They were singing khaibar yahud before the raid
Translation, from PMW, May 31, 2010:
Flotilla participants chanted Islamic battle cry invoking killing of Jews
Reporter: "Despite the Israeli threats and several unexpected delays, the arrival of the ships at the meeting point before sailing to the Gaza Strip inflamed the emotions and the enthusiasm of the participants."
Visuals from Gaza flotilla ship of young Muslims shouting Islamic battle chant invoking the killing and defeat of Jews in battle:
"[Remember] Khaibar, Khaibar, oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!"
[Khaibar is the name of last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad’s army and it marked the end of Jewish presence in Arabia in 628.]
Reporter: "While singing songs reminiscent of the Palestinian Intifada (Palestinian terror war against Israel, 2000 - 2005), participants expressed their longing to reach Gaza."
A participant: "Right now we face one of two happy endings: either Martyrdom or reaching Gaza." [Based on Islamic call before battle: "Either victory or Martyrdom".]
Get ready for a tsunami of Jew-hating propaganda from the jihad-loving media. This marks the first time EU lawmakers were involved in an open attack on Israel...19 EUROPEAN LEGISLATORS WERE ALONG FOR THE RIDE IN PLANNED TERRORIST ATTACK AGAINST THE ISRAELI NAVY.
J Post reporting on the well-planned lynching:
“It was like a well-planned lynch,” one IDF officer said. “These people were anything but peace activists"
According to IDF reports, at least 10 acitivists were killed during the ensuing clashes as well as six Navy commandos, some of them from gunfire and at least one in serious condition with a head wound. Foreign reports claimed that the number of dead was close to 15. Some of the wounded were evacuated to Israeli hospital by Air Force helicopters.
Upon boarding the ships, the soldiers encountered fierce resistance from the passangers who were armed with knives, bats and metal pipes. The soldiers used non-lethal measures to disperse the crowd. The activists succeeded in stealing the weapon from one of the IDF’s soldiers and reportedly opened fire, leading to an escalation in violence.
Hamas Flotilla member stabbed IDF soldier in stomach.
Militants Aboard Flotilla Open Fire on IDF Soldiers INN
The IDF reports that the crew of the Gaza-bound flotilla lay in wait for the IDF to board their vessel and then attacked IDF soldiers. One crew member reportedly snatched a gun from an IDF soldier and then opened fire on the troops. One soldier was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object. The soldier is in moderate condition and was transferred for medical treatment by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Doctors there determined he would require surgery. Two other soldiers were also wounded and were transferred to Tel Hashomer hospital.
Late Sunday night, the Israeli Navy surprised the six-boat flotilla bound for Hamas-controlled Gaza in international waters and hundreds of IDF soldiers who came by air and sea boarded the ships and announced to all passengers that they are under arrest.
One of the crew said that one “Navy warship” had contacted the six boats in the flotilla and asked them to identify themselves. They were told the Navy would board the boats if the ships's crew and passengers do not agree to head for the Ashdod port instead of the Gaza Coast, where Israel maintains sovereignty under the Oslo Accords and does not allow ships to approach without searching them for arms.
International law allows for countries to ask suspicious boats to identify themselves. The vessels' passengers did not cooperate and called the move "scare tactics" on their streamed broadcasts.
The IDF searched the boats for arms immediately after the takeover. The soldiers were forced to use tear gas after they were attacked with knives, daggers and cudgels, putting their lives in danger. Unofficial reports that ten persons have been killed and another ten wounded were admitted to Rambam Hospital in Haifa were changed by the Arab television station Al Jazeera, to two killed and four wounded. An Al Jazeera reporter on one of the boats reported hearing gunshots.
The IDF has not issued a complete report on casualties or wounded in the operation. However, hospitals were put on alert to accept possible wounded.
The IDF released a terse statement shortly after midnight Sunday, stating, "Israeli Navy soldiers left this evening in order to stop the flotilla's provocative trip to Gaza. During the last few days, the soldiers have been conducting drills to ensure the mission's success."
