WPIX News: Pamela Geller Files Free Speech Lawsuit Against MTA

Early morning NY news today. On the eve of Rosh Hashanah, we have to file a lawsuit against the MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) to combat Jew-hatred in the city's subways. Jew-haters can run ads suggesting that Israel’s self-defense is the obstacle to "peace," and that U.S. military aid to Israel also acts as an impediment to peace between the Israelis and Palestinians. The Anti-Israel ad blames Israel, its military, and U.S. military aid to Israel as the cause of Palestinian terror directed against innocent civilians in Israel and abroad.

But call terrorism against innocent civilians "savage" and that's banned, deemed "demeaning" and "insulting" to savages.

This is a war on the truth. And very much what I address in my book, Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance. The restriction of free speech is the sharia in America, the blasphemy laws under Islam: "do not offend Islam," even if it is true.

It's Official: Pro-Jihad MTA Bans Pro-Israel Ads, Runs Anti-Israel Ads

The battle for free speech begins yet again in New York City. Last week, CBS Outdoor and the New York City Transit Authority approved an anti-Semitic ad campaign to run in over 1,000 subway cars. The ad calls for cutting off support for the Jewish state. Freedom lovers and the human-rights organization the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), of which I am executive director, submitted a pro-Israel campaign to counter this Jew-hatred and historical revisionism. But CBS Outdoor and the NYC Transit Authority banned our pro-Israel subway ads – while continuing to run the repulsive anti-Semitic, anti-Israel ads.

The anti-Semitic ad campaign has been bouncing from city to city. We successfully fought back against racism and Judeophobia in Seattle, when Clear Channel also caved in to Jew haters, running their hateful ad while refusing our pro-Israel ads. After AFDI protested, Clear Channel canceled the Jew-hating campaign and took their billboards down. While I would have preferred to see our magnificent ads up, that was an excellent second best. But the anti-Israel ads have run in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., while our pro-Israel ads have been rejected in those cities also. The minimum buy for such ads runs between $20,000 and $36,000; who is funding the racist haters?

Howard Marcus of the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) told me that our ad "contains language that, in our view, does not conform with the MTA's advertising standards regarding ads that demean an individual or group of individuals." The AFDI ad says, "In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel, Defeat Jihad."

The MTA's problem is with the word "savage," and mainstream media news reports have stated falsely that the ads are "anti-Muslim," calling every Muslim a savage. Of course New York Daily News reporter Pete Donahue resorted to Muslim Brotherhood smears like "anti-Muslim" and "anti-Islam" when referring to me. It seems that the leftist media are unable to accurately report anything. I am, in fact, counter-jihad. The New York Post started out a bit more even handed, calling me merely "controversial," although it described my ad as inflammatory. Truth is inflammatory.

Then in a follow-up piece the next day, I went from controversial to radical. Who is spiking Post reporter Jennifer Fermino's Kool-Aid? Lay off the Muslim Brotherhood sources, Jen. I am a "radical"? Truth is radical. Morality is radical. But a genocidal ideology is not radical or savage. The media are utterly corrupt, and the culture is subsumed by evil and the inability or unwillingness to distinguish between right and wrong. Again, look to Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal for the question of who spiked Jennifer Fermino's kool-aid - remember Alwaleed owns anywhere from 10% to 20% of the Post's parent. All News Corp. properties (including Fox News and the Post) are having Alwaleed's Jew-hating, pro-Sharia agenda seep into their coverage of anything from Israel to Pam's fight against the MTA's Islamo-pandering (a recent Fox News article on their website even went so far as to call East Jerusalem "occupied" - the implication being it's "occupied" by JOOOOOS).

I've noted this before, and though I don't like being a repeating record, Pamela has two basic concerns re Islam that are consistent themes on her site. She is concerned re the long term danger of using "religion" (in this case Islam's Sharia) to slowly undermine free political speech (the free, open exchange of ideas and opinions) in America. Free political speech is the cornerstone of all our political freedoms. (Lose free political speech and say goodbye to all other political freedoms that we so value in America. Pamela is battling for Muslims, too, in this matter. I'm sure some of them realize that.)

The second concern is that Islam, as presently configured, is a potential existential threat to the Jewish people. She's right on that, too.

Who would have ever believed that, after WW2 and the Holocaust, open calls would be made by a head of state to wipe out Jewish people-that that could be on any nation's agenda? It's outrageous. However, the moral lunatics in Iran are not kidding. They mean business, and Islam would be their rationalization for the genocide.
