For a long time I had been convinced that the dictator had been beaten down in Germany in 1945, and that democracy had won.
I was mistaken. In practice, a right-wing dictator has just been swapped for a left-wing dictator.
A National Socialist dictator was replaced by a politically correct, multi-culti dictator.
And the violence, the attempts to silence us, the smears of ‘racism’ and ‘fascism’ against respectable citizens who are opposed to the Islamisation of their town, that is unacceptable to Cologne and to Germany.
Dear friends, multiculturalism is the Islamic Trojan horse, and mass immigration has led to our European identity and civilisation being threatened, and multiculturalism has also led to the loss of our pride in our own cultural identity and uniqueness.
The Islamisation of Europe spreads further every day, yet almost no one dares to protest through fear of the intellectual and psychological terror from the Left.
Friends, Islam is like a cuckoo which lays its eggs in the European nest, and multiculturalism forces us to nurture these Islam-eggs. The eyes of the political elites will only be opened when they are pushed out of the nest.
Yes, mass immigration from the third world threatens our identity and our standard of living.
Yes, Islam wants to dominate all of Europe, and it uses mass immigration as a terrifying weapon
Yes, Islam is incompatible with many aspects of our Western European civilisation, our norms and values.
The multi-culti society in western Europe leads to cultural apartheid, to cultural ghettos where local ayatollahs are in control. In these ghettos the European norms and values are not recognised, and the locals have to suffer most of the ensuing lawlessness. Multi-culti societies are basically conflict-societies, and “multicultural” equates to “multi-conflict” and “multi-criminal”.
Friends, our misplaced tolerance is undermining our own ability to defend ourselves, and makes it impossible for us to protect ourselves against catastrophic foreign influences and domination.
The immigration-tsunami opens the gates of our continent to backwardness, poverty and under-development.
The anti-racists denounce every attempt to hold onto our own cultural identity and cultural uniqueness.
The multi-culti mindset, under the mask of equality and tolerance, is leading to the colonisation of Europe by Islam.

Friends, we find ourselves at a crossroads, either we let this situation continue which will lead to the Islamisation of Europe, to a kind of Eurabia, or we say a radical NO to radical Islam, and we make it clear to the Islamists that their ideology does not belong in Europe.
Our response should be strong, clear and aggressive, and I would like to quote the Austrian Bishop who said :

Two right-wing groups held a controversial "anti-Islam" rally in the
German city of Cologne Saturday, under massive police protection.
The
huge police presence was due potential clashes with a large
counter-demonstration of several hundred left wingers, churches, trade
unions and Greens, opposed to the anti-Muslim and inflammatory rhetoric
used by the groups.
On Friday, German judges had
banned plans by the two rightist groups to march to the proposed site
of Cologne's grand mosque, after a similar demo sparked clashes there
last September.
The two anti-Islam groups are
opposed to the building of mosques and what they see as an influx of
Muslim immigration into Germany.
The rightists
argued they had a constitutional right to hold the parade through the
heart of Cologne as part of their three-day convention and rally, but
were dismissed by the judges.
Leftist
counter-demonstrators on Saturday held banners proclaiming "Democrats
stand united against right-wing radicalism, racism and agitation."

From the early morning, there was a huge police presence across Cologne, bracing for possible violence.
For the record. I was invited and was interested in attending an anti-Islamisation rally in Cologne and said so. I was seriously considering it. It is a cause I very much believe in. I did not give my consent to publish, announce or publicize my interest or consent. I cannot go for myriad reasons both personal and professional. But understand this: I was not going in support of any group. predictably distorted
“discussion”
of yesterday’s banning of Dutch
Parliamentarian Geert Wilders
from Britain, where Wilders was slated to show his film Fitna
at the House of Lords.
Wilders,
like
Churchill
(who
wrote
that Mein Kampf was “…the new Koran of faith and war: turgid,
verbose, shapeless, but pregnant with its message”), compared the
Koran to Mein Kampf, and called it hate speech according to the Dutch
Penal Code. And as in the case of the Calcutta
Koran Petition
from the early 1980s in India, Wilders, like his Hindu predecessors
was fed up with Muslim abuse of similar Indian laws (**SEE
BELOW), and simply saying if one bans hate speech, in accord
with existing Dutch Law, then the Koran is hate speech. But the
Mendacious Little Green Craven One and His Mindless Minions, are too
blind and stupid and agenda driven to see, let alone acknowledge
this. Here is an extract from a speech Wilders gave last year on the
subject:
Madam
Speaker, the Koran is a book that incites to violence. I remind the
House that the distribution of such texts is unlawful according to
Article 132 of our Penal Code. In addition, the Koran incites to
hatred and calls for murder and mayhem. The distribution of such
texts is made punishable by Article 137(e). The Koran is therefore a
highly dangerous book; a book which is completely against our legal
order and our democratic institutions. In this light, it is an
absolute necessity that the Koran be banned for the defence and
reinforcement of our civilisation and our constitutional state. I
shall propose a second-reading motion to that effect.
Earlier
Wilders suggesed in a letter-to-the-editor in the de Volkskrant
newspaper, that again as per Dutch Law, the Koran should only
be permitted for research at an academic level."
Here
are germane extracts from my discussion
of the Calcutta Koran Petition which illustrate how it is the abuse
of hate speech laws by Muslims seeking to impose Sharia mandates on
non-Muslim majorities that is the source of the problem:

