June 15, 2009 – Washington, DC: The District Director for California State Senator Carol Liu (D-La Cañada) was served last week in a federal fraud and racketeering lawsuit. Tahra Goraya was served on Wednesday, June 10th while at work at the state senator’s Glendale office serving the 21st District.
Goraya served as “national director” of the Council on American-Islamic Relations at the time of the alleged fraudulent scheme perpetrated by CAIR and its national leadership in Washington, D.C.
According to the complaint filed by former CAIR clients in November 2008, Goraya was directly involved in the fraud and cover-up. Goraya apparently resigned from CAIR sometime after the fraudulent scheme was fully underway and moved back to her home state of California. There she took a job as District Director for California State Senator Carol Liu. Goraya was served with the summons and complaint at Senator Liu’s Glendale offices. She has until June 30th to file her response with the court.
The federal racketeering (or RICO) lawsuit was filed November 18, 2008 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia by four former CAIR clients. The complaint alleges criminal fraud and racketeering against CAIR, a self-described Muslim public interest civil rights law firm. The lawsuit also names CAIR’s national leadership, including Goraya, as individual defendants.
The lawsuit alleges that Morris Days, who served as the “Resident Attorney” and “Manager for Civil Rights” at the now defunct CAIR chapter in Herndon, Virginia, was in fact not an attorney and that he defrauded hundreds of CAIR clients by failing to provide legal services for which they had paid.
While attorney David Yerushalmi represents the four plaintiffs in this particular lawsuit, two of whom are African American Muslims, the complaint alleges that according to CAIR internal documents, there are hundreds of victims of the CAIR-Days fraud scheme.
According to the complaint, CAIR failed to conduct a background check on Days prior to hiring him and when they did discover his massive fraud, rather than inform their clients and authorities, they immediately set about to conspire with Days to continue the fraud and to cover it up. CAIR officials purposefully concealed the truth about Days from their clients, law enforcement, the Virginia and D.C. state bar associations, and the media. When CAIR began fielding irate calls from clients about Days’ failure to provide competent legal services, CAIR fraudulently deceived their clients about Days’ relationship to CAIR, suggesting he was never actually employed by CAIR, and even concealed the fact that CAIR finally fired him for criminal fraud.
“The evidence has long suggested that CAIR is a criminal organization set up by the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas to further its aims of stealth Jihad in the U.S.,” Mr. Yerushalmi was quoted at the time of the filing referring to the fact that CAIR has been named by the federal government as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror financing trial which led to multiple convictions, including at least one CAIR founding member and senior executive.
“But our investigation and this complaint make clear that CAIR’s criminal activities know no bounds,” Yerushalmi continued.
“According to the facts as carefully laid out in this complaint,” Yerushalmi explained, “CAIR has engaged in a massive cover-up of a criminal fraud in which literally hundreds of CAIR clients have been victimized and because of the CAIR cover-up they still don’t realize it. The fact that CAIR has victimized Muslims and non-Muslims alike demonstrates that CAIR is only looking out for CAIR and its ongoing effort to bilk donors out of millions of dollars of charitable donations thinking they are supporting a legitimate organization.”
After serving all of the defendants except Morris Days and Tahra Goraya, the plaintiffs learned that Days had died from lung ailments and Goraya had left for California. Because the 120-day time limit to serve the summons and complaint was nearing, the court granted the plaintiffs more time to serve Goraya and this was accomplished last week.
Goraya is the director of the 21st District office of Senator Liu, which serves Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Cañada Flintridge, San Gabriel, Temple City, and the Los Angeles communities of Tarzana, Encino, Reseda, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, North Hollywood, Silverlake, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, Atwater Village, and Chinatown.
The CAIR defendants have filed a perfunctory motion to dismiss, which the parties fully briefed and submitted to the court in mid-March of this year. Mr. Yerushalmi said he expects the court’s ruling at any time. When asked about next steps, Mr. Yerushalmi said: “We are fully confident the court will deny the CAIR defendants’ motion and allow discovery to proceed. We are eager to begin examining CAIR’s internal documents and taking testimony. In the meantime, we have heard from additional former CAIR clients and victims and expect to either call them as witnesses or include them as additional plaintiffs.”
The complaint also alleges that in addition to covering up the Days fraud scheme, CAIR officials in D.C. forced angry clients who were demanding a return of their legal fees to sign a release that bought the client-victims’ silence by prohibiting them from informing law enforcement or the media about the CAIR-Days fraud. According to the agreement, if the “settling” clients said anything to anyone about the fraud scheme, CAIR would be able to sue them for $25,000.
This enforced code of silence left hundreds of CAIR client-victims in the dark such that to this day they have not learned that Days is not an attorney and that he had not filed the legal actions on their behalf for which Days and CAIR publicly claimed credit.
The complaint identifies CAIR as a racketeering enterprise under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), which is a criminal racketeering statute that allows victims to sue the defendants in civil court. In addition to damages, the plaintiffs are seeking injunctive relief under this and other statutes to shut down CAIR and to prevent the individual defendants from engaging in public interest legal work in the future.
The named defendants are: the Council on American-Islamic Relations Action Network Inc. (dba CAIR); Nihad Awad aka Nihad Hammad who serves as executive director of CAIR National; Parvez Ahmed who was the chairman of the board of CAIR National during the relevant time period; Tahra Goraya who was the national director of CAIR but who has since resigned; Khadijah Athman who is the manager of the “civil rights” division of CAIR; and Nadhira al-Khalili, Esq., who is in-house legal counsel for CAIR.
According to the complaint, CAIR’s in-house Washington, D.C.-based attorney Khalili was directly involved in taking the legal files out of the CAIR Virginia office and concealing them in the D.C. office.
Also named as defendants are Ibrahim Hooper and Amina Rubin, CAIR’s director of communications and coordinator of communications, respectively. According to the complaint, these two were directly responsible for issuing fraudulent press releases about the Days fraud scheme, thus aiding and abetting the CAIR cover-up.

Who are we and what are our goals?

4. Our group seeks to promote a human rights agenda. The specific enemies of human rights we are struggling against are, in addition to ignorance and apathy, those groups and individuals in the United States and elsewhere who are part of, or supporters of, Radical Islam. These groups include, amongst others, Al Queda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Deobandi Islamists, the Iranian regime, and other supporters known as Wahhabists (fundamentalist Muslims and Islamists). Additional groups and ideologies that fight against human rights are the “enablers” of Radical Islam. These groups and ideologies include “political correctness,” the mainstream media (which often blame terror attacks on 'South Asians' or 'militants', rather than simply naming the enemy, and which seeks to employ tactics of moral equivalence), university faculties (which often employ known members of terror groups, such as Sami Al-Arian, and Rashid Khalidi, who was a PLO spokesperson, and similarly teach “post-modern” moral equivalence), student groups such as the International Solidarity Movement (which acts as “human shields” and aids and abets Radical Islam); and “human rights” groups, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the United Nations (which, through ignorance, misunderstanding, paternalism, willful blindness or guilt, fail to appreciate Radical Islam’s threat to decency, tolerance and peace). These “human rights” groups have taken over the English language, claiming they believe in 'peace', when in fact they are often aiding and abeting Radical Islam.
5. This group will be tarred and feathered in the press as being 'Islamophobic', even as we seek to promote the human rights of Muslims. Our group will always show a tolerant and moderate message of human rights; however, it is a simple fact that those who seek to promote the truth about Radical Islam face the claim of being “Islamophobic.” In order to avoid pitfalls others have fallen into, this group will never debate theology. The group’s goal is not to present Islam as inherently one way or another, but rather to showcase the human rights atrocities going on across the world, in order to spur action. If necessary, a legal defense fund will be set up to ensure that our human rights message is seen and heard around the world.
Thousands of people, representing Buddhists, Christians, Jewish, Hindus, Sikhs and other groups, under the banner of Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam, will be staging a peaceful Rally on Sunday, May 3rd at 42nd Street and 7th Avenue – Times Square, NY City.

Muslim Anjem Choudary could face a police inquiry over calls to his followers to hide evidence from investigators.
Scotland Yard is examining a video of a 90-minute speech by Choudary on an extremist website.
On
the tape he apparently says: 'Your house should be clean. There should
be nothing at all there which they can come along and then can form
some sort of intention.'
He also allegedly urges terror suspects to flee Britain, telling them: 'Don't take your chance in court.'
Choudary,
41, whose supporters recently hurled abuse at soldiers from the Royal
Anglian Regiment returning from Afghanistan, is under constant review
by MI5 and police. the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorism command
is examining his latest speech.
Police are already believed to be examining whether he broke the law in calling for money to be collected for islamic fighters.
On
a website he has allegedly been heard calling on Muslims not to save
money for their families but to give it to Mujahideen - holy warriors.
It is an offence under the terrorism Act to raise money for terrorism, whether in this country or overseas.
Last week, the families of soldiers killed by friendly fire in Iraq reacted with
fury after Choudary, the right-hand man to cleric of hate Omar Bakri, taunted them over the deaths of their loved

A head teacher today won more than £400,000 damages for being forced out of
her school after being branded a racist.
Erica Connor, 57, who was head of New Monument School, Woking, where 80 per
cent of pupils are Muslim, claimed she had been the victim of a campaign of
harassment by some of the school governors who accused her of Islamophobia.
Deputy Judge John Leighton Williams QC at the High Court said education
officers had been more concerned about complaints to the Commission for Racial
Equality than the health of their head teacher.
He said Surrey County Council was negligent in not stepping in to help Ms
Connor before she was forced to retire through ill health in December 2006
following a breakdown.
He ordered the council to pay the damages for her psychiatric injury, to
include loss of income and pension, medical expenses and the loss of the career
she loved.
Ms Connor, a divorced mother of one, said her troubles started in 2003 when
four Muslim governors were appointed to the governing body.
They included a convert called Paul Martin, and another man, Mumtaz Saleem.
The four "effectively railroaded" governors' meetings, repeatedly raising
issues of religious education, content of assemblies and prayers.
They wanted more formal Islamic worship in the school and closer links with
the local mosque.
Mr Martin complained repeatedly about the ethos and Ms Connor's management.
An investigation acquitted the school of racism or religious bias.
But after that an anonymous petition was circulated among parents, saying
that those who signed it "no longer have confidence in Erica Connor to educate
our children in a way that respects and values our

It seems to me that what is needed is a new way forward. Clearly Obama's goals and aims run counter to the constitution, the fundamental tenets of America and the objectives of the framers of this great nation.
So, I suggest we take a page from the leftards who would release sensitive or classified info to The New York Times to handicap the US government's ability to shield and protect us from jihadi attacks. Remember all those leaks on FISA and NSA - blowing the lid off the wiretaps on the foreign phone calls of jihadis into the states. Well, no one was prosecuted or even indicted for leaking classified info, right? Not only did we not prosecute, we lauded the leakers! The 2006 Pulitzer prize went to Dana Priest for publishing the leaked story on CIA "secret' prisons abroad - which proved to be false, but why split hairs?

