My oldest grabbed me and insisted we head over to Urban Outfitters for some summer dresses and tops. This is the same Ugly Outfitters that has been introducing iconic symbols of Islamic Jihad into the mainstream media. So I said yes, knowing I wouldn't spend so much as a dinar there. H&M would get my kesev.
Imagine my shock and dismay when it looked like Obama campaign headquarters. The tee-shirt tables were stacked with Obama tees, blatant promotions for Obama, nothing for McCain. The posionous fruit of Obama's crack marketing consortium at full speed. These are 122 Urban Outfitters stores in the US, Canada, and Europe. The company operates over 200 stores under three brands: Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie.
This is an assault on the youth consciousness. The objective is to vote for Obama celebrity. Wearing Obama is "kewl". A vote for Obama is the "hip" thing to do. This isn't a Presidential election - this is the MTV awards.
Of course my daughter rolled her eyes when she saw but she knows when she is being manipulated. The zombies in the store were clueless.
This is no accident. This is another in a long line of cultural assaults by Urban. And yet the Chairman claimed it is important to "not mix politics and business":

The scarf in question appears on a male model on the website and is
the central image under the link to Stray.
When
contacted by The AJN, a representative from Roger David refused to comment,
and said only that he wasn’t aware the scarves were
being sold.
In Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall, members of political group the
Socialist Alternative wore black-and-white keffiyehs as they handed out
brochures supporting gay rights. When approached, one of the members said he was
wearing his keffiyeh as a symbol of “Palestinian resistance” and in opposition
to “Israel’s oppression”.
Ms. Geller has managed to
build up a large audience at her blog “Atlas Shrugs” with her ferocious attacks
on Islam. In a bid to attract more web surfers her blog now shows the anti-Islam
Dutch movie "Fitna".
Al Jazeera has found yours truly ............. heh (hat tip trk) And every word they ascribe to me is wrong. The "ferocious attacks" of mine are not on Islam, but from Islam. And if were true that I wanted to attract more web surfers, the movie I would be showing would be "Last Tango in Paris" not ..... Fitna.
A new term has emerged from this propogandist -"Islamophobist" -- is this the new, more scientific label for truth tellers? The Keffiyeh is the symbol of Jew hatred and Jihad. Dunkin' Donuts
has withdrawn an ad in which Rachael Ray - the talk-show host, cookbook author
and magazine editor - wears a scarf that resembles a keffiyeh (a traditional
headdress worn by Arab men) - after anti-Islam, anti-Muslim and pro-Israel
activists criticized the ad and even threatened to boycott the
company.
The ad, which appeared
earlier last month on the doughnut chain's web site to promote its iced coffee,
was first attacked by Pam Geller, who posted it under the headline "Rachel Ray:
Dunkin Donuts Jihad Tool."
Have you seen Rachel
Ray wearing the icon of Yasser Arafat bastard and the bloody Islamic jihad,"
Geller wrote. "This is part of the cultural jihad."
Another Islamophobist,
Michelle Malkin, following Geller, wrote on her website: "The keffiyeh, for the
clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize
murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular
adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos,

Greta Van Sustern asks Julia Allison over at Star Magazine (!) about the Islamic symbolism of Rachael Ray wearing a keffiyeh in a Dunkin Donuts advertisement (reported here first on May 18th). Weighing in with careful consideration, Allison declares, "it's a scarf for Christ's sake!" So informed..... doesn't she mean Allah's sake? Moral inversion, the inability to distinguish between right and wrong, good and evil is the sickness in our society.
Speaking of conservative bloggers, Greta bellows this priceless addition, "these people have too much time on their hands". I wish, Greta. I don't have time to hit the ladies room.
Bottom line, just because you don't recognize the uniform does not mean it is not a
uniform. The
keffiyeh was the signature of Yaser Arafatbastard and is the signature of Hamas and Hezbollah and
the homicide bomber. Pretending it's just a scarf is like pretending the klan white robe is a toga. Symbols mean something. Attempting to mainstream it, in effect softening its barbaric message, is an affront to every victim of Islamic jihad and the war we are engaged it. We are fighting for our way of life and our very lives, we should not be wearing the icon of the enemy. Dunkin Donuts was right. It does not belong in an advertisement.

