And there you have it. The face of "democracy" in Egypt...or rather, nothing has changed from before the uprising. Intimidate and kill those you don't like.

WHY do the Copts have allegiance to this country any more? It will not stand by them.

Democracy in Islam? You've gotta be kiddin'...

Muslims will first kill the Christians and Jews. Or, drive out all Christians and Jews from their native land.

After all non-Muslims are killed, converted, or driven out, Muslims will start killing each other in the forms of stoning women to death for being accused of committing adultery and killing any Muslim man who questions the authority of Islamic Shariat.

That's why American government thinks Muslims are very "moderate" people.

I guess someone didn't get the memo that Copts and other non-muslims are Egyptian too. Barry has blood on his hands for helping to usher in the new wave of islamomadness.

Not quite on topic with Egypt, but here is part 1 of another inside look at islam, and part 2 is also posted at the website.

http://studygrowknowblog.com/2011/02/25/inside-islam-a-true-story-part-1/

No, Copts are the true Egyptians. The Arabs are the interlopers. As a Christian Egyptian girl said to me,
" No, I'm Egyptian. Muslims are Arabs." This apparently is believed by all the Copts in Egypt. These same Copts tattoo a cross on the inside of their babies' wrist in case they are kidnapped and brought up as Muslims. This is a very real fear as, historically, it has happened many times.

The Copts were there before the Arabs invaded. The English words "Copt" and "Egypt" have a common root.

The smaller armored personnel carriers doing the firing are American M113s.

Our tax dollars at work!

Religion of Peace at work. Somehow when these victorous Islamic Warriors turn those guns on the Jews in Israel I doubt they'll face unarmed Monks and Christians praying. The G-d of Israel is a little different!LOL!

Islamic Brotherhood is nothing but al-Qaeda in a different name.

Now, Egyptians receive over 2 billion dollars annually from the United States Treasury as RANSOM for not attacking Israel.

If the U.S. decides to stop giving money to Egyptian Muslims, Egyptian military will unite with al-Qaeda and Hamas terrorists to start launching missiles to Israeli cities.

Then, American government will send more money to Egyptians to stop attacking Israel.

If there is a food-crisis this year in Egypt and Muslims start to die on the street corners, President Baraq Hussein, Jr. will send boat-loads to food and non-alcoholic drinks to his Muslim brothers and sisters in Egypt.

Someone didn't close their bold tag.

Majumder, that's democracy in in action in Egypt.

"Poll shows Egyptians in favor of democracy and stoning for adultery
Discussions in the mainstream media about demands for democracy in Egypt have tended to treat such goals as mutually exclusive. But as we have seen in Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, democracy and representative governments do not guarantee the protection of human rights and civil liberties.

Once again, a democracy is only as good as the values that inform its participants.

Case in point: Yesterday on Fox News, Zuhdi Jasser claimed that “The Egyptian people are no different from us as Americans.” One could go on all day about that, citing the prevalence of female genital mutilation in Egypt among other things, but this poll amply proves that a desire for democracy does not guarantee a desire for human rights by standards Westerners would even recognize.

A Conversation with a Neo-Conservative about Egypt
by Sultan Knish

2. “This is a struggle for freedom and democracy.”

Freedom and democracy are not synonymous except in political speeches. Polls show that most Egyptians are less committed to freedom, than that they are to Islamic law. If that is the case, then democratic elections will lead to less freedom, not more. Democracy is not the same thing as freedom, and conflating the two is empty rhetoric. It sounds good in a speech, but fails as an argument.

3. “Mubarak is a dictator”

Mubarak is certainly not your Uncle Fred, but Egypt is still one of the more freer and open societies in the region. Especially when compared to Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE and many others. The fate of Christians and women is not likely to improve in a parliament with a strong Muslim Brotherhood presence. Removing Mubarak will strengthen the position of groups who are far more totalitarian than Mubarak.

4. “As Americans we should support democracy in Egypt”

Kefaya, the National Movement for Change, is an anti-American organization. It is already allied with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Egyptians may do as they please, but why should we support the removal of a pro-American leader by a coalition of lefitsts and Islamists? Shouldn’t our national security take precedence over perpetrating another Iran in the name of “democracy”.

5. “It’s in our ideals to support a people’s struggle for self-determination”

It’s not in our ideals to support people who bomb churches and murder little girls. Most Egyptians want to see Muslims who leave Islam executed. Mubarak doesn’t. Most Jordanians want the right to kill their daughters or sisters when they dishonor them. King Hussein doesn’t. Do our ideals really call on us to support church bombings and the murder of little girls in the name of democracy? And isn’t placing democracy above human rights ideological fanaticism?

