Update: Neighbors say he was giving away his possessions this morning and PASSING OUT QURANS. Newscaster: "he was proud of his religion".
The son of a bitch is alive -- can you believe it? He is in the hospital receiving the best medical care that your taxpayer dollars can buy.............. he is in stable condition. I am sure the libturd media will be lining up to get his sob story. CAIR must have lined up their Saudi financed legal team.
"Six months ago Major Hasan came to law enforcement attention for posting blogs supporting suicide bombing."
This puts him in the pious Muslim category.
The investigation was dropped.
"Hasan, the alleged shooter, was a psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for six years before being sent to Texas in July. He was apparently upset about being scheduled to deploy overseas, according to Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas, who told Fox News that she was told he may have been targeting specific individuals." (over at NPR) hat tip jj
A source tells NPR's Joseph Shapiro that Hasan was put on probation early in his postgraduate work at the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. He was disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues, according to the source, who worked with him at the time. NPR
More red flags: Nidal Malik Hasan was a psychiatrist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for six years before he transferred to the Texas base earlier this year.
The 39-year-old was born in Virginia, was not married and has no children. Officials speaking on condition of anonymity say Hasan received a poor performance evaluation while at Walter Reed.
UPDATE: Also interesting (hat tip Jim) Stratfor released this last night (Nov 4):
Al-Wahayshi, an ethnic Yemeni who spent time in Afghanistan serving as a lieutenant under Osama bin Laden, noted these simple attacks could be conducted with readily available weapons such as knives, clubs or small improvised explosive devices (IEDs). According to al-Wahayshi, jihadists "don't need to conduct a big effort or spend a lot of money to manufacture 10 grams of explosive material" and that they should not "waste a long time finding the materials, because you can find all these in your mother's kitchen, or readily at hand or in any city you are in." (STRATFOR is a paid service providing excellent global intel without common media bias.)

I sure that you are 100% correct. By this time tomorrow night the press will have made this murderer out to be the next in line for a Nobel Religion of Peace Prize.
My question is this; why are people on an Army base walking around unarmed???? Political correctness has taken over and allowed our bases to be exposed to this type of danger!!
Next will be all of the gun control crowd saying that this is why we need to disarm the American public. Even though this had NOTHING to do with the civilian population. One way or another it will be used as "another crisis that cannot go to waste".

To our government agencies, and the Obama administration in particular, The sacrificing of American is more important than acknowledging the truth about Islam and jihad. To be fair, the Bush administration was not much better.

I repeat.. there is NO WAY these soldiers stood around letting this muslim bastard take pot shots at them. A puzzle piece is definitely missing.
I respect the fact that Fort Hood has to keep things close to the vest. I pray they stay strong and stay safe. This is NOT over.

Pull the plug.

Pamela, don't buy any of that stuff about him being upset about being deployed to Iraq - that's totally bogus. He was a psychiatrist and stood no chance of being put in harm's way. He was a Major and would have known that he was in no danger and that he would have been posted to a base somewhere safe. His was not a combat arms or combat support arms MOS. He would have been in the Medical Service Corps. The most danger he would have been exposed to was catching H1N1 from someone that came to visit him in his office.

Hasan was a psychiatrist. Call me an Islamaphobe, but this just forces my decision to avoid Muslim doctors.
1,2,3....How long will it take for media to proclaim this has nothing to do with Islam.
Posted by: jayeeegee | Thursday, November 05, 2009 at 10:12 PM
I was just watching Greta.
They interviewed a former Army mate of his and the now retired officer said Hasan was gloating about the Little Rock shooter, was upset about how he was treated after arrest and wished there were more like him. He wished someone would have suicide bombed Time Square.
He also was super happy when O was elected and expected O to pull troops out of all Muslim countries. He was extra "upset" that didn't happen.
So he was an Obamamaniac convert who exhibited all the warning signs many accept as legit political views in the relativist mad liberal world.
Imagine a WWII soldier praising Hitler or the SS under McArthur s command....!!
This guy got away with open support of Jihad at the UA.

