. Would you want that teaching your 5 year old?
Dan Riehl was on the Eddie Burke show in Alaska. The video
below edits out all commercials and advances through the four episodes. (hat tip Kasper)
GOOD!
Dan followed this story assiduously.
When he called me and told me what he was working on, I fell off the
chair. This is story is outrageous, but typical of the left.
I am sure Alaskans would be thrilled about the standards
their schools use in employing kindergartner assistants. But I do not
believe Griffin's statement to be accurate, or even true. We shall see.
Most likely, it is but one more lie upon the many he seems
to have used in his vicious, uncalled for attacks on Sarah Palin and
her family, as well.
Should we really be surprised? Most disgusting is
the on going fawning his commenters display while knowing his vulgar
sexually explicit postings and claiming to instruct kindergarten-aged children
in a public school a the same time. It makes one wonder if they have
any morals at all. It seems that as long you appear to be benefiting
their political cause, you can engage in any kind of behavior you like
without being judged.
This is astounding. Where Bush failed, Obama rules. Bush refused to address his detractors and the mass media smear campaign. That was Bush's fatal flaw. In direct contrast, Obama's agenda of complete control is his fatal flaw; in a word, it's fascism.
The desired effect of such a proclamation? A chilling assault on free speech.
If you see anybody publicly opposing President Obama’s plan to implement a
government-centric overhaul of the health care system, the White House wants you
to report that person (or persons) ASAP.
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there,
spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These
rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through
casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here
at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or
see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it
to flag@whitehouse.gov.
Emphasis added. Of course, as we’ve seen in the health care debate to date,
the term “disinformation” is used by the Obama White House as a catchall to
describe any opposition to the President’s push for single-payer, government-run
health care — meaning the White House wants to be informed of any forwarded
emails or blog posts or any “casual conversations” that could be taken
as opposition to their health care overhaul plan.
The White House has, as yet, offered no explanation of what it is they plan
to do with the tips on policy opposition they hope to receive from citizen
informers.
This weekend I railed in an oped against left wing operatives and their evil campaign to destroy the good, Palin (read it here). Obama's operatives don't debate her positions; they spread libels. They ridicule. This is Alinsky warfare. Considering how filthy Obama's background is, the media's refusal to investigate the myriad claims against Obama amounts to criminal activity. The American people were sold a bill of goods. And if that weren't enough, the syndicate is looking to eviscerate the antidote, our shot at a future as a free state.
CNN ran the divorce libel on the mere word of two rancid Alaska bloggers. Investigate Obama's ties to Khalid Al-Mansour? Never. Auchi? Never. Farrakhan? Never. Soros? Never. Rezko? Never. Walid? Never. Ayers, Dorne, Raila Odinga ............... the list is too long (not to mention the dirty, salacious stuff).
Dan is one of the best
document-research guys in the conservative blogosphere, and his standards of
verification make Dennis Zaki look like a
clown in floppy shoes. (Of course, Zaki doesn't need much help in that
regard.) I've been a reporter for more than 20 years, the past 12 years in D.C.
Dan is "just some blog dude" who only moved to the D.C. area two years ago, and
in some respects, he's got better sources than I do.
ORIGINAL (6:39 p.m.
ET): An anonymous e-mailer forwards to me this communication, which I
post without editing, except for formatting purposes:
I would like you to know that Gryphen of Immoral Minority (Palin divorce
smear) is actually one Jesse Griffin. He must value his identity because he had
his fellow Palin Hater, Dennis Zaki, black out his name in this document:
Zaki
reveals that Gryphen is a kindergarten teacher of some kind: Thomas Van
Flein, Sarah Palin's lawyer, threatened Saturday to serve libel papers at a
kindergarten to the owner of the highly trafficked "ImmoralMinority" blog for a divorce story on the Palins. The blog was given
until 3pm Saturday to remove the story and post a retraction. The blogger stands
by the story. He also admitted in his most recent post that he is a teacher, but
note that he won't post his name
Here is the evidence that he is one Jesse Griffin:
How this person can be allowed children is beyond me. He has written
absolutely sick things about the Palins. He once posted a cartoon of Governor
Palin holding a gun to her head. He once stated that he hoped that the "bitch
would snap her ankle" walking off of a curb. This person is absolutely
disgusting and should not be around children. At the most, his identity should
be exposed in order for Alaskan parents to see who their children are around
during the school day. If you look back through his website you will notice a
disturbing obsession with the Palin family. He is also a Trig Truther person who
thinks Palin's son Trig is not really hers.
These Palin Haters are liars who
are trying to destroy a good conservative. I'm sick of this
crap.
As many of you are already aware I DID receive a notification
from Palin attorney Thomas Van Flein yesterday. It arrived in my e-mail
in PDF form and you can read it over at the Alaska Report.
Now Van Flein is forcing me to make an admission that I have resisted addressing for the four plus years I have had this blog.
Yes I DO work in a Kindergarten class during the school year. My main job affords me some time during the day and I have chosen to use it
teaching children to read
, and helping them to become more independent. I do it because it brings me joy to work with these children and I believe, and have been told, that I am very good at it.
Maybe he can bring that up while the kids in his elementary school are beating his ass because he has a stupid name.
More to come. Stay tuned.

On Wednesday I reported that war had broken out in Nigeria. Government soldiers fought back when militant Muslims who want to impose Taliban-style rule across the multi-religious country of 140 million attacked a police station.
Reporters on the ground say the trouble started with militants attacking a police station in Bauchi state Sunday. Then they attacked police in Kano, Yobe and Borno, of which Maiduguri is the capital.
The video above is the Al Jazeera report. The angle? The story is not jihad and its incalculable cost to society, or the heinous war crimes against
humanity and civilization, oppression and subjugation of women and children, gender apartheid, persecution of non-believers ... no, it's about life when you're a "young
widow with children" in sub-Saharan shariah Africa. Media jackals, morally bankrupt, the lot of 'em.
Let's understand this. CNN won't touch the birth certificate issue, the Rezko/Auchi corruption, Obama's anti-semitism, his ACORN/SEIU ties and corruption and other legitimate stories that need investigation. But they write fiction about Palin. Daily. So why not tell the truth about Obama and his reported strange sexual predilections? My question is, it is well known that Obama allegedly was involved with a crack whore in his youth. Very seedy stuff. Why aren't they pursuing that story? Find the ho, give her a show! Obama trafficked in some very deviant practices. Where's the investigation?
Back in the early 80's, there were only two reasons to travel to Pakistan. Jihad or drugs. I think he went for the drugs and came back with jihad. (He did, after all, change his name to Barack Hussein Obama from Barry Soetoro, upon his return from that trip).
