This is the essential battle in the war against Islamic supremacism and Islamic law (blasphemy in the sharia). Today in Virginia, close to 100 patriots rallied for the return of Fred Grandy. Get into the fight.
Thanks to the intrepid Denise Lee for the snaps and the coverage (scroll):
The hero in the trenches is great American and Chairman of VAST (Virgina Anti-Sharia Taskforce) and AFDI/SIOA board member, who is leading the charge against the push for free speech restrictions.
Denise Lee: "At the end the patriots took Old Glory for a spin around the block so WMAL could get a better view of what it is they were letting CAIR trample on."
Here is Denise's live coverage:
On an overcast day in the nation’s capital patriots from around the metropolitan region of D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia met to stand against tyranny and the oppression of their right to freedom of speech at the foot of the WMAL studios on Jenifer Street in Friendship Heights. You may remember that last week the news hit the fan that Fred Grandy of the popular WMAL morning show, The Grandy Group, was let go when he refused a demand from the station that he “cool it” while talking about Islam and it’s more unsavory aspects. He was also told that his wife, Catherine Mann Grandy, known as “Mrs. Fred” on the show, would no longer be allowed to express her opinion on her popular Friday show, the Daily Caller, where she educated the listening audience on the dangers of Sharia law and the stealth jihad going on in our country at a steady pace. Fred said he couldn’t do that and the station let him go. Reliable sources tell us that the Council on American Islamic Relations, aka CAIR, had a hand in pressuring WMAL into getting rid of Fred Grandy because he and his wife were exposing too much of CAIR’s agenda. The patriots who showed up at the peaceful demonstration this morning were having none of it.
Former WMAL morning show listeners carried signs that said “Bring back Fred”, “CAIR has hijacked WMAL” and “CAIR says jump, WMAL says How High?” Jim Lafferty of the Anti-Sharia Task Force spoke about the need for Americans to stand up for the Constitution and to oppose Sharia law. There were chants among protesters including “Bring the Grandy’s back” as well as “CAIR has got to go”. One lady with a beautiful voice lead the group in singing God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner. And along with the singing and chanting there was some educating going on that would have made Mrs. Fred proud. Some members of the group spoke with passing Metro employees who wanted to know what it was all about. One woman told a young man that Fred Grandy was fired because CAIR had put pressure on WMAL and he was appalled and wanted to know more. When the woman explained that CAIR is committed to changing our laws so that some fifty year old man could marry his nine year old daughter he really got hot.
Fox News along with Paul Bryan and Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media were on hand to video the event and interview patriots. One of the highlights of the event was when several people unfurled a huge American flag and we all said the pledge of allegiance together. Another was when our good friend Chris Plante (another patriot who tells it like it is) of the Chris Plante Show that comes on right after The Grandy Group snuck down during a commercial break to offer his support for what we were doing.
All in all it was a very good day to stand up for freedom of speech and let WMAL know that we Americans will not let CAIR dictate what we may or may not say in our own country, no matter how uncomfortable it makes them. This isn’t over, not by a long shot.
