The Muslims who are "working with" law enforcement present a special problem. It is in their doctrine that good Muslims, pious Muslims, lie, deceive to advance Islam, institute sharia, take over non-Muslim lands.
The New York imam working with law enforcement on the biggest bust in the US since 911 illustrates just how difficult the problem is. Imam Afzali, a permanent legal resident from Afghanistan, is accused of
lying to the FBI after he allegedly tipped off terror suspect Najibullah Zazi, 24.
The Queens imam is charged with lying to federal authorities investigating an alleged terror conspiracy. His family posted a $1.5-million bail.
Zazi was charged Thursday with one count of conspiring with others, who are not named, to use "one or more weapons of mass destruction," court papers say, including bombs or other explosives. Zazi's father, Mohammed Zazi, 53, also of Aurora, also was arrested and charged with making false statements to federal authorities.
In New York, Afzali declined to answer reporters' questions regarding Zazi other than to say Zazi used to visit the mosque.
The loyalty is always to Islam.
It's interesting to watch the media report on Islamic attacks on the West and struggle with identifying the enemy. Never is Islam mentioned, nor the violent doctrine in the quran that inspires the millions of mujahideen worldwide. Wild.
Najibullah Zazi planned for more than a year to manufacture and detonate bombs, with New York's transit system the likely target.
Those are among the terrorism charges lodged yesterday against the airport-shuttle driver, who reportedly admitted having received weapons and explosives training from al Qaeda.
Let's hope Attorney General Eric Holder was right when he said he believes that "any imminent threat arising from this case has been disrupted."
But there's another troubling element to this case: the role of Ahmad Wais Afzali, a Queens imam who, despite having cooperated with investigators in the past, allegedly tipped off Zazi that the feds were closing in -- forcing agents to move against Zazi sooner than planned.
Which raises the question of whether Afzali's dual role -- cooperating against would-be terrorists on the one hand, tipping them off on the other -- was an aberration. The FBI and local police have invested much time and effort in trying to develop sources of information in the Muslim community.
But some, like Rep. Pete King, claim that "80 to 85 percent of mosques in this country are controlled by Islamic fundamentalists." And while "average Muslims are loyal . . . they won't come forward and cooperate with police." The charges against Afzali make King's allegations all the more worrisome.
*****THE ORLANDO SENTINEL CALLS INTO ATLAS -SCROLL****
On June 4th, President Barack Hussein Obama made a speech to the Muslim world in Cairo. In it he said:
Freedom in America is indivisible from the freedom to practice one’s
religion. ...That is why the U.S.
government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to
wear the hijab, and to punish those who would deny it.
Why doesn't Barack go to the same extraordinary lengths to protect women and girls WHO DON'T WANT TO WEAR THE HIJAB?
Has anyone else noticed that the only narrative being propagated by the media on the slow motion honor killing case are thelies and deceptionof Rifqa Bary's devout Muslim family and their lawyers? The only opportunity Americans had to hear Rifqa Bary's story was on a youtube video I pulled off a raw news feed.
The insipid shills sell this girl down the river. Who are they working for?
One after another, lined up like good little dhimmi slaves. Once again the media makes evil good, and good evil. Three hours ago, Amy Edwards, the latest subjugated sycophant at the now notorious Orlando Sentinel, "breaks" this lie:
The pathetic reporter Amy Edwards (whom I called but has not returned my call) "breaks" the story with this: {UPDATE: Edwards called this morning, scroll for my conversation]:
Did the Orlando pastors who sheltered an Ohio teen convert who feared her Muslim family help the girl run away to Florida?
A Department of Children and Families document just obtained by the Orlando Sentinel indicates there's a possibility.
A hand-written note on a caregiver home study conducted on Blake and
Beverly Lorenz, pastors of Global Revolution Church, said an initial
DCF study was approved "prior to being informed that the pastor's
family was involved with possibly helping the child run away from Ohio."
This is the tactic, BTW, to smear the good pastor. Rifqa hitchhiked to the bus depot, trying to get as far away from her terror as possible, and the good folks who provided her refuge are the guilty party? Did this tool Amy Edwards attempt to contact Rifqa's friends in Ohio?
Did this shill Amy Edwards attempt to confirm Rifqa's easily
confirmable story?
The story is not the pastor, Amy. The story is the terror of Rifqa and how we, as good decent human beings, can help save her from a tragic fate. Shame on you. Why doesn't the media do an investigative piece on the Bary family mosque, Noor Islamic Center, hot bed of extremist activity? Patrick Poole on the extremist ties to the mosque:
We need Ohio to stay out of Rifqa's case.Ohio is biased, Florida is neutral. Look at the remarks law enforcement has already made, before they conducted any investigation.
Columbus police also question
the girl's claim of being in danger.
Mohamed Bary "comes across to
me as a loving, caring, worried father about the whereabouts and the health of
his daughter," said Sgt. Jerry Cupp, chief of the Columbus police missing
persons bureau.
The police and child services in Ohio have spoken to Rifqa's friends. Law enforcement knows about the abuse.
Back in July, the news reports mentioned her recent
trips to churches in her community; some of her friends were worried
that her going missing had something to do with her recent conversion.
The authorities also know that the night before Rifqa left the house - she left a note for her parents. Rifqa said here:
I
wrote my parents a note, I said, I refuse to deny Jesus and He’s my Lord and
Savior and I pray you find His forgiveness and mercy and I love them both
dearly. I wrote that, but they never showed it to the police officers. They want
me back home, I can’t go back to Ohio, you guys don’t understand. That
community, they’re like – I will die within a week. My life is at stake. My dad
threatened me
They also know she wrote notes to her friends and posted it on facebook, "please pray for me, My mom discovered my journal. She said just wait until your dad gets home". Rifqa asked for their prayers. So the police were well aware of this intolerance of religious views.
It
was the father who deleted her facebook page. It was her father who
disconnected her cell phone. He had plans for that girl. He had plans.
So they are corrupt. And biased. That is why you must call Governor
Strickland TODAY and tell him NOT TO ASK FOR THE CASE ON FRIDAY.
FRIDAY 3:15 pm IS WHEN JURISDICTION IS DECIDED! GET ON THE HORN.

UPDATE: Giant props to the International Christian Concern and Act for America for getting behind Rifqa and urging members to save her life.
For the better part of the last hour I have been talking to someone who is very close to Rifqa Bary. The more that is revealed of Rifqa's story, the more urgent it is for us to ACT in defense of this child.
Rifqa Bary is an honor student, a cheerleader - a good girl. Like Amina and Sarah Said, she lived two lives: she was a happy productive successful student in school and a tortured, oppressed and brutalized victim at home. Many in her school were shocked to hear that Rifqa, the quintessential good girl, had run away from home; those close to her were not surprised at all.
On several occasions friends of Rifqa would bring her down to the school counselor because of bruises on her legs and her arms, beatings suffered at the hands of her father and brother (sounds like Islam Said). The middle school, in a serious dereliction of duty, did not report these beatings to child welfare services. Beatings were random, violent, unprovoked. Take, for example, when Rifqa and her father Mohammad were driving in the car. He would force her to wear the hijab, which she hated. In her discomfort she would slouch down, embarrassed, and her father would haul off and sock her in the face so that she never forgot to sit up straight in her costume. The beatings were regular and so much a part of the landscape of Rifqa's life, she became inured to them, just like Amina and Sarah and Aqsa and every "honor" victim.
Rifqa: "He took that laptop and waved it in the
air and he was about to beat me with it, and he said, “If you have this Jesus in
your heart, you’re dead to me. You’re not my daughter.” And I refused to speak
but he said, “I will kill you. Tell me the truth.” In these words, bad words,
cuss words. So I knew that I had to get away"
It was only when her father was warned by the members of the Muslim community at Noor Islamic Cultural Center that his daughter was an apostate, that Rifqa bolted. She had to run: he vowed to kill her in the time honored Islamic tradition of honor killings. The Noor Islamic Cultural Center has a notorious reputation for extremist ties. Salah Sultan was the scholar in residence at the Noor mosque. Patrick Poole has his story here:
Salah Sultan, internationally renowned Islamic hate sheikh
from Hilliard, Ohio, was recorded yesterday on Egyptian Al-Nas TV preaching Jew
hatred and spewing conspiracy filth. In his interview, Sultan approvingly cites
the infamous Protocols of the Elders of
Zion. Sultan also warns of the forthcoming destuction and deaths of
Americans, vowing that more Americans will be killed than Palestinians in Gaza —
and soon!