American spy chiefs have told the President that the CIA has launched a vast
spying operation in the UK to prevent a repeat of the 9/11 attacks being
launched from Britain.
They believe that a British-born Pakistani 'extremis't entering the US under
the visa waiver programme is the most likely source of another terrorist
spectacular on American soil.
Media translation: "extremist" = pious.
Intelligence briefings for Mr Obama have detailed a dramatic escalation in
American espionage in Britain, where the CIA has recruited record numbers of
informants in the Pakistani community to monitor the 2,000 terrorist suspects
identified by MI5, the British security service.
A British intelligence source revealed that a staggering four out of 10 CIA
operations designed to thwart direct attacks on the US are now conducted against
targets in Britain.
And a former CIA officer who has advised Mr Obama told The Sunday
Telegraph that the CIA has stepped up its efforts in the last month after
the Mumbai massacre laid bare the threat from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the militant
group behind the attacks, which has an extensive web of supporters in the UK.
Now what will President Hussein do with this intel? Probably increase the number of approvals of Paki Muslims applying to the US for entry.
We cannot sit back and believe that an Obama government is going to aggressively protect and defend us from jihad - when he has publicly declared his sympathy with jihad.
So we must do what we have been doing with the porkulism package - defeat it, defend ourselves. We must take a much more active role in local, state and federal government.

UPDATE: OT but quasi related. Remember during the campaign President O claimed that Iraq was not the problem, the real war on terror (a phrase that is no verboten) was in Afghanistan? Remember how he said he was going to redeploy our assets to Afghanistan? Remember? Well .........forget it.
Geller: To what extent did the Islamic doctrines of jihad and the requirement to subjugate infidels under the rule of Islamic law enter into your calculations for Iraq, and do you think the persecution of Christians had anything to do with those doctrines?
Feith: Well ... uh, the jihadist ideology was obviously a major... issue, uh, in our analysis of the strategy for the war on terrorism. And one of the things the Pentagon took the lead on ... was calling attention to the ideological component of the war on terror, and one of the things I deal with with in the book (which is a very sad story), was how it was Rumsfeld and General Myers and others at the Pentagon, who over and over again, right from the beginning, right after 9/11, were emphasizing the importance of an ideological effort, a strategic communications effort and a general strategy for countering ideological support for terrorism. And when the rest of the government wasn't doing very much in that area, we created within my office, within the policy office at the Pentagon, the Office of Strategic Influence to do work in this area. And the Public Affairs people in the Pentagon and other people around the US government were very unhappy with the creation of this office, some of it was for turf reasons and some of it was for other reasons, but one of the consequences was somebody leaked - well, leaked, no - no, somebody lied - to The New York Times and gave a report saying that this Office of Strategic Influence was intending to lie to foreign journalists. And The New York Times ran a front page story saying that. It caused a big imbroglio that resulted in the shutting down of this office.
I don't think the US government has recovered to this dayfrom that fiasco, because every time anyone suggested creating an office to really deal with jihadist ideology in a systematic or strategic way at the Pentagon, people would say, oh, no, we are not going to have another Office of Strategic Influence problem. And that meant the Pentagon couldn't do it, and the Pentagon was the place that kept recognizing the importance of the ideological struggle. The State Department, which was the logical place to do it, for its own institutional and cultural reasons wasn't inclined to fight the battle that way, and they tended to think that all we needed was a public diplomacy campaign. Uh, and that's why you got all these brochures that were famous about rebranding America and showing how America treats its Muslims very nicely and ...which is a fine thing to do but it is far short of an ideological campaign against jihadist extremism. And so anyway, I would say that one of big deficiencies in our strategy on our war on terrorism remains a serious effort to counter Islamist ideology.
Now your question was, how does that relate to Iraq, Iraq ... I mean, we did not view Saddam Hussein as, you know, as... pushing that ideology - the Baathist ideology was quite different, but what we were concerned about was that Saddam was the kind of guy who, for the other reasons, would likely be fighting us in the future as he had fought us in the past, and that he might, in a future fight with us, use his connections with various terrorist groups, some of whom were jihadist extremists, use them to hurt us. So we were concerned about that, but, uh, obviously the Saddam Hussein regime didn't have the same ideology as, for example, the Taliban regime had, which was much more in line with the jihadist ideology of Al Qaeda.
It's worse than I thought. State department brochures to fight the
jihad. It took so little to derail any real understanding of the enemy
that means us dead or subjugated.
I guess that was when we lost the war.
Rumsfeld got it. Right after 911 Rumsfeld got it. But we had already been infiltrated.

Regarding Wilders – We are revisiting the 30’s. Quisling politicians are turning their backs on their citizens in efforts to appease fascists. That is evident by the lack of response during the recent demonstrations calling for Jews to be gassed and put into the ovens, in conjunction with the sacrificing of dissidents like Geert Wilders. Unless each and every one of us stands beside Geert, loudly raise our voices and demand that our politicians do the right thing – another Holocaust is just around the corner. We simply cannot remain silent and docile any longer – too much is at stake.
Efforts must extend beyond the blogs as much as possible. Each and every one of us must continually write to the Dutch Embassy, and our Government officials, demanding that freedom is protected. Our politicians must be made to understand why Geert Wilders should matter to them. Islam will only get away with this evil if we allow them to. It is up to us to make our politicians accountable to us – not Islamic Fascists. Your readers should watch the movie Sophie Scholl. It will make them realize that what happened to that young girl is being replayed with Geert Wilders.

The
Jordanian Muslim movement The Messenger of Allah Unites Us (TMA) is
excited that Wilders will be prosecuted by the court in Amsterdam.
Juridical procedures in Jordan will lead ‘within 10 days’ to an
international warrant for his arrest.
‘Finally Dutch justice takes measures against these terrible crimes’ said, Zakaria Sheikh, chairman of TMA, today in De Volkskrant.
According to Sheikh, statements by Wilder lead to ‘the worldwide sowing of hatred and violence’.
The Islamic action club (TMA) began in June last year with a boycott against Dutch products because of Wilders’ movie Fitna.
At
that time a juridical procedure against the Dutch parliamentarian was
initiated that had to lead to an international arrest warrant and
possible extradition to Jordan. Sheikh expects the arrest warrant
within 10 days.
Criminals
TMA said to the Dutch
newspaper that it ‘does not have any problems with the Dutch people’.
‘But these criminals must be brought to trial’, said Sheikh.
Even
so the action club doesn’t want to stop its boycott against Dutch
products — which presumably is a great success. ‘We have touched the
hearts and minds of the consumers’, said Sheikh.
The Dutch judicial authorities are going to prosecute Geert Wilders, one of
the 150 members of the Dutch Parliament, for making the movie Fitna. In this
short documentary, which explains what happens if a number of verses of the
Koran are taken seriously, Mr Wilders compares the Muslims’ holy book to Adolf
Hitler’s Mein Kampf. He claims the Koran calls for violence against
Jews and other non-Muslims. Fitna can be seen here.

statements are insulting as well since these statements substantially harm the

The Court is of the opinion that
“a criminal prosecution and a possible conviction later on … does not
necessarily conflict with the freedom of expression of Wilders, since statements
which create hate and grief made by politicians, taken their special
responsibility into consideration, are not permitted according to European
standards either.”
The Court also states that
“the instigation of hatred in a democratic society constitutes such a serious
matter that a general interest is at stake in order to draw a clear boundary in
the public debate.”
Since Mr. Wilders is the founder and leader of a political party, the Dutch
Freedom Party PVV, which currently holds nine seats in Parliament and whose
popularity is rising fast, the Court also addressed the question whether
approval or disapproval of Mr. Wilders’ opinions should not be left to the
electorate.

Vienna - Austrian far-right parliamentarian Susanne Winter was
convicted Thursday of incitement because of her anti-Muslim statements,
including the claim that Islam's prophet Mohammed was a paedophile.
Is truth no defense? Of course, the whole concept of pedophilia did not exist
in Muhammad's day, but when he is taken as the supreme example of human conduct
and imitated today, what results is...pedophilia. Muhammad's consummation of his

Muhammad in this. Article 1041 of the Civil Code of the Islamic Republic of Iran
states that girls can be engaged before the age of nine, and married at nine:
“Marriage before puberty (nine full lunar years for girls) is prohibited.
Marriage contracted before reaching puberty with the permission of the guardian
is valid provided that the interests of the ward are duly observed.”
The Ayatollah Khomeini himself married a ten-year-old girl when he was
twenty-eight. Khomeini called marriage to a prepubescent girl “a divine
blessing,” and advised the faithful: “Do your best to ensure that your daughters

The Austrian authorities have indicted politician Susanne Winter
on charges of incitement and degradation of religious symbols and
religious agitation. This offence carries a maximum sentence of two
years. Last January, Ms Winter said
that the prophet Muhammad was “a child molester” because he had married
a six-year-old girl. She also said he was “a warlord” who had written
the Koran during “epileptic fits.”
The politician, a member of the Austrian Freedom Party FPÖ, an
anti-immigration party which is in opposition, added that Islam is “a
totalitarian system of domination that should be cast back to its
birthplace on the other side of the Mediterranean.” She also warned for
“a Muslim immigration tsunami,” saying that “in 20 or 30 years, half
the population of Austria will be Muslim” if the present immigration
policies continue.
Following her remarks, Muslim extremists threatened to kill Susanne
Winter and she was placed under police protection. Today, the Justice
Department in Vienna announced that Ms Winter will be charged with
“incitement and degradation of religious symbols” (Verhetzung und Herabwürdigung religiöser Symbole). If convicted she may have to serve up to two years in jail for her opinions.
However, Alfred Hrdlicka, the Austrian “artist” who depicted Jesus and his apostles engaging in homosexual acts of sodomy during the Last Supper,
has not been indicted. Nor will he be. Depicting Jesus sodomizing his
apostles is not considered to be a “degradation of religious symbols”
in Austria, but referring to the historic fact that Muhammad married a
six-year old girl is “incitement to racial hatred.”
Neither has Mr Hrdlicka been threatened by Christian assassins for his
"opinions." The difference between Christian and Muslim extremists is
that the former do not aim to kill those who offend them, but the
latter do – which is perhaps also why the European authorities fear
the radical Muslims and persecute their opponents while they subsidize
those who insult Christians.
From 1970 thru 1992, while serving in five separate U.S. embassies in Latin America and Europe, I was involved, often directly, with organizing the embassy's proceedings on election night and inauguration day. Never in my tours of service have I ever heard of any political party's representative, especially those members who are part of the foreign policy machinery of the government, being "disinvited" after a formal embassy invitation had been proffered; it flies in the face of diplomatic protocol and good judgment.
The closest similar incident that I recall happened after the election of Reagan in 1984, and there were questions raised within the embassy about inviting the head of the Fremskrit ("Progressive") Party to the inaugural celebration because of his very strong opposition to Third World immigration into Norway. In the end, Karl E. Hagen was invited, (I believe is still a member of the Norwegian legislature or "Storting") for it was considered improper, and a violation of protocol not to do so.
The decision to ban the members of Vlaams Belang to the inaugural viewing had to have come from Washington. No ambassador—at least no perceptive one—wishes to burn his bridges to the legislative body of the nation to which he is accredited; aside from being stupid, it is counterproductive in fulfilling his objectives. Yet, in some ways, it does not surprise me. I can tell you that Foreign Service officers have delivered "demarche"—a diplomatic move or request—to foreign countries, including North African nations, about the evils of smoking. I wonder what the late George Kennan would think of such an action by our government.
The Foreign Service Officers at Embassy Brussels will have to live with that decision, but I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut that they were not responsible for it.
Hindu, Jewish groups hold demo near White House
WASHINGTON: More than 100 activists and members of some Hindu and Jewish organisations held a demonstration near the White House, urging new US President Mr Barack Obama to take strong steps against terrorism.
“Yes, We Can And Must Defeat 'Jihadists',” read one of the banners as the demonstrators shouted slogans yesterday demanding Pakistan be declared a terrorist state and Iran stopped from making nuclear weapons that threaten Israel.
The three-and-half-hour demonstration was organised under the banner of “Coalition for Peace.” Most of the banners called on the new administration to protect the free world from “radical” Islam. To accomplish this, demonstrators said, the President mu st seize Saudi assets in order to pay for the extremists' crimes against humanity and recognise that Pakistan has played a double-game with the US, presenting itself as an ally of America, while, at the same time, hosting terrorists, who are especially t argeting their next-door neighbour India.
They said it is same radical ideology which led to terrorist attacks in Mumbai and “plagued” Israel for decades. Terrorism “is a problem not just for Israel and India, but for the entire Free World. It is also a problem for Muslims who yearn for freedom of thought...,” said Narain Kataria, one of the organisers. He said it is absolutely essential for the US, the world's only Super Power, to take the lead in “exterminating terrorism from the face of the earth.” - PTI

