ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK .......

Andrew Bostom breaks his silence on the the blogosphere's dirty not so little secret - the smear campaign of "fascist" fighters for freedom. The thing is, it is so tedious and essentially small but terribly damaging. And while we have all recovered (nicely, thank you) the real harm has been the setback to the transatlantic counter jihad movement. Perhaps Europe is lost but why throw it away with both hands? There are brave, wonderful warriors desperate for a global network to fight the relentless spread of sharia and Islam (please watch my interview this past Thursday with Geert Wilders).

So much evil, so little time and this is where we are expending our limited energies?

Johnson over at  LGF has effectively destroyed the transatlantic counter jihad movement and smearedthe few and the brave. He's lost it. The latest in his crosshairs is Dr. Andrew Bostom scholar without equal.

He is fighting the last war.  The Nazis are not the problem. And the those of us on the receiving end of his venom gave him a sort of free pass and let the vitriole, personal attacks, ugly insults slide  in a pathetic attempt to sort of handle the crazy aunt in the attic hoping he would eventually come to to his senses. But the pit bull bullies. All that energy, all that blog capital -- we are not the enemy.

Johnson clings to the canard "ethnic nationalism".

The Holocaust while it was a German initiative, was carried out by every nation in Europe, save for the Danes. There were Dutch Nazis, Polish Nazis, Europe as a continent decided it was a good idea to get rid of the Jews. Holland had the highest rate of collaboration with the Nazis, higher than any other country in Western Europe. 95% of Dutch Jews were murdered.

Caroline Glick said in my radio interview with her, the lesson the Europeans took away from the aftermath of WW2 is insidious. "The lesson that Europe had decided to avail itself to in the aftermath of Auschwitz, was not that evil is bad and that they behaved like monsters but rather that everything was caused by nationalism and therefore what we really need to do is have a European Union that will obviate our need for nationalism so that we can become this transnational gobbletygook and we'll all get together and therefore we won't have another Auschwitz.
But really the lesson should have been is that we were evil and we have to be good. And that is the lesson we have to learn and and we have to be able and willing ot make moral distinctions and stand up for the good and fight evil and that is something the Europeans refuse to do."

Nationalism isn't bad. American nationalism wasn't bad, has never been bad. British nationalism hasn't been bad. French nationalism isn't bad. Polish nationalism isn't bed. Czech nationalism wasn't bad.

The thing that was bad was that Germany which decided to embrace madness and evil as its central unifying characteristic under the Nazis. That is what the problem was, it was not nationalism per se. And its still not nationalism.

They took all the wrong lessons from WW2 and applying them while ignoring the only lesson that's really relevant from WW2 which is that you have to choose good and defend good and fight with the intention of defeating evil.

Confronting a Mendacious Bully Adrew Bostom

From the wise and courageous, i.e., Geert Wilders, to the (almost) ridiculous, were the stakes not so high:

Charles Johnson doth protest too much. For months I have endured in silence his distressingly stupid and vicious calumnies and threats—private, as well as public—against colleagues and friends—brave, decent souls who, unlike Johnson, are serious scholars, authors, and journalists, investigating the burgeoning threat of violent and non-violent jihadism/ Islamization in Europe.

 

When Johnson put my dear friend—the perspicacious writer and journalist Diana West—in his crosshairs, I was compelled to break my silence. Following Johnson’s e-mail threat to another close friend—the brilliant scholar and author Robert Spencer—after Raymond Ibrahim (editor/translator of The Al Qaeda Reader) simply blogged a favorable discussion (subsequently removed by Spencer, pace Johnson’s threat!) of Diana West’s September 18, 2008 Town Hall.com column at the Jihad Watch/Dhimmi Watch website—I noticed that National Review Online had a featured link (on 9/19/08) to the same West column.

 

As a rather gentle rebuke of Johnson’s bullying (not to mention months of his indiscriminate, irresponsible, and just plain idiotic spraying of charges of “Fascism”), I sent “CJ” an e-mail link to the NRO featured posting of West’s September 18, 2008 essay with the subject line heading, “Lookie!-NRO ‘Fascists’ have featured a link to Diana West’s ‘We are losing Europe to Islam.’” A week later, when Diana’s follow-up column was also a featured link at NRO (9/26/08), I again forwarded the NRO link with a similar subject heading. And the next day (9/27/08) when social critic Roger Kimball (of The New Criterion, and Pajamas Media) had a lengthy, favorable discussion of West’s 9/26/08 column, with the subject line title, “Oh No! ‘Fascist’ Roger Kimball on Cologne and ‘Fascist’ Diana West.”

 

Johnson responded to this latter e-mail accusing me (on the basis of the three rather innocuous e-mails above, sent during a week) of “stalking” him!

 

I wrote back in admittedly (albeit deservedly) caustic language highlighting the hypocrisy of Johnson’s attacks on those he perceived (see the observation of Anna Julia Cooper’s observation, about a bully’s “pretty safe instinct in scenting their prey”) as vulnerable—independent writers and thinkers such as West and Spencer—while lacking the guts to similarly attack well-established conservative icons such as NRO, or Roger Kimball who had endorsed West’s writings (NRO twice, in successive weeks) on the Islamization of Europe.

 

Johnson then proceeded to blog the comments (below) at his website, which included a “threat” to publish my e-mails to him. Johnson’s warped characterization of my correspondence, and idle threats to “expose” those e-mails reveal his mendacity and prototypical bully cowardice. The e-mails are included below, preceded by Johnson’s public comments at his blog.

ATLAS EXCLUSIVE: FJORDMAN ON FREEDOM FIGHTING "FASCISTS"

What follows is an essay by Fjordman on what I consider to be the dangerous, almost lethal hypocrisy of bloggers, pundits and their followers on the right who have taken up against brave men and women fighting the spread of Islamic supremacism taking over their respective countries . What began as an assault on the transatlantic Counter Jihad  movement in October of last year, has metastasized. Just this past weekend, a small group of peaceful protesters were set upon and Jews were beaten while being called "Nazis" and "fascists" during what was to be a peaceful protest against the islamification of Europe.This is pure evil at its most base. I believe this polemic had a hand in empowering these thugs.  Who are the Nazis, the fascists? It certainly infected the already poisonous leftist/Islamic narrative.