particularly successful action stands out, as described by [Sita
Ram]Goel. Two Hindus were arrested—under Indian penal code
sections exploited by Muslims to prevent public criticism of Muhammad
or other aspects of their creed—for publishing a poster

believers (Muslims) to fight against followers of other faiths…so

So long as these ayats are not removed [from the Koran], riots in the

The
ruling magistrate sided with the accused Hindus, and in dismissing
charges against them, observed,
...a close perusal
of the Ayats [verses] shows that that the same are harmful and
teach hatred, and are likely to create differences between
Mohammedans on one hand and the remaining communities on the other[emphasis added]

Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever
ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare
for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and
pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving,

they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you
taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.;

Postponement (of a sacred month) is only an excess of disbelief
whereby those who disbelieve are misled; they allow it one year and
forbid it (another) year, that they may make up the number of the
months which Allah hath hallowed, so that they allow that which Allah
hath forbidden. The evil of their deeds is made fairseeming unto
them. Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk;
(5:57) O Ye
who believe! Choose not for guardians such of those who received the
Scripture before you, and of the disbelievers, as make a jest and

not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not
the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being

Christians," We made a covenant, but they forgot a part of that
whereof they were admonished. Therefore We have stirred up enmity and
hatred among them till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will

level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake
their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then
take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend

chastise them at your hands, and He will lay them low and give you
victory over them, and He will heal the breasts of folk who are
believers.”
Whether Mr. Wilders has deliberately insulted Muslim people is for
the judges to decide. But for a man who calls for a ban on the Koran to act as
the champion of free speech is a bit rich.
Then Charles Johnson said it yesterday at the once-worthwhile site
Little Green Footballs (no link, as the adolescent Johnson has blocked links
from this site), as he continued to libel anti-jihadists with false charges of
"smelly fascist associations":
However, Wilders himself does not deserve to be called an icon of
free speech, since he explicitly wants to ban the Koran and make Islam illegal
in Europe; in other words, he wants to take away other people’s freedom of
speech and freedom of religion, and that is simply wrong. Book banning is what
totalitarians do, not believers in free speech.
Madam Speaker, I acknowledge that there are people who call
themselves Muslims and who respect our laws. My party, the Freedom
Party, has nothing against such people, of course. However, the Koran
does have something against them. For it is stated in the Koran in Sura 2, verse
85, that those believers who do not believe in everything the Koran states will
be humiliated and receive the severest punishment; which means that they will
roast in Hell. In other words, people who call themselves Muslims but who do not
believe, for example, in Sura 9, verse 30 [actually 9:29], which states that
Jews and Christians must be fought, or, for example, in Sura 5, verse 38, which
states that the hand of a thief must be cut off, such people will be humiliated
and roast in Hell. Note that it is not me who is making this up. All
this can be found in the Koran. The Koran also states that Muslims who
believe in only part of the Koran are in fact apostates, and we know what has to
happen to apostates. They have to be killed.
Then he goes on to call for consistency in the application of Dutch laws that
restrict speech that incites to violence, but which have never been applied to
the Qur'an or to the hate-filled imams who preach jihad and Islamic supremacism
in obedience to Qur'anic dictates:

