Federal Court Hearing Today in Defense of Tulsa Police Captain Punished for Refusing to Attend Islamic Proselytizing Event at Mosque

The leading First Amendment lawyer, Robert Muise of the American Freedom Law Center, along with his legal partner, David Yerushalmi, has represented me and triumphed in numerous lawsuits in defense of freedom of speech against governments in New York and Dearborn. Now he is going up against the intolerable persecution of Captain Paul Fields, a Tulsa police officer who dhimmi officials punished for refusing to attend a mandatory Islamic supremacist dawah event at a local mosque.

Today, Robert J. Muise, Co-Founder and Senior Counsel of the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC), is presenting oral argument at a hearing in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma on behalf of Captain Paul Fields, a Tulsa police officer who was summarily punished for refusing to attend a mandated Islamic proselytizing event held at a local mosque.  

The hearing will be held before Chief Judge Gregory K. Frizzell at 1:30 p.m. CT in Room 411 at the federal courthouse located at 333 West Fourth Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  The media and public are welcome to attend. 

Muise will be arguing in support of AFLC’s motion for summary judgment, which asserts that the undisputed facts demonstrate that the City of Tulsa and its senior police officials retaliated against Captain Fields – a practicing Christian – for exercising his constitutional right to the free exercise of religion.

This should be interesting. This could not happen in the UK, the plod are SO throughly politicised that refusal is professional suicide.

My daughter went to U Tulsa. I was amazed she chose that school as she could have gone anywhere but after meeting these good Christian people who live in Tulsa I was soo delighted she chose it. It is a a very Christian city and that is why the bastards are doubling their efforts to subvert the entire culture there. Pray for this good man. No muslim would ever be put on trial for refusing to attend a Christian church. My God that would be against his freedom of religion! Christians sadly are not protected by any freedom of religion laws anywhere in the world and so tragedies of this sort occur! I pray for Christians and Jews worldwide as we enter a new era of persecution.

Compulsory attendance of religious service is PC, nativity scenes erected at private expense on public land, intolerable. Somewhere the point of this amendment, freedom of conscience, got subverted by the symbolic imperative of supressing select religious expression for political ends.

How are any of us expected to trust a police department whose administration would issue such an order or, and worse, the office of a City Attorney where the Senior Assistant City Attorney would be allowed to lie about what orders were actually given and how they were understood at the time even by the Tulsa 'dhimmitude' World who were clearly on the side of the Police Chief and his Chief Assistant in ordering Captain Fields to attend? Given how most Oklahomans feel about Islam and the threat of Sharia law, these politicians and city officials from the mayor on down would seem to be taking a huge risk in supporting such forced attendance.
