CAIR-MD intimidating speakers at MD CAN; boosts registrations! Potamac Tea Party Report

CAIR is the Council on American Islamic Relations and Maryland has a new chapter that is making headlines in perhaps its first foray into the agitation business by attempting to intimidate elected officials and keep them from speaking at the Maryland Conservative Action Network Conference on Saturday.  Their beef is that outspoken defender of free speech, Pamela Geller, will be speaking ( ironically on the topic of defending free speech).

Here is the Maryland Gazette story from yesterday in which Del. Nic Kipke, one of four targeted elected officials on the program says he has no intention of backing out of the program.  Kipke will be speaking on Obamacare and how it will affect Maryland.

The new chairman of the Anne Arundel County House delegation said today he will attend a conservative political conference Saturday in Annapolis despite calls from a Muslim advocacy group that described a keynote speaker as a notorious “Islamaphobe.”

Del. Nic Kipke, who was elected chairman on Tuesday, called blogger and author Pamela Geller an outspoken critic of the treatment of women in some Islamic countries.

“I don’t know Ms. Geller personally,” the Pasadena Republican said. “What I do know about her is that she has pointed out gross atrocities that occur in some Muslim countries against women.”

The Maryland chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations issued a statement Tuesday calling on Kipke and other public officials to withdraw from the Maryland Conservative Action Network Conference. The Gaithersburg-based group said Geller co-founded an organization designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Former Montgomery County Del. Saqib Ali, government relations director for CAIR-MD, called his former colleague’s defense of Geller “despicable.” He said she is widely know for spreading the “most vile sort of bigotry you could imagine.”

“Everybody knows who Pam Geller is,” he said. “Sure, she criticizes people in foreign countries but her main thrust are Muslims here … She led the effort to block a Mosque in New York. She published a manual on how people can prevent mosques from being built in their neighborhoods.”

Geller responded in her internationally-read and acclaimed blog, Atlas Shrugs, with praise for Kipke, here.

Daily Beast Publishes Hamas-CAIR Operative's Whitewash of Quranic Violence

Today in the Daily Beast, the leftwing website gives a platform to treacherous deceivers in service to the supremacist goals of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic imperialism. Hypocrisy and beastly lies.

Imagine how millions of peace-loving Christians would react if they saw a subway advertisement during their morning commute showing cherry-picked Bible quotes such as “I come not to bring peace, but a sword” (Matthew 10:34) or "I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled" (Luke 12:49-51), trying to wrongfully portray Christianity as a religion of violence. I think it would be fair to say that most fair-minded Americans would be able to see right through the sinister veneer of these blatantly ridiculous advertisements. Now imagine that we are talking about Islam instead of Christianity.

Well, how would "millions of peace-loving Christians" feel? They would probably know that neither one of those verses is being taken by Christians today as a call to do violence to unbelievers. They would almost certainly know that there are no Christians anywhere in the world who are quoting New Testament (or Old Testament) verses to justify acts of violence against non-Christians. They would, if they were devout Christians, think back on what their priest or pastor might have said about such verses: that they were about putting Gd first and the divine judgment -- no Christian leaders say that these verses mean that Christians should take up arms against non-Christians.

Contrast that to the quran verse that Arsalan Iftikhar of Hamas-CAIR says is "cherry-picked": "Soon shall we strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers" (3:151). There have been over 20,o00 Islamic terror attacks around the world since 9/11 (how many Christian terror attacks in that span?). Each one had the imprimatur of a Muslim cleric. Each one was justified by its perpetrators by this and other quran verses. If I am cherry-picking, so are the Muslims who are motivated by the quran to commit acts of violence against non-Muslims. But Arsalan Iftikhar, former National Legal Director of the Hamas-tied Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), doesn't have anything to say to them when they quote quran. He is only upset with me when I do.

Controversial anti-Muslim blogger Pamela Geller has just purchased new advertising space in several subway stations in the New York area so she can display her newest anti-Islam message. According to The New York Observer, Geller’s latest slate of anti-Islam ads seem to “feature a panorama of the sky the moment the World Trade Center burst into flames [on September 11], accompanied by a quote from the Quran that reads ‘Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers.’” Geller is no stranger to Islamophobia.

