First, Zeinab Chaudry works for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Hamas front group. According to Robert Spencer, CAIR is "an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department...CAIR operatives have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups....Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror, and...CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements....CAIR’s California chapter distributed posters telling Muslims not to talk to the FBI."
This is the organization that the Baltimore Sun gives space to defame me. Unconscionable.
The tide of Islamophobia by Zeinab Chaudry, Baltimore Sun, January 14
Today, the Maryland Conservative Action Network (MDCAN) is hosting a daylong conference in Annapolis entitled "Turning the Tides." Those scheduled to attend include Republican state Dels. Nic Kipke and Neil Parrott, Frederick County Board of Commissioners President Blaine Young, and former Republican candidates for federal office Dan Bongino and Ken Timmerman.
Unfortunately, instead of selecting a legitimate conservative activist as headline speaker, MDCAN has chosen Pamela Geller, the leader of a designated hate group and one of America's most virulent Islamophobes.
Ms. Geller has most recently received media attention for posting inflammatory ads in metro stations across the country equating Muslims with savages and inciting hatred and fear of Muslims post-Sept. 11. She heads Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA), which the Southern Poverty Law Center considers a hate group.
Inflammatory? To whom? Violent jihadists? The ad said, "In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad." It clearly refers to jihadists who target Israeli civilians, not all Muslims, as savages. Like so many other leftists and Islamic supremacists, Chaudry is reading into my ad the idea that "all Muslims" are savages who want to destroy Israel. That is nowhere in my message. They are the ones who are assuming that to talk about jihadist savages is to talk about all Muslims, which means that they are the Islamophobes and racists. The rush to assure the world that the "Palestinian" jihadists are not savages amazes me. The war on Israel is a war on innocent civilians. The targeting of civilians is savage. The relentless 60-year campaign of terror against the Jewish people is savage. The torture of hostage Gilad Shalit was savage. The bloody hacking to death of the Fogel family was savage. The Munich Olympic massacre was savage. The unspeakable torture of Ehud Goldwasser was savage. The tens of thousands of rockets fired from Gaza into southern Israel (into schools, homes, etc.) are savage. The vicious Jew-hatred behind this genocide is savage. The endless demonization of the Jewish people in the Palestinian and Arab media is savage. The refusal to recognize the state of Israel as a Jewish state is savage. The list is endless.
The Southern Poverty Law Center fraudulently parades around as a civil rights group (like Hamas-CAIR), when in fact it is an uber-left communist organization that is bent on destroying those who are fighting for freedom, such as vets, tea parties and counter jihadists. The SPLC was designated one of the gravest threats to freedom in the United States on the AFDI Threats to Freedom Index.
SPLC has named me three hate groups. lml. I equate the Southern Poverty Law Center coming out for Islamic supremacists with them coming out for Nazis. What's the difference, and why doesn't the SPLC even have a category for Islamic jihadi groups or uber-left groups bent on destroying America? Not one. The greatest threat facing our nation, our people, our world, and they are shilling for them and smearing those of us fighting for preservation of our freedom.
Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the SPLC was designated as a Communist front. It was essentially run by a couple, Anne and Carl Braden, who were CPUSA members. They had been identified in sworn testimony, and they made no attempt to deny the allegations. They would be proud that their legacy remains intact -- their "heirs," destroyers and America-haters, continue their work to subvert and destroy America. (more here)
Ms. Geller bragged online that she uses a Quran, Islam's holy text, as a doorstop.
That's from an article I wrote in the American Thinker. I was mocking the giant qurans that Hamas-CAIR gives out to inquirers. They actually had Michael Ghouse give me one on the set of Hannity. The article explains how even the quran that Hamas-CAIR gives out doesn't succeed in whitewashing Islam's violent and supremacist teachings. And anyway, so what? I am not a Muslim. I do not adhere to sharia rules governing how they handle the book they think is holy. Instead of making mountains out of molehills, when will they work to reform the quran's hateful and violent texts? When will they denounce the rising tide of quran-based Islamic Jew-hatred?
Two hotels in Texas and Tennessee canceled contracts to host events at which Ms. Geller was scheduled to speak because of her controversial reputation.
