Stuxnet -- the gift that keeps on giving. Shut down the nuclear weapons factory and no one gets hurt. Works for me. Savages with sticks are far preferable to savages with nukes.
VIENNA: The control systems of Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant have been penetrated by a computer worm unleashed last year, according to a foreign intelligence report that warns of a possible Chernobyl-like disaster once the site becomes fully operational.
Russia’s envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, also has raised the specter of the 1986 reactor explosion in Ukraine, but suggested last week that the danger had passed.
The report, drawn up by a nation closely monitoring Iran’s nuclear program and obtained by The Associated Press, said such conclusions were premature and based on the “casual assessment” of Russian and Iranian scientists at Bushehr.
With control systems disabled by the virus, the reactor would have the force of a “small nuclear bomb,” it said.
“The minimum possible damage would be a meltdown of the reactor,” it says. “However, external damage and massive environmental destruction could also occur ... similar to the Chernobyl disaster.” The virus, known as Stuxnet, has the ability to send centrifuges spinning out of control and temporarily crippled Iran’s uranium enrichment program. It is believed to have been the work of Israel or the United States, two nations convinced that Iran wants to turn nuclear fuel into weapons-grade uranium.
Iran has acknowledged that the malware — malicious software designed to infiltrate computer systems — hit the laptops of technicians working at Bushehr, but has denied that the plant was affected or that Stuxnet was responsible for delays in the startup of the Russian-built reactor.
The Islamic Republic is reluctant to acknowledge setbacks to its nuclear activities, which it says are aimed at generating energy but are under UN sanctions because of concerns they could be channeled toward making weapons.
Only after outside revelations that its enrichment program was temporarily disrupted late last year by the mysterious virus did Iranian officials acknowledge the incident.
Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s chief representative to the IAEA, cut short attempts by AP to seek comment on possible damage by Stuxnet at Bushehr.
But Rogozin, the Russian envoy, described how engineers at Bushehr “saw on their screens that the systems were functioning normally, when in fact they were running out of control,” conjuring up a frightening dimension to the potential fallout from the virus.
“The virus which is very toxic, very dangerous, could have had very serious implications,” Rogozin told reporters, adding it “could have led to a new Chernobyl.” Experts are split on how powerful the Stuxnet virus might prove.
Olli Heinonen, who retired last year as head of investigations of Iran’s nuclear programs at the International Atomic Energy Agency, believes it could have infected control systems at Bushehr, or elsewhere, causing “a lot of havoc.” Bur German cybersecurity researcher Ralph Langner says that, while the virus has infested the reactor’s computers, “Stuxnet cannot technically mess with the systems in Bushehr.
“Bottom line: A thermonuclear explosion cannot be triggered by something like Stuxnet,” said Langner, who has led research into Stuxnet’s effects on the Siemens equipment running Iran’s nuclear programs.
A spokeswoman for Atomstroyexport, the Russian company in charge of construction at Bushehr, also cast doubt on there being major damage at the plant, saying its control system is fully autonomous and virus-proof.
Florida Judge Vinson: "Because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void"
We have a couple of Americans left in the judiciary, thank Gd.
US Judge in the state of Florida ruled that the Congress exceeded its authority. The judge in Florida issued the latest ruling on the constitutionality of President Obama’s signature health overhaul.
Utah and 25 other states sued to challenge the “individual mandate,” which requires that nearly all Americans carry health insurance or face a financial penalty. The states argued that mandate oversteps constitutional limits on federal authority.
Judge Vinson declared the law unconstitutional. His is the second such ruling. In two other cases, judges determined that the individual mandate was legal, setting up a showdown to be decided months, or years, from now by the U.S. Supreme Court.
But the Florida case marks the largest attack on the sweeping Affordable Care Act meant to extend health coverage to America’s uninsured.
“This litigation is important, and not just because it deals with health care,” said Swallow. “In essence, what we’re saying is Congress broke the rules by forcing Americans to buy a product they don’t want to buy.” (here)
The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt calls for war with the tiny Jewish state. What better way to unify the ummah than with tried-and-true, religiously mandated Islamic anti-semitism?
For all of those quisling clowns desperately trying to scrub the Muslim Brotherhood, here is a good hard slap in the face. Further, it's interesting how the Muslim Brotherhood blames Israel for Mubarak's regime. Not the $300 billion the US has pumped into Egypt. The peace accord (no matter how cold) was a good thing. Now we hear that Obama's would-be peace partners, Muslim Brotherhood's Hamas, are going to destroy the accord. But they want peace with the Jews; get it? Me neither.
Obama has been secretly supporting this revolution for three years. Why? He ignored the people of Iran marching against the annihilationist mullahcracy of Iran. He gave his tacit support to mass slaughter where millions took to the streets.
Anyone who sees this as a good thing secretly dreams of the annihilation of Israel. Big media is not giving you the story. Instead they have the Muslim Brotherhood's US group on, CAIR, calling in from Egypt (and mis-identifying Ahmed Rehab of CAIR as a "democracy activist"). And that was FOX. It's that bad.
Obama's hard left operatives, like frequent White House visitor CODE PINK, are in Egypt now. Coincidence? Methinks not. I don't believe Obama "lost Egypt"; I believe he kicked it to the curb.
Mohamed Ghanem, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, calls Egypt to stop pumping gas to Israel and prepare the Egyptian army for a war with it’s eastern neighbor.
Speaking with Iranian television station Al-Alam, Mohamed Ghanem blamed Israel for supporting Hosni Mubarak’s regime. Ghanem also said that the Egyptian police and army won’t be able to stop the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
Iran is the mullah behind then curtain: (from IBT)
Iran's Press TV claimed on Monday Israel is giving weapons to Egypt to prop up the Hosni Mubarak regime which is engulfed in crisis and appearing to inch towards doom as violent popular protests gained momentum.
The Press TV said reports "followed phone conversations between the US, Egyptian and Israeli defense ministers."
"Israel has provided the Egyptian government with weapons amid the country's popular uprising demanding the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak, reports say," the Press TV report said on Monday. However, the Press TV report doesn't give further details, nor say clearly how it got the news of Israeli arms supply to Egypt. It however refers to an earlier Washington Post report which quoted an Israeli cabinet minister as saying that Mubarak will eventually tide over the present crisis.
