Yet another story of clubbing our impressionable children with O-divine one's international socialism:
Yesterday my 12 year old came home upset from school. Her 'guidance counselor' came into the classroom and asked those who opposed Obama to raise their hands. My daughter and four or five others raised their hands.
The teacher than demanded that my daughter 'debate' her about universal health care. When my daughter gave some facts and said that she doesn't agree with it (she's a well read girl who loves politics) the teacher began to berate her and told her that her two sons (middle aged men) couldn't afford health care and implied my child was a bad person and wanted to deny her sons and children the right to health care. You know the usual routine.
Then when my child said that she thought it was socialistic and there were better options the teacher again berated her- didn't she like public schools- again the standard liberal lines. Then my daughter said she thought the public schools were poorly run and that unions were causing issues. The teacher end ed up with a "socialism is good" comment and implying that my child was a not very good person for her beliefs.
I've called the principal about this. It reminded me of the teacher prior to the election- the John McCain will keep your father in wars forever woman. What sort of adult is so lacking in judgment and is so needy for an ego boost that attempting to destroy a 12 year old in debate is attractive to her?
Uh, a leftist fascist (redundant).
Well, my daughter went off with a smile to school today after I congratulated her on her valiant attempt to stop indoctrination in her school. What she was most upset about was the imbalance of power- the teacher could say whatever she wanted to her, but she had to be polite and watch what she said. (The teacher didn't like when she questioned if her sons had thought about getting rid of cable or using a less expensive cell phone to try to budget for their own health care instead of relying on others) Anyway my good, smart girl did tell me and I think t he principal is going to do something about it.
I would add to your list of what parents can do- get your kids some books to read- my child loved the 'Arguing with Idiots' book and I've ordered a couple of others for her as well. We talk about politics and I try to give my kids the tools they need so when they are attacked by an idiot teacher they can have some defenses to fight back. I think that is critically important. Maybe Pam could come up with a list of good books/references for teens and preteens to that end?
Yes, Ann Coulter's book: How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must).
Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.
Here was recommended reading in one Obama propaganda piece.
- Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky
- The New Organizers, Zack Exley
- Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy,
- Obama Field Organizers Plot a Miracle, Zack Exley, Huffington Post
- Dreams of My Father Chicago Chapters, Barack Hussein Obama
As a parent, get on those school boards and demand for every Alinsky book, there is an Ayn Rand Book. And Hayek and Von Mises.
Obama Organizing for America was recruiting in the classroom. An eleventh grade teacher distributed an internship program geared towards the 2010 elections. Using our kids as their goons. Can you imagine if the Republicans attempted such a fascist stunt?
Remember the children singing heil Obama songs? The Obama youth regiment brigade.
How about being forced to listen to his creepy speech?
During the election he had those freaky kids parades.
Atlas had The Obama Childrens Book -- illustrations show rainbows, sunbeams and an aura around Obama. Rainbows and moonbeams -- got that?
Then the goosestepping kids for Obama -- a school project. And now this, high school pods for O.
And what will these "interns" be force fed? The mother's milk of the left -- anti-war agitation, anti-capitalism, Marx, Lenin, Ayers, Ellie Light activism, LGBT agenda promotion, global warming, pro-jihad, and illegal immigration. For starters.