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Majalli Whbee today (Tuesday, 19 February 2008) hosted the delegation of senior Hindu religious leaders who have arrived in Israel to participate in the second Hindu-Jewish summit. The delegation includes senior religious leaders, researchers, and an entourage.
The first summit took place last year in New Delhi, and in this year's summit, the Indian and Israeli participants are expected to sign a declaration in praise of religious tolerance and of interfaith and intercultural discussion and discourse as a means of promoting peace and stability between all religions in the world.
At the meeting, Deputy FM Whbee welcomed the guests, emphasizing the importance of inter-religion dialogue and of the importance Israel places on its relationship with India, especially with regard to the political, defense and economic aspects, which currently amount to 3.2 billion dollars annually.
The Deputy FM briefed the members of the delegation regarding recent developments in the region, stating that in contrast to the past characterized by the Israel-Arab conflict, today there is a confrontation between the moderate bloc, in which Israel. Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia are members, and the radical bloc, led by Iran and which includes Syria, Hizbullah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Palestinian Authority. Deputy FM Whbee requested that members of the delegation act to strengthen the moderates in the region, as opposed to those who view terrorism as a legitimate means of disseminating extremist ideas. He also requested that the delegates assist in the issue of the three abducted soldiers, stating that Hizbullah has withheld any sign of life of the two soldiers it holds for over 600 days.
Members of the delegation expressed their surprise to find an Arab deputy minister in the Jewish state, and requested additional information of the ethnic-religious balance in Israel.Deputy FM Whbee shared his personal experience as a Druze, and concluded by stating that tolerance and patience are the keys to communal life in a multi-religion community.
The delegation closed the meeting with a communal Hindu prayer service, calling for peace in our region and in the entire world.

In the last 10 years India faced brutal terrorism in the form of
60,000 terror incidents that killed about 18,000 people, mostly due to
radical Islam. Pakistan ISI in coordination with Bangla Desh Security
agencies are in the process of carving out northern portion of India to
create Mughalstan, a contiguous area from Pakistan to Bangla Desh. Part
of this process is the 350,000 Kashmiri Hindus who were driven out from
their homes by Pakistan supported Kashmiri separatists and are living
as refugees in their own country for the last 18 years in squalid
camps. In Pakistan itself, 25% of minorities, primarily Hindus were
reduced to less than 1% in just the last 60 years. Similarly, in Bangla
Desh from 30% to about 7%. In both countries, minorities were
terrorized, raped, mutilated and their children and property taken away
from them.
Israel was hit with more than 10,000 rockets in the last 10 years.
In spite of withdrawing from Gaza, it faces a continued threatening
situation by rockets from Hamas. Iran, on the other hand, openly
declared to wipe out Israel and is busy building nuclear weapons and
supporting Hezbollah and Hamas militants. Israeli citizens are targeted
in many parts of the world by radical Islamists. There is growing
concern that nuclear Pakistan will inevitably assist other radical
Islamic countries to become nuclear. It declared that it will do first
nuclear strike if India goes to war against it in response to continued
Pakistan supported terrorism.
The Saudis are the biggest funders of terrorism. With one billion
dollar oil revenue per day, they are spreading hatred in young Muslim
minds through Madrassas and adult Muslims in Mosques with their
intolerant version of Islam. The Pakistan nuclear program was funded by
Saudis. Most of the perpetrators of 9/11 are educated Saudi citizens.
Saudi children are taught to hate other religions from pre-school.
Increasingly, Saudis are Islamitizing the West with sanitized versions
of Islam in Universities and the Media. The cash starved Western
institutions are falling easy prey to cash rich Saudis who have the
potential to buy most major corporations in the West and set the agenda
to radically Islamitize the West in just a few decades.
While the world sees it as a problem between Israel and Gaza,
Pakistan and India, the larger sight of radical Islam and its ambitions
to radically Islamitize while the whole world is lost on the
politically correct media and multicultural apologists, who are perhaps
as dangerous as terrorists, if not more. These apologists trumpet their
perceived discrimination of Muslims in troubled areas, but little do
they question the brutal treatment of minorities in Islamic countries,
fueled by radical psalmists. Nor do they care to comprehend the brutal
record of radical Islam which in the last 1400 years killed 270 million
people, of which are 120 million Africans, 60 million Christians, 80
million Hindus and 10 million Buddhists and the current battles are a
continuous ongoing jihad against non-believers.
What Israel and India represent, some of the oldest civilizations
that are surrounded by radical Islamic countries, are facing is the
best example of the future that awaits the rest of the free world.
Unless the free world comes together, we face a very dangerous
situation.
We believe that this is an appropriate occasion to draw attention,
through the powerful media covering this momentous celebration, to the
menace of radical Islamic terrorism. Only by coordinated action by
various groups consisting of Jews, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists as
well as Muslims who do not subscribe to radical Islam and through
sustained activism can we hope to counter the threat of radical Islam.

Wiesenthal Centre to Interior Ministers of France, United Kingdom,
Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Greece: "The Terror of Gaza Must
Not Be Transplanted to Your Cities, and Your Jewish Communities Must Be
Defended from Further Assaults"

In letters to the Interior Ministers of France, the United Kingdom,
Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Greece, the Simon Wiesenthal
Centre's Director for International Relations, Dr Shimon Samuels,
expressed "grave concern at the increasingly threatening situation for
Jewish communities in your country and across Europe. Pro-Hamas
demonstrations are encouraging extremists to take direct action against
the nearest communal institutions, synagogues and Jewish passersby."
The letter continued, "The banners and invective of demonstrators
are degenerating to calls for violence against your Jewish citizens.
Indeed, those calls reflect such incitement 'to murder Jewish children
worldwide' from Hamas senior officials, disseminated in Arabic and
European translations on Jihadist websites and Middle East satellite
television."
Samuels stressed that "European Muslim leaders must condemn such
voices and admit that Hamas and its allies endanger their own youth, by
sowing among them not only hate for Jews, but a revulsion for Western
values and for their own moderates."
The letter noted, "Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has advised
European diplomats that 'Hamas must not be allowed to win this war' for
the sake of peace in the region and for Europe's own wellbeing",
adding, "this means, Mr/Madam Minister, that the terror of Gaza must
not be allowed to be transplanted to your cities."
The Centre called on each Minister "to monitor and prosecute all
calls for, and acts of, antisemitic violence while, simultaneously,
reinforcing security in Jewish neighbourhoods and around community
institutions."
"Calls for violence, and assaults, so far in Metz, Toulon, Auber,
the Paris and London suburbs, Brussels and Antwerp, Berlin and
Frankfurt, Stockholm, Odense, and on the Volos synagogue in Greece,
must be treated as warnings and not be permitted by your respective
governments to become precedents.
Your Jewish communities must be defended from further assaults,"
concluded Samuels.
Cold, freezing rain be damned. Indians in New York came out to rally in front of that collective negation of humanity at the UN, against the pox on humanity, the jihad. I STAND WITH INDIA!

Late in the afternoon Geert Wilders presented FITNA (watch the film here) for the
first time in Middle East. It was an historic moment. Most everyone in
attendance welled up and was moved, shaken........ afraid. But the very tall,
and very sure of himself Geert Wilders composed himself and with purpose set the
stage alight with his passion.
Wilders teared up at the end of the showing of FITNA ..... it crushed me. I did not write of it because I thought it an intensely personal moment. I have since seen written about in the papers, and Ithought you ought to know. This is an extraordinary warrior.

