I wonder if this will make it on MSNBC and company. If so, it will be spun as intolerance by the right I'm sure.

Bring more "islam hates women" "sharia is female slavery" signs. THIS is a true womens rights issue!

I will be there in spirit, and my body may be weak by my spirit is STRONG.

"Tolerance" has created 99% of the messes we have in this country. It's time to start making a stand, and letting the freaks cry all the want.

I can't wait!! I'm so pleased at the group of speakers. I'm wondering if some family members of those who died on 9/11 will be speaking as well. I'm very interested to hear what they have to say.

What a list of speakers!!

Newt Gingrich is a turd. Do not trust this sellout for a second.

These comments were made by me on WND today. They may appear somewhat off topic, but they are related to the kind of mentality that keeps pushing this mosque. We are very close to seeing Iran get the bomb, and it is a turning point in history-and it's not a good "turning point"..............

------------------
In every era in history there are forces growing in strength and others receding (as with state power growing vs. church power receding in the middle ages in Europe). Such processes are seen clearly by historians long after the "era" has passed through time.

In this era "terrorism" is seen as the major actor on the world stage. But it is the growing club of nuclear armed states that future historians will note, beginning with Pakistan and India becoming nuclear armed states in the 1990s. Korea has followed down that road, and soon Iran will be a nuclear armed power in the Mideast.

The number of nuclear armed states will grow exponentially in the future and the 21st century will be the century of nuclear war.

The US is in Afghanistan because of a nuclear armed Pakistan, because of what happened there on May 28, 1998 when Pakistan carried out five (very "successful") nuclear bomb tests.

Central Asia (which is very similar to the Balkans prior to WW1 in terms of ethnic and religious hatreds) could be the stage on which the opening act of the 21st century nuclear war show will occur. (It's curtain time?)

The growing number of states with nuclear weapons is the historic process by which future historians will distinguish this era, and that process will have a lethal impact on the world in the next fifty years. Why was it allowed to happen? Why wasn't the process stopped? Those questions will puzzle future historians if human life survives the 21st century.
----------------------------------------------------------
Re my comment: It is important to look at this map...

http://www.globalresearch.ca/articlePictures/Eurasian%20Balkans.jpg

I can see a big conference of historians in 2110 occurring in Burkina Faso (less radiation there?)where historians discuss the process of why many states armed with nuclear weapons was allowed to take place in the later part of the 20th century and in the first half of the 21st century. They will discuss it as we discuss Hitler's rise to power, the events leading up to WW2-and ask the question: why wasn't Hitler stopped in 1936 (as Churchill advised) when the Rhineland was re-militarized?

Many people with an interest in history see the region between Kazakhstan and Yemen(north to south) and from India to Turkey (east-west) as the "Eurasian Balkans" (note the above map). But they never explain why the region is such a cauldron of ethnic and sectarian violence.

Your humble blogger Frank will take a shot at giving a reason.

The reason for the "Eurasian Balkans" can be traced back to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after Turkey was defeated in WW1, as well as the collapse of the Soviet Empire in 1991(the collapse of the Czarist-Soviet Empire is more obvious as a reason for the instability in the region).

The ethnic and sectarian violence of the European Balkans can also be traced back to the collapsing Turk Empire before 1914. Only bloodshed finally drew borders in the Balkans, borders that now make sense (after 100 years of violence). The same will be true of the Eurasian Balkans.

When Empires fall apart (as with the Ottoman and Russian-Soviet Empire) forces that were kept in check (sectarian hatreds, ethnic hatreds e.g.) are let loose. The former regions of the empires become crazy as they find their place in the world by bloodshed.

The problem now is that the "Eurasian Balkans" is already a place with nukes. A World War could easily begin in this region in the next decade.

--------------------------

So far, the "great powers" (China, Russia, the US) have either used nuclear proliferation for short term selfish gains vs. the US (China-North Korea, Russia-Iran), or have been crippled by domestic politics (US)in the matter of the growing nuke club, and the necessity to use force to stop the process.

This has to end. (Will it end? I doubt the "great powers" will do what has to be done re Iran.)

It will be left to Israel to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Mark my words: if Iran gets nuclear weapons there will be a widespread expansion of the number of states with nuclear weapons, and there will be nuclear war before the 21st century is over. (My guess: within 50 years.)

This is the big moment. If Iran gets nuclear weapons the flood gates will be breached and the dam will break, and the cascading nuclear waters will rush into a valley of death.

I second that

pamela:

if will be a pleasure to watch, and cheer. this is something that we cannot afford to "stay on the sidelines" and watch, an issue of this magnitude requires the participation of each of us. as they would have said in the old style english, "we must needs be there."

