"I was genuinely afraid to go to Occupy Wall Street," said NYU student Sara Ackerman.
And rightly so, Ms. Ackerman, and rightly so.

Mimicking the minority tyranny of the "student revolution" (spawned by the Berkeley student rebellion of 1964), #OWS was always hoping that the actions of a violent, tyrannical few would throw NYU into chaos. And just as in the rest of the left's war on America in the sixties, the intellectually bankrupt faculty aided and abetted these subversive goons.
Scared and rightly concerned about the sexual attacks on girls at #OWS, many NYU students were loathe to go down to the filthy, violent #OWS encampment at Zuccotti Park. And rightly so. I documented on several posts how faculty at NYU urged, cajoled and let students out of class early in order to spark a leftbot student revolution at #OWS like the calls for Student Strikes at NYU back in November.
Well, many students were not having it, nor the threats, the killings, the thousands of arrests, the defecation, rapes, sexual assaults, attacks and stabbings on police, the vicious Jew-hatred.
A family friend (who shall remain anonymous at my discretion) at NYU, a journalism major, was taken to OWS in Zucotti Park this semester with her journalism class.
They were asked to observe and interview various protesters. She walked to one side of the park where there a man who was yelling about Israel's nuclear weapons and the typical conspiracy theory about the Jewish lobby in the U.S. Then, she noticed that a stalking-type man in a blue fleece, with blue eyes, kept looking her way - and creepily smiling at her. She, a
cautious New Yorker, didn't pay much attention to it, however as she continued to make her way around the park, she noticed that the same stalking-type man was following her. He tapped her on the shoulder and said "Hey, Do you want to see some pictures?" She attempted to ignore him, as he kept pursuing her. She finally responded, "What do you want?" He then proceeded to open a black binder with a dozen or so photographs of women bending over and him sniffing their asses. He looked at her, smiled, and then said "Do you want to be in the binder?" She was instantly freaked out, and ran to her professor who told her to inform the NYPD. She told a nearby cop about the complain and he responded, "Hey, If you don't want to see gorillas, don't go to the zoo."

Shoving the #OWS poison down our children's throats at the expense of their health and welfare was rampant.
In another case, NYU student Sara Ackerman was given an "assignment" that required her going down to Zuccotti Park and writing an ethnography on the Occupy Wall Street protestors. Sara says she refused to go down because of fears, ethical disagreements and concerns about “the criminals, drug addicts, mentally ill people” who were there. She requested an alternative assignment, but was refused by CAS Dean Kalb until she had already gone down to OWS “with two other young girls, who are quite attractive and thin, and don’t look particularly physically fit enough to take on a potential predator, rapist, paranoid schizophrenic, etc” and felt like she “escaped an extremely dangerous — and even, life threatening — situation.”
Sara Ackerman documents her pleading with the professor:
No alternatives were offered, and we were instructed to interview only those peoplewho were participating in the OWS movement-- that means anyone, including criminals,drug addicts, mentally ill people, and of course, the few competent, mentally stablepeople that stationed themselves at Zuccotti Park(** note: I did not meet any of the supposedly mentally sound, non-delusional people at Zucotti Park. All of the interviews that I conducted are on video, and clearly show that each person I interviewed---and believe me, for my own safety, I tried to interview the most seemingly normal people there---was either mentally disturbed or dangerous, scary or masked, or misogynistic and rude. I was cat- called at, gawked at, ogled, and called derogatory names.) 2. Before I actually went to OWS, I begged Professor Zaloom for an alternative,via her private office hours, in-class requests (by raising my hand, and makingthese requests in a polite, respectful, and productive way), and emails to her NYU email account.
Professor Zaloom ignored many of my emails, or just told me that I have to do the assignment no matter what.
In one particularly notable email, Professor Zaloom told me that my personal stance on OWS was making 'conceptual progress in the class difficult to sustain.' The way I interpret this statement is that Professor Zaloom asked me to stop expressing my views in class--
Not only did Professor Zaloom refuse to giver an alternative assigment; she threatened the student with an F. And while some wil have any issue with Ackerman's style, it is irrelevant. Ackerman was harassed and forced to go to NYU "Wellness Exchange" (a euphemism for mental health center). Gaslight, anyone?
Any professor who forces children into dangerous and life threatening situations should be summarily terminated.

Ackerman was commanded by her professsor to got to OWS despite her repeated pleas. She was threatened by a Dean:
Sara, you are entitled to express your disagreement with the manner in which a faculty member conducted a class and/or to engage in a discourse about the issues beingconsidered in a course, provided that it is done in a respectful and civil manner.However, the standards of conduct and civility that govern interactions among members of the University community may have been violated by the hostile and threatening statements in your emails. I strongly urge you to refrain from any further communications of this nature, which could put you at risk of University disciplinary action.

Mass emails sent out to departmental listservs are mostly servicey and rarely very interesting. But at 3 AM Wednesday morning, NYU senior Sara Ackerman mailed out a group of emails very worth opening.
Ackerman sent seven lengthy emails, which NYU Local has obtained, to students in the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis that elaborately chronicled a situation in which she fought with NYU professors, mental health experts, and university deans.

The full emails and NYU’s response after the jump.Her emails continue to explain her dealings with the course’s “rude” graduate student that wouldn’t call on her to answer questions — “Other times, I kept my hand up for about 75 seconds—a long time to keep one’s arm raised, by the way—and Jen still did not call on me, or she dismissed my questions, thoughts, and opinions.”
Ackerman says that after her email blasts, she was offered a deal for her silence on the matter. She says that NYU offered her an A in the course as long as she stopped talking about the situation.
When reached for comment about the situation, NYU Vice President of Public Affairs John Beckman replied, “Federal law prohibits the University from talking about an individual student’s academic or disciplinary record, so this is all a bit difficult to discuss because I cannot comment with regard to any specific student. But let me say this: when a student raises a complaint, we look into it, and we take it very seriously. We received a complaint from a student about a particular fall class in the College of Arts and Science; we looked into the complaint and found the accusations were unwarranted. With all complaints, we try to come to some sort of common-sense resolution, but that does not involve offering ‘A’s, and we do not give grades or credit for work not completed. Most of the time, complaints can be resolved amicably and sensibly, but sometimes that’s just not how it works.”
