It takes a special kind of retardation

Palestinian forces enter Jordan for training under U.S. program
he first battalion of Palestinian security forces crossed into Jordan on
Thursday to begin training under a U.S. program
after nearly a year-long delay.

The first battalion of nearly 700 U.S.-screened recruits to serve in an overhauled National Security Force crossed the Israeli-controlled Allenby Bridge, in the West Bank, into Jordan for what officials called "law and order" training.

The eventual plan is for a nearly 50,000-member gendarmerie in the West Bank.

Bush, Stay out of it

Jewish_scroll

Scroll contents here (hat tip Shirley)

It ain't your country, stay out of it. Better yet, read your bible. It seems to me the purpose of this visit is to shore up support for the traitorous Olmert. Bush was invited to but won't speak to the knesset. Seems to me he is sending a very definite message to the people of Israel.

Bush Snubs Netanyahu on Israel Visit

U.S. President George W. Bush is refusing to meet with Likud Opposition Leader Binyamin Netanyahu, or anyone else opposed to the Annapolis process.

Bush is now a Bibishitter

UPDATE:  Caroline Glick's advice to Bush:Bush's historical parallels

In his last year in office, Bush's central challenge is to clarify what he himself has allowed to become muddled about the nature of the current generational struggle. Unfortunately, though his commitment to Palestinian statehood, and his refusal to assert his own foreign policy against the wishes of a hostile bureaucracy, he calls to mind not Truman, but another American president who led his country at the cusp of another formative crisis. Like Bush, James Buchanan - the last president to serve before the Civil War - understood the nature of the gathering storm; yet rather than confront the dangers, he was overwhelmed by them.

Debka Report: Abbas Responsible for Negev Rockets

About a year ago, Aaron Klein of WND reported that many of the rockets fired from Gaza into the Negev were fired by the fatah controlled Al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade under the express orders of "moderate peace partner Mahmoud Abbas. (see Gaza "Rocket Man": Abbas Tells Us What to Do)

Today Debkafiles is confirming that report confirming that up to 1/3 of Gaza missiles are under Abbas' orders..now THAT is an impediment to peace.

Photo Essay: IDF Inside Hidden Shechem Rocket and Bomb Labs

by Ezra HaLevi, Israel National News

(IsraelNN.com) A four-day counter-terror operation in Shechem (Nablus) has come to a close. Explosives and rocket labs were located and destroyed in the Shomron city.

An IDF statement reported that a weapons cache and an explosives laboratory, as well as various types of weaponry, were found and confiscated with help from the Shabak (General Security Service).

An IDF commander plans the entry points he and his soldiers will take into the narrow, winding alleys of Shechem's Casbah.
IDF soldiers are briefed on the mission and the intelligence information made available by the Shabak (GSS).

“Shechem contains some of the most advanced and dangerous terrorist infrastructures,” an IDF official told reporters. “The highest amount of terrorist attacks from Judea and Samaria originate from the Shechem region.”

The weapons cache contained materials for rocket manufacturing, explosive substances and military equipment.

Intelligence information alerts the soldiers to the fact that this bedroom is not what it seems.
Beneath the beds is a hidden entrance to a cellar.
The soldiers enter the hidden room carefully, unsure of what awaits.
A cache of weapons is found hidden.

The bomb laboratory that was discovered contained materials and chemicals used in manufacturing explosives, gunpowder, metal pellets for use as shrapnel to maximize casualties, electric cables and other materials for preparing working bombs.

In another private residence, a ready-to-use bomb-belt was discovered, along with ammunition for grenade launchers and assault rifles.

A similar hidden room in another home holds ready-to-use suicide-bomb vests.
A seemingly abandoned room below a private home is actually a rocket-manufacturing factory.

The rockets are being manufactured with the hope of placing central Israel and Ben Gurion airport within range.
The rockets and explosive materials are handed over to IDF sappers, who destroy them.

All of the weaponry uncovered was detonated in a controlled environment by IDF sappers. In addition, twenty-three wanted terrorists were arrested during the Shechem operation.

In two separate incidents, armed PA Arabs opened fire and hurled improvised hand grenades at IDF forces. In both incidents no injuries or damage were reported.

“The IDF is operating in order to protect the lives and ensure the security of Israeli citizens,” said a dispatch from the IDF Spokesman. “We will continue to operate against terrorist infrastructure in the Judea and Samaria region.”

Jewish Hikers' killers Were Fatah

Bush and Olmert's partner in their peace conspiracy are murdering Jews. PEACE IN OUR TIME, I TELL YA!'\The killers were from Fatah, and one was Palestinian police.

'Hikers' killers were from Fatah' Jerusalem Post hat tip Rut

The terrorists who gunned down two off-duty soldiers hiking near Hebron on Friday are both Palestinian Authority workers, and one of them is even a member of the official PA security forces, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Service) revealed Tuesday night.Murdered

Since the attack on Friday, the PA has claimed that the murderers of David Rubin and Ahikam Amihai were unaffiliated terrorists. On Sunday, The Jerusalem Post reported that at least two of them were Fatah operatives.

According to details of the attack released Tuesday, the gunmen - Ali Dandis, 24, and Amar Taha, 26, both residents of Hebron - surrendered on the day of the attack to the Palestinian security forces in Hebron out of fear that they would be caught by the IDF. They also handed over the soldiers' weapons.

Dandis, a Fatah operative, worked as a clerk at the Sharia courts in the city, and Taha was a member of the PA National Security Force.

US aims to up Palestinian economic aid to 400 mln dollars: Rice

The United States plans to boost its economic development aid to the Palestinians in this year's budget to around 400 million dollars, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday.

Banner week for the Pali Arab coffers: Pali Blackmail: Demand 5.5 Billion More

And if that were't enough, the Palestinian "authority" demanded the release of Pali Arab terrorists.

In light of the publication on Sunday that the terrorists who murdered Shavei Shomron resident Ido Zoldan, 29, last week are members of the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority security forces, the Independent Media Review & Analysis (IMRA) organization has distributed an interview it conducted on November 27, 2007, with Saleh Nazal, Director of the PA Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs. In the brief interview, Nazal clarified, in English, that all Arabs who commit anti-Jewish acts of terrorism, even during the period of PA-Israel negotiations following the Annapolis Summit, must be released from jail before an any agreement is signed.

