Apartheid Swim: "Sister Splash" at George Washington University

Another victory for the advancing agenda of the Islamic supremacists: George Washington University (recipient of multi-millions of jihad Saudi dollars) has adhered to the sharia and instituted Muslim swim hour, "sisters splash."

The Muslim Brotherhood organization, MSA (Muslim Student Association) demanded the "special accommodation" -- special rights for our Islamic superiors, doncha know?

Ayesha (so named after Moe's 6 year old wife) N. Khan, legal director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, said there are "no constitutional issues with the swim hour because George Washington is a private university." Thanks for the constitutional lesson, Ayesha. So that means that George Washington receives no federal aid? Huminah, huminah.

Women-Only Swim Hour for Muslims Makes Waves on Campus Parent Dish (Hat tip Gulch woman)

In an attempt to be inclusive to all religious traditions on campus, last week George Washington University started "Sisters' Splash," a ladies-only swim hour, according to the university newspaper, The GW Hatchet. The school's Lerner Health and Wellness Center closed the pool to men and covered the glass door with a dark tarp, giving female Muslim students the chance to swim at their leisure, while honoring the basic tenets of their religion.

Everything was going swimmingly, and coeds shed their head and body gear and rocked swimsuits, at least until scores of critics began hurling heated comments that continue to pour in on various blogs and news reports, according to the journal Inside Higher Education.

"Should a minuscule minority force the overwhelming majority to abide by their rules or should it be the other way around?" is one of the Internet comments about the female-only swim, the journal reports.

Others include: "Come on, folks. An hour a week -- what's the big deal?" "It's not an unreasonable request. 'Women' is like *half* the population."

Because George Washington is a private university, there should be no constitutional issues with the swim hour, Ayesha N. Khan, legal director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, tells Inside Higher Education.

"Should a similar program start up at a public university, the presence of church-state issues would depend on the many facts of the situation, such as whether access is religion-specific," Khan tells the journal.

Aliya Karim, social chair of the Muslim Students' Association (MSA) women's group, tells the student newspaper the organization made the effort to coordinate the swimming hour so fellow Muslims would feel comfortable in the pool.

"Personally, I would only want to go when just girls are there," Karim, who is also a Hatchet photographer, tells the newspaper.

Rahiba Noor, a junior who serves as the community service chair of the MSA, tells the newspaper that, prior to attending GW, swimming laps at a private pool was an important part of her health regimen. At school, however, Noor tells the student newspaper she's resigned herself to staying away from the water and using a treadmill.

"Religious values always define us," Noor tells the newspaper. "Although I wouldn't really mind, it would be satisfying to me religiously to swim only with girls."

For some Muslims, being in public without a hijab puts them at odds with fundamental aspects of Islam.

Valdez Williams, the operations manager of the gym, tells the newspaper the university helped the MSA coordinate the weekly swim hour because GW wanted to make the girls feel comfortable.

"The girls should be able to swim here," Williams says. "We will not penalize them because of their religious beliefs."

But non-Muslims are penalized for our beliefs in Muslim countries.

If its for all women I have no problem with it. As a kid in Michigan my dad used to take me to a pool at Michigan State. They had all male and all female swim times. As I recall I asked my dad where the swimsuits were as I had never been naked in public. He said they did not use suits as it was only men in the pool.

The only change I would make is also have a male only swim hour.

Do Orthodox Jewish females have a separate swim hour? Did they even ask for it?

How about lesbians, do they have a separate hour?

It's no different here in australia where several pools have followed suit. in fact the monash council received a petition from only 42 women. The council also intends to spend over $45,000 so no one WILL BE ABLE TO look inTO THE POOL.(JUST SHOWS YOU THE CULTURE THEY COME FROM AND THE LECHEROUS MEN IN THAT CULTURE) Dandenong pool has gone a step futher. they are having some festival that if Australians are not dressed in accord with islamic values people will be refused entry.Some islamic women even commented 'we did not escape from the taliban to come to this' . in both instances the community is outraged but these politicians arn't listening.IN FACT,ONE LABOUR POLITICIAN I SPOKE TO HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME 'WE HAVE TO RE EDUCATE THE AUSTRALIANS" LIKE HELL

Wow, they got that wrong.

In giving these Muslims special treatment they actually discriminated against another protected class - men. Instead of complaining (this doesn't bother me) you all should find a guy who doesn't have class at those hours, and thus that is the only time he can swim there, and have him sue for being discriminated against due to his sex.

For even more giggles, take the money he wins and use it to open up a Jewish/Israel studies program/chair at the school that teaches Israel history from an Atlas Shrugs position.

That being said, if you really want to have some fun, but not sue - find the local Chabad, Hillel, Aish HaTorah, or other Jewish or religious Christian organization and flood the pool with nice Jewish and Christian girls. The worst thing y'all can do is make this Muslim only. How are they going to keep the Jews and Christians out without betraying their real purpose?

walking around today I can't help but wonder, if when they were young men back in the 1940's would they have tolerated any of things we see today. What would have they done to the supporters of a Ground Zero Mosque or to American universities selling out to Saudi Arabia. I agree - if it is females only and you wear a normal suit or a burkini - no problem...I would have enjoyed this as a younger woman to just swim and relax without male eyes...

I also think you could offer a men's only hour - but I doubt many would use it. They like seeing the women and most men don't mind being seen. But it should be offered to be fair...and maybe some would prove me wrong and use it. Also a lot of straight guys would feel they might be mistake for "gay" if they went to men's only swim...But still - it should be offered...

Depends on the woman, but a lot of women mostly dress up for other women, not for men, so the answer for them is no. If there are any Orthodox Jewish women there, they probably refrained from swimming prior to this hour being instituted. Very religious Jewish girls would probably love it and as a matter of fact, there are now bathing suits similar to what muslimas wear for Orthodox Jewish women. The only difference is that the head covering doesn't cover the neck. Most Jewish women who are that religious wouldn't attend a secular university however but if they do, they are use to keeping a low profile and not asking for special treatment. That's caused us problems historically. I happen to think this is a good thing and I'll bet there are a few Christian girls who will be more comfortable too if they attend the U.

I guess ultimately the point is that there are many different groups of students who could find legitimate reasons for having special swim hours. If they started demanding under threats of lawsuits or asking for these privileges as the Muslim Students' Association (MSA) did, the school might realize it is not a practical or a good policy to encourage apartheid or segregation.

Of course it's about mohammedan supremacism. But what WE can do is carry that to it's logical, LEGAL, ridiculous conclusions. If the school restricts pool hours to ONLY mohammedans, that violates FEDERAL law. They MUST also allow JEWISH women in the pool at the same time. Just watch how fast the pool empties when that happens. Say, who wants to bet the mohammedans demand the pool be drained and "clean" water be put in after the Jews swim in it?