The violent demonstrations, which entered the seventh day on Monday, have forced the Mubarak regime to deploy the military to quell the uprising. The CNN reported on Sunday that Egyptian defense minister Mohamad Tantawi asked the public to obey the curfew. The demonstrators are bracing for a military crackdown of protestors in major Egyptian cities under the curfew.
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood Backs ElBaradei Role - Margaret Coker and Summer Said Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has agreed to back the secular, liberal opposition leader Mohammed ElBaradei, 68, as lead spokesman for the country's opposition groups in reform negotiations, suggesting the movement may be positioning itself as a significant political actor in future Egyptian politics. (Wall Street Journal) See also ElBaradei Doesn't Like America - Michael Ledeen Mohammed ElBaradei is one of the last men I would choose for leading Egypt to a "peaceful transition" to greater democracy. He doesn't like America and he's in cahoots with Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood. (Pajamas Media)
Israel Shaken as Turbulence Rocks an Ally - Ethan Bronner Israel's military planning relies on peace with Egypt; nearly half the natural gas it uses is imported from Egypt; and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt more than with any other foreign leader, except President Obama. "For the United States, Egypt is the keystone of its Middle East policy," a senior Israeli official said. "For Israel, it's the whole arch." Israelis worry that a successful overthrow in Egypt could spread to Jordan. And if the Muslim Brotherhood were to gain power in Egypt, that would probably mean not only a stronger Islamist force in Gaza but also in the West Bank, as well as in Jordan, meaning Israel would feel surrounded in a way it has not in decades. If Egypt also turned unfriendly, that would quite likely stop in its tracks any further Israeli talk of peace negotiations with the Palestinians, officials and analysts said. There has long been concern that popular sentiment in Egypt is anti-Israel. Eli Shaked, a former Israeli ambassador to Cairo, wrote in Yediot Ahronot, "The only people in Egypt who are committed to peace are the people in Mubarak's inner circle, and if the next president is not one of them, we are going to be in trouble." Giora Eiland, a former national security adviser and a senior fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University, said even if Egypt did not cancel its peace treaty with Israel tomorrow or in five years, a government dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood would mean "you can't exclude the possibility of a war with Egypt." (New York Times) See also Israel: Ties with Egypt Must Be Preserved - Matti Friedman Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that his government is "anxiously monitoring" the political unrest in Egypt. "Israel and Egypt have been at peace for more than three decades and our objective is to ensure that these ties be preserved," he said. If Egypt resumes its conflict with Israel, Israelis fear, it will put a powerful Western-armed military on the side of Israel's enemies. "Israel has an interest in Egypt being democratic, but through a process that promises sustainability," said Dan Shueftan, director of the National Security Studies Center at Haifa University. "If you have a process that starts with a desire for democracy but then sees radicals take over, then the result at the end of the process is worse than what you had at the beginning." (AP-Washington Post)
Last week I wrote of the stealth mosque going up in breach of local laws on a sweet, quiet, tree-lined residential street in Brooklyn, despite fierce opposition from the neighborhood and in violation of zoning ordinances and stop work orders.
The Sheepshead Bay people have had to take action in their fight against a mega-mosque going up on their quiet street. The Muslim Brotherhood group, MAS, has flouted the law, ignored the zoning rules, and in a frenzy to build, ignored stop work orders. And the government looks the other way (can you say Bloombat?).
In response, the city, infiltrated by sympathizers, apologists and cowards, has done nothing. If this were any other group, they would be up to their eyeballs in fines, summonses and the like. It's time to take action against the Islamic contempt for the law. Where are our elected officials? Have they been drugged? This is their job; instead, they throw whole neighborhoods away with both hands.
Here's the latest from the Bay People.
After multiple complaints, letters to local politicians, demonstrations and media reports, city administration is still trying to ignore the obvious violations associated with the project in question.
Department of Buildings "DOB" is dragging its feet reviewing multiple Public Challenges associated with the property, while construction crews are rushing work at the site, ignoring DOB inspectors, complaints by neighbors and a Stop Work order.
Residents of Sheepshead Bay have no choice but try to ensure complaince with zoning/building laws themselves! Neighbors, residents and our spporters will peacefully picket in front of the construction site at 2812 Voorhies Avenue (on a public sidewalk) every week day from 8AM-4PM until he DOB and NYC will follow their own rules and procedures and enforce the "Stop Work" order as well as force the removal of illegaly constructed st
Help these people save their street, their community. Let's set up car pools and caravans to stand with these people. Hook up in the Atlas comment section. Perhaps a facebook group? All hands in.
NYC Council: Who are you working for? The Majority of New Yorkers oppose the Ground Zero mosque and yet you support that offensive insult. 87% New Yorkers want Wal-Mart, want jobs and low prices, and yet it waste precious taxpayer monies holding hearings, postponing hearings, to ban Wal-Mart. City shoppers could slash their grocery bills by 33 percent if retail giant Walmart is permitted to open stores in the Big Apple, a Post analysis has found.
Who are you working for? Christine Quinn shilling for the pro-sharia mega mosque is ........... sad. What happens to those that share Quinn;s lifestyle in a Muslim country?
These are the times when you can affect change. These are the events that make a difference. Meet me downtown on February 3rd to protest the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. The appointment of the latest imam, who is a fierce sharia advocate and has ties to WTC bomber co-conspirator Siraq Wahhaj, is another assault in the continuing 911 attacks on America. The Ground Zero stealth jihadists have applied for taxpayer funds to build their flag of conquest.
"We just felt it was the right thing to do," Wal-Mart William C. Wertz, a spokesman for Wal-Mart on why they dropped plans for a proposed store near near a hallowed Civil War site.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has abandoned plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. Sharif El-Gamal, are you listening? That is what it means to be "American," to be decent and compassionate. Take a page, learn what it means to be human. Withdraw the Ground Zero mega-mosque.
We are holding a protest against the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque on February 3rd at the NYC Council hearings downtown to ban Wal-Mart from NYC. Please join us at 49-51 CHAMBERS STREET at 12:45PM and fight this grotesque insult.