On the plus side - if he is alive, and remains so, he will be subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. That means no civilian court and no civilian jury. He will have a military officer as a judge, a military officer as a prosecutor, and military officers as the jury. The death penalty should be a foregone conclusion, provided he lives long enough in prison to actually make it to his execution date.

The problem isn't just that he was in the military. Are there other guys like this floating around in the military, running down the road to jihadism? How much influence do Muslims have in the military? How much influence do they have in our government? How many are enablers of Islam like Grover Norquist?

He tried to kill over 40 people. I have no sympathy for this monster. Hang him from the highest tree!

This incident is an obvious no-brainer that supports the idea that Rifqa is in danger from 'devout' muslims.

grover norquist is a monster, an enemy of America who should be tried for treason.

A suspect in the shooting, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, is a U.S. citizen whose parents are Palestinians from the West Bank, according to the Washington Post.
Hmmm

From post above...Just remember... Radical islam is at war with America and the western world.
Take the word 'radical' out of it and your getting somewhere.
Muslims should be barred from all US military service...'You can't serve two masters'...Allah always trumps...Allah wrote a book in which he was very clear as to who his enemies were and what he wanted his submitters to do about it. Hasan was just following the directions in the book...That he may also have had a personal motivation, is a blessing from Allah...

CNN panel was discussing about how he may been harassed. Again, it's our fault this happens. Makes me sick.

I consider any muslim who does not specifically and unreservedly renounce all teaching that Islam has the right to subjugate "infidels", substitute Sharia law for the Constitution, etc., to be collaborators with the enemy and therefore not to be trusted. Starting with that goddam cousin of his. If that sounds harsh, too effing bad.
Sadly, I was not surprised to hear about what Hasan was able to get away with and still remain in the military. Saw this happen before about 20-25 years ago with an outrageous case of multiple child molestation at military facilities. The officer involved claim he was being persecuted for his religion. No, he wasn't a muslim. He was a satanist. So this is nothing new.
Try him, confirm that he is guilty of murdering 12 human beings, shove him up against a wall in front of a firing squad and shoot him like the dog he is.

If the Army executes him by firing squad I hope they dip the bullets in pigs blood.
This BS about "he wanted to leave the Army but they wouldn't let him" is pure crap. All he would have had to do is resign his commission as an officer and walk away. Good thing he was a "moderate" moslem and a "good American".
Posted by: Timur | Thursday, November 05, 2009 at 11:50 PM
I'm glad he's alive. I hope he spews out all the crap in his head for every news camera in the world - I can think of one cable network that will give it pretty decent coverage. IT IS EXPOSURE. It's a good thing. Not to mention, now we can exact some good old fashioned American justice via the UCMJ.
By the way, am in central OH - hope to make it to the Rifqa rally, Pamela!

Islam is a religion of hatred and violence.
We should deport every last one of them.
Posted by: cayro | Friday, November 06, 2009 at 01:01 AM
We are allowing evil to run riot and murder in the name of progressive PC politics. I feel such deep sadness over the loss of these men. Their country has failed them.
We are NOT cannon fodder! When will enough be enought?

People! This scumbag had no business in the Military. Everyone that enlists knows ahead of time that deployment is a given first of all. Do we forget on how many of these types get all the free education in the US. If you want to serve and don't believe in USA policy then go back to the Middle East. There are too many Muslims in the USA now. It scares me to think how many are in New York right now. Sooner or later we must wake up and get these America haters out of here.

He received a poor evaluation at Walter Reed. Why was he still in the army? At the very least, why wasn't he given a general discharge? Sure he got an education at taxpayers expense but was keeping him in the service worth losing a dozen loyal Americans?

There is group on Facebook dedicated to this son of a bitch that says 'you did the right thing'! Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Maj-Nidal-Malik-Hasan/171906352171?ref=nf I am asking anyone who reads this to spread the word and report this despicable group and their behavior for supporting a man who MURDERED his countrymen and comrades who would have fought for him, trusted him and protected him on the battlefield. It is time to stand up for ourselves and our country, instead of just admiring the ones who do.