Then, as now, I am confounded by the irrational position of those in the blogosphere that point fingers at those fighting the scourge of Islamic imperialism in Europe and America (myself included). In covering the spread of the global jihad, I am steeped in the evil of the hegemony of Islam, sharia law and the stealth jihad. One does not not have to go far to find hatred of the West, anti-semitism,and  the careful dismantling of our freedoms everyday. Evil is all around us so it is nonsensical to me to spend unlimited energy trying to find an incriminating "gotcha" moment or smoking gun on  folks like Filip Dewinter who have put themselves and their families at great risk to fight the leftist/Islamic alliance and align themselves with Israel.

Why sit in the middle of a haystack searching for the proverbial needle, while the barn burns?

In free societies, free man can speak, assemble, demonstrate  - but no more. I stood by Europeans desperate to save their countries then and I stand by them now.

In late 2007 and early 2008, I was involved in a heated argument with the American blog Little Green Footballs and its owner Charles Johnson. I haven't been thinking much about it since then because it consumed too much energy and I found it to be a waste of time. However, recent events have caused me to look at these issues once more. In the city of Cologne (Köln), Germany, a scheduled anti-Islamization demonstration was disrupted by an unholy alliance of Eurabian Multicultural elites and extreme Leftist "anti-Fascists." As Thomas Landen puts it in The Brussels Journal:

"Last weekend's events in Cologne demonstrate what European conservatives are up against. A conference protesting the building of a mega mosque run by Turkish radicals was violently disrupted by thugs who gained the approval of the local German authorities and the German media. The international media, including the so-called 'conservative' media, have either not written about the Cologne incidents or done so by branding the conservatives as 'Neo-Nazis' and the thugs as ordinary citizens bravely fighting back 'Nazism.' An example of the latter can be found in The Times of London."

According to magazine Der Spiegel, "an estimated 40,000 protesters turned up in Cologne's downtown Heumarkt area, many wearing clown suits, to disrupt the rally. They blocked urban trains to keep delegates away and raided a tourist boat shaped like a whale - called the 'Moby Dick' - where the far-right gathering had been hoping to hold a press conference. A Pro Cologne spokesman said, 'Stones, bricks and paint bombs were thrown and the panoramic windows of the Moby Dick were shattered.' Police cancelled the rally after 45 minutes. Pro Cologne organizers had to dismantle microphones and other equipment in Heumarkt while the overwhelmed riot cops tried to hold back the crowd of protesters."

According to Der Spiegel, Police had prepared for about 1,500 far-right activists, organized by the local 'Pro Cologne' movement, to make a public show of discussing what they called the 'Islamization' of Europe."

As the esteemed American writer and columnist Diana West commented: "The suggestion here is that no non-'far-right activist' could possibly be so 'far right' as to imagine Europe is being Islamized….The point of the anti-Islamization rally was rational discussion. But Cologne proved it values neither reason nor discussion. 'The city was ready.' For mob rule."

The supposedly conservative newspaper Die Welt put up an online poll asking their readers whether they thought it was OK to ban the anti-Islamization demonstration. According to the major blog Politically Incorrect, as of midnight 86% disagreed with this policy. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, thousands of votes miraculously came in and the poll ended with exactly 50% in favor of the ban. Die Welt deleted the comment section because many comments criticized the decision to ban the Pro Cologne meeting.

Several eyewitnesses who were present this weekend were shocked by the behavior of the police, who in their eyes seemed to be acting as a surrogate of the left-wing "antifa" groups (supposedly anti-Fascists, although they tend to behave pretty much exactly like Fascists).

Aviel, a Jewish man who was beaten up in Cologne on 20 September, explains:

"My [Jewish] friend, Michael Kucherov was the first casualty here on Friday. He got beaten up for trying to enter the first of our [=Pro Cologne] meetings on Friday. I sorely resent myself for not being there at that time for him. It rips me apart to hear about a Jew being beaten up in the streets of Germany. Well he wouldn't be the only Jew. The next day as I was trying to enter Heumarkt, I was beaten up by Antifa thugs on Eibahnstrasse. In both incidents, as we were being beaten up, they were yelling and screaming 'Nazi' which was quite odd. Michael dressed in a suit but I was wearing my kippa and quite easily identified as a Jew so you can understand how odd it seems to be beaten by Germans in the street and called Nazi when you are Jewish. Anyway, I am going home with a broken rib but my pride still intact. I could have tried to escape or run but no way no how and I going to run or get on my knees for these people. Not this Jew. And one more thing, just let them all know that we (Jews) aren't all soft. Living here in Europe, we battle thugs and islamists all the time and still ask for more. That's why I traveled from France to Germany to make this conference. We are on the frontline of a battle which grows darker by the minute."

A Norwegian man blogging under the name maalmannen experienced something similar and posted many photos from the event:

"On several occasions, I observed people trying to join the demonstration being attacked and chased away by the leftist counter-demonstration. In one case, an old woman carrying a lot of anti-Islamization posters was attacked by a gang of Antifa activists. The rest of the crowd shouted 'Nazis raus' [Nazis out] when these criminals attacked the old frau and took all her posters away from her, and then ordered her to leave or risk more attacks."

Spanish writer AMDG from the blog La Yijad en Eurabia adds his observations:

"It was obviously not possible to enter the Heumarkt. I tried one of the narrow streets of the old city; there was a line of antifas with black clothing and sun glasses. They have even dared to place one of those plastic red-white stripes in front of them. I told one of them that I wanted to cross, they say no way. One of them spoke Spanish, and I ask her whether she was any authority, she confirmed it 'we are the authority'. A line of anti-riot police agents was only two meters behind them. I can not find a better image of the creeping Eurabian fascism: The police not only do not confront them, they cover their backs. Alternatively, we may think that the antifa-lefty militants are just the stormtroopers (Sturmabteilung?) of the formal police."

A number of those demonstrating for "democracy" and against "extremism" were Communists. I guess a hundred million dead victims of Communism in a few generations isn't a sign of extremism. Some also carried anti-Israeli slogans and merchandise using the icon of Marxist mass murderer and torturer Che Guevara. It is well-known that hardline Marxist organizations are still strong and influential in Germany, as in many other countries.

Many of those present noticed the militant-looking black outfits of some of the extreme Leftist demonstrators, which seemed to match closely with their attitudes. Since the term "Fascist" these days appears to be reserved for anti-Islamists and "racist" critics of mass immigration in general and Muslim immigration in particular, it is challenging to find a proper term for the militant antifa crowd. "Red Nazis" could be useful, but perhaps "blackshirts" is most appropriate, alluding to their black clothing and uniforms.