Why isn't CNN pursuing the nude pornographic photos of Obama's mom, Stanley (unretouched pictures here and here) allegedly taken by Frank Marshall Davis in his apartment. Obama's spiritual father, Davis was a child rapist and famous communist. I never ran the pics, as it was unseemly and wasn't relevant. But this assault on Palin is too disgusting. It's time to tell the ugly truth about the enemy in the White House and his whores in the media. It is Obama operatives who are spreading the Palin lies. I strongly recommend that conservatives start sending emailing these
family pictures. They know we won't play dirty, so it's time to play dirty.
I say when they ratchet up the lies, then we ratchet up the truth.
UPDATE: The hyenas had it take down again (this is the fifth time), but thanks to the thousands of you great Americans that have downloaded it -- it's back up again. Rip it baby. Vidgrab it :)
The Boston Globe ran a column on Shepard Smith here: It's Shepard Smith Time! "With his ratings soaring, the Fox News anchor enjoys his moment - and becomes a
lightning rod".
The Boston Globe is whitewashing his right wing bashing ....d'oh. Anyone perceived to be on the right who goes off the reservation will get a full puff piece in the left's propaganda papers.
The subject of the day’s news is post-election unrest in Iran, and some
viewers want to know where Smith stands. “Just like Barack, you are a spineless
[expletive], just waiting to see how things play out in Iran before you see what
side you’re on,’’ Smith intones in a faux-deep voice. “Pick a lane, man, and
grow a backbone!’’
Smith does spout strong opinions throughout the day, but they tend to be
directed at LSU - the rival of his alma mater, Ole Miss - or at the Red Sox,
eternal foes of his beloved New York Yankees. Trash talk comes with the
territory; in the main newsroom at Fox News’s Sixth Avenue headquarters, a fan
on his desk bears the brand name “Boston,’’ and underneath it, Smith has
scrawled the word “Sucks.’’
But Smith’s on-air role is more complex, and the e-mail speaks to its
delicate nature. This is a moment of unmatched prominence for the 45-year-old,
who is on track to have his best year ever in the ratings. His two hours of live
TV every day - “Studio B’’ and the 7 p.m. “Fox Report’’ - both draw more viewers
than their CNN and MSNBC competition combined. (“Fox Report,’’ the network’s
flagship newscast, was up 39 percent in June from a year ago, with 1.8 million
viewers.) Smith is the most prominent anchor on a network that is poised to see
its best ratings year ever, with a 50 percent increase in viewers this past
quarter for its primetime lineup of conservative hosts. The Obama
administration, it seems, is a very good thing for Fox.
But if his network is the voice of opposition, then Smith is the noted
exception, a newsman who sometimes draws serious ire from the Fox News
conservative base. Earlier this summer, Smith - already known for challenging
right-wing talking points from time to time - referred to a controversial report
about right-wing extremist groups and complained about some “frightening’’
anti-Obama e-mails sent to the network. Rush Limbaugh responded by mocking Smith
on the radio, and some prominent right-wing bloggers said he should be fired.
(Smith seems safe, having signed a contract in 2007 for a reported $7 million
per year for just over three years.)
That doesn’t stop the critics from complaining, or challenging Smith’s on-air
persona. “What is he? Is he a pundit or is he a newscaster?’’ says Pamela
Gellar [sic], the editor of the New York-based conservative website Atlas Shrugged,
who pronounces Smith “not my cuppa." Continued
[...]
Hannity and Beck had mocked that same report on air, saying it was a bald
attack on conservatives. So critics from both political sides speculated that
Smith was calling out his colleagues. Eric Boehlert, from the left-wing website
Media Matters, said Smith’s comments “only led in one direction, and that was
Fox News.’’ Gellar, of Atlas Shrugged, said Smith was “scolding us.’’
Asked about the controversy, Smith got agitated the way he sometimes does
on-air, his baseline persona - Southern, good-humored, gentlemanly - morphing
into righteous indignation. He denied, vehemently, that he had been referring to
his colleagues.
“People want to turn us against ourselves,’’ he said, his volume rising. “But
that’s not how it is. That’s certainly not what I was talking about. . . . To
equate anyone in our network with that sort of thing is not even worthy of
comment. That’s stupid.’’
It was a fast flash of energy, the type that can make Smith electrifying
onscreen. Like the fictional Howard Beale, the mad-as-hell anchor in the 1976
film “Network,’’ he’s a newsman merged with an entertainer. And Smith’s
takedowns make for great TV - especially when he’s defending Fox. On “Studio B’’
one day during the presidential race, liberal commentator Naomi Wolf casually
told Smith that “for the first time in a long time, people feel we don’t have to
hold our nose’’ in the voting booth. When Smith asked if she had held her nose
for Bill Clinton or John Kerry, Wolf said sarcastically, “OK, this is why I love
Fox News.’’
Smith went ballistic. “You said it! I didn’t say it!’’ he shouted. The tirade
went on, and ended with the warning, “Don’t you ‘Fox’ on me, ever!’’

Here is goes. Islamic authorities in the US will issue a directory of Muslims that "media editors and key people in government, universities, and policy research
institutes" should go to get their talking points and propaganda from.
This is yet another attempt to shut out and silence scholars on Islam like Robert Spencer, Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sultan, and Bat Ye'or, and shape the narrative to subdue the American masses. Don't believe your eyes, believe their Islamic lies.
In the critical war of ideas, who controls the message is key.
DIRECTORY OF EXPERTS ON ISLAM AND MUSLIM AFFAIRS PUBLISHED
MEETING TO BE HELD IN HERNDON, VIRGINIA
(Bethesda, MD, 7/20/09) Three American Muslim organizations have published a
directory listing sixty-five top experts on Islam and Muslim affairs for the use
of government, media, policymakers and academia. The directory is the product of
a collaboration of two Washington DC area think tanks, the Minaret of Freedom
Institute (MFI) and the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), and a
professional association, the Association of Muslims Social Scientists—North
America (AMSS-NA).
Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad, Ph.D., the president of MFI, heralded the directory
(available online at http://www.islamicresourcebank.org)
as “a much needed resource at a time when too many pseudo-experts with a weak
knowledge of these subjects, or with special agendas, have dominated the
discourse.” Dr. Ahmad noted that the experts in the directory are “both Muslims
and non-Muslims with a variety of views, but who have in common the fact that
they have an authentic, contextualized knowledge of their areas of expertise.
The IIIT will host a gathering of the experts in Herndon, Virginia on July
24-25 at which they will discuss emerging issues and how to effectively present
accurate information about their various specialties. The workshop is open to
the press who can RSVP to
Dr. Ahmad said that he sponsoring organizations are seeking to meet with
media editors and key people in government, universities, and policy research
institutes to make them aware of the directory. “We hope this will be on ongoing
project,” Dr. Ahmad said.