In calling the Qur'an hate speech with reference to the Dutch Penal Code,
Wilders is simply asking for consistent application of the Dutch law. As Andrew Bostom points out this morning, this call for
consistency from Wilders recalls the Calcutta Quran
Petition of the 1980s: "Wilders, like his Hindu predecessors was fed up with
Muslim abuse of similar Indian laws...and simply saying if one bans hate speech,
in accord with existing Dutch Law, then the Koran is hate speech."
At the same time, however, Wilders wants restrictions on speech removed. From

Journal, February 10:
This ban also is ironic: only a week earlier, Wilders spoke up
strongly in favour of widening freedom of speech laws in Europe, writing in the
Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten. He reacted to his possible participation in a
Danish congress about islam and freedom of speech.He would if invited, he said,
'plead for a nearly 100 percent total freedom of speech. Everything should be
possible except to issue calls for violence. "All the EU laws against blasphemy
should be scrapped as soon as possible,' he said. Danish report here:see
"Everything should be possible except to issue calls for violence." Of
course, that is the key difference between what Wilders is being prosecuted for
and the Qur'an. The Qur'an issues calls to violence -- you can find long lists
of relevant verses here and here.
Wilders, by contrast, has issued no calls for violence at all, but merely
pointed out the calls for violence in the Qur'an and from Muslim preachers. The
Dutch authorities have chosen to prosecute him. They have chosen not to examine
the contents of the Qur'an or the beliefs of those who consider it to be the
eternal word of Allah, applicable for all time and in all places. It is thus
the Dutch authorities, not Wilders, who are being inconsistent.

This morning the US embassy rang the party to tell that the invitation to the VB members has been withdrawn. The VB politicians are not welcome (though the politicians from other parties are). The US embassy says the invitations to the VB were a "mistake".
Why VB? Because they fight crushing Muslim immigration? They fight the islamization of Europe. And this is Hussein's first move.

the leader of the Vlaams Belang, the members and the mandatory members of the
Foreign Affairs commission of the Senate received an invitation to witness the

he some time ago donated a house to an organization in the United States. He was
even invited to attend the taking the oath by Ronald Reagan in Washington. In
the meanwhile he has decided to go to the Embassy this afternoon with his
invitation.

Late in the afternoon Geert Wilders presented FITNA (watch the film here) for the
first time in Middle East. It was an historic moment. Most everyone in
attendance welled up and was moved, shaken........ afraid. But the very tall,
and very sure of himself Geert Wilders composed himself and with purpose set the
stage alight with his passion.