Erekat: We won't accept Jewish Israel J Post hat tip wolf

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat on Monday rejected Israel's demand that the Palestinians acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state.

"There is no country in the world where religious and national identities are intertwined," Erekat told Radio Palestine.

Say what? NO?   Just every Islamic country. SHARIA is Islamic law. They lie like we breathe.

Additionally, Erekat said, when agreements are signed, the Palestinians would demand that Israel make a commitment in writing to releasing all Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.

Of course, who wouldn't spring assassins and killers so that they can complete their mission to achieve 72 raisins.

Rice again calls Hamas 'resistance' movement 4th time in recent months
Condi avoids terrorist label in unscripted remarks

Aaron Klein JERUSALEM – U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has again referred to Hamas as a "resistance" movement during a meeting with reporters from the Dallas Morning News, WND has learned.

Dhimmi. Real dhimmi.

Rice's remarks, transcribed in full on the State Department website, mark at least the fourth time in recent months America's top diplomat has used that terminology for Hamas during unscripted remarks with reporters.

Meeting with his paper's editorial board Friday, a Dallas reporter asked Rice whether supporting democracy in the Middle East was really in U.S. interests, citing Palestinian elections last year which Hamas dominated.

Rice replied: " ... And what you've at least got now in Palestine and what you've at least got in Iraq now is contestation between healthy political forces and more radical forces.

"Hamas loved it when it could run the streets, faces covered, toting a few guns, and no responsibility for what happened to the Palestinian people. They were the great resistance force, and their only purpose in life was to threaten Israel."

Rick Richman nails in the New York Sun (hat tip Ed Lasky);

What Most Palestinians Believe

Speaking earlier this month at the Saban Forum in Jerusalem, Secretary of State Rice expressed her fear that if "Palestinian reformers" could not "deliver on the hope of an independent state," the "moderate center could collapse forever." She spoke about the need to take "great chances for the sake of peace" in light of "the opportunity that now exists."

"Most Palestinians," Ms. Rice said, "believe that Israel will always be their neighbor and most believe that no Palestinian state will ever be born through violence." It is unlikely that there have been any Palestinian public opinion polls asking the question, "Do you believe Israel will always be your neighbor?" or "Do you believe a Palestinian state will ever be born through violence?"

But there have been several public opinion polls over the last few months asking other questions. The answers cast doubt on whether there is in fact a "moderate center" or whether it would be satisfied with an "independent state" — or, for that matter, whether Fatah and its leaders constitute "Palestinian reformers."

In a joint Palestinian-Israeli public opinion poll in June, the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research and the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace found that only 60% of Palestinians agreed that, after reaching a permanent agreement on all issues of the conflict, there should be recognition of Israel as the state for the Jewish people.

UPDATE: DEBKAfile Exclusive: Israeli leaders dismayed to learn Washington is secretly lifting its boycott of Syria. Palestinians want more concessions too

Although the US promised Israel that its renewed contacts with Syria would be confined to the Lebanon controversy, DEBKAfile’s sources report that a Washington-Damascus rapprochement is in full flight. The US ambassador will soon return to Damascus and Syrian officials are made warmly welcome in the US capital these days.

The rumors circulating Monday, Nov. 12, asserting that Israel’s defense minister Ehud Barak was pushing prime minister Ehud Olmert hard to enter into peace talks with Syria were put about by Olmert’s own office. The PM is weaving and feinting to avoid admitting that he was manipulated by Washington into attending the Annapolis peace conference alongside Syria, in breach of the American promise to Jerusalem.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has gone so far as to offer the Syrian delegate the conference floor to press his case for Israel to return the Golan which Syria lost in the 1967 War. The Golan issue will even be incorporated in the closing document.

Have mercy on us.

Pali leader:"Muslims are masters of the world, its leaders and teachers"

Kingbushswisdomx
Can someone forward this post about Bush's partner in "peace" to the President and State department Arabist (or as Hamas like to call her "the Black Snake") Condarasha. Billions in aid and munitions to those that are determined to conquer us. WTF?

Abbas appointee: "Muslims are masters of the world, its leaders and teachers, even if the West rejects this."  Palestinian Media Watch

They are masters alright. Masters of blood lust, murder, subjugation and the murder of the human heart.

by Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook

One of the defining principles of Hamas and the Islamic Brotherhood is their insistence that the only truth is Islam and that the world is destined to be enlightened only when ruled by Islam. A similar Islamic supremacist ideology was expressed recently in an article by a Palestinian Authority religious leader who was appointed last year by Mahmoud Abbas as member of the Supreme Fatwa Council: "Muslims are masters of the world, its leaders and teachers, even if the West rejects this."

"The Muslims and their societies are more advanced and more sublime than the West and its societies… are more perfect in value system and humanity. The fact that there are those who believe that these are Western values – it is a delusion and false, since the Muslims are masters of the world, its leaders and teachers, even if the West rejects this."

Kamikaze=Jihadi

Jeff says this, "Hamas is well entrenched in Judea/Samaria and is growing stronger by the day in this region. Fatah, the weak sister, is on her last legs. If Bush, Olmert, Livni, Peres and Rice are successful, they will create a Gaza like community in Judea and Samaria - with Jerusalem as a split Capital between Israel and Nazi Palestine. Does this sound like Kosovo?.......with, perhaps much worse implications? Israel is the modern day Czechoslovakia. As for ANSA, the Italian news service, they are a typical pusillanimous outfit."

Hamas: We have 400 jihad martyrdom attackers ready

"Kamikaze," says the ANSA headline. "We have 400 Kamikaze Ready, Hamas Warns." Really? Kamikaze? _•—? Hamas has 400 men ready to die for the Japanese Empire? 400 men ready to kill themselves and others for the divine emperor?
ANSA, an Italian news service, uses -- three times -- a word out of another conflict and another aid, probably so as to avoid having to refer to these attackers by any term that is remotely Islamic. They'd rather pretend it's 1943 and Gaza is an outpost of Imperial Nippon than say anything about jihad martyrdom, or the blessing promised to those who "kill and are killed for Allah" in Qur'an 9:111.
"Gaza: We Have 400 Kamikaze Ready, Hamas Warrns," from ANSAmed (thanks to Insubria):

(ANSAmed) - GAZA, SEPTEMBER 28 - If Israel decided to return to occupy the Gaza Strip, it would find 400 kamikaze in expectation ready to die for their cause, and 50,000 combatants: Hamas member Nizar Rayan issued the threat to Arab journalists today. Rayan said that "the most surprising thing" is that among the 400 kamikaze ready to self-explode "against the armed tanks of Israel" there are 200 women. Already in the past Hamas had utilised women to commit suicide attacks, but until now there had been no confirmation that others had been trained to act....

