The widow of one of the 7/7 bombers is writing a chilling web diary while on the run from police after being named as the prime suspect for a deadly terror attack in Kenya.

In the haunting blog, Samantha Lewthaite, whose husband Jermaine Lindsay blew up a Piccadilly Line train during the London attacks in 2005, says “fear can make you do many things” and warns she faces “many more challenges” in the months ahead.

Her blog Fears and Tears: the Confessions of a Female Muhajid is the first time Lewthaite, 28, has made any attempt to communicate with the outside world since she fled to Africa.

Its emergence comes amid a worldwide search for Lewthwaite – dubbed the “White Widow” – as she is hunted over claims she took part in a grenade attack in Kenya which killed three football fans watching the Italy versus England Euro 2012 game in a bar last Sunday.

Just three days before the blast she posted a lengthy message on her blog admitting she had “no regrets” about converting to Islam and waging Jihad.

She wrote: “My decision to revert to Islam is the most precious gift that my maker has bestowed upon me.

“From a previous life of sin and worshiping of worldly things I have lived for many years now as Muslim content with serving Allah with the knowledge that I have a place in Jannah [Paradise].”

Her rambling message goes on: “Like many revertees I have been tested and challenged but each time Allah has guided me towards the right path and ensured my faith in my religion remains constant.

“During the month of April and May I faced a great challenges (sic). Some friends have told me I have over-reacted because I’m a woman and weak.

“Yes, I am woman but I am woman who believes in Jihad and supremacy of Islam.

“With all this pressure I broke down in tears... Jihad is an obligation that we must accept – so today I’m over my fear and my tears are dry.”

The extraordinary diary has appeared on the website of the Muslim Youth Center – the Kenyan arm of Islamic militant group Al-Shabaab. On the morning of the attack in Kenya a message was posted on the site saying: “BOOM!!! Mujahideen making music.”

Hints about an attack were also posted on the MYC’s Twitter account, saying: “Tick tock there goes the count-down for the kuffar...”

It appeared alongside an image of a woman Hamas fighter brandishing an assault rifle.

Muslim Ambassadors deny cash prize to Award-winning Algerian author for visiting Israel

Hamas calls the shots for a French literary award. And an Arab [Muslim] League spokesperson declares that the Arab [Muslim] League is in a state of war with Israel.

A spokeswoman for the Arab [Muslim] Ambassadors Council claimed that the council’s decision had not been influenced by the Hamas statement on the matter. However, she said, “The Ambassadors are subject to the official position of the Arab [Muslim] League which considers itself effectively in a state of war with Israel. The council is obliged to follow directives from the Arab [Muslim] League. Every ambassador regrets that this has happened. They would never want to interfere with literature.”

Arab [Muslim] ambassadors withdraw prize from Boualem Sansal because he attended Jerusalem Writers Festival; Hamas accused him of ‘treason’ against the Palestinians

Well-known Algerian writer Boualem Sansal received a prestigious French literary award Thursday. However, he did not get the prize of 15,000 euros he had been slated to receive, as the fact that he had visited Israel prompted the Arab [Muslim] sponsors of the prize to withdraw their support, according to a report by French24.

The Editions Gallimard Arabic Novel prize has been granted by the Arab Ambassadors Council, which is based in Paris, since 2008. In the past, the prize was comprised of both an award and a cash prize.

Sansal was nominated for the prize for his book “Rue Darwin” (Darwin Street). However, after being named the winner, he attended the Jerusalem Writers Festival, which took place in May. He was invited to the festival as the guest of honor. Palestinian groups slammed his decision to attend, with Hamas reportedly calling his participation “an act of treason against the Palestinian people.”

After a protracted argument, Sansal was given his award on Thursday, but without the prize money, France24 reported.

Commenting on the decision to withdraw the prize money, laureate Sansal said it was “completely unacceptable,” adding that Arab [Muslim] countries – and his home country, Algeria, in particular – had “shut themselves in a prison of intolerance.”

Sansal added that in order to truly help the Palestinians, individuals like himself should be able to visit Israel freely. “Yes, there are complicated relations with Israel, but we are not at war with them,” he said.