Thank you very much.
It's a privilege for me to be here in this beautiful city Jerusalem, the capitol of the only democracy in the entire Middle East. When I was a teenager I lived some years here in this city and after that I visited Israel more times than I can count. Israel: the only country in the region with a functioning parliament, a rule of law and free elections. The only country in the region that shares the values of our Western societies, in fact is one of the foundations of our Judeo-Christian identity.
We are here to voice our concern over the growing Islamisation of the West. We do this in this city, the city of David. The city that, together with Rome and Athens, symbolizes our ancient heritage.
Perhaps a few of you may be new to Jerusalem, yet, Jerusalem is not new to any of you. We all carry Jerusalem in our blood, in our genes. We all live and breathe Jerusalem. We talk Jerusalem, we dream Jerusalem. Simply because, the values of ancient Israel have become the values of the West. We are all Israel, and Israel is in all of us.
This city is the capital of a democracy under threat. Israel is under siege, like the Jewish community in the Land of Israel is under siege for over a century now. Israel with all its glory and splendour is unique, and its history unparalleled. Yet, Israel’s security situation is not unique, and neither is its enemy.
Samuel Huntington writes it so aptly: “Islam has bloody borders”. Israel is located precisely on that border. This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, just like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way of the Islamic advance. Just like West-Berlin was during the Cold War.
Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other places to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Therefore, the war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Thanks to Israeli parents who see their children go off to join the army and lie awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and have pleasant dreams, unaware of the dangers looming.
At present the front-line of jihad runs not just through the streets of Tel Aviv and Haifa, but through the streets of London, Madrid, and Amsterdam as well. Jihad is our common enemy, and we better start Facing Jihad before it is too late.
Therefore, if we voice our concern over the Islamisation of the West, we have to do it here, where our civilization borders on Islam. Where jihadists fire Qassams into civilian homes in Sderot and Ashkelon, and where a doctor like Aryeh Eldad is characteristic of our civilization by treating terrorists the same way as he treats the Israeli victims. I salute Professor Eldad for his work for humanity, and for his patriotism. And I thank him for hosting this conference in this great city. Aryeh I am proud to be your friend. I will say a few things about the Islamisation of Europe and my film Fitna. I will use some examples from the Netherlands, because they are indicative for the situation on the continent.
The mass migration to the Netherlands continues full-speed ahead. Currently, a staggering number of new immigrants arrive every year, many of them Muslim, often uneducated, if not illiterate. Bringing along with them the local customs of the mountains and deserts of backward Islamic countries. Thousands and thousands of Muslims arrive in the Netherlands every year, while already one million Muslims are living in our tiny country.
There are many problems concerning this massive influx: immigrants are overly represented in social benefits and crime statistics and the overall costs are staggering. The financial costs of mass immigration in the Netherlands exceeds 100 billion euro’s.
But what we have to fear most is the creeping Islamisation, the stealth jihad. Because every Islamic neighbourhood, every Islamic shop, every mosque, every Islamic school, every burqa, every veil is regarded by many Muslims as building blocks towards a larger goal, towards domination.
This is in fact the essence of the problem. Not crime, not even the financial burden. The biggest problem is the demographic development, and the way it influences our society at large. Immigration from Muslim countries and the demographics will result in the Eurabia that the brave Bat Ye'or is warning about. It will become reality if we don't act now. A decade and a half ago, a then unknown American politician used the following slogan in his political campaign: “it’s the economy, stupid.” From now on the motto of my party will be: “it’s demographics, dumbo”.
More than forty years ago a British politician gave a famous speech. He stated that, looking into the future, he saw ‘rivers of blood’ as a result of the uncontrolled influx of immigrants. Enoch Powell’s speech was the starting point of a debate on mass immigration in Europe. As usual, the leftist establishment labeled him an extremist and his career went down. But the British people loved him, and supported Powell. London’s dock workers took him to their hearts, marching by the thousands in support of Mr. Powell.
Looking back, I share Enoch Powell’s alarmist views on mass immigration, but ‘rivers of blood’ is not something I see happening. We will not face civil war. Our political elite is trying to make us believe that the influx of Muslim immigrants is similar to the waves of immigration that took place centuries ago. Or they say that “Christianity developed towards modernity, and therefore Islam will do the same”.
How are we to remain a democracy if a large part of the growing Muslim population is in favour of introducing sharia law? How is Amsterdam to remain the gay capitol of Europe if gays are regularly beaten up by non western immigrants, often Muslims? How are the Jewish communities of Europe to survive with a growing presence of an ideology that is so blatantly anti-Semitic? How are we to remain a centre of cultural and scientific excellence if Islam opposes art, and academic exploration? How are we to remain an open and tolerant society if we are faced with part of the Muslim community favouring self-segregation and showing no desire for assimilation? How can we look to the future with confidence, when a large part of the population turns to a seventh century desert for answers?