BUSH PUSH: Give em a CALIPHSTATE!

“The Caliphate…one nation…one state…one ruler…” From hizb-ut-tahrir  Caliphate_rally

The Islamic Liberation Party recently held mass rallies in Al-Bireh and other cities in the Palestinian Authority. It has no military wing, but, its radical Islamic ideology and global deployment make it a source for the potential recruitment for Islamic terrorist organizations in the PA-administered territories and around the world.  More here

Hizb_ut_tahrir

Islamic Liberation Party (HuT1) rallies in the PA-administered territories and around the world.

1. On August 10 and 11, 2007, the Islamic Liberation Party (Hibz ut-Tahrir in Arabic) held a series of mass rallies in Al-Bireh, Hebron , Tulkarm and Gaza City . The rallies are held annually by the HuT during the first half of August throughout the Arab-Muslim world. 2

2. The largest and most impressive rally in the PA-administered territories was held in Al-Bireh. Chartered buses brought 10,000 people from all over Judea and Samaria and even some Israeli Arabs . During the rally in Tulkarm the HuT announced that it was beginning a youth movement in Judea and Samaria called Ashbal al- Khilafah (“Lion Cubs of the Caliphate”) 3. According to the media, the HuT also held a book fair (possibly also in Al-Bireh) at which the party's ideological material was distributed.

3. The slogan of the rally in Al-Bireh on August 10 was “ The Caliphate is the rising force .” Telephone speeches given by party leaders in several countries (including Turkey and Pakistan ) were relayed by loudspeaker. A recorded speech was also broadcast, given by Ata' Khalil Abu al-Rushtah , the party's leader (“Amir”), currently in Lebanon after having been released from a Jordanian prison. Abu al-Rashta is Jordanian but his family came from Hebron . In 2003, when party leader Abd al-Kadim Zallum died, Abu al-Rashta replaced him. Zallum was also from Hebron and was one of the party's founders.

Caroline Glick calls those hardwired for self denial "fantasists." in her latest must read column. I call them pathetic, dangerous and deadly.

the fantasists ignored completely Osama bin Laden's declarations that his goal is to conquer the world in the name of Islam. They disregarded the political and cultural milieus marked by inexhaustible envy towards the West and the US that gave rise to al-Qaida and its sister organizations. Rather than acknowledge the reality of real war with real enemies, both camps of fantasists argued that instead of slaying these twin dragons, the US should appease them by serving them Israel for lunch.

[...]

A BRIEF look at recent statements by Iran's leaders and its terrorist vassals suffice to show how cut off these views are from reality. Last Saturday, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei said, "America and its followers are stuck in a whirlpool and they sink deeper as time passes. A dangerous future is predicted for them." Wednesday Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signaled that Iran will share its nuclear know-how with others saying, "If nuclear energy is something good, all nations should enjoy it on the basis of law."

In an interview with Britain's Independent, Iraqi Shiite terror boss Muqtada al Sadr admitted that his group trains with Hizbullah. Sadr said, "We have formal links with Hizbullah…. We copy Hizbullah in the way they fight and their tactics, we teach each other and we are getting better through this."

On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of last year's war against Israel, Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah told Iranian television that Hizbullah acts at Teheran's pleasure. "I am a lowly soldier of the Imam Khamenei. Hizbullah youths acted on behalf of the Imam Khomeini… and sent their blessings to the Iranian people," Nasrallah said.

On August 6, Osama Hamdan, Hamas's representative in Lebanon, told al-Kawthar television that Hamas is preparing for war not because expects it Israel to attack, "but because the final goal of the resistance is to wipe this entity [Israel] off the face of the Earth. This goal necessitates the development of the capabilities of the resistance, until this entity is wiped out."

Glick kindly cautions;

FANTASIES ARE alluring. Peddling them can even get you elected. But the majority of Americans who reject fantasy as a basis for making real world decisions should take heed of Israel's example.

That example shows that despite the fantasists' fervent efforts to smother it, reality never goes away. Sooner or later, it mugs you. Sometimes, all it does is pick your pocket. But the longer you ignore it, the more dangerous it becomes.

"Mugs"? I say nukes.

Fatah & Hamas Resume Collaboration

It was all a ruse. But I told you that from the first. Fatah, armed to the teeth with American and  Israeli muntions, never picked up a gun. Francisco Gil-White discussed this very thing on my radio show last night. Just last month a long-wanted terrorist chief, captured by Israeli forces, was trained by the US, served in a senior capacity on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' US-backed security detail, and was a ranking member of a team that received and distributed American arms shipments the past two years. Khaled Shawish, an officer in Abbas' Force 17 presidential guards.

And that jewicidal schmuck Olmert  just forked over  $650 mil to these subhuman killers and released 250 Fatah terrorists  from prison.

Hamas' Hidden Economy

Fatah and Hamas Searching for Ways to Collaborate Again IRIS
Despite the complete Hamas takeover of Gaza and the Fatah suppression of Hamas in Judea and Samaria, including heavy violence and mutual accusations of illegitimacy, the two Palestinian Authority terrorist organizations may be moving towards a renewed cooperation. This, according to IDF analysts, can be seen in the cessation of Fatah activity against Hamas in Judea and Samaria.
Abbas seems to have ceased anti-Hamas efforts in areas still under his control.
[...]
"Despite the brutal process Gaza has gone through," Brig. Gen. Cohen told the Knesset committee, "Hamas aspires to return to a dialogue with regional Arab states, such as Egypt and Syria, as well as with [PA Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas]."

