Yes, I know he's a lib, so what's the dif? Insuring that the seat not only stays liberal, but goes even redder, is a terrible blow. Like Sotomayer (chuckle) wasn't incompetent enough. Soon we are going to need an affirmative action plan for the rational, the smart, the objective, the gifted and the worthy, seeing as that they are becoming a real minority in the public sector.

One of the Supreme Court’s most liberal Justices, John Paul Stevens, has announced he will retire before Obama leaves office, giving the current President a chance to maintain the Court’s balance (4 conservatives/1 moderate-conservative/4 liberals).
It was obvious the savvy decision, since the next President will most likely be small-government conservative that would pick — well — a small-government conservative Justice.
The Huffington Post has a compilation of the 9 Judges with the most chance of being nominated by Obama. Basically, they’re all big-government types that support government regulation of non-interstate non-commerce activities, so not surprisingly, I dislike them all.