Sounds like a wonderful list. I wanted to pass this website on to all of you. This man is a former terrorist who was on Sean Hannity today, discussing this mosque. He has been on Michael Savage in the past also. He agrees with you Pamela. You're wonderful. http://www.shoebat.com/

Walid Shoebat has been speaking out against the fallacy of so-called Palestinians (they are Jordanians) and the goals of Islam for quite sometime. He is another brave soul.

Whatever the truth of the matter, we need all the help we can get from wherever it comes. For the time being, Mr. Gingrich is useful, let's not reject his input.

The mosque is a 911 lynching victory shrine for jihad/kkk female enslavement islame

If the crowd ventures upon muslims praying in the streets, just walk over those bastards. Its time New York takes back its streets and sidewalks. Giving Muslims the ok to block streets and side walks is just another step in tranforming American into the kind of Islamic state the Jihadists want. I hope you get a million people to the 9/11 demonstrations Pamela. Its time to rock New York like it hasn't been rocked since 9/11.

A protest should be done in front of Bloomberg's mansion as well. That will be difficult for him to ignore.

Your comments are very appropriate even if O.T. Throw the demonic madness of Islam into the mix and it is truly apocalyptic.
According to Debka.com the private Israeli news service, the real game changer in recent weeks has been the Saudis. They are leaning heavily on president o to deal with the Iranians or else they (the Saudis) will aggressively seek their own nukes, soon. The other Gulf States and the Egyptians are in agreement. Most westerners have little appreciation of the mistrust and animosity between the Arabs and the Iranians. The Saudis have even publicly offered the Israelis their air space for any planned attack.
Meanwhile the Russians are playing the same game they did with Hitler, try and turn an unmanageable monster they helped create against the West. That will probably end badly for them as it did in WWII.
The really chilling thing is that Iran has threatened to retaliate if attacked and they have unknown capabilities in the U.S. and western Europe.
We need to start thinking; I doubt the government is going to be good for much.

Mr. GinGrinch is useful but not an idiot...therefore he is dangerous...let's keep the cause and the fight clean...we are not like those crooks

Notice he releases this info late on a Friday night? Gee, what a SHOCK this is....
FOX NEWS ALERT:

Obama says he favors allowing mosque project near former World Trade Center site...

Just heard it on local radio... He just knows everything don't he? I wonder when Israel attacks Iran if he will say that Israel has a right to defend herself..... He also used his classic BS line " AS PRESIDENT".... We KNOW your the figging president. idiot.

In the past 12 years, three states (Pakistan, India, N. Korea), have become nuclear powers. In each case the world watched the sanctions dance end with the bomb. Iran is taking the same route. But this time it's different because the issue is not an abstract one with Israel: it is a matter of life and death for them.

If Iran gets the bomb, the door is open to the widespread possession of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and elsewhere. Frankly, Israel will literally be killing two evil birds with one stone if and when they launch against Iran. The world should know that. There should be no hypocritical condemnation of them on this matter.

I'm not surprised the Saudis and the other Mideast Arab states want Obama to act. It's getting close to midnight on this. It's amazing that Obama would (like Chamberlain) even think of meeting with Ahmadinejad on this issue. Obama said (I think a few days ago) that he would meet with A. Is he crazy?

I think Iran is the turning point for the fate of the world on this. Club Bomb has to be shut down permanently with no new members permitted anymore. It has to be shut down by force. If all else in the world prove cowardly, I think Israel will do the job. Otherwise....

I just saw some of the pictures taken at E 41st & Madison Ave. , I was shocked. I thought they only allowed muzlims to worship in the streets in Europe. What the hell is the matter with you Americans, have you all lost your minds?

Perhaps women walking dogs in front of the satan worshippers, since they are both considered unclean by izlam no prayer reaches it's goal and muzlims don't like that. Get proactive, dog walking is not illegal.

I wonder why the police allow the streets to be blocked. I doubt non-muslims could getaway with blocking public streets. Make the police pick a side, then rise up and demand a stop to this dangerous double standard.

Just a note. Christopher Caldwell in Financial times on the Ground Zero-mosque:

"A mosque that wrecks bridges"

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/11e44166-a199-11df-9656-00144feabdc0.html

A few paragraphs...

"...Mr Bloomberg. In May, he said: “If somebody was going to try, on that piece of property, to build a church or a synagogue, nobody would be yelling and screaming.” That is right. But history matters, too. The attacks of 2001 were not a political-science abstraction. They were an expression of Islam. Not all of Islam, certainly – and Islam is neither the only religion that has such crimes to answer for nor the only one that has provoked such controversies. The building of a Carmelite convent at Auschwitz in the 1980s so wounded Jewish sensibilities that Pope John Paul II ordered it removed in 1993, even though the Holocaust was not carried out in the name of any faith.