These are the questions the multiculturalists don’t want to answer.
Instead of providing leadership our political elite fooled us by using our own principles against us. I will give you five examples.
First. Our tolerance is used as an argument to bring in more Islam, to bring in more Muslims, and a way to tell us that we should not criticize their Islamic culture, if you do you are labeled intolerant and racist.
Second. Democracy. A growing Muslim electorate is too hard for politicians to resist, so they give in to their grievances and demands to win their vote. Before long sharia law will be introduced, legally and democratically, by means of majority vote. The former Dutch Minister of Justice once said that sharia law could be part of the Dutch legal system if a two third majority of the population would be in favour of it.
Third. Our religious freedom is utilized by an ideology that has no plans whatsoever to play by our rules, yet demands the same rights our traditional religions have had for centuries;
Fourth. Our welfare state that once was the envy of the world, now functions as a magnet for a lot of non-Western immigrants, dreaming of a cushy life in wealthy Europe.
Fifth. Our open borders came to symbolize our open mindset, an example of our cosmopolitan hospitality. But now we have lost control of our borders and we can’t even keep track of who is entering our countries, let alone prevent them from entering.
Our Western principles are hollow if they are not accompanied by a desire to sustain our culture and our civilization, based upon knowing who we are and where we come from. We are not from Saudi-Arabia. We are not from Iran. We come from Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. That makes our civilization special, and certainly worth preserving.
In spite of all that, the political elite are still madly in love with their pet project, the multicultural society, as they call it romantically. Apparently they don’t live in the neighbourhoods that are turning Islamic. They will tell you “they are nice people. I don’t see the problem?” The Muslim immigrant’s demands sound reasonably to them, like: “let us have an extra-large mosque”.
It is very difficult to remain optimistic in the face of the growing Islamisation of Europe. The tide is turning against us. We are losing on every front. Regarding the demographics, Islam is gaining momentum. The ruling elite is even proud of the Muslim immigration. After all, this way they can show everyone that they are not racists. Academia, the arts, the media, trade unions, the churches, the business world, the entire political establishment have all converted to the suicidal theory of multiculturalism and cultural relativism.
Cultural relativism is the biggest disease modern day Europe suffers from. Not all cultures are equal. Our Western culture is better than the Islamic culture. In the words of the brave Dr. Wafa Sultan: “It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality”. Indeed also here in Israel you are not fighting a territorial war, it's not about territory it's about ideology. The Islamic ideology does not seek cooperation or assimilation but aims for submission and dominance over non-Muslims. There is no moderate Islam, there will never be a moderate Islam. There might be moderate people who call themselves Muslim, but there is no moderate Islam.
Leftist journalists and leftist politicians hasten themselves to label anyone critical of the Islamisation a ‘right-wing extremist’. The entire establishment has sided with Islam. Leftists, liberals, and Christian-Democrats are now enslaved to Islam. They are Dhimmi’s. Lenin once labelled ignorant people that unknowingly aided his cause ‘useful idiots’. Well, the West is now full of these ‘useful idiots’, and they are even proud of it.
Now some words about my film Fitna.
I felt I had the moral duty to educate people about Islam and the Islamisation of Europe. The duty to make clear to everyone that the Koran stands at the heart of what some people call terrorism but is in reality jihad. I wanted to show that the problems of Islam are at the core of Islam, and do not belong to its fringes.
I have warned against the dangers of the Koran and Islam in numerous interviews, opinion articles, speeches and of course parliamentary debates, but pictures often say more than words. That is why I made Fitna.
Fitna is a documentary that shows what is being done in the name of Islam. Without placing all Muslims into the same category, I think I have succeeded in showing that the Koran is not some dusty old book, but that it is still used today as a source of inspiration for, and justification of hatred, violence and terrorism across the world.
A few weeks ago the world has once again seen what Islam is capable of. In Mumbai, jihadists separated Muslims from non-Muslims, according to a witness in a Belgian newspaper. The non-Muslims, the Kaffirs, were subsequently shot. The terrorists also went straight for the tiny Jewish centre in Mumbai, where, according to reports made to an Indian news website, they horribly tortured Jewish people before brutally murdering them.
Most of the Western media stick to naming the culprits as being members of ‘separatist movements’. In doing so, they are missing the main point and are unjustly ignoring the Islamic nature of the terror attacks. After all, if it is a conflict about borders, why are they killing Jews in Mumbai? Why, in a city of tens of millions, find the jihadists the shortest way to the only rabbi in town – in order to kill him and his wife? Why are Israel’s enemies always shouting “Allah hoe-Akbar” and “kill the Jews” if all they want is peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding? Maybe, I’m just guessing, is it because they have an ideology that tells them to kill Jews, to kill unbelievers, and to advance Islam until there is world domination. Islam, after all divides the world in a dar-al-Harb, and dar-al-Islam. Islam is a totalitarian ideology full of hate, violence and submission.
