I couldn't have said it better (except for the Hillary part). From Hillbuzz -- the emis: (hat tip S)
It is our great hope that along the way, most of you start your own sites, organize your own teams, and replicate what you like about us in your own way so a true movement forms from the grassroots up to take down the current Democrat Party, remove the Utopias from Washington, and restore this country on its path towards a prosperous capitalist future.
Once this is accomplished, it is very much our intent to go back to the anonymity and laziness of our old lives, our pre-2008 worlds. We never wanted to become activists. We didn’t want to spend our days and nights in front of computers. We certainly didn’t want to become targets for hate mail, death threats, or other creative reprisals — all for speaking out against the madness in this Golden Age.
We thought a lot about what this effort takes out of us, and about whether or not any of it is worth it. The only regret we have, though, at the end of the day, is that we didn’t think to start any of this in 2006, when we could have maybe mobilized people to stop Dr. Utopia when we all had the chance. It is a mistake that will forever haunt us, as we did everything we could at the time to make Hillary Clinton president. We failed her, because we just didn’t have the skills or experience we needed at the time.
We do not want to make the same mistake for Sarah.
We figure Election 2012 will have taken us on a four year adventure doing this — that’s a tour of duty in uniform with most callings. We will put everything we’ve got into bringing Utopia down and driving Liberals from power in that town. We will work day and night to bring down the current incarnation of the Democrat Party, and hopefully play an initial role in rebuilding it from its foundation into the centrist, moderate party it needs to be.
We don’t know what you’re thinking about as 2010 draws near, but we’re telling you it’s not going to be a fun year. It will be a lot of hard work. America is facing, in our opinion, the greatest threats its ever faced, foreign and domestic. We have a president who cares only about himself and believes he is on a reality TV show, not running the country in the best interests of the people. We have a Senate stacked with mad illiterates who vote on bills that don’t even physically exist and have no clue in hell what they are voting on. The Speaker of the House is Nancy Pelosi, which sums things up there better than anything else ever could.
So, we’re committing to remain on active duty here until Election Day 2012. We’d like to see a commitment from all the lurkers out there to start commenting more, because your feedback and ideas help us improve more than you ever know. Your energy keeps us going on days when we’re so tired we don’t want to put anything out there. We so appreciate all your links that you post in Open Threads, because it’s like having thousands of eyes looking in different places, creating an omniscience to those threads that a bunch of gay guys here in Boystown could never have on our own.
We know there are those of you out there far more talented than us, better at the whole computer thing, and with better ideas — so we hope you can surpass us in every way in the days ahead and lead charges of your own. It’s going to take every man, woman, cat, dog, child, old lady, and robot you know to bring sanity back to this country. We are all in this together.
Through 2010 and beyond.
