WILDERS WALKS OUT!

Any Atlas readers up to translating into English?

Apparently, the coalition majority leader said in all arrogance that the economical package was not open to any changes/amendments by the opposition. So Wilders said the whole debate was a scam and a farce and theater and that if Wilders wanted to be a Parliamentarian in North Korea he would have accepted. This is not how a democracy is supposed to be. So Wilders walked out with his whole group (which BTW has not happened in 50 years). The public was outraged because of the heavy handed cabinet/coalition measures. So Wilders' party gained strength again.

Geert Wilders' Freedom Party rises to 32 seats

The Freedom Party of populist right-wing leader Geert Wilders has climbed again in the polls, this time to a record of 32 seats in the 150-seat parliament. The Freedom Party is in first place and is now four seats ahead of the Christian Democrats, the largest of the three parties in the governing coalition. Pollster Maurice de Hond attributes the rise in popularity to his departure from a parliamentary debate on Thursday. He walked out of the debate in a huff, describing the debate on the economic crisis as "a sham".

His ratings began to soar in February, when the British government refused to allow him to enter the country. Sixty percent of voters who describe themselves as right-wing say they will vote for Wilders' Freedom Party.

Geert Wilders: Mrs. Speaker of the House, I am not angry, I am mad. I am Mad at the answer that collegue Van Geel just gave on the question of I think it was from Mrs. Halsema because of my first interuption. Mr. Van Geel saad then that there was less to no room to change any millimeter on this goverment piece. In normal Dutch language that means, that we are participating here for "Piet Snot" (as bumps on a log) and the whole congress is standing in their underwear as we cannot change anything anymore so says the chairman of the biggest coalition partner. So, Mrs. Speaker of the House , under these circumstances I am not longer joining this debate. Under these circumstances my fraction (party) will not join any longer. We will only then join again when the whole congress is allowed to be involved in full dignity and has the right to bring in changes. When that is not possible Mrs. Speaker of the House, then it'll be without the PVV and I will publish my speech on the website of my party -www.pvv.nl-, but we are now going to leave this debate. This is a big disgrace.

Mrs Halsema (Groenlinks/Green Left) party: Mrs. Speaker of the House, would I be allowed to ask a question of the order to the PVV fraction but also to the other coalition parties, because I see the PVV making its destiny fully depending on the CDA (Christian Democratic Party), who is indeed totally not interested in the opinions of other parties, and indeed has a long history in that kind of behavior. The question is, if this indeed goes for the PVDA fraction ( Party of Labour) and the Christan Union fraction, that they are also fully not open to consider any proposal from the oppostion parties, on this day?

Mrs. Hamer PVDA: I am in this debate as followed- We together (The government parties CDA, PVDA and CU) have come to an agreement. We are here today to do two things: We are here to defend our agreement. We are here to listen to the opposition, and we will always listen to good proposals and have our opinion on it and we will see if we can do something with it. Before this debate started I was interviewed by Mr. Mingele (a political journalist) and have told him so and also I had a little debate with Mr. Rutte, VVD Chairman ( Party for Freedom and Democracy) about what extras we would be able to do for the young unemployed and therefor I understood Mr. Van Geel indeed different, as he said that he is here mainly to defend the headlines, but not proposals. We are talking here today in the agreement especially if the motion Halsema/Hamer stands (then a few words that are totally without any sense). We however put in our agreement a comment that good proposals will be included in the agreement.

Mr. Slob ( CU): Mrs. Speaker, I think also and have said before already that it is important to listen to each other. We indeed together made changes in the coalition agreement. That was a responsibility of the coalition parties and it would have been strange when the opposition would have been part of that, because they are not the owners of the agreement. There are even a few parties that have not underwritten the agreement, even dismissed it. I do think however when there are good proposals that can be approved and carried by the coalition parties, then the room for adjustment should be there, but it has to fit in the agreement as we as a coalition agreed upon, but that speaks for itself as that is how things are to be done. Thank you.

Femke Halsema (Green Left): I would quick like to ask the PVV one more question, because I think it is extremely dramatic when a Democratic party says that they don't want to be a part anylonger of a political/government debate and I ask Geert Wilders, Mr. Wilders, is he indeed depending his destiny on the behavior of the CDA or will he, after the promises of the PVDA, to be open for input of alternatives of the majorities, or will he indeed look for that with the other parties together?

Geert Wilders: Mrs. Speaker, we will no longer join this fake and hypocritical debate. When the chairman, the chairman of the biggest coalition party, and that is Mr. Van Geel, says that there is no room for any improvement what so ever, and I predict to you Mrs. Halsema, that at the end of this they no single, really no single motion from you or from whoever, after the sayings of Mr. Van Geel, will be accepted in this congress. You are not taking us serious. The bottom line, the bottom line Mr. Van Geel, I am speaking (as Van geel tries to interupt Geert Wilders), I find that now finally some one has to stand up and speak free and straight out: We don't take this, this is unacceptable, that you, as fraction chairman of the CDA puts the Congress off side. I would say....have much fun, we are getting out of Dodge today.......

UK Bishop "Atlas" Ali Shrugs, Resigns

I have blogged on this wonderful courageous Bishop in the UK more than once. And to now hear he is resigning is enormously distressing. His honesty and bravery in speaking to the need to convert Britain's Muslims, Britain's no-go Muslim zones and how radical Islam is filling the "moral vacuum" left by the "decline of Christianity" have resulted in numerous death threats (he has been warned he would not "live long").

Nazir-Ali's parents were converts to Christianity from Islam, and he was born in Karachi, Pakistan. So who better than he to know how scary and difficult it is for Christians in Muslim-majority countries?

Perhaps Nazir-Ali was compelled to resign when the Church of England chose the craven dhimmi Rowan Williams for the position of  Archbishop of Canterbury. Nazir-Ali should not have been passed over for that contemptible fool.

Michael Nazir-Ali steps down as Bishop of Rochester (hat tip fingal)

The Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali has announced his decision to step down as the Bishop of Rochester, one of the most senior positions in the Church of England.

Although Dr Nazir-Ali has been in charge of the Rochester diocese for nearly 15 years, the decision to quit - which will see him leave his post later this year - has come as a surprise.

The bishop is aged only 59 and potentially could have stayed in post for another decade. *

He was a leading contender to succeed George Carey as Archbishop of Canterbury, but has become increasingly outspoken at the direction of the Church since Dr Rowan Williams’s appointment.

A spokesman for the bishop said that he wants to turn his attention to working with the persecuted church.

"Bishop Michael is hoping to work with a number of church leaders from areas where the church is under pressure, particularly in minority situations, who have asked him to assist them with education and training for their particular situation," he said.

Dr Nazir-Ali, who became the Church’s first Asian bishop when he was appointed to Rochester in 1994, has taken a strong stand against the rise of Islam in Britian.

He warned last year that parts of the country have been turned into "no-go" areas for non-Muslims and challenged Dr Williams’s claim that the introduction of sharia law is unavoidable.

As a result of his warning, the bishop received death threats saying he would not "live long" and would be "sorted out" if he continued to criticise Islam.

Dr Williams paid tribute to his contribution to the Church of England.

"Bishop Michael’s decision to undertake this new and very challenging ministry will leave a real gap in the ranks of English bishops," he said

Wow. FOX wakes up to the biggest invasion of an enemy in the history of man without a fight. The report is soft and a little stupid, but they do touch on the hot button issues, to their credit. No other big media is doing this. Watch the video. The Mayor of Molenbeek, Brussels is a complete dhimmi in delusional denial.
Just this past weekend, according to Depatrick, an Atlas reader living in Belgium, an 18 year old boy was stabbed by a Muslim gang in the small town of Rijkevorsel, during Sunday festivities. The boy was stabbed twice, and the second time the knife was stuck in his back, touching his spine. The boy is fighting for his life (link here).  DePatrick distressingly added,
"In the name of Allah DO ANYTHING THESE DAYS to destabilize our society. They make themselves outlaws for it. Those gangs go to a local town, do their thing and then disappear in the anonymity of the city again. Here the police was alert and could take in 4 of them. Because of the frequency that it happens, this really look like the very first signs of triggering sort of civil war; that we can expect any moment here".

Politicians Fret as Muslim Population Swells in Europe Amid Little Integration FOX News hat tip Joseph

BRUSSELS, Belgium —  A clash of civilizations may be taking place on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, but it's also happening a lot more quietly in European cities.

Old Europe's population is dwindling even as immigration and high birth rates among Muslim groups are swelling in cities all over the continent.