Wonder what his friends at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center, especially his best friend and
mosque president Hany Saqr, think about that? Oh, and did I mention that Sultan
used to be the religious director at the Islamic school in Hilliard, Sunrise Academy, and the scholar-in-residence for the Islamic Society of Greater Columbus? They have any thoughts on
his comments? And was this what Sultan was preaching while he was touring
Columbus-area mosques this month?
Here’s the transcript of his interview courtesy of MEMRI:
Al-Nas TV, December 29,
2008
Egyptian cleric Dr. Sallah Sultan: The arch-murderer who
commanded the campaign against Jenin in 2003 went to America a few months later
and boarded a NASA space shuttle. The space shuttle was launched by NASA, and a
few minutes later, it reached Texas, the land of President Bush. Then this space
shuttle shattered to pieces, along with the five top American space scientists,
and that commander of the Zionist airforce was on board with them. Where exactly
did it shatter and fall? By Allah, Sheik Mahmoud, although I was living in
America, I didn’t know that there was a city called “Palestine” in America.
Sheik Mustafa, the space shuttle fell, of all places, in the city of Palestine,
in President Bush’s state of Texas.
[ . . . ]
The stone, which is
thrown at the Jews, hates these Jews, these Zionists, because Allah foretold, via His
Prophet Muhammad, that Judgment Day will not come before the Jew and the Muslim
fight. The Jew will hide behind stones and trees, and the stone and the tree
will speak, saying: “Oh Muslim, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill
him.” The only exception will be the Gharqad tree.
Yes, that’s our local terror sheikh, Hilliard resident Salah Sultan (right)
hamming it up with Qaradawi (center) and Lebanese Muslim Brotherhood leader
Faisal al-Malawi (left). Sultan serves on the board for two of Qaradawi’s
organizations along with al-Malawi, the International Association of Muslim
Scholars and the European Council for Fatwa and Research. Qaradawi and Malawi
are both banned from the US for their open support of HAMAS and other terrorist
organizations, as well as for issuing fatwas allowing for suicide bombings
against civilians. In 2004, Qaradawi, Malawi and Sultan issued
a fatwa in the name of IAMS calling for jihad against American troops in
Iraq.
Sultan is also a member of the Fiqh Council of North America, which bills itself
as the top Islamic ruling body in the US.
Here’s another shot of them
laughing it up:
Rifqa cannot be returned to this town in Ohio where the local scholars glad hand with the likes of a jihadist Islamic supremacist genocidal sheikh like Qaradawi.
Rifqa told her story to as many as twenty adults before she fled. No one would listen.
This girl has been abused enough. When she was brought into custody in Florida, this tiny bit of a thing was shackled at the ankle and waist and incarcerated with the juvenile criminals. Shame on them.
Rifqa Bary's day in Juvenile Court is August 21st, the first day of Ramadan.

Rifqa Bary is not only in jeopardy from her father and other family
members but from all devout Muslims, for in converting to Christianity,
she committed the worst of all sins, apostasy. And she broke the code of silence (whole article here).
UPDATE: SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELED: I will not be on the Young Gun Conservative Radio show tonight at 7pm. They were supposed to be interviewing Rifka Bary's parents' lawyer.
Hamas and their UN shills falsely accused Israel of phosphorus attacks in Gaza back in January (all while Hamas was firing phosphorus bombs at Israel). When the allegations against the Jews proved untrue, the disinformationalists quieted down. Meanwhile, Muslims in Afghanistan are using phosphorus munitions with impunity, and nary a word from the international community. The morally bankrupt and the morally corrupt .............
KABUL - The
U.S. military accused militants in Afghanistan on Monday of using
white phosphorus munitions in attacks on American forces and in
civilian areas, saying it has documented at least 44 incidents of
insurgents using or storing the weapons. A spokeswoman labeled the
attacks "reprehensible."
White phosphorus is a
spontaneously flammable material that leaves severe chemical burns on
flesh. Using white phosphorus to illuminate a target or create smoke
is considered legitimate under international law, but rights groups
say its use over populated areas can indiscriminately burn civilians
and constitutes a war crime.
The U.S. military, in
documents supplied to The Associated Press, said there had been at
least seven instances of militants using white phosphorus in
improvised explosive attacks since spring 2007, including attacks in
civilian areas.
The military documents
showed 12 attacks where militants used white phosphorus in mortar or
rocket attacks, the majority of which came the last two years.
The American military
itself uses white phosphorus in Afghanistan to light up the night sky
and for smoke screens.
The most recent militant
attack using white phosphorus came last Thursday, when a NATO outpost
in Logar was hit with two rounds of indirect white phosphorus fire,
the documents said. Most troops in Logar, which lies south of Kabul,
are American.
Afghan
authorities have also said Taliban fighters may have used a burning
agent - possibly white phosphorus - in a major battle on May 4, after
doctors discovered unusual burns among the dead and wounded.
President Hamid Karzai has said up to 130 civilians died in that
battle. The U.S. blamed militants for deliberately putting civilians
in harm's way.
Col. Greg Julian, the top
U.S. military spokesman in Afghanistan, said the U.S. did not use
white phosphorus at all in last week's battle in Farah province.
A U.S. spokeswoman, Maj.
Jenny Willis, said the militants' use of white phosphorus as a weapon
could cause "unnecessary suffering" as defined in the laws
of warfare.
"This pattern of
irresponsible and indiscriminate use of white phosphorus by
insurgents is reprehensible and should be noted by the international
human rights community," she said.
Willis said the U.S.
military and NATO have been able to document 44 cases of white
phosphorus use by insurgents - either attacks or in weapons caches -
but that there may be more. Thirty-eight of those cases occurred in
eastern Afghanistan, the region where the majority of American troops
are stationed. Six cases came from other parts of the country.
Willis said the military
doesn't necessarily know that militants are using white phosphorus
deliberately, but that its use is still "indiscriminate."
A Taliban spokesman
couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The U.S. allegations come
after Human Rights Watch last week called on the military to release
information into a March 14 battle in Kapisa - one province northeast
of Kabul - in which an 8-year-old Afghan girl named Razia was burned
by white phosphorus munitions.
Willis said the U.S.
can't be certain who fired the round that wounded Razia, who has been
receiving medical care at the U.S. base at Bagram, where she has had
10 skin grafts.
"There's
no way to be sure that it was an enemy round that impacted Razia's
house, but based on the plotting of ISAF's rounds and the time of the
reported impact, we can't establish that ISAF was responsible
either," Willis said, referring to NATO's International Security
Assistance Force.
"Either
scenario is possible, and equally regrettable. One thing is certain:
Razia will have the best care that we can give her".
White phosphorus is used
to mark targets, create smoke screens or as a weapon, and can be
delivered by shells, flares or hand grenades. Human rights groups
denounce its use as a weapon for the severe burns it causes, though
it is not banned by any treaty to which the United States is a
signatory.
The U.S. military used
white phosphorus in the battle of Fallujah in Iraq in November 2004.
Israel's military used it in January against Hamas targets in Gaza.
Afghan
officials on Sunday said they were investigating the possibility that
white phosphorus was used in a U.S.-Taliban battle in Farah province
last week that President Hamid Karzai said killed up to 130
civilians.
Nader
Nadery, an official with the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights
Commission, said Monday that doctors are treating 16 patients with
severe burns suffered in the May 4 battle. The commission is
investigating the possible use of white phosphorus or another
incendiary chemical against villagers during the battle.
Nadery
said Farah's governor told the group's researchers that many of those
killed in the battle also had severe burns. The governor confirmed
that Taliban fighters may attacked the villagers with a flammable
material, though not necessarily white phosphorus, Nadery said.
To insert islamic law (shariah) in the same sentence as "humanitarian" law is so patently dishonest and dangerous and bad enough, but a conference that attempts to put the two together is criminal. It is propaganda under the guise of education.
What deception! This is taqiyya, lies to advance Islam. Who is underwriting this? What petrosheikdom is Syracuse whoring itself out for? Or is this part of OIC compliance in league with the Alliance of Civilizations? Islamic law ...think taliban. Think stoning, public hangings of gays, honor killings, clitorectomies, beheading, death penalties for apostasy and hypocrisy, (and reinterpreting the Koran), shariah finance, child marriage, marital rape, death to rape victims..... Islamic law should be crushed, extinguished from the pages of modern history - relegated to seventh century barbarism.
Atlas reader Scott G wrote me, "I recently received a self congratulatory e-mail from the Dean's office for the school of Arts and Sciences boasting of a conference that explores and celebrates Islamic thinking in humanitarian law. This conference takes place this week.
Dhimmitude in CNY? It seems this conference will whitewash Islamic law and give it legitimacy as a valid source of legislation. No one reads my blog, but maybe you can get some action on stopping this. Though I'm sure it's too late now."