Boycott: Don't Shop at Dunkin' Donuts! Say No to Anti-Arab Racism
Dunkin Donuts pulled this advertisement after right-wing
racists complained that the scarf in the ad was a
kaffiyeh.
The ANSWER Coalition and others
are calling for a worldwide boycott of Dunkin’ Donuts. The boycott intends to
send a powerful message to Dunkin’ Donuts and other corporations that engage in
racism or pandering to anti-Arab and anti-Muslim racists.
Dunkin’ Donuts has capitulated and withdrawn an advertisement for its
products following the allegation by a right-wing hack, Michelle Malkin, that
the spokeswoman in the ad was pictured wearing a kaffiyeh, a scarf which is a
staple of clothing traditionally worn by Palestinian men.
The scarf pictured in the ad is
not actually a kaffiyeh. But the anti-Arab racism of the right-wing, pro-Bush
ideologues like Malkin is so extreme that they launched their campaign because
they “thought” the scarf was this traditional Arab garment. Dunkin’ Donuts
pulled their ad apologizing that the scarf might even resemble a
kaffiyeh.
In Malkin’s
twisted world anything “Arab,” even a scarf, is “terrorist.” This is the same
line of thinking promoted by the Bush administration in the wake of 9/11, when
thousands of Middle Eastern men living in the United States were rounded up and
falsely imprisoned. Some were even tried on phony “terrorism” charges. It is the
same line of thinking that was used to promote the racist war drive against
Afghanistan and then Iraq.
The
fact that a giant corporation like Dunkin’ Donuts quickly pulled the
advertisement is a sign that the pervasive racism, chauvinism and xenophobia
peddled by right-wing bigots is a real danger. This is a classic tactic of
fascist intimidation and demonization of an entire population.
We demand that Dunkin’ Donuts
immediately apologize to the Arab-American community for this disgraceful
surrender to racism. Until that apology is issued we will refuse to shop or buy
any products marketed by the Dunkin' Donuts Corporation.
"I took another look at the Rachael Ray Dunkin' Donuts ad: if it isn't a keffieh it is worn as if it were a keffieh. If it isn"t a keffieh, how in the world could she justify wearing a rag like that? It is totally incongruous. No one ever ever ever wears an item like that for an ad, a TV show or any other public appearance . It's all stringy and downright ugly.
Wearing a scarf like that is akin to the graphics of the al Dura scene: no news report is ever filmed that way, framed that way. The al Dura image was filmed as a poster, used as a poster.
This scarf is unlike any scarf worn by any woman wanting to look good to promote a product. If it isn't a keffieh it is made to look like one. It's either a frank handshake or a wink of complicity. The scarf detracts from the advertised product, messes with the lady's outfit, sticks out like a sore thumb.
I should know. I live in France. We are famous for knowing how to wear scarves. And you can't take two steps in Paris these days without seeing an idiot with a keffieh wrapped around his or her neck.
The joke is, the jihadis they are honoring have an eye on those silly necks! The cutrate jihad fans claim to think the scarf means peace. Are you kidding? Have they spent the last 10 years in some back to nature colony with no TV, newspapers, or internet? Of course they know what it stands for...half way. of misperception, we will no longer use the commercial.
I bet the store the "stylist" shopped at was urban outfitters. *SPIT*

They responded but this is not the first time Urban Outfitters engaged in the promotion of cultural jihad. This has happened many times (see links below). Here in Norway the media questioned the designers for wanting to make fun of muslims, and interviewed a couple of muslims who said they were offended or even outraged. Apparently the audience had quite a laugh when the models did their walk. The red burka with the inscription "Oslo" is meant to be the muslim version of particular suit worn by graduates of gymnasium / college in Norway. The suit is worn mostly in May the third and final year when both graduation and heavy-duty partying take place. The real thing can be seen here.