Thank you very much.
It's a privilege for me to be here in this beautiful city Jerusalem, the capitol of the only democracy in the entire Middle East. When I was a teenager I lived some years here in this city and after that I visited Israel more times than I can count. Israel: the only country in the region with a functioning parliament, a rule of law and free elections. The only country in the region that shares the values of our Western societies, in fact is one of the foundations of our Judeo-Christian identity.
We are here to voice our concern over the growing Islamisation of the West. We do this in this city, the city of David. The city that, together with Rome and Athens, symbolizes our ancient heritage.
Perhaps a few of you may be new to Jerusalem, yet, Jerusalem is not new to any of you. We all carry Jerusalem in our blood, in our genes. We all live and breathe Jerusalem. We talk Jerusalem, we dream Jerusalem. Simply because, the values of ancient Israel have become the values of the West. We are all Israel, and Israel is in all of us.
This city is the capital of a democracy under threat. Israel is under siege, like the Jewish community in the Land of Israel is under siege for over a century now. Israel with all its glory and splendour is unique, and its history unparalleled. Yet, Israel’s security situation is not unique, and neither is its enemy.
Samuel Huntington writes it so aptly: “Islam has bloody borders”. Israel is located precisely on that border. This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, just like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way of the Islamic advance. Just like West-Berlin was during the Cold War.
Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other places to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Therefore, the war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Thanks to Israeli parents who see their children go off to join the army and lie awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and have pleasant dreams, unaware of the dangers looming.
At present the front-line of jihad runs not just through the streets of Tel Aviv and Haifa, but through the streets of London, Madrid, and Amsterdam as well. Jihad is our common enemy, and we better start Facing Jihad before it is too late.
Therefore, if we voice our concern over the Islamisation of the West, we have to do it here, where our civilization borders on Islam. Where jihadists fire Qassams into civilian homes in Sderot and Ashkelon, and where a doctor like Aryeh Eldad is characteristic of our civilization by treating terrorists the same way as he treats the Israeli victims. I salute Professor Eldad for his work for humanity, and for his patriotism. And I thank him for hosting this conference in this great city. Aryeh I am proud to be your friend. I will say a few things about the Islamisation of Europe and my film Fitna. I will use some examples from the Netherlands, because they are indicative for the situation on the continent.
The mass migration to the Netherlands continues full-speed ahead. Currently, a staggering number of new immigrants arrive every year, many of them Muslim, often uneducated, if not illiterate. Bringing along with them the local customs of the mountains and deserts of backward Islamic countries. Thousands and thousands of Muslims arrive in the Netherlands every year, while already one million Muslims are living in our tiny country.
There are many problems concerning this massive influx: immigrants are overly represented in social benefits and crime statistics and the overall costs are staggering. The financial costs of mass immigration in the Netherlands exceeds 100 billion euro’s.
But what we have to fear most is the creeping Islamisation, the stealth jihad. Because every Islamic neighbourhood, every Islamic shop, every mosque, every Islamic school, every burqa, every veil is regarded by many Muslims as building blocks towards a larger goal, towards domination.
This is in fact the essence of the problem. Not crime, not even the financial burden. The biggest problem is the demographic development, and the way it influences our society at large. Immigration from Muslim countries and the demographics will result in the Eurabia that the brave Bat Ye'or is warning about. It will become reality if we don't act now. A decade and a half ago, a then unknown American politician used the following slogan in his political campaign: “it’s the economy, stupid.” From now on the motto of my party will be: “it’s demographics, dumbo”.
More than forty years ago a British politician gave a famous speech. He stated that, looking into the future, he saw ‘rivers of blood’ as a result of the uncontrolled influx of immigrants. Enoch Powell’s speech was the starting point of a debate on mass immigration in Europe. As usual, the leftist establishment labeled him an extremist and his career went down. But the British people loved him, and supported Powell. London’s dock workers took him to their hearts, marching by the thousands in support of Mr. Powell.
Looking back, I share Enoch Powell’s alarmist views on mass immigration, but ‘rivers of blood’ is not something I see happening. We will not face civil war. Our political elite is trying to make us believe that the influx of Muslim immigrants is similar to the waves of immigration that took place centuries ago. Or they say that “Christianity developed towards modernity, and therefore Islam will do the same”.
How are we to remain a democracy if a large part of the growing Muslim population is in favour of introducing sharia law? How is Amsterdam to remain the gay capitol of Europe if gays are regularly beaten up by non western immigrants, often Muslims? How are the Jewish communities of Europe to survive with a growing presence of an ideology that is so blatantly anti-Semitic? How are we to remain a centre of cultural and scientific excellence if Islam opposes art, and academic exploration? How are we to remain an open and tolerant society if we are faced with part of the Muslim community favouring self-segregation and showing no desire for assimilation? How can we look to the future with confidence, when a large part of the population turns to a seventh century desert for answers?
These are the questions the multiculturalists don’t want to answer.
Instead of providing leadership our political elite fooled us by using our own principles against us. I will give you five examples.
First. Our tolerance is used as an argument to bring in more Islam, to bring in more Muslims, and a way to tell us that we should not criticize their Islamic culture, if you do you are labeled intolerant and racist.
Second. Democracy. A growing Muslim electorate is too hard for politicians to resist, so they give in to their grievances and demands to win their vote. Before long sharia law will be introduced, legally and democratically, by means of majority vote. The former Dutch Minister of Justice once said that sharia law could be part of the Dutch legal system if a two third majority of the population would be in favour of it.
Third. Our religious freedom is utilized by an ideology that has no plans whatsoever to play by our rules, yet demands the same rights our traditional religions have had for centuries;
Fourth. Our welfare state that once was the envy of the world, now functions as a magnet for a lot of non-Western immigrants, dreaming of a cushy life in wealthy Europe.
Fifth. Our open borders came to symbolize our open mindset, an example of our cosmopolitan hospitality. But now we have lost control of our borders and we can’t even keep track of who is entering our countries, let alone prevent them from entering.
Our Western principles are hollow if they are not accompanied by a desire to sustain our culture and our civilization, based upon knowing who we are and where we come from. We are not from Saudi-Arabia. We are not from Iran. We come from Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. That makes our civilization special, and certainly worth preserving.
In spite of all that, the political elite are still madly in love with their pet project, the multicultural society, as they call it romantically. Apparently they don’t live in the neighbourhoods that are turning Islamic. They will tell you “they are nice people. I don’t see the problem?” The Muslim immigrant’s demands sound reasonably to them, like: “let us have an extra-large mosque”.
It is very difficult to remain optimistic in the face of the growing Islamisation of Europe. The tide is turning against us. We are losing on every front. Regarding the demographics, Islam is gaining momentum. The ruling elite is even proud of the Muslim immigration. After all, this way they can show everyone that they are not racists. Academia, the arts, the media, trade unions, the churches, the business world, the entire political establishment have all converted to the suicidal theory of multiculturalism and cultural relativism.
Cultural relativism is the biggest disease modern day Europe suffers from. Not all cultures are equal. Our Western culture is better than the Islamic culture. In the words of the brave Dr. Wafa Sultan: “It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality”. Indeed also here in Israel you are not fighting a territorial war, it's not about territory it's about ideology. The Islamic ideology does not seek cooperation or assimilation but aims for submission and dominance over non-Muslims. There is no moderate Islam, there will never be a moderate Islam. There might be moderate people who call themselves Muslim, but there is no moderate Islam.
Leftist journalists and leftist politicians hasten themselves to label anyone critical of the Islamisation a ‘right-wing extremist’. The entire establishment has sided with Islam. Leftists, liberals, and Christian-Democrats are now enslaved to Islam. They are Dhimmi’s. Lenin once labelled ignorant people that unknowingly aided his cause ‘useful idiots’. Well, the West is now full of these ‘useful idiots’, and they are even proud of it.
Now some words about my film Fitna.
I felt I had the moral duty to educate people about Islam and the Islamisation of Europe. The duty to make clear to everyone that the Koran stands at the heart of what some people call terrorism but is in reality jihad. I wanted to show that the problems of Islam are at the core of Islam, and do not belong to its fringes.
I have warned against the dangers of the Koran and Islam in numerous interviews, opinion articles, speeches and of course parliamentary debates, but pictures often say more than words. That is why I made Fitna.
Fitna is a documentary that shows what is being done in the name of Islam. Without placing all Muslims into the same category, I think I have succeeded in showing that the Koran is not some dusty old book, but that it is still used today as a source of inspiration for, and justification of hatred, violence and terrorism across the world.
A few weeks ago the world has once again seen what Islam is capable of. In Mumbai, jihadists separated Muslims from non-Muslims, according to a witness in a Belgian newspaper. The non-Muslims, the Kaffirs, were subsequently shot. The terrorists also went straight for the tiny Jewish centre in Mumbai, where, according to reports made to an Indian news website, they horribly tortured Jewish people before brutally murdering them.
Most of the Western media stick to naming the culprits as being members of ‘separatist movements’. In doing so, they are missing the main point and are unjustly ignoring the Islamic nature of the terror attacks. After all, if it is a conflict about borders, why are they killing Jews in Mumbai? Why, in a city of tens of millions, find the jihadists the shortest way to the only rabbi in town – in order to kill him and his wife? Why are Israel’s enemies always shouting “Allah hoe-Akbar” and “kill the Jews” if all they want is peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding? Maybe, I’m just guessing, is it because they have an ideology that tells them to kill Jews, to kill unbelievers, and to advance Islam until there is world domination. Islam, after all divides the world in a dar-al-Harb, and dar-al-Islam. Islam is a totalitarian ideology full of hate, violence and submission.
From the day the plan for my short film was made public it caused quite a stir, in the Netherlands, in Europe and across the world. First there was a political uproar, with government leaders across the continent in sheer panic. The Dutch Minister for Foreign Affairs called on me to abandon my film project. The Minister of Justice let it be known that post hoc criminal proceedings could be initiated if the movie was shown. The Dutch government investigated the possibility of having Fitna banned in advance. The Dutch branch of the Islamic organization Hizb ut-Tahrir declared that the Netherlands was due for an attack. Internationally there was a series of incidents. The Taliban threatened to organize additional attacks against Dutch troops in Afghanistan and a website linked to Al Qaeda published the message that I ought to be killed, while the Grand Mufti of Syria stated that I would be responsible for all the bloodshed after the screening of the film.
In Afghanistan and Pakistan the Dutch flag was burned on several occasions. Dolls representing me were burned as well. The Indonesian President announced that I will never be admitted into Indonesia again, while the UN Secretary General and the European Union issued statements in the same cowardly vein as those by the Dutch government. I could go on and on. It was an absolute disgrace, a sell out. It was treason to our Western principles, it was treason to freedom of speech, it was treason to liberty itself. My own government was not defending me, but became my worst enemy in the process.
Because of Fitna the State of Jordan is currently litigating against me. Jordan wants to prosecute me for blasphemy, demeaning Islam and slandering the Prophet Muhammad; violations of the Jordanian Penal Code, even though the alleged violations did not even occur in Jordan. As you all know, Jordan is a non-democratic country, without an independent or impartial judicial system and without a strongly developed civil society. According to a recent study by Human Rights Watch, torture is a routine and widespread practice in Jordan.
Jordan’s attempt to prosecute me is an infringement on the sovereignty of my country, the Netherlands. It is an infringement on freedom of speech. Jordan’s attempt is in fact a hostile act towards freedom itself.
If Jordan succeeds in prosecuting a democratically elected member of a Western parliament, what kind of precedent would that set? But its not about me. The principle is not Geert Wilders. If you look at the press and the rest of the political elite in the Netherlands, nobody cared. Nobody gived a damn. This was the worst thing. A nondemocratic country like Jordan cannot use the international or domestic legal system to silence anyone. If this starts, if we allow this, we can get rid of all parliaments, and we should close down every newspaper, and we should shut up and all pray to Mecca five times a day.
But there is some hope. For instance there is some hope with the middle class workers. Underneath the empty bravado of the elite, the middle class worker, the average Joe, is starting to realise that there is something terribly wrong with Islam. In the Netherlands, sixty percent of the population considers mass immigration to be the worst mistake since the second world war. And an equal sixty percent sees Islam as the number one threat to our national identity. But the Freedom Party is the only political party in the Dutch parliament that shares their view.
And there is hope that political parties critical about the Islamisation of the West are gaining momentum all over Europe, are getting stronger. And we will work together with common legislation, with common initiatives, perhaps even with a common group in the European parliament as defenders of the West, defenders of our culture, defenders of our identity, defenders of our freedom.
We need a new way of thinking, a new paradigm, to defend our liberties. Just reiterating our devotion to tolerance and democracy is not good enough, as we are Facing Jihad. We need a new set of goals and ideas. We need new leaders. And we should always remember where we come from. We all come from Jerusalem.
Let me wind up. The essence of my short speech today is that Europe is in the process of Islamisation, and that we need to fight it. Because if we don’t fight the Islamization we will lose everything; our cultural identity, our democracy, our rule of law, our liberties, our freedom. We have the duty to defend the ideas of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. The ancient heritage of our forefathers is under attack; we have to stand up and defend it.
A century and a half ago, on the other side of the world, a young President said exactly what I mean. This is what Abraham Lincoln said in 1862, and I leave you with that: The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise — with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. (Abraham Lincoln, Annual Message to Congress, December 1, 1862)