Turkey's government called an emergency meeting to discuss the IDF action. Defense Minister Barak is holding ongoing meetings with his advisors.
The flotilla activists, some of whom are identified with terrorist Muslim groups, did not expect a confrontation with the Navy until Monday morning, when the flotilla expected to near the Gaza coast.
The flotilla sailed on Sunday, more than two days later than planned and without two of the ships that did not join because of malfunctions but which were expected to set sail after repairs.
“We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation of threats of violence against us,” said activist Huwaida Araf from the ships. “They are going to have to forcefully stop us.”
YNET has this:
Israeli Navy attacks six vessels carrying pro-Palestinian activists and aid to blockaded Strips. According to unofficial reports, at least two people killed, dozens injured. Four IDF soldiers hurt, one sustaining severe wounds. Some p of injured evacuated on boats, helicopters; Israeli hospitals prepared (here)
Israel should sink those ships. On the nazi-like propaganda, Glick wrote:
Courtesy of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Thursday Israel will again be the target of a jihadist-leftist propaganda assault. A flotilla of nine ships which set sail for Gaza from Cyprus earlier this week is scheduled to arrive at our doorstep.
The expressed aim of the flotilla's organizers is to unlawfully provide aid and comfort to Hamas - an illegal terrorist organization. Since it seized power in Gaza three years ago, Hamas, which is openly committed to the genocide of world Jewry and the physical eradication of Israel, has transformed the Gaza Strip into a hub of the global jihad. It has been illegally holding hostage Gilad Schalit incommunicado for four years. And it is continuously engaged in a massive, Iranian-financed arms buildup ahead of its next assault.
Beyond providing aid to Hamas, the declared aim of the "Free Gaza" movement is to coerce Israel into providing Hamas with an outlet to the sea. This too is in contravention of international law which expressly prohibits states and non-state actors from providing any support to terrorist organizations.
IN SENDING out the latest group of ships, Turkey and its Irish, Greek and Swedish partners seek to appropriate the imagery of the Jewish pre-statehood struggle for independence from Britain. In a bid to appease Hamas's jihadist precursors, in 1939 Britain's Mandatory authorities broke international law and prohibited Jewish immigration to Mandatory Palestine.[...]
Now the Turkish, Greek, Swedish and Irish governments are colluding with Hamas to purloin the imagery of the Exodus and the heroism of the Jewish people in the years leading up to statehood and project that imagery onto a terrorist organization that seeks to complete Hitler's work. They further seek to invert reality by portraying Israel, which in accordance with international law is trying to contain and defeat Hamas, as a combination of the German Nazis and the British imperialists.[...]
ON THURSDAY Hamas's maritime enablers from Europe, Turkey and beyond will arrive at our doorstep. The navy will block their entry to Gaza. Israel will be demonized by terror-abettors disguised as human rights activists and journalists worldwide. And the story will pave the way for the next assault on Israel's right to exist.
This endless circle of demonization and aggression will continue to widen and escalate until our political leaders and our intellectual elite reclaim our language from those on the terror-abetting Left. True, our reclamation of our language will not go unopposed. But if we do not reassert our right to describe objective reality, our inability to explain why we are right and our detractors serve evil will be our undoing.
UPDATE: Excellent commentary in the Atlas comment section by Paul Austin Murphy:
There’ll be a few salient facts left out of many accounts of the Aid Hamas flotilla incident, especially if your source is the BBC or the Guardian. After all, an evil state, and an evil people, the Jews… the Israelis, can’t do anything but evil.
We can guarantee that this will be a major news item today and even over the next week. The Western media usually chronicles every broken finger and upset stomach which the Israelis cause the long-suffering and deeply pacifist Palestinians. Every inch of the situation well be cried over by naive left-liberals and utilised by far leftists in their obsessive anti-Israel campaign.