According to AMDG, "I think that we should repeat this rally every year. We need to show the Europeans that the Nazis and the fascists are the lefties. We can only make it by insisting. We need to join also the counterdemo with banners showing verses of the Koran."

The decision to silence the demonstration against Islamization was supported by local authorities as well as national and probably supranational ones. Thomas Steg, spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, stated that Berlin favored "inter-cultural dialogue." The German Interior Ministry, too, criticized the rally, stating that "Such a gathering of populists and extremists harms the co-existence that the city and Muslim citizens have striven for."

Cologne Mayor Fritz Schramma, from the same "conservative" Christian Democratic Party (CDU) as Chancellor Merkel, said on public radio that "We don't want their conference and along with a great majority of Cologne people we'll be obstructing them."

In my view, Cologne Mayor Fritz Schramma is a dhimmi collaborator. His actions betray his city, his country and his civilization. This was a shameful act of cowardice and appeasement of the Nazis of our time. The true heirs of the Nazis and the Communists, both in totalitarian mentality and in methods, were the blackshirt left-wingers who were present this day, not those who demonstrated against the Islamization of their continent. Schramma should resign immediately. It is nothing less than an international disgrace that after Germany has been freed from the Nazis and the Communists, the authorities in a major city in the largest country in Europe kneel to totalitarian thugs and allow them to rule the streets.

The blackshirts were deliberately allowed by the authorities to harass those who are critical of the official pro-Islamic policies. This confirms my long-held suspicion that the extreme Leftist thugs who assault immigration-critics in certain countries are a prolonged arm of the state. The "anti-Fascists" AFA in Sweden, for instance, openly brag about regular physical attacks against people they don't like. They have been doing this for years. The media and the authorities know about it and do nothing. They like it, plain and simple.

The state-sponsored organization Expo in Sweden co-published a book with AFA on critics of mass immigration. Expo has now provided their material to the largest political party in the country, the Social Democrats, for use against their political rivals.  The "respectable," state-funded organization Antirasistisk Senter, the Antiracist Center in Norway, at their home page link to AFA Stockholm, which they call "militant Swedish anti-Fascists." So they do know they are "militant," but not so much that they won't link to them. They also link to Antifaschistische Aktion (AFA) in Berlin, some of whose members were probably among the brave "anti-Fascists" who assaulted "racist" old ladies and Jewish "Nazis" in Cologne. The other organizations mentioned indicate that these are recommended links, not just "relevant links." This is met with silence from the mass media and the political class.

Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv has earlier exposed the fact that the largest "anti-racist" organization in the country, SOS Rasisme, was heavily infiltrated by Communists in the late 1980s and early 90s, in other words, during the downfall of Communism in Eastern Europe. They went directly from Communism to Multiculturalism, which indicates that some of them view Multiculturalism as the continuation of Communism by other means.

The state-funded Islamic Council of Norway admit that they receive "guidance" from the Muslim Brotherhood's spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi and his Fatwa Council, who are debating whether or not gays should be killed, among other things. He has also supported suicide bombings and marriage to girls aged nine years old. Meanwhile, a Socialist named Lars Gule, who was once arrested traveling to the Jewish state of Israel with dynamite in his backpack with the intention of blowing up stuff, suggested on a major blog that the security services should have me under surveillance because I am a dangerous "right-wing extremist."

One of the foreign visitors, the Flemish politician Filip Dewinter, criticized Cologne Mayor Schramma and compared him to Freddy Thielemans, the Socialist Mayor of Brussels, Belgium, who in 2007 and 2008 banned demonstrations commemorating the 2001 9/11 terror victims in the USA because he didn't want to upset the local Muslims. "Brussels and Cologne have mayors who kneel and submit to Islamization," Dewinter said.

I checked the front page of the major American "anti-Jihad" website Little Green Footballs (LGF) from Friday 19 to Tuesday September 23 2008 to check what blogger Charles Johnson wrote about the demonstration. As far as I could see, he remained completely silent on the subject, yet there is no doubt that he was aware of the event. On Sep 8 he wrote about "Fascists Hijacking Anti-Jihadism in Cologne" and stated that "Here we go again, as an all-star cast of European fascists hijacks the anti-jihad movement for their own sick political purposes."

One of these "Fascist bastards" (Johnson's words) was Dewinter, with his "Cities against islamisation" project. Mr. Johnson himself noted that the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, hardly a beacon of tolerance and enlightenment, urged the European Union (not Germany, interestingly enough) to intervene and stop this planned "anti-Islamic" meeting, and Johnson concluded that "The Iranian mullahs couldn't have asked for better propaganda."

The Iranians put pressure on the EU several times and summoned the French ambassador - France held the rotating presidency of the EU - to expressed deep concern over the EU's lenient behavior toward anti-Islamic sentiments in Europe and suggested that European authorities prohibited the conference. Shouldn't the "anti-Jihadist" Johnson and his followers be concerned over the fact that they end up on the same side as a repressive and terrorist-sponsoring Islamic state against Westerners fighting for their freedom? Apparently not.

Just a few days before this, the "Fascist bastard" Filip Dewinter received the "Oriana Fallaci Prize" in Florence for his work with "Cities Against Islamisation," among other things. The prize is named after the courageous Italian Islam-critical journalist and writer Oriana Fallaci. The irony is that Mr. Johnson kept a photo of Fallaci on his frontpage for several years, but at the time of writing, this photo has suddenly and mysteriously disappeared. I guess Fallaci was a Fascist, too, just like Dewinter, myself and everybody else who doesn't believe in the myth of a moderate Islam. Dutch politician Geert Wilders does not appear to believe in the existence of a moderate Islam, either. When will LGF declare him a Fascist?

The LGF-crowd thinks that Europeans must prove that we are 100% "ideologically pure" before we should be granted the right to fight for our continued existence. Imagine if a house is on fire. The fire brigade has just arrived to put out the fire, but the neighbor won't allow them to use the local water because he fears it may be impure. He will only accept that they use holy water - distilled holy water - and only if it has been blessed by a lesbian priest who supports voting rights for illegal immigrants. Since the firefighters don't have this available, the house burns down, but the neighbor takes comforting in knowing that at least the remaining ash is ideologically pure. This is Little Green Football's attitude to the threat faced by the Western world. In fact, their attitude is to say that the water is more dangerous than the fire itself, and to beat the firefighters with their umbrellas while screaming "Fascist bastards!"