TAQIYA! aka Death to the Jews

War treaty I'd say.  Hudna baby hudna. Time for rearming, enriching, and renumerating the genocidal Islamic jihadis. d'oh.

THE WEST BANK PEACE TREATY Strategy Page hat tip chsw

June 29, 2007: Israel and Fatah are negotiating what amounts to a peace treaty. An informal deal, but perhaps one of the most effective ever worked out between the two antagonists. In return for Fatah really cracking down on Palestinian terrorists[as if - Atlas], Israel would dismantle much of its security system on the West Bank. There are 560 Israeli roadblocks and checkpoints in the West Bank, making it difficult for Palestinians to move around. There are  35 checkpoints controlling access into Israel, and 43 internal checkpoints within the West Bank. The check points require a document check and search before getting past. If there is an alert, many of  the roadblocks will stop and search as well. All this is to make it more difficult for terrorists to organize and carry out attacks inside Israel. So far this has worked. But Israel will only take down the movement restrictions inside the West Bank if they can get convincing assurances that Fatah will crack down on the terrorists, and share information on terrorist activity with Israel. In return for this, Fatah gets foreign aid restored, as well as internal freedom of movement in the West Bank, and fewer Israeli police operations (to capture terrorists). Fatah is desperate, but it's not known if Fatah is competent enough to carry out its half of the bargain. If Fatah cannot contain the terrorists, the foreign aid will continue, but the West Bank lockdown will return. There's more (bring your motion sickness bag.)

KAPO OLmert to Unleash 250 Islamic terrorists on the World

If 250 Fatah terrorists are to be freed, then Olmert ought to be locked up. Seriously.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced that Israel would release 250 Fatah prisoners “without blood on their hands” with a promise that they would not take part in terror activity.
Addressing family members of the Palestinian prisoners, Olmert said, “I understand how much you miss your loved ones. It is just as important to us to bring our boys home as it is for you to bring your boys home. We won’t give up or let go until we get them back.” (Ynetnews)

Abbas is a fookin Terrorist

Read the whole bloody history of this murdering madman in a suit here at ZOA:

Mahmoud Abbas in his own words:

  • On recognizing Israel:” It is not required of Hamas, or of Fatah, or of the Popular Front to recognize Israel” (Al-Arabiya [Dubai] and PA TV, October 3, 2006).
  • Fighting Israel: “We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against Israeli occupation ... Our rifles, all our rifles are aimed at The Occupation” ( Jerusalem Post, January 11, 2007; Independent Media & Review Analysis, January 12, 2007).
  • On Jews: “The sons of Israel are corrupting humanity on earth” ( World Net Daily, January 11, 2007).
  • On Israel: “the Zionist enemy” (Associated Press, January 4, 2005; CNN.com, January 7, 2005).
  • On suicide bombers: “Allah loves the martyr” ( Wall Street Journal, January 5, 2005).
  • On wanted Palestinian terrorists: “heroes fighting for freedom” ( Age [Melbourne], January 3, 2005); ” Israel calls them murderers, we call them strugglers” (Jerusalem Post, December 25, 2004).
  • On Palestinian terrorist leaders Yasser Arafat, Hamas’ Ahmad Yasin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Fathi Shikaki: “martyrs” (Palestinian Media Center , September 9, 2005)
  • On Hamas: “We must unite the Hamas and Fatah blood in the struggle against Israel as we did at the beginning of the intifada. We want a political partnership with Hamas” ( Jerusalem Post, February 5, 2007).
  • On Yasser Arafat: “It is our duty to implement the principles of Yasser Arafat” ( Haaretz, January 3, 2005); “We will continue in the path of the late president until we fulfill all his dreams” (Agence France-Presse, November 11, 2005); “The Palestinian leadership won’t stray from Arafat’s path” (Yediot Ahronot, November 11, 2006)
  • On disarming Palestinian terrorists: a “red line” that must not be crossed (Washington Times, January 3, 2005)/LI>
  • On jailed Palestinian terrorists: “our heroes.” (Israel National News, May 26, 2006).
  • On the so-called ‘right of return’ of Palestinian refugees and their millions of descendants which, if implemented would end Israel as a Jewish state: “The issue of the refugees is non-negotiable” ( Jerusalem Post, January 11, 2007).
  • On the Lebanese terrorist group Hizballah: A source of pride and sets an example for the “Arab resistance” (Jerusalem Post, August 6, 2006).
  • Saddam Hussein: ” Saddam Hussein has entered history as a symbol of Pan-Arab nationalism” (Independent Media Review and Analysis , December 31, 2006).

Mahmoud Abbas’ acts:

  • Holocaust denial: He wrote a PhD thesis and published a book denying the Holocaust.
  • Terrorist group Fatah: He co-founded with arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat the terrorist group Fatah, whose Constitution to this day calls for the destruction of Israel (Article 12) and the use of terrorism against Israelis as an indispensable part of the struggle to achieve that goal (Article 19).
  • Funding terrorism: as senior PLO official, he funded the Munich massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes in 1972.
  • Terror & incitement to violence: He has refused to implement the signed Oslo agreements and the 2003 Roadmap peace plan which requires him to fight, arrest, extradite and jail terrorists and confiscate their weaponry and end the incitement to hatred and murder in the PA-controlled media, mosques, schools and youth camps that feeds it.
  • Terrorists’ plan for more violence: In May 2006, he endorsed the so-called ‘Prisoners’ Plan’, a document produced by jailed Palestinian terrorists, that endorses continued terrorism against Israel, legitimizes the murder of Jews, does not accept Israel’s existence as a Jewish state, abrogates Palestinian obligations under the signed Oslo agreements and the 2003 Roadmap peace plan, and insists on the ‘right of return.’
  • Money for suicide bombers’ families : In December 2005, he approved legislation mandating financial benefits to be paid to families of killed Palestinian terrorists.
  • Mecca Agreement: In March 2007, he formed a unity government with Hamas under the Mecca Agreement that called for more violence, not peace and reconciliation with Israel.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Read it all here.  hat tip Bel

ABBAS IS NO MODERATE

But Mahmoud Abbas is no moderate.