So as soon as the media hungrily get hold of a single Muslim on the ship being lightly spanked by an Israeli soldier, many will instantly conclude that this is yet another Evil Zionist mission to exterminate every Muslim on the planet. I bet leftists are going crazy with their FaceBooks at this very moment. Bless them.
It is almost as if the Turki Foundation wanted this to happen so they could milk it dry in the Western media and elsewhere. Indeed this ‘Israeli crime’ was probably forecasted weeks ago. So it is no surprise that many Muslims have already showed their predictable anger and starting demonstrating. In fact, they started to do so about five minutes after the event occurred. It was almost as if they already knew what was going to happen. Um.
And surprise, surprise! The Turkish government called for an emergency meeting at least two minutes after the Israelis boarded the ships. The increasingly Islamist Government is slowly falling in the Muslim line of compulsory anti-Zionism. Chomsky will have finished his book about this ‘outrage’ and ‘gross act of pure evil’ by Friday. Symposiums in American universities will begin early next week.
Who was behind the reprimanded flotilla? Some nice Muslims? Our very own George ‘look no panties’ Galloway and his Viva Palestina? No. It was the Turki Foundation (IHH). Want to know something about it? (The BBC won’t tell you.) It is a radical Islamic organisation which is a major component in Hamas’s worldwide funding machine. And like all other radical Islamic organisations, it hates infidels and sometimes even hates the wrong kind of fellow Muslim. More precisely, it likes those who kill Jews (Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.) and it also likes to spread the anti-Semitic psychosis around the Muslim and leftist world.
Of course the shipment was only full of flower petals, Superman magazines and white doves. Oh yes. It was also highly likely to have contained explosives, Kal Iranian-made, long-rage Fajr-5 missiles. But only to be used self-defensively by destroying Israeli kindergartens and pizza houses. How do we know this? Because a hell of a lot of similar shipments have contained weapons and explosives heading for Hamas and other nice and peaceful Islamist groups.
It’s certain that the Turki Foundation, and the other Islamists aboard, were planning on violence. Indeed they wanted violence. They had already said that they ‘fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation of threats of violence against us’. They are only doing their Islamic duty against the Jews! Also, the Israelis, when aboard, were immediately attacked with knives, daggers and cudgels. Instead of killing the Islamists outright, the Israelis chose to use tear gas against the enemy. Al Jazeera also reported that gun shots were heard on the boats.
We can be deeply cynical, but nevertheless accurate, and say that these ‘aid convoys’, whether run by Islamist militants like the Turki Foundation or, well, by IslamoTrot militants like Viva Palestina, are not really about supplying the death camps of starving Palestinians with food and other much-needed supplies (such as long-range rockets which can go deep into Israel). They are primarily, or even exclusively, about propaganda and publicity. And my God! How they are successful at this!
The reason for my Zionist cynicism and evil is this. It is possible that the Gaza Strip is not actually suffering a real ‘humanitarian crisis’ at all since the Palestinians are already being supplied by the Evil Zionist Empire that is Israel. Indeed any journalists who care to see will realise that hundreds of Israeli trucks daily supply the Gazans with food and other needies - but not, sadly, offensive weapons. That’s where the Turki Foundation may well come in.
I don’t suppose it matters to leftists and anti-Zionists that international law allows states like Israel to ask suspicious boats to identify themselves. They are only interested in the times when Israel supposedly goes against international law, which seems to be every day, according to these Israel Watchers.
UPDATE: AP is reading like Al Jazeera. Dan Friedman, "Making the case" for Jews or Israel is a fool's errand that regardless of the merits has never held back any of the tsunamis of Jew-hatred we have experienced in the last 2000 years. Across the globe torches are lit, nooses have been tied and the mobs have already formed. Except for our capacity to physically repel them, this current frenzy is no different. Trying to win them over, or waiting for their permission, is for Israel worse than futile, it's suicidal."