The thinking seems to be that if you scratch any random European there is usually a Nazi lurking underneath, just waiting to get out. There are only two possible versions of Europeans: the surrender-monkeys and the Nazis. If we are not the former, then it follows by logic that we have to be the latter. This attitude betrays an all-pervasive hatred that demonizes absolutely anything Europeans do to protect their dignity and heritage. It closely mirrors Multiculturalism, which is an anti-Western, but especially anti-European, hate ideology

One of the reasons why hardcore anti-Semites (David Duke would be a case in point) are unreliable allies is that they hate Jews so much that it shuts down the rational parts of their brain and they end up making common cause with Muslims, based on mutual hatred. The same logic applies to hardcore anti-Europeans, of which there are many even at "conservative" websites such as LGF. They have an irrational hatred, a dark cloud in their minds which prevents them from seeing the world clearly. In a way, some LGF-ers thus have more in common with David Duke than they'd like to admit. If mindless anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism should be considered a problem then so should mindless anti-Europeanism.

This weekend, we witnessed how violent thugs threatened, assaulted and in some cases beat up people they disagreed with, several of them Jews. These "anti-Fascist" blackshirts are closely related to the violent totalitarian movements of past generations, in their dress code, mentality and willingness to silence freedom of speech by brute force. In short, they resemble Fascists and Communists (some of them were Communists). What has Little Green Footballs, which never misses an opportunity to denounce "Fascists," written about this? So far, absolutely nothing. There are indeed people who behave like Fascists in Europe, and they receive tacit support from LGF while their victims are denounced as "Fascists."

I have watched, for the better part of a year, a number of decent human beings including, but not limited to, Pamela Geller, Paul Belien, Diana West, the Baron and Dymphna from the Gates of Vienna blog and many others, being at the receiving end of a vicious smear campaign from Charles Johnson and Little Green Footballs which is unlike anything I have seen in my life. After engaging in an insane witch-hunt on imaginary Fascists, whose ranks seem to grow every month, Mr. Johnson now suddenly chooses to look the other way in silence when very real Fascists use violence to silence their critics in a major Western city. I admit that makes me angry, and I think I have the right to be so.

The time has now come for Mr. Johnson to apologize in public to the numerous people he has smeared since the fall of 2007, starting with the ones I have mentioned above. It's not their credibility that's on the line here. It's his. If he continues to undermine those confronting Islamic infiltration, it will become increasingly difficult for LGF to present itself as an anti-Jihad website at all. At some point, the rapidly shrinking number of people in the northern hemisphere who haven't been banned from the site yet will be forced to ask themselves whether the website and its owner have simply switched teams and joined the Dark Side.

A Jew Beaten in Cologne: A First Person Account

A Jew who attended the banned (at the last minute)  Anti-Islam rally in Cologne, Germany gives us his disturbing, first hand account of events. Meet Aviel, A Jewish man who was beaten and kicked with steel toe boots ........... I have made no corrections. I thought readers should read it raw.

Well this is the first chance I have gotten to write about the events in Cologne on the 19^th and 20^th of this month as I saw them happen. I am no essayist like Fjordman but then again this is not my intention. I will just let you know how things went down as best as I can remember.

I arrived in Cologne on Thursday the 18^th and checked into the Hyatt hotel on the right side of the Rhine just opposite the Cathedral. I had been to Cologne before and so I decided to return to a restaurant I knew called The Lowenbrau. After eating I was walking back to my hotel and passed through Domplatz. There I saw the first signs of what was going to be a long weekend. In the square was a menagerie of leftist protest displays, ranging from anti-Israel to the DKP (German Communist Party) placards. I was wasn’t really surprised to find such nonsense so I continued on As I rounded the corner towards the bridge I saw floods of Antifa begin to arrive and settle in for the night. They were mostly clad in black, boots, and a variety of hair colors with dark glasses and face masks etc…. . Most were wearing, as many other protesters, Palestinian keffiyah, and I saw many of them carrying placards which read things like, “Islam Mosques Welcome, Nazis Out!!” They were setting up camp around Domplatz and other areas, drinking beer, breaking bottles and being loud and quite threatening to passersby. All this seemed to bore the police. 

 

Friday morning the private meeting of delegates for the conference was to take place in a municipal building and from there they were to move to a Rhine pleasure boat for a news conference. On the way to the municipal building, my friend Michael Kucherov was attacked and beaten just outside the building as he attempted to enter. All of this in plain view of the police who could not be bothered to intervene until he had taken more than a few good shots to the head and body. This really set the stage for the Police behavior I would witness in my own assault and throughout the events over the weekend. After a short while the delegates were moved by bus to the boat. Again, the Antifa seemed to know the exact time and location of this event as well. It is really no coincidence that the media and police were also present at both locations. The Antifa began hurling stones at the delegates and the boat; smashing windows and this continued to the point where the boat was considered not seaworthy due to the damage. Once again, the police took their time before acting against this aggression. I will admit that some arrests were made but let’s not start congratulating the police. The damage done to the boat was extremely extensive, the danger to the personal safety of those onboard was without question, and the thugs were in arms reach of the police who allowed a point to be made before deciding that they had better uphold their own image as well. At that point, if anyone were still questioning whether or not the Antifa were acting as a surrogate to the government and the police, then they ought to have had their heads examined.  Generally speaking the mayhem continued through the day. Drinking and destroying private property, while the police watched, carried on through the night. Antifa also disrupted rail traffic from the aeroport early Saturday morning by setting fire to a rail signal and blockading the tracks.

Saturday morning saw the events turn despicable. My friends and other delegates of the conference decided the best way t act was to arrive at Heumarkt early in the morning to begin setting up for the events. Contrary to what the Cologne government would tell you, many media organizations did show up to the event. Reporters from the New York Times, the London Times and others in Heumarkt proceeded to do interviews with delegates like my friend Kucherov in the morning before the conference and rally were to begin. However it was doomed from the start. The police began setting up barricades across every street leading into Heumarkt, thus preventing ANYONE, including those who wanted to attend the conference, to gain access. Here is where it gets interesting…. The Antifa set upo there own barricades, human chains if you will, right in front of each of the police barricades. The police seemed perfectly okay with this. They even seemed okay with the fact that if there were an altercation between citizens and the Antifa barricade, they would not be able to break through in a timely fashion in order to stop it. In general, it appeared that they were quite happy to let the Antifa control the streets and access to the Heumarkt square. This of course would ensure that they (the local government) would be able to gloat and report that nobody showed up to support the “Nazis”.

