Pamela,
I'm just thinking and praying about Rifqa... And I was thinking about the memorial in Israel (I don't remember the details) for the righteous ones, non-Jews who went to extraordinary lengths to help and protect Jews. If we (Christians) ever build something like that, you should go on it for the lengths you've gone to help our sister. Don't give up. Shalom haverah.

This woman's voice is healing medicine - very warm and delicious medicine of which there is no "overdose". This is from 1965? Think of the technology back then... that we can today enjoy this quality in spite of the technical hurdles speaks worlds about the talents of the source. Thank you, Ms. Geller, for sharing these gems with us. (Yes, we could all dig them up for ourselves but it's just so much more fun to wait and see which one of her treasures Pam chooses to share.) And, Cyril... a very humble but heartfelt "Amen!" from this badly broken "christian".
War memorials.... yeah... we're gonna need some of those...

Sarah Vaughan? Ho ho... Now you're talking! I love her. I've loved her since I was 17 when a ne'er do well, no-good cheating boyfriend , who was a fine sax player gave me her album, "It's a Man's World." The rich smokiness, that low, velvety molasses pouring-out of her soul. That gift changed my life as far as music is concerned. It's the only thing I can really thank whats-his-name for ;-)