Geller is clearly trying to cherry-pick a verse of the Quran out of context in order to stoke anti-Muslim fears amongst ordinary Americans. First of all, her cherry-picked quote from Quran 3:151 above actually refers to the famous Battle of Badr, where the Prophet Muhammad had to defeat back attacking pagan Arab idolaters. Most importantly, this verse (and most other verses dealing with historical battles) refer to hostile pagan idolaters who attacked Muslims and they do not refer to Christians or Jews (who are referred to as “People of the Book” or Ahl Al-Kitab in Arabic) who all believe in the same monotheistic god of Abraham as Muslims believe.

This pseudo-analysis bamboozles many Americans, but think about it: Iftikhar, like many Islamic apologists, would have us believe that the quran's passages referring to warfare against unbelievers are limited to one long-gone historical context, and don't apply to modern times or modern non-Muslims. The obvious hole in this argument is that Muslims are using such verses to wage war against unbelievers today. And no Muslims are telling the Muslims who are waging jihad against unbelievers around the world today that the verses of the quran that they think command them to do so actually only refer to warfare against "hostile pagan idolaters" of the seventh century -- least of all is Hamas-CAIR's Arsalan Iftikhar telling them this.

Geller recently came to many Americans’ attention in September 2012 when she bought her first round of anti-Muslim subway ads which stated, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad." The controversial advertisements were roundly condemned by most people around the country, including by prominent national Jewish organizations who were quick to call out her Islamophobia. 

To those like Geller who think that Islam is more of an ‘inherently violent’ religion than other major world religions, Professor Philip Jenkins, author of the book Jesus Wars, once said during a March 2010 interview with National Public Radio (NPR) that, "By the standards of the time, which is the 7th century A.D., the laws of war that are laid down by the Quran are actually reasonably humane." He continued: "Then we turn to the Bible, and we actually find something that is for many people a real surprise. There is a specific kind of warfare laid down in the Bible which we can only call genocide." Professor Jenkins even went so far as saying during his March 2010 NPR interview that, "Much to my surprise, the Islamic scriptures in the Quran were actually far less bloody and less violent than those in the Bible."

Yet quran-quoting Muslims are bloody and violent today. Bible-quoting Christians are not. Robert Spencer explains why here. "Jenkins completely ignores the fact that it was Jewish and Christian principles involving the dignity of the human person as made in the image of God that led to the spiritualizing of violent passages... In Islam, by contrast, there is such a sharp dichotomy between the believer and the unbeliever (cf. Qur'an 48:29, which tells the Muslim to behave mercifully to fellow believers, but harshly to unbelievers), that the spiritualizing of violent Qur'anic passages has never taken place."

But none of us should cherry-pick. Our holy books all have plenty of messages of tolerance, which we should use to help bring people together and not let fear-mongering bigots like Geller rip us apart as a nation.

Arsalan Iftikhar's hypocrisy is fully revealed in this. He denounces me, but never has a word to say about the real hate and violence emanating from Islamic jihadists. It is they he wants to enable.

The slaughter, Jew-hatred, ethnic cleansing, misogyny, child trafficking ...... is met with silence. Silence is sanction.

I didn't choose those quranic quotes, the jihadists did.

Hamas-CAIR's mythical manufactured media narrative: "Muslims May Decide Who Becomes President"

Hamas-CAIR is a subversive Muslim Brotherhood group implicated in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation's history, and is (according to the US government) "operating in concert with a host of individuals and organizations dedicated to sustaining and furthering the Hamas movement. ... The object of the conspiracy was to support Hamas. The support will be shown to have take several forms, including raising money, propaganda, proselytizing, recruiting, as well as many other types of actions intended to continue to promote and move forward Hamas's agenda of the destruction of the State of Israel and establishment of an Islamic state in its place."

The international Muslim Brotherhood ordered the Muslim Brotherhood chapters throughout the world to create Palestine Committees, whose job it was to support Hamas with "media, money and men." (more here)

American-Muslims  are not even remotely close to deciding the election, but this is consistient with their supremacist ideology and delusions of domination. This is false. They kill two kufar with one stone creating this piece of fiction mosquerading as news - they create/inflate the power of American Muslims while scaring already timid and weak politicians into submission.

American Muslims May Decide Who Becomes President

In this close election, it is a small voting bloc that will decide the outcome. On November 6, American Muslims are in a position to determine which presidential candidate will win in key swing states such as Ohio, Virginia and Florida.

A recent survey of registered Muslim voters, conducted by an independent research firm for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), indicates that some 25 percent of Muslim voters are still undecided about who to vote for in the presidential election and are therefore still open to appeals from the candidates.

