I receive, on average, ten to twenty emails a week from Muslims, both here and abroad, who are living in abject terror of family, mosque, and community because they wish to leave Islam or simply don't believe in the sharia.
It is best not to publicize these emails. Why run the risk of exposing anyone? The Muslims are so closely watched by snitches and rats in their communities that one cannot be too careful.

I know you may be very busy, and might not have the time to read this message, but I just wanted to express my since gratitude for your bravery in facing such a serious threat not only to the US, but the entire world. I am a 19 year old Egyptian-American who has been living in Egypt for the last 14 years, and have come to see in recent months the true threat of Islam in the 21st century. I am a former Muslim, and am now currently an Atheist. I can tell you first hand of the emerging threat of the Islamists who want to propagate their radical message to the people of Egypt and the world. Unfortunately, it seems, the people of Egypt have accepted these radical views, as is shown by the voting results of these parliamentary elections. I have truly lost faith in Egypt because of the mindless religious zealots that have brainwashed the entire nation into thinking that the only good words worth saying are, “ALLAHU AKBAR, ALLAHU AKBAR!!”. Now, instead of talking about education and economic growth, the main issues of the Salafi’s and Muslim Brotherhood is how to quickly institutionalize Sharia law. This religious furor is having an effect on economic growth. It has been reported that Egypt’s annual GDP growth has slowed to less than 0.5% (from a normal 6-6.5%).
This virus spreading across the Middle East seems incurable, and may quickly spread to an already radical Muslim population in Europe, and soon after to the US and Canada. In ending, I wanted to let you know that there is a small group of people in Egypt that are trying to fight against the Izlamization of everything, but unfortunately it seems like a lost battle. So, thanks again for you amazing bravery and relentless coverage of this enormous problem, and I hope we win what truly looks like a soon to be fought war.