Christine Quinn and her quisling council are spitting on the New Yorkers they were elected to represent (87% of polled New Yorkers want Wal-Mart's jobs and cheap prices, and the majority of New Yorkers oppose a mega mosque on Ground Zero). Quinn has been very vocal in her support of the mega-mosque and fierce in her opposition to Wal-Mart (nuts). The NYC Council declared December 14th "Hate Wal-Mart day." Has the NYC Council declared "hate Jihad day" or "Hate Islamic Ethnic Cleasning Day" or "Hate the Islamic Slaughter of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs Day"? Hate Wal-Mart day -- this is insanity. Please join us in this protest.
In an interesting turn in the Ground Zero mosquestroisty attack, Wal-Mart has withdrawn plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. Ground Zero is the "nerve center" in the Islamic war on the West; the 15-story Mecca mosque on the Hudson should also be withdrawn, and NYC government should be working to that end, not to ban Wal-Mart from our citizens. The recent release of e-mails revealed a close relationship between Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office and the Islamic supremacist mega mosque, Cordoba. Ninety pages of e-mails going back to 2009 show that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan relied heavily on Bloomberg and City Hall for help, support, advice and assistance as they moved forward to build a 15-story mega-mosque on Ground Zero.
ORANGE, Va. – .... Wal-Mart Stores Inc. abandoned plans Wednesday to build a Supercenter near a hallowed Civil War site where Robert E. Lee first met Ulysses S. Grant on the field of battle in 1864.
Attorneys for the world's largest retailer announced the decision in court on the eve of a trial that would have put Pulitzer Prize winning historian James McPherson on the witness stand. He was to testify that a portion of the site 60 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., was a "nerve center" for the Battle of the Wilderness.
Wal-Mart, which had weathered two years of criticism by preservationists over the site, did not elaborate on its decision to withdraw plans for the store one day before the trial was to begin.
"We just felt it was the right thing to do," said William C. Wertz, a spokesman for the Arkansas retailer. He said the company would seek another location in Orange County and compensate the county for its expenses in defending its decision to approve the store.
[...]
Burt P. Flickinger III of Strategic Resource Group said it is rare for Wal-Mart to back away from a store once it has researched a location and settled on a site. [...]
"To the company's credit they decided to do something different," said Flickinger, who said he is a Wal-Mart shareholder.
While clearly surprised by the decision, preservationists celebrated the turnaround and said the decision signals their resolve to protect America's heritage.
"I hope this sends a message not only to Wal-Mart but to other developers that the preservation community is willing to fight for historic sites," said Robert Rosenbaum, an attorney for residents and the preservation group.
How about mega-mosque developers on hallowed ground?
"On the historic issues, we believe we would have won," he said.
The 143,000-square-foot store planned by the Bentonville, Ark.,-based retailer would have been outside the limits of the protected national park where the core battlefield is located. The company had argued the area was already dotted with retail locations and zoned for commercial use.
[...]The Battle of the Wilderness is viewed by historians as a critical point when the Civil War started to turn in favor of the North. The war ended 11 months later. An estimated 185,000 Union and Confederate troops fought over three days in the Wilderness, leaving 30,000 killed, injured or missing.
Hundreds of historians, including McPherson, filmmaker Ken Burns and celebrities such as Robert Duvall had appealed to Wal-Mart to walk away from the 50-acre property and find another place to build in the rural county of less than 35,000 people.
Where are the historians and filmmakers and celebrities appealing to Islamic supremacist developers? Hypocrites.
McPherson wrote in a summary of his testimony that Grant's headquarters and his senior leaders were encamped near the site of the proposed store and Union casualties were treated on the site or in an area destined to be a parking lot for the store.
"Among other things, thousands of wounded and dying soldiers occupied the then open fields that included the Walmart site, which is where many of the Union Army hospital tents were located during the battle," McPherson wrote.
Three thousand innocent civilians were slaughtered, jumped to their inevitable deaths. Few human remains were recovered; the people vaporized into dust.
Wal-Mart and county officials argued that no significant battles occurred on the site.
But opposition to the store was unrelenting from preservation groups, who supplied maps of troop movements and maneuvers in a region that is dotted with Civil War battlefields.
Yes, and our opposition will be relentless. We will not stop.
While preservation groups battled the store, residents and some county officials had welcomed the convenience of a Supercenter and the jobs and tax revenue it would have generated for the county.
Nobody welcomes the Ground Zero mosque except supremacists and their leftist apologists. Wal-Mart did the decent thing. The store was far removed from the actual site and still they withdrew the store.
The Ground Zero mosque is in a building that was part of the attack. It was destroyed in the Islamic attack on America, the largest, bloodiest attack on American soil. A mega-mosque there? How vile.
Please. Help us fight. Help us win. Never give up. Never give in. Never surrender. Need sign ideas?
Frankly, I am unclear as to where we get these clowns who run for and manage to slither into office, but we elect them, so they are indeed our cross to bear.
But this dhimmi slave takes the cake. Has the NY State Senator ever heard of the separation of church and state, or in this case "mosque and state"? I'll be damned before my hard-earned taxpayer dollars go to zakat (jihad), or to the prohibition of pork, alcohol, and some forms of adult entertainment.
Financial jihad.
If this schmuck introduces this bill, I am suing. And I will go to the Supreme Court with this treasonous nonsense. Separation of mosque and state. Period.
Brooklyn, NY - State Senator Kevin Parker announced a bill today to create an alternative bond market that would be permissible under Islamic law by creating alternatives to the traditional interest-based bonds.
Many Islamic societies use the alternative structure, known as “sukuk,” since Islamic law prevents the securing of interest-bearing bonds. Parker argues that opening up New York to sukuk would open the state’s bond market to a new kind of international investor.
“With the introduction of my legislation, New York leads the nation in fostering new investment opportunities to create jobs, reduce the cost of borrowing, and bring new entrants into New York’s bond markets,” Parker said. “As the historical hub for international commerce and finance, it is imperative we not only stay competitive, but lead in the global marketplace.”