Am I alone in thinking it’s reasonable to call into question the patriotism
of those who intentionally lie about their country to make it look bad? When
people strut around bleeding their hearts over our enemies who are not tortured,
but are in fact treated so well Michael Moore wishes we had their healthcare I’m
gonna go out on a limb thinking they may not like America.
So with the appeasers and the willfully self-deceived running the show,
exactly what rights to the jihadists have?
1. If jihadists’ phone calls plotting terrorist attacks are monitored by
telecom companies, jihadists can sue the telecom companies and tie them up for
years in the courts. This was enabled by the House Democrats’ allowing a
surveillance act to expire last week. National Intelligence Director Mike
McConnell and Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey wrote this week to the House Intelligence Committee: “We have
lost intelligence information this past week as a direct result of the
uncertainty created by Congress’ failure to act. Because of this uncertainty,
some partners have reduced cooperation.”
2. When jihadists are
interrogated, they have the right to have ACLU lawyers sit in on the
questioning -- lawyers who will watch the proceedings zealously and let the
interrogators know when they’re getting out of line and their clients have no
obligation to answer their questions. The Pentagon allowed this in 2005 during
interrogations of Taliban and Al-Qaeda prisoners, leading one military observer
to remark: “It’s as if they [the detainees] were [merely] shoplifters in the
U.S. The lawyers may have left by now, but the damage is done. We’re sending
guys [attorneys] down to interrogate on [the] taxpayer’s dime for absolutely no
reason now.”
3. Jihadists will have the right to feast on
“Asian-accented stews of beef, chicken, and fish,” such that the average weight gain
among prisoners at the alleged “torture camp” of Guantanamo will be thirteen
pounds.
4. Jihadists in U.S. custody shall have the right to receive a
free copy of the Qur’an – yet no effort will be made to disabuse them of the
notion that it commands them to make war against and ultimately subjugate the
very people who gave them the book.
5. Jihadists will not be subjected to
the psychological torture and ritual impurity of having to see that Qur’an
handled without gloves by unclean non-believing prison guards. (These two are
long-standing policy at Gitmo.)
The existence of a Muslim Brotherhood Memorandum that was entered into evidence at the federal trial of the Holy Land Foundation in Dallas. The following is an analysis of this memorandum by Stephen Coughlin, whose contract was not renewed by the Pentagon but who will soon be in a new position with the Office of the Secretary of Defense sent out by American Congress for Truth .
The bottom line of this memorandum is this: It calls for “Civilization Jihad” (what we typically refer to as “cultural Jihad”) against North America. As we have noted in prior emails to you, this aspect of Jihad is ominous and insidious, in that it is incremental, occurs from within, and is thus unnoticed by most people. As the people of Great Britain have painfully learned (perhaps too late), resisting this form of Jihad will, in fact, require greater vigilance and will on our part than resisting the obvious assault of terrorism.
The Memorandum clearly asserts that the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Islamic organization that has spawned some 70 Islamic organizations around the world and in the United States (such as ISNA), is the authority for the advance of “civilization Jihad.”
The following is a brief analysis of a Muslim Brotherhood document entered into evidence in the U.S. v Holy Land Foundation trial (Trial) that the U.S. Justice Department is currently prosecuting in Federal Court. Analysis is based on this document as well as other publicly available documents. (For a broad offering of Trial documents, see here). The attached documents relate to ISNA and the Trial.
The first document is a Muslim Brotherhood memorandum that was accepted into evidence in the U.S. v Holy Land Foundation (HLF) case. The first 16 pages are in the original Arabic and the second are English language translations of the same. It is dated 22 May 1991 and titled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America” (Memorandum). The document includes an Attachment 1 that contains “a list of our organizations and the organizations of our friends.”
Among those noted in the Attachment are ISNA, MSA, AMSS, AMSE, NAIT, IFC, IPAC, IAP, UASR, ICNA (typo in the second listing) and IIIT. ICNA and ISNA are the only two organizations named in the body of the text. ISNA is additionally represented on the list as IFC (ISNA Fiqh Committee – now the Fiqh Council of North America) and IPAC (ISNA Political Awareness Committee). The second document is a signed letter from Members of Congress Pete Hoekstra and Sue Myrick to the Justice Department dated 28 August 2007 formally requesting that Justice stand down from “co-sponsoring” a conference with ISNA due to its very close relationship to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Justice attended anyhow. The Memorandum was admitted into evidence at the same time the Letter was sent addressing Congressional concerns.