"Have we not learned from the 1990s when Arafat and his PLO cronies, including Abbas, were imposed on the Arab Palestinians under the Oslo Accords?" asked Alastair Gordon, president of Canadian Coalition of Democracies (CCD). "Arafat the 'moderate' immediately broke the terms of the Accords by building a war machine - bringing in arms, indoctrinating hatred and setting up a corrupt, oppressive, tyrannical kleptocracy. But just as treating Arafat as a moderate ensured that no truly moderate leadership could develop, today we are repeating the mistake when we know too well what the outcome will be."

More Proof Fatah-Hamas War Fraud

The IRIS blog covers more deeply the alleged charade I pointed to in my post, "was Fatah ordered to take a dive?" Stranger still is the calls for quick aid to Fatah (more here.) In a dramatic shift, Bush is backing waiving preconditions for the funds.

FATAH-HAMAS WAR WAS A FRAUD IRIS hat tip Dr Jeff

No mainstream news source has reported the clear truth about the Fatah-Hamas 'war'--there wasn't any. Fatah never fought.

It has been common knowledge that journalists in Palestinian areas do not report on stories that gunmen do not want publicized, either because of intimidation or ideological affinity. However, one brave blogger wrote up his interviews with Fatah gunmen who were given orders not to fight at all.

Whether the cause was conspiracy or not, two facts are certain:

1) The enormous resources provided to Fatah to resist the Hamas takeover of Gaza were essentially unused and are now in the hands of Hamas to attack Israel.

2) Enormous resources are now being provided to Fatah to fight Hamas in the West Bank.

We left Gaza yesterday with a Red Cross aid convoy, but I want to post some thoughts on Fatah’s collapse. We spoke with nearly a dozen Fatah fighters and soldiers from the various branches of the security services, all of whom were around in the president’s compound, the intelligence headquarters, the Preventative Security headquarters and even in Khan Younis until the final hours of the battle. We came with a pretty damning indictment of the political and military leadership.

Fatah never fought. Gaza was essentially handed over to Hamas. Soldier after soldier said they felt betrayed and abandoned by their leadership. There was a seemingly willful lack of decision making by the senior most political leadership. Up and down the Gaza Strip from the first moments of fighting, the military leadership disintegrated while the political leadership remained eerily silent.

Ousted Fatah loyalists in Gaza widely suspect a political decision was made early on in Ramallah to surrender the Gaza Strip to Hamas in order to extricate Abbas, Israel and the US from the seeming intractable pickle they were facing as infighting spiraled, living conditions worsened, and the peace process seemed hopelessly stuck. With the Palestinian territories now split, the US, Israel and Abbas suddenly have way forward, without compromising to Hamas.

I don’t mean to sound conspiratorial, and I think the likeliest scenario is that all the parties involved simply accepted what was essentially a fait accompli some time in the course of the fighting and set about finding whatever silver lining could be salvaged.

There are of course a dozen reasons why Fatah was so ineffective. Fatah was unpopular and the vast majority of the security forces were not really Fatah loyalists. They were merely after a steady salary, not some messianic belief in Fatah or the rightness of the Palestinian Authority. They were doing it because it was their job and they hadn’t been paid more than a fraction of their salaries in 18 months. Fatah was also divided into disparate bickering factions.

All that being said, the total surrender of the security forces is striking. Keep reading.

FATAH: Putting Lies to the Myth

The Palestinians are a backward people, indoctrinated toward brutality. They don’t rate a sovereign state or anyone’s help until they civilize themselves...Regardless of whether there really are scattered Palestinian moderates, it is a dangerous fantasy to assume the Palestinian people, as a whole, are ready to be anyone’s peace partner.

We are enabling their hatred when we provide support without insisting that the Palestinian people — not just Abbas and Fatah, but the people — convincingly foreswear revolution, terrorism, violence, ethnic-cleansing, and the goal of eliminating Israel. We are a generation or more, at least, from any hope of such developments. In the meantime, as long as we subsidize the hatred, we shall be buying more of it, while giving the Palestinians no incentive to reform.

Our Terrorists Are Better Than Your Terrorists  Andrew McCartney NRO hat tip Andrew Bostom

Supporting Fatah, the Bush administration makes a deal with the devil.

In the Palestinian civil war, the Bush administration has unabashedly cast its lot with Fatah. The United States, in the midst of its own global war against Islamic radicalism, is promising additional millions in foreign aid for a cabal which maintains its own jihadist wing, and which is so thoroughly corrupt — having pocketed much of the foreign aid billions that poured in over the last two decades — that Palestinians opted for the more transparent Hamas terrorists when given the option.

Fatah is the creation of the late terror master, Yasser Arafat. It is currently led by Abbas, formerly Arafat’s close aid. When last we left Abbas, the administration’s favorite “moderate,” he was laying a wreath at The Great Man’s grave — the Palestinians, by the way, have turned the site into an Arafat shrine, telling us everything we need to know about them.

Abbas proceeded to urge a throng of 50,000 Palestinians to re-aim their guns at the “occupation” (that would be Israel) instead of turning them on each other: “[W]ith the will and determination of its sons, Fatah has and will continue,” he brayed. “We will not give up our principles and we have said that rifles should be directed against the occupation.... We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against Israeli occupation....”

That was less than six months ago — despite administration assertions on Monday that Abbas is “a partner who is committed to peace.” And none of it was a surprise. When Abbas was seeking election in 2005, he declared to a cheering mob in Gaza that Palestinian terrorists being sought by Israel were “heroes fighting for freedom.”

FATAH’S CONSTITUTION
And just what are these Fatah principles that the moderate was referring to at the founder’s tomb? Abbas’s American boosters don’t talk about them much, but Fatah itself is not so bashful. They are spelled out, for all to see, in the Constitution of Fatah (the name, by the way, means “Conquest” … and would anyone want to take a wild guess against whom?).

Here is what we’re getting for millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars:

... We all must sacrifice ourselves, our effort and time; these are the weapons of honest patriots. Don't, therefore, dear brother bring your march to a halt! Proceed in your march, armed with the patriots’ resolution, the true believers’ determination, and the fighters’ patience... Let’s not forget for a while that our enemy is strong, and that the fight is fierceful [sic] and long... Consequently, determination, patience, confidentiality, commitment, and abiding by the revolution’s goals and principles keep our march unremittingly steady and makes [sic] our road to victory much shorter. Proceed, then my brother, forward... to the revolution. Long live Palestine, a free Arab state.