I myself came upon one of these barricades on Eibahnstrasse that morning on my way to attend the conference on Heumarkt. I approached the Antifa thugs and demanded that they let me pass. I was wearing my Kippah and readily indetifiable as a Jew; however, they screamed at me “Nazis Raus”. One of them showed me backwards and a woman spit on me and called me a fascist pig. At this point I had had enough and put my head down and started to try and break through the barricade. I was pummeled in the head several times and then shoved to the ground were I was beaten and kicked with steel toe boots in plain sight of the police who did nothing. I grabed the boot of one of the attackers and pulled him down to the ground. I, despite the beating I was taking, proceeded to give this bastard as much or more than I myself was getting. Unfortunately, and I say unfortunately because he was just a kid in his early twenties, I really hurt this one. It was then that I heard the police shouting and blowing whistles. They stopped kicking me and I got up and stumbled away. I didn’t realize that I had a broken rib until later.

 

The Antifa barricades continued and I witnessed several more people beaten up by these thugs in view of the police. This included the savage beating of a man with all white hair well into his sixties. I had also heard of an elderly woman who was assaulted but I myself did not see this. In short, due to the police and the Antifa, nobody was able to pass through to attend the conference. I myself never made it though some of my friends did because they arrived at about 7am in preparation. At about 1 or so I was resting up, licking my wounds over a liter of Kolsch in a pub when I heard celebratory shouting and cheering. I assume this is when the people got word that the conference had been officially shut down.

 

The streets from that point on were entirely controlled by the Antifa and other thugs. The police removed air cover later in the day and many of the police had retreated to the right side of the Rhine while more Antifa poured over the rail bridge from the left. It was such a joke. The police never secured the rail bridge. They instead secured the Deutz bridge for what looked to me as just a show of force but with no intended result. The Antifa kept coming over the rail bridge and basically set up a rectangular perimeter on the left side of the Rhine over which they had total control. You could clearly see the police had pulled back and grouped themselves on the Deutz bridge outside of this permiter. The perimeter itself ran basically from the rail bridge to the Deutz bridge, from Hohestrasse to Frankenwerft and the waterfront. Despite my earlier troubles I decided I was not running back to my hotel. I stayed out and documented the absolute anarchy that carried on throughout the day and night. I got into a couple more scuffles that night over being called a “Jew” by so-called anti-fascists but mostly I just watched Germany descend into the worst chaos and darkness since the 1920s and 30s. I finally went home around 11:30pm Saturday night and noticed that I had a major problem with my ribs. That’s when I first sent word to Gates of Vienna

Later that night, I was disgusted by how the television reports boasted and bragged about how the citizens rose up and drove out the “fascists”. They gloated about how the “Nazis” had no support and “nobody showed up to attend the conference”. Now I can’t tell it like Fjordman can tell it, but that was definitely propaganda produced by brute physical force and condoned by the local government.

 

I really left out a lot of detail due to space on your blog but this was a general overview of what happened. I want to say in closing that I do not blame the Muslims for what they do. It is in their nature. If you leave a raw steak around your neck and walk amongst ravenous dogs, you are bound to be attacked. They have their agenda and they are not afraid to admit this is war. If we are weak, the smart enemy will hit us in that spot. So I can’t blame them for smelling victory and going for it at every opportunity. No, the greatest threat to European society and the west in general, are the neo-Bolshevik hordes of the Antifa and the Socialist elite of the EU. These people are committing the greatest atrocity and betrayal of western society in the history of mankind. They want nothing less than to destroy our morality, our culture, our way of life and everything that our ancestors fought and bled for. I hope everyone who reads this realizes that the true enemy is socialism and its surrogates.

I am not going to waste your time tonight with yet another treatise on why Islam is not the Religion of Peace, Tolerance, Compassion, etc, etc. We are beyond that. Had America agonized, in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor, whether Shinto was actually OK but only Bushido was bad, the Greater Asian Co-prosperity Sphere would be going strong to this day. Among reasonable people, unblinkered by the dicta of political correctitude, the real score on Muhammad and his followers is well known. It has been known for centuries. That score, however, no matter how calmly stated and comprehensively supported, invariably elicits the howls of “Islamophobia” from the neoliberal elite class.

AN EMINENTLY POSTMODERN LITTLE PHOBIA

In the way of an introduction, let us therefore look at the formal, legally tested definition of that word, the latest addition to the arsenal of postmodern “phobias.” It is provided by the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) based here in Vienna. (“Orwellian” is a worn-out adjective, but it simply has to be used in connection with this particular institution.) The EUMC diligently tracks the instances of “Islamophobia” all over the Old Continent, which it defines by eight red flags:

1.		Islam is seen as a monolithic bloc, static and unresponsive to change.
2.		Islam is seen as separate and “Other.”
3.		Islam is seen as inferior to the West, barbaric, irrational, primitive and sexist.
4.		Islam is seen as violent, aggressive, linked to terrorism, engaged in a clash of civilizations.
5.		Islam is seen as a political ideology.
6.		Criticisms made of the West by Islam are rejected out of hand.
7.		Discriminatory practices and Muslims’ exclusion from mainstream society are advocated.
8.		Anti-Muslim hostility is seen as natural or normal.

This definition is obviously intended to preclude any possibility of meaningful discussion of Islam.

FJORDMAN ATTEMPTS THE IMPOSSIBLE

Fjordman, over at  Brussels Journal, is  attempting, yet again, to  reason with the the unreasoned. It's a waste of his extraordinary talent, IMAO.

As I have repeatedly lamented, this division of the right and, in effect, the clubbing of the transatlantic counter jihad movment plays right into the hands of the ....... jihad. It is like arguing over the place mats on the Titanic dining tables, as the water is washing over the decks. I just don't get it but have stopped trying to understand the motive. It's plain wrong.

Fjordman's account of events in Europe is a bloody mess. The Euro lefties have a death/obliteration wish.

The trouble with Europe trying to defend the political and religious and demographic invasion by Islam is there is nobody left in the house to defend the house, they have all become their enemy.

There is no one else left to defend Europe except the nationalistic groups. Fjordman shows that in associating with those whom he believes to be moderates, Charles is consorting with the devil. I have seen the enemy, it aint us.

It's one thing to pose as the  great conservative fighting the pure & good fight against  "fascist" elements in the Euro-nationalistic movements, but consorting with marxists, leftist and outright feminazis is hardly pure.

