While Americans were struggling to make ends meet in the fall of 2009, one place in America was a Wonderland populated with glitterati who hosted lavish parties for themselves: the White House.
“The New York Post revealed Sunday that for Halloween that year, actor Johnny Depp (as the Mad Hatter) and Hollywood director Tim Burton constructed an elaborate Wonderland in the White House’s State Dining Room. Chewbacca from the “Star Wars” movies greeted guests. The whole thing was so lavish that Barack Obama knew how bad this luxurious party would look to American taxpayers, and succeeded in keeping the whole thing quiet for over two years.
Obama was right. Pigs at the trough. How can you expect someone who never earned one to respect a hard-earned dollar? There was a time when public officials would worry about their jobs if they used, abused, squandered Americans’ taxpayer dollars; now it’s a rite of passage.
Just imagine what the media uproar over this would be if Obama were a Republican. Who can forget the giant thrashing Bush took for his inauguration fete, which cost a mere $40 million, which amounts to little more than the tax on Obama’s inauguration orgy of $170 million. And that was just the kick-off. Last week alone, the Obamas’ spare-no-expense 17-day Hawaiian holiday cost taxpayers $4 million. The Obamas once again did their best to hide their profligacy: Michelle Obama wore an apparently simple sundress that was actually a designer item costing nearly $2,000.
Remember how the media obsessed over Sarah Palin’s wardrobe? That same media ignores Michelle Obama’s outrageous wardrobe.
Meanwhile, in his new budget Obama is proposing a pay raise for civilian federal workers. It is already depraved and degenerate that federal workers’ median salary is almost double that of private-sector employees. It is public “service”; where’s the “service”? And this new pay raise proposal is even more depraved: People can’t find work and these parasites are getting a raise.
At the same time, the Obama administration is planning to lay off 500,000 military personnel.
How is all of this happening without the masses rising up in horror? The enemedia keep folks in the dark.