FATEH is a national, revolutionary movement and its membership is top confidential. … The Palestinian struggle is part and parcel of the world-wide struggle against Zionism, colonialism and international imperialism. … The Zionist Movement is racial, colonial and aggressive in ideology, goals, organisation and method. … The Israeli existence in Palestine is a Zionist invasion with a colonial expansive base, and it is a natural ally to colonialism and international imperialism. … Liberating Palestine and protecting its holy places is an Arab, religious and human obligation. … Palestinian National Liberation Movement, “FATEH, is an independent national revolutionary movement representing the revolutionary vanguard of the Palestinian people. … The crowds which participate in the revolution and liberation are the proprietors of the Palestinian land.

[Our “Goals” include:] Complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence. … Establishing an independent democratic state with complete sovereignty on all Palestinian lands, and Jerusalem is its capital city[.]

Read it all, every least shred of evidence.

LIVEBLOGGING: Bush Olmert Press Conf.

Ugh. The denial is astounding.

BUSH: "promote a common vision" "Working on a common strategy....."

uh oh.

BUSH: "Abbas has spoken out for moderation"

What drug is he injecting?

Who's the Palestinian president? (05/15/05)
Yasser Abbas (12/22/05)
The problem with Mahmoud Abbas (01/09/05
Abbas, Terror and Lies (03/04/05)

Abbas Approves Monthly Grant To Families of Suicide Bombers (12/11/05)
Abbas Endorses Hezbollah (08/11/06)
Settling for an Image (06/21/06)

OLMERT  speaking: "Wants to strengthen the moderates"

WHAT MODERATES?

"People of Israel deserve peace and security"

They deserve a Prime Minister who protects and defends the nation's security and sovereignty.

BUSH: "We share a common vision of two states living side by side in peace." "There is a moral reason.........." "Must have two states living side-by-side in peace"

A moral reason? There is no morality in rewarding barbarians Mr. President. They must be crushed not rewarded with A STATE in which to operate.

Not one reporter will ask the hard questions.

BUSH: "THese people have been denied for a long time of leadership that will help them"

THEY ELECTED HAMAS MR PRESIDENT!

BUSH: "Deeply committed to the cause of democracy" "Extremists attack democracies in the Middle East" (ie Lebanon, Iraq etc)

Then why reward the extremists?

Olmert: "Hamas has killed many Palestinians"

So has Fatah, Abu Dana Olmert.

Olmert: "Main vision is to create a Palestinain state. We have to create the groundwork to start negotiations to create a Palestinian state." "Ultimate goal is a Palestinian state"

THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. INCOMPREHENSIBLE.

Olmert: Talking about "Palestinian suffering is unacceptable." "We must end human suffering in Gaza"

What about Jewish suffering you asshat. They elected Hamas!

Olmert blew it man. He blew it last summer when Bush gave him carte blanche to remove Hezb'Allah. He had the American people, the people of Israel behind him. He had two Arab govenments. Bush cannot have any respect for this man. This two state bullshit is Olmert's wish.

BUSH on Iraq: We must have the determinaton, will to bring democracy to the Middle east. this is the greatest challenge of our time." "We cannot allow it to become a sanctuary for terrorrists."

Bush on military action of Iran: "All options are on the table." "I understand the serious threat to the security of Israel .........not only Israel but the Middle East" "We have an obligation to try to solve it diplomatically" "At least we have unanimity so far on the UNSC"

uh really? what about China and Russia?

Mega wrote in the comments,

"WHY is Olmert talking about the needs, aspirations, and concessions to be made to Palestinians? Hamas just took over Gaza. Israel is now basically surrounded on all sides by implacable Jihadists, and if and when the west bank falls, they will be completely surrounded.

Is not a press conference with Bush the right moment to bring to the world's attention things like: Israel being surrounded by jihadists, the rockets falling on their cities like Sderot, the hostages, etc. Isn't that what Olmert should be doing - representing Israel and the Jewish people?

How on earth can we expect anyone else in the world to take Israel and its security needs seriously if the main topic of conversation from the head of Israel is how very, very much he looks forward to a Palestinian state?

Here he is, on TV in front of many millions in a live press conference with President Bush. A golden opportunity to tell or remind the world of what's really going on. And it's all about the sad, helpless Palestinians.

It's morally ill.

CONDI: Hardwired for Self Deception

Fatahserpentinediplox

Unbelievable. Just finished watching KKKondi hold a press conference at State saying she will be resuming all aid to Abbas/Fatah.  She looked forward to the stupidly incompetent Olmert and the bloody Abbas work toward peace. This is a mental illness.

Dr. Jeff wrote me earlier, "Fatah and Hamas will continue to work together to achieve their shared goal of annihilating and destroying Israel and murdering Jews. Despite the recent bloodletting in Gaza and Judea/Samaria, these Islamelites will continue to play the west: ie, they will even feign irrevocable differences in order to consolidate power, finances and arms. Israel and the U.S. are therefore facilitating Israel's demise by dealing with Fatah as if Fatah were to be trusted."

I agree. Nothing short of an all out war will end the proposed genocide of the Jews and their state. Olmert is in DC begging for more aid (here.) This is terrible. Wrong for Israel.

A few months ago, Israel submitted a request to raise the annual sum by 25 percent over 10 years, from $2.4 billion to $3b. If implemented, this would reverse the course initiated by prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu 10 years ago, which gradually reduced annual assistance by 20%, from $3b to $2.4b. Doing so would be a mistake.

Save the country you asshat! He is trading aid for survival. Can you be a kosher pig?

Dr. Jeff adds: This lionization of Fatah and Abbas by the U.S. and Israeli mainstream media is not only mendacious, it is repulsive and repugnant. Fatah is every bit as dangerous and lethal as Hamas regarding Israel's security and well-being. Perhaps, even more so given the fact that the MSM and political elites speak of Fatah and Abbas in glowing terms - effectively negating past and present history.

The term 'moderate' being used to describe Fatah and Abbas is absolute bullshit!