French cultural figures were quick to denounce the council’s decision as a capitulation to Hamas pressure.

France Culture radio director Olivier Poivre d’Avror said the prize money had been withdrawn as a “sordid” consequence of Hamas pressure. “Between being nominated for the prize and actually receiving it, Boualem Sansal visited Israel … Hamas immediately issued a statement calling his presence an act of treason against the Palestinians. The reaction of Arab Ambassadors Council was a direct result of this,” France24 quoted him as saying.

French-Lebanese writer and jury member Venus Houry-Ghata said that although “the ambassadors have to do what their governments tell them … the jury believes culture, and in this case a novel, should not be restricted by borders or by politics.” She added that the jury would continue to grant the award in the future.

A spokeswoman for the Arab Ambassadors Council claimed the council’s decision had not been influenced by the Hamas statement on the matter.

NORFOLK - The Navy will not use a target depicting a Muslim woman holding a gun at a new training range for SEALs in Virginia Beach.

The announcement came hours after the [Hamas-linked] Council on American-Islamic Relations asked the Pentagon to remove the target. A picture of the cardboard target, which shows a woman in a headscarf holding a pistol, was published in The Virginian-Pilot on Tuesday. The image shows verses of the Quran hanging on the wall behind the woman, which also generated criticism from the group.

Nihad Awad, executive director of the [Hamas-linked] Washington-based council, said in the letter to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta dated Friday that the target "is offensive and sends a negative and counterproductive message to trainees and to the Muslim-majority nations to which they may be deployed."

Panetta's press office did not respond to a request for comment. Late Friday, Lt. David Lloyd, a spokesman for Naval Special Warfare Group 2, said the materials in question would not be used on the close quarters combat training range, which was dedicated Monday at Joint Expeditionary Base Fort Story.

"We have removed this particular target and Arabic writing in question from the range in the near term, and will explore other options for future training," Lloyd said....

The 26,500-square-foot building contains 52 interconnected spaces, including mock-ups of markets, a hospital, schools, a bank, a bus depot and two mosques. It will allow small groups of SEALs to practice enemy engagement at close range....

I'm sure the mosques will be going soon as well.

Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the [Hamas-linked] Islamic group, said it's important that military units not be trained to see Muslims as enemies, even if they are fighting in Afghanistan or other Muslim-majority nations.

"There are all kinds of people all over the world trying to do us harm. Why would you use this particular image in training people how to kill?" Hooper asked. "It creates the impression, we believe, in subtle and not-so-subtle ways, that you should view Muslim women in headscarves with hostility and suspicion."...

From now on, this image, approved by Hamas-linked CAIR, will be used as the target:

Tonight's Saturday night cinema classic feature is Room at the Top (1959) with Laurence Harvey and Simone Signoret. Full disclosure: I adore Harvey and will watch anything that he deigns to appear in. But do not let that reflect poorly on this British import. Au contraire, this is one of the most important films in the history of British cinema, and the best acting Harvey ever did -- "in this fine examination of naked ambition, wrong choices and the price paid for them." The intriguing and supremely talented Simone Signoret won an Academy award for her beautiful performance. 

Ruthless young working-class Englishman Laurence Harvey takes a job in a North Country village controlled by millionaire Donald Wolfit. Harvey resents Wolfit's class consciousness and vows to rise to the top by wooing the millionaire's daughter, Heather Sears. Meanwhile he has an affair with Frenchwoman Simone Signoret. .

NY Times film review:

THE cynical, disenchanted and footloose post-war youths of England, who justifiably have been termed "angry," never have been put into sharper focus than in "Room at the Top." The British-made import, which was unveiled at the Fine Arts Theatre yesterday, glaringly spotlights them in a disk of illumination that reveals genuine drama and passion, truth as well as corruption. Although it takes place 3,000 miles away, it is as close to home as a shattered dream, a broken love affair or a man seeking to make life more rewarding in an uneasy world.