Can you hear it? Tick. Tick. Tick. Closer to the time bomb of war. So sad, Israel.

I don't want to see anyone get hurt (no, not even Israel's enemies: I want to see them REPENT!), but Israel *has to* defend itself.
There is an old adage about the wisdom in not bringing a knife to a gun fight.
Seems apropos here.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of life.
Israel had better 'spin up the nukes' now, though. They might be needing them in the next week or so.

Muslim jihadis - according to one report in the Jerusalem Post, the people on board the ship had earlier on been recorded chanting the Arab Muslim antisemitic war chant, "Khaybar Khaybar ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad saya'ud", which means 'Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Mohammed is returning" - and their Useful Idiot janissaries. I wonder who, precisely, grabbed the soldier's weapon and let fly with it? And I wonder how many of *his/ her own jihadist and janissary companions* were killed thereby? And I wonder whether that was the intention all along - to cause confusion, then seize a weapon and try to make it look as though the *Israelis* had fired upon the Poor Peaceful 'Peace' Activists?
I hope to God that somebody, or more than one somebody, among the IDF personnel, was video recording the whole thing. I think it might be very instructive to compare raw IDF film footage with whatever brew is put out by the 'peace (sic) activists'.

Likewise< i hope they've been recording it, and any ships supplying weapons and explosives (because that is what aid is), should be sunk by gunfire, harpoon missiles or torpedoed, if they refuse to turn back after being warned.

It's amazing more of terrorists aren't dead. The IDF certainly held back from what I've seen in the video with the terrorists attacking them from all sides. I would've let loose on everyone there if I had been put in the same situation. That's military training I guess.
Posted by: Karl | Monday, May 31, 2010 at 05:31 AM
I am hearing lots of military jets. I can only hope the IDF decided that "non-lethal" means don't work and are blowing them out of the water as I post.
Jay Delgado, you mean well but doesn't your "Saint" Paul say there is no salvation for murderers? Yes, he does. I forget which epistle. Judaism teaches we are NOT to pray for those who do evil to us. He apparently understood that and didn't consider it contrary to his messiah's teachings.
Posted by: mk750 | Monday, May 31, 2010 at 05:47 AM
They were warned , but persisted, their motives are very clear. It was not a group of "peace" activists it was more likely a group of "provocateurs" aided by some very ignorant "arabstinian" sympathizers.
Stand tall Israel, DO NOT back down. No matter what you do you will be reviled , so do whatever is necessary for YOUR people.
May you succeed and prosper!

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a certified madman. Before he took over, relations between Israel and Turkey were very cordial, Israeli tourists and businessmen were bringing tons of money to Turkey. Within a few years, he's trying to start a regional war. Hope the Turkish military finally does the overdue coup-de-etat.

Perhaps it is time for the semiliterate barbarian who wrote that trash to be deported. What purpose do Muslims serve in the West? They're uneducated malcontents who indulge in crime, make life miserable for the native population and side with all manner of terrorists who seek our destruction, not to mention being a financial drain on hard-pressed Western taxpayers.

Hey Will, maybe you should also blame Winston Churchill for doing the same thing Israel does today: taking retaliatory actions in the face of aggression. Who knows, maybe if Sir Winston wouldn't have become PM your dream of no Israel would have become true. And you would be called Wilhelm and would have spoken Deutsch today. Sieg Heil to you!
For the record, I'm also from Europe. And atheist, not Jew.
I'm sure there have been some over-the-top reactions from Israelis over the years. If my family would be constantly terrorized by some savages with rockets I would also show very little concern for constraint. You can't predict how anyone will react under such kind of stress. But on the whole, you will never see any Israeli children shows advocating genocide and martyrdom.

Israel is fully justified in launching an attack, based on international law (see para 67 in particular):

Once again the Muslim lapdogs come out for their masters and condem the Israeli's for defending them selves. Time after time these Jew haters blame Isreal when they are ATTACKED. They blame Islrael when the goat herders kill Jews. They blame Israel for the devestation brought on by hate filled terrorists.
For there to be peace in the middle east. Islam must reduced to it's proper place. Being put on an international list of human rights violators, listed as a cult not a religion, and removed from all United Nations councils and Government.

The problem with Israel is that over the decades, they have shown TOO MUCH restraint. You cannot fight barbarism with civility.Decades ago they should have told the so-called palestinians that for every one Israeli injured or murdered by them, Israel will take out thousands of them. No door-to-door searching for terrorists, no BS negotiations, no nothing!!! Short and simple. As for the UN and the world of public opinion, screw them all! As with any ghetto mentality, one must stand strong and any sign of civility is seen as weakness. After giving one verbal warning for the ships not to head toward gaza, Israel should have blown them to smithereens. End of story.