CAIR’s survey also shows that American Muslims are engaged in the political process, with more than 90 percent of Muslim voters saying they will go to the polls on election day. Of those polled, 68 percent said they will vote to re-elect President Obama and seven percent said they will vote for Mitt Romney.

Like many other Americans, the top five issues of importance to American Muslim voters are jobs and the economy, education, health care policy, Medicare and Social Security, and civil rights.

The percentage of those who said they are closer to the Democratic Party grew from 49 percent in a similar poll taken in 2008 to 66 percent today. Almost half of respondents said that the Democratic Party was friendly towards Muslims.

Muslim voters are very concerned about the rising level of Islamophobia within American society and with the promotion and exploitation of Islamophobia within the Republican Party. More than half of CAIR survey respondents say that the Republican Party is unfriendly toward Muslims.

As was evident from the third presidential debate, Mitt Romney's hostile view of the Muslim and Arab world makes American Muslims voters anxious about a possible repeat of George W. Bush’s counterproductive foreign policies. Romney’s ideological approach to foreign policy does not inspire confidence in the establishment of more productive relations with the Muslim world.

Because of their knowledge and understanding of international issues, American Muslims also care about foreign policies such as democracy in the Muslim world and peace and justice for the Palestinians.

Sixty-eight percent of respondents to CAIR’s survey say the U.S. should provide support to those fighting for freedom in Syria and 76 percent say the U.S. and NATO made the right decision by intervening in the Libyan revolution.

The majority of American Muslims will likely vote for President Obama, but not as enthusiastically as they did in 2008. They are clearly not happy with the continued erosion of Muslim civil liberties, the most egregious example of which was the widespread spying on Muslim students, shopkeepers, schools, and mosques by the New York Police Department in cooperation with the CIA.

There is relief that the unjustified war on Iraq was ended by President Obama, but also concern that the escalation of military action in Afghanistan caused more harm than benefit. And American Muslims are not alone in opposing the drone attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan that have claimed so many innocent civilian lives.

A number of surveys have shown that Muslim voters are religiously diverse, well integrated in American society, politically active, and support candidates of any party who address their concerns.

In the 2000 election, Muslims voted overwhelmingly for George W. Bush, in part because of his public stand against the use of secret evidence in the nation's courts. In 2004, Muslims concerned about the erosion of civil rights in the post-9/11 era voted for Sen. John Kerry. In 2008, almost 90 percent of American Muslim voters picked Barack Obama.

It is this willingness to swing between parties that makes Muslim voters so important in close elections.

In the end, American Muslim voters will look at the overall picture of the future under either one of the major candidates and will then they make a decision about who to vote for. But the lack of engagement with American Muslims by the candidates may very well cost one of them the presidency.

The fact that more than 90 percent of registered Muslim voters intend to go to the polls on November 6 clearly shows that Muslims are among the most politically-engaged of all Americans.

What is most disturbing about the latest evidence to emerge from my DoJ FIOA (Freedom of Information ACT) request is not just the strategy of Muslim Brotherhood groups (ie CAIR, ISNA, MSA, et al) for stealth infiltration and overthrow of the US government, but the success they have achieved -- the level of access, infiltration and influence in the highest level of government and media.

During the course of the HLF trial, many incriminating documents were entered into evidence. Perhaps the most significant of these was "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," employing US Muslim Brotherhood ....

groups that could help convince Muslims "that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands ... so that ... God's religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions."

These groups (CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, et al) were identified in the US government's case against Islamic terror funding "charities"  as "participants in a network of U.S.-based organizations affiliated with the designated foreign terrorist organization."

At the end of the document, the memorandum lists those Muslim Brotherhood organizations that – if they all worked together – could help accomplish this grand objective. These organizations include ISNA, NAIT, the Occupied Land Fund (OLF )(the former name of the Holy Land Foundation), the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), and others. Id.

ISNA and NAIT, in fact, shared more with HLF than just a parent organization. They were intimately connected with the HLF and its assigned task of providing financial support to HAMAS. Shortly after HAMAS was founded in 1987, as an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood, Govt. Exh. 21-61, the International Muslim Brotherhood ordered the Muslim Brotherhood chapters throughout the world to create Palestine Committees, whose job it was to support HAMAS with “media, money and men.” Govt. Exh. 3-15.