The Minaret of Freedom Institute is an Islamic think-tank based in
Bethesda, MD that promotes liberty and free market as well as being dedicated to
countering distortions and misconceptions about Islamic beliefs and
practice.
UPDATE: More on the The International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). It's a privately held non-profit organization concerned with issues of Islamic thought. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, the Institute was founded in 1981 AC (1401 AH) with seed money from the Muslim Brotherhood[1], and has branches and offices in a number of major cities worldwide.[2] (Wikipedia)
Islamic institution with ties to the extremist Saudi-Wahhabi movement
Seeks to portray Wahhabism as peaceful
Partner organization to the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences
A partner organization to the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences,
the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) defines itself as
"a private, non-profit, academic and cultural institution, concerned
with general issues of Islamic thought." Giving "special emphasis to
the development of Islamic scholarship in contemporary social
sciences," it works "from an Islamic perspective to promote and support
research projects, organize intellectual and cultural meetings and
publish scholarly works" that will help "the Ummah [Muslim
nation] to deal effectively with present challenges." Established in
1981, IIIT is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia (near Washington, DC),
and has set up branch offices in a number of capital cities worldwide.
The Institute seeks
to achieve its objectives by: "directing research and studies to
develop Islamic thought and the Islamization of knowledge"; "holding
specialized scholarly, intellectual and cultural conferences, seminars
and study circles"; supporting researchers and scholars in universities
and research centers, and publishing selected scholarly, cultural and
intellectual works, in English, Arabic and several other languages";
and signing agreements of cooperation with various universities,
research centers and academic institutions throughout the world to
carry out activities of mutual interest."
Controlled by the
extremist, Saudi-based Wahhabi movement, IIIT maintains that reports
about mosques distributing hate-filled literature are untrue,
and claims that the concept of jihad in no way condones or connotes violence. As an IIIT public-relations flyer puts it: "Jihad does not mean 'holy war.' Literally, jihad
in Arabic means to strive, struggle and exert effort. It is a central
and broad Islamic concept that includes struggle against evil
inclinations within oneself, struggle to improve the quality of life in
society, struggle in the battlefield for self-defense or fighting
against tyranny or oppression." The back of the flyer contains a list
of recommended websites and books on Islam. Among the authors of these
books are such apologists for extremism as John Esposito, Karen Armstrong, Hassan Hathout, and Bill Baker.
IIIT has numerous documented links to terrorism. According to court documents, in the early 1990s the organization donated at least $50,000 to a think tank run by Sami al-Arian, the World Islam Study Enterprise, which served as a front group for Palestinian Islamic Jihad. IIIT is also named as a defendant in two class-action lawsuits brought by victims of the 9/11 attacks. One alleges that the Institute received the bulk of its operating expenses from the SAAR network, whose component groups are accused in another class-action suit of being "fronts for the sponsor of al Qaeda and international terror." The same suit lists IIIT and nearly all of its officers as supporters of the SAAR network.
Moreover, IIIT's 2003 tax-exempt IRS filing lists a $720 donation to the al-Haramain Islamic Foundation of Ashland, Oregon, which was designated as a terrorist-funding entity by the U.S. government in 2004.
Once again, Palin is on the front page of the Puff ho (the attacks are daily) -- part of the relentless drum beat of the left to destroy this iconic individualist. The mission by objective? Ruin strong leaders on the right. Therefore, more daily pounding on the American psyche to destroy this popular figure.
Today's libel depicts Palin as psychologically fragile, weak, and about to break. As if. That's nerve. Palin is a rock. The Puff Ho, OTOH, is, well ......my kingdom for a look see into Arianna Huffington's medicine cabinet and Birkin bag ..............
It strikes me as pure envy that Arianna Huffington, who did not make it on her own, should undertake such a naked and pathetic campaign to destroy a superior specimen. Huffington was a high priced courtesan when she came to the States from her native Greece, via England. She didn't have to be. She had every advantage. Instead, she sold herself to the highest bidder, selling herself as a beard to a gay husband and getting remunerated for it handsomely.
Character alert: Huffington was accused of plagiarism for copying material for her book Maria Callas; the claims were settled out of court.[
Palin is everything that carpetbagger isn't. Palin's existence vaporizes the moochers, looters and destroyers like Arianna Huffington. Which is why the Puff Ho's attacks are so vapid, so unhinged, so relentless, so ugly.
During these years and around the time of her [Huffington] involvement with John-Roger's religious group, she was involved with Democratic politician and then-governor (currently Attorney General) of California, Jerry Brown.
It was during this time that Huffington (then Stassinopoulos) was first
known as a liberal/left-wing/Democrat, the position she returned to
once again in the post-90s following the right-wing years of the 1980s
to late 1990s.[citation needed]
She became a Republican when she married the gay Republican, Michael Huffington. Ed Rollins has publicly claimed that she offered to provide him with a prostitute if he would manage her husband's campaign. (The rumor is the prostitute was .......)
She met oil millionaire Michael Huffington, a family friend of the Bushes, at a 1985 party hosted by Ann Getty in San Francisco.
The couple were married in 1986 at a wedding paid for by Getty, who had
declared that she needed to find Arianna a husband. They moved to Washington, D.C.,
when he was appointed to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
for Negotiations Policy. They later established residency in Santa Barbara, California, in order for him to run in 1992 as a Republican for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, which he won by a significant margin. He was a political conservative
on most issues. Arianna campaigned for her husband, courting religious
conservatives, arguing for smaller government and a reduction in
welfare. In 1994 he narrowly lost the race for the U.S. Senate seat from California to incumbent Dianne Feinstein.[3] Arianna and Michael have two daughters: Christina and Isabella.
The couple divorced in 1997, and in 1998 Michael Huffington revealed that he was bisexual.[4]
A 1999 magazine article claimed that Arianna Huffington "entered the
marriage... with full knowledge of Michael Huffington's sexual
interests in men".[5]
The financial terms of their divorce agreement remain undisclosed.
Arianna Huffington chose to retain her former husband's surname,
although she had been known as Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington during
the period of her marriage. (more here)
She took her gay husband's payoff - and started a blog with leftopaths and barely literate Hollywood celebs.
Every time
I see her I can hear Ed Rollins' description of her ringing in
my ears. Here is how Rollins, who managed Michael Huffington's
1994 California Senate run, described Arianna and her husband
in his book "Bare
Knuckles and Back Rooms":Since
early July, I'd been working for two of the most unprincipled
political creatures I'd ever encountered. One was such a complete
cipher he gave empty suits a bad name. But his wife was even
worse - a domineering Greek Rasputin determined to ride her
husband's wealth to political glory at any cost....
Arianna
Huffington had charmed me out of my socks to get me to manage
her husband's campaign. But in a few short months, I'd come
to realize that she was the most ruthless, unscrupulous, and
ambitious person I'd met in thirty years in national politics
- not to mention that she sometimes seemed truly pathological.