He notes that nations like England, France and South Africa are already in the process of creating sukuk investment vehicles to encourage international investment.
And, his office notes that if the bill passes it will bring in a new, local class of investor that has traditional been left out.
“This legislation reverses an historic inequity where far too many New Yorkers have been unable to benefit from public-private partnerships with the State. I am proud that today, New York once again leads the nation in affording all citizens equal opportunity,” Parker said.

You can't so much as blink with these grifters. They are always working some new angle. Now that Rauf is out of power, now he says he'd be open to moving the mosquestrosity to another location off Ground Zero. Thanks Ra-oof, for nuthin. Remember, then-Governor Paterson was summarily refused any offers of help to move the mosquestrosity, and Donald Trump offered close to a $2 million bonus to move and it was spit on.
So spare us this week's round of fresh deceit, Raufie boy.
WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- A Muslim cleric says he would be open to moving the site of the so-called Ground Zero mosque in New York to a different location.
Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf told the Buffalo (N.Y.) News that he would be open to building on a different site should one be offered.
"I would move because my whole life is about improving relationships with people, and once the project is established, it will have an impact," Rauf said.
The mosque project stirred up a storm of controversy in the United States when it was proposed for a site just two blocks from where the World Trade Center stood before being destroyed in the 2001 terrorist attack by al-Qaida.
The newspaper said Sunday that while no alternative sites have been offered, Rauf contends the uproar has cooled down somewhat. "9/11 family members themselves have said they need to move the discussion in America to one of a mutual healing," Rauf said. "And one of the things that is very clear is that we cannot have that discussion without Muslims at the table."
Which 911 families is this liar talking about. Not the 90% of them that oppose this mosque. I have so many 911 family members asking to speak at our CPAC evnt, I cannot accommodate them all.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) announced on its website jihad (holy war) against the Houthi northern Shiites. In an audio message posted on the Internet, Saeed Ali Al-Shihri, deputy leader of the Yemen-based (AQAP), said that Houthis in Sa'ada, Jawf, and Amran will face a strong war against them, calling on Sunni Muslims in northern Yemeni provinces to be with (AQAP). He accused Iran's regime of backing Shiite rebels. "Jihad against northern Shiites has been declared since the implementation of the AQAP's twin martyred car bombing attacks against convoys of Shiite rebels' in the northern provinces of Jawf and Sa'ada on Nov. 24 and Nov. 26 of the last year," he said. Last year two bombings occurred in northern Yemen with one targeting a procession on its way to celebrate a religious Zaidi ceremony, Eid Al-Ghadir, in Jawf killing almost 24 and wounded several others. The other targeted Houthi followers traveling in Sa'ada to participate in a funeral, killing two mourners and wounding eight.
Yes, tell Obama his foreign policy initiatives are going swimmingly.
Friday I urged all Atlas readers to get to Rutgers University for a flash protest against a vile holocaust-denying, Jew-hating event (wretched Islamic historical revisionism equating Israel to The Third Reich). The righteous and the wicked, this is the new intellectualism of barbarians. The event was sponsored by the leftist/islamic propaganda machine that is destroying college campuses nationwide.
The student running the counter protest called me -- at first, perhaps to speak or set up some counter protest, but it was too short notice. Instead, we needed to to get righteous Jews and Gentiles there. The blogs, list servs, twitter and facebook APB. And many righteous folks attended.
In the midst of a year full of virulent anti-Israel campus events, this Saturday Rutgers University may witness the most objectionable event yet. Saturday night January 29, in the Douglass Campus Center, a Rutgers student group, BAKA, will host an event titled “Never Again for Anyone” in collaboration with American Muslims for Palestine, The International Anti-Zionist Jewish Network, and The Middle East Children's Alliance. This program is designed to coincide with the United Nations’ sanctioned International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day created to remember and honor the victims of the Holocaust. Instead, the focus will be on “the on-going ethnic cleansing of Palestine,” comparing Israel to Nazi Germany.
By invoking the Nazi genocide, this event both defames the Jewish state and trivializes the systematic murder of 11 million people in the Holocaust, including six million Jews. While Rutgers Hillel respects the right to free speech, the comparison of Israeli acts of self defense to the gas chambers of Auschwitz is morally repulsive and has no place on the campus of our State University. Therefore a counter-protest and organized walk-out of the event has been planned. We invite you to join us. This protest will be peaceful and civil. We respectfully request that there be absolutely no verbal or physical altercations of any kind. Any attempted provocation by attendees of “Never Again For Anyone” must be ignored.
Wouldn't you know it, when the subversives caught wind of what they were planning, the institutionalized Jew-haters refused to let the Jews in without paying. Sound familiar? That is soooooooo 1936.
Mind you, everywhere the event was previously posted, it said "suggested donation" -- but the Jews had to pay the jiyza or they were not allowed into the carnivores' circus.
Rutgers student David called me and asked me what I thought he should do. I said, don't give up, don't give in, don't leave, but don't give one plug nickel to those annihilationists. Don't move from where you are. Just sing Hatikvah loud and proud all night long. And film it!
Watch all the videos -- it's a lesson on student activism. I am very proud of these young heroes. I will be speaking there in March or April -- make sure you join me.
Now, how can we get Rutgers' taxpayer dollars pulled? They have no right to discriminate against Jews. Ugly bigotry and racism cannot be institutionalized as it has been at Rutgers. They must be called out for allowing the Islamic supremacists to dictate to the dhimmis.
On January 29th, 2011, Rutgers University campus police barred some 400 Jewish students and their supporters, including some Holocaust survivors, from attending what was billed as an anti-Zionist gathering at the state school. The event, sponsored by pro-Palestinian group BAKA (which stands for Belief, Awareness, Knowledge, and Activism, not that any are practiced) was advertised as “free and open to the public”…that is, until 400 ardent Zionists showed up. Then, suddenly, the suggested donation of $5 became mandatory. In this video, Andrew Getraer tells our side of the story as he explains that the event was advertised as being completely free and open to the public, even though they later claimed all 400 of us owed them $5 for entry.