6. “How can we support a dictator over a democratic movement?”

Why do we have to support either one? Why can’t we let the Egyptians work it out themselves. It is their country after all. We’re not the rulers of the planet. We could just stand on the sidelines and worry about our own problems. Like that massive deficit.

noallahhere is correct: The Copts are genuine Egyptians and the very first Christians, having been members of the church as it was originally founded in Alexandria--among other places--2,000 years ago. The monks at two points are chanting "Kyrie Eleison," "Lord Have Mercy."

The Copts' form of Christianity is not widely known in the United States. Students of the world's religious traditions might be interested to find that ancient Christianity is substantially different from what most Americans recognize as Christianity--Protestantism and Roman Catholicism--which are products of the overly-rational west. Orthodoxy, as it is called, is mystical, transcendent, forgicing, and incredibly beautiful.

The Islamic barbarians--and they are barbarians--destroying the monastery can be compared to vultures shitting on the Taj Mahal.

By the way, that democracy can be equal to Sharia Law in Muslim majority countries such as Egypt is a fine example of why the Founding Fathers of America rejected democracy in favor of a republic form of government.

“A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.” – Thomas Jefferson

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” – Thomas Jefferson

"We are now forming a Republican form of government. Real Liberty is not found in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments. If we incline too much to democracy, we shall soon shoot into a monarchy, or some other form of dictatorship." - Alexander Hamilton

Dr James McHenry: “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
Benjamin Franklin: “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

The Founding Fathers Rejected Democracy
by Dr. Harold Pease
The Founding Fathers universally rejected democracy and hoped that posterity would never turn the United States into one. The word they used was “Republic,” which is not synonymous with “Democracy.” The word “Democracy” is not in the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. Even the Pledge of Allegiance is “to the Republic for which it stands.”

Of course, I meant "forgiving" in my previous post.

Islam - what a filthy piece of crap religion.

Zuhdi Jasser is on the radio here all the time as a "Moderate Muslim" expert. Problem is no one practices his imaginary version of Islam. I believe he is being a good muslim and telling deliberate lies.

i can't even respond to this without using a handful of expletives.
what the Hell is wrong with those people??????

it's so hard to discern what is going on this video (other than armed soldiers firing on defenseless people)
who are the people dressed in black? what are they singing @4:25? and who shot the video?
..........AND WHY ISN'T THIS ON THE AMERICAN NATIONAL MEDIA???????
oh, silly me. that would be Telling The TRUTH!!

Not a word from Muslim Obama. He's happy now, the Muslim Brother hood is now leading the Egyptian army in killing off all the remaining Coptic Christians that remain in Egypt. Are you happy now Muslim Obama?

The Jews were in Egypt before the Arabs even existed.

A lot of their gear came from the US.
But are still wearing Soviet Red Army head gear?

I suppose if the christians were building the fence further than was necessary it could be seen as talking illegal land but I find that really dubious and thin to be honest.

Fence border? Get real, I didn't see any of those Egyptian Army guys holding a map. But that's a great sounding excuse, I'm sure they'll use it!

Christians, pray for these dear people!!!!!

Look Obama what you have unleashed. This must make you very happy
indeed.

That's the "reason" though, isn't it? I am confused as to why these soldiers have time on their hand to be doing this at all.

He is ecstatic! Yhings are going just as he planned,

He is ecstatic. Things are going just as he planned

I don't give Jasser the time of day because I don't trust him. I don't care about his reputation or that Spencer respects him or that Glenn Beck calls him a friend. I don't trust Jasser. Period.

Guys in black are Coptic Christian monks.
They are singing "Kyrie Eleison" which means "Lord, have mercy".

It's not just this pogrom against the Copts and all Christians in the middle east that Obama's incompetence and cynicism have encouraged, but the takeover of the middle east by the Islamists. When it's all over, O will be responsible for the shedding of much blood and the loss of many innocent lives.

I almost wish there would be another Israeli-Egyptian War so that Israeli armor could crush these savages and destroy all their American built military equipment, being used to persecute these poor Copts.

Muslims with guns ALWAYS have enough time to oppress kaffirs.

Collectivism has no mind or reason. Small wonder it can never make progress.

The group is merely a verbal convenience: not reality.