And in Belgium, it is no different.

Filip Dewinter, a leader of the far-right separatist party Vlaams Belang, predicts there will eventually be a kind of civil war when the longtime residents of Brussels — the nation's capital and administrative seat of the European Union — realize their city is about to be taken over by Muslim immigrants.

Although there are no official statistics on how many Muslims live in Brussels, it is believed they make up about 25 percent of the city’s 1 million urban residents. Dewinter, who opposes immigration and has called Islamophobia a "duty," claims three of the 19 sections of Brussels, each with its own mayor, now have Muslim majorities.

"In those neighborhoods it's not our government that's in power," he said, "but the Muslim authorities — the mosques, the imams — who are in charge."

FOX News visited one of those neighborhoods, called Molenbeek, which looks more like North Africa than the heart of Europe.

For some Belgians, that's not a problem. The mayor of Molenbeek, Socialist Philippe Moureaux, has worked hard to help Muslims try to integrate over the past decade and a half.

Moureaux believes multiculturalism is a good thing. He says even those who disagree with him should get used to life as it is in Brussels today: "Be realistic. They're here. They're relatively numerous and they're growing."

Many Moroccans have been in Belgium for decades and are now citizens, as are their children. The imam of one of the main mosques, which thousands of young Moroccans attend each Friday, stressed that Muslim immigrants have starting blending in around Brussels.

During FOX News' brief visit, there were no fiery demonstrations of the kind that have wracked the Netherlands, though the municipality is sometimes considered dangerous to traverse at night.

Yet Molenbeek remains disconcerting. Belgian police assigned three plainclothes officers to watch over a FOX News team shooting street scenes one morning in Molenbeek. When FOX News returned in the afternoon as more people were out and about, the police said it would be safer not to get out of the car. It wasn't even dark yet.

Yes, integration is working wonderfully!

Part of that fear stems from particularly nasty street crime, something that can happen in bad neighborhoods in any big European — or American — city. But part of it is due to strong anti-Western sentiment among Belgium's Muslims, which suggests that true integration is still a long way off.

Mayor Moureaux blames the problems on a tiny number of very violent youths who are condemned by everyone, including the Muslim community.

But for Dewinter, integration simply isn't working. He claims the great majority of the Muslims don't want it to work. So instead of being a melting pot, Brussels has become a city that does everything possible to appease Islam, he claims.

"Halal food is served in the schools, not only for Muslim children, but for all the children," said Dewinter, adding that municipal pools in Brussels now have separate hours for men and women to swim.

The anti-immigrant Vlaams Belang, once considered a pariah party, now controls about 24 percent of the Belgian vote, a trend matched in other European countries with burgeoning Muslim populations.

Though the immigration debate has not yet reached the fever pitch it has in the U.S., a real test will come when a major European city has a Muslim majority. The first could be Marseilles, in France, or Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. But don't count out Brussels, the heart and capital of Europe.

A French human rights organization is summoning Geert Wilders to court.  The head of the PVV party is accused of inciting to hatred of Muslims.

"Wilders made statements about French Muslims, about Muslims in Paris and Marseilles, which incite to racial hatred," says lawyer Yassine Bouzrou.  He lodged the complaint on behalf of the organization, which is being studied by the public prosecution.  If Wilders is found guilty, he can be sentenced for one year in prison.

Wilders was not aware of the complaint yesterday evening.  "I hear this for the the first time," he said.  "The wold is becoming small with trials and procedures everywhere: from the Netherlands, Jordan and England to France. Dreadful.  But I'll naturally fight back judicially.  They won't prevail over me."
 
Last week the PVV head signed an official appeal against the UK's refusal to let him into the country.

The French complaint is based on Wilders' speech in New York last September.  "Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods," he said then.  "Many neighbourhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves."

He called the riots in the suburbs in 2005 a "Muslim intifada".  Bouzrou came to the conclusion that the expressions are criminal.  "Wilders says in that speech also that one in three French Muslims supports suicide attacks.  With that he suggests that one in three French Muslims is a potential terrorist.  Where he does he get all of this?  How did he get ot it?  Wilders makes serious accusations which are based on nothing."

Bouzrou made the complaint for the French human rights organization ADDH.  They work together with the Collective against Islamophobia in the fight against Muslim hatred.

"A politician may express his idea.  But Wilders makes dangerous statements about something of which he has no understanding.  These are not political ideas, but insults and prejudices," says the lawyer.  "We already had in France attacks on mosques and against Muslim cemeteries.  The statements by Wilders instigate further extremism against Muslims."

THREE teenage thugs have been caged after subjecting a man to a brutal beating in broad daylight - tackling him to the ground before repeatedly jumping on his head and kicking him.

Sheffield Crown Court was shown shocking CCTV footage of the vicious attack on Craig Rocket, who tried twice to stagger away before stumbling, dazed, to the ground.

Judge John Swanson called the footage "quite horrifying" - and said he had presided over murder cases in which far less violence had been used.

Mr Rocket was on his way home from an afternoon out with friends when trouble erupted outside the bus station in Rotherham town centre as he finished off a cigarette.

A gang of around five or six 'Asian' youths started following him and threatening comments were made.

Mr Rocket became so worried he took out his mobile phone to pretend he was talking to a friend, and eventually ran off from the group in fear.

But Easem Rariq, aged 19, and Moseeb Zabear, 17, chased after him, along with another teenager, Howis Iqbal, also 17.

Rariq rugby-tackled Mr Rocket to ground before Zabear jumped on his head. Iqbal then joined in, repeatedly kicking Mr Rocket to his body.

Judge Swanson said the level of violence Mr Rocket endured was "almost unbelievable".

"I have seen a video of what happened which is quite horrifying," he
told the court. "I have known murder cases where there was considerably less violence used than in this case."

In fact, miraculously, Mr Rocket escaped with only superficial injuries from the attack on September 20 last year.

After several days of fires in Rosengård, the unrest continued on the night before Friday. Now five days have passed since the first case of arson, and the motivation for the fires is unclear. Some youngsters were walking around at night in the quarter. Some throwing of stones and bottles against the police has taken place, and the police have put out several fires in dumpsters. At midnight, a few minutes after police had left the area, a larger fire was set in a dumpster, the fire spreading to a dumpster depot. It took half an hour before firemen could enter to put out the fire, as riot police first had to secure the area.

Police in Malmö claim a recent wave of deliberately set fires in the city’s heavily-immigrant Rosengård neighbourhood constitutes an act of retaliation for recent arrests.

Almost every night this week, emergency services in Malmö have had to contend with young people throwing rocks, bottles, and eggs as crews ventured into Rosengård to put out fires set around the neighbourhood.

Late Thursday night into Friday, several dumpsters and a communal recycling station were set ablaze. Around 40 police officers were called in before firefighters could begin putting out the fire.

Prior to Thursday night’s fires, people have set fire to cars, as well as rubbish bins in stairwells and basements, only to launch attacks on firefighters when they arrive to extinguish the flames.

In addition to firefighters, park and road workers and other contractors have also had rocks thrown at them.

Aronsson attributes the violence in part to the crowded living conditions in the area as well as the social exclusion that results.

“Rosengård is built for 5,400 people. But between 8,000 and 9,000 people live here. Children and young people don’t stay at home but instead are out late into the evenings and sometimes well into the middle of the night,” he said.

In the most troubled section of the area, Herrgården, adult employment [sic; must mean “unemployment” — BB] stands at 86 percent, leaving most of the residents dependent on social welfare payments.

Islamic hate preacher Anjem Choudary probed over call to 'hide terror clues' Daily Mail (hat tip Rut)

Muslim Anjem Choudary could face a police inquiry over calls to his followers to hide evidence from investigators.

Scotland Yard is examining a video of a 90-minute speech by Choudary on an extremist website.

On the tape he apparently says: 'Your house should be clean. There should be nothing at all there which they can come along and then can form some sort of intention.'

He also allegedly urges terror suspects to flee Britain, telling them: 'Don't take your chance in court.'

Choudary, 41, whose supporters recently hurled abuse at soldiers from the Royal Anglian Regiment returning from Afghanistan, is under constant review by MI5 and police. the Metropolitan Police's counter-terrorism command is examining his latest speech.

Police are already believed to be examining whether he broke the law in calling for money to be collected for islamic fighters.

On a website he has allegedly been heard calling on Muslims not to save money for their families but to give it to Mujahideen - holy warriors.

It is an offence under the terrorism Act to raise money for terrorism, whether in this country or overseas.