Could her bio be any more different than Sarah Palin's? Palin is everything this useful idiot is not. She is good, real, honest and smart. She has a solid marriage with a man she adores - healthy marital relations -the glow is unmistakable :)- Huffington married a gay man to give him a beard and she was paid handsomely for it. Sarah builds, Huffington destroys. Sarah is honest, Huffington is dishonest and a vile disinformationalist. Sarah has a fabulous sex life, Arianna has ............. well, I'll refrain here from being cruel.
These two dig each other.
Huffington hates Palin. Remember that. The hatred of the good for being the good. Huffington hates Palin because she is everything the Puff ho ain't. It's that simple.
Did anyone just catch that anti-semitic segment on FOX evening news with Chris Wallace? Earth to FOX - your anti-Israel bias is showing. Reena Ninan is reporting on a very small protest in the Israeli village Naalin (in Judea/Samaria, where a fence is being built to keep out "Palestinian" Islamic homicide bombers). Why FOX is covering this asshattery while ignoring the brutal slaughter in Iran (and Somalia, Sudan, blah blah blah) is transparent. The violent "peace" agitators (made up of Israeli "peace" activists and "Palestinian" Muslims) at this "protest" were hurling rocks and had stopped the work on the fence - so the Israeli security forces sprayed some harmless smelly repellent (think skunk) into the crowd as well as tear gas. See photo right, that's the whole protest (agitators and security) at its height - this is AP, they always try to make it look worse. So you can see, it's a non-event and in the FOX video it's even less people.
Why doesn't FOX cover protests in NYC (that are ten times, twenty times the size) against Chavez, Ahmadinejad, or Iran? They don't. I know, I cover them. They ain't there.
Back to the manufactured news story in Israel: drama queen Reena Ninan
starts coughing and acting like she is in some kind of jeopardy. This
is called full-of-shitnik press. Did she actually expect us to believe
she was in danger at any time? No one was hurt. She is there filming,
for heaven's sake. In Israel, no safer place for a journalist. Can the same access be had in Muslim countries?
Why isn't the brave Ninan covering the hi-tech security system the Saudis are building, including a fence, around the whole of its 9,000 kilometer border? She should go to Saudi Arabia and dress up in a cloth coffin type garment, aka burka, and cover the story. Why isn't diva Ninan in Iran? Why isn't brave and tough Ninan covering how the authorities handle protesters in Iran? What clownish antics. And FOX did an entire segment on this non-news item just to make the Jews look bad. If I can get the video, I'll post. If you see it, send.
Is FOX trying to more like CNN? FOX was chasing CNN's trail last week in the Michael Jackson coverage.
Assclowns all.

UPDATE: Here's the video - FOX played it all day and talk of excessive force. Excessive force.
Watch the asshats talk aboout the "violence" (no one was hurt) in the "Palestinian" territories (no it's Israel, Judea and Samaria is Israel). Meghan Kelly squawking "unbelievable tape, Reena", and Kelley further destroying her credibility by spouting "that was the Israeli military unleashing that, on these Palestinian protesters". You have to watch and know that at the same time the mullahs are going after protesters with axes, batons and guns, today. Has Meghan Kelly seen this Iran: The Revolution or spoken in any depth of Neda.
Stop reporting lies and kissing the asses of savages and bloodthirsty
thugs. Here's the real news out of Israel - and this just technology
(not science, medicine, culture etc). Perhaps this is why the desert
savages are blind with jealousy and want to extinguish this culture of
life:
If the wearer's condition deteriorates to a point where he or she
enters the "danger zone," the patch alerts the cell phone to send out
an SMS or other message to medical personnel
UPDATE 10:13 pm: Obama says we did not win the cold war. OBAMA REVISING HISTORY. Obama said, "We don't have to diminish other people in order to recognize our role in that history". Yes, he said that. Listen to this - WATCH IT:
Who can forget how the media derided and mocked George W. Bush when, after a 2001 visit, he said of Vladimir Putin, "I looked the man in the eye. I was able to get a sense of his soul, a man deeply committed to his
country and the best interests of his country."
So it is amusing to watch the media cows groveling at Obama groveling to an evil despot (note, in the article, the media is still blaming Bush). Am I the only American who winces in embarrassment when Obama does his ass kissing/apology tours?
July 7 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. President Barack Obama lauded Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for his service to Russia, continuing a three-day push to overcome the animosities of the George W. Bush era.
“I am aware of not only the extraordinary work you have done on behalf of the Russian people in your previous role as prime minister -- as president -- but in your current role as prime minister,” Obama told Putin.
Yes, invading Georgia was an extraordinary moment. He appears weak and easily beatable. The man is groveling to Russia. I am going to puke.
When queried in his press conference with Mededev by Ben Feller of the Associated Press as to whether he
trusted his Russian counterpart and whether he believed he's truly in
charge, Obama said:
"I trust President Medvedev"
On the matter of whether Prime Minister and former President
Vladimir Putin is really calling the shots, Obama was even more simpering.
"My understanding is that President Medvedev is the president. Prime
Minister Putin is the prime minister. And they allocate power in
accordance with Russia's form of government, in the same way that we
allocate power in the United States," he said.
Obama wishes.
Could you imagine if Bush had displayed such stupidity and naivete? They would have ripped Bush to shreds. Trust Medvedev. What asshattery. Groveling to Putin. This 8 years after Bush "looked into Putin's eyes". So eight years later, we know what he is.
Putin is a KGB thug who has assassinated numerous journalists. Does Obama admire Putin's war in Grozny? He trusts Medvedev? Wow. I mean just wow. There really is no word for this kind of stupidity. It's more than stupidity, it's just evil. The only nuclear reduction the Russians will undertake is selling more of their weapons to America's enemies.
The Washington Post has long prided itself on its access to the capital's
elite. Now, it appears, the paper is willing to sell that access.
In a flier circulated to Beltway lobbyists, the Post touted a "salon" program
which gives "exclusive access" to "Obama administration officials, Congress
members, business leaders, advocacy leaders and other select minds" for between
$25,000 and $250,000.
White House officials said privately Thursday that the administration had no
idea that the Post was peddling access to its officials.
After news of the salon program broke and received wide circulation on the
Internet, the Post canceled them.
"This should never have happened. The fliers got out and weren't vetted,"
Weymouth told her paper. "They didn't represent at all what we were attempting
to do. We're not going to do any dinners that would impugn the integrity of the
newsroom."
I have a piece today in the Canada Free Press on the perfidy of the media in their lack of coverage of the Iranian revolution. This historic event has cataclysmic implications for the course of human events; instead, the media obsesses over the cocktail of drugs has-been Michael Jackson was using to assuage the pain of his oh so tragic life. Ugh.