Posted by: marc in calgary | Monday, May 31, 2010 at 09:36 AM
Mimi's right. Not only has Israel shown too much restraint towards the barbarians who seek its destruction, the West has also been guilty of restraint, a malaise forced upon us by self-loathing liberal idiots throughout the last 45 or 50 years. In many ways, we yearn for the days of the 19th and early 20th centuries, when the West stood proud, and wouldn't have put up with Muslims waging war against it, nor would we have fought a politically correct war with suicidal rules of engagement against them. The sort of nations and inhuman effluent who have plagued Israel for over 62 years would have been put firmly in their places without a shred of regret, and anyone who sided with our enemies would have been left to rot in a prison cell, that is if they weren't hanged first. In the bizzaro world that is the 21st century West, the likes of Lord Haw Haw, Mata Hari etc would have been defended as 'exercising their rights to free speech', rather than being seen as the traitors they were. But restraint has been forced upon the Israelis by a feeble and cowardly West, which is now far more afraid of Jihadis today than at any time since 1683, despite being on paper infinitely more powerful than any of our enemies. But then again, being more powerful than our enemies means nothing if we're too spineless to use our power and crush them utterly.

Blocading gaza and showing disproportionate force at every oppertunity, israel is not helping anyone, this generation of palestinian children is going to be a lot more millitant and extreme than their fathers, if in 10 years time tel aviv is lit up with the sound of suicide bombing you will only have your self to blame,
And nykos you cannot compare this situation to wwII, what did israel think theese people were going to do? take down israel with clubs and iron bars.... i think not!

There's a whole lot more to that story...Will would be proud...

Whether or not the "flotilla" was carrying arms or supplies for Hamas is moot. The "flotilla" was hailed by a recognized military force and ordered to follow to a safe harbor or be boarded. The "flotilla" refused to answer and Israel, rightly, boarded them. The IDF were met with violent resistance, no matter how it "escalated" those in the "flotilla" at that point showed that they were NOT a "peaceful" organization and placed themselves in the position as pirates. Israel should hold them as pirates, build their case against them (while holding onto them indefinately), put them on trial, and hang them as any pirate should be (And no being all nice to them as the US is to the Somali pirate). It sickens me how those who continue to ignore laws and act violently to others are coddled, while those who try to uphold laws and fight the lawless, the hateful, and violent are viewed as "the bad guys".

Thick Will, giving the Gazans nothing is the surest way to stop terrorism. Giving them nothing denies them the means. And had nothing been given to them for the last 30 years, there wouldn't have been any Palestinian monsters plaguing Israel, because they would have had to spend their time working and ploughing the fields to survive, like the rest of us have to (in your case you're a typically workshy Mohammedan troll who leeches off the rest of us, just like the Islamonazi monsters you support). To be honest, I am sick of aid being given to them. You are nothing more than a sub-bacterial I.Q. Jew-hating troll who should spend the rest of its life locked away in a padded cell.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth News:
"Navy commandoes slid down to the vessel one by one, yet then the unexpected occurred: The passengers that awaited them on the deck pulled out bats, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles, assaulting each soldier as he disembarked.
At one point, the attackers nabbed one commando, wrested away his handgun, and threw him down from the top deck to the lower deck, 30 feet below.
"Meanwhile, the rioters started to fire back at the commandoes. ... “I saw the tip of a rifle sticking out of the stairwell,” one commando said. “He fired at us and we fired back. We didn’t see if we hit him. We looked for him later but couldn’t find him.” "
There you have it: "Peace" activists engaged in "non-violent resistance" for the sake of the "Palestinian nation" fighting "for independence from Israel".
Or, if you prefer the de-Orwellized version:
Pro-Islamic-terrorism activists engaged in violent provocation for the sake of the Arab imperialists fighting against the independence of Israel.
That is the truth. The whole truth. And nothing but the truth: That the Phakestinian struggle is nothing but the struggle of the Arab imperialists (better known as Muslims) against the existence of one, single Jewish state in the whole world.
Jews, wake up! Break the chains of international "law"! Break the manacles of progressive "morality"! Be Jewish! Follow HaShem's way, follow the morality of the Torah, even if you still don't believe in the religion!
Take up the Neozionist Manifesto! (English translation two posts down.)

