Five years into Obama's presidency, he is finally consulting with the Republicans and Congress. Too little, too late. We would not be in this dire shape had he not ruled like an autocrat, and as Ayn Rand said, "...the suicidal view that our foreign policy must be guided, not by considerations of national self-interest..." The catastrophic consequences of Obama's foreign policy are a result of his allegiances and alliances, not America's. We lost Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and a contained Syria because of his pro-jihadist support abroad and stateside.
How is the Obama administration vetting the "opposition" in Syria? He isn't. Will the Republicans present evidence at Senate hearing on Syria that al Qaeda/Muslim Brotherhood jihadis used sarin gas in Syria, or has the GOP all but disappeared?
It is strangely amsuing and bemusing that Obama's case for war mirrors the Bush motive for his war in Iraq (but it is far less persuasive).
UPDATE: When questioned in today's hearing, General Martin Dempsey can't even answer what it is Obama is seeking in going to war in Syria.
UPDATE: Kerry: "Failure to take military action against Syria would send dangerous signal to Iran, North Korea" u.afp.com/4Ct
Wrong. Failure to support the Christians, Alawites, Kurds in Syria will send a dangerous signal to Iran, Egypt, Libya etc. #syria