From the day the plan for my short film was made public it caused quite a stir, in the Netherlands, in Europe and across the world. First there was a political uproar, with government leaders across the continent in sheer panic. The Dutch Minister for Foreign Affairs called on me to abandon my film project. The Minister of Justice let it be known that post hoc criminal proceedings could be initiated if the movie was shown. The Dutch government investigated the possibility of having Fitna banned in advance. The Dutch branch of the Islamic organization Hizb ut-Tahrir declared that the Netherlands was due for an attack. Internationally there was a series of incidents. The Taliban threatened to organize additional attacks against Dutch troops in Afghanistan and a website linked to Al Qaeda published the message that I ought to be killed, while the Grand Mufti of Syria stated that I would be responsible for all the bloodshed after the screening of the film.
In Afghanistan and Pakistan the Dutch flag was burned on several occasions. Dolls representing me were burned as well. The Indonesian President announced that I will never be admitted into Indonesia again, while the UN Secretary General and the European Union issued statements in the same cowardly vein as those by the Dutch government. I could go on and on. It was an absolute disgrace, a sell out. It was treason to our Western principles, it was treason to freedom of speech, it was treason to liberty itself. My own government was not defending me, but became my worst enemy in the process.
Because of Fitna the State of Jordan is currently litigating against me. Jordan wants to prosecute me for blasphemy, demeaning Islam and slandering the Prophet Muhammad; violations of the Jordanian Penal Code, even though the alleged violations did not even occur in Jordan. As you all know, Jordan is a non-democratic country, without an independent or impartial judicial system and without a strongly developed civil society. According to a recent study by Human Rights Watch, torture is a routine and widespread practice in Jordan.
Jordan’s attempt to prosecute me is an infringement on the sovereignty of my country, the Netherlands. It is an infringement on freedom of speech. Jordan’s attempt is in fact a hostile act towards freedom itself.
If Jordan succeeds in prosecuting a democratically elected member of a Western parliament, what kind of precedent would that set? But its not about me. The principle is not Geert Wilders. If you look at the press and the rest of the political elite in the Netherlands, nobody cared. Nobody gived a damn. This was the worst thing. A nondemocratic country like Jordan cannot use the international or domestic legal system to silence anyone. If this starts, if we allow this, we can get rid of all parliaments, and we should close down every newspaper, and we should shut up and all pray to Mecca five times a day.
But there is some hope. For instance there is some hope with the middle class workers. Underneath the empty bravado of the elite, the middle class worker, the average Joe, is starting to realise that there is something terribly wrong with Islam. In the Netherlands, sixty percent of the population considers mass immigration to be the worst mistake since the second world war. And an equal sixty percent sees Islam as the number one threat to our national identity. But the Freedom Party is the only political party in the Dutch parliament that shares their view.
And there is hope that political parties critical about the Islamisation of the West are gaining momentum all over Europe, are getting stronger. And we will work together with common legislation, with common initiatives, perhaps even with a common group in the European parliament as defenders of the West, defenders of our culture, defenders of our identity, defenders of our freedom.
We need a new way of thinking, a new paradigm, to defend our liberties. Just reiterating our devotion to tolerance and democracy is not good enough, as we are Facing Jihad. We need a new set of goals and ideas. We need new leaders. And we should always remember where we come from. We all come from Jerusalem.
Let me wind up. The essence of my short speech today is that Europe is in the process of Islamisation, and that we need to fight it. Because if we don’t fight the Islamization we will lose everything; our cultural identity, our democracy, our rule of law, our liberties, our freedom. We have the duty to defend the ideas of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. The ancient heritage of our forefathers is under attack; we have to stand up and defend it.
A century and a half ago, on the other side of the world, a young President said exactly what I mean. This is what Abraham Lincoln said in 1862, and I leave you with that: The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise — with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country. (Abraham Lincoln, Annual Message to Congress, December 1, 1862)
It is five to twelve. Freedom must win, we have to win and we will win.
An international conference on jihad that took place in
Jerusalem on Sunday highlighted what hawkish scholars on Islam described as
"real disputes" about the nature of the problem. The event also inspired the
controversial Dutch legislator Geert Wilders to plan a European follow-up in the
coming months.
"It's time for such an event in the Netherlands," the
far-right Wilders said on the terrace of Jerusalem's Begin Center, where the
event was held. "But the cost of security would be much higher in Holland than
in Israel."
Wilders - the only one of the six speakers to receive a
standing ovation from the 600 people in the audience - told his listeners that
"as the terrorist attacks in Mumbai proved, there's no moderate Islam," and it
is time for the West to realize it is "in a conflict with the Muslim faith at
large." He sided with scholars like Haifa University's David Bukay, who averred
that "moderate Islam" does not exist and that the Koran could not be reformed or
modernized.
But
American scholar and activist Daniel Pipes disagreed. Quoting Egyptian
philosopher Hassan Hanafi, Pipes said the Koran "is like a supermarket where one
takes what one wants and leaves the rest." This freedom of selection, he argued,
provides a means for reshaping Islam.

