Don't you love the MSM? After having egg on its face for predicting that the bomber was probably a patriot/tea partier, it is now extolling the jihadi Faisal Shahzad's statement that the car bomb was revenge for drone attacks on Taliban in Pakistan. It's only a matter of time before they agree with him -- that the US defending itself against Islam's war on the West is a bad thing, with more self flagellation about "creating Muslim supremacists and jihadis." This involves a complete dismissal of " over a millennium of jihad wars, land expropriations, enslavements, and humiliations of the conquered non-Muslim populations on three continents". (Bat Yeor quote)
Yes, that's the liberal, American-hating meme. Obama has said the same thing. Read Jihadi Echoes Obama.
As for the phantom "moderates," where are the billions of Muslims decrying these acts? Why, in America, is the knee jerk Muslim reaction against profiling and non-existent backlash? Why not call for increased protection and profiling to weed out these jihadis? Why aren't Muslims on the forefront of demanding greater national security? Where are the protests, the rallies against jihad? Why isn't there a call in the Ummah (the worldwide muslim community) to expunge the koran and hadiths of these prescribed violent texts?

The ranking Republican on the House intelligence committee told CNN today that there "is a strong link" between Shahzad and the Taliban in Pakistan.
Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.) told "American Morning" that he has drawn that conclusion from a number of sources.
"We're going to get much more aggressive and perhaps more creative in terms of how we gather intelligence to find the plots and find individuals to stop them," he said.