The only kinds of humans are individuals. Have you ever seen any other kind?

There is no other kind but individuals.

Yes; it is an I.Q. Test. Mr. Words, Obama, fails, too. Daily.

What choice do they have, tfb?. The Coptic Christian community have been in Egypt for 1700 years, three hundred years before than the Muslim pestilence that arrived in 650 AD. Indeed the word Copt is very likely derived from the Latin word for Egypt "Aegyptus" (pronounced with hard G). They won't leave; they'll stand and die there if that's what it comes to.

You should be careful about describing those vehicles as "Army Tanks" These are American M-113 armored personnel carriers from the Sixties with a small turret for a machine gun. It looks to me like only two of the vehicle had a armament as big as a .50 cal machine gun. Noboby who has ever served in the military would call these vehicles Army tanks.

In order to be considered a modern battle tank, you need a vehicle with a main armanent of at least 100 mm. which fires a round with 100 times the penetrating power of these machine guns. This is why noone in the monastery was killed; you're safe from .50 cal rounds if you stay behind walls. On the other hand, a 100 mm or 120 mm tank gun will destroy any earthen or masonry wall on the planet

When you see the Arabic word for "Copt", which is "Qobt" you really see the connection to the Latin "Aegyptus" The Arabic "Q" is very close to "G" in pronunciation and is actually pronounced as "g" in many Arabic dialects. (Hence the alternative spelling of Qadhafi's name as "Gadhafi") So many Arabs would pronounce Copt as Gobt, which is extremely close to "Gypt" in Aegyptus

http://theweek.com/article/index/212009/is-saudi-arabia-running-out-of-oil
This article made me think that what is going on with islam’s aggressive attempts to enslave Western productive World isn’t based only upon their religion affiliation or upon their system of believes but it based rather upon much more pragmatic ideas.
When they out of oil (which is the ONLY product they can offer for any kind of barter’s exchange with the rest of the World) muslims are finished, “kaput”, disintegrated. While being totally dependent upon Western civilization for supply of all the goods they are successfully consuming and efficiently turning to shit, in exchange they have nothing to offer to the rest of the World. Muslim societies cannot produce or generate anything to be self sustaining. This is why they cannot stand Israelis with their productivity, inventiveness and efficiency in every aspect of their lives.
So, again the motivation for aggression of islam is very much pragmatic and enslavement of productive nations is being considered by them (even subconsciously) as the only way for their survival. By the way, it is why their modus operandi is so similar to idea of socialism and its progressive leftist agenda of re-distribution of wealth. And this is why they successfully imbedded Hussein into the pinnacle of the Western world. Just think about it.

The Coptic people are the real Egyptians. Egypt was stolen from then when the Muslims invaded.
Perhaps it is time to take it back.

Take it back is not even in our dreams. We dream to be able to live in Egypt with dignity and be treated equally. We are being told that we already have too much and should be thankful when we are denied our basic human rights. Our struggle in the 21st century is still fighting for the right to freely build churches and dream of the day when a Christian would run for presidency, not that we think he (or even dare to think that she) would have a chance of winning. Just the idea of having the right to do so without being told that we are the "inferior faith" and should not be allowed to top the "superior faith". And by the way, most of Egypt is built illegally, but somehow the Egyptian army found the time during the choas to attack that one illegally built fence in the middle of the desert by peacefull monks who were told by police force before they fled the scene to "protect themselves". Do you know how it feels to have to protect yourself in a country where no one have ever been convicted for killing a Christian. It is always insanity or not enough evidence. I can only chant with the peaceful Copts "Kiriallaison, God have mercy".

It is unfortunate that you feel that way. Perhaps if enough of the original inhabitants of the Middle East were to rise up and demand their rights then perhaps the lunatic Arabs could be forced into making some serious concessions.

Copts have allegiance to the country because the country is theirs.
Ownership was stolen from them when the Arabs invaded.
Most of the Middle East consists of land stolen by the Arabs from the original inhabitants.
This is why they are so violently opposed to the existence of Israel because they are afraid of the example being set by one of the area's original inhabitants taking their land back.
Imagine what would happen if all of the areas original inhabitants started demanding their land be returned to them.

This is the only kind of military scenario that Soldiers of Allah can win.

Whenever they come up against professional soldiers, even African Union peacekeepers, they promptly get sent to meet their 72 virgins.

Hail the Soldiers of Allah, all-powerful and victorious against the unarmed and women and children.
