THE NYC COUNCIL HAS CANCELLED THE HEARING AGAIN. PROTEST RESCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 3 AT 1PM, 49-51 CHAMBERS STREET
49-51 CHAMBERS STREET 12:45PM
Tomorrow the NYC Council is meeting to continue its left-fascist government ban on Wal-Mart in NYC, despite the overwhelming poll numbers showing that 71% of New Yorkers and small business people want it. These elected officials are pushing for the Ground Zero mosque while banning jobs and cheap prices from the oppressed New Yorker, despite the overwhelming poll numbers showing that New Yorkers don't want the Ground Zero mosque. and 70% of Americans oppose the Islamic supremacist mosque.
The strongest support for Walmart came from city residents that unions and politicians claim to represent -- poor and working-class minorities: 81 percent of blacks and 77 percent of Hispanics endorsed the retailer setting up shop here. So did 73 percent of Asians and 64 percent of whites.
The positive views toward Walmart also crossed geographical, age and income demographics.
And two-thirds oppose the City Council attempting to pass a law to block Walmart. Read more here
Wal-Mart will not be attending the hearing. I am glad Wal-Mart is staying out of this heavy-handed mafia-style government action.
“They’ve made a decision to take it to the people,” said Councilman Albert Vann, co-chairman of Wednesday’s hearing, who said that he had not taken a stand on whether he would support any Wal-Mart stores in the city. “But I would’ve liked a bit more respect for city government.”
Why should they respect a government that has no respect for its citizens?
The Ayatollah of Bloomstan is working feverishly to erect the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. This is the madman's focus. The NY snowstorm exhibited what a bloody failure this quisling is. And NYC Council Speaker Christine Quinn is a shrill mosque shill.
Snow is forecast tonight (Bloomberg is holding a news conference ahead of tonight's snowstorm as we speak -- almost a decade as mayor and he still can't handle the most fundamental task. Give the conference after it snows, schmuck, not before. Oh, and try not to kill people this time.) Last snowstorm, Air Bloomberg was spotted in Bermuda. "let them eat snow and Ground Zero mosques!
If they don't cancel the hearing, we will be there, so watch this space. I am sure they would have cancelled, but now they hope that the snow will decrease our numbers. 14 inches forecast. If school is closed, bring your kids!
Please protest the Ground Zero Mosque at these ridiculous communist hearings. Expose the hypocrisy of the NYC Council and Bloomberg's toolbox. No Wal-Mart, but taxpayer funds for a 15-story victory mosque in a building destroyed in the 911 attacks. I do not share their death wish. They answer to the people. Not the other way around. Be there. Come with signs. Here are sign ideas.
I am glad that Walmart will not be appearing at the NYC Council hearing of totalitarian assclowns in their outrageous ban of Walmart from NYC, while advancing the goals of Islamic supremacists.

Wal-Mart Will Skip the Hearing NY Times
Wal-Mart will not participate. Instead, the retail giant has kicked off an intense media campaign, with direct mail, advertisements and a Web site, to get its message to New Yorkers.
“What should be clear, especially in this week’s activities, is that we are not going to be idle while others try to tell our story for us, and build that story on misinformation,” said Steven Restivo, a Wal-Mart spokesman. “We know we have a good story to tell. And quite frankly, we owe it to New Yorkers to be proactive in telling it.
In many ways, Wal-Mart’s New York City Web site reads more like that of a political campaign than that of a retail chain encouraging shoppers to sample its wares. There is a photo gallery, a newsroom and a “what others are saying” section with comments that resemble endorsements, including ones from a construction union; a spokesman for Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg; and a Fairfield, N.J., man named John Bond.
Wal-Mart, which was unsuccessful several years ago in its bid to open stores in Queens and Staten Island, said it had also bought airtime on over a dozen radio stations and advertising space in 30 local papers over the next two weeks, including The New York Post, The Daily News, The Staten Island Advance, The Haitian Times and Korea Daily.
The company said it had sent fliers to residents of 10 City Council districts — none in Manhattan. Many of the districts have primarily low-income residents, and most are represented by council members who will take part in the hearings.
Councilman Albert Vann, who represents Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in Brooklyn and who will be co-chairman of Wednesday’s hearing, said he was not surprised to hear that Wal-Mart planned to skip it.
“They’ve made a decision to take it to the people,” said Mr. Vann, who said that he had not taken a stand on whether he would support any Wal-Mart stores in the city. “But I would’ve liked a bit more respect for city government.”
Other council members were more skeptical of Wal-Mart’s decision.
City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn said: “If you’re proud of who you are, if you’re proud of your product, if you think you’re the best thing since sliced bread, why wouldn’t you come and tout it? They’re not showing up because they don’t have the stuff they say they have. They don’t have the data to refute what myself and others are saying.”
A letter to council members from Philip H. Serghini, a senior manager of community affairs for the company, asked why Wal-Mart was the only big-box store being singled out to testify, saying that the major national retailers Target, Costco, Kmart and Lowe’s all have New York locations.
“I respectfully suggest,” the letter said, “the committee first conduct a thoughtful examination of the existing impact of large grocers and retailers on small business in New York City before embarking on a hypothetical exercise.”
Of course, the NY Times failed to mention our protest, but if Rauf was going to be there, they would have produced a special section on "bridge builders and retailers -- a new era."
UPDATE: Logan will be there along with 911 family members, great American and leader of the Victory Movement, Rich Davis, American Sheepdogs too. Tea party members and other proud Americans will be there as long as the hearing is on.
