Faisal Shazad and the Unseen Hand by Vijay Kumar
FAISAL SHAHZAD, THE FAILED TIMES SQUARE BOMBER, exemplifies the legacy of Islam in the world today. It wasn't Faisal Shahzad who planted a fizzled bomb in Times Square; it was the unseen hand of Islamic theology and hegemony, using Shazad as a willing zombie, devoid of conscience or responsibility for his murderous acts. “So you did not slay them, but it was Allah Who slew them, and you did not smite when you smote (the enemy), but it was Allah Who smote." So says the Quran. And the Quran cannot be questioned.
The first sentence of Shahzad’s recently published email explains the totality of his motivation: "If something from what I wrote doesn't correspond with Quran and Sunnah then I renounce it and I ask Allah's forgiveness due to my ignorance." That's what passes for rationality in Islam.
Shahzad is just one of many millions of Muslims who have submitted entirely to "the will of Allah." That is the first requirement of becoming a Muslim. The very word Muslim means “one who submits.” After that there is no need for conscience. There is no responsibility for one's actions, except that they "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah"—Islamic theology. There is no need for empirical observation. There is no room for rationalism. There is only slavish obedience to Islamic theology, and to any whim, however abominable, that can be interpreted as “the will of Allah.”
That's why Fizzled Faisal felt perfectly fine about planting a bomb in New York City and praying to Allah that it would murder or maim as many innocent men, women, and children as possible. It was, after all, the unseen hand of Allah guiding his thoughts and actions. Shahzad’s attempt, and the attendant prayers to succeed in killing and maiming innocent people, all "correspond with the Quran and Sunnah," as he put it.
To a rational mind, that not only is the epitome of ignorance, it's the act of a homicidal maniac. It's curious, though, that so many homicidal maniacs find a welcoming brotherhood in Islam—the ummah, or community of Muslims—and find in Islamic theology "divine" justification for all of their perverse and criminal and murderous impulses.
Almost any conduct that civilized people recognize to be degraded, depraved, criminal, or brutal can be found to "correspond with the Quran and Sunnah": murder, beheading, stoning, hanging, dismemberment, pedophelia, wife beating, slavery, betrayal, lying, stealing, persecution, terrorism, torture—all are recorded as models of righteous conduct in Islamic theology.
These very acts of barbarism are being played out every day in Islamic countries and enclaves around the world. Faisal the Failure is no "radical" Muslim; he is a model Muslim, doing just what the Islamic theology tells him he has every right to do—and not just the right, but the obligation.

In order to become a citizen of the United States, Faisal the False swore an oath "to support and defend the Constitution and all laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic."
He lied, and he knew he was lying, and he didn't care one bit. After all, Islamic theology tells him it's perfectly holy and righteous to lie to kaffirs—non-Muslims—if it serves the purposes of Islam. Such is the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya. Shahzad admitted his willful duplicity in his own email: "Why do you have to follow Democracy (Human made Laws) if you're already given Laws revealed from Allah, Quran and Sunnah."
Those "laws revealed from Allah, Quran and Sunnah" are called Sharia, and, obviously, if you're Muslim and have Sharia law, you don't have to follow human made laws at all. You can spit on the Constitution. Fertilizer Faisal did. And as does Faisal, so does Islam.
FAISAL SHAHZAD, the defendant, unlawfully, willfully and knowingly, did attempt to kill and maim persons within the United States, and did create a substantial risk of serious bodily injury to others by attempting to destroy and damage structures, conveyances and other real and personal property within the United States, in violation of the laws of the United States. —Federal Criminal Complaint 10- MAG-928, United States of America vs. Faisal Shahzad
It should come as no surprise that Shahzad acted "in violation of the laws of the United States." Our laws are meaningless to any real Muslim, like Shahzad, whose life and actions "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah." Of course there are many millions of dilettantes who pay lip service to being Muslims, and go through the superficial rituals, but are almost entirely ignorant of what those source documents of Islam actually say.
In fact, while many leading Islamic clerics insist that the Quran cannot be understood properly at all except in the original Arabic, the vast majority of Muslims the world over cannot read Arabic, and, indeed, a large percentage of those counted as “Muslims” in the world are illiterate even in their native tongues, relying on what they are told about Islam.
But Shahzad and suicide bombers and Universal Jihadists and Islamic terror organizations and Osama bin-Laden and their ilk are the real Muslims, devout Muslims, orthodox Muslims. Those are the true face of Literal Islam. Those are its true ambassadors. Those are the keepers of the faith exactly according to Islamic law.
