UPDATE: NYPD Helicopter video of 9/11 attack surfaces
A newly released video shows the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attack from the vantage point of a NYPD helicopter.
According to Gawker, the National Institute of Standards and Technology requested the 17-minute video through the Freedom of Information Act, and the video was sent anonymously to the secret-sharing website Cryptome, which posted it. The Institute investigated the 9/11 attacks.
A warning to readers: The video, posted below, is difficult to watch--and voices on the soundtrack can be heard cursing as the horrific attack unfolds.

It's great to see you're screening it in my backyard, Tampa. It would be fantastic if you could get it into historic Tampa Theatre. But wherever it's showing I'm looking forward to seeing it. Temple Terrace, the home of Sami al Arian, is adjacent to Tampa so this is the perfect place to drop it. At one point I bought in to the idea that he was being persecuted, but the more I looked into it less I could support that position. Eventually, I recognized that al Arian was not such a great guy and likely guilty of materially supporting Palestinian Islamic Jihad, was no friend of the U.S. and a committed enemy of Israel. Our local community radio station, W-MNF, jumped on the al Arian bandwagon early, but even they went silent on his case once it became apparent that he did in fact support a terrorist organization and basically wanted to wipe Israel off the map. It will be interesting to see if your documentary triggers a protest.

Feel free to use the following Ms. Geller and friends - no attribution required. Below would make some good posters/flyers/pre-movie on screen public service announcements, etc. Koran verses for proof in brackets.
A rational fear and hatred of evil IS NOT phobic.
An irrational love and acceptance of evil IS manic.
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Pre-Pubescent Child Rape ( Koran 65:4)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Gang Rape (24:13)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Sex Slaves (4:24)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Amputation and Crucifixion (5:33)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Beheading (8:12, 47:4)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Wives Beating (4:34)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Murder (2:191, 9:5, 9:111)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Theft and Robbery (Entire Chapter 8 called Booty)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Extortion (9:29)
It is NOT ISLAMAPHOBIC to have a rational fear of Lying (3:28, 5:51)
It is ISLAMAMANIC to not object to be called:
diseased (2:10), evil (2:99), deaf dumb and blind (2:171), can't be our friends (3:28), are our enemies (4:101), losers (5:53), pigs and apes (5:60), evil (5:59), worst beasts (8:55), filthy (9:28), perverts (9:30), and the vilest of creatures (98:51).

hello Pamela
I,like you, knew nothing of islam on sept 10, 2001. I, like you, have been compelled to find out everything I can. Since that day I've read far and wide, including many of your recommended books and watched/read your links. From here in australia i thank you. I link you. I wish you the very best. I support you 100%. Thank you for all that you do.

THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE SENT BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM THIS IS ALL HAPPENING BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO DO THIS.
THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS HAS ALLOWED THIS BECAUSE WE ARE TOO NICE AND NAIVE, IF YOU KNOW WHICH WE DO KNOW HOW MUCH WORSE ITS GOING TO GET, THEN OUR COUNTRY OWES IT TO US TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING BY GETTING RID OF THE PROBLEMS,
SEND ALL BACK, PACK UP THE PLANES AND AWAY THEY GO.
OUR COUNTRIES STUPIDITY IS KILLING US WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

Thank you, Pamela for posting this.
I cry whenever I see the towers go down.
Those flying bodies break my heart. They did not FALL to their deaths, they had to jump - smoke and flame or die by leaping - what a horrible choice to be forced to make.

Any chance of a showing somewhere in southeast Michigan? How about right here in Flint, MI? (Which, BTW, is NOT Michael Moore's hometown.) We have, believe it or not, an annual film festival -- to which Fat Boy has never been invited nor attended. The festival is not only open to Michigan film makers, but independent film makers from around the world. This film would be a perfect addition to this year's festival, slated for October 14 and 15 this year. Pass it along to the producers: http://www.theflintfilmfestival.com/

Tears of regret...I used to live right next to Belmont, in Watertown. I'd have been first in line.
If you come to Tampa, I'll be no worse than 2d in line (Morty, above, might beat me!)

friends:
i watched the movie recently, and it is powerful and compelling.
as always, pamela geller tells the story of large events through the voices of people who experience them. no bombastic talking heads, just ordinary folks who give very moving accounts of what happened to them, and to loved ones, on that day that shaped our lives and history.
it is a very moving film.

p.s. some of the footage is very graphic. it is good that we not forget the carnage that was involved. and, yes, when i was done watching, i was again enraged. and, saddened, that for so many of our countrymen the event(s) seem to have faded from their awareness.
