Back on May 30th, I broke the story and alerted Atlas readers to the caliphate conference coming to Chicago here. I urged readers to contact the venue (Meadows Club) and to fight sharia by coming to our anti-sharia conference in California to counter a Hamas-CAIR supremacist event here. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, called The Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois to voice their outrage that they were set to host an Islamic revolution caliphate planning conference. And The Meadows has cancelled. Thanks to you. I hope every one of you politely called to thank them: 847-640-3200 or email [email protected]
Here is the devout Muslim organization Hizb ut-Tahrir's announcement:
“ALERT: We regret to inform you that the venue that had agreed to host our event previously is no longer willing to accommodate our Khilafah Conference. We are currently in the process of finding a new location for the event. The new venue will be announced as soon as possible. We will also provide more details on the circumstances leading to the change in venue.” That portion of the web page is posted below.
We are putting this group on notice. We promise that any venue that permits this conference will be hounded, protested, emailed, snail mailed, and called upon to cancel.
If a mosque hosts it, that would hardly surprise us, but if a secular venue agrees to hold it, they are asking for a public relations nightmare.
The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, publicly read from an Islamic poem including the lines: “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and Muslims our soldiers…”