An international conference on jihad that took place in
Jerusalem on Sunday highlighted what hawkish scholars on Islam described as
"real disputes" about the nature of the problem. The event also inspired the
controversial Dutch legislator Geert Wilders to plan a European follow-up in the
coming months.
"It's time for such an event in the Netherlands," the
far-right Wilders said on the terrace of Jerusalem's Begin Center, where the
event was held. "But the cost of security would be much higher in Holland than
in Israel."
Wilders - the only one of the six speakers to receive a
standing ovation from the 600 people in the audience - told his listeners that
"as the terrorist attacks in Mumbai proved, there's no moderate Islam," and it
is time for the West to realize it is "in a conflict with the Muslim faith at
large." He sided with scholars like Haifa University's David Bukay, who averred
that "moderate Islam" does not exist and that the Koran could not be reformed or
modernized.
But
American scholar and activist Daniel Pipes disagreed. Quoting Egyptian
philosopher Hassan Hanafi, Pipes said the Koran "is like a supermarket where one
takes what one wants and leaves the rest." This freedom of selection, he argued,
provides a means for reshaping Islam.

Francis, you should know that the subject you mention was NOT explicitely covered at the conference. Geert Wilders came closest to calling for an outright ban on Islam and he received tremendous applause from the crowd. The only speaker to specifically state apologetically that he believes the problem is "Islamo-fascism" versus Islam itself was Daniel Pipes. But anyone who reads Pipe's writing should have known this already. All the other speakers did not appear to agree with Pipes, although Professor Lewis mistakenly sounded somewhat like Pipes. However, I spoke to Lewis for about 20 minutes after the conference and he clarified his staunch view against Islam. I think he will clarify his opinion in future speeches.

Al-Zawahiri invites us to accept Islam, which Muhammad the prophet of Islam

posted Friday calling on Americans to embrace Islam to overcome the financial
meltdown, which he said was a consequence of the Sept. 11 attacks and militant
strikes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ayman al-Zawahri, whose 80-minute recording touched on a number of subjects,
also lashed out at Afghanistan's government and said any U.S. gains in Iraq will
be temporary.
Zawahri's new recording came in the form of a question-and-answer session
with an off-camera interviewer.
I gotta tell you, they are standing up in Europe. I respect them as I watch my fwellow countrymen in the USA bow, submit and prostrate themselves to please Islam. *sigh*
Parliament member Martin Bosma of the PVV (Party for Freedom)
thinks Islam shouldn't be considered a religion. He said that in parliament on
Thursday. "Islam is not a religion," according to Bosma.
The member of
Geert Wilders' party made his statement in a debate about religious education.
In it he agreed that religion is an important subject which should be discussed
in elementary school. According to Bosma that doesn't hold for Islam, which he
doesn't see as a religion. The PVV members didn't say in the debate what Islam
is then.
I will tell you what it is. It is an absolute political, social, military, legal, financial system of totalitarianism.
Earlier party head Wilders did give an indication to that. In
the HP/De Tijd magazine he said a year ago that "Islam is more an ideology than
a religion."
Israeli Knesset Member Dr. Arieh Eldad sent out an email today postponing the Facing Jihad conference originally scheduled for December 14-15th in Jerusalem.

I am sure that you will understand that as a politician running for the next term in the Knesset I have now to postpone it. Other factors that lead to the postponement were the illness of the main speaker, Bat Ye’or, author of “Eurabia,” the unavailability of the Knesset facility, and conflicts with the parliamentary and Congressional sessions in E.U., U.K., and Canada. This postponement will afford additional time to invite key US Members of Congress, Canadian anti-Jihad advocates and parliamentarians, Indian and Korean lawmakers, among others. The kerfuffle created by the alleged disinvitation of the Belgian separatist Flemish Party Vlaams Belang has been mooted with Dr. Eldad’s announcement of the postponement.
Do not listen to the pygmy behind the curtain. He is part of the problem, not part of the solution. And his reliable sources are ....unreliable, trust me. Bwhahahahahahaha.
We look forward to reconvening the Facing Jihad conference. We also trust that M.K. Dr. Eldad and colleagues on the Ha’ tikvah party list will be successful in their political campaign in the Israeli general elections scheduled for February 10th.
UPDATE: Dutch cabinet gives in: Wilders is no Hitler anymore
Two thousand Dutch schools will receive mail from the state-subsidized Day of Respect Foundation this week. The Foundation is forced by the Dutch cabinet to correct its class material that states that Geert Wilders is to be compared to Adolf Hitler. Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV) fought bitterly over the last days to have the text withdrawn.

Seriously, they will take each one of us down, one by one. I stand with Wilders. Dutch youths will learn next week in school that Geert Wilders is to be compared to Adolf Hitler. They will receive nationally-distributed class material that states “Geert Wilders’ film Fitna and Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf are based upon one-sided points-of-view. Fortunately, there are also other books and plays that -on the contrary- show respect for people with other ideas or faiths or that look different.”
The pupils will receive the class material highlighting the Day of Respect, a multiculturalist project. The project is funded by three departments of the national government: Education, Justice and Housing. The school material has a national distribution among 10-to-12 year olds. The pupils will receive the newspaper at school.
Geert Wilders: “The day of respect is a hate fest against the Freedom Party. According to the organization everybody deserves ‘respect’, but of course, if you stand for freedom and oppose the islamisation of the West you don’t deserve any respect at all. Then the government will tell children you have a problem with ‘people that look different’. They play the racism card.”
“We are extremely angry the Dutch Department of Education is involved in this project.
We demand from education minister Ronald Plasterk to immediate withdraw any cooperation. Children go to school to learn not to be indoctrinated”, says Wilders.
The Freedom Party wants the class material to be discussed in Parliament this week.
The Dutch government gives subsidies to a leftish liberal driven organization
that in the name of tolerance distributes a book for young children in which my
film Fitna and I are compared with Hitler and Mein Kampf (see below). This is an
unfortunate proof that criticism of Islam is being demonized by the Dutch
political elite once again. Europe is almost lost to cultural relativists and
pro-islamic appeasement. Now even in the most appaling way, Freedom of Speech is
being bargained away again. However, I will not, never, give in to this liberal
politICal correctness and shall fight back even stronger and more dedicated.

Who are these guys and could they be MORE WRONG? It's pretty obvious to me that Hassan and co. want to smear these folks because almost half do not belong on this list.

First Michelle Malkin (who I hear is wearing this "award" as a badge of honor). It is unearned. Over at Hot Air, Malkin has stopped running Robert Spencer's Blogging the Q'uran series, one of the most important and well researched video scholarship on the Q'uran ever attempted. Why did she kill it? Seems to me she is "moderate Islam's" best friend. Give me a fookin break.
The report outlines why each person is included and in Malkin's case they cite her post on terror donuts. Which is laughable because I broke the story a week before she made it her own. On May 18th I ran: Rachael Ray, Dunkin Donuts Jihad Tool and Debbie Schlussel noted May 28th, that I broke the story. Schlussel was peeved I was being cribbed with no attribution. So Malkin's spot is actually mine. She ran her post May 23rd, five days after I broke it.
If this was a dirty dozen on illegal immigration, Malkin would be the head of the class, but Islam?
Bill O'Reilly? Nuts! WTF is he doing on the list. The man never mentions Islam and when broaching the subject he has Ibrahim Hooper, front man for co-conspirator Hezbollah tied CAIR. After a year-long investigation, the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship
Commission has rejected a complaint by the Edmonton Council of Muslim Canadians
against former Western Standard publisher Ezra Levant over his republication of
the Danish Muhammad cartoons.
The allegation that the February 14, 2006, issue of the now defunct magazine
was likely to expose Muslims to hatred helped to spark a national debate about
human rights law and free speech, and its rejection comes after similar
complaints of Islamophobia against Maclean's magazine also failed.
Expose who to whose hatred. Acts of religious violence are the hallmarks of the Religion of pieces.
In a report on his investigation, which recommended the complaint not be
referred for a panel hearing, AHRCC Southern Director Pardeep S. Gundara wrote
that the cartoons are "stereotypical, negative and offensive," and they "do
reinforce stereotypes," but they were "related to relevant and timely news" and
were "not simply gratuitously included."
And if they were gratuitous? What's the dif? Freedom of Speech, baby
Aafia Siddiqui is a MIT-trained neuroscientist who married a top Al Qaeda operative who intended to blow up gas stations or poison water reservoirs in the United States.. She is a possible associate of Majid Khan and she is believed to have links to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. She allegedly arranged travel documents for another suspected terrorist.
While in custody she managed to grab a rifle start spouting jihad jizz while getting off two shots. She didn't hit anyone.

