You just can't make this stuff up -- Al-Jazeera, jihad TV, the mouthpiece for sharia, the most extreme, radical and restrictive ideology on the face of the earth, has won a "freedom of speech" award. Those that seek to impose the blasphemy laws under the sharia (the restriction of free speech) have won a freedom of speech award. No matter how many times I say it, it feels weird coming out of my mouth.
Months back, I joined forces with Cliff Kincaid of AIM, along with human rights activists and advocates for journalistic integrity, to protest the expansion of Al-Jazeera, terror TV, in the United States. I wrote about it here at The Daily Caller. Al-Jazeera should be designated a terrorist organization, just like [Hezbollah's channel] Al-Manar. They should not be given awards by, of all organiztions, The Roosevelt Foundation, which is dedicated to the ideals and achievements of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
No organization has done as much to spread hate, lies and incitement to violence as Al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera is the leading terrorist propaganda organization in the world. Jihad murder mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki has praised Al-Jazeera, and several years ago one of its most prominent reporters was arrested on terror charges. Al-Jazeera also has for years been the recipient of numerous Al-Qaeda videos featuring bin Laden, Zawahiri, and American traitor Adam Gadahn. Yet they never seem to be able to trace where these videos are coming from. They have repeatedly been set up at the point of attack right before a bomb went off, so that they could take the picture of the slaughtered, dismembered bodies.
91 American, Israeli and Canadian victims of Hezbollah rocket attacks have filed an unprecedented 1.2 billion dollar lawsuit against the Al-Jazeera television network. Al-Jazeera is accused of intentionally providing real-time coverage of the locations of missile strikes inside Israel, in violation of Israeli security regulations, thereby enabling Hezbollah to aim its missiles more accurately. More here: Stop Al Jazeera’s expansion in the United States -- Pamela Geller
Al-Jazeera's current target is clear -- to enable and assist jihadi groups to overthrow the US-allied regimes.
Turning over our airwaves to jihadist propaganda outfits is an act of treason. Giving them awards is pathological. The war in the information battle-space is now the most critical war, and we are disarming America. They invoke our freedoms to inevitably kill our freedoms. The issue of giving Al-Jazeera a free speech award can only be likened to giving Joseph Goebbels a humanitarian award at the height of World War II.

Network awarded Roosevelt Foundation prize for its "longstanding efforts to provide independent impartial news".
The Roosevelt Foundation, a private establishment dedicated to the ideals and achievements of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, has presented Al Jazeera with its 2012 Freedom of Speech and Expression Award. The foundation recognised Al Jazeera Media Network for "its longstanding efforts to provide independent, impartial news for an international audience and to offer a voice to a diversity of perspectives from under-reported regions".
Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, Director General of Al Jazeera Media Network, accepted the award at a ceremony on May 12, 2012 in Nieuwe Kerk in Middelburg, Netherlands in the presence of Queen Beatrix.
He said: "It is with immense pride and sincere humility that I accept the Freedom of Speech and Expression Award on behalf of Al Jazeera Media Network.
"Al Jazeera launched in 1996 as the first independent Arabic news channel in the world, with a vision to provide unbiased news coverage in a region where independent and balanced reporting did not exist.
