"He was a political radical" Caitie Parker
I strongly recommend that left wing defamers and smear merchants tamp down their evil rhetoric and false accusations. Left wing politicians blaming the tea party (before the gunman was named), left wing hate sites blaming Sarah and Rush et al for one of their murderous own. It's always one of their own.
They count on the right to do what is proper and decent and maintain a respectful silence (which we always do) while they foam at the mouth with conspiracy theories and outrageous accusations. They expect us to cede them the field, so that by the time we get around to correcting the record, the lies, and the smears -- the narrative -- is already fixed in America's psyche. Those days are over. This slaughterer was a liberal. This is what they teach, this is the poisonous fruit of their indoctrination. Clearly, Loughner is sick, mentally ill -- but suckling at the lefty teat is deadly poison for the soul.
Check out Caitie Parker, a fellow traveler, quite liberal herself (check out her myspace page) opining on her good friend Loughner.

PAMELA, THANK YOU FOR DOING THE REAL JOURNALISTIC WORK THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA WILL SURELY IGNORE. You're RIGHT about the Left trying to penetrate the psyche of Americans before any real facts are established. How about that sorry-excuse-for-a-Sheriff in Tuscon who literally stood on dead before they're even buried to spew his political tripe, and even went so far as to ASSUME the Congresswoman was shot first (that she was the target) and then the police captain stepped up and stated it was too early to determine that. Keep up the good work, keep digging for the truth as you always do. WE APPRECIATE IT (at least those who are actually interested in the truth).
Posted by: Shawna | Saturday, January 08, 2011 at 09:08 PM
Tell it, Pam. When Left mouthpieces life the NYT's Krugman manage to hold their tongues, at least before the crime scene is cleared, then we can talk about civility. Otherwise, when the smoke clears, their last word becomes "the message."

Thank you, Pam. The lefty spin is working 800+rpm on this one. I will not mention the sites I've visited today (they don't deserve the traffic); the attempts to politicize this event are simply vile. Let us remember and lift up the victims in our prayers; there will be ample time for justice later.

Pamela keep up the good work. You sealing your own fate, solidifying your deserved reputation as a hate monger and someone who will do anything to further the spread of the poison you drink. Talk about selective editing. Do you have any shame at all? Or is the attention you garner so satisfying that the method no longer matters?

As a UK reader, I want to say thankyou for doing this. We will never be informed about this element of the story in the UK and I have to say it is very thought-provoking.
Last year I believe, a Muslim stabbed an MP due to his support for the Iraq War (not too sure if you picked up on that).

NYTimes article on the attack is followed by an endless series of comments blaming Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, etc. So I tried posting a comment including evidence that Loughner, if anything, was left not right, and mentioned also the flag burning video.
Well guess what? NYTimes did not post it. Big surprise.
Comments section following NYTimes articles all to the left because NYTimes simply edits out everything else.

No surprise, Pamela. But, of course, the media will spin, spin, spin this to pin the tail on the tea party.

Not sure how you make this a political position. The kid is mentally unstable no matter his politics. I agree with your point that "leftists" shouldn't make a statement that clearly is not true (that he is a "conservative" but neither is it correct to infer the opposite. This is not a finger-pointing issue as both sides have clearly made it. This guy is unstable. His choice of books by the way include not only the Communist Manifesto- but also We the Living. This is on a website advertising a book claiming that Obama is waging war on America--and you fail to see any connection here? You need to stop framing politics as us vs. them, we're right / they're evil, 2nd amendment remedies, etc. You may not pull the actual trigger but you are complicit in this act, just as you were for OKC and McVeigh. There is no moral equivalency between right and left here--you need to stop delegitimizing people who don't agree with you. Period.

Census taker suicide

Taxi Cab driver shot by another muslim
Fort Hood shooter
Car trunk assassin
Even McVeigh came from a long line of (52 years) UAW/USW union activists/socialists and he was agnostic
Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist
etc.
The consistency and fervor with which they work to falsely blame tea party members for crimes of their own must mean something...

To Shawna; the shooter is "...a left wing loony..." This is what you call a "fact"? You have demonstrated, wonderfully, the nature of the problem. And you have the temerity to call anyone else an idiot? It's too laugh. Just to summarize, Shawna: The congresswoman got shot. That's a fact. Geller's attention grabbing cut-line characterizing the shooter as a left wing loony is just Geller spewing a tremendous and amazingly dumb bias.