NEW YORK – Michael J. Garcia, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Mark J. Mershon, the Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI"), and Raymond W. Kelly, the Police Commissioner of the City of New York, announced today the arrest of Aafia Siddiqui on
charges related to her attempted murder and assault of United States officers and employees in Afghanistan. Siddiqui arrived in New York this evening and will be presented tomorrow before a United States Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. According to the Complaint filed in Manhattan federal court:
On July 17, 2008, officers of the Ghazni Province Afghanistan National Police ("ANP") observed Siddiqui outside the Ghazni governor’s compound. ANP officers questioned Siddiqui, regarded her as suspicious, and searched her handbag. In it, they found numerous documents describing the creation of explosives, as well as excerpts from the Anarchist's Arsenal. Siddiqui’s papers included descriptions of various landmarks in the United States, including in New York City. Siddiqui was also in possession of substances that were sealed in bottles and glass jars.
On July 18, 2008, a party of United States personnel, including two FBI
special agents, a United States Army Warrant Officer, a United States Army Captain, and United States military interpreters, arrived at the Afghan facility where Siddiqui was being held. The personnel entered a second floor meeting room -- unaware that Siddiqui was being held there, unsecured, behind a curtain.
The Warrant Officer took a seat and placed his United States Army M-4 rifle on the floor next to the curtain. Shortly after the meeting began, the Captain heard a woman yell from the curtain and, when he turned, saw Siddiqui holding the Warrant Officer's rifle and pointing it directly at the Captain. Siddiqui said, "May the blood of [unintelligible] be directly on
your [unintelligible, possibly head or hands]." The interpreter seated closest to Siddiqui lunged at her and pushed the rifle away as Siddiqui pulled the trigger. Siddiqui fired at least two shots but no one was hit. The Warrant Officer returned fire with a 9 mm service pistol and fired approximately two rounds at Siddiqui’s torso, hitting her at least once.
Despite being shot, Siddiqui struggled with the officers when they tried
to subdue her; she struck and kicked them while shouting in English that she wanted to kill Americans. After being subdued, Siddiqui temporarily lost consciousness. The agents and officers then rendered medical aid to Siddiqui.
Siddiqui, a 36-year-old Pakistani woman who previously resided in the United States, is charged in a criminal Complaint filed in the Southern District of New York with one count of attempting to kill United States officers and employees and one count of assaulting United States officers and employees. If convicted, Siddiqui faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on each charge.
Siddiqui lived in Roxbury and studied at Brandeis University as well as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She disappeared with her three children while visiting her parents' home in Karachi, Pakistan, in March 2003, right around the same time the FBI announced that it wanted to question her.

European Affairs Minister Andrea Rochi has actually called for

Indeed, it's an apt headline, describing a bona fide and boffo story from the
Italian news agency Il Tempo reporting that European Affairs Minister
Andrea Rochi has actually called for action requiring that "mosque supervisors
[in Italy] recognize Israel. Not only that, Rochi said, We must force those who
do not recognize Israel to leave the mosques.
Not sure how he'll put that one over, but bravissimo, Minister Rochi, for
the call to action.
But look at the Press TV lead:
Italy may take its discriminatory practices to a
new level, calling for measures to make mosque leaders quit unless they
recognize Israel.
Italy's discriminatory" practices? Mosque leaders who fail to
recognize Israel clearly recognize something else: the absence--the
eradication--of Israel. But to Press TV, that's not "discriminatory." It's the
pathetic cry of the victim, no doubt.
Gates of Vienna has the jawdropper of the day. This is the latest in the war on the West - harassing and arresting the truth tellers. The war of attrition.
Geert Wilders fears he will be arrested soon when traveling abroad,
due to his movie Fitna. Jordan is working on an international warrant
for the arrest of the PVV leader in order to prosecute him. Last
Monday the court in Amman found the complaint filed to be acceptable.
Wilders expects that the court will soon appeal for an international
warrant for his arrest, reports De Volkskrant. Jordan can possibly
make a request through Interpol. Such an appeal can be fought by the
Dutch government. It is also possible Jordan will ask individual
nations visited by Wilders to extradite him. In any case, the Wilders'
freedom of movement will be severely restricted. Wilders complains
about the uncertainty. "One never knows when it will happen. My
freedom of movement will be enormously limited and I cannot operate as
a politician," according to Wilders in De Volkskrant. The risks are
being mapped by the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The New York Times (!) did a wonderful piece on Jane Novak of the blog, Armies of Liberation. She is the quintessential blogger doing what she does for liberty, justice and democracy. I have had the distinct pelase of corresponding with her from time to time on Yemeni matters. She is tireless and intrepid and the nemesis of the brutalYemeni government. For Novak, the basic issue is freedom of speech. And so the Yemeni government despises her. She embodies the best of the blogosphere
It is rare that I send you over to the Times but this is a terrific piece. Please read and check out her blog. The title seems to minimize y=her stature but what would you expect from The New York Times, she is doing what they should be doing.
BEIRUT, Lebanon — Jane Novak, a 46-year-old stay-at-home mother of two in New
Jersey, has never been to Yemen.
She speaks no Arabic, and freely admits that until a few years ago, she knew
nothing about that strife-torn south Arabian country.
And yet Ms. Novak has become so well known in Yemen that newspaper editors
say they sell more copies if her photograph — blond and smiling — is on the
cover. Her blog, an outspoken news bulletin on Yemeni affairs, is banned there.
The government’s allies routinely vilify her in print as an American agent, a
Shiite monarchist, a member
of Al
Qaeda, or “the Zionist Novak.”
The worst of her many offenses is her dogged campaign on behalf of a Yemeni
journalist, Abdul Karim al-Khaiwani, who incurred his government’s wrath by
writing about a bloody rebellion in the far north of the country. He is on trial
on sedition charges that could bring the death penalty, with a verdict expected
Wednesday.
Ms. Novak, working from a laptop in her Monmouth County living room “while
the kids are at school,” has started an Internet petition to free Mr. Khaiwani.
She has enlisted Yemeni politicians, journalists, human rights activists and
others around the globe. Her blog goes well beyond the Khaiwani case and has
become a crucial outlet for opposition journalists and political figures, who
feed her tips on Yemeni political intrigue by e-mail or text message.
She says her campaign is a matter of basic principle. “This is a country that
lets Al Qaeda people go free, and they’re putting a journalist on trial for
doing his job?” she said. “It’s just completely crazy.”
But Ms. Novak does admit to a personal interest in the case. She and Mr.
Khaiwani have become close friends, though they have never met, and neither
speaks the other’s language. One of the charges against him is receiving a
cellphone text message from her, as part of an alleged plot (which he denies) to
aid the Houthi rebels in northern Yemen.
“The penalty for this crime is usually death,” Mr. Khaiwani said during an
interview at his home in the Yemeni capital, Sana, in January. A lanky
42-year-old with large, piercing eyes and a dark sense of humor, he has already
been jailed four times by the authorities in connection with his journalism.
Last year he was kidnapped and beaten by men he says were plainclothes police
officers.
Mr. Khaiwani added, with a broad smile: “If you add to this my relationship
with Jane Novak, it means the death penalty for sure.”
Ms. Novak does not fit the profile of a dilettante in exotic causes. A former
sales manager for a textile company, she speaks with a distinct Brooklyn accent,
having grown up in Flatbush. When a Yemeni government minister visited the
United States last year and invited the notorious “Jane,” as she is known
throughout Yemen, to go to Washington for a meeting, she turned him down. “It
was too much, the money, the kids, all for a one-day trip,” she said.
Nor does she have any background in Middle East studies. One of her opponents
in Yemen accused her of being a Zionist member of Aipac, the American
Israel Public Affairs Committee. “I had to Google
it,” Ms. Novak said with a chuckle. “I didn’t know what it was.”
It was after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that Ms. Novak, who used to work
not far from the World Trade Center, first took an interest in the Arab world.
“I thought it would be a good idea to write in the English-language Arabic press
on subjects we could all agree on, freedom of the press, equality, stuff like
that,” she said.
In 2004, she started her blog, www.armiesofliberation.com, adorned with a Stars and Stripes logo,
and soon wrote an article defending Mr. Khaiwani, who was in prison. He wrote
her a letter of thanks, addressing it to “Jane Novak, the American journalist
and political analyst.”
“Leaders in our region transform into gods,” he wrote. “They even come to
believe in their fake holiness, which we aim to shatter, as they know they are
humans just like us. Democracy and freedom are not granted by a leader of a
regime. It is a worldwide human achievement of all the free people on earth.”
Moved by the letter, Ms. Novak started her first petition campaign on Mr.
Khaiwani’s behalf. Through translators, the two began corresponding.
“He’s just such a nice guy,” Ms. Novak said. “He really believes in
democracy, and he’s paying the price for it.”
It was months after their first letters before Ms. Novak could bring herself
to tell Mr. Khaiwani that she was not, in fact, a journalist and political
analyst, but a homemaker blogging on a laptop at home. “I didn’t want to tell
you before, because I didn’t want you to lose hope,” she wrote.
Mr. Khaiwani wrote back to say that the news made him even prouder of her and
her work.

Fjordman, over at Brussels Journal, is attempting, yet again, to reason with the the unreasoned. It's a waste of his extraordinary talent, IMAO.
As I have repeatedly lamented, this division of the right and, in effect, the clubbing of the transatlantic counter jihad movment plays right into the hands of the ....... jihad. It is like arguing over the place mats on the Titanic dining tables, as the
water is washing over the decks. I just don't get it but have stopped trying to understand the motive. It's plain wrong.
Fjordman's account of events in Europe is a bloody mess. The Euro lefties have a death/obliteration wish.
The trouble with Europe trying to defend the political and religious
and demographic invasion by Islam is there is nobody left in the house to
defend the house, they have all become their enemy.
There is no one else left to defend Europe except the
nationalistic groups. Fjordman shows that in associating with those whom he believes
to be moderates, Charles is consorting with the devil. I have seen the enemy, it aint us.
It's one thing to pose as the great
conservative fighting the pure & good fight against
"fascist" elements in the Euro-nationalistic movements, but consorting with
marxists, leftist and outright feminazis is hardly pure.
To the obvious point, that absent the nationalists, there is no one to defend Europe. Absent a defense & a fight, Europe is swept away in the encroaching tide of Islam.
I've written about the Swedish organization Expo before, but it
seems I have to do so again. As most of my readers know, I have been involved,
along with several others, in a very public debate with Charles Johnson of the
major American "anti-Jihad" blog Little
Green Footballs. If it can indeed be called a debate, I'm not so sure. I can
personally testify that pretty much everybody on "my side" of this issue has
been tired of it for a very long time. Yet recently LGF again publicly attacked
Gates of Vienna and The Brussels Journal, and
Johnson has continued posting negative remarks about the website Atlas
Shrugs.
I
was not mentioned by name, but since I publish essays regularly at GoV and TBJ
and will probably publish occasionally at AS in the future, it is tempting to
treat attacks on these websites as attacks on me personally. If I have been slow
in responding, this is because I am so tired of this nonsense that the mere
thought of getting involved once again almost makes me feel physically ill.
After thinking about it, I have decided I will respond after all. First of all
because it annoys me to see good, honorable and decent individuals being
unfairly demonized in this way, but also because ignoring such attacks, which
was my initial reaction, leaves the impression that you are an easy target for
bullying. I'm not an easy target, and I will thus respond once again, against my
better judgment, to give my side of the story.

The “sock puppets” being the three Canadian Muslim law students whom he says are acting
as spokespersons for Mohammed el-Masry, the complainant in the Star
Chamber case against him and a noted proponent of killing
Israeli civilians. He’s also been known to accuse the media of being
controlled by “the
zhoos,” according to Ezra Levant, which should indicate how abiding his
respect for “human rights” is. The clip’s in three segments: First Steyn alone,
then the Puppets, then in the last third the long-awaited confrontation between
the two, in which the Puppets clarify their position. It’s not that they’re
fascists bent on silencing Steyn’s criticism of Islam; it’s that they’re
socialists, evidently, insofar as they think Maclean’s magazine owes them a
right of reply to his commentary in its pages under penalty of law. It’s the
Fairness Doctrine, in other words, aimed a la the American version at
confiscating private property to promote a viewpoint with which the property
owner doesn’t himself agree.