Any of my readers on the board of Syracuse? Someone needs to slap these asshats out of it. These people are going to be eaten alive.
4.17.2009 Workshop, Syracuse University: The goal of the initiative’s first workshop is to begin identifying the most pressing issues at the intersection of Islamic jurisprudence and humanitarian law and to consider how their shared concerns may prompt creativity in addressing present gaps in IHL—notably, the lack of standards for dealing with the rise of irregular armies or the inability of the law to accommodate asymmetric forms of attacks by non-state entities against sovereign states.
III Network and Related Initiatives: INSCT is developing partnerships on different aspects of this topic with the United Institute for Peace’s (USIP) Rule of Law Center of Innovation, which develops strategies for policymakers and practitioners to promote the rule of law in fragile and post-conflict societies; and Harvard University’s International Humanitarian Law Research Initiative (IHLRI), a central resource for the reaffirmation and development of international humanitarian law based at the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research (HPCR) at the Harvard School of Public Health.
Well, the 20 million dollar gift that Harvard received from the Saudis really did pay off.
ISLAM AND INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW (hat tip Scott G)
304 Tolley Humanities Building, Syracuse University
Overview: The Islam-IHL initiative examines from multiple perspectives the ongoing role of Islam, including Islamic leaders, in International Humanitarian Law (IHL), and the potential of that contribution for contending with new forms of warfare and international conflicts. The goal of the Workshop is to begin identifying the most pressing issues at the intersection of Islamic jurisprudence and humanitarian law and to consider how their shared concerns may prompt creativity in addressing troubling gaps in IHL today—notably, the lack of standards for dealing with the rise of irregular armies, or the inability of the law to accommodate asymmetric forms of attacks by non-state entities against sovereign states.
NUTS!
Topics for Discussion will likely include the role of culturally and religiously-based legal norms and their authoritative sources for limiting armed conflict’s effects on victims; the meaning of asymmetry from the perspective of the weaker party; conflicting and even incompatible notions of legitimacy and defense in military actions; and the role of universal human rights standards in relation to culture and conflict.
Approach: The bodies of law under consideration are “living traditions,” to paraphrase the 8th century jurist al-Awzai’s view of Islamic law, the uninterrupted, intergenerational practice of adapting approved legal precepts to contemporary circumstances. This view rebuts the tendency to reduce Western and Islamic legal traditions to static or monolithic constructs by recognizing each as complex, dynamic, and plural (made up of sub-traditions). Given the inherent complexity of this subject across traditional disciplines and practice areas (i.e., international humanitarian, military, legal, and policy communities) an interdisciplinary approach and sustained collaboration for advancing knowledge on this pressing topic is necessary.
Objective: The resulting analysis from the Islam-IHL initiative will lay the groundwork for engaging a larger community of practitioners and scholars in understanding the relationship between IHL and Islamic law for internationally viable approaches to present-day asymmetric challenges—including those involving Islamic groups or states.
Research questions:
· What role does Islam play in international laws and norms for conducting warfare and why do some consider Islamic law an alternative to IHL?
· Does incorporating primary and secondary Islamic sources foster a different understanding and legal interpretation of key IHL provisions and its present challenges today?
· What shared or divergent visions and precepts underlie IHL and Islamic attempts to humanize warfare?
· Do Islamic doctrines of warfare have lessons for contemporary conflict settings, asymmetric warfare, non-state belligerents, present gaps in IHL, or the relationship between Jus in bello and Jus ad bellum?
· Are contesting interpretations of Islamic law enabling Islamist interpretations of warfare and the use of violence for social and political change?
· What would a productive synthesis look like between Islamic jurisprudence and IHL that humanizes war while preserving state’s sovereignty, a balance central to the universal acceptance of IHL?

And CAIR spokesman in Chicago USA said, "they should respect the modesty of the accused." Respect? It is alleged she beat the kid to death. The child had
55 separate bruises and was beaten "from head to toe". If she beat that kid to death, I'd hang her naked.
The police booking photo of alleged child killer Nour Hadid released Tuesday
is an "insult against our religion," says Hadid's husband, Alaeddin.
Orland Park police detectives say the 26-year-old Muslim woman was treated as
any other suspect in a murder probe would be, and they did not intend to
humiliate her when they photographed her Sunday without her headscarf and
wearing only a skimpy top
Nour Hadid is accused of beating her 2-year-old niece Bhia Hadid to death
over four days at her home on the 9000 block of West 140th Street. The child had
55 separate bruises and was beaten "from head to toe," according to prosecutors,
who say Hadid confessed.
But Alaeddin Hadid - who insists his wife is innocent - said Orland Park
police are "really going to be in big trouble" for releasing the woman's booking
photo to the news media after she was charged with first-degree murder.
The Hadids are Muslims and Nour "never leaves the home without covering up,"
said Alaeddin, who's vowed to sue.
[...]
Suicide threats
Orland Park police Cmdr. Chuck Doll said the mug shot was taken "for
identification purposes" before Hadid made her confession. Her headscarf was
handed back to her after the photo was taken, Doll said.
"A matron was with her at all times while she was in our custody," Doll said.
A matron is a law enforcement official who works with women held in custody.
"She was wearing a tank top, and she had the headscarf when she was
interviewed."
The headscarf later was taken from her after she made suicide threats, he
said.
Why didn't she kill herself before she killed the child? Pity, my friends, the children who live under sharia law.
A sobbing Hadid appeared without the headscarf at the Bridgeview courthouse
Tuesday and is being held without bail at the Cermak Medical Center at the Cook
County Jail, where she remains on suicide watch.
Police have said her husband's possible involvement in Bhia's death still is
under investigation.
Nour Hadid's attorney, Frank Celani, said he hopes to speak with her today
about the mug shot.
Respecting the accused
Islamic advocacy groups seem wary of taking up Hadid's cause.
Spokesmen for the Council on Islamic American Relations, the Islamic Society
of North America and the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation all declined to comment
Thursday.
But Dr. Mohammed Sahloul, chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of
Chicago, said that while police should follow the usual procedures with all
defendants, "they should respect the modesty of the accused."
Sahloul, who made it clear he was not aware of the Hadid case and was
speaking in general terms about the hijab, pointed out that Muslim women are
allowed to wear hijabs in photos for their state IDs.
"If it's for the purposes of identification and they cover in public, then
that's going to be more effective in identifying them anyway," he said.
I reported earlier this week that Wal- Mart had taken the Mattel doll spouting Islamic propaganda off the shelves. Well, maybe not. See below. This is not the first email I have received from Atlas readers who report that on their visit to Wal-Mart, the doll was there chanting the Islamic mantra, "Islam is the light".
Readers, when you see this doll, complain to store management! This just in from reader Atlas reader Susan, it has an interesting twist:
I went to my local Wal-Mart today and saw AND heard the doll say "Islam is the Light" as clear as day--another shopper stopped too. I checked the other dolls on the shelf (white ones) and they didn't seem to have the same vocals. The doll that did was a dark-skinned, but not African-American doll. (I have the SKU number as well). I was floored, especially because they said they were pulling them. I live in Cheser County PA (Exton, PA Wal-Mart). Thought I'd pass on.
SKU 2708456915 -- this is the doll.
Here is the link for the one that she saw. They have rotating sounds/coos on
the chip, not just one sound. There is, btw, an African-American version of Baby dawah and this is not it. Can you imagine coming home, a working mom, from a hard day's work, and hearing your sweet little tyke looking up at you and parroting, "Islam is the light!"?
The whole contradiction between the Mattel audio file and the one that the Moms recorded is a real smoking gun. Mattel did something to change the audio JUST at the phrase Islam is the Light. Advancing Islamic dawah and then a cover-up.
OUR FINDINGS: On October 13, 2008, Mattel posted - on their corporate
webpage for “Investors and Media” - an audio file which they alleged
was for the “Islam is the Light” sound made by the Little Mommy Real
Loving Baby Cuddle & Coo doll.
On November 18, Scott Grayban, a computer and audio expert, received
an “Islam is the Light” doll directly from amazon.com, and recorded his
own audio file using the methods described below. He compared it to
the Mattel file posted at their website October 13, 2008.
The audio file recorded by Scott Grayban: my-sound.wav
As you can see, the two files are very similar - close to identical - UNTIL
YOU REACH the section of audio for “Islam is the Light.” At that
section, the Mattel file is very different from the Grayban file - and
from the earlier parts of the Mattel file itself. FULL EXPLANATION
BELOW:
Comparison: Mattel Website Audio vs. Actual Doll Audio
RECOMMENDATION:
Further investigation is needed to determine if the file posted at the
Mattel “Investors and Media” webpage was in any way altered from the
actual sound made by the doll. If the sound is indeed different due to
being edited or some other manipulation, other consumers and
shareholders should ask for a formal investigation by the Federal Trade
Commission (FTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Based on Grayban’s tests, we are submitting a complaint and request for
investigation to both FTC and SEC.