The U.S.-Muslim Brotherhood created the U.S. Palestine Committee, which documents reflect was initially comprised of three organizations: the OLF (HLF), the IAP, and the UASR. CAIR was later added to these organizations. Govt. Exh. 3-78 (listing IAP, HLF, UASR and CAIR as part of the Palestine Committee, and stating that there is “[n]o doubt America is the ideal location to train the necessary resources to support the Movement worldwide . . .”). The mandate of these organizations, per the International Muslim Brotherhood, was to support HAMAS, and the HLF’s particular role was to raise money to support HAMAS’ organizations inside the Palestinian territories. Govt. Exh. 3- 17 (objective of the Palestine Committee is to support HAMAS).

Why It Should Always Be Called 'Hamas-CAIR' Pamela Geller, American Thinker

Last Monday, the Supreme Court declined to hear appeals from the Holy Land Five: five former officials of what was once the largest Islamic charity in the United States, the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), who were convicted of funneling millions in charitable donations to the jihad terror group Hamas.  That effectively ends the story of the Holy Land Foundation, but since many of its co-conspirators are still active, notably the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the case is worth revisiting.

In 2008, the U.S. government filed a memorandum in opposition to the request from two of the groups linked to the HLF, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), that the "unindicted co-conspirator" designation they received during the HLF trial be removed (it wasn't).  The memorandum is a useful and illuminating summary of what some of the most prominent Islamic groups in the U.S. have been involved with.

It noted that some of HLF's top officials, including Shukri Abu Baker, its secretary and chief executive officer; Mohammed El-Mezain, its director of endowments; and Ghassan Elashi, its chairman of the board, were charged with "providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization," as well as with "engaging in prohibited financial transactions with a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, money laundering, filing false tax returns, and several conspiracy charges, including: conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization...conspiracy to provide funds, goods and services to Specially Designated Global Terrorist ... and conspiracy to commit money laundering[.]"

And the HLF officials "were not acting alone."  Rather, they were "operating in concert with a host of individuals and organizations dedicated to sustaining and furthering the Hamas movement. ... The object of the conspiracy was to support Hamas. The support will be shown to have take several forms, including raising money, propaganda, proselytizing, recruiting, as well as many other types of actions intended to continue to promote and move forward Hamas's agenda of the destruction of the State of Israel and establishment of an Islamic state in its place."

ISNA and NAIT were among the groups listed as "members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood."  During the trial, the government introduced evidence "expressly linking ISNA and NAIT to the HLF and its principals; the Islamic Association for Palestine and its principals; the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States and its Palestine Committee, headed by Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzook; and the greater Hamas-affiliated conspiracy described in the Government's case-in-chief."  The Islamic Association for Palestine, since shut down as a Hamas front, is CAIR's parent organization.

The evidence introduced at the trial "established that ISNA and NAIT were among those organizations created by the U.S.-Muslim Brotherhood."  They were listed as among those organizations dedicated to the Muslim Brotherhood's stated goal, according to a captured internal document made public during the HLF trial, of "eliminating and destroying the Western Civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over other religions."

The government memorandum explains that ISNA and NAIT "shared more with HLF than just a parent organization. They were intimately connected with the HLF and its assigned task of providing financial support to Hamas. Shortly after Hamas was founded in 1987, as an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood, Govt. Exh. 21-61, the International Muslim Brotherhood ordered the Muslim Brotherhood chapters throughout the world to create Palestine Committees, whose job it was to support Hamas with 'media, money and men.'"  To accomplish this, the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.S. created the U.S. Palestine Committee, which CAIR later joined.  "The mandate of these organizations, per the International Muslim Brotherhood, was to support Hamas, and the HLF's particular role was to raise money to support Hamas'z organizations inside the Palestinian territories."

The memorandum adds that "during the early years of the HLF's operation, HLF raised money and supported Hamas through a bank account it held with ISNA at NAIT" and that "ISNA checks deposited into the ISNA/NAIT account for the HLF were often made payable to 'the Palestinian Mujahadeen,' the original name for the Hamas military wing."  That is, the money went to Islamic jihadists dedicated to murdering Israeli civilians.

Despite all this, the Holy Land Five have become the latest darlings of the America-hating left and their Islamic supremacist allies in the U.S.  Al-Awda, the "Palestine Right to Return Coalition," held a demonstration on October 25, four days before the Supreme Court ruling, in honor of these jihadists, and called them "victims to the ever-growing over-reach of counter-terrorism programs."

More dissembling, dawah and taqiyya from Hamas in America -- CAIR. Hamas-CAIR is panicking that people are waking up and questioning the jihadic doctrine, inspired by our wildly successful ad campaign.

There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman.  These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them. 