As my accusers see it, quite a lot. I was struck by something Naseem said to me
on the sidewalk. I'd mentioned that I'd heard her on NPR saying that it was
improper for me to attack "multiculturalism" because multiculturalism was
officially embedded in Canada's constitution. And I said: So what? A free
society shouldn't have an official ideology, but, if it has, I certainly reserve
the right to object to it. If I'd lived in Italy 70 years ago, I would have
objected to their official ideology (Fascism), and I object to Canada's,
notwithstanding its touchy-feelier name. And she looked at me as if I was
bonkers. I feel rather bewildered at meeting graduates of an elite institution
in one of the oldest settled democracies on the planet who seem to think just
because Pierre Trudeau cooked it up it's chiseled in granite. You can only
marvel at what an amazing job he did of wiping a society's collective memory.
What was the most depressing part of the post-game show for me was realizing
that for my accusers the assumption is that every defect in society can be
corrected by government intervention. They said one reason they went to the
"human rights" thought police is because they're worried Rogers might buy, for
example, The Toronto Star and install Ken Whyte, yours truly and the
rest of the Islamophobes. Well, maybe. But look: right now, I'm "excluded" from
The Toronto Star and so's every other conservative. We're "excluded"
from the CBC, which is paid for by the tax dollars of Canadian conservatives.
But so what? Society is not perfectable, and for a government tribunal to order
the Star to run one Steyn column for every Siddiqui column in runs
would only make things worse.
Steyn's killer close quote ,"The shut down of speech, the criminalizing of opinion, should be embarrassing to as old a settled democracy as Canada. I don't have as low an opinion of Canadians as these phony complainants and the Human Rights commission do."

press reports said.

possibility of new tensions with some in the Muslim world.

prominent organization in Libya headed by Muammar Gadaffi's son has
called for the incoming government in Rome not to appoint as a minister
a politician whose views on Islam have angered Muslims in the past.
Angered Muslims ....... we can't have that.

Calderoli served as reforms minister in Berlusconi's last government,
but he resigned under pressure in February 2006 after deadly riots at
an Italian consulate in Libya's second city, Benghazi.
Libyans
who attacked the mission were angry because Calderoli had during a
television program displayed a T-shirt depicting one of 12 cartoons
satirizing Mohammed, the Muslim prophet, that were at the time at the
center of an international furor.

one of the biggest shots in the arm to Canadian conservatives in
general. It’s turned red-meat right-winger Ezra Levant
into a star blogger and a free-speech hero with brand-name recognition
in the United States, turned Steyn’s name into a household word,
created a debate within the Jewish community over its traditionally
doctrinaire support for blanket hate-speech laws (Ezra for CJC
president, anyone?), shone a light on the amateurish shenanigans of
Canada’s human rights commissions, driven a powerful movement for
reform of said commissions, and generally served to marginalize the
pro-censorship lobby to the point that its main defender is now a
disgruntled former journalist who fills his blog with unhinged
conspiracy theories about how everyone who favours free speech is a
racist.
All of which to say: Thank you, CIC. You’ve done a good deed — albeit unintentionally.

Yesterday, we received email s from Joyce and Persia expressing concerns about the lack of 24/7 personal security protection for Dr. Sultan. Note that in Holland, Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders received 24/7 security from his government with the release of his important film, "Fitna". Her safety is the equivalent of what the British government did for author Salman Rushdie when the Ayatollahs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a Fatwa calling for his death with the publication of his book, 'The Satanic Verses". Our government should consider doing the same for Dr. Sultan, an American citizen who is the subject of a death threat from an Islamist Cleric, Sheik al-Qarawadi.

As an American citizen I am appalled by the rage, threats and hateful rhetoric leveled against Dr. Wafa Sultan by Egyptian Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi.
Al-Qaradawi does not have the right to issue religious edicts, or "fatwas" against persons residing in the U.S., who express their opinions in an attempt to uphold the truth. In fact, it was this type of hateful rhetoric, threats and rage that compelled Dr. Sultan to speak out in the first place. As a result of al-Qaradawi's actions to exact revenge and incite hatred against Dr. Sultan, she has now been forced into hiding.
These are extraordinary charges against Dr. Sultan made by al-Qaradawi, who states them in a manner which his fellow jihadists understand perfectly. In fact, we all understand exactly what he is threatening.
Given that al-Qaradawi has justified suicide attacks against innocent civilians and American soldiers in Iraq, it is abundantly clear that he encourages violence and threats of death over civil discourse and free speech.
Law enforcement officials should take this latest threat against Wafa Sultan very seriously indeed.
Yesterday afternoon I posted a link to the LiveLeak website which streams
Geert Wilders new film "Fitna" within the Comcast Community "News and
Current Events" Forum.
My post read as follows:
"Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders film "Fitna the Movie" was released
globally on the web this afternoon. This film is a MUST SEE."
Fitna the Movie (which was an active html link to the LiveLeak website).
Within minutes of that posting, which was made under an anonymous username,
so-called "moderate Muslims" made posts denying that the texts quoted in the
film were from the Qur’an, and had apparently notified Comcast of the
offensive post existence on the forum.
The employees of Comcast promptly and permanently banned my account and
deleted the thread without a trace.
My banning and thread deletion notification stated that Geert Wilders
"Fitna" contained "racial and extremely graphic content." This is virtually
the same grievance cited by a Muslim Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman
against the film as published by Reuters and currently available a couple of
pages deep on the Comcast website. (

Phyllis Chesler opiines, Liveleak is apparently based in the UK. I did not like what they said about "understanding other cultures" in their explanation for why they took it down after being threatened. Viewing the film is the BEST way to "understand" this other culture of hatred.

is a great film and I will tell you why. It is powerful and succinct.
There is no editorial, no opinion. Just Islam. There are the violent
acts of war by Islam and the Koranic verses that call for them. There
is nothing incendiary except for the actual word of the Koran. It pulls
together, for the the misinformed public, what is really happening
around them, why it is happening. And while it is nothing we
haven't seen (MEMRI, PMW, blogs etc.), FITNA (because of its controversial nature) had sufficient publicity to
whet the public's appetite. Other films that have more depth and
give a more complete picture of the long war (ie Obsession) were viewed by only a handful of already
clued in citizens.
The misinformed public, by and large, have been saturated with the fallacious meme about peaceful Muslims when really what we are talking about are non-practicing or secular or lapsed Muslims vs. those that adhere to the basic tenets of Islam. This is a critical distinction that is never made. A pious Muslim is compelled, is required to be a supporter of jihad.
"A religion of peace" but only under a pax Islamica - one world living under Islam (that part is always left out).
I hope and I pray that FITNA is viewed buy millions, billions even of freedom loving peoples the world over so that we can finally begin to develop a strategy that will succeed against an enemy we have willfully failed to recognize or understand. The film is simple and brilliant.

The Hague -Dutch politician Geert Wilders has
released his anti-Qur'an film, Fitna, on the internet. The website
of his Party for Freedom (www.pvv.nl) contains a link to the site where the film, which
lasts approximately 16 minutes, can be seen.
Before it begins,
viewers are warned that they may see shocking images; these include pictures of
the terrorist attacks in New York, Madrid and London. Fitna also contains
fragments of interviews with the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh, translations of
verses from the Qur'an, newspaper headlines about death threats to Ayaan Hirsi
Ali and quotes from sermons delivered by orthodox imams. It also notes that the
number of Muslims living in the Netherlands has risen from 54,000 to 944,000
over the last hundred years.
Towards the end, a hand is shown grabbing a
page of the Qur'an; the image is accompanied by the sound of tearing paper.
Dutch subtitles then explain that the sound was that of a page being torn from a
telephone book. In a written declaration, Mr Wilders declares that it is not up
to him to tear malicious verses out of the Qur'an, but that Muslims themselves
must do that.
1945 saw the triumph of democracy over Nazism and 1989 the
fall of Communism. Mr Wilders believes that that the time has now come for
Islamist ideology to be defeated.

A Dutch judge is due on Friday to hear the petition of a Muslim group seeking an independent review of an anti-Quran film by lawmaker Geert Wilders to see whether it violates hate speech laws.
Showing the attacks on the West on 9/11 is now going to be considered hate speech?
The petition, seen by The Associated Press Thursday at the Hague District Court, says the Dutch Islamic Federation "believes the situation of Muslims in the Netherlands today is comparable with that of our Jewish fellow-citizens in the 1930s."
*SPIT* The twist this time is the "victims" are the ones doing all the killing, beheading, mass murder ....
The federation asked for a fine of $79,000 per day if Wilders airs the film, and a $7,900 fine for each future instance of an "injuring remark."

Meanwhile, a coalition of Jordanian media says they will take Mr
Wilders to court over the film and urged Arab leaders to review ties
with Denmark and the Netherlands.
"We held an urgent meeting Thursday evening and decided to sue
extremist and Zionist deputy Geert Wilders," over the film deemed
offensive to the Koran, Islam's holiest book, coalition spokesman
Zakaria al-Sheikh said.
Sheikh said the coalition of 30 Jordanian independent
newspapers, websites and radios would also initiate a campaign to
boycott Dutch products in addition to launching legal proceedings
against Mr Wilders in Jordan.
He also urged Arab leaders at a weekend summit in Damascus "to
denounce campaigns hostile to Islam and review their ties with
countries like Denmark and the Netherlands where these campaigns were
launched".
A handful of Muslim countries had responded early Friday, with
Iran saying the short movie showed some Westerners were waging a
"vendetta" against Islam, and warning of unspecified repercussions.
Bangladesh also said the film could have "grave consequences",
while a coalition of Jordanian media said it would sue Mr Wilders and
launch a campaign to boycott Dutch products.
The European Union's Slovenian Presidency also attacked the film, saying it served "no other purpose than inflaming hatred."
But Muslim leaders in The Netherlands called at a joint press
conference for their co-religionists in other countries not to
over-react.
"We call on them to follow our strategy and not react with attacks on Dutch embassies or tourists," the head of the Dutch Moroccan community, Mohamed Rabbae, said.
"We feel offended by the link between violence and Islam but we know this guy [and] the best response is a response in a responsible manner."