Fatah continues to lie, deceive and mislead. They are experts in the field of taqqiya. They are backed by the world's best PR firms and have created this false image of moderation when in fact they are vicious and brutal murderers and savages. Lest we forget that since the Oslo 'death process' commenced in '93, Fatah and its branches have murdered, maimed and injured more innocent Israelis and Jews than Hamas has. Olmert, Bush and their subservient lackeys need to be taken to task.

THIS IS THE REAL ABBAS -read it and weep.

Palis

Give 'em a state!

UPDATE: Ted Belman says it straight;

Abbas is not worthy of support because

    - he is a holocaust denier
    - he was the architect of the Munich Massacre.
    - he was Arafat’s partner in Terror for 40 years
    - he has never abided by his commitments to end incitement and terror
    - he continues to educate Arab children to hate and kill Jews and seek martyrdom
    - he finances the terror division of Fatah named al Aksa Martyrs Brigade.
    - he has never indicated a willingness to compromise
    - he never provided good government or curtailed terror.

This is the short list.

In Violation of the BUSH DOCTRINE

FM Livni said: "Israel is closely following the situation in the Gaza Strip. The recent pictures from Gaza provide clear testimony to the true nature of Hamas, which certainly is not serving Palestinian interests. Hamas has created a separate reality in Gaza, different from Judea and Samaria, turning Gaza into a trap for the Palestinian people. Israel is waiting to see whether the Palestinian moderates will create a better political reality." Hat tip Josef via MFA

WTF is she smoking? The testimony the pictures from Gaza clearly give is that there is no dealing with savages.  " Palestinian moderates ?"The barbaric catastrophe bears witness to the absence of "moderates." What makes Fatah more attractive than Hamas? That they lost to Hamas? Or that they wear suits? Seriously. Wishing is not a strategy for survival.

World leaders push support for Fatah over Hamas.

Get your facts straight here. Worse yet the  U.S. clearly intends to use Hamas Upheaval To Squeeze Israel for Concessions IRIS blog here;

Despite the many reports that Israel's previous $100 million and arms for Fatah to fight Hamas has ended up in Hamas' hands:

American President George W. Bush will press visiting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert next week to fork over to the Palestinian Authority (PA) hundreds of millions of dollars in tax money to prop up the standing of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Israel collects the money from taxes on Arabs working in Israel and other tariffs.

"We want to get back to the situation where the Palestinians can get something that they've been robbed of too many times, which is peace in their streets, democracy in their government, and the ability to move toward what everybody in the region ought to hope for, which is two nations, sovereign, living peacefully and side by side," White House press secretary Tony Snow told reporters Thursday....

The Hamas coup in Gaza buried the ruins of the dreams of the administration of former American President Bill Clinton for a "New Middle East"," which literally blew up with the outbreak of the Oslo War in 2000.

Atlas correspondent Jeff writes;

You recently met Itamar Marcus during his recent visit to the states.

During that visit, Itamar testified before Congress detailing (by showing footage of Palestinian programing) how the Palestinian media (Fatah/Abbas controlled) indoctrinates Palestinian society incessantly with anti-Semitic, anti-Israeli and anti-American propaganda.

Many members of Congress were apparently flabergastered by the rank, vile nature of the footage. I am very bothered by the fact that the mainstream media, the President and the State Dept. continue to label Abbas and Fatah as moderate.

I am more than bothered. It is suicidal and in complete violation of the Bush Doctrine. Initial formulation: No distinction between terrorists and those who harbor them. Supporting and propping violent Islamic terror regimes is how we got to 9/11 in the first place.

Calling Abbas moderate is like calling Rosie O'Donnell thin.

If I recall correctly, just after the Twin Towers came crashing down on 9/11/01, there was footage aired - by FOX NEWS - of Fatah supporters in Judea/Samaria (West Bank) rejoicing and celebrating. Moreover, these Fatah supporters were handing out candy to children. Palestinians frequently hand out candy to celebrate and commemorate joyous occasions.

For example, candy is distributed following:
- the birth of a child - weddings
- suicide/homicide operations which result in the murder of innocent Israelis and Jews - the murder of American soldiers, etc.

Fatah has a long a bloody track record since its inception in 1964.

It was an egregious mistake, made by the Reagan administration, to prevent Israel from finishing off the PLO and Fatah in 1983 following the PLO defeat in Lebanon. It was a grievious error not assassinate Arafat (IDF snipers had him in their cross-hairs), his lieutenants (including Abbas) and the hierarchy of Fatah when they were holed up in Tripoli.

Following the PLO banishment to Tunis, Arafat and his scum were on the verge of becoming irrelevant. Subsequently, in the late 80's and very early 90's there was a push to resusitate the ailing PLO. First came the Madrid talks ( Peres and Beilin began negotiating illegally with the PLO), then came the Oslo Peace Talks, etc.  After the ill-fated handshake between Rabin and Arafat on 9/13/93), the PLO was recast as the PA. Arafat and his henchmen were then allowed to return from exile in Tunis to Gaza and Judea/Samaria. Terrorism began to rise and innocent Jews and Israelis began to die in droves. The Wye River peace talks followed - this is when Netanyahu turned over Hebron to the savages. Next came the failed Camp David peace talks where Barak offered Arafat and his Nazis 95% of Judea/Samaria and East Jerusalem. The 2nd intifada then began. This was followed by wave after wave of suicide/homicide bombings and maimings. Fatah, Hamas and PIJ worked together to kill Israelis and Jews. Subsequently,  Bush made his famous speech and announced his support for a 'Two State Solution.' He is the first U.S. President to advocate such a position.

Then came the roadmap to hell.

Statistics don't lie. Since the Oslo Death Process commenced in '93, Fatah has murdered and maimed more Israelis than Hamas has.

Yet, because Abbas and Fatah wear expensive suits and usually camoflauge their intentions, they are considered moderate and reasonable. These savages employ some of the finest PR firms in the U.S. and Europe to cultivate a false image.

The U.S. and Israel know the score yet they continue to promote this idiotic and failed notion of negotiating with Palestinian Nazis and ceding land for a false peace.

Keep in mind, we are just talking about Fatah here. To this day, the U.S. is funding and training Fatah fighters (terrorists) - many in the U.S. In addition, Israel is funding and supplying arms to these same Fatah terrorists.

What gives?