Pending those official investigations, you can replicate Grayban’s
experiment yourself, and we encourage any owner of the LMRLBCC doll to
do so. We describe here the findings from this single experiment.
We're writing to ask
for your help with a local citizen's campaign this December. Our goal is to
convince stores to stop selling a Mattel talking doll that says "Islam is the
light," a way of inviting someone to join Islam - also know as "Da'wa." We have
started this campaign in Virginia and Maryland, and we need your help to take it
nationwide.
The controversial toy
is called the "Little Mommy Real Loving Baby Cuddle & Coo" doll,
manufactured by Mattel-Fisher Price. We've put up a website to provide
resources for parents to download an information packet to give to store
managers. As parents, we've already started asking store managers to remove the
dolls from the store shelves, or to put labels on the dolls stating "Notice:
this doll says 'Islam is the light,' an invitation to your child to join
Islam."
THE "ISLAM IS THE
LIGHT" DOLL IS STILL ON THE SHELVES
You may have heard
about this controversy in the media. It received a lot of print and TV media
attention in October and earlier in November. Yet - hard as it is to believe -
most stores are still carrying the doll on their shelves for the holiday
shopping season. The doll has no warning label letting parents know that it
clearly says "Islam is the light." In fact, we found one store in Virginia
where the dolls had the audio disabled AND the front packaging panel (where the
name is displayed) ripped off, which made it harder for parents to know that
this was the controversial doll. A few newer dolls are being distributed
without the sound file, but most still say "Islam is the light."
Bottom line - parents
are still buying the doll RIGHT NOW, taking it home, and may not realize what
the doll says until Christmas morning when their child unwraps the package and
the doll tells her that "Islam is the light."
MATTEL DENIES
EVERYTHING
You'd think Mattel
would have recalled the doll after parents complained, after some retailers
pulled it in response to parent complaints, and after about twenty Youtube
videos went up spontaneously from parents and local TV news stations showing
that the doll was really saying "Islam is the light." But no. Mattel denies
everything.
Mattel has flatly
denied that the doll audio files say "Islam is the light," and has stated that
parents are hearing the phrase "Islam is the light" because of "power of
suggestion." Mattel even put up their "version" of the doll's audio file on
their investors and media webpage, although an actual recording of the doll's
audio appears to be VERY different (see the "audio research" link at the link label the link.
JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN TO
NOTIFY STORE MANAGERS AND PARENTS
We decided enough is
enough - store managers need to get the doll off the shelves, or at least label
the packaging for each doll so parents know what they are buying their kids for
Christmas. We've sent a formal complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, and
we've put together information packets you can take to store managers to inform
them about the doll (including a sheet of 30 labels they can put on the doll
packaging). At their website, we have created a "case"
reporting system for each store: just email us basic info about the store you
visited and the store manager's response, and we'll put it up so everyone can
track the progress in that case. You can see how we've started to do this at
the "Cases" link at their website
If you can visit just
one store - just one - you can make a difference.
This campaign is also
a way to educate our communities about the threat of the Islamic legal and
political doctrine of Shariah. Shariah is particularly discriminatory and
violent towards Muslim and non-Muslim girls and women. This unadvertised use
of a doll - without any notice to parents in the doll's packaging - to
advocate Islam to children is particularly offensive and inappropriate, given
the very real risks to girls under Shariah.
The Marines have a
good saying: "We do well that which we know will be inspected." We need to let
store managers know that parents across America, this holiday season, are
inspecting them for their responsiveness to community concerns about the "Islam
is the Light" doll.
More empirical evidence of what I contended here, Obama's real sentiments and motivations despite weak lip service paid to the contrary from time to time. He is anti-Israel. He brings the best and the brightest Jew haters under his tent. It is not "Republican" that enjoins these demogogues, it is their hate for Israel.
By his acts we shall know him, and so we know him. Yet again.
Who is Rita Hauser?: Arafat-Gushing, Israel-Hating Jew is 1/3 of Trio on Team Obama GOP; "Republicans" For Obama Are Islamist-Enablers
Three "Republicans" (In Name Only)--former Congressman Jim Leach, former U.S.
Senator Lincoln Chafee, and Bush family friend Rita Hauser--are the leaders of
"Republicans for Obama."
But with Hauser at the forefront, they might as well call the group Lewinskys
for Arafat. At least that has been the lifelong role of Rita Hauser, a
virulently pro-P.L.O. fundraiser for George W. Bush. I've followed this woman
for many years, and it's of note that Obamaslobbering
Wall Street Journal fabricator Amy Chozick, yet again, chose
not to tell readers the truth. She mentions not a word of Rita Hauser's
pro-P.L.O. activities and the millions the terrorist group paid her.
The most spot-on description of Rita Hauser is on Masada 2000 (with
background music of "Who Let The Dogs Out?"), where she is a member of the
Jewish S.H.I.T. (Self-Hating and/or Israel-Threatening Jews). Here's just a
tad:
Her unsolicited meddling on behalf of the Jewish State led to the
Oslo Peace Accords and the resulting murder of more than 1,400 Jews! But this
lady is not through with Israel yet, in fact, not by a long shot. On a Oct.14,
2003 C-SPAN2 speech, she told her audience, "It's a moral duty to speak out
against Israel" followed by "The Oslo Process was the best thing that ever
happened to Israel!" ... "a joyous moment."
But Schlussel has it wrong, this is no Jewess in chief - this Jewicidal went Jehovah witness long ago.
The following piece below is from "Rebecca" (name changed at her request), who knew Rita Hauser, one of the (few) "Republicans for Obama." This story was broken by Cindy atThe Pink Flamingo and Stephen Maloney, but make sure you check out Yid with Lid too.
"Rebecca" writes:
I have just heard a radio commentator talk about Rita Hauser, the "Republican for Obama". I would like to pass the following on to the McCain campaign, though I do not wish it to be attributed to me, or - if posted and discussed - done so in any way that will enable anyone to identify me.
I grew up with Rita in a Jewish neighborhood in in [the New York area]. Everyone I knew was Jewish, with the exception of one boy who was Greek Orthodox. This continued through all my public school years.
Rita was a brilliant girl who lived a few blocks away, and with whom I was somewhat friendly. Wee were both in honors classes. She went on to win a Fulbright, and became an international lawyer, a full partner in a prestigious law firm, and the wife of Gus Hauser who was, I THINK, one of the founders of cable television.
We kept in touch periodically, and she was kind to me, even though she far outstripped me in both achievement and money.
She came from a very poor family. Her father sold hot dogs [at a major league baseball field in the New York area]. One day, in our early adulthood not long after she married Gus, she told me she was a member of another religion. I THINK it was Jehovah's Witnesses. I fell down. Metaphorically.
She was born Rita Abrams. Everyone I knew then, and was in touch with afterward, knew her to be Jewish: although, to be fair, none of us ever discussed the subject. It was just assumed. In our neighborhood, EVERYONE was a Jew. And if your name was Abrams, the conclusion was not irrational.
In fact, on learning this, I mentioned the revelation to another woman who was part my childhood crowd: "Not Jewish?" she said, amazed. "How could she be not Jewish? I never heard that."
Neither did I; and so, much much later, when I discovered she supported the Palestinians, I was really surprised. (We have not been in touch nor spoken since then.)
The point: by the time I learned this, Rita was ascending the ladder of success and fortune in America where, in many times past - and, perhaps, even today - being Jewish is a hindrance to success.
So, to reach the top, you change "sides."
Her advocacy for Palestinians - and her trumpeted appearance for Obama - tells you exactly, and in no uncertain terms, the direction he's [probably] going to take in reversing American policy toward Israel.
And it tells you about the credentials of people who find it expedient to be something other than what they would like you to believe.

Geller attempts to make a point but her logic backfires. She says ”Who
better understands the subjugation demanded of shariah law than a Muslim woman?”
I am a Muslim woman, and I would agree with her that I certainly understand
shariah law and Islam better than she does (or Phyllis Chessler does), but I
don’t think that is the point she was trying to make.
She doesn't think that's the point I am trying to make? Musaji knows better than me the point I am trying to make? huh?
Musaji goes on to cite terrorist in a fancy suit Tariq Ramadan, Ayatollah Sistani and dar al Hudna to back up her arguments. Idiotic...a "hudna" can be broken any time it is to the Muslims' advantage....Ramadan refuses to condemn stoning for adultery and Sistani believes in najis and issued fatwas that resulted in the killing of gays in Iraq.