Last week, the families of soldiers killed by friendly fire in Iraq reacted with fury after Choudary, the right-hand man to cleric of hate Omar Bakri, taunted them over the deaths of their loved ones.

A senior judge today condemned the idea that arson and murder were matters of 'honour' within a Muslim family.

Lord Justice Wall, giving a ruling on a case involving three Muslim children put in the care of white foster parents, said the time had come to 're-think the phrase honour killing'.

He had heard that a mother had set fire to one of her three children and tried to burn down the house where they lived in an attempt to incriminate her sister-in-law.

The sister-in-law 'presented a problem to the family' and had fled the home after being beaten and her first child murdered by her husband, the mother's brother.

The judge said: 'The message from this case, which must be sent out loud and clear, is that this court applies a tolerant and human rights based rule of law: one which... regards parents as equals and the welfare of the child as paramount.

'That is the law of England, and that is the law which applies in this case. Arson, domestic violence and potential revenge likely to result in abduction or death are criminal acts which will be treated as such.'

He said the activities brought to light by the case had 'nothing to do with any concept of honour known to English law'.

'They are acts of simply sordid, criminal behaviour and a refusal to acknowledge them as such.'

In a statement issued with the judgment, it was pointed out that this was the first time that so-called 'honour' conduct within an ethnic minority community had reached the Court of Appeal in a care case.

The 41-year-old father of the children had tried to appeal against a High Court Family Division ruling which had refused him contact with his children and had rejected calls for them to be placed with a Muslim family.

The local authority had acknowledged that the placement with a white, English non-Muslim family was 'culturally and religiously inappropriate'

The mother of the children - a girl aged 11 and boys of nine and five - is 32 and serving a five-year jail sentence for arson.

One of her brothers had contracted a second marriage to a woman in Pakistan who came to England in 2003 pregnant with her first child.

That child was taken to hospital aged 27 months suffering from multiple injuries and died.

It was not known the motivation for the killing but among the injuries on the child were signs of chronic sexual abuse.

Later that year, the mother of the three children alleged her sister-in-law and another had entered her home in burkhas, cut the mother's hands and neck with a knife and poured white spirit on to one of the children's clothing before setting fire to clothing at the bottom of the stairs.

CBNNews.com - MALMO, Sweden -- A few years ago, the London Guardian newspaper called Sweden the most successful society the world has ever known. But Sweden today is being transformed by a large influx of immigrants from the Middle East.

Sweden's third largest city, Malmö, sits just across the water from Copenhagen, Denmark. To visitors, Malmö seems quiet, nice, maybe a little boring; in other words, quintessentially Swedish. But under the surface, Malmö has serious problems.

On Saturday when Israel played Sweden in a Davis cup tennis match in Malmö, an estimated 6,000 Leftists, Arabs, Muslims and anarchists protested the Israeli presence in the city, and hundreds attacked police. Almost no fans were allowed inside to watch the tennis series, because authorities feared disruptions or possible violence against the Israeli team.

Swedish City's Population One-Quarter Muslim

Massive immigration has made Malmö today one quarter Muslim, and stands to transform it into a Muslim majority city within just a few decades. One of the most popular baby names is not Sven, but Mohammed. Pork has been taken off some school menus. Want to learn to drive? You can attend Malmö's own "Jihad Driving School."

But despite Malmö's usually placid appearance, this experiment in multiculturalism has not gone well. In the Rosengaard section of Malmö, a housing project made up primarily of immigrants, fire and emergency workers will no longer enter without police protection.

Unemployment in Rosengaard is reported to be 70 percent. An immigrant-fueled crime wave affects one of every three Malmö families each year. The number of rapes has tripled in 20 years.

But Malmö has been so accommodating toward immigrant Muslims that a local Muslim politician, Adly Abu Hajar, has declared that "The best Islamic state is Sweden!"

Jews Cannot Walk The Streets

Don't ask Malmö's Jews to give the city the same glowing assessment. Jews who dare walk the streets wearing their yarmulkes risk being beaten up.

"It's true. Jews cannot walk the streets of Malmö and show that they're Jews," said Lars Hedegaard.

Hedegaard lives across the water from Malmö in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he was a columnist for one of Denmark's largest newspapers. He says pro-Israel demonstrations in Malmö, like the ones during the fighting in Gaza earlier this year, were met with rocks, bottles and pipe bombs from Arabs and Leftists.

"I was there for demonstration; a pro-Israeli demonstration with about 400 or 500 people," Hedegaard told CBN News.  "Jews and non-Jews, and I came over to cover it. The police allowed, I'd say a hundred Palestinians or Arabs to shout and threaten and throw bombs and rockets at us. A homemade bomb landed about ten yards from me, and went off with a big bang. And now of course, I thought the police were going to jump these guys, get them out of the way. They didn't. They just let them stand there."

Swede Ted Ekeroth helped film the Arab-Left counter-demonstrations. He saw Arabs throwing rocks at a 90-year-old holocaust survivor.

"I filmed the police chief and asked him why are they not reacting to this," Ekeroth said.  "Why are they not doing anything? And he simply answered, 'It's their right according to the Swedish constitution.'  We apparently did not have the same right, because we were forced out of there. Our manifestation for Israel is always peaceful, and theirs is always the quite opposite -- Death, hate and killing of Jews. They come and they shout different slogans," he continued.  "It can be everything from Arabic slogans inciting killing of Jews to in Swedish and Danish, 'Kill the Jews.'

Seven people have been arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of planning a terror attack on an Ikea furniture store and a number of shops near the Ajax stadium in the capital Amsterdam..

The arrests follow a telephone warning to Amsterdam police late on Wednesday evening, police chief Bernard Welten said on Thursday evening. The caller from Brussels said three people were planning an attack using explosive devices in or near a major department store in the southeast of Amsterdam. The aim was to cause as many casualties as possible, the caller said.

Public prosecutor Herman Bolhaar told the press that the caller was a relative of one of the perpetrators of the train bombings in Madrid, five years ago. The six men and one woman who were arrested are between 19 and 64 years of age; all of them are Dutch citizens of Moroccan origin. All of them are charged with preparing an act of terrorism. After these arrests, police say the threat has been eliminated, but the prosecutor added that more people may be arrested. 

In addition to the arrests and a number of house searches in the Dutch capital (picture), police in Belgium carried out house seaches in Brussels.

In the course of Thursday morning, the Ikea store and a number of other shops in the area were evacuated. The shops are on Arena Boulevard, named after Ajax's Arena football stadium which is nearby. The shops and the Heineken Music Hall remained closed all day. It is not clear when they will reopen; the police search for hidden explosives is continuing...

Early Thursday, authorities shut down a major Amsterdam shopping street near the ArenA soccer stadium and sealed off the nearby Ikea store. A concert by the American band "The Killers" was canceled.

District Attorney Herman Bolhaar said six men and one woman, aged 19-64, were arrested in Amsterdam. All are Dutch nationals of Moroccan ancestry.

"As far as we can tell, none involved has a history of terrorist involvement," he said at a news conference, though one suspect is related to "a person who exactly five years ago was involved in the attack in Madrid."

Police Commissioner Bernard Welten said the suspect's relative died shortly after the Madrid attacks "as a result of a suicide action."

A Muslim extremist who works as a baggage handler at Luton Airport had his security pass suspended today after it was revealed he took part in a protest hurling abuse at British troops.

Jalal Ahmed was among the 20-strong group of extremists protesting when the Royal Anglian Regiment returned home from Iraq earlier this week.

During their homecoming parade, he was spotted clutching a banner proclaiming: 'Anglian soldiers: Butchers of Basra'.

After he was revealed to be part of the hate-filled demonstration, his pass allowing him to go airside and work at the airport was revoked.

Ahmed, who is in his twenties and lives in Luton, works on a casual basis for Menzies Aviation, which provides baggage handling at the airport for easyJet and other airlines.

He is believed to have worked there during peak periods over the past two years and would have had access to secure areas of the site.

Denmark: Two Police Officers Wounded

Two police officers are reported to have been attacked and wounded in Nørrebro.

According to initial reports, two police officers have been wounded in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen after a man attacked them with a knife and sword.

The condition of the two officers is not yet clear.

First reports speak of the two officers and an adversary having been wounded, with the adversary having been shot.

The Jagtvej road in Copenhagen has been closed off, and politiken.dk understands that the incident took place on Kronborggade street.

The article doesn’t mention the ethnicity of the assailant, but in addition to harboring numerous Autonomer, Nørrebro is notorious for having an abundance of “cultural enrichment”.