To the obvious point, that absent the nationalists, there is no one to defend Europe. Absent a defense & a fight, Europe is swept away in the encroaching tide of Islam.

To the readers of Little Green Footballs Fjordman, Brussels Journal

I've written about the Swedish organization Expo before, but it seems I have to do so again. As most of my readers know, I have been involved, along with several others, in a very public debate with Charles Johnson of the major American "anti-Jihad" blog Little Green Footballs. If it can indeed be called a debate, I'm not so sure. I can personally testify that pretty much everybody on "my side" of this issue has been tired of it for a very long time. Yet recently LGF again publicly attacked Gates of Vienna and The Brussels Journal, and Johnson has continued posting negative remarks about the website Atlas Shrugs.

I was not mentioned by name, but since I publish essays regularly at GoV and TBJ and will probably publish occasionally at AS in the future, it is tempting to treat attacks on these websites as attacks on me personally. If I have been slow in responding, this is because I am so tired of this nonsense that the mere thought of getting involved once again almost makes me feel physically ill. After thinking about it, I have decided I will respond after all. First of all because it annoys me to see good, honorable and decent individuals being unfairly demonized in this way, but also because ignoring such attacks, which was my initial reaction, leaves the impression that you are an easy target for bullying. I'm not an easy target, and I will thus respond once again, against my better judgment, to give my side of the story.

The Moslem Republic of Kosovo declared its independence this week.  The United States and several European countries have already recognized it.  News reports that the Israeli Foreign Ministry was urging swift Israeli recognition were denied, and reporters were told that Israel does not want to be the first to jump, but once the list of countries recognizing Kosovo is longer, Israel will be one of them.

If Israel does recognize Kosovo, this will certainly be the result of a decision made by the prime minister and foreign minister. Such a decision will be indubitable proof of the foolishness and malignant shortsightedness from which they suffer. If their willingness to establish an Arab terrorist state in the heart of our own country can be explained by their having internalized the Peace Now ideology concerning what they call the “occupation” and the demographic problem – there can be no such explanation for Israel’s giving support to Islamic imperialism in Europe. 

The fear of the spread of Islam is expressed today in increasing support for conservative parties in Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany.  These are not extreme right or neo-Nazi parties but rather mainstream conservative parties. They view Israel as a frontline fortress of Western culture facing jihad, and they fear that this fortress may fall under Arab pressure and because of the weakness of Israel’s leaders.  Such Europeans fear the separatist trends among millions of Moslem immigrants in Western Europe, the demands to apply Islamic Sharia law in those countries, and the ideological and financial support the immigrants are getting from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Al Quaida.  They are worriedly counting the thousands of mosques being built in Western Europe, and they are made anxious by their understanding of how Moslems have exploited Europeans’ collective guilt feelings over the destruction of the Jews to win surrender to Moslem demands for collective rights, free immigration, and multi-culturalism – all so that the Europeans will not be accused of racism.  Millions of Moslem immigrants in Europe supported by billions of Saudi dollars are garnering more and more “rights” and influence.

Islamic proliferation in Europe took in a new country this week. The Moslem minority in Serbia in the Kosovo region bordering the Islamic state of Albania declared its independence.  Serbia is a sovereign country, a member of the United Nations, with an ethnic minority.  Based on the standards being used for Kosovian independence, the Basques should now be able to set up an independent state in Spain.  Such states may also be established in Russia, Slovakia, Greece, and Cyprus.  The flag of Kosovo is that of Islamic proliferation and a source of serious anxiety to Europe.  Those European countries recognizing Kosovo are doing so under economic pressure from oil-rich Arab countries, the markets of Islamic countries, and internal pressure by millions of Moslem voters in Europe.

Expressing complete political blindness towards the nature of the conflict between Moslems and the rest of the world, Olmert and Tzippi Livni are convinced that establishing an Arab state in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza is in Israel’s political interests.  Only someone who doesn’t understand that the conflict has nothing to do with a parituclar boundary can think that drawing such a boundary line along the 1967 borders will solve anything.  Only someone who doesn’t understand what the Moslems in Europe want can think that the establishment of an independent Kosovo will resolve the conflict in the Balkans.  If Israel joins in recognizing Kosovo, there will be no political, legal, or moral claim it can make to oppose establishing an Arab state in the Galilee and Northern Negev.  For what is the difference?  An ethnic minority with territorial contiguity to neighboring enemy states demands, following a bloody war, to tear pieces from a sovereign country, and proclaim its independence.  This is or will be exactly the demand of the Arabs after the first stage in the “strategy of stages,” the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is, Heaven forbid, attained.  And we cannot forget that Arabs and the haters of Israel in Europe portray Israel in colors no less cruel than those used to portray the Serbs, and accusations of genocide are thrown at us just as they were thrown at them.  When the day comes when the Arabs in the Galilee declare independence, Israel will have no way to oppose it, assuming it today recognizes a country formed on exactly the same basis.

I have heard commentators explaining that neither we nor Europe should fear Kosovo because the Kosovians are “moderate Moslems.”  It was from these moderate Moslems that Haj Amin el-Husseini gathered tens of thousands of volunteers for the 13th SS Division (“Handschar”) and 21st SS Division (“Skanderbeg”).  On them he built his dream of marching with Hitler’s armies into Palestine and destroying the Jews of Eretz Israel.  Today Israel, together with its European partners, must present a solid front to stop the spread of Islam in Europe, for as long as the Moslem strength there increases, the tendency of European countries to prefer the Arabs over Israel will also increase.

Contrary to popular belief I am not responsible for the actions of others, particularly those across the Atlantic.  Apparently a new coalition has formed to fight the Islamisation of Europe.

SEVERAL European far-right parties announced a new organisation aimed at fighting the “Islamisation” of Europe.

The group dubbed “Cities against Islamisation” was presented to the media in the northern Belgian city of Antwerp by Filip Dewinter, head of the far-right Belgian party Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) along with Austrian FPOE leader Heinz-Christian Strace and Robert Spieler of the regionalist Alsace First group.

Parties from Britain (the British National Party), Denmark, Germany and Italy were also represented at the launch of the group which has a road-sign-style crossed-out mosque as its logo.

Thirty members of the new organisation then set off on a walk around areas of Antwerp with a high immigrant population. (more here)

Nice company that Gates of Vienna, the Center for Vigilant Freedom, Brussels Journal, Fjordman, and Atlas Shrugged are running with. Will they distance themselves from the Vlaams Belang now, or are they OK with the British National Party too?