It's all deception, taqiyya- the deliberate dissimulation about religious matters that may be undertaken to protect Islam. And while this kind of double talk has the left doing the Islamists bidding, many of us know exactly what this shiz is. You can fool some of the infidels some of the times, but you can't fool all of the kufirs all of the time.
Earlier this week, I sighed heavily when yet another high minded intellectual, David Frum, following in Dinesh's footsteps, had switched gears and gone on to attack the very people that will lead us to victory in the war on the Jihad. The greatest historians of our time, once again getting nailed to the cross, for telling the truth. Kill the messenger. As if the counter jihad movement wasn't small enough!
The links (at Jihad Watch) and full texts to the eviscerating rebuttals of
Frum’s self-righteous juvenilia by Bat
Ye’or, and Robert
Spencer, are provided below.
When I ran Robert's rebuttal, I wrote here, " David Frum has entered the jihad fray hoping to project his Western thinking onto what he would like the Koran to be. Isn't that special?
And tiresome. This is not Frum's milieu and it shows. I have been
studying and covering this single subject intensively for 3 years now
after coming to it after 9/11/01. I won't pretend to know as much as
Spencer, Yeor, Bostom, Warraq, but I do know that they provide
empirical evidence. They do the work to substantiate their deductions.
It's not theory. It's fact and they back it up."
I blame Bernard Lewis for a lot of bad information, bogus intel and fallacious deductions. Considered the world's leading scholar on Islam, he is an apologist and in many cases confused, dithering even, if not a liar. His historical inaccuracies are well documented but his positions are enormously influential to world leaders and opinion makers so the harm he does is incalculable.
Over at Jihadwatch Bat Yeor comes out swinging and Bostom's response follows. Yes, Bat, Bostom, Bob, this post is a grand slam.
David Frum's piece is here; my response is here. And
now the great historian Bat Ye’or has kindly sent me this response:
In his latest article, “Ancient Holy Books, Modern Dilemmas” (posted
January 8, 2008), David Frum poses as a referee in a disputation, pretending
there are two alleged extremes, whereas he ignores the rules and the meaning of
the subject itself. This hoax has often been used by Sages who pontificate: “As
usual, the truth is in the middle.” But often this scenario of two opposed
extremisms allows the Sages to pride themselves on what is only the appearance
of wisdom. Moreover, this catch-phrase is meaningless, because truth is not
found at a linear distance between two extremes. Between the Nazi genocidal
policy toward the Jews and the victims’ affirmation of their right to live there
is no middle-way solution. Would we discuss how many Jews it would be right for
the Nazis to exterminate? Between slavery and human equality, there is no middle
position. Between the dehumanization of dhimmitude and the inalienable right to
freedom, dignity and equality, there is no meeting in the middle. Would one
haggle over the amount due for protecting one’s life and rights?
David Frum describes my work as a study of Islam, whereas it is research into
a neglected and specific domain involving Islamic theology, jurisprudence and
history in relation to non-Muslims. Within this particular field, I only
examined the Jewish and Christian aspect, not that of the Zoroastrians and other
religious denominations. It is therefore not an assessment of Islam in general.
Even more, in none of my writing is there the implication that Islam must
disappear for the sake of peace. Maybe Frum has hidden his own thought, which he
unconsciously projects on Robert Spencer and myself, while contrasting our
alleged somber designs with his own generous wisdom -- which is not, in the
least, very original. It hangs on the usual love paradigm of interfaith
dialogue, dhimmi biased vision, and subvention of billions of dollars, while
waiting with humble timidity for a powerful Muslim majority to reinterpret the
Koran as a book of universal love and peace. I do not object to that, except
that meanwhile, Muslim reformers even in Europe must hide to save their lives,
while terrorism claims countless innocent victims throughout the globe, and
tomorrow we might be facing a global nuclear jihad.
Here Bostom comes tearing out of the gate over FPG:
Inexplicably David Frum of the American Enterprise Institute—hardly an authority on Islamic doctrine, or history—has nevertheless lashed
out——albeit inaccurately, and within the constraints of his own crude understanding—at two contemporary scholars, Bat Ye’or and Robert Spencer. A serious, respected writer/essayist on jihad terrorism sent me this assessment:
I don’t know why I should be surprised at this kind of thing any more, but I am. Frum really should have known better.
His criticism makes it sound as if you [AB] and Bat Ye’or and Spencer simply read the Koran and the Life of Mohammad, and inferred the nature of Islam from these isolated texts. As I said in my book—I would have no problem if Muslims decided to go back and read jihad out of the Koran; it would be okay if they pretended jihad had never played any important role in the expansion of Islam. I would rejoice if Muslims really behaved as Frum thinks he would behave if he were a Muslim! But it ain’t gonna happen.
Secularized Westerner intellectuals like Frum simply cannot imagine what it is like to be possessed by a living faith that commands its faithful to expand the community of the faithful by violent methods. This kind of fanaticism, as I argue in my book, is outside their imaginative scope. So whenever contemporary scholars like you, Bat Ye’or, or Spencer point out what every schoolboy once knew about Islam, you are the ones who are treated like extremists. When your first book came out I was astonished that anyone thought it was controversial. You didn’t make up the idea of jihad—you simply documented the historical Muslim theory and practice of it. And yet that is considered as “going too far.” The same thing can be said of Bat Ye’or work. If the two of you were merely investigating a historically transcended and outmoded form of Islam, I suppose you could be blamed for failing to let the dead bury the dead. But today people are still dying and killing in the name of Islam—but we are forbidden even to see the truth, let alone speak it.

Bostom couldn't resist the medical terminology pun on Frum's supposed formulation "Axis of Evil"
It ain't your country, stay out of it. Better yet, read your bible. It seems to me the purpose of this visit is to shore up support for the traitorous Olmert. Bush was invited to but won't speak to the knesset. Seems to me he is sending a very definite message to the people of Israel.
In his last year in office, Bush's central challenge is to clarify what he himself has allowed to become muddled about the nature of the current generational struggle. Unfortunately, though his commitment to Palestinian statehood, and his refusal to assert his own foreign policy against the wishes of a hostile bureaucracy, he calls to mind not Truman, but another American president who led his country at the cusp of another formative crisis. Like Bush, James Buchanan - the last president to serve before the Civil War - understood the nature of the gathering storm; yet rather than confront the dangers, he was overwhelmed by them.
Dithering in his old age, Bernard Lewis has done more to mislead the West (and the White House) about the true intent of Islam than any other single group or entity. Considered the world's leading scholar on Islam, his position and his power to influence western leaders is incalcuable. It is critical to the fight on the war on Islamic jihad that his arguments be shown to be fallacious and historically inaccurate. He has been an apologist for Islam throughout his illustrious career and while he may have been trying to be productive, he was in fact aiding and abetting.
Whether Bernard Lewis is the greatest scholar of Islam of all time, he is
without question the most influential such scholar in our time, particularly
when it comes to the American foreign policy establishment's understanding of
the Muslim world.
This is why it is so disturbing to hear sweepingly, jarringly inaccurate
statements from this pre-eminent historian about Islam on core historical
facts. Andrew Bostom, American Thinker
It's pretty clear if Bernard Lewis had not
excused Islamic antisemitism with the wave of a hand, the Pali Arabs
would not be receiving a7.4 billion dollar jiyza
As it happens, I began the calendar year thinking about this subject —
exonerating Islam — while discussing a PBS documentary on anti-semitism in the
Islamic world. The show's conclusion: What isn't Israel's fault is that of the
West.
Well, you can't expect much more from (lefty) PBS. What was
startling about the message, however, was one of the messenger's: none other
than the eminent historian Bernard Lewis. He declared that anti-semitism didn't
even exist in the Middle East until European Christian colonizers brought it.
You don't need to be a scholar of Mr. Lewis' stature to know that European
colonization of the Middle East didn't begin until some 1,100 years after
Islamic anti-semitism got going in the Koran, the canonical commentaries on the
Koran and in a long and painful (for Christians also) historical record.
West explains;
But first, a digression: Christmas, obviously, doesn't come to the PA, even if
Western billions do. Despite a tiny (and decreasing) number of
Christians, the PA is a land of Islam-Dar al-IslamThat makes Israel, the object of the PA's destructive animus, Dar al-Harb, land of war, right?
Right.
But not according to the PC script of the "international community." We
never, ever discuss the Islamic context of "Arab-Israeli" conflicts.