Despite Obama’s passivity, Iran and its henchmen are blaming America for the
uprising. Hezbollah’s deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said Thursday: “The
extent of Western and American involvement in Iran’s internal affairs is now
clear. What is going on in Iran is not a simple protest against the results of
the presidential election. There are riots and attacks in the streets that are
orchestrated from the outside in a bid to destabilise the country’s Islamic
regime.”
As that regime strikes back hard, I do not believe the movement has been
quelled, but I do believe it has been silenced. And this is partly due to the
failure of the Western media. The mainstream media fearlessly took on Bush,
Rumsfeld, Cheney. They were so tough on those who didn’t share their ideological
views. They had no fear of those they ridiculed, marginalized, tongue lashed
mercilessly. Who can forget how they climbed all over each other to get embedded
into Iraq so that they could make America look terrible?
But when it came to really doing their job, they have been absent on Iran.
Why weren’t they clamoring to get into Iran to cover an historic, cataclysmic
event? CNN has been the only news network to cover Iran in any depth. FOX has
been negligent in its lack of coverage. Left leaning sites on the Internet have
been leading the way – notably the Huffington Post, whose reporter Nico Pitney
has been almost a singular voice in speaking up for the Iranian protesters. And
blogs like Revolutionary Road and Get Honest Third Eye deserve commendation for
doing the job the mainstream media has not been doing. Get Honest Third Eye had
the first video that showed an Iranian being shot on camera by government
officials. The shooting occurs while the person filming is quite far away, but
the video then shows closer images of his body.
It is indelible images like those that reveal the full horror of what
has been going on in Iran. But now, Iran’s citizen journalists have gone dark.
The tweets are not coming in. “New” twitters, pro-Ahmadinejad (twitters with
ironic names like “antifascista”) have been tweeting vile propaganda. The media
can talk about
Michael Jackson all day, with no news coming out of Iran to distract
them.
The only losers are those who are yearning to be free.
Here is an interesting piece on how the Muslim supremacists change the narrative and infect the national dialogue with their propaganda. In today's CAIR Alert is a fallacious piece. Playing on the "secret prison" meme - what secret? We are talking about them(!). CAIR promotes the work of a little known leftist blogger who fantasizes about "secret US prisons".
Citing this little known left wing blog, they send a factually incorrect piece that leftwing blogs pick up and run with as if it were the god's truth. The science of propaganda -- you'll notice the big welcome to all the leftwing blogs that linked this asshattery.
The government is using secretive prison facilities on U.S. soil,
called Communication Management Units, to house inmates accused of being tied to
“terrorism” groups. They overwhelmingly include Muslim inmates, along with at
least two animal rights and environmental activists.
Accused? No these are convicted prisoners. CONVICTS. Since when do convicts get to pick their prisons?
Little information is available about the secretive facilities and the
prisoners housed there. However, through interviews with attorneys, family
members, and a current prisoner, it is clear that these units have been created
not for violent and dangerous “terrorists,” but for political cases that the
government would like to keep out of the public spotlight and out of the
press.
OPENED QUIETLY AND PERHAPS ILLEGALLY
"Quietly" -- what did he want? A parade down Fifth Avenue? "Illegally" - so says the red now green blogger.Meanwhile we are reading all about it.
In April of 2006, the Department of Justice proposed a new
set of rules to restrict the communication of “terrorist” inmates. The
proposal did not make it far, though: during the required public comment period,
the ACLU and other civil rights groups raised Constitutional concerns. The
program was too sweeping, they said, and it could wrap up non-terrorists and
those not even convicted of a crime.
The Bureau of Prisons dropped the proposal. Or so it seemed. Just a few
months later, a similar program (now called the Communication Management Unit,
or CMU), was quietly opened by the Justice Department at Terre Haute, Ind.
Then, in May of 2008, a handful of inmates were moved, without warning, to
what is believed to be the second CMU in the country, at Marion, Il.
Both CMUs are “self-contained” housing units, according to prison documents,
for prisoners who “require increased monitoring of communication” in order to
“protect the public.”
WHO IS HOUSED AT CMUs?
The CMUs are less restrictive than, say, ADX Florence, the notorious supermax
prison for the most dangerous inmates. The supermax holds al-Qaeda operative
Zacarias Moussaoui and Unabomber Theodore J. Kaczynski.
CMU inmates stand in sharp contrast to the Moussaouis and Kaczynskis of the
world, though.
There are millions of Moussaouis but only one Kaczynski. How do you equate the two?
They include Rafil A. Dhafir, an Iraqi-born physician who
created a charity called Help the Needy to provide food and medicine to the
people of Iraq suffering under the U.S.-imposed economic sanctions. He was
sentenced to 22 years in prison for violating the sanctions.
Translation: He was sentenced to 22 years by a jury of his peers. In February 2005 Dhafir was convicted of 59 out of 60 charges. Dhafir had run an unregistered (and unaudited) charity, "Help the Needy". The 59 convictions included:
not recording the $400,000 of his own money that he contributed to the fund
using a portion of the funds he collected to aid needy for his own benefit
circumventing the laws against sending funds to Iraq, without a license
Five other people, including his wife, had already pleaded guilty before him. “There were charges of money laundering, tax evasion, mail and wire
fraud, but also Medicare fraud. His wife was the billing manager in his
medical office."
They include Daniel McGowan, an environmental activist
sentenced to seven years in prison for a string of property crimes in the name
of defending the environment. He was previously at FCI-Sandstone, a low-security
facility, and was transferred without notice to the CMU, and told it was not for
any disciplinary reason.
And, until recently, they included Andrew Stepanian.
Stepanian was convicted of conspiring to commit “animal enterprise
terrorism” and shut down the notorious animal testing laboratory Huntingdon
Life Sciences, in a landmark First Amendment case pending appeal. The
government’s case focused on a controversial website run by an activist group
that published news of both legal and illegal actions against the laboratory. He
was sentenced to three years in prison, and is currently on house arrest in New
York City. Stepanian is believed to be the first prisoner ever released from a
CMU.
Convicted Prisoners all.
VIOLATION OF DUE PROCESS RIGHTS
Attorneys and prisoners have said that inmates are transferred to the CMUs
without notice and without opportunity to challenge their new designation, in
what seems to be a clear violation of their due process rights.
[...]
For many inmates in federal prisons, phone calls, mail and visits are flecks
of light in the darkness.
Prisoners transferred without notice? So what? Who died and made them the Queen of England? They broke the law.
“No one got a hearing to determine whether we should or should not be
transferred here,” said Daniel McGowan in a letter from the CMU in Marion, Ill.
Similarly, Rafil A. Dhafir said in a letter to his family from the CMU in
Terre Haute, Ind., that he was put in isolation for two days before the move.
