The death toll mounts, as precious soldiers' lives are sacrificed in an incoherent and incomprehensible mission, impossible rules of engagement, and repeated extended overseas deployments.
Two more dead in "green (the color of Islam) on blue" attacks. This just days after two other heroes were murdered by Obama's failed strategic Afghan policy, following another slaughter of three US soldiers murdered during the Ramadan meal (the meal that one of the victims, Captain Menoukian, insisted that his Marines observe). Despite the respect, subservience and dhimmitude displayed by the US military, they were murdered anyway. That is jihad.
These acts of jihad were "virtually unheard of just a few years ago" when America was the "strong horse." Before Obama, there were no green-on-blue attacks. But Obama's anti-freedom pro-jihad foreign policy has given the global jihad a new lease on death, and all but erased whatever gains were made under Bush. Obama has resurrected the Taliban.
Summer Death Toll: America's War Dead
How many have to be slaughtered before the fantasists let go of their delusion? Obama is still stalking the Taliban as a peace partner while they spit in his face and slaughter our boys and girls, and behead Afghans who dare to attend a party where dancing takes place. Such an anti-freedom, pro-jihad foreign policy is madness. These open attacks on coalition forces and less devout Muslims are daily now. The supreme leader of the Taliban boasted on Thursday night that the insurgents are infiltrating the quickly expanding Afghan forces.
Why isn't Romney talking about this?
Two U.S. Troops Killed by Rogue Afghan Soldier By REUTERS (hat tip Ken)
The deaths in Laghman province brought to 12 the number of foreign soldiers killed this month, prompting NATO to increase security against insider attacks, including requiring soldiers to carry loaded weapons at all times on base.
They also come a week after U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Martin Dempsey visited Kabul to talk about rogue shootings and urge Afghan officials to take tougher preventative action.
"ISAF troops returned fire, killing the ANA (Afghan National Army) soldier who committed the attack," the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said in a statement.
There have been 33 insider attacks so far this year that have led to 42 coalition deaths. That is a sharp increase from 2011, when, during the whole year, 35 coalition troops were killed in such attacks, 24 of whom were American.
Afghanistan's government said on Wednesday it would re-examine the files of 350,000 soldiers and police to help curb rogue shootings of NATO personnel, but accused "foreign spies" of instigating the attacks.
The killings, many of which have been claimed by the Taliban as evidence of insurgent reach and infiltration, have eroded trust between the NATO-Afghan allies and are complicating plans for transition to Afghan security within two years.
NATO commanders have played down the threat of infiltration, blaming most of the shootings on stress or personal differences between Afghans and their Western advisers that ended at the point of a gun, a frequent occurrence in Afghanistan