But how else can we hope to understand them? Jihad ideology inspires
the Arab struggle against Israel. It also explains it. As the only
non-Muslim country amid Middle Eastern Dar-al Islam, as the only
"dhimmi" nation to reclaim its land once conquered by Islam, Israel's
very existence is a religious offense to the "umma," or Islamic
community. In this same context, what we call "foreign aid" to the PA
may be understood as a form of "jizya," the protection money paid to
Muslims by non-Muslims.
But the non-Muslim world prefers not
to think like that. We avert our collective eye from the goals of
jihad, from the history and teachings of Islam. Instead, we see
ourselves as villains — Israel for its existence, and Israel's
supporters for, well, their support for Israel's existence.
In
so doing, we create a sinkhole of Western guilt and responsibility for
suffering Muslims, in this case in the PA. They suffer not as a
consequence of their religio-political bloodlust to destroy the Jews in
Israel (the nearest infidels), but because there are Jews in Israel. In
other words, it's everyone else's fault but their own. Islam —
particularly, jihadist ideology — is not to blame. Throw more money
down the hole.
Bernard Lewis Gets It Wrong. "why is Lewis making statements contradicted by the historical
record? To be sure, if it were true that Europe were the source of
Islamic evil-- in this case, Anti-Semitism and authoritarianism--that
would let Islam off the hook and put the blame on the West. Whether
that is Lewis' point, it is certainly Lewis' effect. " Andrew Bostom
December 18, 2007 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - On Sunday December
16, Dhabah Almontaser, the recently ousted principal of Brooklyn's embattled
Arab language school Khalil Gibran International Academy, spoke as part of a
series called the "Masked Talkback Series," held at the Daryl Roth 2 theater.
The "talkback series" being organized around the controversial, pro-Intifada
off-Broadway play, "Masked." Written by Israeli Ami Dayan, the plot revolves
around the killing of a 7 year old Palestinian youth and the tension experienced
within a Palestinian family, involved in the Intifada, who suspect that one of
the family's three brothers is an Israeli informant, see "Masked" website,
http://www.maskedtheplay.com/index_enter.html.
Almontaser's presence at the event [listen to audio file here, Almontaser
Masked] brings her full circle back to the subject which was the tipping
point, turning the tide against her effort to remain the head of KGIA.
Almontaser's remarks at the event betray a level of deception that might be
shocking to those who fail to understand that misrepresentations and outright
lies are stock-in-trade among Islamists - pushed with much histrionics by groups
like CAIR - who have made the strategic calculation that in a world where
multiculturalism and moral equivalency are in ascendance, legitimate critics of
radical Islam can be muzzled, dismissed as bigoted Islamophobes.
Towards that end Almontaser's remarks spun a conspiratorial tale in which she
was intentionally set up and "smeared" by a coalition led by certain New York
and alternative media sources and shepherded back-stage along the way by the
omnipresent bogeyman, the noted Middle East historian Dr. Daniel Pipes.
Even a partial transcript [13:50 - 24:12] is damning:
"The school was announced on February 12…a couple of days later
the bloggers began to blog, so the notorious Daniel Pipes started blogging about
the school as being a school that would be developing home grown terrorists,
suicide bomber…"
Anyone with a computer and an Internet connection can access Pipes' blogs on
KGIA; they are collected here.
On March 7 of this year he wrote:
"My take on the school: In principle it is a great idea – the United States
needs more Arabic-speakers."
Thus during the time frame to which Almontaser refers, not only absent from
Pipes' entries are any references to "home grown terrorists" or "suicide
bombers," but rather, verbiage clearly supportive of KGIA conceptually. His
reservations regarding implementation of such a program, "...In practice,
however, Arabic instruction is heavy with Islamist and Arabist overtones and
demands." - are scholarly, reserved and stripped entirely of invective.
On this charge if Almontaser is not simply lying, she is delusional, neither
desirable traits for someone who is still employed by the New York DOE.
Almontaser continues:
"…the second phase of the smear was actually on me, where they
started calling me an Islamic jihadist…behind those closed doors I was going to
be developing terrorists…"
PipeLineNews.org has actively covered KGIA and Ms. Almontaser. We, not Dr.
Pipes [who has never been one of our writers and has no connection to our
organization] produced the short video mentioned in the court filing in
Almontaser's lawsuit against the NY DOE for wrongful termination. We believe
that our statements in that work are characteristic of what the overwhelming
majority of critics of that school and her inept stewardship of it have said.
Andrew Bostom writes me, "why is Lewis making statements contradicted by the historical record? To be sure, if it were true that Europe were the source of Islamic evil-- in this case, Anti-Semitism and authoritarianism--that would let Islam off the hook and put the blame on the West. Whether that is Lewis' point, it is certainly Lewis' effect. "
Bernard Lewis' position is very dangerous. For the very reason that it is coming from him and not a silver tongued Islamist like, say Tariq Ramadan. If we are going to win this war, we need facts not the wishful thingingof an apologist for Islam.
Whether Bernard Lewis is the greatest scholar of Islam of all time, he is
without question the most influential such scholar in our time, particularly
when it comes to the American foreign policy establishment's understanding of
the Muslim world.
This is why it is so disturbing to hear sweepingly, jarringly inaccurate
statements from this pre-eminent historian about Islam on core historical
facts.
I wrote about one such misstatement early this year after watching a PBS
documentary on Anti-Semitism in the Islamic world. In it, Lewis declared,
mind-bogglingly enough, that Anti-Semitism in the Islamic world was a European
import.
According to the practically oracular authority of Princeton's Bernard
Lewis, never in 1,200 years did Muslims even think of Anti-Semitism, let alone
act on it -- not until European Christian empire-builders introduced the
pathology to the region in the 19th century, what with tales of Christ-killers
and, later, the forged "Protocols of the Elders of Zion."
It wasn't that
those first 1,200 years of Islam and sharia were exactly paradise for Jews,
Lewis said, but Jews were "tolerated" so long as they accepted their
"inferiority." This was a pretty breezy way to dismiss centuries of violence,
oppression, fear and degradation inflicted, according to Islamic law, on
"dhimmi" Jews (and on "dhimmi" Christians for that matter), as copiously
documented by historian Bat Ye'or. But Lewis stuck to this story:
"Anti-Semitism was introduced into the Middle East by
Christians."
Even oracles get it wrong sometimes, I guess,
because Lewis's explanation doesn't square with a long and vivid historical
record, and that includes the Koran. The notion that Christians introduced
Muslims to Anti-Semitism may well be the conventional wisdom -- indeed, it may
even be that nonagenarian Lewis is the source of that conventional wisdom -- but
just as surely as Anti-Semitism historically existed in Christianity, it also
historically existed in Islam. And I can actually footnote that statement
because, quite by chance, the same week the documentary aired, I happened to
read the first chapter of a forthcoming book called "The Legacy of Islamic
Anti-Semitism" by Andrew G. Bostom, author of "The Legacy of Jihad."
That was then. Now Bostom's book
is about to come out in January. It examines the origins of Islamic
Anti-Semitism in the Koran, the canonical commentaries on the Koran, and the
historical record--all of which got going about 1000 years before Queen
Victoria, say, crowned herself empress.
And why does this matter?
The conventional wisdom, as expressed on PBS--and validated by
Bernard Lewis--does two things. It blames Christianity and the West for
introducing Anti-Semitism to a practically Edenic Islamic world, and it
minimizes Islam's non-original sin of partaking of it. Indeed, this same
conventional wisdom suggests that Anti-Semitism is the natural, if unfortunate,
response of "unempowered" Muslims to contemporary political events beyond their
control -- namely, the essentially Christian/Western-sponsored establishment of
the modern state of Israel.
[...]
Now, Lewis has done it again. Writing at The American Thinkerwww.americanthinker.com/2007/12/another_just_so_story.html,
Andrew Bostom reports on Lewis' latest gaffe--namely that authoritarianism in
the Islamic world is a Western import, just like Anti-Semitism. Bostom
writes:
Speaking at a December 10-11, 2007 Rome Conference entitled, "Fighting
for Democracy in the Islamic World," renowned historian Bernard Lewis
intoned,
"The authoritarianism present in the Middle East region is not
part of the Arab and Muslim tradition, but it has been imported from
Europe...."
Bostom goes on to cite copious chapter and verse--including earlier
writings by Lewis himself--that demonstrate that 'the Arab and Muslim
tradition" needed no lessons from Europe on authoritarianism.
Here is the bullshit that the mouthpieces for Islam put forth. Shahina Siddiqui, the president of the Islamic Social Services Association said the following in yesterday's National Post.
"The strangulation death of Ms. Parvez was the result of domestic violence, a problem that cuts across Canadian society and is blind to colour or creed."
"The hijab is rather a public sign of supervised sexual modesty, and marks those wearing it as chattel, leashed to their fathers and brothers as surely as if they were wearing a dog collar."