At one point, a lady tried to tell us that this was OK. However, she failed to acknowledge the fact that it was only the Jews who had to pay, as anyone else was either a member of BAKA or could quickly become one by signing up at their table.
Even if you DID pay the $5, AND you provided the required name and email address, that still wasn’t enough. You also had to show your ID, because…well, I really don’t know. I don’t see any justification for them requiring identification for an event that’s free and open to the public.
At no point did anyone in our crowd get violent.
However, there was at least one member of the opposite side that became enraged when he realized he was completely wrong, after quoting the same Facebook advertisement that we were. He grabbed my camera, but fortunately I got it back from the coward.
We chanted and chanted, but since the police were called so late in the turmoil, they apparently didn’t know what was going on and decided to follow BAKA’s orders.
We later heard the testimony of a Libyan Jewish refugee, who told us that this kind of anti-Semitic treatment is nothing new.
Faced with this discrimination and hostility, we did what Jews do best – sing and dance and celebrate life, love, and Israel, right in the lobby of the building.
Their Facebook invitation and Craigslist post clearly show that they are “free and open to the public”. Also, I never got any refreshments. Note: Their Craigslist post was edited to save space, the description on the page matched the description on their Facebook page.
UPDATE: Our man Tmdrdd was there and captured great video:
I arrived at Rutgers University around 5pm. Already people were arriving to attend the event. As it drew closer to the event, people started to get in line and patiently wait to be let in and for everything to begin.
A campus policewoman came in and announced that there was an area outside the hall designated for those who wanted to protest the event. Those who wanted to peacefully attend the talk were welcome to do so. They were also assured that it was open to the public and did not have to pay the Optional $5 to see the event.
However, things soon changed. The organizers sent out feelers into the hall and, after estimating that there were "150 Zionists" there, then decided to charge a $5 fee to enter. This was a clear case of false advertising since it was announced on their Facebook account. Despite people actually accessing the facebook page on their phones to that it was open to the public. Too Bad, according to the organizers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vanRRYpvb8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0n2PAvlE6I
What followed was an impromptu protest inside Douglas Hall. At one point, upon hearing that Rutgers Students would be admitted for free, the Jewish students held their Student ID cards high and demanded to be let in. But to no avail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZRDJ_2Ymdw
They were still not allowed to enter. A few people (I observed 7 in all) were allowed to enter upon paying the Blood Money. These people, however, were already supporters of the other side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtbudwODojg
Hundreds of people across America marched in solidarity, praying for freedom cravers (and those brutalized Coptic Christians slaughtered by the Muslims) in Egypt. Many good people stand in solidarity with those seeking to live free. Here are some scenes down the block, in front of the UN, in New York City -- Saturday. "Long live the Egyptian intifada." And "Down with the Camp David Peace Accords!" That screams volumes.
The messages were troubling, and Islamic supremacists and their leftwing knob polishers set about to alter the narrative. Their objective is to turn this desire for political freedom into an anti-American, anti-Israel putsch.
Egyptians filled the streets in front of the office of the Consulate General of Egypt in Chicago shouting their support for the protesters back home. Also at the United Nations in New York there was a large rally. The people were carrying signs that said, “Down with Mubarak”, “Down with the Camp David Regime”, ‘Egypt is Free”, and “Egyptian Blood is our Blood”. (more here)
But if you look at the demonstrations in New York, Chicago and such........you will see the infiltrators trying to transform the movement into an ugly, Muslim supremacist, Jew-hating movement.
Check the signs ........Islamic supremacists and Jew-haters are getting their claws into this genuine movement for freedom.
In the UK the violent Islamic groups whose stated aim is to install a worldwide caliphate are at an Egypt protest:
In London, whose future looks a lot like Egypt, Muslim imperialistic groups are agitating and inciting for the overthrow of Mubarak. These most vile elements are strategizing, ginning up what are essentually freedom lovers, but inciting to violence and hate.
Hizb ut-Tahrir (Arabic: حِزْبُ التَحْرِير Ḥizb at-Taḥrīr; English: Party of jihad) is an international pan-Islamic political organisation whose goal is for all Muslim countries to unify as an Islamic state or caliphate ruled by Islamic law and with a caliph head of state elected by Muslims.[1]
They are behind the rallies calling for a pan-Islamic region. Free, free, Gaza, Free free Tunisia, Free free Jordan
Ah, the brotherhood must have arrived. They just started burning American and Israeli flags.
Check out my latest analysis of the seismic shift in the Middle East:
Obama's Carter Moment Pamela Geller, Big Government.
In stark, bitter contrast to his indifference to the popular Iranian uprising in the summer of 2009, Barack Obama has almost immediately engaged in events on the ground in Egypt, and it’s not good. Obama took no such action with Iran — a jihadist terrorist state agitating in countries all over the world. That was an historic missed opportunity.
And since then also, Obama’s most consistent response to Iran (as well as to North Korea’s hostile moves) has been to ignore them and hope that proven evildoers will behave themselves. Wrong. The good cop is off the beat.
Obama failed, and the consequences of his failure have begun to be made manifest now in Egypt. I cannot understate the importance of Egypt to American interests and Israeli security. Egypt is arguably the second-most important country to the US in the region. Mubarak has been a U.S. ally for decades. We send three billion dollars a year to Egypt. And Egypt made a peace deal with Israel.
But knowing Obama, he will throw another ally under the bus.
Yes, Mubarak needs to institute democratic reform. I pray he doesn’t brutally respond to the uprising like Iran did — they slaughtered their people and crushed the Iranian revolution.
Meanwhile, the more the layers are peeled back, the more we see the hand of Iran behind what is unfolding in Egypt and all over the Middle East.
Who has emerged as a leader for post-Mubarak Egypt? Iran’s man, Mohammad ElBaradei. It is widely acknowledged that, as head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), ElBaradei ignored and left out of reports evidence that the IAEA had about Iran’s secret nuclear weapons program. He did as much as the North Koreans to advance Iran’s nuclear weapons program. For years he provided the cover they needed in the international community to build their annihilationist program.
