It doesn't get any more surreal than this: Yusuf al-Qaradawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization, advising a Hollywood producer on a film about Mohammed as a 'messenger of peace'...
The influential jihadist sheik enforces homicide attacks against Jews and infidels.
Yusuf al-Qaradawi: spiritual adviser to the stars
This is a guest post by CSC Research Intern, Alexandra Sokolowski.
Hollywood's Barrie Osborne, producer of "The Matrix" and "The Lord of the Rings", is making a $150 million movie on the life of the prophet Mohammed.
It's a remake of the controversial 1976 film "The Message", which led to riots - and two deaths - in the US. To avoid reactions similar to those following the reprinting of the Danish Mohammed cartoons in 2006, the Qatar company backing the project, Alnoor Holdings, has assigned Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi - the spiritual head of the Muslim Brotherhood - as a spiritual advisor.
This is the same cleric who declared that Hitler was a divine punishment against the Jews:
"Allah has imposed upon the Jews, people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler [...] he managed to put them in their place. [...] this was divine punishment for them."
The same Islamist who called for jihad against Jews and their "allies":
"Deal with the arrogant tyrants and aggressors against Muslims, oppressive Zionists and arrogant Americans. O God, deal with every oppressor of Muslims. O God, deal with them powerfully."
"The Israelis might have nuclear bombs but we have the children bomb and these human bombs must continue until liberation"
This same extremist will be the advisor in chief to the movie, provisionally titled "The Messenger of Peace", to be distributed worldwide and meant to show the real face of Islam. I look forward to seeing this vision of peace inspired by one of the most dangerous Islamists around.

friends:

would you sleep with a rattlesnake curled round your feet? what is the damned difference? sooner or later, the bastards strike.

How can a movie be made about Mohammed? That is not Islamic. Mohammed did not allow anyone to paint of draw his picture while he was alive, and he forbade anyone to reproduce a human being or any living thing [only Allah can do that. So, the Taj Mahal will have to be blown up, because it has flowers chiseled into its walls --- quite offensive to Allah. Also, it was erected to the favorite wife of King Jamal, and this is also not Islamic because men are not supposed to love women, who are only sex objects. And monuments are not supposed to be erected to women in any case, only to outstanding male Moslems, but not with their face or body.]
There is one contemporary description of Mohammed: he was of medium height, fat, with very long arms, white skin, and heavy black hair and beard, and a hairy body. Once when he was slightly wounded in a fight on a hill, his attendant couldn't get him down from there because he was so obese. So I wonder how he will be depicted? Young and slender and desireable? Certainly not saintly, because he was a profligate, a pedophile, a liar, a thief, a murderer and he knew how to use psycho-terror in addition to physical torture, on those he disliked or who refused to believe in him. There were three things he hated: sculpture, which depicted a human or an animal [only geometric designs are allowed in Islam], poetry --- he had a poet whipped who wrote a poem about Aischa when she had a quick one with another man --- the Sunnis say she didn't have sex with him, but the Shiites are sure that she did --- anyway, poetry was not liked by him nor those who wrote it. And the third thing he hated was music, at the sound of a few notes of a flute or a voice singing, he would cover his ears with his hands. That's why NO music was allowed in Afghanistan, not even folk songs, because they wanted to create a PURE Islam, according to Mohammed's declarations. So, I wonder if this movie will present him truthfully? Certainly not, because no moslem has ever spoken the truth. It is not Islamic.

OT but was looking at Understanding the Hadith (based on Sahih Muslim) and I see this "It is not permissible for a man to wear clothes of yellow color (5173-5178), for "these are the clothes usually worn by the nonbelievers." Why aren't the detainees dressed in YELLOW?

I wouldn't go to see this movie even if my life depended on it.