I pointed out here when I first reported this horrible murder that the media was being deceptive in its reportage. Taqiya is a skill set the western mainstream media has mastered.
But a spokesman for the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CAN) said he is dubious of opinions the girl's death resulted from a clash of cultures.
"Teen rebellion is something that exists in all households in Canada and is not unique to any culture or background," CAIR-CAN's Sameer Zuberi told AFP. "Domestic violence is also not unique to Muslims."
As of last April, the late Edward
Said's "Orientalism," originally published in 1978, was no. 2 on the
best-seller list in Cairo. No. 1was a book arguing that Saddam Hussein hadn't
really been executed — all cell phone video evidence to the contrary, the writer
argued, was a fabrication of the CIA
And what about Tariq Ramadan, the "moderate" Islamic philosopher, son of the
Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna, who is Buruma's preferred dragoman
for liberal Europe? Mr. Warraq debated him in London last month on the question
of the superiority of Western values. "When [Ramadan] gives interviews in
English, he's incredibly evasive. He's not the kind of guy I'd buy a secondhand
car from. If you ask him, 'Do you think lapidation for adultery should be
banned?,' he never says 'yes' categorically. He says things such as, 'At this
moment, it is not applicable' or 'it is not advisable.' Always this
prevarication."
Mr. Warraq's beef with Said, however, is more a matter of reductionism than
prevarication: that "Orientalism" misses two crucial points about human nature
in its discussion of relations between East and West. The first is that even the
worst offenders aren't always motivated by bigotry or grand imperial designs.
The second is that the institutions they erect are often more significant and
enduring than their venality and greed.
Mr. Warraq praises the British of the 18th and 19th centuries for their role
shepherding India's cultural renewal — not to mention in combating the
corruption of British colonialism. Edmund Burke led the moral and legislative
charge against Warren Hastings, the notorious head of the East India Company.
James Prinsep, a secretary of the celebrated Asiatic Society of Bengal, drained
the malarial swamps of Calcutta, restored the collapsing mosque of Aurangzeb
stone by stone, and discovered that once-indecipherable rock inscriptions were
made by the Mughal emperor Asoka Maurya. Mr. Warraq relies on several modern
Indian historians, such as A.L. Basham and Nirad Chaudhuri, to emphasize the
great esteem in which British Orientalists are still held — men such as Henry
Thomas Colebrooke, who agitated for the end of the East India Company's monopoly
and composed a systematic study of Sanskrit and Hindu law as well as the only
authoritative analysis of the Veda; Sir William Jones, the "father of Indian
history" and one of the early discoverers of the Indo-European linguistic nexus
(he thought Sanskrit "more exquisitely refined" than Latin or Greek), and
William Carey, the "father of Bengali prose," who single-handedly restored a
lost literature.
Mr. Warraq is no admirer of the "clash of civilizations" thesis, and — as if
to prove his own point about self-criticism — he says he absorbed a lot of the
negative feedback on "Why I Am Not a Muslim." This is why, in the current
volume, he employs a useful tripartite distinction of Islam borrowed, he says,
from Bernard Lewis: Islam One is the Koran, Islam Two is the hadith, or oral
tradition relating to the words and deeds of the prophet, and Islam Three is
Muslim civilization, which is as variegated as it is large. One and two, Mr.
Warraq says, are incompatible with democracy and human rights. As for three,
"many Muslim feminists try to re-interpret or ignore Koranic passages in order
to improve the lives of all Muslim women. Only time will tell if such strategies
will work." Mr. Warraq tells me: "We're not going to eradicate Islam from the
face of the earth, and I have no wish for it to be… Islam Three is going to
require a lot of sociological and empirical research. One has to be careful when
we talk about Islam, one has to be more specific." This is a courtesy Said
botched, or simply failed to accord, in his examination of the West.
Still not satisfied with the treatment of religions in her son's seventh-grade
textbook, Korina Self aired her concerns Tuesday night at Lodi Unified's board
meeting.
Backed by nearly a dozen family members and friends, Self
delivered a prepared statement asking the board to remove the book "History
Alive!: The Medieval World and Beyond" from classrooms. "To know that a
textbook was selected and put into use by our district that is blatantly
one-sided, whitewashed, and that our children are being spoon-fed this
information with sugar on top ... I feel is negligent and intolerable," Self
said. Self stopped to gather herself several times during her statement,
in which she said the book's description of the Crusades and its definition of
several Islamic terms, including "Jihad" and "Shari'ah" are
incorrect.
Korina Self and her husband Jim decided to review their
12-year-old son's textbook late last month after hearing that he was learning
about the Prophet Muhammad.
After reading the book, which was published
by the Teachers' Curriculum Institute, the Selfs took issue with what they feel
is an undue amount of attention to the teachings of Islam, historical
inaccuracies and a lack of information on other religions.
Malaysia's Proton Plans to Make 'Islamic Cars' With Iran, Turkey
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) -- Malaysian automaker Proton plans to team up with companies in Iran and Turkey to produce "Islamic cars" for the global market, a news report said Sunday.Proposed by Iran, the collaboration would include installing features in automobiles such as a compass to determine the direction of Mecca for prayers, and compartments for storing the Quran and headscarves, Proton's Managing Director Syed Zainal Abidin told national news agency Bernama.
Do the airbags double as airbags.
"What they (Iran) want to do is to call that an Islamic car," he was quoted as saying while on a visit in Iran. "The car will have all the Islamic features and should be meant for export purposes. We will identify a car that we can develop to be produced in Malaysia, Iran or Turkey."The report didn't give further details.
Syed Zainal and other Proton officials couldn't be reached Sunday for comment.
UPDATE: Ben writes;
Proton's Managing Director Syed Zainal Abidin told national news agency Bernama: "The car will have all the Islamic features..."
Which are what, exactly? I did a little research, and here is what I found:
The horn does not beep. It’s more of a “Lululululululu…!”
If you get a dent, the dealer is expected to destroy the car in an “honor wrecking”.
There is no owner’s manual. You are expected to read the Koran and the Hadiths, and deduce the proper maintenance procedures from there, because the Holy texts contain all that is truth.
You don’t need a license or registration. Instead, different agencies will issue “Driving Fatwas”, which may contradict each other.
The military version looks exactly like the civilian version. The “troop transport” variant is actually painted and equipped to resemble a UN ambulance.
Rear doors have child-proof, woman-proof safety locks.
Exhaust may or may not meet emission standards. No one knows, because the gasses are always concealed from inspectors.
They must be parked facing Mecca. Any parking spots ever used by a Muslim car, even for a short time, are considered Muslim forever after, and must not be used by infidel vehicles.
Muslim cars claim to have won the Gran Prix every year- and they claim this is proved in the Koran.
There are no airbags. Instead, in case of collision, speakers on the car will announce “Allahu Akbar!” just before impact.
Washington, D.C. - Legislation introduced by Representative Keith
Ellison (D-MN) to prohibit photo ID requirements for voting in federal elections
would promote election fraud, say members of the black leadership network
Project 21.
"Representative Ellison's proposal is fundamentally flawed
and potentially harmful to the integrity of our democratic process," said
Project 21 chairman Mychal Massie. "Why invite that which can only lead to
unimaginable fraud and corruption?"
Imposing existing Minnesota election
law on a national scale, the "Voter Access Protection Act of 2007" (H.R. 4026)
would ban the use of photo ID for voter verification in federal elections. Rep.
Ellison calls photo ID requirements "burdensome" and liken them to a "modern-day
poll tax." He further charges that the Bush Administrations enforcement of
voting rights issues effectively promotes "voter suppression of minorities,
seniors and young people."
"The Ellison bill will do nothing more than
encourage situations in which legitimate minority, elderly and poor voters -
among others - will be disfranchised by non-citizens and corrupt political
activists," said Project 21 member Kevin Martin. "Americans are already required
to present photo ID for things such as banking and travel. I must show a photo
ID if I want to try to talk to Representative Ellison about his bill in the
Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol, but I presently do not need to show any
identification to vote for him back in Minnesota. To compare voter security
precautions to a poll tax is reprehensible."
Project 21 members suggest
that voting rights groups - many of which accept taxpayer funds - offer services
to ensure those currently without valid ID can obtain them.
"Photo ID is
not the problem. Photo ID is the solution," added Project 21's Massie. "The
rational and responsible response to complaints about a photo ID requirement is
to help those who absolutely cannot get identification without assistance. If
groups such as ACORN can afford to conduct voter registration and voter
education and transport people to the polls on Election Day, they should
certainly be able to transport and subsidize the cost of IDs for those who need
them as well. If they cannot undertake this pro-active action when they can
afford to lobby and litigate against photo ID requirements, they reveal their
concerns are disingenuous."