If Obama had seized the moment in the Iranian freedom uprising, we would not be in this position now. Iran is casting a dark cloud over the free world. The mullahs are conducting a covert war against the West in Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran has aligned with Venezuela and Brazil, in an Islamic imperialistic advance into Latin America. And now Iran’s bomb man ElBaradei is jockeying for power in Egypt.
Whatever comes after Mubarak will be terrible. Make no mistake.
The disastrous handling of the Iranian hostage crisis by the worst-ever President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, led to the rise of Islamic jihad across the world (that and the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan). If we still had an ally in Iran, what a wonderful and different world this would be.
The Islamic takeover in Iran also started out as a secular movement and democratic unrest. Then Khomeini flew in from France and it was game over. Fast forward to 2011 in Egypt, and the same story is playing out again.
The global jihad means to install beachheads in Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, and in any other state that may succumb, in what appears to a domino effect. There are now rumblings in Syria and Jordan as well. Turkey is switching sides.
And the rest of the Muslim world has its finger on their itchy trigger. I hold little hope that freedom lovers in these countries have any shot against the devout Muslim movements when the leader of the free world has long since abdicated. Egypt is a secular government. The objective for all freedom-loving peoples in the world should be a transition to a new secular government. Will those elements in the protest movement be able to stave off Islamic supremacists? Iranian imperialism? I think not.
Iran has its hooves all over this.
This could be America and the West’s worst nightmare. All that military aid in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood would change everything. The Muslim Brotherhood is the head of the snake in the global violent Islamic supremacist war. They are our mortal enemy and are committed to our destruction. In a captured internal document in the largest Muslim Brotherhood terror funding case in US history, the stated aim of the Muslim Brotherhood is “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabatoging its miserable house.” And they are doing it. The Brotherhood proxies here in the US include CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA, et al. Complete infiltration. Their operatives, notably Grover Norquist, are in key positions of power (on the left and the right), bought and paid for with jihad dollars.
And Obama? That quisling President invited the Muslim Brotherhood to his infamous “speech to the ummah” back in June of 2009. Civilizational surrender.
I am all for political freedom. But will Islamic jihad allow for anything but the sharia? Never. As bad as Mubarak was and is, Islamic law is far worse. The battle in Egypt is between the secularists and Islamic supremacists; they are united only in their hate for Israel, as mandated by the Qur’an. The cries of “Allahu akbar” in the streets do not instill confidence in the outcome.
I warned earlier (here and here) that the Islamic supremacists and their leftist tools in the media and culture at large would whitewash the violent and brutal islamic supremacist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, and pave the way for a fundamentalist Islamic takeover of Egypt. They wasted no time. At Salon, erudite savages suited in civilian attire, blared this headline:
Pamela Geller cheers for mass arrests, worries that Obama will throw our "ally" under the bus
"Cheering for mass arrests?" Hardly. My fight, always, is for freedom. A secular government in Egypt would be preferable to the most radical and extreme system of governance on the earth. That's the goal.
Where were these jackals when the Iranians were marching for freedom against an Islamic regime (one that these leftist tools are helping to install in Egypt)? Why weren't they calling for Ahmadinejad to step down? Why did they aid and abet the Iranian mass slaughter in the summer of 2009? The mass media coverage of Egypt vs. the media's silence of Iran is jaw-dropping.
As the media goes about its business of dhimmi dog, the whitewashing of the Muslim Brotherhood, which I predicted here: whitewashing the Muslim Brotherhood.
Much to the left's chagrin, the Egyptian people are not burning American and Israeli flags. But I am sure CODE PINK and CAIR are working their magic over in Egypt. It wouldn't be wise in marketing the MB, now would it?
Why is CODE PINK is Egypt? And CAIR?
Check out Reuters. The Muslim supremacists know the left will do anything and align with anyone against America. Here is a member of the banned Muslim Brotherhood, on Saturday. "Islamic rule in Egypt would pose no threat to the West because it would be more democratic and broad-based than President Hosni Mubarak's 'dictatorship.'" The taqiya is spinning faster than Iran's infected centrifuges:
"That's more important than declaring that a 'new Islamist era is dawning', because I know Islamists would not be able to rule Egypt alone. We should and would cooperate -- Muslims, leftists, communists, socialists, secularists."
Further expect the America-hating, Israel-hating left to take to the streets in the USA demanding the US assist the Brotherhood in ousting Mubarak. Check this out from the warlike "anti-war" groups here.
Egyptian protests intensify, challenge 30 years of pro-U.S. dictatorship Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in cities across Egypt demanding the ouster of U.S. ally President Hosni Mubarak. These are the largest anti-regime protests in Mubarak’s 30-year rule of this North African country of 85 million people. Though the White House has declared the Mubarak regime “stable,” even greater protests are expected on Jan. 28 following Friday services at mosques throughout the country. Egyptian opposition forces were inspired by the uprising in nearby Tunisia, which on Jan. 14 forced that country’s dictator, Zine El Abadine Ben Ali, to flee to Saudi Arabia. The uprising in Tunisia surprised not only its own rulers but their imperialist overlords in Paris and Washington. ...
And the subversive anti-American Jew-haters at Code Pink in Egypt right now? There are no coincidences, folks.
I just phoned Tighe Barry, a great US activist with Code Pink, who has been in Cairo, Egypt, all week. Here is the audio.
Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza. And they are working with the MB in Egypt. This is not surprising, but it is catastrophic. Worse is media outlets running commentary from the Muslim Brotherhood organizations in America, like CAIR earlier today on FOX news. The MB's stated goal in the West, according to an internal captured document entered into evidence in the largest Hamas funding trial in US history, "is eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within."
The following is a report from a STRATFOR source in Hamas. Hamas, which formed in Gaza as an outgrowth of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood (MB), has an interest in exaggerating its role and coordination with the MB in this crisis. The following information has not been confirmed. Nonetheless, there is a great deal of concern building in Israel and the United States in particular over the role of the MB in the demonstrations and whether a political opening will be made for the Islamist organization in Egypt.
The Egyptian police are no longer patrolling the Rafah border crossing into Gaza. Hamas armed men are entering into Egypt and are closely collaborating with the MB. The MB has fully engaged itself in the demonstrations, and they are unsatisfied with the dismissal of the Cabinet. They are insisting on a new Cabinet that does not include members of the ruling National Democratic Party.
