Last week I posted about Islamic supremacists Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali speaking at a Muslim Brotherhood-linked fundraiser (here). Both men have denounced Israel, and support Hamas and terrorism. Imam Ali spoke at University of California at Irvine in May 2010, and his support of terrorism was condemned by Chancellor Michael Drake. Drake released this statement on May 15, 2010, on behalf of the University, “Let me be clear: we condemn the speaker’s endorsement of terrorism….these remarks supporting terrorism were deplorable.”
Atlas urged readers to protest alongside other great Americans. Close to 1,500 patriots and counter jihadists showed up.
Southern California’s Response to ICNA Fundraising Event
In Yorba Linda Sunday February 13th
A wave of 1,500 American Patriots arrived early outside the Community Center in Yorba Linda to express their concern over the Muslim Brotherhood linked ICNA holding a fundraiser. The fundraising event featured two radical Imams as the speakers. Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. And Amir Abdel Malik-Ali a self professed supporter of Hezbollah. Malik just a month ago gave the closing speech at the MSA Western Conference at UCLA. He ended his speech by asking everyone to rise and join him in the pledge of allegiance. Here is his rendition of the pledge of allegiance which he recited.
- Allah is my Lord
- Islam is my Life
- The Quran is my guide
- The Sunna is my practice
- Jihad is my Spirit
- Righteousness is my Character
- Paradise is my Goal
- I enjoin what is Right
- I forbid what is Wrong
- I will fight against Oppression
- And I will die to establish Islam
People started arriving hours before the 5:00 PM scheduled fundraising event with flags and donned in red, white and blue. Several even brought their dogs out, on a nice warm day. The crowd listened to patriotic songs and engaged in conversation with one another. “Our Event” officially kicked off at 4:00 PM with several public officials in the speakers line up. Congressman Gary Miller (CA-42) and Congressman Ed Royce (CA-40) spoke out against the Islamic fundraiser. Also speaking were Nancy Rikel, Mayor of Yorba Linda, Councilman John Anderson and Villa Park City Councilwoman Deborah Pauly. Rounding out the speakers were two Christian woman converts from Islam.
Several media outlets were present. ABC news covered our event live for awhile. Several other news channels were present taping the event for later showing. Many interviews were done with the various reporters and television crews who were present.
Unfortunately many of the news outlets left our group to cover a splinter group of about 50-75 people shouting at the arriving muslims for the fundraiser. And this group ended up getting more news coverage than did our speakers.