Well then, prove he's a "right wing" loony? I'll take a nap while you do that. Looks like the evidence is leaning in the other direction. Why all the concern about "where" the evidence leans, hmmmmm? You sure seem touchy about it. Are you curious to find out who this guy is, what his beliefs and motives are? Let's play connect the dots, shall we? Or you do you care about the facts at all? I bet my left toe you're more concerned with Sarah Palin's tweets, and less concerned with someone's tweets who has actually KNOWN the guy.
Again...I'll try to stay awake while you dig up the pressing "right-wing" loony evidence. YAAAAAAAAAWN.

For he what its worth, even the NYTimes itself is now quoting the twitter feed, including the claim Loughner was left-wing.
On the other hand, it seems pretty clear to me there is no single voice of the right or single voice of the left. Some on each side have been harsh, some not. From the right, for example, I think the Weekly Standard has been consistently calm and reasoned. Be curious if you agree...
Moreover, the kind of debate going on here, in the comments section of a site that is unambiguously to the right, but nonetheless uncensored both from the left and from the right, definitely is not allowed by the NYTimes, the largest voice of the left.

Posted by: Mark Ducharme | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 01:53 AM
Rufus, your comments are libelous (but nothing new, coming from a leftist).
You also have a very short memory if you don't remember the vicious rhetoric and the actual calls for violence and fantasies about violence against Bush, Cheney, et al. Leftists give themselves free rein to say the most vile things about conservatives.
But if conservatives dare to criticize the policies of leftists, then we're "complicit" in murder??
You are a cynical leftist exploiting a tragedy in an effort to silence people you disagree with -- just like Clinton, who immediately blamed his critics for Oklahoma City, and then made sure that the building (i.e. evidence) was quickly demolished and McVeigh got the fastest execution of the past century. And all the witnesses who saw McVeigh with swarthy men right before the bombing were shoved aside, as was evidence of Terry Nichols' connection to the bomb-building expertise of Abu Sayaf. The foreign angle didn't fit the narrative that Clinton wanted.
Just as the actual profile of Loughner doesn't fit the leftist narrative, so they just ignore it and spin a Tea Party connection out of thin air.
Despicable.
Posted by: Radegunda | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 02:44 AM
Where is the violence and hate in our rhetoric?
Do you condone all the hateful and violent rhetoric that comes from the left? Do you condone the leftists who physically assault people who are only trying to exercise their free-speech rights? Leftists are famous for doing that. Conservatives don't.
We think leftist policies are destructive. You think it's illegitimate to criticize your ideology, so you call it "hate" and try to outlaw it.

It doesn't make any sense that a non-American hates the TEA Party.
America haters hate us because they are haters. They don't hate the TEA Party, they hate all American people all of the time regardless of the political climate.
Because hatred is irrational, they have no reason to hate. But the American leftwing is nice enough to give them propaganda that they can use as excuses.
Check the above d-bags IP prefix to find out what country the d-bags lives in.

Good grief this is a really badly designed blog!
It takes an age to load properly.
May be you should take a leaf out of your own book. But I'm guessing you are to obsessed with your own ego to care about the people involved in this incident or bringing American politics into the real world.
Maybe you can explain your logic of attacking the 'left' at the same time as accusing the left of attacking the 'right'??
Surely you are provoking an irrational war at as time, that people should be assessing their own lives and (American) culture.
You also refer to 'their' and 'them' etc, inferring that they are different. It is no wonder the 'left' in the US and accusing people like you of stoking the fire.

If you were such a good friend, how come you didn't see this coming? In regards to the crosshairs from Sarah Palin, I don't think it's her fault.. it is purely that young man's fault, however, political figures like Palin need to take this as a lesson learned that what you say can influence others.

Can someone please explain this to me? (and I'm being sincere in the fact that this is a legitimate question) I'm not political at all. I've never voted. I'm a fairly intelligent person with a B.A. and M.A in literature and English. I guess I would say I'm liberal because I'm definately pro-choice and don't understand why people are so concerned with gay people getting married. Ok, sorry- here's my question: Why is healthcare for everyone a bad thing? And I'll throw one comment in here regarding Sarah Palin: I just really don't get it at all. How can so many people support a person who so often displays a lack of knowledge? Now granted, when it comes to politics, I'm ignorant. But I admit I'm ignorant and wouldn't run for a political position.