The repellent spectacle of Muslims demonstrating in Luton against the British soldiers returning from Iraq does more than turn our stomach.

It tells us in graphic form that this country has not only utterly failed to combat a threat to itself from within but - astoundingly - turns not against those who threaten it but against those who seek to defend it.

When the returning troops of the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Anglian Regiment paraded through Luton they had to run the gauntlet of Muslim protesters waving placards saying: ‘Anglian soldiers: Butchers of Basra,’ and ‘Anglian soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists.’

Not surprisingly, this enraged the rest of the crowd of decent, patriotic people who had turned out to welcome the troops home. Yet the only arrests made were among those who objected to the Muslim provocation, including a man who shouted something at them.

Talk about getting things back to front! The police turn a blind eye to gross and offensive provocation which clearly poses a threat to public order, while arresting instead those who are thus provoked!

Among the protesters was a group of burka-clad women with their faces wholly concealed except for slits for the eyes. Given the menacing nature of the protest, the fact that their identities were thus concealed was highly relevant.

Yet if anyone objects to any of this,  they are called ‘Islamophobic’. Just think what the reaction would be if, say, a group of Ku Klux Klansmen in full regalia took part in a demonstration by neo-Nazis in a heavily ethnic minority area. Does anyone imagine that such a direct threat to public order would be permitted?

But when it comes to Islamist extremists, it is those who protest at such gross provocation - and, indeed, treachery against their own country - who are arrested as a threat to public order while the extremists are left free to preach their hatred.

Moreover, this demonstration appears to have been organised by an extremist group directly linked to Omar Bakri Mohammed, who now preaches to his followers from Lebanon via videos posted on websites after he was barred from Britain.

A homecoming march by British troops returning from Iraq was today marred by ugly scenes as Muslim anti-war protesters hurled abuse at the parading soldiers.

Around 20 men in Islamic dress yelled 'terrorists' and held placards denouncing the soldiers as 'butchers of Basra' and 'baby killers' as they marched through Luton in Bedfordshire.

Other signs described the 200 men and women from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment as 'Criminals, Murderers Terrorists'.

The atmosphere further deteriorated when locals waving St George's flags turned on the protesting group chanting 'Scum' and 'No surrender to the Taliban' .

Sickening: The protesters had printed out placards, branding the soldiers of the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment 'cowards' and 'killers'

Officers and dog handlers were drafted in to keep the sides apart and five people were arrested for public order offences.

A police spokesman said the arrested men were members of the crowd watching the march, rather than the protesters.

The regiment, known as The Poachers, had just returned from their second sixth-month tour in Iraq within two years.

Luton's Mayor Councillor Lakhbir Singh said: 'The Royal Anglian Regiment was given freedom of the town some years ago and we are proud to welcome them back.'

As the parade finished in St George's Square in front of the Duke of Gloucester, police had to force the protesters into a small area reserved for them at the town's Arndale Shopping Centre.

Superintendent Andy Martin said: 'Bedfordshire Police has been involved in the planning stages of this event from the beginning and were on hand to ensure members of the public who wished to watch it could do so safely while anyone wanting to exercise their right to lawful protest could also be accommodated.

Critics questioned why police had protected the protesters from the angry crowds in Luton rather arresting them immediately for inciting racial hatred.

Tory MP and former infantry commander Patrick Mercer said: 'Police must make a judgement at the time but it is not palatable to me.'

He added: 'It is because of men like The Poachers that these individuals have the freedom to speak about these things. That, clearly, must be a good thing but it doesn't make it any more acceptable.

'I don't believe that our soldiers have misbehaved on operations and it is a sad indictment that otherwise decent people believe this nasty piece of xenophobic rhetoric.'

In almost every respect, the events of the past week in Sweden are a sad moment for Tennis, for sports in general, and certainly for Israel. Never in my career as an athlete have I encountered such hatred and such blend of sports and politic s.

Up until the last moment, the protestors attempted to prompt the cancelation of the David Cup match between Israel and Sweden. After we already landed here, their leader met with Swedish team captain Mats Wilander and asked him to call off the contest....(hat tip Mara)

The demonstration against the tennis game between Israel and Sweden took place today in Malmö. Well, it wasnt just about tennis of course it was about hating everything Israel is, lying through their teeth about what Israel has done and hasn’t done, advocating for Hamas and in general hating Israel.

Around 5000 people showed up; leftwingers and muslims side by side once again. They first started with some speeches at Stortorget (where the arabic mob chased and attacked a peaceful pro-israeli rally a month before). The speakers said the normal jibberish; lies about the Gaza war, lies about “international law” and who breakes it, lies about numbers and totally insane logic in their reasoning. Nothing new about that.

An example: they advocate for Hamas, as usual. Their main and only argument is that Hamas was chosen “democratically” and thus should be accepted and respected. That statement alone is so stupid that you want to cry. Let’s say it was an all-out democratic election. So? What is relevant is who is chosen, what they represent and what they stand for. The germans chose Hitler in 1933 (the democracy level of that election can also be discussed) - did that make Hitler an acceptable and valid choice? Most people would say no. I would. Same case with Hamas. Hamas is an antisemitic organisation, with Israels destruction in its charter and the killing of Jews at its core. But those issues is not to be discussed in Sweden, especially within the left.

No, they are happy with stating “they were elected democratically”. Period. Now comes the funny part - just after they concluded this they immediately attack Israel for electing and boosting Likud and Israel Beteinu. Now, just 15 seconds after the statement about Hamas och “democratically elected” they cannot under any circumstances accept the Israeli election. What a joke.

Anyways, back to the demonstration. On the way to Baltiska Hallen an arab group started chanting some different slogans or verses in arabic. One of those are when they sing about Khaybar; ie when Muhammed attacked a Jewish village, killed, pillaged and evicted the Jews. They sing about this and how Muhammeds army should return and… well, you get the point.

On the way to Baltiska Hallen some demonstrators fired some thing on the police threw paint on buildings but the real riots took place when they arrived at Baltiska Hallen. How that looked can be viewed here and here. As you all can see, the Swedish police did what they are used to: nothing.

They sat in their vehicles while the demonstrators pounded the cars with fire craackers, big stones and when they got on top of the roof and demolished the vehicle. Nice. This is how things are handled here in Sweden, especially in Malmö where the police got their hands tied behind their back by the politicians, and the politicians in turn is left-wing, pro-arab and anti-israel which makes this mess what it is. Im convinced that the police officers “on the ground” hates this policy but the bosses play ball.

Me and my brother was verbally threatened by the demonstrators when the recognized us and they also tried to physically attack us, but when we started to filmed them they reacted like Superman on kryptonite…(more here)

two industries are doing very well indeed:

1. Hate dissemination. The extreme left, the extreme right and the more violent Islamist movements are allied to what the Swedes, with comical euphemism, refer to as “autonomous groups” – a synonym for anarchists, violent saboteurs of civilised society. 2. Transport. A handful of Jews from Israel arrived in Sweden to play tennis in the Davis Cup tournament, and a thousand police officers and several scores of police vehicles had to be transported down to the southern Swedish city of Malmö to protect the Jews. Why? Because this handful of Jewish tennis players also attracted about 6000 violent demonstrators from all over Sweden and northern Europe, particularly nearby Denmark, all of whom required transport to Malmö.

So what were the demonstrations in Malmö about on Saturday 7 March? Well, they certainly weren’t about human rights abuses in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Syria, the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, Fatah’s West Bank, Lebanon, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Russia, Burma.

The demonstrations were against the enormity of allowing a handful of Jews onto Swedish soil to play tennis. Because the police, in particularly unsportsmanlike fashion, erected barricades and refused to let the demonstrators tear the Jewish tennis players limb from limb, the mob turned its attention on the hapless officers. Sitting inside their vehicles, the police were subjected to what could only have been a truly terrifying rampage as fireworks, granite cobblestones, even bicycles, were hurled at them and the rioters started tearing the vehicles apart.

I spoke before and after the tennis match with police officers, civilian security guards, passersby, fans of both the Swedish and the Israeli teams, and representatives of the Israeli team. Everyone expressed their disapproval of the demonstrators’ goals, their methods and the damage they caused to Sweden’s and in particular Malmö’s reputation.

This Davis Cup match contains an important lesson in tolerance. The Israeli player was Amir Hadad, who had teamed with a Pakistani Muslim, Aisam Qureshi, in the 2002 U.S. Open and the 2002 and 2003 Wimbledon tournaments. Those two received the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award for "tolerance through tennis."

