Hi Pam - long time no chatter from IA.
Why is Ron Paul so strong here? One of the local talker say it comes to organization. The Ron Paul people will crawl over crushed glass to support him. Romney has the support of the establishment GOP here (just like everywhere else) and the also-rans (including my fav, Michelle Bachmann) have run awful campaigns. It's a damn dirty shame.

Dear John, Here is the message. Give up our domestic freedom to support foreign entanglements.. No thanks.

If Ron Paul is the Republican nominee, I'll be forced to vote for Obama. I'll take the devil I know. Ron is totally clueless when it comes to Islam. Nothing else matters (economy, defense, immigration, abortion, noble causes such as cancer research, etc) if the US becomes an Islamic country.

Wayne dolik...he is not clueless...he hates jews more than he hates muslims

on Jan 5 2009 Ron Paul conducted an interview with Iranian state owned English language propaganda channel, Press TV, where he urges ending support of Israel, defends Hamas and tactics of suicide bombing, states that Hamas is innocent and the Israeli state are the aggressors.
” to me i look at it like it’s a concentration camp, and people are making bombs, like, they’re the aggressors?”

Ron Paul is on record as both having courted Muslim voters and having stated that Islam does not pose any serious threat to American democracy. Even worse RP is on record as being gung ho for the mosque to be built at Ground Zero in spite of the fact that the majority of American citizens strongly object to this mosque being built.
ANYONE and I repeat ANYONE who fails to see that Islam is a clear and continual totalitarian threat to American society and liberty is absolutely unfit and unqualified to hold a political office in this country. AndI am specifically referring to ron Paul--although there's plenty of other politicians that I feel the same way about.
How many Americans are going to lose their lives to jihadist mass murderers before this finally sinks in?

Ron Paul is to the Left of Obama
That is all that you need to know.

There is NO WAY Ron Paul is really polling what the Lefty Media says he is.
There's NO POSSIBLE WAY that Conservative Patriotic Iowans would go for that LUNATIC NUT CASE,unless they have all been "hypnotized "en mass or "taken leave of their senses",both of which didn't happen
Ron Paul is the Democrats' DREAM Opponent and with no Democratic contest, their operatives have a clear opportunity and time to FK UP the GOP by HELPING Ron Paul.
There's NO OTHER WAY he would be where he is at this point in time.

Since when is not wanting to invade other countries considered to be a lack of leadership? Ron Paul is the only candidate that is honest; the usa is bankrupt and cannot afford to keep invading other nations only to spend trillions of dollars it does not have then retreat without accomplishing anything. this does not make the usa safer and Ron Paul knows that. He is not part of the industrial military corrupt corporate oligarchy that has overthrown the usa constitution. the comments and casual attitude of Mr. Bolton toward the notion that the usa has a right to invade and impose its will on other nations is shocking. finally, Ron Paul has repeatedly said he would not hesitate to use military force to defend the usa and its allies if attacked. What is wrong with this? Nothing! There is a reason why Mr. Bolton and his snowy mustache are not in the election; he is the extremist, not Ron Paul.

Not too many are argueing with Ron Paul's domestic positions..... It's his foreign policy positions that could be a nightmare for the US if he is elected president. Many years ago I liked a lot of what I heard from Ron Paul. Once I realized his foreign policy positions, any support I had for him was gone. Wayne dolik says it correctly, "Ron is totally clueless when it comes to Islam. Nothing else matters (economy, defense, immigration, abortion, noble causes such as cancer research, etc) if the US becomes an Islamic country."

If Iowans are (as the enemedia is inferring) swarming to a committed Jew-hater, Islamo-panderer and all-round bigot such as Paul, it actually wouldn't be much of a surprise; remember, back in the '80's they voted for race hustler Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson when he was running for President. In addition, it evidently doesn't seem to matter to the Paul-bots that his whole attitude viz foreign policy is of the type that if his view had prevailed in WWII, we would all be speaking either German or Japanese today, and/or would have been all been turned into lampshades.

Sorry, let me correct something: If Iowa Republicans were to flock to Paul as the enemedia claims they are, it would be a sign that they are indeed open to a Jew-hating bigot like him - just as Michigan Democrats in 1988 voted for Jackson.
Oh, and Paul to this day has never disavowed any support he has received from openly neo-Nazi, racist and Jew-hating groups such as Stormfront. How's that for them there apples?

A vote for Ron Paul will be a vote for Obama. May be Ralph Nader will come back and run as a Democrat.... That would equalize it.

Ron Paul: Dinner Jacket says he likes us best, so he will kill us last!
Look what we made Dinner Jacket do! --- Ron Paul.
Is this guy for real? He hates Jews more than Muslims? A fatwa on his silly head.

I think Ron Paul would make a wonderful President. Of Iran. He represents the best interests of that nation persistently and consistently. I personally would prefer to see as a President of the USA someone who is pro American, not pro Iranian.