The media has for decades built an image of the goodness of the left and evil greed of the right. They have slandered in the most demeaning way a very large portion of the population of US citizens. No one should expect them to now become objective and look for the truth when what they have been wanting people to believe is based on lies.
Posted by: Hainer | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 11:48 AM
My point was and remains about facts vs opinion. Geller makes her site appear to be "reporting" the news. She purports-ad nauseum-to be a truth-teller. This shooter, this kid, is nuts. Dangerous obviously. To reduce this to a partisan politic issue, a contest between right and left wing is so unintelligent. What's it going to produce but more of the gum flapping idiots at both ends of the so-called spectrum indulge in. Geller is a right wing hate monger. There are plenty of left wing hate mongers. There are not going to be many solutions generated by "liberal" partisan politics or "conservative" partisan politics. This story, of course, is once again about guns and how guns are used in your American culture. Because collectively you are (or at least appear to be)amazingly dumb and unable to come to grips with your violence problem you project that violence onto others. So the kid is dressed like a "muslim". He is a young white male, using a Glock for Christ's sake! But instead of doing something about your gun violence problem you want to trade insults on the basis of partisan political affiliations.
Posted by: Johnny Maudlin | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 12:30 PM
You call Geller a "right wing hate monger", then you go on vomiting vitriol and then stick your anti-gun agenda right in the middle.
This story is about ideology. What is driving these people to go out and shoot others in schools, in malls and out in public? If you study carefully most of these cases, there is an ideology laced through them.

Lots of people claim to be "Christian", even obummer. The question is, do they follow the teachings of Christ? There are very liberal "christians" out there who hold very strange views and don't take the Bible seriously.

The freedom to buy the kind of light bulbs that suit my needs. The freedom to keep the health insurance plan that I chose and can (could) afford. The freedom to build what suits my needs on the property I purchased.
The freedom of employers to hire high-school students for part-time jobs at wages they can actually afford to pay. Etc. People who run businesses can say more about the multiple ways the government hobbles their enterprises and puts them out of business.
They are working on taking away my freedom to listen to the radio programs of my choice, and to read the internet sites I choose without government manipulation.

There was also the Democrat/leftist plot to cause mayhem at the Republican National Convention in 2008. It would almost certainly have killed people. It was stopped only because someone connected with the Democrat/leftist group had a conscience and went to the FBI.
Then, the Democrat/leftists launched a hate campaign against the informant. I think he went into hiding.
The so-called mainstream media shoved that incident down the memory hole really fast -- if they ever mentioned it at all.

Wow, that says it all, doesn't it. The MSM are despicable.
Posted by: Radegunda | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 02:45 PM
So will you demand that Democrats stop saying they are "targeting" their opponents and putting a "bullseye" on them?
Will you demand that Obama apologize for calling his opponents "enemies" and using violent rhetoric against them (e.g. "hand-to-hand combat")?
Will you demand that Olbermann, Malloy, Ed Schultz et al. tone down their hateful rhetoric?
Will you demand that Democrats stop telling people that Republicans want to make them poor and die early, because "what you say can influence others"?
I didn't think so.
You want conservatives only to shut up -- just as Obama said that Republicans should sit in the back of the bus and be quiet.

Bingo. The way so many self-described intelligent, educated people fawned over Obama, and still do, is really weird.
I've also got to say that Palin is overrated, but she's mostly revered by people who respect her down-to-earth quality -- whereas Obama was packaged as "the smartest president ever" by people who imagine themselves to be intellectually far above the Palin fans. So they are more delusional than the Palin fans.

The left-wing media lost no time in blaming this on Sarah Palin... I don't see you attacking them for "reducing this to a partisan issue"...?

The gun violence you speak of is due to the fact of being able to buy guns on the internet and through the black market which BTW is being looked after by Muzzies....criminals will buy guns and use them no matter if there are strict gun laws prohibiting their use by the average citizen! I'll bet that if the kid who shot and killed these people in Arizona knew that everyone in the crowd potentially had a gun, he wouldn't have used his! Guns protect law abiding citizens from this type of criminal behavior! Do some research on it! Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world because everybody has at least one gun! Everybody is trained on how to use a gun!
Pamela reports news that the others won't because they are so worried about being PC and perhaps offending someone! If you don't like how she is doing the reporting I suggest you unsubscribe from the site! You are behaving just like all the others who throw out the word "hater"....you condemn truth and resort to name calling! How Liberal of you! You appear amazingly dumb! Why don't you just say you hate all Americans? Let the truth be told!
Posted by: Redneck woman | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 03:38 PM
Redneck Woman: for God's sake, eh? Muzzies control the black market for guns? And who controls the black market for illegal narcotics? Muslims? Mexicans? What colour is money? Where does money worship? I don't hate all Americans. Mind you, none of my best friends are Americans ;-)
America in an amazing nation, an amazing collection of the best and the worst in culture and human characteristics. Because YOU represent some of the worst characteristics is not a reason to suggest I dislike all or even most Americans. As a COLLECTIVE (right, left, center, center-right, middle-left and on and on...) you make a choice to maintain an amendment to your constitution that you prize more highly than you do streets that would be free (er) of gun violence. When a crazy young man, influenced by many things and events and people, no doubt, snaps and uses an automatic or semi-automatic weapon and causes so much mayhem, should you not seriously attack the issue of gun control?
But instead we have the Gellers of the world, and her counterparts on the so-called Left, twisting and distorting these events so that they will fit with their own mentally ill world views. Geller's obsession with Islam is a mental illness, full stop, and God help us all if the likes of Geller were permitted or provided power beyond a blog.