The Malmo rioters couldn't have picked a better model for their demonstration of intolerance.

His lawyers say he is the target of an effort to block free speech about radical Islam, and that the only hate speech in the movie comes from the preachers and texts it is documenting.

Denying entry to the UK for a Dutch demagogue is bad politics and precedent

Instead of calling for a common citizenship that makes no distinction on the grounds of race or creed, Mr Wilders demands that the United States and European nations “stop appeasing Islam and start fighting together against the rapidly increasing Islamisation of Europe”.

There is almost nothing on which Mr Wilders cannot be relied upon to be inflammatory, ill advised and illiberal, and this is precisely why the Home Secretary is wrong to deny him entry. Mr Wilders is an elected politician in a member state of the European Union. Freedom of speech, association and travel is part of the political culture of Europe.

For all the obvious hollowness of Mr Wilders' credentials as a defender of free speech, the cause is a good one. It is a common notion that the right to free speech must be held in balance with the requirement to avoid needless offence. That is a mistake. The right to oppose, mock, deride and even insult people's beliefs is essential to a society where bad ideas are superseded by better ones. There is no right to have one's emotional sensibilities protected, for it is no business of government to legislate for people's feelings. Mr Wilders' views are obnoxious, and (not but) his freedom to express them must be defended. It is regrettable that Mr Wilders faces not just ostracism but prosecution in the Netherlands because of his comments about Islam.

The Home Office judges that Mr Wilders' presence in the UK would threaten public order and has banned him from entering the country. Last year Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a Muslim cleric with inflammatory views on Jews and homosexuals, was denied a visa to visit the UK. Mr Wilders' politics are no less inflammatory.

But that is not enough to warrant a ban. Demagogic speech is a test of the liberal political rights on which the culture of a liberal democracy rests. Let Mr Wilders exploit them. His political posturing is so self-evidently preposterous that, if he is permitted to speak freely, he will be arraigned before the best court in the land - the court of public opinion.

Lord Nazir is (in)famous for his claim right after 911 that his phone was tapped but the British government because he was against going into Afghanistan to rid that country of the Taliban and their terror training camps. 

Lord Nazi  strongly backs the jihad and "the right of determination of the people of Kashmir".  Earlier in 2001 the Indian Overseas Congress accused him of trying to incite unrest among British Muslims when he backed a plan for a "peace bus" to publicize the issues behind the conflict in India-administered Kashmir.

Lord Ahmed also called for an investigation into the alleged recruitment of British Muslims to fight in so-called "holy wars". He argued the facts behind such claims had to be established for the "British Muslims' sakes". That illustrated his concern that whole communities were wrongly being blamed for being part of jihad activity. Such fears over damaging labels were displayed too when he led calls for a new law against religious discrimination in 1999. On Saturday there was another demonstration in front of the Parliament building, this time with children in "bloodsoaked" clothes at the front of the march. In spite of several brutal confrontations outside the Israeli embassy Basim Ghozlan, leader of the Islamic Union, urgfed the demonstrators to proceed to the embassy where police were waiting. The children suddenly found themselves sandwiched between police barriers and the surging violent demonstrators pushing from behind. Panic ensued.

Police detained 160 people, most of them young people of Middle Eastern/North African origin. Three kids - 12 to 13 year olds - told how they had been led by a hard core to smash seven MacDonald's restaurants. Then the cry rang out: "To the university to chase Jews."
 
One should think that the papers woud be full of denunciations and shock that Jews are once again fair game in the streets of Oslo. The last time was under the German occupation during World War II. But there is a strange silence. A few innuendos: "We deplore expressions of racism" etc. But no real shakeup. Why not?

One answer: There is no firewall between criticism of Israel and antisemitism and one is afraid of criticizing the Muslims. Protesters clash with police as 100,000 strong London Gaza demo descends into violence

Violent clashes occurred between police and around 20,000 protesters outside the Israeli Embassy in London - with an estimated 100,000 protesters airing their views around the city.

Windows were smashed and policemen were injured - with one officer knocked unconscious in the running battles and two requiring treatment for facial injuries.

The protesters - mainly young men - knocked down barriers threw missiles including eggs, red paint, sticks and shoes as 300 officers in full riot gear tried to maintain the peace.

Yeah Britain, keeping bringing in those Muslims. Good luck with that!

There were reports that some protesters had tried to set fire to police vans.

The violence, which broke out in front of the Israeli Embassy, appeared to be led by a hard-core of masked and hooded youths.

A national demonstration against Israel marched from Speakers' Corner at Hyde Park today to the Israeli embassy in High Street Kensington.

It was estimated there were around 100,000 protesters in total across London, including the Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park and Kensington protests.

A Starbucks coffee shop in the area was stripped of chairs and had its front windows smashed, and protestors also removed fittings from the shop.

Residents living in flats above watched the scenes from their windows, and many people pleaded with police to let them out of the cordon.

At one point, the protesters were seen to throw shoes at mounted police posted in the Notting Hill area.

The march ground to a halt outside the Israeli embassy as tens of thousands of people surged past carrying placards.

A gun was held in the air in a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Barcelona this afternoon.

The man holding the gun had his face covered and was right behind the placard that opened the demonstration.

The motto of the demonstration was “Stop the massacre in Gaza”.

It was supposed to be for peace but, in addition to this man showing a gun, the speeches were all violently anti-Israel and no mention was made about Hamas and Islam.

A great number of Muslims, mostly Maghrebins and Pakistanis, were present.

Fire bomb at home of Jewish family in Antwerp

In the course of the day [Sunday January 4] it became known that in the night from Saturday to Sunday a fire bomb was thrown at a house in Antwerp. The house belongs to a Jewish family. As if by a miracle the fire extinguished itself. The consequences could otherwise have been disastrous because at the time of the attack 12 children were sleeping in the house.

The targeted house is located in the Oedenkovenstraat in Borgerhout, within walking distance of the Turnhoutsebaan. The Turnhoutsebaan was in 2002 the location of serious riots after an AEL [Arabisch Europese Liga, “Arabic European Legue”] demonstration went out of control.

UPDATE: There were rags with fire accelerators stuffed in the letter box and then set on fire. The public prosecutor takes the matter very seriously. Mayor Janssens [SP.A, Socialist Party] said that the Police continue to conduct surveillance to protect the Jewish community.

More details about the attempted arson are not known and/or not yet released. However, it is known that several people from the Jewish community have received serious death threats.

Baron adds:  Vlaams Belang has been vehemently and vigorously standing up for Belgian Jews. It's the only party in Belgium doing so, as far as I know.

Shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night the fire services were called to a fire in the premises of the Jewish congregation at Springpostgränd in Helsingborg. The fire is suspected to be arson, and witnesses saw two people sitting next to the building shortly before a large fire erupted. The fire services were able to extinguish the fire rapidly.

Helsingborg. According to Lennart Nilsson at the rescue services in Helsingborg, it is probably a case of some form of firebomb being thrown in, but the fire was limited to a small part of the premises. It is not clear what damages the fire caused. No one was injured.

Tonight’s fire was the second in these premises in four days. The last fire occurred on the evening of January 2nd.

Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg said on Sunday that a spokesman for the EU presidency, currently held by Prague, had blundered in describing Israel's ground assault in Gaza as "defensive." "It was his personal mistake," he told Czech TV, adding it was a "serious one." On Saturday Jiøí Potužník, Prime Minister Mirek Topolánek's EU presidency spokesman, initially described the Israeli operation as "more defensive than offensive." and told AFP this was the position of the Czech prime minister for the European presidency. The Czech Foreign Ministry later changed tack, while Mr Potužník himself said his words had been misunderstood. The statement on Saturday was denounced by an aide close to the Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, as well by the radical movement Hamas.

I wonder what blackmail they had on the Czech -- they know what it's like to live under the boot.

Europe backs IDF incursion

EU President Czech Republic: Israeli ground incursion defensive, not offensive action Israel News

European Union president, the Czech Republic, said on Saturday an Israeli ground incursion in Gaza was "defensive, not offensive" action.

 

"At the moment, from the perspective of the last days, we understand this step as a defensive, not offensive, action," Czech EU presidency spokesman Jiri Potuznik said.

Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg is leading an EU delegation to the region on Sunday, and Potuznik said the presidency will wait to see the results of that visit.

However, France condemned Israel's move to send ground forces into Gaza.