Calling for a 1000 to 1 kill ratio exceeds anything that even the SS managed during WW2. All of you geniuses who support this action, will you now support the right of any navy amywhere in the world to board, with lethal force, any ship of any other nation for any reason? Or is your approval limited to Israel only? If so why? typical leftist-jihad tactics: appear to be 'humanitarian' when in fact aiding and abetting an enemey sworn to destroy israel. then when israel defends itself, accuse them of attacking. we saw this in 'cast lead' and we see it here...same pattern.
the 'activists', if they were truly humanitarian, would have simply followed the directive of israel and sailed to the israeli port, delivered their cargo and that's it. but no, they intended to create an incident. the problem is that the 'activists' are sponsored by a state: turkey; and now, turkey, that 'moderate islamic state' is saber rattling against israel. israel must be more forthright it stating the truth: the land of israel for the people of israel, including yesha (yehuda, shomron,'azza). it is only through strength and torah that we can keep our land.

What a pity we didn't achieve a 1,000 to 1 kill ratio on the Wehrmacht or the Japanese - we would have achieved victory within months of Pearl Harbor, and the British and their French allies wouldn't have had to endure a Dunkirk or seen Paris fall to the Third Reich in June 1940 with four years of occupation to come. This raid was stupid beyond belief. What the hell were Israeli authorities thinking?
It's a
(a) violation of international law
(b) violation of naval law
(c) violation of criminal law
(d) violation of property rights
and very well could be construed as state-sponsored terrorism! You simply DO NOT ATTACK a vessel in international waters with full battleships and commandos when the damn vessel has not violated any laws even if it allegedly intends to do so.
Given the facts on surface, if every commando had been killed coming down, the damn ship-based folk would have actually been in the right because of the rights of self-defense and doctrine of necessity.
This is a disaster for Israel, which will suffer much more than if they had passively blocked the ships when they got to Gaza. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
And if y'all can't see that our beloved Israel was in the wrong this time, you need to take a good look in the mirror and do some soul-searching.

Looks like there are a lot of Jew-haters who have Atlas Shrugs bookmarked under their favorites. Ain't that some shit?
So here is a free bit of information they can roll around in their heads so the marbles won't be lonely:
Israel is the ONLY NATION that regularly WARNS ITS ENEMIES BEFORE AN ATTACK.
And NO, that "convert to islam or we will kill you" kind of shit doesn't count.
Shouldn't you be out painting swastikas on Jewish graves or something? Why the hell are you here agitating Atlas readers? Wouldn't you like a warning before you are attacked?
"peaceful flotilla" my arse. Boatload of Vipers they were.

See description of savage attack on Israeli helicopter. Hamas supporters planned an armed assault, which included Murder of captured Israeli heros. As you can see, they almost succeeded. Israel should release video of the raid. Gaza dhimmis are fanatics who are unsatisfied with the results of World War 2.

I don't care what anyone says, Israel had warned these ships to stay away. They were aiding and abetting a sworn enemy of Israel. Israel had the right to board them, and when they did, they were attacked. Israel did the right thing.

Did the UN Security Council have an 'emergency debate' on the murder of over 80 'heretics' and 'apostates' by Sunni Muslims in Pakistan last week? No!
Why does the Security Council feel the need to debate Israel's actions at least once before each breakfast? Has it got anything to do with the 150 and more Islamic and Muslim states in the UN and the Islamic organiations which are part of the UN?Has it got anything to do with 1,500 years of Western anti-Semitism and its new incarnation - anti-Zionism?

This is the "Marmara" which Turkish supporters of Hamas armed for use against Israeli defenders. Al-Jazeera - on Live Station - has video of Naval forces hitting the lower deck, by rope. Most of the violence was on the upper deck, where the helicopter was attacked.