A day or two ago an author was almost gunned down in Italy. Also have been school shootings in Germany and (I think) Finland. Clive Westwood, quite a big London DJ, had his car hit with machine-gun fire while waiting at traffic lights in South London. European-style gun controls didn't do any of these victims much good...
As for Pamela's "obsessions" - it's quite obvious that there are issues with Islam that simply don't exist with any other major religion, ideology or belief system, no? Personally, I'm grateful that she addresses them, and gives attention to stories that the MSM gloss over, even if I don't always agree (climate change, medicare).

Nothing the Republicans or the TEA Party groups have said reach the level of hatred and calls for violence the left does everyday that a conservative or Republican sets in the White House. Ted Ralls called for a violent revolution because the Republicans won the House in the 2010 election, and you have the gall to say that we are spreading hate when we resist your enslavement of the American people!
Posted by: Richard 2 | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 05:08 PM
You got that right, in fact they are often more motivated by politics then the sane people are, a fact the people saying he was insane and not leftist probably want to cover up.
Posted by: Richard 2 | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 05:10 PM
The left hates resistance to their attempts to remove all of our freedom.
Posted by: Richard 2 | Sunday, January 09, 2011 at 05:14 PM
We prefer being free to being in a leftwing socialist utopia that allows the criminals to do what they want and punishes us if we fight back.

Two words - White Renaissance - the group he had connections with.
So how many white supremacist left wing organisations do you know of?

Let me ask you something ASIDE from the tragic incidents that happened yesterday. Did you vote for 0bama?

Dear Johnny....I'm not American...I just don't see where you think that guncontrol is going to stop criminals from getting their guns! BTW...the gun this nut used in Arizona came from NYCity Police where it was to have been discarded!! Chew on that for a bit!
Muzzies do control the black market on guns. Of course you won't believe that because you seem to think they should be held in the highest regard. Saudi's control lots of things, including drug trade. They have the most money!
They are also trying to control American Politics by paying some politicians. Donald Trump just signed a document with the Saudi's for 3 billion dollars, deposited into his account on Jan.3, 2011 in the Grand Caymens. The Document he signed was to say that he'll put his hat into the coming Presidential Elections and muddy the waters in the GOP. If he is up against Obama, he'll throw the Election so Obama gets another 4 years! This is what the Saudi's do!
I see you failed to mention why Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world!
The Constitution is the back bone of America. It had some very intelligent men write the laws and such for a growing , new country. It has worked welland will continue to do so if followed, which the current A-hole and minions are not doing.
I'm sure hoping that there will be more people who think like Pamela. Matter of factly America needs a President like Pamela who won't give an inch to the Muzzies and who understands the ways of Islam. I have heard that Sarah Palin makes the muzzies crap their pants whenever her name is mentioned. She scares them so bad!
Hoorah for Pamela and Sarah for being such strong women!

Another Obama scapegoat whose whole purpose is to throw crap into Sarah's court and to disparage the Tea Party!
It was a leaked memo from Homeland Security and Janet [ I will never tell the truth no matter what it costs Americans] Napolitano. It is only alleged that he was with this group. BUT...this tells me that it was a planned attack provided by the current Administration in the WH.
How often are things like this leaked? One must ask why this information was leaked? I sure wish Obama's BC and other papers which are relevant to his position of authority would be so easily leaked out to the public!!

You do realize that she is not in high school anymore and is a 22 year old woman, right? Wow.
Posted by: Jay | Monday, January 10, 2011 at 02:12 PM
I know Caitie...
First of all, she didn't want all these attention. She wasn't even expecting all this attention. She was clearly reacting to what she was hearing on her facebook and twitter. That's what a lot of us do. She was shocked because this was a guy she went to high school and college with....not to mention she was in a band with him! Remember, she stated very clearly that the last time she had spoken to him was in 2007.
She said he was a good friend back in the day, not now.

Anyone can buy a party membership but that doesn't mean he actually was one! All the evidence points to him being a very far left winger! Even Soros ( Obama's buddy ) had to fire this guy for being too far left!
Did he buy a party membership or just say he was affiliated with the Republican party to disparage the party?
The only way to look at this is that Gifford took one for team Obama from Team Obama! It was set up to disparage the Tea Party and Sarah Palin!! Good thing the left is really lazy!