...

Islam – which is, like Christianity but unlike contemporary Judaism, an evangelising and expansionist religion – is a bigger challenge. A radical school of it views the US as its main enemy. Because that school is amply funded by Arabian oil, there is a standing fear that radicals will capture any large international project involving Islam, no matter how good its original intentions.

...

Remedying the weakness that Mr bin Laden diagnosed and exploited is seen by a lot of Americans as a matter of national survival. “Building bridges” to other cultures is a distraction from that task. It will be years before we know whether such sentiments are counselled by the voice of fear or the voice of reason, but they must be taken seriously. Mr Bloomberg is not taking them seriously. Faced with a delicate and intellectually complex situation, he has taken refuge in cant. He may have squandered an opportunity to resolve this controversy at a relatively low cost".

Douglas Murray also have a comment.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2010-08-12/ground-zero-mosque-controversy-and-american-muslims/full/

You should read the whole article, but I copy a few lines here too:

"The story is repeated around the globe, the story of Muslim denial, self-pity, and demands for extraordinary sensitivity from others even whilst trampling on every sensitivity of absolutely everyone else.

...

If the people who are building the ground zero mosque cared about improving Islam’s image, they would have taken their mosque elsewhere. If they cared about cultural sensitivities, reciprocity or freedom of religion, then they wouldn’t be trying to provoke people by building a mega-mosque at ground zero.

The very idea is stupid and offensive. Needlessly provocative, needlessly offensive or, at the very best, entirely needlessly thoughtless.

For Muslims, the answer to radical Islam may well be some nice official version of Islam that hasn’t yet been discovered. But for free and open societies, the answer to radical Islam is not Islam".

Mighty impressive line up. I can't wait.

It's very clear what the will of the people is. If they won't listen, We The People will vote them out. They won't have time to warm their seats. Have a great time you guys at the rally. Wish we could be there to join you. What your doing is making a difference.

I'll be there, and this time not only with just photo camera but with video as well.

As a Brooklynite who attends a Mosque a couple of blocks from the WTC site (and was working in Manhattan on that day 9 years ago if that matters...)I find this planned hatefest really depressing. I will defend to the death your right to express your opinions, but I will make it my life work to make you see the folly of your ways.

Although here in Canada we can only dream about such a mass resistance agains Islamofascism, we at least are trying to get the public to wake up. Please check out Toronto's latest conference on Islamic oppression:

http://www.blogwrath.com/?p=177

Many excellent quotes, articles and opinions cited above!! We can only learn more from such informative readings! And it's obvious that we can't know TOO MUCH about Islam - our most diabolique enemy facing us today and for the foreseeable future. THEY're in it for the long haul - so, too, then must we! Right now it appears that the Islamic Supremacists already have a beachhead in the USA (although most of the enclaves are not at all well known and certainly not open to the public!!). But we DEFINITELY need more extensive education on Islam's political cult-like way of life, as well as the religion.

I don't like that mosques, churches, whatever religion buildings are still being made with the money of tax payers but I can't help feel atonished by this! This blog is called Atlas Shrugs in obvious reference to Ayn Rand's book...on the other hand you are promoting this protest which is valid but if you look at the people who will speak some of them are people to fear. I will spak about the one I know the most, Geert Wilders, as he is from the country I live in. He is just a racist, he is making friends with Israel to get money into his political party, which is not democratical at all. In his party there are no internal elections, he is the king of it all, a populist and, if we give him the chance, a dictator. He is now being judge for instigating hate and racism in the country.
So I can't help to feel shame for this demonstration in the shape is taking...and I bet Ayn Rand wouldn't accept her name to be used on this. She wanted free men, not to be used for propaganda for totalitarians.

I say every Hot Dog vendor in New York City be invited to attend the 9/11 rally. Maybe some pig roast BBQ vendors and some Italian Sausage and Pepper vendors also. Let's all have a peaceful rally and completely desecrate their mosque site with the fumes and garbage of the thing they detest most...well, next to Americans.

Non-New Yorkers are NOT welcome at this rally. Please stay home and watch TV.