The Hamas-CAIR is using some of the millions they receive from Islamic supremacist countries and buying a taqiyya-based (deceiving to advance islam) ad to proselytize and sanction the jihad that has led to the deaths of millions.

Islamic scholar Ibn Warraq, on abrogation page 115,Why I am Not a Muslim:

"Now we see how useful and convenient the doctrine of abrogation is in bailing scholars out of difficulties. Of course, it does pose a problem for apologists of Islam, since all the passages preaching tolerance are found in the Meccan, i.e., early suras, and all the passages recommending killing, decapitating, and maiming are Median, i.e., later: "tolerance" has been abrogated by "intolerance." For example, the famous verse at Sura 9.5, "Slay the idolaters wherever you find them," is said to have canceled 124 verses that dictate tolerance and patience." and... Ibn Warraq, page 11,Why I am Not a Muslim: The term "Islamic fundenentalist" is in itself inappropriate, for there is a vast difference between Christianity and Islam. Most Christians have moved away from the literal interpertation of the Bible; for most of them, "it ain't necessaraly so." Thus we can legitmately distinguish between fundamentalist and nonfundamentalist Christians. But Muslims have not moved away from the literal interpretaion of the Koran; all Muslims-not just a group we have called "fundamentalist"-believe that the Koran is literally the word of God."

 Muslim Brotherhood-tied CAIR: Muslim Advocacy Launches Its Own Metro Ad Campaign

WASHINGTON, Oct. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today unveiled an advertising campaign designed to counter anti-Muslim "savage" advertisements sponsored by a designated hate group that are now on display in Washington, D.C., metro stations.

CAIR's counter ads feature a verse from the Quran stating: "Show forgiveness, speak for justice and avoid the ignorant." (The Holy Quran, 7:199) The CAIR 16-foot banner ads, which are scheduled to go up next week and stay up for a month in stations featuring the hate ads (Glenmont, Georgia Avenue/Petworth and U Street), also direct metro riders to the organization's "Explore the Quran" initiative.

"We hope to expand this anti-hate campaign in the nation's capital and throughout the nation," said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. "We need the community's help to challenge the growing propaganda campaign of anti-Muslim hate in our society with positive messages of what Islam is and who we really are."

He added that other groups are placing ads designed to counter Pamela Geller's hate campaign and welcomed their clear rejection of hate.

ABROGATED 7:199 explained in the Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs:

(Keep to forgiveness (O Muhammad)) take the surplus of your family and dependents. But this was abrogated.

So it's null and void. It is also said that this means: forgive the one who transgresses against you, and give to him who withholds from you and keep ties with him who severs his ties with you, (and enjoin kindness) and benevolence, (and turn away from the ignorant) Abu Jahl and his folk who mock you.

The concept of "abrogation" in the Quran is that Allah chose to reveal ayat (singular ayah – means a sign or miracle, commonly a verse in the Quran) that supercede earlier ayat in the same Quran. The central ayah that deals with abrogation is Surah 2:106:

None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?

The Qur'an is unique among sacred scriptures in accepting a doctrine of abrogation in which later pronouncements of the Prophet declare null and void his earlier pronouncements.[9] Four verses in the Qu'ran acknowledge or justify abrogation:

• When we cancel a message, or throw it into oblivion, we replace it with one better or one similar. Do you not know that God has power over all things?[10]
• When we replace a message with another, and God knows best what he reveals, they say: You have made it up. Yet, most of them do not know.[11]
• God abrogates or confirms whatsoever he will, for he has with him the Book of the Books.[12]
• If we pleased, we could take away what we have revealed to you. Then you will not find anyone to plead for it with us.[13]

Rather than explain away inconsistencies in passages regulating the Muslim community, many jurists acknowledge the differences but accept that latter verses trump earlier verses.[14] Most scholars divide the Qur'an into verses revealed by Muhammad in Mecca when his community of followers was weak and more inclined to compromise, and those revealed in Medina, where Muhammad's strength grew.

Following are excerpts from an interview with CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on September 5, 2012.

Reporter: Mr. Awad, let's first talk about the Democrats' removal of the sentence "Jerusalem is the capital of Israel" from their political platform. What significance do you attribute to this omission?

Nihad Awad: This is an indication that the Democratic Party's political platform with regard to the Middle East is developing. However, this does not digress from the usual commitment of both the Democratic and Republican parties to deal with Israel the same way as in the past. This reflects a development in the ideology of the cadres of the Democratic Party, some of which are new generations of American Jews who different from their parents and believe in peace and coexistence. The changes in the Middle East and the rise of new governments seem to be changing the rules of the game and the cadres of the Democratic Party appreciate that.