They did that because Zainab Chaudry's thuggish organization, Hamas-CAIR, bullied and intimidated them into doing so, in their rage and hate against those who speak the truth about Islam and jihad, and insatiable desire to silence them. Hamas-CAIR stalks me across the country (and my colleagues who champion our freedoms) in order to intimidate and bully hotels, organizatons, and venues into sharia blasphemy compliance. The Hyatt in Sugarland apologized for caving and gave me Hyatt space for free anywhere we wanted across the country. I chose Dearborn, and held the first human rights conference dedicated to the victims of honor killings, The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference.
According to testimony by Nazi war criminals, the Mufti's influence was critical to the German decision to annihilate the Jews of Europe. Quran 3:28 says: "Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying."
Robert Spencer explains that quran 3:28 "warns believers not to take unbelievers as friends (َأَوْلِيَا — a word that means more than casual friendship, but something like alliance), 'unless it be that ye but guard yourselves against them.' This is a foundation of the idea that believers may legitimately deceive unbelievers when under pressure. The word used here in the Arabic is tuqātan (تُقَاةً), the verbal noun from taqiyyatan — hence the increasingly familiar term taqiyya. The Qur'an commentator Ibn Kathir says that the phrase rendered here as 'unless you have a fear of them' means that 'believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers' may 'show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, "We smile in the face of some people although our hearts curse them." Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, "The Tuqyah [taqiyya] is allowed until the Day of Resurrection."' While many Muslim spokesmen today maintain that taqiyya is solely a Shi’ite doctrine, shunned by Sunnis, the great Islamic scholar Ignaz Goldziher points out that while it was formulated by Shi’ites, 'it is accepted as legitimate by other Muslims as well, on the authority of Qur’an 3:28.' The Sunnis of Al-Qaeda practice it today."
She has also posted images on her blog that include a fake photograph of then-Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan in a Nazi uniform, another fake image of President Barack Obama urinating on an American flag, and drawings purporting to depict Islam's Prophet Muhammad as a pig. In the past, she has suggested on her blog that President Obama was the secret love-child of Malcolm X, and she has expressed support for the urination on corpses of dead Afghans by U.S. soldiers.
Kagan: that was a single satirical photoshop image, posted after it was revealed that Kagan had cited in her thesis a German Marxist who became a Nazi when Hitler took power. And Kagan was photoshopped as Colonel Schultz from farcical Hogan's Heroes. But Islamic supremacists are not well know for their humor.
Obama: his anti-American policies are as open to satire as anything else. Muhammad as a pig: that was actually an image that imams falsely claimed was one of the notorious Danish Muhammad cartoons in order to stir up Muslim rage against those cartoons and the West's freedom of speech; I posted it as a news item. Malcolm X: Actually, this statement from Pamela Geller heads the actual post in question: “The ‘Atlas says that Barack Obama is Malcolm X’s love child’ charge has gone viral among leftards and lizards. The only problem with it is that it is false. I am not the author of this post, and I posted it because the writer did a spectacular job documenting Obama’s many connections with the Far Left. The Malcolm X claim is one minor part of this story, and was of interest to me principally as part of the writer’s documentation that Stanley Ann Dunham could not have been where the Obama camp says she was at various times. I do not believe that Barack Obama is Malcolm X’s love child, and never did -- but there remain many, many unanswered questions about his early life and upbringing.” Urinating on corpses: when those who are outraged by this get just as outraged over the murders of American soldiers by their Afghan "allies," call me.
Disturbingly, this is not the first time MDCAN has invited guest speakers who are well-known bigots and anti-Muslim fanatics and who aggressively advocate against religious and ethnic minorities. The troubling list of speakers at past MDCAN events includes Frank Gaffney, another well-known Islamophobe who was extensively cited, along with Ms. Geller, by Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik in his chilling manifesto released in the wake of the 2011 Norway attacks, and Fred Grandy, a former radio show host and former congressman who has actively promoted conspiracy theories of "creeping Sharia" and who has warned Americans repeatedly that Muslims working within our government are cause for concern.
It is almost inconceivable that one passing reference in a 1,516-page screed would be sufficient for the Islamic/leftist machine to have assigned blame to me, and to those of us who are working diligently to educate the people and preserve our cherished freedoms. And yet libelous Hamas groups like CAIR and their leftist tools in the media do just that. Breivik, in his madness, cited Edmund Burke, Thomas Jefferson, Barack Obama, et al -- were they responsible as well? Breivik specifically quoted John F. Kennedy, a hero of the American Left, as inspiration: "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
Without question, we at the Maryland chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations uphold the constitutional right to free speech.