If I had to predict, I’d bet they’ll be OK with the BNP. It’s easier after the first step.

I have not and never had supported or backed the BNP. To tie me to them  because of a this latest attempt to fight the tsunami of islamisation in Europe of is dishonest and fallacious. Back in October I attended a Counter Jihad conference at the EU with Andrew Bostom, Robert Spencer, Bat Yeor, Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo, Dr. Arieh Eldad (running for Prime Minister of Israel on the Hatikvah ticket), Nidra Poller, Paul Belien, David Littman, "Friends of Orianna Fallaci (Armando Manocchio of the Italian organization Una Via per Oriana (”A Way For Oriana”) presented an award to Bat Ye’or in honor of Oriana Fallaci),  and other leading figures in the battle for the West. Filip De Winter of Vlaams Belang and the Swedish Democrats were also among the 80 or so attendees. The conference was important and necessary but that all seems to be lost on this obsession with discrediting everyone and everything at that conference because Vlaams Belang and the Swedish Democrats also attended.

I do not support the BNP . The BNP was not at the Counter Jihad Conference. I think it was incredibly stupid of Vlaams Belang to include  the British Nazi Party. They are not nationalists, they are Nazis.  I don't speak for these people. This is ridiculous. End  of story.

Yesterday politicians from several Europeans countries convened in Antwerp, the stronghold of the Flemish secessionist Vlaams Belang party, to establish the international organisation “Cities against Islamization” (CaI). Apart from the Vlaams Belang, the following three parties have joined the organisation: the FPÖ (Susanne Winter’s party, Austria), Alsace d’Abord (a regionalist party from Alsace, France) and Pro Köln (Germany).

Apparently, There are only four parties involved in the Cities against Islamization network:

1/ Vlaams Belang

2/ The Austrian Freedom Party (which is no longer Joerg Haider's party)

3/ The Alsatian regionalist party "Alsace d'Abord"

4/ The German Pro Cologne party, which is a local city party in Cologne.,

The Belgian papers (and other European MSM which I saw) do not mention the BNP at all. there is 
only one source for the BNP quote: The Australian.  Radio Netherlands does not mention this and reliable sources in Flanders deny it.These people make this up.

I am debating if this post ought to come down. Why should I spread this manure?

Several prominent blogs are at it again with accusations against various European groups. Despite what The Australian newspaper claims, the British National Party did not participate at the meeting to establish “Cities against Islamization.” They also did not participate at the Counter-Jihad Conference in October, because they carry too much baggage with them, including open anti-Semitism.

I understand, however, the deep frustration of native Brits who have to watch as their country disappears right in front of them, and have few real alternatives to turn to. If the BNP gets more support, this is only due to the failure or outright betrayal of the established parties in the UK and throughout the European Union. If the mainstream parties want to restore the public’s faith in them then they have to address their concerns, permanently end Muslim immigration, and take a long break from mass immigration in general.

Since I’m already here, I would like to ask VB’s detractors a question. They have warned against the rise of “Fascists” in Europe, but have never made any attempt to define exactly what “Fascism” is. It’s about time they did that. So what is fascism?

If they answered that, they would notice that people such as Jonah Goldberg argue that Fascism is in many ways a left-wing movement. Daniel Pipes seems to agree, and I have been arguing the same in the past. I have been advocating more free speech in Europe, less government intrusion and more checks and balances on state power, viewpoints as far removed from Fascism as humanly possible.

In contrast, the left-wing comrades of Øyvind Strømmen, the third-rate Norwegian Islam apologist who has for years written disparagingly about Oriana Fallaci, Robert Spencer, Ibn Warraq and other anti-Jihadists and is now enthusiastically linked to by some anti-Jihad blogs, are far closer to the ideals of Fascism and the all-powerful state than I am.

A Plea from Italy

The counter jihad summit in Brussels was a critical meeting of those determined to fight the islamization of Europe and the world. Those attempting to paint it in any other light have motives I do not understand. I will not stand down. I intend to fight to the last man.

There is something unholy in these attempts to destroy the counter jihad movement. There are Europeans putting their lives at stake to fight the jihad in Europe. There is something diabolical at work here. We need to build the transatlantic counter jihad movement, not destroy it. I stand with those brave souls.

The latest attack on the Islamic scholar, Bat Yeor, is beneath contempt. Eurabia--the actual vision of Islamization---was in fact promoted by Fascists on the Right and totalitarian Leftists, some of whom were Nazis, including Johannes "Omar Amin" von Leers, who actually converted to Islam. Bat Ye'or has simply reported this phenomenon. So of course to those idiots who deny the problem that makes her the problem for simply reporting it.

It's not about Nazis. It's about Islam. The real Nazis are converting to Islam.

Fjordman responsibly addresses (point by point by sometimes inane point) the rational blogosphere's most embarrassing, distressing and incomprehensible moment. Frankly, it's beneath him and everyone who has been toiling feverishly on these long dead matters, particularly when these energies are needed for far greater use.

Believing what the Eurabian establishment says is like taking the Chinese Communist Party at face value when they denounce political dissidents in China. In fact, it’s worse. Even the CCP doesn’t import millions of Muslims who attack the native population. The European Union does, in a coordinated attempt to destroy the national cultures from Italy via Belgium to Britain. The EU’s policy of deliberately Islamizing the European continent represents one of the greatest betrayals in the history of Western civilization. There is no other continent on the planet today where the indigenous peoples are being systematically deprived of their heritage, displaced in their own cities and subject to violence and abuse with the active involvement of their own authorities, yet where this is celebrated as a good thing in the media.

What we have in this controversy is the spectacle of people I love and have loved for years having a bitter falling out. I have tried to maintain good relationships with everyone involved, as I continue to believe, despite the bitterness of the controversy, that everyone involved has good intentions, good motives, good hearts. All want to resist the jihad, all want to save Europe if it can be saved. All are trying to defend what is good in Western civilization, even as they might conceive of that good in different ways.

On Racists, 'Racists,' and Harakirists Takuan Deiyo

My mother's journey through darkness would last another three years. She would be one of four people who survived the liquidation of her concentration camp, and would appear as state witness in the trial of her camp commandant –- an Austro-German devil's incarnation, complete with a people-ripping Great Dane. She would marry a Jew and remain throughout her life a philo-Semite and supporter of Israel.