"France condemns the Israeli ground offensive against Gaza as it condemns the continuation of rocket firing," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"This dangerous military escalation complicates efforts by the international community and in particular the European Union and France, the members of the Quartet and the states in the region to end the fighting, bring immediate aid to civilians and reach a permanent ceasefire," the statement said.

'Luxury of telling the truth'

The Czech Republic already defended Israel's strikes against Hamas last week. At the time, Foreign Minister Schwarzenberg said Israel had the right to defend itself.

"Let us realize one thing: Hamas increased steeply the number of rockets fired at Israel since the ceasefire ended on Dec. 19. That is not acceptable any more," Schwarzenberg told daily Mlada Fronta Dnes in an interview.

It is hard to believe that while Shoah victims and holocaust survivors still walk among us, that we would witness an evil so severe and grotesque that it would make the rhetoric of the Third Reich look mild.
Yes, the Nazis killed millions -- that was the obvious monstrous result of their campaign.
We have not yet witnessed the "final solution" of Islamic jihad -- but there are incontrovertible facts that are blinding. The Nazis hid their crimes. The Nazis pretended to be doing one thing while subversively carrying out its "extermination" of Jews,  gypsies, "undesirables", etc. They engaged in rhetoric and obfuscation.

This time is different. The Muslims are not engaging in rhetoric. They are not pretending. They want the Jews dead and they exult in their wild screams of blood lust. Such joy, such happiness at their Jew hating chants from a joyless people.
The Germans went to war, conquered countries and with the help of those weak governments and people annihilated the Jews. The Holocaust was a German initiative subsequently carried out by every nation the Nazis conquered in Europe, with the exception of Denmark.
It's not a national initiative this time. It's global........... a wave of evil has washed over this earth like a veritable tsunami and it has colored everything.

I expect this barbarity and Jew hatred from the Arab/Islamic world. It's what they do and what they have always done.

But what was the lesson that Europe learned after the holocaust? It was not that evil is bad and that they behaved like monsters, but, as Caroline Glick said in our interview, that " rather that everything was caused by nationalism and therefore what we really need to do is have a European Union that will obviate our need for nationalism so that we can become this transnational gobbletygook and we'll all get together and therefore we won't have another Auschwitz". But really the lesson the Europeans should have been is that "we were evil and we have to be good. Thousands protest in Europe at Gaza offensive Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – Thousands of chanting, banner-waving demonstrators marched in cities across Europe on Saturday to demand a halt to Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip.

Protests were held or scheduled in Britain, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain as the Israeli offensive entered its second week. Kuwaitis also took to the streets, a day after bigger Middle East rallies.

In Paris, police said more than 20,000 demonstrators, many wearing Palestinian keffiyeh headscarves, marched through the city center chanting slogans like "Israel murderer!" and waving banners demanding an end to the air attacks.

Similar protests were planned in some 30 other towns.                        

London police said more than 10,000 people staged a noisy march and rally to urge an end to an Israeli offensive against Hamas militants that has killed at least 435 Palestinians.

In many European cities people waved shoes -- recalling the action of an Iraqi journalist who hurled footwear at U.S. President George W. Bush in Baghdad last month in a symbolic insult.

British demonstrators threw dozens of shoes into the street as they passed the gated entrance to Downing Street, where Prime Minister Gordon Brown lives, and shouted angrily at a line of 40 police officers on guard there.

Paul Mukerji, 42, from Birmingham, acknowledged Israel had security reasons but called its action disproportionate.

A police statement says security guards discovered the swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans on 12 slabs Saturday lunchtime. Authorities ordered the graffiti's swift removal.

The memorial to the Holocaust's 6 million Jewish victims consists of a field of 2,700 gray slabs situated close to the capital's Brandenburg Gate.

It opened to the public in 2005 and is freely accessible around the clock. Similar vandalism has occurred on several previous occasions.

Today [January 1st 2009] Rosengårdscenteret is empty, but yesterday this sales stand was the scene of a violent drama when an armed person suddenly shot and wounded two Israeli salesmen, then escaped in a black Audi. Today, the owner of the Audi turned himself to the police, and after an initial questioning, he was sent to a constitutional questioning, suspected of being the gunman from Rosengårdscentret.

It is a man, residential here in Odense [possibly in the Vollsmose ghetto area], he is in his 20s', 27 years to be exact, a citizen of Denmark but of Middle East origin.

The police refuses to relate if the man is Palestinian, or if the shooting is connected to the current conflict in the Gaza strip.

We are of course aware of what happens around us in the world and in Denmark, but we have no clear motivate for the shooting.

In the Vollsmose quarter of Odense, on the other hand, several are telling openly that the shooting yesterday is directly connected to the conflict in Gaza, and that the shooter indeed is Palestinean.

"I know the man. I know him really well.""The man who shot, I know the person. The one who shot is Palestinean."From this it would seem that the conflict in Gaza has come to Denmark."

He is one of the first in Denmark to show a really, really large, giant, giant, giant ... You should have seen yesterday, a great party we threw because of this. We really, really hope everyone will support him."

"But, I can't explain what he's done in any way, I don't agree with what happened in any way either, but somehow I do understand what happened. One out of several million Palestineans has to react."

In a statement, Danish Muslim Union sharply condemns the shootings Wednesday, and encourages citizens who feel powerless and frustrated over the sight of Israeli destruction and killing in Gaza to express their feelings in legal ways, such as demonstrations.

Israeli victim of the Shooting in Denmark:

“They wanted to kill us. I don't see any other reason. We are the only Jews and Israelis here.

He shot me the first time in the leg, then the second shot was aimed at me, but my friend threw a chair at him; that’s how he got his own shot in the hand, and he kept on shouting all over.”

The episode is the culmination of several months of harassment from a group of young Palestinians, says the Israeli owner of the stand where the two men worked. Among other things, the Israeli who was shot in the arm has been threatened with his life:

“He says: ‘You took my country, I will take your life’. And then he just went out. A bunch of people came shouting at us, yelling at us, cursing us, saying things in Arabic, saying thing like:

“F**k Israel, kill the Jews.”

His brother denies there is a political motive behind it: “It’s all lies. They know it. Everybody knows it. Everyone with a common sense can understand, that in the last few days during the thing in Gaza, if it’s not political, then what is it ?”

When the rescue services arrived at the locale on Springpostgränd in Helsingborg they put out a fire on one side of the building. According to the police who arrived at the scene, some object had been set on fire right outside the building.

The fire was promptly extinguished. Now the police are investigating how the fire began.

Jews in Antwerp afraid after riots by league (AEL]

Many Jews in Antwerp did not go on the street Wednesday after the demonstration from the AEL against the war violence got out of hand.

The demonstraters went on a rampage and destroyed car windows, trams, and buses. There were also fights with the police who had closed off the district.

The demonstration in Antwerp began around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. When the police dispersed the demonstration around an hour later the atmosphere was grave and the rioters turned in the direction of the Jewish district.

Jewish community incensed over Hamas-flag in Brussel

The Jewish community is extremely upset about the presence of Hamas-flags at the demonstration for the stopping of the bombardment of the Gaza Strip in Brussel. This was announced by Michael Freilach, the editor in chief of the monthly magazine Joods Actueel.

According to Freilach the green flag with the white text from Hamas is a symbol of a terrorist organisation and is forbidden in Belgium...

...Various protesters in Brussels carried the well known Hamas-flag. The Jewish community is very shocked that this was permitted.'Hamas is and remains an officially a not permitted organisation of terrorists' said Freilich. There is a great feeling of unease in the Jewish community. It is feared that the situation in Brussel can get out of hand as happened on Wednesday afternoon in Antwerp by a demonstration of the AEL.

The number of people emigrating from the city of Malmø is reaching record levels. Swedes, who a couple of decades ago decided to open the doors to Muslim "refugees" and asylum seekers, are now turned into refugees in their own country and forced to flee their homes. The people abandoning the city mention crime and fear of the safety of their children as the main reason for leaving.

Demonstrator burns policeman's cap as thousands try to storm Israeli embassy in London

An anti-Israel protester snatched a policeman's cap and set it alight during a demonstration in West London last night.

The man paraded the burning hat as thousands of demonstrators tried to reach Israel's embassy in Kensington.

Others protested in Cardiff, Birmingham, Halifax and Sheffield.

In London, some climbed the embassy gates and were restrained by police. Crowds chanted, 'Palestine must be free from the river to the sea.'

