Who Added "Christian" and "Conservative" to Norway Shooter's Facebook Page Yesterday?

While the leftist and Islamic supremacist ghouls rush to portray Norway mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik as a Christian and even as an anti-jihadist, the unanswered questions multiply. Why did a jihad group take credit for the atrocities, and then retract? And who altered the murderer's Facebook page? Yesterday, at the time that his name was released, his Facebook page looked like this (hat tip Vivien for the screenshots):

 

But shortly thereafter, this screenshot started circulating, of an altered Facebook page on which Breivik identified himself as a Christian and a conservative: (screenshot hat tip Vivien)

Did he have two different Facebook pages, one in Norwegian and one in English, and he only identified himself as a Christian and a conservative on the English one? Or did he pause from his murder spree to add "Christian" and "conservative" to his Facebook profile? Or maybe the whole page is a fake, as has been reported here.

But in the case, who faked it, and why? Who is so anxious to portray Breivik as a Christian and conservative? And if this was faked, can we trust any of the material that is now being released about Breivik being anti-jihad?

The first picture looks like when you are logged into facebook. The 2nd screenshot looks like when you are not logged in so it could be that some information is only visible to facebook users.

I made screen grabs as soon as I heard about the incident (a few hours afterwards), while there were still jihadi claims of credit. The FB page given was visible (without friending), but I was logged in to FB; I don't know what it looked like if someone was not on FB. I immediately thought the 'Christian' and 'conservative' looked odd - because that is exactly what nearly every TEA Party sane American puts on his page. Everything was so tidy -- and it only started from the 18th of July; no posts before that. It never smelt right. I was unaware of a FB page in Norwegian? Claims that Anders was involved with right wing websites are based upon what? ... and then the fertilizer bomb ... it all smells wrong.
Perhaps related, hadn't Qadaffi also just promised something big in Europe?

According to credible news sources I've seen, there is no evidence (even via his blogs) that he was a Christian or even belonged to a Church. In fact, since he's Norwegian, one of the most anti-religious countries in the world, the chances of him being a Christian is unbelievably low. He was by all accounts a "right wing" extremist but the press always automatically links "right wing" with "Christian" without even checking the facts first. Poor reporting or outright bias? Could be both.

Anyone can call himself anything. He can call himself a Martian but that doesn't make him one. When you say 'less information' I take it you are referring to the actual teachings of the Koran and hadith. One may legitimately study the texts and history of a religion, and in today's context re. Yes, people really need to cool down. My first reaction was to go with the islamist claim on this, but they've backed off although they're still very upbeat. This looks, now, like the work of a lone nut (and I'm talking kingsize nut).

Some few points to consider.

1. His manifesto. We should be careful about believing what's in it. Some may be pure fantasy (some places the guy sounds like a fantasist), and there may be different versions out there. One version is PDF, and it seems to have been prepared by a fairly leftist blogger, from the word document. Doesn't mean there must be discrepancies, it just needs checking.

2. Accepting the manifesto, it explains most of the points addressed about facebook - the swapout of the old pages, for example. It also raises a point about Breivik having run a datamining project on FB to gather personal data on politicians (enemies). Where the manifesto first came to public attention is also quite interesting.

3. Going on with the manifesto, it states that he's been at this since 2002. Long history of raising money, and a claim of having travelled to Liberia to meet with a mysterious Serb war hero and then on to London to be a founder of an organization, which he's just a part of - not the leader. The founding council is said to be 9 members *and three who were not able to attend*. 12 original founders.

4. At the time of the attack he seems to have exhausted his funds. Maybe that is why he went over the edge just now?

Researchers are going to have a field day with this stuff for years to come. There's clear links to Christian beliefs, but also to nazi thought - examples:

I followed the Norway happenings on Twitter when Breivik's Facebook profile became first known, and it is the second screen that is the correct one (I checked it right away it became known, and it was the one that contained the video links posted one week earlier), while the first screenshot above probably is one of several fake profiles that were created shortly after the first profile was known.