Security forces in plainclothes are engaged in destroying public property in order to give the impression that many protesters represent a public menace. The MB is meanwhile forming people’s committees to protect public property and also to coordinate demonstrators’ activities, including supplying them with food, beverages and first aid.
The above alert was provided by STRATFOR.

For years, since 911, actually, we have been told that Islam is a religion of peace (despite the tens of thousands of Islamic attacks across the world since 911) and that most Muslims are moderate, peace loving, tolerant, blah, blah, blah.
So where are they? Seriously. The entire approach and US policy is based on this false premise. After all, the thinking goes, if Islam is going to be reformed, it will have to be done by those Muslims. Yes, and Santy Claus is gonna be especially good to me this year.
Two honor killing trials are underway. One in Arizona and one in New York. Where are American Muslim women protesting this ghastly gender apartheid? Christians are being slaughtered in the name of Islam in Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia. Where are the Muslims taking to the streets? When the mullahs were slaughtering the people in Iran, where were the American Muslims? And what do we hear at the idea that the brutal, bloody Muslim Brotherhood may seize power in Egypt? Nothing. The only voices we hear are those of Islamic supremacists like Muslim Brotherhood CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, et al, advancing Islamic law and imperialism.
Pakistan is executing Christians for blasphemy (more on this from Mark Durie) -- where is the outrage among the "moderates"?
In the Toronto Star of Friday January 21, an article was published with the headline 'Pakistani Christians seek safety in Islam'. It described a steady stream of Christians who are converting to Islam in Pakistan in order to ensure their safety and the safety of their children.
Many incidents have been reported from Pakistan where Muslims have threatened their Christian neighbours with a blasphemy charge out of vindictiveness, or to extort something from them. This is a potent threat, because in Pakistan the penalty for blasphemy against Islam is death. The Star reported that Nadeem Anthony, a member of Pakistan's Human Rights Commission, has said:
"No one feels safe right now. People are scared. If you want something from your neighbour or you are angry at him, you say 'blasphemy' and that's it."
It is not only Christians who are targeted with the blasphemy law. The Star article also describe a recent case of a Shi'ite doctor who was charged with blasphemy after he threw a travelling salesman's business card in the trash. The salesman, whose name was Muhammad, complained to religious authorities that throwing his business card aaway was blasphemy, because Muhammad is also the name of Islam's founder. It seems that the salesman was annoyed that the doctor had refused to buy his product, and accused him of a capital offence out of spite. (Shi'ites are a religious minority in Pakistan.) In Pakistan putting a piece of paper in the trash can be capital offense.
Although most of the Star's Canadian readers would view such an incident with horror, these days sentiment in favour of the blasphemy law is riding very high in Pakistan. This can been seen in reactions to the murder of Salman Taseer, governor of Punjab, for his opposition to the law and support for Asia Bibi, a Christian women who has been charged with blasphemy. When Taseer's self-confessed killer, Malik Mumtaz Qadri, was being taken to court, he was showered with rose petals by 400 lawyers, who clambered over each other to offer him their services, and a rally held in Karachi to demonstrate support for the killing attracted 40,000 people.
[...]
There is a basis in Islam's core texts for using fear to encourage conversions. Converting to be safe goes all the way back to Muhammad. The concept is summed up in the well known Arabic phrase aslim taslam 'Convert to Islam and you will be safe'.
Where are the Muslims? Does it not strike anyone as off that our entire strategy is predicated on this unseen protaganist who is going to save the West from Islamic jihad?
AMID THE uproar earlier this month over the assassination of Salmaan Taseer, the secularist governor of the Pakistani province of Punjab, Muslim-American organizations have been largely silent. At a time when mainstream Muslim leaders have been trying to demonstrate their embrace of religious tolerance and pluralism to their fellow Americans, few have had a word to say about this People’s Party leader whose denunciation of Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy law led to his death at the hands of a Muslim zealot — a zealot who has since been celebrated by fundamentalists around the globe.
The most notable silence is on the part of the Islamic Circle of North America. Operating in this country for about 40 years, this organization has ideological ties to the Jamaat-e-Islami, one of Pakistan’s main Islamist political parties. The Jamaat explained away the assassination of Taseer on the grounds that it could have been avoided if the government had simply removed him from office. Though the Islamic Circle of North America does not necessarily take orders from its Pakistani parent, it appears unwilling to challenge the views of its overwhelmingly immigrant membership from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh — many of whom seem to have little sympathy for the slain politician’s secularist views.
Nor is this the first instance of such silence. Last May, when the Pakistani Taliban slaughtered 93 members of a persecuted Muslim sect, the Ahmadiyya, the Islamic Circle of North America held its annual convention in Hartford. Speakers continually reminded the several thousand attendees that “Islam is a religion of peace,’’ yet one of us in attendance heard not a word about the killings all weekend. Other Muslim-American organizations, none of which has such direct and exclusive ties to Pakistan and the region, had even less excuse for their silence.
While Muslim-American leaders are constantly reminding their followers to exercise their rights as Americans, they also embrace the view that Muslims here are part of the worldwide community of fellow believers — the ummah. As such, these organizations are riven by numberless fissures that run along linguistic, ethnic, racial, and doctrinal lines. Their leaders are preoccupied with not saying or doing anything that would cause such fissures to develop into major ruptures.
So while many Muslim-Americans may abhor what happened in Pakistan, others may agree with friends and relatives back home that Taseer’s killing was justified, or at least to be tolerated. In between are Muslims who are conflicted about such events but who get little guidance from leaders who seem to lack either the wisdom or the courage to speak with moral clarity. Some of these leaders are not the pluralists they claim to be. Others have simply grown accustomed to avoiding the difficult choices facing them and instead, especially since 9/11, would rather mobilize and unify their fractious members by pointing to a common enemy — whether it is the FBI, the Patriot Act, or Islamophobes.