Father of Muslim terrorist pleads with FLA School Board to Ban CAIR from Schools

The Hillsborough school parents continue fighting against Hamas-CAIR Tampa proselytizing in Florida public schools  Once again, the parents of students in the Hillsborough School District have fiercely expressed their disapproval that faculty invited the political organization, Hamas-CAIR, to address their students without providing a pro-freedom counter voice to their jihadist message. Back in December 2011 I broke the story that Hamas-linked CAIR was talking to high school students. Co-conspirators in the largest terror funding trial in our nation's history were subjecting students to indoctrination and propaganda. That is child abuse. There were no counter voices or voices of freedom.

Although it presents itself as a civil rights group, CAIR actually has numerous links to Islamic supremacist and jihad terror groups. CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR's executive director) were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East. CAIR has steadfastly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.

Hamas-CAIR was one of the many Islamic groups that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas jihad funding trial. They are in the top five AFDI Threats to Freedom Index.

According to Kelly Miliziano (history teacher at Steinbrenner High School), she "regularly asks" Hassan Shibly of CAIR to speak. Shibly has a track record of defending jihad terrorist groups and acting as an apologist for the worldwide jihad and Islamic supremacism. Ms. Miliziano's refusal to respond to parents' requests to vet the notorious Mr. Shibly, and instead attack the parents, should be grounds for her immediate dismissal. Ms. Miliziano further went on to call parents' concerns about CAIR "baseless and Islamophobic." Following the 2006 Israel-Lebanon War, Shibly granted legitimacy to Hezb'allah by characterizing it as a "resistance movement" that provides valued social services to the Lebanese people. "They're absolutely not a terrorist organization," Shibly said, and "any war against them is illegitimate" -- here). Read the rest at The American Thinker.

The problem with that is that Shibly is a political speaker. A Hindu priest or Christian pastor won’t counter the poisonous propaganda that Shibly spews to our impressionable young minds. An informed counter-jihad speaker such as Robert Spencer, Nonie Darwish, Wafa Sultan or I myself must be given a chance to speak, so as to counter the lies of Hamas-tied CAIR.

Hamas-linked CAIR should not be speaking at all, but if the public school shills insist on presenting jihadi views, they must provide freedom lovers with the same opportunity. Further, political speakers should be off limits on school grounds.

In January 2012, I ran a firsthand account of one parent whose child had been subjected to this school-mandated child abuse. The outraged parent body addressed the issue at the last school board meeting, where school board chairwoman Candy Olson ignored parent's concerns. She should be replaced as soon as possible. These are our children. If this tool is unaware of Hamas-CAIR's history, she poses a danger to our children.

Yesterday, parents raised the issue again.The parents are not backing down. Bravo! This best demonstrates why you must get involved and run for school board and other local political committee seats. The Dems have known this for years. and they have stacked the deck against patriots and freedom lovers. The whole Hillsborough school board should be thrown out. Run for these seats. Father of Terrorist….Pleads with School Board to Ban CAIR from Schools!

For over seven (7) months literally hundreds of parents have been voicing concerns and requesting a formal policy to ban Hassan Shibly, CAIR, or members of the Muslim Brotherhood from their schools.  With the exception of Dr. Stacy White, these request have fallen on deaf ears.

After hearing about the controversy over CAIR speaking in the Tampa Public School System, Melvin Bledsoe, father of convicted homegrown terrorist Carlos Bledsoe aka Abdulhakim Muhammad, flew from Memphis Tennessee to have his three (3) minutes to address the school board and voice his concerns.  He shared first hand grief over losing his son to Islamic indoctrination and radicalization while he attended Tennessee State University.  Mr. Bledsoe said it happened “bit by bit… a process if you will…using the “Soft” approach initially”.

Hillsborough County School Board Chair and Vice-Chair, Candy Olson and April Griffin have maintained a position of arrogance and at times hostility toward those who oppose CAIR in the classroom.  During past meetings, Candy Olson, arrogantly dismissed the dangers of lawyer Hassan Shibly speaking in the classroom because Hillsborough students were too smart to be indoctrinated  and Vice Chair April Griffin said “I resent having this conversation in the first place….. I don’t want to craft a policy based on bullying…..based on people who don’t like the way we do things.”  By “People” one can only assume Mrs. Griffin is talking about parents…those she was elected to represent.