This is a movement of the ignorant. Most people that attend mosques are non-violent and certainly the Qur'an doesn't advocate violence against innocent people. Imagine a scenario where a Christian zealot bombs a market in an Arab county. Nine years later a group of Christian missionaries tries to build a mission church near the site and the local government will not allow it. It's stupid to turn away an act of goodwill and even dumber to judge an entire group based on the extreme acts of the group's most radical fringe. Even if you are worried about another attack from islam, wouldn't being right next to a mosque protect whatever we rebuild at ground zero from a subsequent attack?

islam not a religion..to build mosque is ground zero are very insulting the death victims of islam teror.
how can you say not entire group are extreme if the koran and the prophet live is so extreme.
not other religion prophet ever killed humand being.muhmad slay 600 hundred jews and proclaim that every people who do not believe in islam should die!!
47.4] So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means

do you still thing that islam is religion of allah?
you who do not know what muhammad did and you who never live is islamic country never realize that how bad the real islam is.
Muhammad was wild and intolerant: He slayed infidels and wits who doubted his revelations; He was a War-lord: Involved in 78 wars out of which 71 were assault!!; He was a mass-murderer: Beheaded 600 Jews in a single day; Prophet was a sexual deviant and used sex as marketing tool: claimed that Jihadists would be blesse......d with 72 virgins in paradise!! He was pedophile: Consummated and fondled with a 9 year old Aisha! He was a womanizer: Had 15 wives in total, 11 at a time, then went on to marry his daughter-n-law!! He was a rapist: Himself raped women slaves and ordered his followers to do the same; He was a liar and deceiver: Claimed himself as a greatest and final prophet, among line of prophets. My friends, would still consider him true messenger of god???

islam should not exist in the worl hi islam..you flee from muslim country to america!!you should not bring your stupid retarded believe to amreica.if you wanna live in america stay and live just like american do not distroy america with that stupid believe. or go back to your country,.

"I Believe in America" was written right after 9/11 by Chana Caylor from Hot Springs, Arkansas. This beautiful song is performed by Chana and her daughter and is newly released on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/user/NuDaesDream#p/a/u/0/rwgdXJTmZ50

How dare you show a person jumping from the wtc , that is outrageous that could of been my cousin and did you get permission to use that person likeness for your horrid propaganda.

The United States of America...Where was every ones concern when the 9/11 Commission (OMISSION) Report came out? WAKE UP!!! Please take off the emotional filters you see through. Do the research..the events of 9/11 are frightening...as is the knowledge you will discover when you DO THE RESEARCH...IN A NON-BIAS MANNER...We owe it to Humanities Evolution, to face the Truth...and look All evil in the eye. If you think the rebuilding of the mosque is a slap in the face...Good... hope it wakes you up!!!

above is no in reply to msw...my condolences.

You poor, hate-filled, deluded fools.

Oh, and I really love the way this is all happening on "Atlas Shrugs". You do realize that Ayn Rand would find your behavior disgusting, don't you, or are you that delusional?

You bigots are lower than whale shit! Non New Yorkers STAY away we don't need nor want you here.

Just what we need here on 9/11 an inbred hick convention! Why don't you "brave" idiots go and hold your rally in front of the Islamic Center uptown? I dare you! What a bunch of losers.
Good show the world how stupid and hateful you all rally are.

Why there such a stink over this? May I review the facts? Please feel free to contest any of them. :)
1. "A mosque is, in fact, planned there, but it's part of a plan for a much larger, $100 million cultural center that includes a swimming pool, gym and basketball court, a 500-seat auditorium, a restaurant and culinary school, a library and art studios. Organizers say the center would be open to all New Yorkers, regardless of faith, and would promote cultural diversity."
2. It's not on Ground Zero, it's two blocks away. Meanwhile, there's already a strip club closer to it, 2 catholic churches, and all kinds of things.
3. It's being built on private property, which means Rauf can build whatever he wants there.

Now, a lot of people think that muslims having a place to pray two blocks away from ground zero is disrespectful. I don't understand this at all. Should we stop catholics from building a church next to a playground? By the logic (that because a handful of members of a religion- whose members number about 1.6 billion- did something horrible, that they all did, or are guilty by association, or all just as evil by association) that these people have presented, christians shouldn't be allowed to build churches in Israel, after the Crusades. Are all Catholics torturers because of the Inquisition? Generalization is never fair, and to use it as an argument to try to prevent someone from practicing their fundamental rights is a disgrace to this country. This country was founded on the principle we can all believe what we like, and we may all practice our beliefs freely. These protesters believe they are fighting for true American ideals or morals or whatever it may be- but they could not be farther from the truth. Tolerance and acceptance is all we have as a nation, it's what founded us, it's what's held us together through countless wars, it's what made us probably the greatest country the world has yet seen, and if we abandon it, it will be our downfall.

And then people tell me about pilgrimages to some dank pesthole in a jungle where they go to do homage to a crumbling temple, to a leering stone monster with a pot belly, created by some leprous savage.