Another real Muslim is Faisal's "inspiration" and mentor, Anwar al-Awlaki, the U.S.-born terrorist hiding out in Yemen, who said: "Fighting in the cause of Allah is an obligation." The endless fighting is a given—for any real Muslim (not a "peace be upon you" pretender) who knows and follows Islamic theology as it is written:
I was ordered to fight all men until they say “there is no god but Allah." —Muhammad's farewell address, 632
I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah." —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 4:52:196 Narrated Abu Huraira
He who fights so that Allah's Word (Islam) should be superior, then he fights in Allah's cause. —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 1:3:125 Narrated Abu Musa
I asked the Prophet [Muhammad], “What is the best deed?” He replied, “To believe in Allah and to fight for His Cause." —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 3:46:694 Narrated Abu Dhar
And fight them till there is no more affliction (i.e. no more worshiping of others along with Allah). —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 6:60:40 Narrated Nafi'
When you are called (by the Muslim ruler) for fighting, go forth immediately. —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 4:52:79:Narrated Ibn 'Abbas
Islamic holy man Anwar al-Awlki (who was arrested several times for soliciting prostitutes) also said, "Establishing Islamic Sharia [law] is an obligation." There's no question that establishing Sharia law is an obligation—if one wants to "correspond to the Quran and Sunnah," as Shahzad did.
And Islam's Sharia law doesn't just spit on the Constitution—it forbids its very existence. Sharia law forbids trial by jury. Sharia law forbids due process. Sharia law forbids our Congress. Sharia law forbids our President. Sharia law forbids our Supreme Court. Sharia law forbids freedom of the press. Sharia law forbids freedom of speech. Sharia law forbids freedom of religion.
Sharia law forbids the United States of America.
Faisal Shahzad was well versed in Sharia. He attended the College of Sharia at Minhaj International University in Lahore, Pakistan. A fellow Faisal—Faisal Abdul Rauf, founder of the Ground Zero Mosque in New York City—has said, "Our goal is to establish Sharia." Now there's a real Muslim getting right down to business—not one of those mealy-mouth "peace be upon you" dilettantes.
Another of Shahzad's heroes, according to the New York Times, was also one of those real Muslims: Syed Abul A'ala Maududi. Like Abdul Rauf, Maududi got straight to the point of Islamic teachings:
Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a State on the basis of its own ideology and program. — Syed Abul A'ala Maududi
It was helpful of Maududi to spell things out so clearly, but even a cursory knowledge of Islamic history demonstrates that Islam has been doing little else but destroying the states and governments and cultures it's come into contact with, and stealing the wealth of those cultures, ever since the first Muslims began raiding and plundering the Meccan caravans during the holy months of 623 A.D.
As the Assyrian scholar Peter BetBasoo noted in "Muslim Claims of Accomplishment":
Arabs/Muslims are engaged in an explicit campaign of destruction and expropriation of cultures and communities, identities and ideas. Wherever Arab/Muslim civilization encounters a non-Arab/Muslim one, it attempts to destroy it (as the Buddhist statues in Afghanistan were destroyed, as Persepolis was destroyed by the Ayotollah Khomeini).
This is a pattern that has been recurring since the advent of Islam, 1,400 years ago, and is amply substantiated by the historical record. If the 'foreign' culture cannot be destroyed, then it is expropriated, and revisionist historians claim that it is and was Arab.
The term "Arabic numerals" is a perfect example. They never were Arabic at all; they were the numerals of a Hindu number system developed before Muhammad was even born. The invading Muslims just took credit for them.
The Chaldeans and Babylonians had developed a wealth of astronomy and other sciences when they were overrun by Islam and wiped off the face of the earth. The Muslims then took credit for their discoveries.
Pakistan, where Shameless Shahzad was raised—and was trained both in Sharia and in bomb-making—is a land invaded and stolen by Islam from the Hindus and Buddhists who had governed in peace for 5,000 years.
Peshawar, in Pakistan, used to be called Pushpapuri—"The City of Flowers"—in the pre-Islamic East, and was a major center of Buddhist learning. Now, under Islamic rule, it is a degraded hotbed of Universal Jihad and terrorism.
The great Sanskrit grammarian Panini, from the same area, introduced the arts and science of linguistics to the world. Now, under Islam, descendants of Panini are illiterate, ignorant terrorists, producing and selling heroin (but only peddling it to non-Muslims). These are the chief exports of Islam everywhere it goes: terrorism, violence, aggression, ignorance, illiteracy, and heroin.
The Hindu civilization that once thrived west of the Sindhu River—from which the name “Hindu” was derived, now called the Indus River—was invaded in 710 A.D. by another of Faisal Shahzad’s real Muslim heroes, a 17 year old thug named Mohammad bin Qasim (who Shahzad calls “Qasam”), sometimes known as “the first Pakistani.” In Shahzad’s 2006 e-mail, he heaps praise on Qusim for having been a glorious altruistic hero, overrunning and slaughtering and subjugating peaceful Buddhists and Hindus while supposedly on a mercy mission to rescue “a Muslim women [sic] who was raped.”