“No one seems to know about this top-secret operation until now,” he wrote. “It
is still not fully understood… The staff here is struggling to make sense of the
whole situation.”
“We are told this is an experiment,” Dhafir says. “So the whole concept is
evolving on a daily basis.”
Ah, so they released documents on the policies. So what's the secret?
CONTINUING A TREND
The creation of secret facilities to primarily house Muslim inmates accused
of non-violent charges, along with a couple animal rights and environmental
activists, marks both a continuation and a radical expansion of the “War on
Terrorism.”
First, it is a continuation of the “terrorism” crackdown that Arab and Muslim
communities have intensely experienced since September 11th.
911 warranted a serious crackdown. Helloooooooooooooo...
Guantanamo Bay may
be closing. But as Jeanne Theoharis
beautifully wrote recently: “Guantánamo is not simply an aberration; its
closure will not return America to the rule of law or to its former standing
among nations. Guantánamo is a particular way of seeing the Constitution, of
constructing the landscape as a murky terrain of lurking enemies where the
courts become part of the bulwark against such dangers, where rights have limits
and where international standards must be weighed against national security.”
Nuts.
His post has a lot more left wing/Islamic hogwash -- if you are interested in their propaganda, read on.
Former US President Jimmy Carter, left, sits with Ismail Haniyeh, head of Gaza's Hamas government, during their meeting in Haniyeh's "office" in Gaza City. Does Haniyeh's office double as the morgue?
It was Carter who gave rise to the Islamic Republic of Iran and threw the Shah out with both hands.
Look at this evil gremlin now. He should be shunned, imprisoned for acts of sedition. Instead, the left press treats with him respect. Where are our elected officials speaking out against this? Where are the voices of freedom and liberty? Morally ill, DC is bankrupt. Literally and figuratively.
There are two Americas. One is drinking the Kool-aid, mainlining the kool-aid, kool-aid on the IV. And the other half is searching, working, choosing who edits their news.
The former watch the Obamas frolic in the White House, dance with Ellen Degeneres, play with that weird looking dog, enable future gulag-type living. If this doesn't whack them over the head with the 2x4, then they're lost. This makes Pravda look independent.
On the night of June 24, the media
and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President
Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move
that has ignited an ethical firestorm!
Highlights on the agenda:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room
of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special --
'Prescription for America' -- originating from the East Room, exclude opposing
voices on the debate.
I don't know if you caught this, but Sheppie has become a media dahlink over at the left wing mother ship, Media Matters, where the lemmings get their left wing talking points every day.
UPDATE: How dangerously insane is the left? Over at has-been Tina Brown's pale imitation of the Huff Po, The Daily Beast (Beastly indeed), they are twisting the Nazi Von Brunn's motives. The new leftopath narrative is not about this 89 year old Nazi shooting up the Holocaust museum in an attempt to kill Jews .... no. This was an attack on...... OBAMA! I kid you not.
James von Brunn was charged Thursday for the Holocaust Museum shooting, and new reports
suggest his anti-Semitism was tied to theories about Obama that
flourish on the Web. Why von Brunn’s network of online extremists are
increasingly dangerous, and becoming violent.
Among other things, alleged Holocaust Museum killer James von Brunn
is a “birther”—someone who subscribes to one of the many elaborate
conspiracy theories regarding how Barack Obama is constitutionally
ineligible to be president, because supposedly he isn’t a natural-born
American citizen. Today police found a note in von Brunn’s car, reading
in part, “The Holocaust is a lie. Obama was created by Jews.”
The only thing that could replace the media's obsession with the murder of a late term abortion doc is a .........right wing Nazi (National Socialists are lefties, but why split hairs?). I was floored last night while watching an exchange between Ellis Henican (Newsday) and Bill O'Reilly discussing that lack of coverage for the jihadi who murdered a US soldier, wounded another and planned attacks of churches, Jewish centers and other targets.
Henican dismissed the Islamic attack on the Arkansas military station and murder of a US soldier as a random act of violence. Henican remonstrated with O'Reilly, asking, "What about the 9,000 other murders in the country? Why not discuss them as well?" [paraphrasing]. So the left narrative is that there is no war on the West, there is no jihad. Surrender. But the abortion doc, according to Henican, is enormously important, because there is a moral value. Henican's moral value? Not that the murdered doctor performed over 60,000 late term abortions of viable babies, but that he was murdered -- which is undeniably terrible and wrong. The criminal who shot Dr. Tiller had a prior record (as did the shooter of the Holocaust Museum security guard). Why did these nuts have guns? I do not believe in gun control, but I do believe that criminals should lose the privilege of gun ownership. That's the law, is it not? Why aren't we pursuing the failure of law enforcement on this issue? Why isn't the media even talking about that?
If anyone grabs the video clip of O'Reilly/Henican, please send it on.
But back to the media's Nazi party. This random killer, 89 year old Nazi Von Brunn, is vile, and I hope his gunshot wound kills him. But he does not represent a threat to the West, to our society -- he is a whackjob. The Nazis lost the war in World War II. This disconnect the left wing media is suffering is lethal for Americans, and particularly dangerous for non-believers (Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs etc.). The murder of Private Long is the news story that should be given 24/7 coverage. Abdulhakim Muhammad, a soldier in the war for Allah, said he was justified. He said, "It wasn't murder, it was war". The same war that killed almost 3,000 Americans on 911. The same war that has committed 13,358 Islamic attacks since 911. The same enemy that vows to annihilate the Jews and destroy Israel. The same enemy that is taking over Europe. The enemy makes no secret of their hate, their intent, their ultimate objective.
Did the media give this woman any coverage? What if she was screaming in defense of Nazi Von Brunn's ideology?
Video taken at a remembrance rally for the murdered soldier, Private Long, who was gunned down last week by a proud Muslim.
I thought Atlas reader Audrey had a spot on observation, prompted by my remark, "How relieved everyone in the media was ... that the shooter was not a
Muslim -- now they can talk about it, now they can spend all day on it
and analyze every irrelevant factoid":
I don't know how I can continue as I am, to be
surprised/shocked/appalled by the shameless hypocrisy. I'm listening to
the circus at the Holocaust Museum. It's been going all morning and
will continue for the rest of the day. Does my memory fail me, or have
there been a number of extremely violent acts against Jews -- Seattle?
etc. -- where the killer was a Muslim, and there was no such big show.
Maybe it's me -- but I see this phony fiesta as nothing to do with
horror at this ugly murder and anti-semitism -- no one there gives a
damn about that -- it ONLY has to do with the fact that it was a
"Right wing Nazi."
The FBI said the killers face was in all newspapers and on TV and asked
the public to call in if anyone has any information on him or any
possible accomplices. Did they do the same when the killer was (how
many times?) a violent Muslim?