Unlike John Osborne, who, in "Look Back in Anger," merely shouted the sensitive younger Britishers' fiery protests against class distinctions and other contemporary English inequities, John Braine, out of whose brilliant first novel this careful dissection was made, is more adult and scientifically observant about a grievous malaise. Mr. Braine, Neil Paterson, the scenarist, and Jack Clayton, who did a superb job in directing an excitingly effective cast, are angry, too. But they see the picture whole. They are basically moral people who know that, come what may, a price must be paid for revolt sometimes.

As has been noted, Mr. Braine is concerned with a type of schemer, whose accent may be exotic but one who is becoming more and more symbolic of the restless young men of the world. In this case, he is Joe Lampton, born to poverty in a North Country manufacturing town but determined to catapult himself out of a world he never made or wanted. As a civil servant in another city, he meets the nubile and naive daughter of the richest tycoon who represents the prize and escape he has been waiting for. But this is a consummation not easily achieved. And, when thrown into the orbit of a married woman, ill-used, worldly wise, anxiously groping for real affection, it is fairly obvious that he will succumb first to lust and then to genuine love.

That this dual affair is doomed to tragedy is inevitable. But the artisans who fashioned this shaky triangle are neither crude nor insensitive. Joe is a calculating, shrewd and realistic campaigner, yearning for wealth and the opportunity to rid himself of low-caste stigma through marriage with the heiress to a great fortune. He is, however, also pictured as a man in whom all conscience has not been killed. He is a hero without medals and one mourning defeat when he should be enjoying victory.

The director and scenarist also have shown us a multidimensional figure in the married woman he is forced to reject, a deed that indelibly underlines the sadness, desperation and tragedy that surrounds these truly ill-fated lovers. And they have done equally well by the rich, sheltered young girl he marries at long last, an untutored youngster wholly engulfed by the sweetness, wonder and uneasiness of first love and sex.

Pamela Geller vs Communist SPLC

While searching for something else entirely, I came upon this video, Pamela Geller vs. the SPLC, which decontructs the lies and smears of the notoriously leftist hate organization, the SPLC. The Southern Poverty Law Center fraudulently parades around as a civil rights group (like Hamas-CAIR), when in fact it is an uber-left communist organization that is bent on destroying those who are fighting for freedom, such as vets, tea parties and counter jihadists. The SPLC was designated one of the gravest threats to freedom in the United States on the AFDI Threats to Freedom Index.

SPLC has named me three hate groups. lml. I equate the Southern Poverty Law Center coming out for Islamic supremacists with them coming out for Nazis. What's the difference, and why doesn't the SPLC even have a category for Islamic jihadi groups or uber-left groups bent on destroying America? Not one. The greatest threat facing our nation, our people, our world, and they are shilling for them and smearing those of us fighting for preservation of our freedom.

Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the SPLC was designated as a Communist front. It was essentially run by a couple, Anne and Carl Braden, who were CPUSA members. They had been identified in sworn testimony, and they made no attempt to deny the allegations. They would be proud that their legacy remains intact -- their "heirs," destroyers and America-haters, continue their work to subvert and destroy America. (more here)

KUALA LUMPUR: International book store chain Borders in Malaysia has called on the Home Ministry and the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) to clearly establish and delineate the decisions to ban books in the country.

“The issue here is not about Borders wanting to challenge the order to ban the book made on May 29,” said Berjaya Books COO Yau Su Peng in a statement, in reference to Muslim Canadian author Irshad Manji’s latest book “Allah, Liberty and Love” that was banned in Malaysia.

“The fundamental issue here is about Jawi’s action against a Borders employee to the extent of charging her in court even before a ban had been officially gazetted and announced,” added Yau.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court last Sunday granted Borders leave for a judicial review proceedings against Jawi’s raid, search and seizure of Irshad Manji’s controversial books at a Borders bookstore on May 23.

Malaysia’s Minister in charge of religious affairs has defended the raid on a Borders bookstore in Kuala Lumpur.

The raid resulted in seeing the bookstore manager being charged in the Syariah court for distributing and selling the book that is now banned.

Malaysia’s Minister in charge of religious affairs, Jamil Khir Baharom, has come out to defend the action. He said, “The country has laws, we have rules and regulation. We will answer in court.”

His deputy said parties involved should have known the book was banned, since her department had already advised the Home Ministry (KDN) that it considers the book “un-Islamic.”