BRITISH MANDATE
WORLD WAR II PALESTINE-JEWISH BRIGADE
Despite British-Jewish tensions, thousands of Jewish volunteers served in the British army in scattered units, and on September 14, 1944, the Jewish Brigade was established. The Jewish Brigade of approximately 5,000 soldiers was the only military unit to serve in World War II in the British Army — and, in fact — in all the Allied forces — as an independent, national Jewish military formation.
The Arabs took the side of the Axis, either overtly like Iraq or indirectly by withholding support for the Allies. Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini issued a fatwa- "summons to a holy war against Britain" in May 1941 (see detail below). The Mufti's widely heralded proclamation against Britain was declared in Iraq, where he was instrumental in "the pro-Nazi" Iraqi revolt of 1941.
In the 1930s, the fascist regimes that arose in Italy and Germany sought greater stakes in the Middle East, and began courting Arab leaders to revolt against their British and French custodians. Among their many willing accomplices was Jerusalem Mufti Haj Amin el-Husseini, who fled Palestine after agitating against the British during the Arab Revolt of 1936-39. He found refuge in Iraq – another British mandate – where he again topped the British most wanted list after helping pull the strings behind the Iraqi coup of 1941. The revolt in Baghdad was orchestrated by Hitler as part of a strategy to squeeze the region between the pincers of Rommel's troops in North Africa, German forces in the Caucuses and pro-Nazi forces in Iraq. However, in June 1941 British troops put down the rebellion and the Mufti escaped via Tehran to Italy and eventually to Berlin.
Once in Berlin, the Mufti received an enthusiastic reception by the "Islamische Zentralinstitut" and the whole Islamic community of Germany, which welcomed him as the "Führer of the Arabic world." In an introductory speech, he called the Jews the "most fierce enemies of the Muslims" and an "ever corruptive element" in the world.
Husseini openly encouraged Muslims to join Nazi units that would be later implicated in genocide and crimes against humanity - the infamous Hanjar (or Handschar) 13th Waffen SS division.
Summons to a Intifada Against Britain
A "Fatwa " Issued by Haj Amin al-Husseini10, May, 1941** Translated from:-"Oriente Modemo," 1941, pp. 552-553; broadcast over the 'Iraqi and Axis radios.
In the name of Merciful and Almighty God.
I invite all my Moslem brothers throughout the whole world to join in the Holy War for God, for the defense of Islam and her lands against her enemy. O Faithful, obey and respond to my call.
O Moslems!
Proud 'Iraq has placed herself in the vanguard of this Holy Struggle, and has thrown herself against the strongest enemy of Islam certain that God will grant her victory.
The English have tried to seize this Arab-Moslem land, but she has risen, full of dignity and pride to defend her safety, to fight for her honor and to safeguard her integrity. 'Iraq fights the tyranny which has always had as its aim the destruction of Islam in every land. It is the duty of all Moslems to aid 'Iraq in her struggle and to seek every means to fight the enemy, the traditional traitor in every age and every situation.
Whoever knows the history of the East has everywhere seen the hand of the English working to destroy the Ottoman Empire and to divide the Arab countries. British politics toward the Arab people is masked under a veil of Hypocrisy. The minute she sees her chance, England squeezes the prostrate country in her Imperialist grasp, adding futile justifications. She creates discord and division within a country and while feeding it in secret openly she assumes the role of advisor and trusted hiend. The time when England could deceive the peoples of the East is passed. The Arab Nation and the Moslem people have awakened to fight British domination. The English have overthrown the Ottoman Empire, have destroyed Moslem rule in India, inciting one community against another; they stifled the Egyptian awakening, the dream of Mohammed Ali, colonizing Egypt for half a century. They took advantage of the weakening of the Ottoman Empire to stretch out their hands and use every sort of trick to take possession of many Arab countries as happened to Aden, the 9 Districts, the Hadramut, Oman, Masqat and the Emirates of the Persian Gulf and Transjordania. The vivid proof of the imperialistic designs of the British is to be found in Moslem Palestine which, although promised by England to Sheriff Hussein has had to submit to the outrageous infiltration of Jews, shameful politics designed to divide Arab-Moslem countries of Asia from those of Africa. In Palestine the English have committed unheard of barbarisms; among others, they have profaned the el-Aqsa Mosque and have declared the most unyielding war against Islam, both in deed and in word. The Prime Minister at that time told Parliament that the world would never see peace as long as the Koran existed. What hatred against Islam is stronger than that which publicly declares the Sacred Koran an enemy of human kind? Should such sacrilege go unpunished? After the dissolution of the Moslem Empire in India and of the Ottoman Caliphate, England, adhering to the policy of Gladstone, pursued her work of destruction to Islam depriving many Islamic States both in the East and in the West of their freedom and independence. The number of Moslems who today live under the rule of England and invoke liberation from their terrible yoke exceeds 220,000,000.
Therefore I invite you, O Brothers, to join in the War for God to preserve Islam, your independence and your lands from English aggression. I invite you to bring all your weight to bear in helping 'Iraq that she may throw off the shame that torments her. O Heroic 'Iraq, God is with Thee, the Arab Nation and the Moslem World are solidly with Thee in Thy Holy Struggle!

UPDATED: Dr. Steve Carol, Middle East Consultant Salem Radio Network News, Prof. of History (retired), Associate Producer and Historian of Middle East Radio Forum adds this;
That the overwhelming number of Muslims fought on the Axis side is historic fact – from the spy ring in Cairo (of which Nasser and Sadat were part) to the coup by Rashid Ali Gailiani in Iraq, to the Muslim Bosnian SS (in the picture) – they favored the Axis and the Axis genocidal policies.
The emblem, no doubt newly created, is of importance. Note it places the Quran ABOVE the symbols of the United States – the eagle and the Stars and Stripes. It is a re-emphasis, though subtle, that Muslims place Sharia religious law above the secular US Constitution.
1. The “Palestinian people” have an historic connection to the
land.
This is very interesting since there is no such thing as a
“Palestinian people.” When the Romans changed the name of Israel to Palestine,
the people living there at the time were Jews, not Arabs. If there had been a
Palestinian people, which there never was, it would have been Jews.
2.
The Palestinian people have been in the land from time
immemorial. For centuries pre-Israel Palestine was a forgotten,
desolate wasteland inhabited by a remnant of Jews, along with some Christians
and wandering Bedouins who certainly had no thought of a national identity of
any kind.
3.There were no Jews in Palestine until Israel became a
state in 1948.
The Romans officially banished the Jews from Israel
(Palestine) in 135 CE. However, historical records show there was always a
Jewish presence in the land. While many were scattered, other Jews simply moved
out of “harm’s way” until a less hostile power ruled the land.
4.
Arabs and Jews lived in harmony before Israel became a
state.
Throughout the centuries, Jews as well as Christians, living
under Islamic rule suffered persecution and humiliation, the intensity of which
was determined by the character of a particular Moslem ruler. As second class
citizens, there was never a “good time” for non-Moslems living under Islamic
rule.
5.The returning Jews displaced the Palestinian
Arabs
The ancestors of most of the present-day Arab population
migrated to the land after Jewish pioneers began to reclaim the land. They came
from many different countries and were not original inhabitants of the
land.
6. The Jews stole Arab land
Jews returning to the
land settled on unclaimed, unoccupied land or bought land from absentee Arab
landowners at outrageously high prices.
7. The Jews forced Arabs to
flee Palestine
When Israel was declared a state in 1948, leaders
from the surrounding Arab countries declared war on Israel and instructed the
Arabs living in the land to flee until the Jews were annihilated. Israeli
leaders, to no avail, urged the Arabs to stay.
8. The Jews caused the
Arab refugee problem
If Arab countries would assimilate and care
for the “Palestinian” refugees, as Israel did for their Jewish refugees, there
would be no refugee problem. Instead they use them as political pawns in their
struggle against Israel.
9. Israel is the aggressor against
defenseless Palestinians
In its brief history, Israel has had one
war after another and each time they are blamed as the aggressor. The Arabs do
not recognize the right of Israel to exist and are in a constant state of
hostility against Israel. Their aim is to destroy Israel.
10.
Jerusalem is holy to Moslems
While Jerusalem is mentioned over
eight hundred times in the Bible, it is not mentioned one time in the Koran.
Moslems have had little or no interest in Jerusalem until the Jewish presence in
modern times.

A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.
Life has Loveliness to sell,
All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,
And children's faces looking up,
Holding wonder like a cup
Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you,
arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.
Spend all you have for loveliness,
Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