Did I hear the FBI guy say that the FBI doesn't approve of violent hate crimes??? Huh? Did someone think they might?
So now they have more reasons to go after Jews -- (and tea partiers, and our military) -- in the name of Nazis.
Oh, Mr. Nazi Killer has served the Obama camp and the Islamist DHS very well.
Our new president did not tell a virulent anti-Semite to travel to the
U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington to kill Jews, but he is
most certainly creating a climate of hate against us.
It is no coincidence that we are witnessing this level of hatred toward
Jews as President Barack Obama positions America against the Jewish
state.
Just days ago Obama traveled to Cairo, Egypt. It was his second trip in
a short time to visit Muslim countries. He sent a clear message by not
visiting Israel.
But this was code.
In Cairo, Obama said things that pose a grave danger to Jews in Israel, in America and everywhere.
And
if his views are not vigorously opposed they will help create a danger
as great as that posed by the Nazis to the Jewish people.
Just last week, Obama told his worldwide audience — more than 100
million people — that the killing of six million Jews during the
Holocaust was the equivalent of Israel’s actions in dealing with the
Palestinians.
This remark is incredible on its face, an insult to the six million
Jews who died as a result of Hitler’s genocide — and it is a form of
revisionism that will bode evil for Jews for years to come.
While Obama acknowledged that “six million Jews were killed — more than
the entire Jewish population of Israel today” — his discussion about
the Holocaust was followed by this statement: “On the other hand, it is
also undeniable that the Palestinian people — Muslims and Christians —
have suffered in pursuit of a homeland.”
“On the other hand . . . ”?
Obama’s clever construct comparing the mass genocide of six million
Jews to the Palestinian struggle will not be lost on the estimated 100
million Muslims who tuned into to hear him.
Perhaps it was not lost on James W. von Brinn,
the 88-year-old white supremacist identified as the alleged attacker
Wednesday at the Holocaust Museum. He apparently felt that he could
easily take retribution against the Jews for the atrocities Obama
implies they are guilty of.
Julia Gorin expands upon what I wrote earlier about earlier -- the rabid media loving Nazis vs the subdued media reportage on Islam. Gorin opined, "Before the press goes on a feast over the next several days, giving legs to the Holocaust Museum story because a white guy is the culprit in something that normally has a different kind of culprit (which is why those stories do not have legs), it’s very important to make the following BRIEF point:"
When people such as 89-year-old white supremacist James Von Brunn, who attacked the U.S. Holocaust Museum, see the impunity with which Jews are being targeted around the globe by Muslims, it’s only a matter of time before they take an example.
Especially when they see that each “isolated” incident is met with a shrug by the world, which declines to read anything ominous into it; when they see the way authorities struggle and stretch to classify every such incident as non-terrorism; and when they see that the killer’s kind isn’t demonized — but rather defended and even allowed to dictate the terms of the West’s relationship with it — it’s practically an open invitation.
My somewhat tongue-in-cheek article “Razablanca” goes to the point of this dynamic.
After spending his whole life trying to be content to just badmouth Jews and running a website to galvanize people against them — while watching another culture actively killing them as world bodies and leaders reach for a common, middle ground with that culture — Von Brunn finally picked up a weapon.
Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama's Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above above the world, he's sort of God." (hat tip JM)
This is the sickness we are dealing with. I pray that these remarks go viral and that men and women across this great nation begin to see the enemies at work in the fifth column. A schmuck like this should be fired summarily, but he won't be, because he accurately reflects the sentiments of the America hating left.
Cursed are those who give the name of good to evil, and of evil to what
is good: who make light dark, and dark light: who make bitter sweet,
and sweet bitter!
Cursed indeed. The exaltation of hate and demonization of good.
It is reprehensible the way the media treated Bush, a good and decent man - a great American. This evil foolishness, this worshiping of a false and enormously flawed idol will bear poisonous fruit.
I have explained numerous times the obvious deleterious results of funding the jihad via shariah finance.
First off, we know that a percentage goes to fund.......... "charities," known in Islam as "zakat". Think Holy Land Foundation. Jihad is a righteous pursuit in Islam. Do you want to finance that? Secondly, all investments must be "halal". That means there can be no investments in key sectors of American business - alcohol, tobacco and certain classifications of entertainment. Do you want to assist in bankrupting whole business sectors while funding Islamic jihad? FREE MARKETS! Laissez Faire! America!
Think about it. Everything that the Islamic propaganda machine is feeding to a subdued, compliant press is taqiyya (deception of lies to advance Islam). Islam is the only religion that demands that propaganda and deception be used to subjugate the non-believers.
CNN and Money Magazine do a special on faith-based investing and manage to find
an extremist couple for their Muslim case study...and of course they don't even
know it...or they choose to look the other way... (hat tip Christopher)
This week, CNN and Money magazine ran an article focusing on the role of
faith in the personal finances of certain families.
In the article which they published which deals with a Muslim family, we have
discovered a whole slew of questions with regard to matters outside of personal
finance which, not surprisingly, the lapdogs at CNN and Money totally
overlooked, or perhaps ignored.
The article is about the Saroya family from Pakistan who have settled in
Minneapolis and starts off with Kashif Saroya facing a dilemma since the Qu’ran
forbids “paying or receiving riba, usually understood as interest.”
This is an interesting point (no pun intended) because there are actually
Muslim scholars who dispute this very point. They claim that the prohibition of
riba actually refers to usury and not all interest. It has only been since the
rise of Jihadists and the promotion of Shariah that this prohibition has been
interpreted widely as forbidding all interest.
So, right from the start, the article errs, or at least ignores the fact that
there is indeed controversy over this fundamental matter. Once again, our media
lapdogs have neglected to conduct proper research and demonstrate a lack of
curiosity.
The article goes on to describe how the Saroyas took out a Shariah-compliant
mortgage and (I must concede this much) it did point out that such a mortgage
does cost them $1800 more per year than a conventional mortgage.
This revelation is a rarity. Shariah-Compliant mortgages are convoluted
constructs designed to conceal the fact that they are in fact patterned after
conventional mortgages. In fact–and the article neglects to mention this
unfortunately–the Saroyas can take an interest deduction on their
Shariah-Compliant mortgage according to the IRS!
At any rate, these Shariah-Compliant mortgages, which are often advertised as
“interest-free” typically cost more than a standard interest-included mortgage.
The fact that they are advertised as “interest-free” is just another example of
the lousy disclosure practices of the Shariah-Compliant Finance industry.
Now we get into the really disturbing part of the article, which illustrates
just how irresponsible CNN and Money magazine were in selecting subjects for
their faith-based investment profiles.
It seems the Saroyas have put a large sum of money toward establishing a
local chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Good grief. Many readers of SFW won’t need an introduction to CAIR, but we’ll
give it just the same.