Francis, you should know that the subject you mention was NOT explicitely covered at the conference. Geert Wilders came closest to calling for an outright ban on Islam and he received tremendous applause from the crowd. The only speaker to specifically state apologetically that he believes the problem is "Islamo-fascism" versus Islam itself was Daniel Pipes. But anyone who reads Pipe's writing should have known this already. All the other speakers did not appear to agree with Pipes, although Professor Lewis mistakenly sounded somewhat like Pipes. However, I spoke to Lewis for about 20 minutes after the conference and he clarified his staunch view against Islam. I think he will clarify his opinion in future speeches.

Eldad, who is currently with the National Union-National Religious
Party but has founded the new Hatikva Party, says he is planning to introduce a
package of emergency "anti-Islamization legislation" in the next Knesset to
"confront the enemy within and without."
The legislation would make military or civil service obligatory for both Arab
and Jewish citizens, require all citizens to declare their loyalty to Israel "as
a Jewish democratic state" as a condition for voting in national elections and
ensure punishments are meted out for illegal construction, which is rife in the
Arab sector.
"I am trying to preserve the state of Israel as a Jewish state," Eldad told

Atlas Shrugs: What’s the FREE PRESS SOCIETY doing?
Spencer: The Free Press Society is going to RAGE AGAINST OPPRESSION AND INJUSTICE, and BREAK THE STRANGLEHOLD of a dominant dogma that is never to be questioned, and STRENGTHEN WESTERN CIVILIZATION.
Hedegaard: There’s one thing you have to keep in mind. THE BASIS OF ALL OUR FREEDOMS IS THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH. If that is gone, everything is gone.
Spencer: Explain why. You have to explain why. People don’t understand it any more.
[When you have a group] that has the POWER TO RESTRICT SPEECH that descends from its perspective then you have a TYRANNY, [then] that group has hegemony over the others, then the others are MUTE -- mute and thus DEFENSELESS in the face of what they [that group] are doing. So the FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS THE CORNERSTONE OF A FREE SOCIETY, because it allows for DISSENT, which BREAKS THE BONDS OF TYRANNY.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS DESPERATELY IN DANGER TODAY IN THE WORLD, not just in America but in Europe -- perhaps even more in Europe than in America, but it’s coming here, ladies and gentlemen, its coming.
Of course I like mine better (part I and part II) but Lars Hedegaard did an excellent interview with Swedish radio and those dhimmis actually let him speak. Pig flying moment.
Here's a pearl of a pull quote. When Hedegaard is asked about "some sort of emergency plan in case something should be initiated, when your book is published. What do you think?"
Lars Hedegaard: I don’t know anything about that. When the book
is published around December 1st, it has nothing to do with the book as
such. In that case it’s something about someone in the Muslim world who
wants some attention. Then they’ll grab the opportunity to cause
trouble or burn some embassies. They can use any occasion. Any at all
will do. Be it a bird singing too loud or a honking car. Whatever.
They’ll use anything to ignite anger, so why not some book or some
drawing? I can’t take it seriously, and if the Danish embassy or Danish
diplomats in Beirut think so, they’re wrong — there’s no connection.

Citizens protest stops huge mosque in Munich
The Turkish-Islamic DITIB headquarters in Cologne will, according to
Süddeutsche Zeitung, withdraw its financing commitment for the building
of the huge mosque in Munich, because it had to deal with too many complaints
from the native citizens.
The huge Munich mosque is therefore cancelled! This has been reported by
Süddeutsche Zeitung. The main reason for the cancellation is the
withdrawal of the financing commitment of the DITIB headquarters in Cologne.
The reasons for this, according to Sueddeutsche Zeitung: “Too open, too
liberal!”
“Apparently crucial for the change of mood among the members is that the target="_blank" href="http://www.ditib.de/default.php?id=5〈=de">DITIB,
based in Cologne and coordinating nationwide more than 800 Turkish-Islamic
Associations, is becoming increasingly more critical of the project, and
declines any financing.
“According to observers at the Cologne Türkisch-Islamischen Union der Anstalt
für Religion [DITIB, Turkish-Islamic Union for the Institution of Religion],
which answers directly to the Turkish government, the Munich project became too
open and too liberal. From critics within the board it also becomes apparent
that the mosque at Gotzinger Platz [planned location in Munich] was even going
to hold prayers in the German language and wanted to intensify the dialogue
with the Christian churches.”
In addition, the chairman of the Islam-critical Pro-Köln movement, the 45-year-
old lawyer Markus Beisicht responded: “the DITIB lost their democratic and
liberal cover, and showed their true face again: Islamist through and through,
Turkish nationalist through and through. And above all, this umbrella
organization wants to establish the largest ‘splendor mosque’ of all Germany in
Cologne!
“But like the citizens of Munich, together with the citizens of Cologne we will
put a thick spoke in the wheel of the DITIB! No to the large mosque! We are
against Islamization and Turkization! Cologne should not become Istanbul! With
this motto, a demo will take place on December 24 at 11:00 am, our second
Saturday demo right in front of their headquarters on the corner of the Venloer
Straße / Innere Kanalstraße.
“And to prevent the building of huge mosques, we will also make the local
election in June 2009 a referendum on this mega-Islamizing project. Then the
Council decision on this huge mosque will be sent away immediately by the new
majorities in the City Council, just the way it came!”