Masitah Ibrahim, Deputy Minister in charge of Islamic affairs, argued, “We did our part, if Borders wants to sue, we will see them in court. She should be responsible for distributing something that’s against Islam. Our part from Jawi is that we’ve give our comments, we should prevent things that go against Islam. Other than that, the store manager, etc., they have to deal with KDN.”

The book was banned because officials in Malaysia said it went against Islamic teachings, but activists and others told Bikyamasr.com they believe Manji’s book was banned because she is a lesbian.

Bookstore manager 36-year-old Nik Raina Nik Aziz was charged this week at the Syariah court for distributing and selling the book.

If convicted, she could be fined up to $1,000 or jailed for two years.

The company said Nik Raina has been victimized and is demanding that the charge against her be dropped.

In fact, the notice only came from the Home Ministry a week later.

He also promised to free detained Egyptian protesters facing military tribunals.

Morsi earlier read the oath of office and defied the country's military rulers by saying: "I fear no one but God."...

Mali Muslims destroy holy Timbuktu sites: witnesses

It's the same everywhere that Muslims seek to impose Islam. Destroy everything else, everything that is holy. In Israel, for a number of years already, there is the selected destruction of Christian/Jewish artifacts at the sites that are, of course, the places where the Jewish and Christian religions originated. When the devout Muslim group, the Taliban, destroyed the Buddhas in Afghanistan, all the world was correctly enraged.

Muslim excavators continue working at these historic sites, taking thousands and thousands of pounds and thousands of artifacts, historical evidence and simply throwing it all out. It is perhaps one the largest archaeological catastrophes in history.

The vast literature proving the historic Jewish connection to the Land of Israel has been extensively manipulated and distorted as part of the Palestinian politics of nationalism. Propaganda, indoctrination, and socialization, both domestically and internationally, are essential parts of the strategy and tactics of asserting Palestinian nationhood and statehood. "Mali Islamists destroy holy Timbuktu sites: witnessses" Reuters June 30, 2012

DAKAR (Reuters) - Armed fighters of Mail's al Qaeda-linked Ansar Dine Islamist group on Saturday destroyed mausoleums in the ancient trading city of Timbuktu, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, witnesses said.

The attack came just four days after UNESCO agreed to a request by the West African state to place Timbuktu on its list of heritage sites in danger following the seizure of its northern two-thirds in April by separatist and Islamist rebels.

"They have already completely destroyed the mausoleum of Sidi Mahmoud (Ben Amar) and two others. They said they would continue all day and destroy all 16," local Malian journalist Yeya Tandina said by telephone of the 16 most prized resting grounds of local saints in the town.

"They are armed and have surrounded the sites with pick-up trucks. The population is just looking on helplessly," he said, adding that the Islamists were currently taking pick-axes to the mausoleum of Sidi El Mokhtar, another cherished local saint.

"It looks as if it is a direct reaction to the UNESCO decision," Timbuktu deputy Sandy Haidara said by telephone, confirming the attacks.

Since government forces were routed in April, Ansar Dine and other Islamist groups with links to Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) have gained the upper hand over less well-armed Tuaregs whose goal is a secular, independent northern state.

Ansar Dine is pushing for strict sharia, Islamic law, across the whole of the country and deems un-Islamic the shrines of Timbuktu, an expression of the local Sufi brand of the religion.

A Dubai police chief claims he has so far received 1500 threatening calls on his mobile phone from members of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood for inflamatory statements

The Dubai police chief confirms he has received a multitude of threats on his mobile from Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood for tweeting against the Brotherhood's win of the presidential elections.

"I have received 1500 threats from members of Muslim Brotherhood [MB] and my mobile is still on," claims the Dubai police chief Dhahi Khalfan on his account on Twitter on Saturday, implying that he is still receiving threats.

"The number of received phone threats demonstrate that we face a criminal organisation [in reference to the Muslim Brotherhood]  ... we disagree with [former Egyptian presidents] Sadat and Nasser (may they rest in peace), yet their regimes did not do what the Brotherhood are doing," Khalfan added.

