DEFENDING THE WEST
Obama's Jews for Jihad
Exclusive: Pamela Geller drubs those doing 'the step 'n fetchit for Islamic supremacism'
Read the rest here. Now.Steve Bynum from WBEZ (NPR Chicago) called it “the hottest story in Chicago”: Our American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) anti-jihad ads calling for support of persecuted minorities living under the Shariah went up on buses in Chicago last week. And as if on cue, dhimmi Jews in Obama’s old stomping grounds immediately did the step ‘n fetchit for Islamic supremacism. Taking their cue from the Jewish councils of Germany and the judenrat that sold out their own people, they immediately denounced the ads.
Oh, the irony. Where is their vocal opposition to the vicious Jew-hatred in Islamic media, mosques and madrassas? Where are these Jewish groups condemning the howls for blood that come daily in the Muslim media outlets from Morocco to Indonesia, calling for the killing of the Jews and saying that Muslims have a duty to destroy Israel?
Are we to extrapolate from this that these Jewish groups support the persecution of Christians in Egypt and Nigeria, Hindus in Pakistan, Bahais in Iran, and more? That’s not a Jewish lesson I remember learning in my Talmud classes.
The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA) condemned my ads as hateful. But in reality, my ads – which read, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat jihad” – are not hate speech. Variant ads spoke of supporting our troops, supporting the Copts, supporting the Nigerian Christians, and more. The ads speak to the defense of freedom and individual rights for all. There’s nothing hateful about that. 9/11 was hate. 3/11 in Madrid was hate. 7/7 in London was hate. The Fort Hood jihadi was hate. The Christmas underwear bomber was hate. The Fort Dix Six was hate. Pushing back against such hate is not hate.
Asaf Bar-Tura, program director for the JCUA in Chicago, sniveled: “This whole campaign insinuates that Muslims are violent.” No, Mr. Bar-Tura. You are insinuating that all Muslims are violent. You are insinuating that all Muslims support jihad terror, which the mainstream media denies in other contexts. My ads do no such thing. These Jewish “leaders” are failing not just the Jews in Israel, but all persecuted and oppressed people. Did we not learn our lesson from World War II? Did we not have to make amends for our gross negligence while millions were slaughtered?
Bar-Tura’s position on my ads is an affront to Jewish values. I expect the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to denounce our ads. Their mission by objective is to advance Islamic supremacism, Shariah and jihad. Of course they’re going to oppose champions of freedom. It specifically states in the document from the Muslim Brotherhood project that groups like Hamas-CAIR use “media, money and men” to impose Shariah.
Judy Levey, the executive director of JCUA, said that my ad promoted “hate,” which is “not a Jewish value and it certainly isn’t an American value.” But actually what isn’t a Jewish value is attacking Jews for speaking the truth and providing cover to annihilationists and their genocidal rhetoric. This group had nothing to say when Hillary Clinton called the Libyan jihadists “a small and savage group,” or when the New York Times printed a piece by a Tunisian citizen calling Tunisian Islamic supremacists “bearded savages.” Their outrage, in other words, is politically motivated and selective – and ultimately suicidal.
Leading Jewish voices like Caroline Glick, Martin Sherman, Paul Schnee, Steve Goldberg and Lori Lowenthal-Marcus support my ads. So this shows the diversity of opinion within Judaism, which is a notable contrast to the Muslim community – where are the moderate Muslims speaking out in support of my ad?
I doubt that the Jewish Council knows anything about the jihad doctrine that relentlessly seeks to violently impose Islamic law and pursues jihad against non-Muslims, or about the Islamic anti-Semitism that is deeply ingrained in the Quran and Sunnah, and that identifies the Jews as the worst enemies of the Muslims (Quran 5:82) and under Allah’s curse (Quran 9:30). When have they spoken out against that hate, because of which Jews suffer daily? When have they called upon Muslim leaders to reform the Quran and expunge its virulently anti-Semitic texts, which are routinely quoted on Palestinian Authority TV as justifying endless warfare against the state of Israel and Jews everywhere?
The Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood groups known as the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America are having their convention in Chicago in December. The Muslim Brotherhood is dedicated in its own words, according to a captured internal document, to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within.” They are deeply committed to the jihad against Israel. Where is the Jewish Council’s condemnation of that? The oddest aspect of this entire episode is their complete indifference to, and apparent unawareness of, the great threat the Jews of Israel and elsewhere are under. They manifest a toxic mix of childlike trust, leftist indoctrination and self-hatred.
Of course, the notorious pro-jihad Tribune “journalist” Manya Brachear was only too happy to serve in the cause of Islam in her coverage. Hey, it’s what she does. Her story for the Tribune quoted Hamas-CAIR operative Ahmed Rehab, yet while it focused on the version of the ad that read “Support the Copts,” Brachear didn’t bother to interview any Copts about the escalating Muslim persecution of Christians in Egypt, or any of the myriad members of our freedom coalition, which includes Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists and Muslims of conscience.