NORWAY: Oslo: Anti-Israel protest turns violent

...........organized by various left wing organizations, about 100 protesters tried to break through police barricades in order to reach the Israeli embassy, throwing stones and flaming objects at the police. Police shot back with tear gas. Nine protesters were arrested, including four 16-year old boys.

Video clips of the rioting protesters are available at VG (where you can hear the protesters shouting 'allah akbar') and TV2 Nyhetene.  I tried uploading these clips, but wasn't successful.

Naser Fuad (27), one of the protesters doesn't understand why the police behaved as they did towards him and his friends. One of his friends was arrested. Fuad thinks this friends acted calmly and peacefully.

"I don't understand the aggressive treatment from the police. Against some it's certainly right but not against all," he told Aftenposten.no.

Fuad says that most protesters were acting peacefully, but that some threw stones at the police. He thinks this is 'a natural reaction to what Israel's doing'.

About the demonstration he said that "it's the least we could do to show the world that we have a problem with Israel and Israel's acts."

Several police agents and protesters were injured.

Angry protests have been held outside the Israeli embassy in London, as the UK government urged an "immediate halt to all violence" in Gaza.

Extra police had to be called to the embassy to control the demonstrators.

Scotland Yard estimated that 700 people took part in the protest and said three people were arrested on suspicion of committing public order offences.

Foreign Secretary David Miliband has called for an urgent ceasefire after Israeli airstrikes left hundreds dead.

Mr Miliband said a recent rise in rocket attacks against Israel and the "massive loss of life" from the Israeli bombings made it a "dangerous moment".

Mr Miliband added that the UK supported the prompt delivery of food, fuel and medicine into the Gaza Strip.

More than 1,000 people staged protests in Paris on Sunday against one of Israel's biggest-ever assaults on Palestinian militants, police said, as the French government pushed for a halt to fighting.

Some 1,300 people gathered in northern Paris in the Barbes neighborhood, and 150 gathered near the landmark Arc de Triomphe, a police spokeswoman said. The Barbes neighborhood has a large Arab population.

Priest puts mosque in Nativity scene hat tip Andrew Bostom

Italy's Right-wing Northern League have reacted with fury after it emerged that a Roman Catholic priest added a model mosque to his church's nativity scene.

The League, which has campaigned against the building of new mosques, bitterly attacked Father Prospero Bonzani as an "imbecile".

The miniature mosque, complete with a minaret, was included in the skyline of Bethlehem in the nativity scene at Father Bonzani's Our Lady of Providence church in the northern port of Genova.

The anti-immigration Northern League has called for a referendum to before any more mosques are built. Mario Borghezio, a Northern League MEP, called the priest an "imbecile" and said: "What on earth possessed him to put a mosque in a traditional Christmas nativity scene? I hope that the Church authorities in Genova will investigate this as a matter of urgency.''

He added: "What will this priest do when he says Mass during Ramadan? Ask us to turn towards Mecca? He may as well have included a suicide bomber wearing dynamite."

But Father Bonzani said that his nativity scene was designed to send a message of inter-faith harmony. "I included the mosque as a sign that we should have more dialogue with the Muslim faith. I do not have any regrets. At the end of the day the most important thing to focus on here is the Holy Family. I have only one had one complaint from within the parish and that's it."'

Spoken like a true dhimmi.

Father Bonzani added that another reason for including the mosque was that it accurately represented today's Bethlehem. "Someone asked me why I had put one in and I said I wanted it to be a modern Bethlehem."

A modern Bethlehem? That would be one that the Islamic jihad had 'cleansed' of all its Christians and the remaining few live under siege.

Father Bonzani also responded to his fiercer critics. "They said that I was allowing Islam to infiltrate Catholicism. As for Mr Borghezio, he is showing complete ignorance of his so called Catholic faith to love thy neighbour as thyself."

UPDATE: Meanwhile in Muslim controlled Gaza:

Christians living in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are holding only small, quiet Christmas celebrations after local leaders received warnings from Muslim groups against any public display of Christianity this holiday season, according to a Gaza Christian leader.

Publicly, some Christian leaders announced the dampened festivities were to protest an Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza after Hamas seized control of the territory in the summer of 2007. Israel limits trade convoys but still allows in humanitarian aid and directly supplies Gaza with 75 percent of its electricity. The Jewish state also provides monthly infusions of Israeli currency that fuel the Gaza economy.

The dhimmis blame the Jews.

The banning of this film is a direct attack on free speech. A parliament that constantly talks of freedom, democracy and tolerance has shown once again that these are empty words when it does not agree with what is being said.  

On the same day that the European Parliament awards the Sakharov Prize to the Chinese freedom campaigner Hu Jia the Conference of Presidents deny free speech to one of its own members.  

The press conference is open to MEPs and their assistants as well as accredited members of the press.

Muslims have objected to the cross on his mitre and the Antwerp city  authorities decreed that the Saint, while visiting Antwerp schools to  hand out sweets, had to remove the cross from the mitre.
Yesterday evening, the Vlaams Belang demonstrated in front of the  Antwerp city hall with ten Santas, bearing the slogan: " 't Is  mijn kruis, blijf eraf": Keep off my cross (literally: It is  my cross. Keep off it) (hat tip Paul Belien)

Geert Wilders on Facing Jihad, facing danger and future moves

Security upped at anti-Jihad conference following alert Haaretz

Islamist groups with suspected terror links "displayed an interest" in an anti-jihad conference held in Jerusalem on Sunday, Dutch legislator Geert Wilders told Haaretz yesterday.

In the interview, Wilders also said that he is considering forming an alliance with Belgium's far-right Vlaams Belang party, which he has hitherto shunned. Belgian Jews have also shunned Vlaams Belang.

Not the Belgium Jews I spoke to. No one person or group speaks for the Jews. Ask two Jews for an opinion and you'll get three. Vlaams belang has been staunchly pro-Israel for ten years to their political detriment.  Pro-Israel IS NOT POPULAR IN EUROPE - particularly with such a large Muslim electorate.

The controversial politician said that Dutch security services had learned of the Islamist groups' interest, but said he could not elaborate.

However, he added, the news resulted in an increased security detail during his visit to Israel: He was surrounded by eight bodyguards at all times, whereas on previous visits, he was accompanied by only one or two.

"This is the first time I do not feel safer in Israel than in Holland," said Wilders, who has received countless death threats from Muslim extremists.

Knesset Member Aryeh Eldad, who organized the symposium, confirmed that Wilders had told him of the threat in advance and said appropriate security measures were taken.

Wilders said the threat was connected to a short anti-jihad film he released in February. The 15-minute film, which was screened at the conference, mostly contains hate sermons by imams and images from jihadist attacks, and has provoked Muslim fury.

"My security situation has deteriorated lately," he said. "The security services informed me that the riskiest time is a few months after the film's release."

Wilders also revealed that if his Party for Freedom - which occupies nine of the Dutch parliament's 150 seats - runs in European parliamentary elections, he may join Vlaams Belang to form a larger right-wing bloc. Wilders had previously said he would not consider such an alliance.

Belgium's Jewish leadership has boycotted Vlaams Belang, citing its "strong anti-Semitic characteristics," and in an interview with Haaretz last year, Wilders cited this in explaining his decision to distance himself from the party.

But now, he said, "there are different sounds coming from Vlaams Belang. Some people say they have changed, even from the Jewish community.

"That they have changed their tune. Others say they haven't. I have to look into it and talk to people and study it more. I'm not saying it is impossible."

However, he added, "we will not ally ourselves with parties like that of France's Jean-Marie Le Pen."

Lars Hedegaard: I don’t know anything about that. When the book is published around December 1st, it has nothing to do with the book as such. In that case it’s something about someone in the Muslim world who wants some attention. Then they’ll grab the opportunity to cause trouble or burn some embassies. They can use any occasion. Any at all will do. Be it a bird singing too loud or a honking car. Whatever. They’ll use anything to ignite anger, so why not some book or some drawing? I can’t take it seriously, and if the Danish embassy or Danish diplomats in Beirut think so, they’re wrong — there’s no connection.

Lars Hedegaard, President of the Free Press Society and free speech champion and Kurt Westergaard, cartoonist and  free speech icon, are under renewed threat of death from pious Muslims and adherents to the religion of pieces. I know, they kill people, it's what they do.

Danish sources said the 73-year-old Danish caricaturist, Kurt Westergaard, has provided new caricatures for a soon-to-be published book in Denmark by Danish Historian Lars Hedegaard. The new caricature drawings depict the Prophet, politicians, and religious leaders. The book will contain 26 drawings by Westergaad, whose caricatures in the “Jyllands Posten” newspaper in September 2005 triggered a local and international crisis.