Less than 24 hours after Afghan authorities reported a suspected poison attack against a high school in northern Sar-i-Pul province, a second suspected poison attack sickened 94 female students at the Sorkhak girls' high school in Sar-i-Pul City, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.

Unlike the symptoms of nausea, headaches, and fever reported in yesterday's attack, the female students sickened at the Sorkhak girls' high school had reportedly developed rashes and dizziness. Afghan authorities believed a "poisonous substance or gas" had been sprayed in the classrooms and sickened the students.

Today's attack marks the 10th suspected poison attack in northern Afghanistan since mid-April, and the latest episode this year that has sickened hundreds of students in Takhar, Khost, Bamyan, Kabul, and Nangarhar provinces.

Below is a timeline of the suspected poison attacks against girls' schools in northern Afghanistan this year:

• June 23, 2012: Afghan medical personnel treated 94 female students after they fell ill from a suspected poison attack at the Sorkhak girls' high school in Sar-i-Pul City.
• June 22, 2012: Over 100 schoolgirls fell ill at the Hazrat Imam Zada Yahya high school in northern Sar-i-Pul province, which Afghan authorities blamed on a suspected poison attack.
• June 5, 2012: As many as 60 schoolgirls were believed to have been poisoned at a school in the Rustaq district of Takhar province. Takhar government officials claimed that at least 11 suspects including a "group leader" had been arrested by local security forces for their role in the series of poison attacks in northeastern Afghanistan.
• June 3, 2012: At least 65 schoolgirls were poisoned at the Nahid Shahid high school in the Farkhar district of Takhar province. Local officials said at least four suspects, including a Pakistani woman, have been detained in connection to the poisoning of schoolgirls in Takhar. This is the sixth time that the schools have been poisoned in northeastern Takhar recently.


• June 2, 2012: Two dozen schoolgirls -- between seven and 18 years old -- were believed to have been poisoned at the Bashir Abad School in Taloqan, the capital of Takhar province, and were sent to local hospitals for treatment.


• May 29, 2012 : Local authorities in Takhar province believed that between 74 and 120 schoolgirls had been poisoned early Tuesday morning at the Aahan Draaw girls' school.


• May 27, 2012: Hospital officials treated at least 40 schoolgirls from Bibi Hajera High School in Takhar's capital city of Taloqan after they had fallen ill, apparently from being poisoned. The all-female school had also suffered a poisoning attack a few days prior.


• May 23, 2012: Eighty girls were evacuated from the Bibi Hajera High School in the 5th police district of Taloqan in Takhar province and were treated at a local hospital along with three school teachers and a staff member after falling ill from an apparent poison attack.


• April 17, 2012: Afghan officials in Takhar province announced that dozens of schoolgirls had become ill after consuming poisoned drinking water at the Dabiristan girls high school in the Rustaq district of Takhar province. Subsequent test results of the possibly poisoned drinking water have proved inconclusive

Don’t expect Pamela Geller to give to the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles any time soon. Citing security concerns, the federation canceled a scheduled talk by the right-wing blogger in its building. The planned talk was sponsored by the Zionist Organization of America, which is a federation tenant, and its topic was “Islamic Jew-Hatred: The Root Cause of the Failure to Achieve Peace.” Geller promptly took to her blog to lambaste federation officials. “Shame on our cowardly leadership for throwing one of our own under the bus,” Geller wrote. “We expect that from kapos, not from proud Jews who should hold the freedom of speech as a fundamental Jewish value.” Geller gained national attention two years ago for her loud activism against a proposed Islamic cultural center and mosque near Ground Zero. The Anti-Defamation League has alleged that Geller “fuels and fosters anti-Muslim bigotry in society.”

NAIROBI, Kenya, June 28 (UPI) -- The recent arrest of two Iranians in Kenya on suspicion of plotting bomb attacks has heightened fears that Tehran is widening its covert war against Israel and the United States as Washington expands its secret intelligence operations across Africa...

The Iranians have rarely mounted major covert or intelligence operations in Africa, although they have used Sudan as a key conduit for weapons destined for the Palestinian Hamas militants and their allies in the Gaza Strip in recent years.

