BAGHDAD, IRAQ (ANS) -- Earlier reports that Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is dead are now being refuted by sources in Iran who have made contact with the persecuted pastor and who say he is 'alive and well.'

Thank Gd. The death notice came from Islamic leaders, so it is in itself an implied threat.

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (ANS) -- Mystery now surrounds earlier news that Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is dead. Earlier today, an Anglican vicar in Iraq said that Iranian Pastor Youssef Nadarkhani was dead. The vicar said reports and pictures existed of Nadarkhani’s fate.

Writing on his Facebook page today (Thursday, March 7), Canon Andrew White, who serves St. George’s Church in Baghdad, said he was meeting with Muslim leaders today and came home to the news of Nadarkhani’s death.

At the time this story first went to press, the news had not been independently confirmed or verified.

While two independent ministries, both working in the region, had no working knowledge of the claim, Jason DeMars of www.Presenttruthm.com , told ANS late this evening, “Youcef is alive and he is doing fine.”

The original information about the status of Pastor Nadarkhani came from Canon White who wrote: “A truly wonderful day with my dear, dear friend the Grand Ayatollah Hossain Al Sader. With us were many of the other Islamic leaders. We spent 4 hours together had lunch and talked about the Almighty and His love that unites us.

If the Pastor is indeed alive, he and his family should be secreted out of the Islamic Republic of terror with the help of the US government.

Last summer, our organization AFDI and SIOA held a Human Rights vigil for Pastor Youcef, during which fifteen former Muslims came to share their harrowing stories of their escape from Islam and the sharia.

Of course the enemedia didn't deign to report on the unprecedented event -- because it might reflect badly on jihad and sharia. The Pastor's crime? Apostasy. He refused to renounce Christianity, and under Islam, leaving Islam is punishable by death. The evangelical pastor in Iran had been killed. He had been sentenced to death many months ago. We organized this SRO conference to raise awareness of the Pastor's plight and the plight of non-Muslims living in Muslim countries.

All the schools of Islamic law, without exception, mandate death for those who leave Islam. We dedicated the Town Hall to Pastor Youcef because he was in imminent danger of being murdered for his beliefs, and we invited numerous apostates from Islam to speak about the death sentence they must live under every moment because they have dared to leave Islam. We called upon Muslims in the USA to stand up for Pastor Youcef and other victims of Islam’s apostasy law. Under the guise of ‘civil rights,’  subversive Hamas-groups like CAIR, ICNA, ISNA, MSA, MSU et al seek to undermine the unalienable rights guaranteed to every individual under the Constitution. Their ruse must be exposed, their Sharia agenda renounced.

And Pastor Youcef is believed dead. It appears his release from prison was a deliberate plan so that Islamic supremacists could act in accordance with the brutal sharia away from the eyes of the world.  

It is Obama's silence and sanction that paves the way for these monstrous crimes. Despite the plaintive cries from vicitms the world over, President Obama has gone so far as to remove the sections covering religious freedom and religious peresecton from the Country Reports on Human Rights that the State department releases.

With an unprecedented and unexpected turnout, freedom-lovers thronged to the Marriott Manhattan Beach AFDI/SIOA "Summer Night for Human Rights" town hall, as a standing-room-only crowd heard some of the world's most courageous and unheralded voices for freedom speak up for the human rights of Muslim apostates and all those victimized by Sharia.

As Hamas-CAIR held its "Islamophobia" hate propaganda fest right down the street, which we understand was sparsely attended by an decidedly unenthusiastic and dutiful crowd (probably largely there on orders), our joy-filled and happy army of warriors called them out on their hypocrisy and deceit. Where is Hamas-CAIR, where is the ACLU, where are the international human rights organizations, on the rights of those who wish to leave Islam? Their silence is deafening, and monstrous. And it falls to us to speak out.

Lovers of freedom and patriots were riveted by the humble testimony of former Muslims who were finally given the platform they deserve in order to tell their stories. Speakers included world-renowned, unsung and unknown heroes who faced enormous hardship and alienation and danger. Another was stabbed multiple times and almost killed. And that was par for the course in his native "moderate" Morocco. He was saved by our AFDI/SIOA "Leaving Islam" bus ad, which he saw on a New York City street and was amazed that someone was articulating his own plight: he wanted to leave Islam, but there was a fatwa on his head, and he had nowhere to go. He found help by following up the contact info on the ad.

One after another they spoke: the moving Amani Mustafa, the erudite Ibn Warraq, the riveting Walid Shoebat, and so many others. Some were choking back tears, some inarticulate and struggling with the language but deeply compelling in their staunch commitment to the truth. Some of these ex-Muslims had never been given the opportunity to speak before. They struggled with their emotions as much as with their words, but were all the more powerful for their depth and sincerity -- and they were grateful for the opportunity to finally be heard and to say the words that in any Muslim country would have gotten them killed immediately. All spoke with the same voice, all enunciated the same message, the same pressing warning to clueless and freedom-assuming Americans -- Americans who are greeting the devil at the door with a welcoming martini.