I stand shoulder to shoulder with Dave and every man, woman and child who believes in taking a stand to save this great country and our precious freedoms. It is the individual that will restore this nation to its origins.

I'm one of those Christian guys who is aware of the importance of Israel, not
just in the sense of biblical prophecy, which I sort of take with a grain of
salt because it's so deliberately vague (He
doesn't want us to know TOO much, ya know? :-) but because Israel is a
great moral test for the whole world. Anybody with a functioning conscience can
see that. And as usual, the creepy and disgusting world is failing such a
test.
Aside from the USA, Israel is the only nation I know that is
founded on people accepting God and being aware of His special providence and
trying to live up to Him. (as opposed to
Islamic countries which claim this but their practice disproves their
claim.) And as far as it goes here in the States, of course, it's just
words on paper now, and some are trying to destroy the paper, even...
And I was a big fan of
Johnson until he started trashing you for no good reason. He proves my thesis
that a libertarian is not really someone in search of a morally better world,
only a freer one. It is not possible to ignore morality or dismiss it as 'not
my province' and so forth... everyone faces moral tests every day, large and
small, and Johnson fails his in this Texan's judgment.
When he does his
blowhard act about the Euro 'fascists', it shows only that he isn't fully aware
of the importance of the Jewish 'canary in a coal mine' metaphor, or the fact
that you cannot defend European democracy on its own merits because it HAS
none. :-)
I'll NEVER understand how he can be so against Islamic
creep yet so opposed to what seems like EVERYONE who is trying to stop it over
there. He's such a big "guilt by association" guy, but I don't believe 90% of
the stuff about the 'associates', because it largely comes from the MEDIA. He
should know better.
I lived in Brussels for several years recently and
can testify in person to the creeping... downtown is a big tourist area but now
you don't go there at night. The center of Brussels is one giant Moroccan
neighbourhood. Crescent and star flags hanging out of every balcony, no white
people visible, that sort of thing. I'm told there are more than a hundred
thousand Moroccans in a small area next to downtown. that's a tenth of the city
population COUNTING THE SUBURBS.
I lived in Woluwe St. Lambert, a
southeast suburb that was entirely French. Lucky for me I learned French in
school... :-) but if you want to talk about racism and cultural snobbishness,
just spend a few minutes talking to a native Vlamand and a native Wallonian...
the antipathy between French and Dutch is about to tear that country
apart.
Next time you go, take a side trip into the city for dinner, near
the Grand Place.... but be sure to wear a burka.
The alternative is a
car ride through those neighbourhoods in the daytime to see all the festive
Islamic colors. :-)

not special, not anyone to take notice of for any reason in particular... but
my eyes are open and my mind does not rest and my conscience is always looking
for the true and the Godly, and let me say from this faraway city of Irving,
Texas, that I see these things in you and that I cannot help but marvel at how

Parliament member Martin Bosma of the PVV (Party for Freedom)
thinks Islam shouldn't be considered a religion. He said that in parliament on
Thursday. "Islam is not a religion," according to Bosma.
The member of
Geert Wilders' party made his statement in a debate about religious education.
In it he agreed that religion is an important subject which should be discussed
in elementary school. According to Bosma that doesn't hold for Islam, which he
doesn't see as a religion. The PVV members didn't say in the debate what Islam
is then.
I will tell you what it is. It is an absolute political, social, military, legal, financial system of totalitarianism.
Earlier party head Wilders did give an indication to that. In
the HP/De Tijd magazine he said a year ago that "Islam is more an ideology than
a religion."
