This is chilling. This is in Texas.
Iranian grad student, activist killed in Houston KSAT News (hat tip Armaros)
HOUSTON - A woman whom Houston police described as an activist on behalf of Iranian women's civil rights was found shot dead at the wheel of her car after it crashed into a townhouse garage.
Houston police said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday in a posh development near the Galleria.
According to investigators, someone walked up to the passenger's side of 30-year-old Gelareh Bagherzadeh's car and shot her in the head.
Bagherzadeh's body was found inside her running car, detectives said.
"When the officer arrived, the car's tires were still spinning," Officer J.C. Padilla said. "He had to reach in and turn off the motor."
Bagherzadeh's car was found at the back of the town home complex, and police said she had driven past her parents' home near the front of the complex.
"We don't know if she was being followed at the time," Sgt. Richard Bolton said.
Investigators said Bagherzadeh was studying genetic research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and was an only child.
Officers said Bagherzadeh's ex-boyfriend was on the phone with her when he heard what may have been the crash and gunshots.
"He said she screamed for her life," said Lorena Lopez, one of Bagherzadeh's close friends. "He heard screeching and he assumed it was a car accident."
The ex-boyfriend was questioned, but is not considered a suspect.
Detectives said they want to speak with her current boyfriend and other friends to try to piece together what happened.
"She has no enemies," Bolton said. "She was a very caring and loving person."
Bagherzadeh was part of Sabaz Houston, a local Iranian organization that supports the green movement against the current Iranian government. Her friends describe her as sweet and smart.

The same Green movement our dictator did not help, but instead went to bed with the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and them went after Libya --- CAN'T SEE ANY CONNECTION CAN ANYONE ELSE??? HOW MANY MORE HAVE TO DIE BEFORE WE WAKE UP???

Iranians that reject the tyranny of Islam have a lot of enemies. Please make sure the police don't try to cover this up like they did to Fatima Abdullah.
RIP sister Gelareh.

Yet another young innocent life cruelly snufffed out by the barbaric cult of islam.

I may have watched too much CSI and CRIMINAL MINDS on TV but I would check out that ex-boyfriend thoroughly. What better alibi than to set up a hit, then call her so that phone records would show you could not have been the one there firing into the car. Meanwhile, you in speaking with her verify WHERE she is and text your hit man. I am NOT defending Islam, Sharia Law or its misogynistic honor killers, I'm just saying that because he was on the phone with her at the time, does NOT mean he could not have set it all up.

Horrible! Such a beautiful girl. Evil is everywhere these days and it seems like our dhimmi Govt enjoys playing blind. AvantiBev has made an excellent point. To be on the phone with the victim is a very good way to set up the murder.

Oh, AvantiBev! Great minds think alike! I had the same thought. First, she was driving by her parents house - creepy. What kind of parents? Are they embarassed or proud of their activist daughter?
Secondly, it's a known landmark, particular to her and those who know her well. So as for the ex-, you pegged it: the telephone alibi and the timed hit in one shot (no pun intended). "Where are you now, honey?" "I'm just driving by my parents house."
Hmmm.
Consider if she had not been driving by that landmark. It's not as smooth. She either needs to be tailed or her killer has to wait at a random point along her route. Then when the ex- asks her where she is, she might not offer a precise location perfect for a hit.

I know one enemy she had.
Muslims.

I find it hard to believe that an X could hire a hit man and set this all up because of a break up.
If he was a jealous honour killer he would have killed her himself.
There are many Iranian regime operatives in the West. They are among the Iranian communities. Iranians told me this. It is not impossible that they may have recruited the X also.
We should realize that this hostile regime has been killing dissidents abroad since 1979. Some in broad daylight.
The FBI should be on this case as of yesterday and investigate the family, the circle of friends and especially the university clubs she was involved in.
The perpetrator...or the one guiding the perpetrator was probably among her circle of friends/associates.
Iran is being squeezed now. Iranians in the West are helping those back home of liquidating their bank accounts. Iranians are panicking and are smuggling $$ and gold out of Iran. This is seriously hurting the regime as it is seeing dollar reserves depleting as their currency is plummeting.
It is not fantastic to believe that the regime is starting to clamp down on these links and attempts to save itself by stealing the wealth of Iranians.
There is a soft civil war going on there. Elements of which on both sides are here among us doing their thing...

Some fallout from the Houston murder
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/17/gelareh-bagherzadeh-texas_n_1211737.html
"Bagherzadeh was a well-known Iranian activist. According to the Houston Chronicle, in 2010 she protested the Iranian government and was a member of SabzHouston, an activist group against the Iranian government."
http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Student-activist-shot-to-death-near-Galleria-2563916.php More details and pics
Now see this comment (this is from a known anti regime iranian blogger who appears on Cif and Harrys a lot.
"I would start the investigation from the Islamic Center in Houston funded by Islamic of Republic. They are very active chapter. I wouldn't be surprised if there are many sleeper cells in Houston. This should be taken very seriously. Regime has a record of assassinating political activistst all over the world..."
Wasn't the other operative who tried to kill the Saudi prince also from Houston (or the area?)
If AQ and the MB are using mosques to prepare killers, why wouldn't Iran?
I also googled the connection and found this: http://www.chron.com/life/houston-belief/article/Muslims-decry-move-to-seize-Houston-mosque-1736694.php
The Mosque was under the radar. The building housing it belonged to the Iranian regime lobby group the Alavi Foundation ... we know who they are... But John Kerry it seems didn't...
Now look here. A Shia Chatroom where some nasty Khomenists are promoting the mosque

It sounds like something the Iranian government would do. A bit of tit-for-tat for the assasinations of their scientists.

I'll be following this story. I don't think it involved her romantic connection. It would be very difficult for a non-professional to set up a "hit." I also don't think it was an international assassination, unless she's far more active than reported in this story. She does not seem to have been religious, but if her family is muslim, they should be the suspect.

I don't think the boyfriends were Iranians or muslims.

Police say that this isn't a result of her activism or her ethnicity. Ha ha ha. They must work for Homeland Security. They quote the same jokes.

If you don't know about all the Iranian kidnappers and assasins in the United States, you are not informed. These types of murders by Iranian agents have been going on for years to silence their opposition. Iran is well entrenched and operating within US borders. Unfortunately law enforcement often drops the ball. Our enemies have a lot more access inside the US than you can imagine (airports, spies within companies), and the worst part is they use many renegade Latin american citizens.

this was a murder for hire, given the number of Islamists in Houston I won't be surprised.to get a clear picture check the first 3 videos on 'usvanguard' youtube channel

Without evidence, I don't think it's prudent to assume that it was Muslim fanatics who murdered this woman.

It would suit the interests of the weapons industry to draw attention to Islamic fanaticism, considering massive profits could be made from a war with Iran.