"The humanitarian aid flotilla was nothing more than a Turkish attempt led by PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan to gain patronage over the Muslim Brotherhood and continue extending his Islamic influence throughout the Middle East. Israel made it clear several times over that all humanitarian aid to Gaza can be shipped through Ashdod and into Gaza under the watchful eyes of the supposed "humanitarian" activists. The reason for the blockade of Gaza is to halt arms, ammunition and other supplies which can be used for military purposes by Hamas against Israel. Instead Erdogan wanted a confrontation to prove his support for the international Muslim Brotherhood."

The media have been grossly negligent in their reportage of Turkey's IHH, which has both Muslim Brotherhood and Iranian backing. Ahmadinejad wants a Hamas alliance with his Hizbollah puppets.
See IHH work for Hamas; their violent nature can be seen in the last couple of minutes. Some of these terrorists probably ambushed Israeli forces.

Who cares about international law? International law is something that only the West and Israel abides by, and the enemies of the West and Israel laugh at. International law doesn't make Israel safe and nor does international law prevent atrocities being carried out by Muslims against infidels. International law did not save the lives of 3,000 New Yorkers, nor does it save the lives of Israelis. Our enemies live by the law of the jungle - its time we did the same if we and our culture wants to survive the remainder of this century.

This doesn't necessarily mean an escalation into conventional war, because conventional war means war on Israel's terms. The Muslim states lose those wars because air supremacy trumps all. I remember how everyone was wringing their hands about how the Hezbollah war of 2006 was going to escalate. Why? If the war escalates, it becomes a conventional war and Israel wins. If it continues on the same track, Israel gets frustrated because they care about killing civilians even as the international media insanely portrays them as barbarians.
The deep meaning of the word "jihad" is "ultimate effort" which of course is a euphemism for war. It demands endless, relentless efforts to extend the dar as salaam thru taqiyyeh, probing for weakness, endless harassment, endless raiding. As long as this is happening, the duty of jihad is satisfied.
So what I am saying is that these sort of events will go on without end, but they are not necessarily a run up to an all out calamitous war. Muslims operate best as raiders, not conventional soldiers

All this criticism from left about what Israel did, but what would they rather have seen happen? Should Israel have lifted the embargo so arms shipments could reach Hamas and be used on Israeli civilians? Should the assualted IDF soldiers have just stood there and allowed themselves to be stabbed, beaten and lynched to death? People aren't using their heads.

The Left seek the destruction of Israel and the extermination of its Jewish population. They are a bunch of feeble-minded blockheaded communists and terrorist enablers who have taken up the baton dropped by Hitler, Eichmann, and Mohammed 14 centuries earlier. The Left sides with evil - they helped the mad ayatollahs gain power in Iran, supported Mugabe and his wicked regime in Zimbabwe, and have been in love with, and sought common cause with the world's cruellest despots like Ayatollah Khomeini, Stalin, Mao tse-tung, Pol Pot and many others over the last 100 years, so it is hardly a surprise that they support Israel's enemies.

Is this an end-timer site? The rabidness and hatred is truly frightening. Humanitarians are Jew-haters?! What even the holocaust survivor on the flotilla who certainly knows a damn site more about fighting evil and tyranny than the idiots on this board. After happening on this site, and reading the hate-filled posts, where human life is treated with such contempt I feel truly sickened. Yuck.

The irony is that Atlas Shrugged is about the best of humanity, rising above the constraints of a mundane, stifling society. This blog seems to be humanity's excrement, with the intellectual rigour of a gnat's arse. Unlike Atlas Shrugged, there is no aspiration for the truth, however hard it may be to determine. This is crass propaganda that even lesser mortals should feel uncomfortable reading. But apparently not! Terribly sad that there are such damaged human specimens that they would rejoice in the deaths of Europeans, just because they don't agree with their politics.