But West Africa and the Horn of Africa have largely been operational areas for al-Qaida, a Sunni organization that's religiously and ideologically opposed to Shiite Iran, and its Somali offshoot, al-Shabaab.

Kenya security authorities, aided by U.S. and British agents, arrested the two Iranians June 20 in Nairobi, the West African country's capital. The men reportedly led authorities to a cache of 33 pounds of military-grade explosive, believed to be RDX.

They were charged Monday with intent to carry out bombings, which they deny. But the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi issued a warning Tuesday to Americans to avoid traveling to Kenya.

The arrest of the Iranians suggests that "the suspects may have been preparing to deliver the next blow in the covert intelligence war that has raged since 2007 between the United States, Israel and their allies on one side and Iran and its allies on the other," the U.S. global security consultancy Stratfor observed.

Most of the attacks carried out by Sunni militants, such as al-Shabaab, have been small improvised explosive devices or hand grenades, although al-Shabaab killed some 70 people in two major bombings in Kampala, capital of Uganda, in October 2010.

"This latest plot diverges from the normal Islamist activity and more closely resembles the strong of Iranian attacks and attempted attacks against Israeli interests in multiple countries," Stratfor noted.

The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi has not lifted the travel warning. That suggests "the two individuals are not the full extent of the threat," Stratfor commented.

London 2012 Olympics: Muslim converts held over 'Games plot' Telegraph

Two Muslim converts have been arrested in East London on suspicion of plotting an attack against the London 2012 Olympic Games canoeing venue.

Sources told The Daily Telegraph that the arrests were based on a tip-off after men were seen behaving suspiciously close to the venue in Waltham Abbey, Hertfordshire on Monday.

Hertfordshire police officers began combing the banks after three men were seen in a dinghy on the River Lea.

The two men, aged 18 and 32, were arrested at separate residential addresses in east London, by officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter-Terrorism Command, at 7am on Thursday.

They were detained under the Terrorism Act 2000 on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism and held at a central London police station. Officers were last night searching two addresses in East London.

A friend of the arrested men named the 18-year-old as Jamal ud-Din and said the older man was someone he knew only as “Zakariya.”

Mizanur Rahman, 29, said the arrests “might have had something to do with the fact that they recently went canoeing” on the River Lea, a branch of which runs through the Olympic site in east London.

“It’s just people trying to get into the Olympic spirit,” he told the Associated Press but added he believed the authorities would try “painting it as jihad training.”

Must be a new Olympic sport, jihadis bombing.

Obama gloats on TWITTER: "Still a BFD"

Obama’s campaign proverbially spiked the football in light of Obamacare being held up by the Supreme Court, marketing a t-shirt that says “Still a BFD” on it.  Obama’s @BarackObama Twitter account tweeted a link to where people could buy the $30 t-shirt, if they can spare $30 in a down economy.

The “BFD,” of course, is a reference to what Vice President Joe Biden said to Obama before Obama signed Obamacare into law in the East Room of the White House. Biden, forgetting there were microphones around him, told him that it was a “Big f****ing deal.”

Open microphones caught those words. The moment went viral, and the Obama campaign immediately launched a “BFD” marketing campaign, capitalizing on the Vice President’s crassness that overshadowed Obama’s legislative accomplishment.

When Obama tweets from his account, he signs his tweets “BO,” so a staffer tweeted the link to the “Still a BFD” t-shirt. Obama’s campaign should have a separate Twitter account for his campaign and allow Obama to exclusively tweet from his personal account to prevent his account -- and by extension, the office of the president -- from being cheapened by such crass and gimmicky tweets. But with top Democrats on his campaign who tweet vulgarities, this is probably par for the course for Team Obama and will likely spur those opposed to Obamacare to donate even more money to Mitt Romney and conservatives determined to repeal the law.

Surfing the web is not a human right

I’ve been a journalist my entire adult life, but until I went halfway across the world, it didn’t really sink in that information is a basic right—as vital as food, water, and a roof.

Wrong. There is only one human right, the individual right's to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Freedom is our only human right. Period. Healthcare is not a human right; neither is internet access.

Obama is directing millions of tax dollars so that people of his home towns and other wonderful Islamic places get the "news that they need." Which news? Whose news?