The only conclusion that I come to is that Israel is being sacrificed by the evil whores in D.C. and the evil whores in the Knesset.

No one wants to make the tough decsions. They must be killed. The entire culture of death must be crushed. Destroyed. No one will make that call. Instead they delude themselves with the salve of "peace."

UPDATE: Bush met with Jewish Leadership? WHERE THEY JEWICIDALS?

BUSH MET WITH JEWISH LEADERS Washington Post hat tip Jerry

CRAWFORD, Tex., June 16 -- As he prepared for a visit this week from Israel's prime minister, President Bush held an unannounced meeting with the top leadership of the United States' Jewish community to discuss the dramatic events in the Middle East and other foreign policy issues.

Bush meets with smaller groups of Jewish leaders from time to time, but the gathering Thursday was the first time he had met with the entire leadership community, about 50 heads of Jewish advocacy, service and religious organizations of different political orientations

The White House did not disclose the private session on the president's schedule, and officials asked participants to treat Bush's remarks as off the record. Present for the session were the president's most senior aides, including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, national security adviser Stephen J. Hadley, White House Chief of Staff Joshua B. Bolten and political adviser Karl Rove.

There's more.

UPDATE:

CUANAS sent me valuable researched links to Fatah's bloody past and intentions. These are bloodlusty killers with no capacity for humanity, peace or negotiation. The evil of Islamic jihad  must be eliminated and with it Fatah, Hamas, Hezb'Allah, Islamic Jihad, Al Aksa, Fatah al-Islam, and Iran of course. CUANAS writes;

Your article about Fatah being birthed out of the al-Husseini movement is important.

Yasser Arafat's original name was also al-Husseini, and many people believe that he was the Grand Mufti's nephew. Go here.

In fact, there, Time Magazine directly said it; Arafat was related to the Grand Mufti.

Additionally, Arafat said that the Grand Mufti was his inspiration here.

And finally, the PLO Charter, which is listed on the official website of the United Nations, clearly calls for the destruction of Israel here

Here are some key phrases:

Bush & Co: Empowering our Executioners

Abbas  is the great white hope now? Eretz sent me a series of articles on Abbas that he  collected a couple years ago here. Propping up this terrorist alleging he is less savage than the other terrorist is morally ill. It is sick. Bush and co. ought to take heed. They are empowering their executioners.

In any compromise between good and evil, evil profits. What better example of this truism Islamism overrunning the planet. We should have crushed the terrorists 20 tears ago after Munich, after the Achille Lauro, after the first airplane hijacking, instead we made them rock stars. Sick.

Dr Jeff writes;

This is what happens when you trust Fatah Nationalist Nazis (many of whom are Islamist as well) with valuable intelligence assets. This is what happens when you share privy information with corrupt, predominantly Muslim murderers. This is what happens when you ignore reality and history.

The birth of Fatah wass directly linked to Haj Amin al Husseini's version of Palestinian nationalism. Those who are honest with themselves know that Hamas and Fatah, while differing in tactics and timetables, aspire to achieve the same goal - THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL AND THE ANNIHILATION OF JEWS! This coming week, Bush and Olmert - and their obsequeous, subservient, lackeys - will preach the following mantra:  We  pledge our support to President Abbas and the Palestinian People. We cannot let the terrorists win.

Just yesterday,  President Bush, actually stated (regarding the Hamas purge of Fatah in Gaza), "...we cannot let the terrorists win..." so why hand the the keys to the kingdom? That is evil.

The Israelis who preach the same or similar mantra are evil as well. THE TRUTH ABOUT FATAH AND ABBAS MUST BE TOLD!

DEBKAfile Exclusive: Hamas – and its Syrian and Iranian sponsors - capture priceless Palestinian Authority intelligence archives in Gaza putsch

The Fatah-led general intelligence and security services caved in too fast to shred, wipe or burn documents, computer disks and archives. The entire collection fell into Hamas’ hands when they seized Palestinian Preventive Intelligence HQ at Tel Awa (henceforth Tel al-Islam) and the Palestinian General Intelligence center near Gaza port.

DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources say: Never before has a bonanza of Western intelligence secrets on this scale ever reached an implacably hostile Islamist terrorist gang. The US, British and Israeli intelligence services may have suffered their greatest debacle in the war on Islamist terror. It will take them many years to recover.

Hamas has taken possession of hundreds of thousands of documents cataloguing the clandestine operations of Western intelligence services in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the oil emirates. It is now the owner of complete archives of Palestinian undercover links with foreign intelligence services going back decades, with names of spies, political collaborators and double agents. The documentation covers the secret ties Palestinian intelligence maintained from the 1970s, when Yasser Arafat was based in Lebanon, with the Americans, the British, the French, the Israelis and many others.

Most intelligence experts say Israel should have bombed the two buildings and destroyed their contents rather than letting them fall into the hands of an organization and country dedicated to its eclipse. For Hamas, this booty is priceless – and not only as the repository of bombs for planting under Mahmoud Abbas and his cohorts. The Palestinian group’s Syrian and Iranian sponsors will pay a king’s ransom for this unique collection of explosive secrets hidden by many a Western intelligence agency and government.

Damascus and Tehran will be hugely empowered with the means to stay a jump ahead of American moves in the region and tools to sabotage US policies at any time. They will have a store of national secrets and compromising information to hold over the heads of Western leaders and officials, lists of undercover agents, and records of covert operations carried out by the Israeli Mossad, Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, CIA, British MI6 and other Western agencies. Iran, Syria and Hamas will know the names of politicians, including Israelis, who worked secretly with Palestinians and their shady deals.

One intelligence expert said that the Gaza hoard left in enemy hands by Abbas and Mohammed Dahlan are the crown jewels compared with the Saddam Hussein’s intelligence archives.

In the Palestinian security service building, Hamas found computer hard disks covering years of undercover activity and a complete set of sophisticated wiretapping and surveillance equipment and sensors which the CIA and MI6 gave Mahmoud Abbas and his forces. It was all in perfect condition ready to switch on. After the Nazi regime was defeated at the end of World War II and Eastern Germany fell in the 1990s, there were officials willing to make a desperate effort to destroy or hide their intelligence treasure. Palestinian intelligence officers did not burn a single page.