It is truly very disconcerning that there has been such needless suffering on both sides of this situation. The truth should come out about the identities of the 600 plus passengers on the ships as well as a complete itemization of the cargo that the vessels were carrying. If Isreal is pushed to open the Gaza port to traffic by the UN Security Council, let them show some bond of surety that when any violence is perpetrated on its sovereign nation as a result of any shipment of supplies, the UN Security Council and its representative countries should be held accountable for their decision. The Palestinian people should be treated with dignity and respect, however it is about time this proxy of the long Cold and sometimes hot War that has existed between many Muslim states and the state of Isreal for over 62 years be seen through clearer vision of the bigger picture. The truth will become clearer over time as it always does, however, the events of this episode will likely lead to short-term solutions to very long term problems. This is an opportunity to discuss and seek resolution to some very complex and tangled issues......Isreal, like any nation of the world should be held accountable for its actions if they violated international rights.....lets see what nation on this planet has the right to throw the first stone?

Music and Islam is quite a study. Often music is forbidden.
But also interesting is the Islamic music to celebrate the genocidal acts of Mohammad. I would like to see a collection of recordings on youtube that highlight the gleeful Islamic celebrations of Mohammad's genocide. But what else could we expect from a belief system which calls the suicide bombings of innocents a martyrdome operation?

So Anti-Racist the racist has sudedenly appeared and is trolling on this board. And the fact that there is a Holocaust survivor on board is proof that even those who saw evil on a grand scale earlier in their lives are also capable of forgetting what evil is. You side with evil because you supporet those terrorists who would once again exterminate the Jews. You hate the West and those who stand up for it, and it is an insult to the West and those who would love to live here that you live here and peddle your moralising self loathing crap here. The biggest racists and bigots on the planet are Muslims, who call for our murders hourly. And tell me again what race is Islam - the same Islam that slaughtered 80 million brown Hindus, at least another 10 million brown Buddhists, 120 million black Africans, 60 million Christians - many of them also black and brown, and heaven knows how many Jews, Sikhs etc - and suddenly in your tiny mind it is racism to criticise a cult that presided over evil on an epic scale like that, all in the name of Mohammed. If there is a racist here, it is YOU.

Sink the Damn Ships!
Posted by: Gene | Tuesday, June 01, 2010 at 11:02 PM
Israel had every right to inspect that vessel. The ship had been warned they would be inspected and so knew to expect it. Why didn't the ship stop? That is the question you should ask yourself. The captain, who failed to stop when commanded to do so, is responsible for what happened as a result.
Why is there video of Israeli troops getting hosed, and plates and other objects being thrown on top of them before they even boarded the ship? These are the actions of peaceful people? No.
I am the first person to criticize Israeli settlements, or abuses by the IDF, Phosphorous used in Gaza in 2009, etc. but does anyone seriously think Israel had no right to inspect these ships? if you do, You're wrong.
Today there are wounded soldiers in severe pain lying in Israeli hospitals, one in serious condition, all because the IDF attempted a risky commando assault to stop this ship, sending their guys into into s confined space with dozens of pipe wielding angry people, instead of just sinking it. Something they were well within their rights, under International Law, to do.
If you know anything about history of war (like the English sinking French ships to keep them from German hands, killing I think it was, 1500 French sailors in the process) those survivors from that ship are all (but the 10 who were killed) lucky to be alive!
There was no incident when boarding numerous other ships (does that tell you Israel came out shooting?) in the flotilla but on this last ship they are viciously attacked, as we can plainly see on the videos.
It seems that many people on that ship had the attitude that 'WIt is a great day because we will either reach Gaza, or martyrdom.' So some people at least went there with conflict in mind.
International Law: (Linked by Nykos, above)
67. Merchant vessels flying the flag of neutral States may not be attacked unless they:
(a) are believed on reasonable grounds to be carrying contraband or breaching a blockade, and after prior warning they intentionally and clearly refuse to stop, or intentionally and clearly resist visit, search or capture.

Máiread Corrigan-Maguire, Noble Peace Prize Winner in 1976 and Henning Mankell, Swedish renowned author were also on board the flotilla smuggling weapons into Gaza. A Noble Peace Prize winner became a terrorist sympathizer! Can you believe that, what has the world come to? Right?