Radical jihadists are prepared to use violence against individuals to stop them from exercising their free speech rights. In some countries, converting a Muslim to another faith is a crime punishable by death. While Muslim clerics are free to preach and proselytize in the West, some Muslim nations severely restrict or forbid other faiths to do so. In addition, moderate Muslims around the world have been deemed apostates and enemies by radical jihadists.
Radical jihadists believe representative government is un-Islamic, and urge Muslims who live in democracies not to exercise their right to vote. The reason is not hard to understand: When given a choice, most Muslims reject the extreme approach to Islam. This was recently demonstrated in Iraq's Anbar Province, which went from an al-Qaeda stronghold to an area supporting the U.S.-led coalition. This happened because the populace came to intensely dislike the fanatical ways of the radicals, which included cutting off fingers of anyone caught smoking a cigarette, 4 p.m. curfews, beatings and beheadings. There also were forced marriages between foreign-born al Qaeda fighters and local Sunni women.
There may be a direct relationship between the radical jihadists' opposition to democracy and their systematic abuse of women. Women have virtually no rights in this radical world: They must conceal themselves, cannot hold jobs, and have been subjected to honor killings. Would most women in Muslim countries vote for a candidate for public office who supported such oppressive rules?
JERUSALEM - Israeli soldiers on Wednesday arrested the Hamas mastermind of the bloodiest suicide bombing of the Palestinian uprising, an attack that killed 30 people and wounded 143 others during a Passover dinner celebration in 2002, the army said.
Omar Jabar planned the attack and dispatched the suicide bomber to the hotel in the Israeli coastal city of Netanya, the military said. He was arrested early Wednesday in the West Bank, the army said.
The attack spurred the military to launch a broad offensive in which Israel retook control of West Bank cities from the Palestinians.
Prague- The Czech extra-parliamentary nationalist
National Party (NS) has offered its foreign server for the release of the
controversial anti-Islamic film of Dutch ultra-right MP Geert Wilders, the NS
announced on its website today.

has filed a suit against Jan Skacel from the NS for the denial of the
Holocaust
Members of the far-right National Party
(NS) will probably not be punished for their statements made at a meeting in
Lety, south Bohemia, on Saturday, the daily Mlada fronta Dnes writes today.
Political scientist Zdenek Zboril who
has analysed the contents of the NS leaders' speeches in Lety, has arrived at
the conclusion that their statements are unimpeachable, the paper says.
At their commemorative event staged at
the site of the former WWII camp for Romanies in Lety last Saturday NS members
branded Romanies as "dirt" and "Gypsy agitators." Senator Jaromir Stetina has
filed a suit against Jan Skacel from the NS for the denial of the Holocaust
since Skacel said in his speech that "there was no genocide" in Lety, the daily
says.
According to Zboril, Skacel compared the
Lety camp with the concentration camp in Auschwitz and said that there was no
genocide in Lety compared to Auschwitz. In addition, Skacel based his speech on
the historical manual on Lety published by the Academy of Sciences, Zboril
points out.
"Although the meaning of certain word
combinations in the nationalists' speeches are unclear and they can be
interpreted as the expression of hatred towards Romanies it was a mere
presentation of their political views," Mlada fronta Dnes quotes Zboril's
analysis as saying.
"There is nothing in their speeches that
would constitute a crime," an unnamed police officer who is an expert on
extremism told the paper, confirming Zboril's opinion.
He said he agreed with Zboril that NS
members know precisely what kind of provocations and insults they can use to
remain unimpeachable.
"Even if only a single person was sent
from Lety to Auschwitz there was a genocide in the south Bohemian camp," Stetina
told the paper in reaction to Skacel's statement.

blocking web surfers from accessing an anti-Islam site - prompting concerns that
fear of Islamic violence has become so powerful that it even controls WWW
content.
Network Solutions developed the domain name registration system
in 1993 and was the world's only domain name provider until 1999, when the
domain name industry opened up to competition. Today, the company hosts seven
million domain names. The Washington Post reports that Network Solutions is
now, for the first time, blocking access to a site that has not yet put up any
substantial content.
The site in question is owned by a Dutch
politician, Geert Wilders, who is known for his opposition to Muslim immigrants
and the Koran. Wilders has said that he planned to post a short anti-Koran film
on the site, named fitnathemovie.com. Wilders hopes to rally support for
banning the Koran in Holland, explaining that the book urges followers to commit
acts of violence.
A Network Solutions spokeswoman told the Washington
Post that the site was blocked on Saturday night "due to the potential unrest
that could follow if Wilders followed through on his pledge to post his film on
the site." She said the company was still investigating whether the site
violated its "acceptable use policy." The inaccessible site contained,
before it was shut down, only a picture of a gilded Koran along with the text
"Allahu Akhbar" (Allah is Great), and the words "Geert Wilders presents Fitna -
Coming Soon."
Fears of Moslem Violence in the Wake of the
Movie The decision by Network Solutions followed warnings and
threats that the movie could lead to pro-Moslem violence. Earlier this month,
for instance, NATO's secretary general expressed his concern that the Wilders
movie could foment anger and added danger for Western troops in Afghanistan.
Protests were held in Afghanistan against the Wilders film. In addition, Dutch
television stations refused to air the movie.
Possibly even more
telling was the fact that though no "specific threats" had been received by
Network Solutions, the company reminded its employees this week about observing
regular physical safety and security measures at work.
The Post reported
that Fred von Lohmann, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier
Foundation - an organization that aims to champion free speech, privacy,
innovation, and consumer rights in digital and electronic issues - said it was
the first case he'd heard of in which a U.S.-based registrar had preemptively
suspended a domain name for violating its use policy. He admitted, however, that
Network Solutions was within its legal rights in doing so.
Wilders has
said that his movie is a "last warning for the West," and that "if need be, I
will personally distribute DVDs in the Dam [central square in Amsterdam]." He
has also warned of a "tsunami of Islamisation" in Holland, and is under heavy
guard due to Islamic death threats.
Prague- The offer of the Czech nationalist National Party (NS) to place on its foreign server the controversial anti-Islamic film of Dutch ultra-right MP Geert Wilders is an absurd idea of some ignorant persons, Czech Interior Minister Ivan Langer said today.
Jeronym Tejc, head of the opposition Social Democrat (CSSD) security commission, and former interior minister for CSSD Frantisek Bublan also condemned the NS's offer as irresponsible.
The film release on the web would pose a security risk to the Czech Republic's citizens, the politicians said.
"I believe that silly ideas of some idiots will not draw attention. The best way...is to ignore it, because they need exactly a media show and promotion," Langer (senior ruling Civic Democrats, ODS) said.
He
fired the first salvo in 2003 and has been sticking his thumb in
Islamist eyes ever since. Bangladeshi journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib
Choudhury describes himself as a "Muslim Zionist." He is unabashedly
pro-US, pro-Israel, and anti-Islamist. More importantly, he remains all
of that from within the Muslim world, which he refuses to leave. I have
fielded any number of asylum requests for him, and he declined them
all. "Retreat is not in my vocabulary," he says, for he believes that
if he were to leave his country, his credibility would be gone, and
Islamists would claim victory; a satisfaction he refuses to give them.
"Bangladesh is my country," he says. "Let the radicals leave!"

Last March, Congress passed House
Resolution 64, authored by Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) and co-sponsored by Rep. Nita
Lowey (D-NY). The vote was 409-1, Ron Paul being the lone dissenter. I was
present for the debate on the Resolution. After a pantheon of Democratic and
Republican lawmakers offered impassioned speeches on Shoaib's behalf-and not
incidentally in praise of Rep. Kirk -- the Republican and Democratic floor
leaders (Gary Ackerman of New York and John Boozman of Arkansas respectively)
both commented on the bi-partisan nature and strong solidarity of the
afternoon. Boozman called it a "a very bipartisan effort." Ackerman said he
hoped "we might bring this kind of approach and dedication" to all issues before
the Congress.
A really telling incident
occurred not long before the 2006 election when I approached two senators at
about the same time. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) is about as far on the left as
we can find. Then Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) is about as far on the right as
we can find. Both men responded with identical support and public action. I
later suggested to Santorum that it might have been the only time that he and
Durbin agreed on anything.
In fact, I approached about 15
percent of the House and a handful of Senators: Democratic, Republican, left,
right, moderate; you name it. And every one of them reacted with support; every
one of them, that is, except one. Who was the one lawmaker that took a pass on
saving the life of an imprisoned US ally and opponent of Islamist extremism?
That's right, my own Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
I first met with his staff in
April 2005 in his DC office. Keep in mind this was the same week that Rep. Mark
Kirk (R-IL) spent hours learning about the case and then met well after "working
hours" in a very difficult meeting with the Bangladeshi ambassador and me to
secure Shoaib's release. I brought Obama's staff extensive documentation of the
injustice, as well as other evidence of Shoaib's activities; we spoke for quite
a long time, but they never called back. In fact, they ignored all my
subsequent follow-up contacts. But it was, after all soon after his election;
perhaps early disorganization was to blame.
Yet, I spoke personally
with Obama 13 months later at a general meeting hosted by Obama and Durbin. To
my delight, when my name was mentioned, Durbin responded immediately with praise
and support, saying that it was "an important human rights case," and asked to
see me privately about the matter. I spoke with to both him and Obama, who at
his best moments looked quizzical and confused. While Durbin later sent a
formal protest to the Bangladeshis, Obama never responded; nor again did he or
his staff reply to my subsequent entreaties.
I spoke with Obama one other time
about Shoaib's case, less than six months later. I reminded him or our last
encounter, gave him an update on the case, and asked for his support in one of
any number of ways. He hesitated a moment then held out his hand and said,
"Well, we're sure happy for all the work you are doing." Propriety prevents me
from verbalizing what I was thinking then. I offered to send him more
information, which he asked me to do. And, guess what, I never heard back
despite the reams of evidence I did send.
Barack Obama wants us to think
that he has a special sensitivity to injustice and that his entire life has been
about combating it. Yet, in this one concrete situation he faced, he failed to
act. The fact thatnot one of the dozens of other lawmakers
failed speaks volumes. The fact that support was never contingent on ideology
speaks volumes. I often wondered if his refusal to act was strategic, ignorant,
or simple cowardice. No matter, the impact on Shoaib Choudhury was the same, as
it would be on any freedom fighter.
When speaking about this, I ask
potential voters this question. If Barack Obama does not have the ability to
stand up against injustice in Bangladesh, where is he going to find the moral
courage to stand up to Iran, North Korea, or China?
The film isn't live yet. When it goes live, it is recommended to download it
to the hard drive immediately. Islamists can be expected to attack the web site
with every means at their disposal, and for sure someone will try to abuse some
obscure law to get it legally banned, too.
Interesting times. Politicians have a duty to protect our civil liberties,
but that seems all but forgotten in the Netherlands. There must be many others
beside Wilders who can be pursuaded into a little risk-taking for this
purpose.
Update:
Word is that the movie will be released on the Internet only after
being broadcast in the Netherlands. The government is causing trouble over this,
calling Wilders in for a "friendly talk" to talk him out of publishing his
movie, and themselves out of having to protect freedom of expression.
Other EU countries are considering reactions towards Netherlands for this act
of attempted censorship, which is an affront violation of fundamental European
principles.