The situation is not hopeless, however. It is certainly noteworthy that all the leaders and organizations that have been silent about Taseer’s assassination have been equally vocal and explicit in their denunciation of the slaughter of Coptic Christians in Egypt on Jan. 1. They clearly understood that the killing of Christians by Muslims is not something about which they could remain silent. Now these leaders must confront the reality that in contemporary America, genuine religious pluralism requires them to be just as outraged when Muslims kill Muslims.
In the name of Muslim unity, many Muslim-American leaders and organizations have been less than coherent when it comes to violent extremism. As a result, they have confused their members as to what true religious toleration and pluralism require, and consequently feed the very suspicions of those inclined to doubt the possibility of Muslims fully assimilating to the American way of life. This is a profound disservice to the many Muslim-Americans who are doing just that.
Why is Muslim Brotherhood CAIR on FOX news right now? The Islamic supremacist Ahmed Rehab is on FOX denouncing Mubarak, advocating for overthrow.
Rehab is in Egypt right now. How coincidental. The American Muslim Brotherhood in America is in Egypt as the Muslim Brotherhood plots to take over that secular Arab country.
Rehab: "It pains me that my own government back home supports a dictator....."
Horrible. We expect this from the leftist apologist cable networks, but FOX is dangerous because they pretend to get it.
CAIR has been sending out press releases pushing Obama to push Mubarak out (so, inevitably, ElBaradei, Iran and the Brotherhood can take over).
If anyone can get video -- please send it. FOX must stop this propagandizing for the Brotherhood via CAIR. Or at least identify them as such. Why do they cover for them?

FOX is reporting that Mubarak's sons have left the country; Atlas told readers that last Wednesday. Read Atlas and get it right and get it first.
If the people of Iran took to the sreeets today, would Obama ignore it, and would the media report on it? Tens of thousands of protesters take to the streets again in Egypt, millions took to the streets in Iran. Brutal Islamic dictators. Obama say, "Respect it!"
I cannot understate the importance of Egypt to American interests and Israeli security. Egypt is arguably the second most important country to the US in the region.
Egypt is a secular government. The objective for all freedom-loving peoples in the world should be a transition to a new secular government. Will those elements in the protest movement be able to stave off Islamic supremacists? Iranian imperialism? I think not.
Iran has its hooves all over this.
ElBaradei is in league with Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood. His ruse must be exposed. Why was he allowed into Egypt?
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak named a vice president for the first time in his presidency. Mubarak named Omar Suleiman, his intelligence chief, who has led major foreign policy initiatives in Egypt, such as the Israeli/Gazastan peace process. Will this appointment take?
Thousands are protesting as we speak. Shots heard in Cairo. Police killed.
Israel gets hundreds out of Egypt:
JERUSALEM – Israel's national airline has whisked some 200 Israelis, including families of Israeli diplomats, out of Egypt on board an emergency flight to escape the chaos engulfing the Arab country.
An Israeli official said Saturday's flight included dozens of tourists as well as diplomat's families.
A Cairo airport official confirmed that El Al arranged the special flight. El Al does not usually fly on the Jewish sabbath to appease observant Jewish passengers who do not travel on the day of rest
The flight reflects Israel's concerns over the situation in Egypt — the first Arab country to reach peace with Israel.
Check out Ambassador John Bolton on FOX news earlier this evening. Yes, this is what a President sounds like, as opposed to a clownish poseur. And the worse things get, the more obvious it will be that the ideal man for the 2012 ticket is JB.
FORMER U.N. AMBASSADOR JOHN BOLTON: I think what's clearly happened today [in Egypt] is that the Muslim Brotherhood, the radical Islamist party in Egypt has called it's supporters into the street. I don't think it was present on the first two or three days.
I think after the Friday prayers the Brotherhood brought its people out. That's why the protests are even more extensive today. That constitutes no doubt about it a direct threat to the military government, and I think the failure of the other security forces to bring the demonstrations under control also now explains the presence of the military.
Let me be clear here, this is not just the Mubarak-family government. The military has ruled Egypt since Gamal Nasser and they over through King Farook.
It's the military that is the real government and they are not going to go peacefully.
I think the question is whether and to what extent the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Islamists have infiltrated the leadership. If the military holds firm it's entirely possible, although bloody, that the government can hold onto power. That doesn't necessarily mean Mubarak will be in power, but the military will be, and I think that is why this contrast makes it so important for people to understand, this is not a choice between the Mubarak government on one hand, and sweetness and light, Jeffersonian democracy on the other.
I don't think we have evidence yet that these demonstrations are necessarily about democracy. You know the old saying, "one person, one vote, one time." The Muslim Brotherhood doesn't care about democracy, if they get into power you're not going to have free and fair elections either.
And I think there is substantial reason, for example, to worry the minority Coptic Christian population, about 10% of the population will be very worried if the Muslim Brotherhood came to power.
Let's be clear what the stakes are for the United States. We have an authoritarian regime in power that has been our ally. We don't know at this point what the real alternatives are.
JON SCOTT, ANCHOR: If you are Hillary Clinton, the secretary of state, or if you are President Obama at this moment, what do you do, what do you say? There have been a couple of cautious statements put out by the U.S. State department so far.
BOLTON: Those statements have been mush. I mean this is a case where we are far better advised to remain silent, try to understand better what's going on, what the stakes are, rather than making statements that other people are parsing to say, "oh, they are supporting the demonstrators," "oh, they are supporting the government." I think there is confusion inside the administration.
In all fairness, I think everybody, including leaders of the opposition, was caught off guard by the strength of the protests, but I do think it's important to underline that today is different from the previous days with the Muslim Brotherhood bringing its supporters into the streets, and that's why the stakes are even higher today and in the next few days than they have been.
I do think that the regime is under enormous pressure, there is no doubt about it, but I don't think that just because you have people climbing onto tanks you can assume that they are friendly to democratic values.
I think there is a lot of opposition to the regime and a lot of opposition by the Muslim Brotherhood that is determined to bring down this secular military government, and install one of very harsh Sharia law, which would have enormous implications for the United States, for Israel, for other Arab governments in the region.
You just mentioned the Suez Canal, how would you like the Muslim Brotherhood in charge of that waterway? I think that's the reason why the Obama administration should be working behind the scenes and try to understand better what the ground truth is in Cairo and the other major cities.
