When they are aren't killing non-Muslims (perhaps because they've been ethnically cleansed under the sharia), they are killing each other.
Bomber Hits Sunni Funeral as Attacks Mount in Iraq NY Times, September 22, 2013
Two attacks in northern Iraq earlier Sunday left 2 policemen dead and 37 other people wounded, police officials added.
On Saturday, 104 people died in attacks, most of them in a double suicide bombing at a Shiite funeral here.
More than 4,000 people have been killed between April and August, a level of carnage not seen since 2006 to 2008, when Iraq was nearing civil war.
In the earlier attacks on Sunday, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden car into a residential area of Kirkuk, wounding 35 people, Brig. Gen. Anwar Mohammed Qadir of the Kirkuk police said. The bomber targeted a Kurdish educational office and the adjacent house of a Christian lawmaker, General Qadir said. Seven members of the lawmaker’s family were among those wounded.
Kirkuk is home to an ethnic mix of Arabs, Kurds and Turkmens, who all have competing claims to the oil-rich area.
Hours after that bombing, the police said a roadside bomb struck a security convoy near Mosul, killing two police officers and wounding two others.
The acting United Nations envoy in Iraq, Gyorgy Busztin, condemned the bombings, and urged the government to increase security and Iraqis to refrain from revenge attacks.
“Retaliation can only bring more violence and it is the responsibility of all leaders to take strong action not to let violence escalate further,” Mr. Busztin said in a statement Sunday.
Hospital officials confirmed the casualty figures for all attacks.