Historian Lars Hedegaard heads an organization supporting freedom of speech and invited Geert Wilders, producer of the controversial movie “Fitna,”4 to Denmark in June 2008. According to the online post, Hedegaard’s book is set to be published at the beginning of December 2008.

In his post, Abu Salem requests that all who love the Prophet Muhammad help spread the news of the upcoming publication and notify religious leaders of what “these pigs” are attempting to do. One forum visitor responded to the post, suggesting that Bin Laden attack Copenhagen, repeating the call: “Bin Laden, Copenhagen!” several times. Another forum visitor wrote: “Our blood... our souls... our children... our money... all that we have... the entire world… anything so that a single hair of your distinguished head [i.e. Muhammad] is not harmed.”5

Abu Salem’s call provoked a significant response by internet users, also appearing in discussions on several of the main Jihadi online forums. On November 13, the “Al-Hesbah” forum quoted a report by the Jihad Press6 titled “Due to the silence of the Muslims, Denmark is preparing for a new crime against the Muslims – a book offending Islam.”7 The report describes the intended publication of Hedegaard's book and reminds readers that in June 2008 al-Qaeda carried out a “successful” attack on the Danish embassy in Pakistan in retaliation for the publication of caricatures in September 2005. In addition, the report claims that Bin Laden had threatened to attack Danish targets even before news of the publication of the new book.8 An internet user named Saqr Al-Islam Al-Maqdasi cynically wrote that if the book is in fact printed and distributed, small demonstrations would arise protesting the import of Danish cheese and meat productions. However, “the best defense is offence," he wrote. Al-Maqdasi explained that the best defense of the Prophet Muhammad does not come from boycotting Danish products, but rather:

"[…] by attacking Denmark everywhere so that it be known we are a nation sacrificing itself for Islam and its Prophet […] this cattle doesn’t understand anything but the language of rage, and we will decapitate the heads and set fire to the ground underneath their feet. They do not understand anything but the language of blood and scattering of body parts. I ask that Allah make successful the way of the loyal Jihad warriors, in order to blow up and set fire to Denmark."

In response, an internet user called for the complete halt of imports from Denmark, suggesting that they “begin exporting some of our products! Such as car bombs, suicide terrorists and missiles.”

News of book's upcoming publication has also been reported in the “Al-Faloja” online forum. A forum user that identified himself as “Jil Al-Qaeda Al-Qadim” (Al-Qaeda’s next generation), registered since September 2008, requested that the news be published widely and added that if he had any money, he would have killed every Danish person in his country.9

Background: The Affair of the Muhammad Caricature
Following the publication of 12 caricatures depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a Danish newspaper, a crisis erupted between Denmark and the Muslim World, dubbed "The Affair of the caricatures."
The caricatures were published in the cultural and satire section of the popular Danish newspaper “Jyllands Posten” on September 30, 2005, and later appeared in more than 20 newspapers around the world. Response to the caricatures was far more extensive than had been expected, spreading beyond Denmark and the European continent, ranging from murder threats against reporters and the caricature artists to attacks against Danish targets around the world.10

Recently a BBC announcer was sacked/fired for requesting a "non Asian taxi driver" to transport her young unaccompanied 14 year old daughter. (Out of concern for her daughter's fears/mental well being & safety)

Of course, the "racist" club was trotted out by the mainstream media and others to verbally bludgeon Sam Mason for having the audacity to demand an "English driver". But was Sam Mason really exposing her racism or was she reacting, as any mother would, to the facts that there is a ongoing epidemic of muslim taxi driver rapes in the UK? (Note: the media prefers the more vague term "Asian")

Not surprising - the mainstream media, is aiding and abetting these rapes, by refusing to "connect the dots" and report on the clear evidence: The growing numbers of predatory muslim taxi drivers (some posing as taxi drivers)raping British girls and women.

Ghulam Haider, 49, brutally raped 16 yr old gir,l Aug 2006

Shahjahan Islam, 27, linked by DNA to attempted rape of lone young woman, Nov 2008

Also disgustingly prevalent are examples of dhimmi members of the British police denying and intentionally obfuscating of the epidemic of muslim taxi drivers raping British women:

'OUR CULTURE IS BETTER'

Mr. Wilders's views on Islam, though, are problematic.

Problematic? For who Taranto? Savages? The global jihad against the West - now thats "problematic"

Since 9/11, American political leaders have struggled with the question of how to describe the ideology of the enemy without making enemies of the world's billion or so Muslims. The various terms they have tried -- "Islamic extremism," "Islamism," "Islamofascism" -- have fallen short of both clarity and melioration. Melioration is not Mr. Wilders's highest priority, and to him the truth couldn't be clearer: The problem is Islam itself. "I see Islam more as an ideology than as a religion," he explains.

Bingo!

His own view of Islam is a fundamentalist one: "According to the Quran, there are no moderate Muslims. It's not Geert Wilders who's saying that, it's the Quran . . . saying that. It's many imams in the world who decide that. It's the people themselves who speak about it and talk about the terrible things -- the genital mutilation, the honor killings. This is all not Geert Wilders, but those imams themselves who say this is the best way of Islam."

Yet he insists that his antagonism toward Islam reflects no antipathy toward Muslims: "I make a distinction between the ideology . . . and the people. . . . There are people who call themselves Muslims and don't subscribe to the full part of the Quran. And those people, of course, we should invest [in], we should talk to." He says he would end Muslim immigration to the Netherlands but work to assimilate those already there.

His idea of how to do so, however, seems unlikely to win many converts: "You have to give up this stupid, fascist book" -- the Quran. "This is what you have to do. You have to give up that book."

Uh, count me among the converted.

Fjordman happens to be one of the most prolific writers of our time, concerning both existential and domestic threats facing Europe in the 21st century. The historical significance of an Islam left unchallenged is not lost on Fjordman, who recognizes the threat it poses to both Europe and the West today, is the very same threat that European powers faced throughout the course of history. Either resist its influence and might, or succumb.

UPDATE: Dutch cabinet gives in: Wilders is no Hitler anymore

Two thousand Dutch schools will receive mail from the state-subsidized Day of Respect Foundation this week. The Foundation is forced by the Dutch cabinet to correct its class material that states that Geert Wilders is to be compared to Adolf Hitler. Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party (PVV) fought bitterly over the last days to have the text withdrawn.

Jihad against one of the warriors of the West. Geert Wilders, the rare breed of man, that dares to tell it like it is. I can't see Wilders with that fascist stache .... although it could be kinda avant garde.

Seriously, they will take each one of us down, one by one.  I stand with Wilders. Ayn Rand remarked in the book Atlas Shrugged, "I trust that no one will tell me that men such as I write about don't exist. That this book has been written--and published--is my proof that they do." Yeah, and so its Wilders.

Dutch 10-12 year-olds learn in school: Wilders is Hitler, Wilders has no respect for people that look different

Dutch youths will learn next week in school that Geert Wilders is to be compared to Adolf Hitler. They will receive nationally-distributed class material that states “Geert Wilders’ film Fitna and Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf are based upon one-sided points-of-view. Fortunately, there are also other books and plays that -on the contrary- show respect for people with other ideas or faiths or that look different.”

The pupils will receive the class material highlighting the Day of Respect, a multiculturalist project. The project is funded by three departments of the national government: Education, Justice and Housing. The school material has a national distribution among 10-to-12 year olds. The pupils will receive the newspaper at school.

Geert Wilders: “The day of respect is a hate fest against the Freedom Party. According to the organization everybody deserves ‘respect’, but of course, if you stand for freedom and oppose the islamisation of the West you don’t deserve any respect at all. Then the government will tell children you have a problem with ‘people that look different’. They play the racism card.”

“We are extremely angry the Dutch Department of Education is involved in this project.

We demand from education minister Ronald Plasterk to immediate withdraw any cooperation. Children go to school to learn not to be indoctrinated”, says Wilders.

The Freedom Party wants the class material to be discussed in Parliament this week.

The Dutch government gives subsidies to a leftish liberal driven organization that in the name of tolerance distributes a book for young children in which my film Fitna and I are compared with Hitler and Mein Kampf (see below). This is an unfortunate proof that criticism of Islam is being demonized by the Dutch political elite once again. Europe is almost lost to cultural relativists and pro-islamic appeasement. Now even in the most appaling way, Freedom of Speech is being bargained away again. However, I will not, never, give in to this liberal politICal correctness and shall fight back even stronger and more dedicated.