It is therefore not coincidental that when hysterical, historical and cultural ignoramuses started lobbying transoceanic charges of crypto-Nazism at Vlaams Belang and The Brussels Journal, I recalled the evening when I was sitting with my mother by the telly, and the news announcer said, voice unsteady from suppressed fury, that Jörg Haider's Austrian Freedom Party had just won 27% of the vote in the 1999 Austrian elections.

My mother, old and ailing by then, looked at me and said, "Finally, some common sense in Europe."

I am no expert in modern European history, and if I were, you couldn't trust what I say anyway, for bending with the academic zeitgeist, most likely I'd be manipulating data to make whitey look bad. But as one who has the calling of writing, and is a practitioner of Zen, I am a serious student of reality.

I will not pretend, therefore, that I know much about the history of Flanders, except what every educated and still non-zombified person knows: great horses, an unjustifiably lesser slice of the Belgian pie, thwarted self-determination aspirations, and, yes, a few battalions of Waffen SS volunteers – whom, incidentally, my father did his best to kill in the frozen forests of Galicia.

So I don't need an American neocon rushing, panting with the horrific discovery that there were Nazi-sympathizers among VB's founders, or that skinheads and racists vote VB or attend VB rallies. It figures, just as it figures that among Nazi sympathizers were Finnish, Estonian and Irish patriots – the latter including the father of one of the chief fomenters of left-liberal dystopia in the Western world, US Senator Edward Kennedy.

The issue of the sympathies of VB's founders is about as relevant as was the IED the hysterical left tried to put under Arnold Schwarzenegger when he was challenging the left's political franchise in California: the Nazi sympathies of Schwarzenegger père. And the issue of some unsavory elements voting VB or attending VB rallies is the same one the American left uses to libel the Republican Party.

Simply put, the few political parties like the AFP (FPÖ, Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs, Austrian Freedom Party) in Austria, the Vlaams Belang in Belgium, the respective People's Parties in Denmark and Switzerland, the SD (Sverigedemokraterna, Swedish Democrats) in Sweden, and the unincorporated paleocons in the US are the only alternative to an across-the-board dominance of the Western world by the Western-world-hating left. So all who wish to resist the harakiri of their society and their civilization through leftist chimeras like unlimited Third World immigration, Islamization, and socialist equalization support the few parties that stand athwart the road to civilizational perdition.

It is a statistical fact that those who see the truth in these matters include a disproportionate number of the less educated, less affluent or even dispossessed whites. That stratum contains some simple minded people who look at the destruction of their societies, values, themselves, and, failing to comprehend the complex mechanism by which such disaster could have been wrought by their own kinsmen, fall for conspiracy theories, "the Jews-did-it" theories, and other such crackpotisms.

To such as recoil at the ripe odor that sometimes emanates from a congregation of the proletarian "unwashed," one may point out that those doing the destruction, ultimately slitting their own belly in the demented belief that they are improving man and reality, include a disproportionate number of the highly educated, affluent and overwashed. It was their kind too that led the penetration of the West by Communism and Bolshevik savagery

So, no, the racist tint on the fringes of VB is not the real issue. The counterjihad movement's recent collaboration with VB is not the real issue. And dragging The Brussels Journal into it is a non-issue altogether.

Even the far more objectionable, partially Nazi or neo-Nazi pedigree of parties like AFP or SD, or the anti-Israel or borderline anti-Semitic utterances of some American paleocons, are not something that ought to disqualify them from support by true conservatives as long as there are signs that they have genuinely cast off the blinders of the past. And with respect to the relevant parties, such signs are ample.

The more important issue lies elsewhere. In Europe, it lies in the conservative and anti-Eurabian position of the few right-wing parties that thwart the left's full domination of the continent. To divert attention from the magnitude and perils of this domination by hurling "Racist" and "neo-Nazi" stink bombs at the few obstacles to it is a brilliant tactic straight from Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

Mosque Building: SAVAGES VS CIVILIZED

The video shows a counterdemonstration of local Muslims. The latter, raising their fists, shout: "Fascists! Fascists!" followed by "Allah Akhbar."
The VB people across the street, behind a banner "Stop Islamisering", shout: Geen moskee in onze buurt (No mosque in our neighborhood). The only Nazis I see are the Muslims channeling the Brown Shirts.

During the Second World War, the Nazis worked on plans to build the "Amerikabomber," an airplane specially devised to fly suicide missions into Manhattan's skyscrapers.

Albert Speer, the Nazi minister for armaments, recalled in his diary: "It was almost as if [Hitler] was in a delirium when he described to us how New York would go up in flames. He imagined how the skyscrapers would turn into huge blazing torches. How they would crumble while the reflection of the flames would light the skyline against the dark sky." Hitler hated Manhattan. It was, he said, "the center of world Jewry." Less than 60 years later, Hitler's plans were executed by Muslim immigrants living in Germany. At the 2003 trial of the network around Mohamed Atta (the pilot who flew into the World Trade Center), Shahid Nickels, a German convert to Islam and a friend of Atta's, said that the Islamists had targeted Manhattan because it is "the center of world Jewry, and the world of finance and commerce controlled by it."

The parallels between Nazism and Islamism are overwhelming. Yet the subject is a taboo. When last March the German historian Matthias Kuentzel, author of "Jihad and Jew-Hatred: Islamism, Nazism and the Roots of 9/11," was to give a lecture at the University of Leeds (Britain), the university authorities cancelled the lecture after threats from Muslim students.

There is a war going on between the Jihadists and the West. We are losing the battle because, as so often in man's history, our political leaders think that they are still fighting the previous war. Europeans who warn against the danger of Islamism are considered — and sometimes even prosecuted — as xenophobes, racists, even neo-Nazis.

The European left, in league with the Islamists, is constantly reminding the Europeans of Hitler and the Nazis, accusing Europe's identity, the very core of its being, of being intrinsically evil. Hence, attempts to rob Europe of its identity are seen as "good," even when those eager to eradicate this identity leave no doubt that they will eradicate the Jews first.

Unfortunately, some American "conservatives" are also blind. Last year, Ralph Peters wrote in the New York Post that Europe's identity is stained by "ineradicable viciousness." He said that the Europeans are "world-champion haters," who have "perfected genocide and ethnic cleansing." Mr. Peters' message is similar to that of Ayyub Axel Koehler. Last June, Mr. Koehler, a convert to Islam and the chairman of the German Council of Muslims, told German church leaders that Europe should be ashamed of the "trail of blood" that it had left throughout the world down the centuries.