Shahzad’s ignorance of the historical facts is typical of Islamic propaganda that passes for “education.” Shahzad has not a word of sympathy for the estimated 25,000 innocent people slaughtered by Qasim. Shahzad never mentions that the real result of Qasim’s aggression was control of a critical part of the Silk Road trade route for Islam. Shahzad seems to condone Qasim having kidnapped the daughters of the local leader for “booty,” and having sent them back to Saudi Arabia as “presents,” to be sex slaves in the harem of the Islamic Caliph, Khalifa Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik.
After all, it was not Qusim who slaughtered tens of thousands of innocents: it was the unseen hand of Allah. It was not Qusim who trafficked in kidnapped sex slaves: it was the unseen hand of Islamic theology and hegemony. It was not Qusim who reduced a rich and proud civilization to slavery and terror and submission: it was Islam itself. Qusim’s reward was execution at the order of the Caliph and eternal anonymity in an unmarked and unknown grave.
The sad irony is that for all the aggression and invasion and slaughter, and for all the subsequent stealing and plagiarism of arts, sciences, and humanities that Islam has carried out through the centuries, it really cares nothing for them, and casts them aside in favor of mysticism, superstition, and ignorance—just as Faisal Shahzad cast aside his privileged background, his bachelor's degree in computer applications and information systems, his master's degree in business, his American citizenship, his home, his cars, his wife, and his children to carry out the commands of the voices in his head: "the will of Allah."
Now that's a real Muslim.
Another one of those realest of real Muslims, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, said in 1979: "We will export our revolution throughout the world....until the calls 'there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah' are echoed all over the world."
And so it is that just as Faisal the Fool tried to destroy Times Square, Islam has been trying to destroy the civilized world, and has succeeded in destroying entire civilizations in Egypt, Turkey, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, and north Africa—persecuting and driving out all other religions in the process. It once attempted the same in Europe, driven back only by the Crusades. Now it is engaged in a new assault on Europe, this time spearheaded by mass immigration in place of catapults and scimitars.
This pattern of conquer and steal, conquer and steal, conquer and steal for Islam was set by the earliest Muslims, who mercilessly robbed caravans and the tribes of Arabia on the grounds of “divine” rights they were told had been handed down:
The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me yet it was not lawful for anyone else before me. —Hadith: Sahih Bukhari 1:7:331 Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah
Booty. That's all it is to Islam. But why not steal from the infidels? They are inferiors—according to Islam.
Even the archangel Gabriel was expropriated from the Jews and the Christians for Islam. For that matter, the very god of Islam was taken from the Jews and Christians, just given a different name: Allah instead of Yahweh. Perhaps that's why Muslims are ordered emphatically, "do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends." Take them for slaves, take them for killing, take them for jizya (Islamic tax of oppression on non-Muslims), take them for booty, take them for everything they've got; just don't take them for friends.
That's why there never is—and never will be—a lasting peace agreement in the Middle East. There's no other reason. Yet every new American presidential administration fumbles around trying to forge "peace" in the Middle East, even when they know full well that there are Muslims on one side of the table who are ordered—ordered—by the Quran never to be friends with Jews or Christians. Perhaps the people in the State Department think the Quran is just some kind of joke, and won't come out and say so. But the Muslims on the other side of the table don't think it's a joke. Not one little bit. They are real Muslims.
Israel is not the problem in the Middle East. The only problem in the Middle East is eternal aggression and imperialism of Literal Islam, exactly as it "corresponds with the Quran and Sunnah," driven relentlessly by the unseen hand of Islamic theology and hegemony, just as Shahzad was driven to soulless, wonton attempted mass murder.
The only problem in the Middle East is Islamic Universal Jihad.
There is only one aggression in the world today: Universal Jihad. Over 90% of the conflicts taking place right now around the world are directly the result of Islamic aggression.
The web site Islam: The Religion of Peace offers some statistics to put Universal Jihad in perspective:
More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined.
More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland.
Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years.
According to the book "Growth of the Muslim Population in Medieval India," an estimated 80 million Hindus were killed by invading Muslims between 1000 A.D. and 1500 A.D.
The web site Political Islam has compiled the best estimates it could find of deaths from Islamic jihad. It includes 120 million Africans, 60 million Christians, 10 million Buddhists, and approximately 270 million Jews.
This is the legacy of the unseen hand. This is the legacy of Islam. This is the legacy of Universal Jihad. This is what causes human beings to dance and laugh and celebrate in the streets when they’ve just watched over 1300 fellow human beings die unspeakable, painful, horrible, terrifying deaths in the World Trade Center.
The world has suffered 1400 years of it. It is a fine madness that smothers the human will, crushes human freedoms, annihilates human rights, hides behind a veil of religion, and justifies every atrocity ever recorded in the annals of man—with no more authority than the black dog that “Son of Sam” killer David Berkowitz claimed had told him to go around shooting innocent people in the head.
There was no supernatural black dog. It was just another “unseen hand.”
