As I wrote here last week, Republican candidate Bob Turner is within striking distance of his liberal Democratic opponent, David Weprin, in the 9th Congressional District's Special Election vote. Bob Turner opposes the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. So of course the inhuman grifter behind the Ground Zero mosque, Sharif El-Gamal, has come out swinging against this great American, calling Turner "pathetic." Now that's rich. Building a mega-mosque in a building destroyed in those ghastly attacks in the name of allah is what I would call "pathetic," for starters.
I equate this with the Hamas front group CAIR demanding that a sitting Congressman cut ties with counter jihadists and voices of freedom. According to an internal captured document entered into evidence in the the largest terrorist funding trial in US history, the stated goal of the Muslim Brotherhood, to which Hamas and CAIR are tied, is "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within." And they are barking orders to a decorated vet? Nuts, indeed.
Ten years after the biggest and bloodiest attack on American soil in our nation's history (in name of Islam) -- Jihad gone wild.
The leader of the controversial mosque planned near Ground Zero ripped into [Bob Turner] Republican congressional candidate in Queens for politicizing the issue.
Bob Turner isn't politicizing Ground Zero -- Sharif El-Gamal is. Ground Zero should be about sacred ground, not about mega-mosqueing.
"Not one penny of taxpayer money should be spent building that mosque," Turner said yesterday .But Weprin still doesn't say anything about opposing the federal funding or being against the mosque.
It takes courage to take this stand publicly, although the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose this cultural obscenity. The fact is, anyone who dares take this stand publicly is going to take a media beating, a relentless pounding from the Islamic supremacists and their stooges. We must pound back. Whatever you can you do to support Bob Turner -- do it!
The Ground Zero mosque, in a building that was partially destroyed in the 911 attacks, is deliberately provocative, deeply offensive and inhumane. Support a politician who stands for human compassion and common decency. Protest this mosque at Ground Zero on the tenth anniversary of the 911 attacks, here.
We must support candidates who have the political will to stand up for America and against the leftist/Islamic machine. Turner has come out swinging in the special election and taken a righteous stand on the Ground Zero mosque in light of this terrible war declared on us 9/11/01.
We need to keep the pressure on these supremacist quislings. No one in their right mind wants a 15 six story middle finger on Ground Zero. Grifter Gamal is shaving stories off the mega-mosque? We will fight until there are no stories. We have succeeded in impeding construction on that cultural obscenity, and we will continue to fight a triumphal mosque on Ground Zero.
Don't let the media kid you; I think Ground Zero Gamal could give Casey Anthony a run for the money as most disliked person in America. Shame on you, Sharif.
GZ mosque boss slams GOP candidate by SALLY GOLDENBERG, NY Post
The leader of the controversial mosque planned near Ground Zero ripped into a Republican congressional candidate in Queens for politicizing the issue.
Sharif El-Gamal, head of Park51 -- the mosque and Muslim community center proposed several blocks from the World Trade Center site -- criticized GOP contender Bob Turner for a political ad using visual images of the Twin Towers collapsing.
Turner's cable TV ad blasted his Democratic opponent, Assemblyman David Weprin, for defending El-Gamal's right to build the center.![]()
"The right wing has failed at this already. This is a man who wants to become a leader in that district? That's pathetic," El-Gamal fumed on NY1's "Inside City Hall" Tuesday night.
Weprin has defended El-Gamal's right to build the mosque, but he also said he would prefer it be constructed farther from Ground Zero.
Weprin and Turner are facing off on Sept. 13 in what is turning out to be a tight race to replace former Rep. Anthony Weiner, who resigned after it was discovered he had exchanged sexually explicit text messages with multiple women.
A Weprin spokesman responded that "Bob Turner will stop at nothing -- even using 9/11 imagery for his own political gain."
Turner, who defended his ad, yesterday said he would oppose any federal tax dollars going to the development of the mosque and called on Weprin to do the same.
"Not one penny of taxpayer money should be spent building that mosque," Turner said yesterday.