Geller: Thank you, Jamie.

FP: I would like to talk to you today about your conference coming up on July 23,  “A Summer Night for Human Rights.” Tell us about it.

Geller: Jamie, my organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) and its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program, along with Former Muslims United (FMU), will be hosting the first-ever “Summer Night for Human Rights” Town Hall on June 23 in Manhattan Beach, California, from 6PM to 9PM, to defend the freedom of conscience and the rights of Muslim apostates.

FP: This event is connected to the Iranian pastor who has been sentenced to death for converting to Christianity, right?

Geller: That’s right, Jamie. It’s dedicated to Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who has been sentenced to death in Iran for leaving Islam. Nadarkhani is a Christian pastor who is on death row in Iran for converting from Islam to Christianity – Islamic law commands that anyone who leaves Islam be put to death. All the schools of Islamic law, without exception, mandate death for those who leave Islam.

FP: And you intend to draw attention to that?

Geller: Yes, Jamie. We’ve dedicated our Summer Night for Human Rights to Pastor Youcef, and we’ve invited numerous apostates from Islam to speak about the death sentence they must live under every moment because they have dared to leave Islam. The event will feature Muslim apostates from around the world, and call upon Muslims in the U.S. and the world human rights community to defend their right to change their religion or have no religion at all, and to denounce the Sharia that mandates such punishment.

FP: Aside from a few brave voices like yours, Robert Spencer’s, Nonie Darwish’s David Horowitz’s, etc., there is very little defense of apostates from Islam.

Geller: That’s true. They live their entire lives under a death sentence, but there is total indifference to their plight from human rights organizations. Yet this is an international human-rights issue. Apostates from Islam have rights, too. The freedom of conscience is specifically protected in the U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Yet apostates are completely forgotten in our politically correct culture, in which speech that is offensive to Islam is increasingly forbidden. This is the Shariah. Criticism of Islam is punishable by death.

That’s why we have to stand for the human rights of people like Youcef Nadarkhani.

FP: Who is speaking at your event?

Geller: Robert Spencer and I are hosting the event, along with Nonie Darwish, the ex-Muslim freedom fighter. NEW YORK, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The first session of the International Freedom Defense Congress, the operating body of the human rights organization Stop Islamization of Nations (SION), will be held in New York on September 11, 2012. The principal focus of the Congress will be a media workshop pertaining to Islamic supremacist attempts to restrict the freedom of speech in the free world, and the smear campaigns against freedom fighters in newspapers and media institutions in the West.

"The objective of this first-of-its-kind workshop is to develop media-related mechanisms to address the smear campaigns," SION said in a statement. It will also address the media's double standard regarding Islam and other religions, as epitomized in March 2012 by the New York Times' running of an anti-Catholic smear ad and rejection of an SION ad telling the truth about Islamic jihad.

Freedom fighters from all over the globe, journalists, intellectuals and academicians will be among the participants in the workshop, which will consist of brainstorming sessions to develop mechanisms for cooperation with external partners, and to develop an action plan to address the phenomenon of the Islamic war against free speech.

The organisation noted that the workshop is of particular importance as it is the first ever to address the implications of Resolution 16/18 of the United Nations Human Rights Council, the stated goal of which is to "combat intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatisation of discrimination, incitement to violence, and violence against persons based on religion or belief," but which is actually designed to restrict truthful speech about Islamic supremacism and jihad, so as to render the West mute and defenseless before the advancing threat of jihad and Sharia.

Resolution 16/18, which was adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva in March 2011, was backed by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the most recent Istanbul Process Conference in Washington in December.

This is widely viewed as a significant step toward furthering in OIC efforts to destroy the freedom of speech and impose Sharia blasphemy laws on the free world.

The others on the bill include Amir Suleiman, a “spoken word poet,” and a rapper who calls himself “Omar Offendum” (“as featured on al-Jazeera,” Hamas-tied CAIR’s poster says, touting terror TV).

One name you can be sure won’t get mentioned while these Islamic supremacists weep and moan about the supposed mistreatment of Muslims in America is that of Youcef Nadarkhani. That’s because Nadarkhani is not a Muslim victim; instead, he is one of millions of victims of Islam. Nadarkhani is a Christian pastor who is on death row in Iran for converting from Islam to Christianity – Islamic law commands that anyone who leaves Islam be put to death. All the schools of Islamic law, without exception, mandate death for those who leave Islam.

This is an international human-rights issue. What about civil rights for Pastor Youcef and other Muslim apostates in danger of death? You won’t hear a word about them from Hamas-tied CAIR. Ever. Why? Stop Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani’s Death Sentence (ACLJ)

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani faces the death penalty in Iran because of his Christian beliefs and his refusal to embrace Islam. Now, the Iranian regime has decided to punish Pastor Youcef’s attorney for his work on human rights. Pastor Youcef’s attorney is about to face a lengthy prison term.