The Council of American Islamic Relations is a front group for the Muslim
Brotherhood and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation
terrorism financing trial.
CAIR’s chief, Nihad Awad, has declared his support for HAMAS, a Jihadist
terrorist organization: (read the rest here)

- Society of Americans for National Existence ... As
Shariah-compliant finance continues apace, professionals and policy
specialists continue to ignore a fundamental danger: the lack of disclosure of
all the material facts relevant to a post-9/11 investor.
Who the hell knows who the ridiculous Katie Couric is bowing to with the muslim call to prayer alarm clock for her kids -- suffice it to say that it will please Obama for starters. This whole video, which is on KKKatie's channel, is naked media navel gazing. The left wing media is completely and utterly enamored with itself (they are the story now). (hat tip Martin - thanks for the laugh)
We all watched for 8 years while the left derided, disrespected, and ferociously impugned Bush and company over deaths in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The relentless pounding took its toll on the American psyche.
147
people were killed during fighting on Monday night and Tuesday in Afghanistan, the deadliest case of civilian
casualties in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion that ousted
the Taliban regime. The muted reporting on this is interesting, with the Obamedia using terms like "if true". Was Bush ever given that benefit of the doubt? War is ugly, no doubt, but this is too much.
Will Cindy Sheehan and Jody of Code Pink be camping our in front of dear leader's Hyde Park home? Will the supplicant press corp berate Obama at his daily press conference or stick to "enchanted" questions? Just askin.
If this were the Bush administration would the headline read this way?
KABUL – The U.S. military
said Friday reports that as many as 147 civilians died in fighting involving
American forces and the Taliban were
"extremely over-exaggerated" and investigators were still analyzing the data
collected at the site.
In the south, meanwhile, four NATO soldiers and 21 civilians died in a string
of insurgent attacks, and an unmanned U.S. drone crashed in central Ghazni
province.
Officials said preliminary findings of the joint U.S.-Afghan investigation
into the deaths in the villages of Ganjabad and Gerani in the western Farah
province could be released as early as Friday, but they have yet to schedule an
announcement.
Reports of the large number of civilian deaths come at an awkward time for
the Obama administration, as the U.S. steps up its military campaign here while emphasizing the
importance of nonmilitary efforts to stabilize the country.
While the reports of civilian deaths at the hands of international force in
the past were met by an immediate outcry from President Hamid Karzai's administration, this time the
response was muted. The most ferocious reaction came from lawmakers in the
parliament, who demanded of foreign troops' operations be regulated by a special
agreement with the Afghan government, without specifying what that would
entail.
A local official said that he collected from residents the names of 147
people killed during fighting on Monday night and Tuesday. If true, it would be
the deadliest case of civilian
casualties in Afghanistan since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion that ousted
the Taliban regime.
This is one post I relish writing. The parent company of the New York Times reported a first-quarter loss of
$74.5 million yesterday. Halivay! If anyone, dear leader or anyone in DC, proposes to save this treasonous scum newspaper -- revolution. No one single media entity has done more harm to this great nation over the past century then these scurrilous bastards. The damage is incalculable. But we can certainly see the poisonous fruits of their seditious narrative playing out in our nation's capital everyday.
Expect Atlas to do a Lady Godiva down Broadway the day those traitors shut their doors. Let the countdown begin.
The
New York Times Company reported a first-quarter loss of $74.5 million on
Tuesday, compared with a loss of $335,000 in the period a year ago, as it joined
the roster of newspaper companies recording the steepest advertising declines in
generations.
Advertising revenue at the company’s publishing
segment fell 28.4 percent in the quarter, including an 8 percent decline in
Internet advertising at the News Media Group.
The worst drop, 31.6 percent, occurred in the New
England Media Group, which consists primarily of The Boston
Globe and its site, Boston.com.
The company has told unions at The Globe that the paper was on track to lose $85
million this year, and that unless deep cuts were made, the paper would be sold
or closed.
Internet businesses accounted for 12.8 percent of
the company’s revenue compared with 11.1 percent in the first quarter a year
ago.
Other publishers have had similar declines in
newspaper ad revenue in the first quarter, the sharpest drop since the
Depression, and far worse than analysts predicted just a few months ago.
The Times Company’s
total revenue of $609 million, down 18.6 percent from $747.9 million in the
first quarter a year ago, fell more than $20 million short of analysts’
projections.
Newspaper circulation revenue recorded a slight
gain, in the wake of price increases. And revenue at the company’s About Group,
a collection of Internet businesses that includes About.com,
fell 4.7 percent.
Despite the gloomy numbers, chief executive Janet L. Robinson tried to paint a
bright picture by saying that the company was well ahead of its goal to cut
overhead expenses by $230 million and that the first quarter was traditionally
the weakest one in the newspaper industry.
The cuts, while painful, are necessary for a paper that, like most in the
country, is losing readership and advertisers at a rapid clip. Though with each
succeeding cut the net savings will diminish, and at some point the paper could be
so thin that no one will want to read it.
Now, with Iraq winding down, the left can focus on the real enemy - the Jews. Cindy Sheehag is taking her freak show on the road, doing "speaking tours". Why is it troubling? Cindy is a fringe hack - agreed. But I was there covering those anti-war rallies in 2003, 2004, 2005 etc., when those protests were a small group of fringe hacks. But the left is relentless. It doesn't matter how many attend. They do not stop until they achieve their goal. Look at America. Look who was elected just seven years after 9/11.
Sheehag and keffiyeh
Here's is what was published in the local newspaper:
Cindy Sheehan
Peace activist Cindy Sheehan will be in Albuquerque this weekend for a series of talks.
Sheehan is known for her protests of the Iraq war after her oldest son, Casey, was killed in combat in April 2004.
Sheehan will make three appearances while in New Mexico.
Her first is Saturday morning at 10 at the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice. Later on in the afternoon, she will join activists at the corner of Tulane and Central in Nob Hill at 1 p.m.
Sheehan's New Mexico visit wraps up Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with a public address at Smith Brasher Hall at CNM.
And so she came ...exploiting her son and spewing her special brand of hard left venom. I have been covering these "anti-war" protests for years and they always injected their vile brand of jew hating poison at every leftist rally.
Atlas reader Roger W was Cindy's circus and he sent this report and these vile pictures. This is where the left is going.
Pamela I am one of your readers who happened to take some photos you might find interesting. Today Cindy Sheehan started one of her speaking tours here in Albuquerque, NM and then attended a rally afterwards.
About 20 anti war, anti Israel protesters showed up to protest with her. It was published in the local paper but there was still a small turn out. I have noticed Sheehan and the protesters have turned from the anit war movement to primarily being anti Israel. I have included several pictures for you to use if you like.
I think I was too kind when "met' her on her 2007 I hate America tour.
